at first, i kind of feel disappointed with overall storytelling of aos. they could dwell more of human problems, they could make more of the magic realm, they could make the female characters as good as male characters, they could do better.

but then i think, the story is enough as it is. if the story dwell too deeply, it can make the drama too heavy and the market become more segmented. i think the production team wanted to make something that everyone can enjoy since korean viewers rarely chose fantasy genre when they want to watch drama. producing a drama that demand full computer graphic effects is hard, it is expensive, and the market is not that promising. this technical reason is probably why aos story seems only running on surface level.

story wise, yes, at least they have to addressed the internal conflict between park jin and uk, like how park jin has to admit his wrongdoings and ask forgiveness for his longtime psychological abuse to uk. and for choyeon to know the truth about her family and later to accept cho yeong as she is. but anyway, i think they will work it out later, let’s just leave that to our imagination i guess?

for cho yeong, i think some of you have explained very well about her character arc and i couldn’t agree more. to be honest, i was also wanted her to get her sword back and kill jinmu with it, i wanted her to be strong for herself, but after some thinking, reading, etc... i think it makes sense that she is actually choose to make peace with her situation.

just finished the Chase, goodby Ian and Barbara my beloveds

i did not expect to fall in love with them as much as i did

i love their journy, i love how important they were to the doctor and how much he will miss them, my sweethearts

i love how their group went from "Ian as the moral heart of the show (him not agreeing to tell the thals to go to war for them in the Daleks), and Barbara being fearfull but resorsfull to try and get home at all coust, to Barbra (after learning to trust the doctor and vise versa) becoming the moral heart of the group, and Ian is the current "man who happens to be in space and somehow is also an action star but don't let it fool you because he is as confused about it as you are"

how Barbara, my true heart Barbara, in every episode leading to their leaving, slowely developed and became basically a peace fighter, always making the best plan that she can and following through with it to try and save the current oppresed class they were with in the episode, often declaring she is taking a page from the doctor's book, even though she was there when it was written. heck! she helped writing it!! but was always there to smile, give a hug, and take control to help and save all of the tardis team's necks!

how her conversations with the doctor often lead to the most character development for the doc, managing to make him see reason and helping to soften him up so, often it became: Barbara having a deep convo with the doctor = episode immidiatly becoming incredibly good

how Ian, my sweet ian, has managed to gain so much plot armor that he managed to get to the end of every story by basically wondering in. the littiral definition of ill just keep walking and ill get there eventually, how he became such a suprisengly good fighter, managing the defeat the captain of the Aztec army, and managed to throw multipul people off his back. (i kinda think he probably learned about it from the doc, who was probably extremley happy to teach the young man about the gentel art of fisticuffs), how he and the doctor managed to always find fasinating science things together of their little "science bros" walks,

how his fundemental talks with the doctor were the first time someone probably quastioned the doctor's way of life!!! how cool is that!!!

it was so weird and sad knowing the tardis is flying away without them, i wish them the best, and Steven, bring it on

Every saturday I patiently waited to see if mew will ever forgive top, how sand and ray will try to get back together, how cheum and april tried to live a peaceful life among our messy bois, how nick is going to go back for ton and how ton will shit things up again.
