I FINALLY FINISHED THE CLONE WARS NOVELIZATION!!! Now I can buy another star wars book with Rex in it and take forever to read that one too!

Some thoughts about the last bits of it

GODDD 😭😭💖💖 it had like a little epilogue that was told from Rex's perspective even!! They didn't have to do that but they did it for me to bookend it! And I'm so happy it did, my poor husband I need to hold him and soothe his aches he goes through so MUCH

It talked about how tired he was, having to go through all this and all his losses, day after day. There were actually quite a few moments in it that show how Rex really does have his doubts about the war and all they're sacrificing for it, but he simply can't dwell on them too long or else he'll break ;///; I want him to be able to crack or break safely in my hands not worrying about the shards and help him put them together again. I want to be HIS support.

And ALSO it's literally in just one paragraph but Rex mentions something called spiced creams, being some kind of dessert he's always wanted but can't get his hands on cause that sort of thing doesn't come easy in wartime I suppose. it makes me think of a scenario where when he comes on shore leave at the same time as Brea and they're able to spend some quality time together she surprises him with some! 🥺💖💖

It makes me wonder how much actually good food he's had in his life. I bet it'd be good enough for him to get emotional about it, and we'd wanna share it with the other boys too!!
