I had a minor surgery/procedure today I was super nervous about but everything went well!!! everyone was so attentive and nice, it made the experience an absolute breeze and I felt really comfortable and reassured ;;_;; couldn't ask for a better care team!!!

just got a couple days of healing ahead but super blown away...just had to share it out into the world!!! the care team even wrote me a handwritten note and added it in to my stuff ;;_;;

there has been A LOT of personal stuff going on the last couple months but finally getting to chip away at stuff, and getting medical providers that are helping eith the burden... I'm extremely lucky and thankful to have that experience !!!! can’t wait to get back to art…. can’t wait to hopefully feel some kind of relief soon!

They have formal training in sword fighting, but they use a frying pan cause they like to hear it go “bonk” when it hits things. (Can be romantic or platonic, up to you). Thx!✌🏽

Lumine was convinced you needed serious help the first time she saw you wander out of Mondstadt with a beat up frying pan that had a very long handle and a commission for a hilichurl encampment in hand.

Turns out, you did not need help, at least not with the Hilichurls.

Lumine still thinks that you need some serious mental help for fighting with only a frying pan and a pyro vision because “You like the funny sound” your pan makes when cracking someone’s head open like an egg.

And what makes it worse is that you know how to use a sword!

Hell! You're probably one of the best duelists in Mondstadt even with the frying pan! 

With an actual blade you’d probably be one of the best in Teyvat!

Lumine has seen you fight people like Jean and you nearly took her head off several times with that damn pan!

It was infuriating to her!

She has no Idea why it does either!

Well that's a lie, she knows exactly why it infuriates her but she won’t admit it.

Ever.

Or at least until she can prove that you need to use something else aside from a large frying pan.

Unfortunately people from all over have yet to force you on the back foot due to how unorthodox you and your pan is.

Catching the tips of spears and swords in the pan before redirecting them and using your new position to slam the side of the pan into their faces.

Blocking greatsword swings with the back of the pan before pushing the attacker off balance and countering.

Swiping away arrows and catalysts before hitting them with a storm of blows.

An almost perfect balance of offense and defense that was effective in duels and against handfuls of attackers and useful against hordes when paired with your Pyro vision.

She can count the amount of times she’s seen you use an actual sword on one hand minus four fingers.

And even then that was only when you were faced with a small army of ruin sentinels!

AND YOU STILL HAD THE PAN IN YOUR OTHER HAND!

So eventually Lumine had to admit that she would never find a way to stop you and your pan shenanigans.

But in doing so she had to admit something to herself she’d much rather not.

As she traveled with you, got to know you and tried to get you to pick up an actual weapon.

She had fallen for you and your antics.

The Traveler and her Pan Wielding compatriot with their mascot, Emergency Food!

It sounded like a bad circus act.

But she had to admit.

She liked the way it sounded in her head.

Eula Lawrence

Eula was someone who most people avoided interacting with or talking to.

Even still, she knew of you.

Hell, everyone knows of you.

Kind of hard to miss the adventurer who swings a pan around in place of a sword because of a love for the sound it makes when cracking open a skull.

That and no one understood why such a grand duelist never used a sword.

Yeah, most people tend to give you a wide berth.

Almost as wide as the one people gave Eula.

And considering you both ran in the same circles you two were bound to run into each other eventually.

When the two of you finally did run into each other, it was an interesting event.

Mostly because you killed a Lawlachurl by crushing its skull with your pan and laughing maniacally.

Eula knew then and there that you were the type of person who didn’t care about appearances or social faux pas.

It was something Eula thought more people needed.

And it was something that made Eula begin to take interest in you.

That and your propensity for violence with cooking utensils.

So the two of you began to get to know each other.

And in the process Eula realized something else about you.

You were exactly the type of person she liked.

And you were the person she had fallen for.

Jean Gunnhildr

You and Jean had known eachother since the both of you were young enough to run through the fields and streets of Mondstadt without care.

Long enough to develop a crush on you.

Despite your… love for swinging a Frying Pan over people’s heads.

Jean truly has no Idea what was going through your mind when you decided to have a Frying Pan as your weapon.

Especially since you were one of the best duelists she knew.

But considering the… personality quirks of everyone she knew…

You were by far one of the more normal people in her group of friends.

But Jean loathed to admit that, all because of that one word.

Friends.

That's all the both of you were to each other, no matter how much she wanted to change it.

What a cowardly woman she was.

But no longer, she was the one who was to be named the Acting Grandmaster once Grandmaster Varka left on his expedition.

That is when she will ask you.

When she’s backed by the strength and bravery of those who came before her.

Unfortunately, the world had decided against something like that happening just yet.

As you were one of the knights chosen to leave with Grandmaster Varka.

And Jean had no idea.

At least until she walked into your room, only to find it barren with a note addressed to her on the bed.

A note that told her that the both of you felt very much the same about one another.

A note that would be the last she heard of you for a very, very long while.

I've been having major issues with insecurity and perfectionism for a long ass time now but I'm tired of letting my fear control me. From now on I'll be posting anything that I write and feel like sharing. It will not be edited. It might not even be a canon scene in the story I'm writing it for or even part of a story at all but I don't care anymore. I'm so tired of caring.

I know I'm being unnecessarily blunt I'm just tired of the expectations I put on myself and I want to be clear that I'm giving myself the permission to be bad at writing so just be prepared for that or leave ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like we're reverting back to 2014 fandom where we write for fun and we write free (little anime reference there) so yeah I'm embracing the cringe.

I'm also stopping my tag list. It should really only matter if I enjoy writing and am having fun. I'm not here to network so unless someone personally sends me an ask wanting me to tag them when I post whatever I won't be tagging anyone in anything anymore.

I will do better about answering asks about my characters/stories tho because I really do appreciate them and I want to tell you guys more about both. Previously I was letting fear of getting the words right stop me (and honestly I've been kinda exhausted/busy so there's that too) but no longer! So I’ll prolly be going through my inbox soon so be prepared for that.

Hey Mystics!

It’s been a long time since I’ve last posted my own work and been pretty active (cries in 490 saved drafts).

I had to take a mental break from Tumblr due to personal and environmental problems. I won’t dive into what was going on but definitely it was (and still slightly is) a stressful time here. Plus, college has been whooping my ass more because of it (assignments were harder to complete due to mental health).

BUT

I am VERY EXCITED to tell you, the short story that introduces a special series will be posted either this Saturday or next Saturday. I’ve been working on it for a few months and I’ll be receiving feedback letters from my Creative Fiction class to see how to better write this story. 

Thank you to @turtle-babe83 @thelaundrybitch @amethyst12arts and @s-s-ironnie for being the biggest supporters for this story! Sharing some details and receiving feedback has been so reassuring and I LITERALLY can’t wait to post this story soon. 

I gotta get going since college is a thing and I won’t be done with it until the week after this. 

I’m excited to get back into the swing of things and hope to bust how artwork and written work soon.

I didn’t like how I phrased my last post so if you saw it, No you didn’t.

I got back into my Hunger Games obsession a little while ago and was wondering why I was so okay with films Peeta having straight hair when he has curly hair in the books. Then I realized he looks like a young John to me. Then that made me realize that Katniss reminds me a little of Sherlock! Same dynamic!

Like hELlo?  🤯 Serious but sweet when you get to know her Katniss with dark (slightly curly at least in the films) hair. Has a hard time making friends. Sweet blonde strong boy who people get along with a lot easier with.

Anyway those are my thoughts. Sorry I haven’t posted much. It’s hard reblogging things from my old blog when so much is happening irl. Hopefully I’ll go back to posting a lot again soon. ✌🏽

Hi hi!

It’s been a min since I’ve been on tumblr for any of my fandoms; like this is the least I’ve been on tumblr in years (which makes me sad to think about).

I definitely wanna come back and finally finish this fic! I’m glad to hear someone out there is still reading and enjoying what I have so far! I think I may have a half to a dozen chapters left in the storyline to wrap it up. If I get back deep into the fandom, maybe I’ll do an epilogue or oneshots to go with it.

Now, down to the nitty gritty: on top of working a full time job (40-50 hrs), I decided to make life less fun and more stressful for myself by going back to school part time. Tbh, I regret it. I’m one of those “college isn’t for me” type of ppl but I don’t see a future at the current job I’m at and I don’t wanna do it for the rest of my life or honestly for the rest of the year so I’m hoping this degree will be my out 🤷🏽‍♀️

That being said, I have even less time to write as a hobby. Also that being said, right before my semester started, I did decide to give this fic another go and at least write another chapter, which I did accomplish. It’s a decent length but I’m not 100% happy with the plot direction nor is it edited, so I don’t plan on releasing it just yet but idk when I’m gonna get the chance.

Now, the kinda good news: my semester ends at the end of august (tho the way my school is set up, the next semester starts only a couple weeks after). This kinda coincides with the rerelease of the remastered TLOU game that’s meant to be coming out at the end of September. What I’m hoping is that streamers on YT will get early access, make gameplays with the new and updated graphics and THAT content will get me out of my rut and give me the inspiration to write more and complete the fic so everyone can enjoy. Ik that means nothings coming out anytime soon (unless I find time to edit the aforementioned chapter) but please bear with me and I will try my best

Well guys. 

We’ve reached the “little over a month until game release” threshold. 

The calm with which I write this devlog is a straight up façade. 

I’ve actually been putting up writing and posting one because as I’ve mentioned before, these things serve as part updates for y’all and part journal entries for me to read later. But lately I didn’t have anything noteworthy (brain fog, work woes, health tingz, you know the drill) or anything that wasn’t a serious spoiler. And then we got new followers (HI NEW PEEPS!!) and the blog was livelier and it was just easier putting my energy towards that lol.

But now I do have some updates, so here we go! 

Core Reviews played and reviewed us! Please check it out, show it some love and share the post! (And I’ll add it to the pinned messages sometime soon).

Beta testing is done. Officially. That’s right, I didn’t combust or die 😤✌🏽 (I did however learn a LOT and I’m grateful to every single person who took time to help me continue polishing up the game in time for October.) There are still plenty of things for me to do between now and release *cue tantrum* but if I continue to tell myself that it’s for the best, maybe I’ll start to believe it...

I made a TikTok. It’s really just another personal platform masquerading as a public space soooo I’m curious as to what kind of content I’ll post (this kills two birds with one stone: learning how to use TikTok and marketing the game ahaha)

Those epilogues I mentioned way back when?? They finished, baby. Now I can share what I’m thinking! Originally I drafted up this extra content as epilogues for the main game, just something short and sweet and super fun. But then months went by, and April and Lydia specifically were giving me the most issues with their routes, so I went back and forth with whether to release epilogues. And then I managed to buckle down and fight and win! So I’m editing them now. 

What does this mean for y’all? I still think I’ll be pushing it to have these edited, coded, tested and ready by game release. (It’s only 10k additional words total sooooo it’s doable but I worry these days about pushing myself.) Plan B???

Remember when I said I was gonna enter Yuri Jam? Well. I am considering releasing April, Florence, and Lydia’s epilogues as ‘bonus content’ aka a mini game for the Jam, and then releasing the boys’ + Billie’s bonus content after the jam ends. Technically I’m entered in the jam, but I never decided on what to work on, and hey, this is totally something that could work for a jam space??? I’d check a personal goal off the list and you guys would have something extra to look forward to as the year winds down. 

I’ve other got things to tie us over between now and October 18, but in in the meantime, check out the pinned post! There’s art and MC x LI drabbles, character boards (that are 90% accurate to the current status of the game LOL) a quiz, and a survey for the demo (which many of you have completed, thank you!)
