Can you elaborate on that? Why Korra and Asami don't work as a couple?

Like Kataang, it's really one-sided. Asami is a friend to Korra, but we never see that reciprocated, and it's not like Asami hasn't been through her own mess. Also, Asami was reduced to Korra's supporter, even though she is smart, talented and powerful in her own right and deserves to have her own story play out, too. Asami really got demoted to Korra's therapist by correspondence and they called it a romance.

Aside from that, the build up just wasn't there IMO. There was a reason that Bryke had to confirm that the ending was supposed to imply a romance. I'm a firm believer that a couple shouldn't have to kiss on screen to know that they're together, and them kissing should definitely not only be the reason we know they're together (stares hard at Kataang), but there needs to be something between them that suggests as strong and deep connection, and sorry, them spending a season being pen-pals is not it.

One major reason Zutara is the most enduringly popular ship in the fandom is because the build up was there. They were mutually supportive, comforting, and even physically affectionate. Plus, the chemistry between them was palpable from season 1. If the show ended without an official ship, people would probably assume they got together later on because the connection was there. Not to mention they spent the show's emotional climax together in one of the most romantically coded sequences in children's media. Korrasami doesn't have that. Then the last season, they aren't even really sharing much screentime, and there was never any particular chemistry between them. The big romantic moment is Korra and Asami walking off into the sunset (spirit world, whatever) holding hands. As if that isn't a common platonic show of affection between friends. Female friends especially.

I think the only reason people aren't as annoyed with Korrasami is because they were the first (?) official lesbian couple in a kids' show. Which...okay, fine. I get that sometimes you have to appreciate representation when you can find it and I'm never going to tell someone they can't like Korrasami because I think it's poorly written and weak. Still, Korrasami seemed even more tacked on than Kataang and I'm pretty sure it was an attempt by Bryke to drum up interest in the show after ratings fell so low Nick didn't even bother airing it on TV.

All that being said, Korrasami doesn't piss me off nearly as much as Kataang. It's not even close. At least Korra and Asami are both grown, and Korra doesn't need Asami to play nursery maid to her. At least Asami spending so much time off screen at least implies she has her own things going on, not that Korra seems all that interested, but whatever.

Okay. After over a goddamn year, I have finally finished Couple of Mirrors. Consider me wrecked.

I don't even know where to start with this show? It's everything I've ever wanted, save for the censorship issue. (But I think I can read the manhua to soothe that particular ache.) It's so damn good. I watched this with month-long breaks between episodes, so I don't remember everything, but I still want to try to write up my initial thoughts bc it's fun to reread that kind of thing after a rewatch or some time of brainrot.

First, without getting into spoilers: I adore this show. The plot is incredible - dense without being overwhelming, unpredictable without nonsensical plot twists. Nearly every episode had me on the edge of my metaphorical seat. At the same time, the characters were given time to shine and develop. Especially Xu Youyi is just one of the characters of all time, I'm obsessed with her, but I definitely got attached to side characters as well. (Which is dangerous, considering the body count this show has.) I really appreciate the pacing, the little moments of downtime between the imo impeccably paced rush of revelations and developments. There are some things that could be seen as... soap opera-esque, in a way? Just because of the amount of family drama, but I think it all worked really well bc the show immediately tells you what kind of show it is and what the stakes are. None of the drama is out of place, is what I'm saying. There's a lot of murder.

There are complaints about Xu Youyi and Yan Wei not having a lot of screentime together, and while this is in some way true, I... didn't mind? They're both set up well enough as individual characters for their interactions to be meaninful, and it was more than enough for me to get invested in them. (Not to mention that there's a whole episode of domestic Yiwei in the end.) But mostly, and I think I've said this before somewhere, I came for the lesbians and stayed for the plot. Xu Youyi's story is about so many things, and it's important that each of these things was given the space it deserves. This is a murder mystery/thriller first and a romance second, and I honestly prefer it that way. The pacing felt right, and the central relationship still came across well.

Final non-spoilery verdict: PLEASE watch this show if you haven't seen it yet. It's so, so, so good. You can watch the whole thing on Youtube for free, and the subtitles are actually decent.

There are approximately fifty separate things I'm obsessed with, but I'll only name a few.

First of all, the whole Thing between Zhou Heng and Xu Youyi, and especially Zhou Heng's character. Holy shit, this is well done. Zhou Heng is never portrayed as the good guy, but the sheer extent of his unhingedness is revealed so gradually that you're pretty much bound to underestimate him. He starts out as a bad husband who cheats on Xu Youyi, but for what it's worth, it seems like he does love her and wants to try to be better for the first episodes. He defends her from his family, he supports her, and while Xu Youyi is right not to let him get away with that after he broke her heart like that, he's sympathetic. He's not a cartoon villain or a cardboard cutout of an evil abusive husband. And he still isn't that when it's revealed that he fucking tried to kill her. That caught me off guard so hard! I didn't expect that at all, and then it just fucking kept going. It's in episode 10, during the dinner he has with Xu Youyi, that I realised that he's not only an utter dickhead, he's batshit insane. And it's the very fact that he was built up as a sympathetic character that makes this reveal as creepy as it is. Gods, what an asshole! Gives me chills of the worst kind! A superbly done antagonist.

(The same is true for Zhang Wan, too. She's a lot more obviously mean, but the extent of that isn't revealed all at once, and the relationship she had with Xu Youyi before is still meaningful. Zhou Heng's father, too - he acts according to his motivations, and whether he's with Xu Youyi or against her depends on the way she fits into his plans. Just, good antagonists all around.)

Second of all, I adore the characters so, so much?! Xu Youyi's development, her sunny personality, her heartbreak, and the way she gets more and more tired of being nice, are so [chef's kiss]. Detective Jiang was right, actually - she is someone who'd happily live with a murderer. She's so genuinely kind, she doesn't mean harm, but after everything she's been put through, she's ruthless deep down. I love how cold and collected she is when she demands the divorce, when she signs the papers, when she's in court, and especially when she finds out that Yan Wei is indeed the murderer of Zhang Wan and doesn't even hesitate to lie to the police to help her. Xu Youyi has had it and she will not be taking any prisoners.

It took me a little longer to get fully attached to Yan Wei, simply because she's not the main character, but the last episode really sealed the deal for me. She's grown so much because of Xu Youyi! She's started to live a life that isn't ruled by her past, she's capable of joking with Xu Youyi and she's a good mother and she's happy, which she didn't know how to be before! She even gets along with other people; she's on good terms with Mr Wang and has a bit of a teasing relationship going on with Detective Jiang. (Big fan of that, btw. I think they should be bros.) And yet, she's also presumably doing some very shady stuff to get money, and we haven't seen her find actual closure yet. I get why the last few minutes aren't the most popular ones - they're a bit of a shock, for one, and the pacing of the show fails here, although I assume that's all a set up for the next season - but they make sense. Again, Detective Jiang is right! Xu Youyi doesn't know anything about Yan Wei's past, and it's a past that's pretty important for who Yan Wei is! That's the one thing I was worried about throughout the show: that Yan Wei's past would just stay unaddressed, and that Xu Youyi wouldn't find out. So, yeah, I do like that they made that into a (future?) plot point. It's such a strong beat for Yan Wei's arc, I really hope we do get that second season and get to find out what she's been doing behind Xu Youyi's back and what those flowers mean. Yan Wei deserves some more development!

(That being said, I still think that season finale cliffhangers are bad writing and shouldn't be done, especially with the state of queer entertainment in China being what it currently is. Looking at you, Scum Villain season 2.)

Just saw your post about b/ler and their stans hating on everyone and I have to agree.

Like, I don't mind discussing little theories, but the way they go about things it's super annoying. Like the whole blue meets yellow in the west shit like that was a thing for scoops. idk why you make it about b/ler. Or saying Mike dressed up in yellow at the airport for Will when El's favorite color is also yellow. When they complain about other characters having screentime, I have to laugh because they manage to make anything about that ship anyway, so it shouldn't matter so much in the end. They act like this ship is the foundation of the show when Will is barely a real character because he doesn't even have a personality other than the gay kid who disappeared. And the fandom hardly develops his character because his relationship with Mike is the only thing they talk about. (And before ppl complain, other characters are underdeveloped as well, but I don't put them on a pedestal and call them the main character of the show like they do with Will)

Their treatment of El in all of this is the most upsetting part. Similar to Steve, she isn't allowed to be hurt or upset if others do something (aka r/nance, b/ler). Like they should all be super supportive allys, and if they are upset, they are deemed as homophobic or terrible friends.

I think the saddest part what i've read about b/ler was people insisting that Mike never loved El and had always feelings for Will, which is so cruel? In general, making m/leven important to Mike is not a thing in the b/ler fandom because they don't want Mike to be bi, which idk what the problem is with that. I just think they are scared that Mike is still interested in girls is threatening their ship or whatever.

Anyway, what I also hate when discussing b/ler is that they simply make El a lesbian in order so she doesn't feel bad instead of letting her deal with complicated feelings. Like in s4, Mike's inability to say he loves her clearly upsets El, meaning she does have feelings for Mike that are beyond a friendship level. It's also weird that they take away El's agency and reduce her to this abused child who doesn't know about anything so she shouldn't be in a relationship because she can't know what love is. (Ignoring s2 and her learning throughout the tv about the world and feelings and making her own decision regarding that part.) If we go that route non of the kids should know about love bc they are all traumatised and fucking 14 lol. And then they break up lumax so Max and El are together and everyone is happy? (Forgetting about Lucas) Also, idk crossdating within a friend group is so messy, but people just take the complicated parts out.

Also, what I found not discussed enough is the Will and El relationship. Like yes, Will likes Mike, but El is his sister. He also loves her. And tbh I think he would have reservations about dating his sisters ex-boyfriend because he cares about her. Maybe El gives them their blessing, but Will would know that she's hurting, so he might not follow through because he values the sibling bond with El more.

In general, I hate when there are ships that have to be so clean and liked by every character that is around. They don't exist in a vaccum, other people esp those who have close relationships with the people in those ships (ex-partners, best friends, siblings etc) might have negative reactions to it which is fine. That doesn’t mean they are homophobic it means they feel betrayed by a friend or sibling who dates their ex they loved for a very long time.

I like the theory of b/ler, but people take out the complexities that come with the ship. And then when you point them out, you're the worst person on earth, and your fave deserves to die. (esp Steve)

oh my gosh, no worries at all about this being on the longer side of asks! i don't mind at all and actually really like talking about this stuff and you brought up so many good points! since this is longer, though, i'm gonna put my thoughts under the cut <3

firstly, the theories CAN be fun. emphasis on can because they aren't anymore. b/lers make it clear that you pretty much have to agree with every single point they make, treating every single detail as canon rather than a theory, and it's exhausting. some of the ones i read a while back were genuinely interesting and fun! but when you take away the actual idea of it being a theory and just insist upon it being the truth, then going as far to call other people who don't agree/who are skeptical stupid or homophobic or some other name they come up with, then it makes people not want to interact with you.

i'm gonna be really honest here and say that i think all this stuff about blue and yellow is really ridiculous. i mean, they're quite literally colors. not saying there's no literary meaning to colors, but implying that every time we see blue and yellow in the show is some secret b/ler symbolism is just... so bizarre. (again, this could have been a fun little thing, but they take everything SO seriously and are such negative people that any amount of enjoyment is immediately stripped away just because you can't even have a civil disagreement with them without getting accused of being homophobic or without getting loads of anon hate.)

also, yeah, will is barely even a character. he barely has any screentime that's spent creating his character, despite the fact that i think he's an essential point to the show. he's more of a plotline than a person, and i think blaming anyone other than the duffers for that makes no sense. fictional characters don't write themselves??

as for treatment of el, i made a post forever ago the parallels between steve and el as characters, and i think that goes for here too. they're both essential characters at this point, they're heroes, but even still b/lers treat both of them terribly. with el, it's pushing her to the side, dehumanizing her in a very ableist way, etc, and with steve, its much the same. dehumanizing, pushing him to the side, not allowing either of these characters to have feelings about their best friends/close friends dating their exes, and its just not realistic and its also weird. to enjoy a ship is one thing, but to push it onto everyone else and actively hate on other people who don't like it (which, by the way, you literally do not have to have "valid reason" to dislike a ship. you can just not like/hate it and that should be fine!!!) is immature and exhausting.

interestingly enough, i think b/lers mainly view el and steve the same way - an "overrrated" character, probably some part of why they hate the "general audience"/"fanservice", and, interestingly, i think there's also this idea that they're both basic in some way. like, steve is the "basic" straight white guy (idk why there's anything wrong with that??) and el is either a misinformed, confused lesbian or a pathetic straight girl too and its... so exhausting as well because characters can be queer without having to be mike and will!!! (and in the view of el they can also be queer without breaking up other important ships just for the sake of b/ler??) the amount of times i see people say that people are homophobic for having steve or el as their favorites is just... why? like, going on some kind of homophobia-yelling witch hunt isn't going to make anyone like you or your ship that you're so heavily promoting.

and with mike, i've seen some people (the more tolerable ones, i think) say he's bi while others insist he has no attraction to girls whatsoever, and i don't know, i think people read into it too much just to go and discredit el's relationship with him. if they can go and say, "oh, their relationship wasn't important to mike OR el so now we win!!" then they can convince themselves that b/ler is endgame, everything is happy for them, there are no problems, etc, which, again, is unrealistic. breakups are messy even if both parties were not to feel romantically about the other, and especially when you're gonna go and date someone in your group again. like, i've personally seen situations like that entirely destroy friend groups, time and time again, but let's ignore that for the sake of b/ler!

(also side point that goes along with what you're saying - they're literally 14!! i think so many people forget that since the actors look older or whatever, but like... they're children.)

the will and el relationship is always ignored and never talked about because it doesn't fit in the b/ler agenda (unless they assume that el is a lesbian and therefore doesn't care about will going on to date mike). which honestly is a shame because i love their dynamic but i also would rather not hear thoughts about that from b/lers anyway, but regardless it's a major plothole in their plans that they all just totally ignore because the only solutions to it are severely out of character.

i honestly don't think there's anything wrong with shipping m/leven or b/ler, if you're not insane about it. the b/lers heavily despise people who ship mike and eleven and go on to call them homophobic (are we sensing a trend here?) or whatever else, and i honestly haven't seen enough m/leven shippers here to know what they're doing so i won't put words into their mouth or whatever. either way, there's this general distaste and shunning that happens of anyone who doesn't like b/ler or ships something else and i'm personally so tired of it. i don't ship either of these because i just don't care that much (and also these people ruined it for me) but shipping m/leven does not make you inherently homophobic, and shipping b/ler does not automatically make you annoying in the way that most of them are.

now that i've kinda covered your thoughts, i want to add a few more points of my own that i think of every time this situation arises.

one, i think a large chunk of the toxicity of the b/ler community comes down to the fact that they worship the ground the duffers walk on. and this is a general thing that a lot of people and some of the media do, where they dramatize how good the show is and hype it up to be some untouchable, perfect series, which is far from the truth. they're convinced the duffers are on their side (b/ler endgame) and thus can do no wrong. (also a very weird way to act when they go and hate every other character CREATED by the duffers - but oh no! they didn't do it because they wanted to or because they like other characters too, it's all because of the general audience and how they just fuck everything up!!).

which, this is just setting them all up for failure. no one is getting this perfect dream of an ending, and i think if anyone knows this, it's the steve fans. we are painfully aware of the fact that our fave will either die or will have some shitty ending that none of us want, and b/lers are on the other side of the spectrum where they think everything will end perfectly for them, and you're just setting yourself up for colossal disappointment. every little hidden clue or theory that you've come up with is not going to be true, every bit of "foreshadowing" isn't going to pan out, and that's just a fact. the duffers simply are not as good as these people want to think lol.

secondly, i think the treatment of el and steve is also very similar in the viewing of their love triangles. there's st/ncy vs j/ncy and m/leven vs b/ler, and in both of these situations, everything is always one person's fault when people don't get their way - el and steve. if j/ncy happens and steve's fine with it, then people have to talk about how shitty of a boyfriend he supposedly was. if j/ncy happens and steve's upset, then it's on him for, again, being shitty and "deserving" to be alone. if st/ncy happens then it's steve's fault for having feelings or being a popular character or some other bullshit that makes no sense. and in the case of el, will and mike, it's the same. b/ler happens and el's upset, it's her fault for caring about her boyfriend. b/ler happens and el isn't upset, it's her fault for NOT caring. m/leven happens, then el is primarily the problem because SHE loves mike and cares about mike and "only gets all these things because she is a popular character."

overall, it's just pointing fingers, making excuses, and acting like babies 24/7 until they cry enough to get their way, honestly.

my thoughts on NHIE season 3

devi!! i absolutely loved her character this season. she's constantly hated on for being problematic, so it was so cool to watch her grow this season. i hated how i could never like her because of her problems, and watching her change is so therapeutic. she's definitely a fave now.

aneesa and fabiola... i kind of hated how they treated that relationship. like it totally came out of nowhere and i was SO ready for it, and then there was this huge buildup to them dating and then... nothing? they broke up?

it felt like a big slap in the face for the queer viewers. devi and eleanor's heterosexual relationships were deeper and more explored while all of fab's were just like "oh! here! we made a lesbian a main character! we're such allies!"

i just feel really upset about that because they had so much potential. they couldn't have spent some more time delving into the awkwardness in aneesa and fab's relationship and how they move past it together? it's like they were each others' rebounds (which it was clearly stated in the show that they weren't)

but! addison is super hot and the way they casually slid in that they use they/them pronouns was cool. i hope addison and fab get more screentime in s3.

also i didn't like eve but i hate how they just... had the breakup offscreen? like cmon devi's breakups are so much more explored so why can't we have the same for fab?

i loved her character so much this season but... her reason for not going to shrubland was kind of flimsy (at least to me). the whole "i want to spend more time with you" thing would've worked out with her mom if they had spent the season setting up a conflict between devi and nalini but... they didn't? it was just all past season drama which is still important but to me it just didn't make sense. idk if anyone else thinks that.

KAMALA AND MANISH??? like cmon hottest and most overlooked couple. though it was kind of a jumpscare when manish shaved his iconic scrub for the first time.

kamala ate this season. she's an independent woman who can make her own decisions about her love life! good for her!

i know the reason they broke up was valid but honestly? we could've skipped over the entire des thing and just had a long season of paxton and devi's relationship problems.

it just seems like such a waste to have all the setup and barely any payoff.

makes me kind of think it was just fanservice to please the daxton shippers (again no hate)

overall i give the season a 7/10. there were a lot of plotholes and lazy writing and queer erasure that need to be addressed and fixed next season. but we got to see the character we all despised grow and actually make good decisions for once. we got to see all the characters learn about themselves and grow and honestly, that was a very beautiful thing to see.

Im a Wattpad reader and since watching magnificent century ive been reading a lot of fanfiction about the show.There is a couple of ships like Mustafa x Hurrem, Hurrem x Ibrahim and others,what do you think about them.And do you have any favorite ships ir couples from the show?And why do You like them

I'd never really thought about Mustafa x Hürrem. I don't have any feelings about it as a pairing. But it doesn't surprise me that it exists since they're two of the most popular characters in the series. My main ship for Mustafa has to be him and Helena though. She was a lot of fun as a character and the one who was the least blinded by the fact that he was a prince.

I know it's popular, but Hürrem x Ibrahim is something of a NOTP for me. Both because Ibrahim was a major source of trauma for Hürrem (e.g. the Leo incident) and also because his relationships with everyone around him, especially his romantic ones, are always so toxic. I might ship him with Süleyman (because they deserve each other), if I liked either of them enough as characters. But I don’t.

Early on I lowkey shipped Hürrem x Hatice, but it soon got overtaken by Hürrem x Mahidevran to be To be honest, the appeal of Hürrem x Mahidevran is both in the tension of their rivalry and because they both deserve better than Süleyman.

I also love SümGül Ağa as a crackship because their rivalry is the best thing and I think it’s funny.

My main Mehmet ship was Mehmet x Cihan. Simply because even in spite of the lack of screentime, they were adorable.

I ship Selim and Nurbanu because over time they develop into a pairing who are a lot more on the same page than the other ones. And for the most part they supported each other. Also the show unfairly demonises the both of them, and they're more worthy than how they get framed.

Bayezid and Defne were tragic but sweet. I have to admit that after the attempted poisoning, I was rooting for them to reconcile and properly get together.

I also rooted for Mihrimah x Pedro because she she should have been able to make her own decisions and not to have to be confined by an arranged marriage that she hadn't even wanted in the first place.

I also liked Daye x Hafsa, Hürrem x Leo and Matrakçı x Viktoria. Also I don't have any main Nigar ships, but I do like to headcanon her as wlw. Also I am a lesbian Aybige believer.

For pride month I decided to post about my hc for sexualities of the Naruto characters, why, and who I would have picked for their partner!

Team 7

Naruto: Bisexual but definitely leans more towards men. I'd even accept gay. It's just funny to me that he put so much effort into a reverse harem jutsu that's different men, while his original is just female versions of himself! He'd be with Sasuke of course!

Sasuke: GAY (I wish I knew how to use the colors better)! I mean he's never shown an ounce of romantic emotion towards a woman, neither does he like them even touching him. His feelings for Naruto are beyond obvious so they'd be together.

Sakura: STRAIGHT!! Super straight. Obsessed with the same boy her whole life. If she had moved on when he wasn't interested then I might consider otherwise, but really that's such a straight girl thing to do. I couldn't see her with anyone at all honestly; she'd be bitter her whole life hoping for Naruto and Sasuke's relationship to fail so she could try to swoop in.

Sai: Asexual! (Again it's hard to do the colors 😭). He just doesn't seem to be a romantic or sexual sort, but I think he would love a platonic relationship!

Kakashi: Bisexual! He has so many ships with actual evidence that it's hard to ship him anywhere!!! Despite most of his ships being mostly men he has an unhealthy obsession with straight porn so..... What relationship I see him in changes with the tides. Iruka, Guy, Obito, it's hard over here.

Yamato: have no idea honestly, I didn't get enough time with him to tell but I love him anyway

Iruka (he deserves to be included in Team 7): The ships really make me wanna lean Bi but outside of that he doesn't have any romantic connection with anyone really. So I'll go with SUSPECT!

Team 10

Ino: Lesbian/Bisexual! She's so femme I love her! She showed signs when she was younger about being into Sakura and was one of the few girls to think Sasuke wasn't that cool. It's suspicious. It's hard to ship her anywhere cause there's just not enough screentime, but I like putting her with Karin as a crack ship just cause they'd have good energy.

Shikamaru: Straight straight STRAIGHT! Just really straight. Can't see him with anyone but Temari honestly.

Chouji: Straight but would be the bestest Ally. He's just a super sweet guy I love him very much. He doesn't have enough screentime so I can't really ship him anywhere.

Asuma: Straight obviously haha.

Team 8

Kiba: Straight. He's just straight vibes. He's so funny and has really good energy and I think he would be the one Hinata would move on with. They know each other well and I think her soft feminity would compliment his brash masculinity.

Hinata: Straight. She's also had a crush on the same guy all her life. In her case I don't see her continuing to hold on after Naruto and Sasuke got together. She would be very sad for a very long time, but I do think she could settle for being friends. The only other possibility for her would be Kiba.

Shino: Suspect, but only because he also doesn't get a lot of screentime. It's a shame really! He's such an interesting character.

Kurenai: Straight, but she also gives some sort of queer vibe. Dunno why but she just does. Like a PE teacher...

Team Guy

Lee: he's hard to pinpoint. He comes off as straight, but I don't think he'd let gender get in the way of love. Maybe Heteroflexible. On one side of the spectrum I could see him marrying some NPC woman with some incredibly romantic and beautiful meetcute but on the other there's Gaara.

Tenten: Same as Lee honestly. She gives off straight vibes, but also not. Team Guy is funny in this regard as they all seem to give off this vibe. Maybe it's because of how Guy raised them. She'd end up with Neji.

Neji: same as Lee and Tenten, but more towards Bisexual. As much as he tries to act too cool for Team Guy he really fits in here. He's had odd tension towards Naruto and Tenten. He'd end up with Tenten though cause he really doesn't interact with other people.

Guy: Gay. He just has way too much going on with Kakashi.

Taka

Karin: Straight/Bisexual. She got super obsessed with Sasuke but I don't think she'd stay that way forever. I'm not bolding it tho because it's fully built on vibes and not panels. I could see her get with Suigetsu after both of them mature, but that's only if they do lol

Suigetsu: Bisexual. He has no problems with being close to a man while naked. He also purposely sets Karin off so he might be a bit of a masochist. He gives off bi frat boy vibes. As I said before, I could see him and Karin growing and maturing and becoming a couple, if not then he would be a chronic one night stander.

Jugo: Asexual. He's very quiet, but also a little emotionally repressed (for good reason). At this point there's not enough evidence, but I could see him very happy with someone who would rather watch animals and be in the quiet of nature.

Sand trio

Gaara: GAY! He had it so bad for Naruto. So bad. He has a lot of chemistry with Lee, and if I could choose who he ended up with that would be my choice.

Temari: Straight. She's a textbook femme fatale. Shikamaru better be ready.

Kankuro: Straight/Heteroflexible. He seems pretty straight from all we've seen of him, but he seems the type to just be like 'why not' if asked out by a guy.

Other (for spice)

Itachi: he's hard to place as well but he gives me asexual demi. Hes a very goal oriented person who only pays attention to people via respect.

Orochimaru: Bisexual. They're not the sort to care about gender and are as fluid as they come.

Madara: Gay. Just. Gay.

Buckle up because I have brakenight thoughts, that one ask wasn't enough, and I just wanna rant about them for a little while…if you like Audrey/Till/brakenight/not being annoyed about stuff I would suggest you don’t read the rest of this. (Ok but please read. I spent a long time making this look nice and reasonable and not like a raging chaos gremlin wrote it, so…) @train-pirate did this first and honestly their's is better but im still gonna say my thing now.

By the way, these are all MY OWN OPINIONS, and don’t count against anyone in the fandom! All my criticism is levied against the writers who made these characters this way. Frankly the writing of the fandom is often better than what the writers put out, so there’s that.

I have problems with this ship and they have only gotten more intense the more I think about it, and the more I see gifsets and the more I see the ways the show could have gone, I’m made more and more mad about by the goddamn day! I need to rant about it and then I won’t say anything more about it (at least not like this). But here are three valid/maybe not so valid reasons I don’t like this ship:

It represents how damn LAZY the writers have gotten.

Honestly nothing about this relationship makes sense and it is so egregiously rushed. in 3x01, Audrey and Till really don’t like each other. Audrey is firmly on Wilford’s side, she’s bitchy and backstabby and generally isn’t very nice to anyone around her. Till doesn’t like her in return; she’s constantly sniping and acting like Audrey is an annoyance (which she is!). And yet, contrast that to 3x10 when Till gives up her CHANCE TO NEW EDEN with all her friends and all her supporters for one girl who a few weeks ago she didn’t even like - and disliked enough to conk her over the head with a hammer, even! And this is the crux of it; the relationship is rushed and unbelievable and hastily cobbled together to give Audrey and Till character development which they couldn’t be bothered to take the long way around for.

Audrey needs a redemption and to become nice again - so instead of apologising to those she has hurt, trying to be better, she just gets slapped with a girlfriend so she can become a soft uwu lesbian. Yay, she's good again, because she spent a few days sadly playing guitar and doing therapy with Till! Yuck. 

Till…not sure what they wanted for her but she is the epitome of wasted potential, holy shit. Again I think they just wanted to tie her down a little more, so they give her a relationship that a) she never really gave an indication of wanting and b) with someone she does not deserve to be saddled with. LIKE HELLO? Also she got turned into a soft uwu lesbian as well, like yeah she was a bit naive and innocent before but where the fuck has her character gone?

Fucking…I just…don’t like the soft uwu lesbian trope.

I don’t know why but that trope drives me up the damn wall, and I don’t even have a good reason why. It just icks me out, which is ironic considering that was pretty much all I wrote for a solid six months, if not a year. Idk like…it just seems antithetical to their characters. But that’s just me. Too many puppies and kittens and shit, lol. I don’t like happy stuff (jk)

Way too much! Way too fast!

WHY??? They’ve known each other for six months, sure, but why are they all getting cuddly and deep about their feelings so soon? Honestly they should have made Brakenight be a thing in the pirate train arc, that would have made more sense. Also it just feels like a waste of screentime - so we don’t get Asha but we get this? Sorry, dislike it!

I don't exactly want either of these characters to be alone. That's not a good feeling for any character! (as any Ruth-lover can attest) however I want the characters to be in considered, realistic relationships that seem more respectful to their arcs and journeys and not just shoved together because they happen to be the Only Gays in the Village Death Train. Honestly this is weird because I do actually care about these characters; I wouldn't be so mad if I didn't care about them this much, I just wanted so so much for them and it kills me that they've become the new casualties of lazy and unconsidered writing.

Casita’s Future - What would I see for Encanto franchise

So... I’ve watched “Encanto” film yesterday, and I think it’s a really good, beautiful and optimistic film. The characters are very unique, songs are so gorgeous (because they are written by Lin-Manuel Miranda ^^), and the world of “Encanto” is so creative (for example the whole main idea for the magical family, their rooms and powers). So that’s one of the reasons, why I like to see more of the Madrigal family and their world, explore more of the secrets, and what’s the most important - see more of “Encanto” story and world, because I think story of this film have so much potential, to became succesful franchise (Maybe even as succesful as “Frozen”?)

But, what would I like to see in the future “Encanto” series and films (if they will be ever created)? That’s my wishlist of things, that in my opinion are really worth showing by Disney in the “Encanto” possible franchise :

- Family Reunion and life in New Casita - In the end of “Encanto” film, the Madrigal family finally broke the boundaries and walls between them, and finally became the real family again, thanks to the courageous Mirabel and her love to Casita and her family. But in my opinion, the only one minute of seeing the happy family, it’s too small screentime for that ending, because I was still wondering : How they will start their new lives? Did the years of emotional abuse by abuela Alma will be forgotten by everyone, who was hurted by her? How would look like the life with Bruno, and will be he “fish out of water” after all these years of being lonely? How will family Madrigal spent the special days, like Christmas or birthdays? Will Mirabel have her own life as an adult, or will she stay with her family? (In the Polish version of dubbing, abuela Alma said “Mirabel is finally ready to start her own life”, and this line really confused me) So that’s why I would like to see new life of the Madrigals - how they unite, how they live in the new house and how after the years of abuela’s influence, they again really love each other.

- Isabela’s possible true love interest + Dolores and Mariano’s love - So, everyone who watched the “Encanto” film, knows that Isabela was forced to be in an arranged marriage with Mariano Guzman, and have many kids, who could continue the magical Madrigal family line. But, later in the film, we discovered that she really doesn’t to be wife of Mariano, and at the end of the film Mariano fell in love with Madrigal sisters cousin - Dolores. But what will happen with Isabela - will be finally happy, or will she stay single together? Well, I completely agree with the Tumblr community, that Isabela could be a lesbian (In the film, we have some metaphors and hints suggesting that). I really loved Isabela as a character, and I think she really deserve a girlfriend, who will truly love her and accept her as she is. And of course, I would like to see Doriano (Dolores x Mariano) love and enangement, this time for real.

- Bruno’s life with his family - In the end of the film, we’ve seen Bruno returning to his family, and again living with them, after the years of lonelieness. But I think Bruno would not easily be used to his new life and be not very sociable. I really love Bruno as a character, and I really want him to be happy. And by the way, it could be nice to see how he struggles with being just like his family and trying to be very sociable, of course with the help of Mirabel and the Madrigals.

- Older Antonio - In my opinion, Antonio is so underrated character - despite he is very cute and helpful, we see him for the only few minutes in the film, and he is still a child, so he doesn’t have complicated personality (for example, like Mirabel). So in the future installments of “Encanto” franchise, i would really love to see Antonio growing up, and starting be anxious about his gift, and questioning : it will be helpful? I think showing Antonio as older child/teenager, would be so amazing and beautiful, and finally give Antonio his own character arc and development.

- Mirabel’s Future - And of course, we can’t forget about our main character, right? ^^ So, I would like to see Mirabel as an adult, for example when she wants to explore the world behind the Encanto village, and have a serious problem - will she make her dreams come true, or will she stay true to her family? I think that would be so amazing sequel plot for Mirabel, and give her more of the missions in her life, and new adventures that she really deserve ;)

So, that’s my wishlist for the possible “Encanto” franchise. I really hope that this film will be very succesful, because I think that amazing film really deserves a sequel, series, or at least short film ^^

And, finally, since she's exactly the right age for it, and because she absolutely did not deserve what happened to her in the wake of the originala, may I suggest for Dani:ot familiar, is a movie from 1980 in which a disillusioned artist meets a muse, "Kira" (implied to be Terpsechore), who leads him to a club owner from the 1940s, and they open a roller disco together. The muse similarly inspired the elderly club owner way back in the day, holding romances with both but truly falling in love with the younger one. The plot is a hot mess and the movie actually inspired the Razzie Awards and killed Olivia Newton-John's career, but it's got a cult following these days and it's. Actually not bad? Like if you accept that it was released about five years after its time and that it's absolutely a fever dream of camp and acid, it's a very good time. Also, you get to see Gene Kelly killing it in roller skates and a tuxedo, and tell me that isn't worth it. I feel like I should add that if you're not familiar with dancing on roller skates, it's fucking hard, and the "simple" choreography here is actually pretty technically difficult. Walking in place in skates is a whole different experience.

And yes, yes, this is the movie with that one inexplicable animated scene, I don't know what the fuck it's doing there either, but Don Bluth used the money from this scene to fund The Secret of NIMH which means that without it we also wouldn't have All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Land Before Time, An American Tail, or Anastasia, so shut the fuck up and show it some respect.

So anyway. Zeo suggested a remake should go the Good Omens route, and do a short miniseries rather than a movie, with which I wholeheartedly agree, and that a timeline update would put Danny (the elderly club owner) in the 1980s, which has some intriguing possibilities. It was a relatively short conversation, but it caught my imagination, so I kept on thinking about it and if you've ever seen the movie, I just. I love the idea of updating it from Danny-the-big-band-club-owner to Dani-the-lesbian-queer-disco-owner (in which the themes of intertwined joy and loss come not from WWII but living through the AIDS crisis), and since Sonny's job literally no longer exists in 2022, just making him a generic industrial painter (which is the job 1980!Sonny was trying to do before he went back to Simpson's), and quitting to try to get a start as an EDM musician but finding that Bandcamp doesn't pay the bills.

Actually spend some time with Dani in the 1980s. Give the other muses some screentime not in the weird way the musical did, but like. Maybe the musician who plays during the finale is seen with one of the muses and it's implied they were inspired and guided to this project. The murals in the clubs both old and new are painted by a painter and one of the muses. That kind of thing. Expand the love story from "boy meets girl and it's all very formulaic" to something where we actually see Kira struggling with the concept of goddess versus humanity and Sonny dealing with the realization that Something Isn't Right About Kira. Give us actual time in Olympus with Zeus and Hera having actual legitimate concerns about what's happening, instead of just "oh well, there are rules, which we are then going to break because plot I guess."

And let's be clear. I do not want whatever the fuck the musical did with "let's make fun of the movie because it was SO BAD LOL." I want to see them play the story straight. Lean into the camp, make it silly and poignant and heartfelt, basically tell the story from 1980 but updated and more coherent.

Things I want specifically as nods to the original:

--EDM remixes of the ELO songs. I refuse a world where "The Fall" isn't in Xanadu. And let's be real, "Strange Magic" would be a great new addition to the lineup, and if the timeline is going from 1945/1980 to 1985/2022, having ELO in the 1980s scenes would make perfect sense. The EDM remixes can take the place of "Dancin'."

--Instead of the superfluous animated scene, replace "Suddenly" (originally set in a practical effects studio) with a plot-relevant animated scene where Kira asks Sonny if she can hear his music, asks if he's ever thought of doing a music video, and the animation we see is what that would look like. Don Bluth restarted a new independent hand-drawn animation studio in 2020, so 100% we are getting him to animate this sequence, too.

--There will still be roller-skates. I don't care how the fuck they're explained, there will be roller-skates. And one pair of them will be gold. I also don't care how or why. I was in love with those gold skates as a kid.

--Gene Kelly's filmography should be in a background shot somewhere. I don't care how. Maybe someone's a film buff with a DVD collection. Doesn't matter. It needs to be in there.

--Instead of the "All Over The World" scene where they wreck the department store, they should wreck Dani's attic (because vintage is in, y'know), but all of the outfits from the 1980 sequence should be in there. The line "it's like 1945 all over again/it is 1945 all over again" is updated to "1985," but it's said over the frilly turquoise dress 1980!Kira wore in that scene, and as it's said Dani hands the dress to remake!modern!Kira and says "you should take it. It'd suit you." This would be particularly great if we see remake!Kira in it in 1985; since the implication in the 1980 scene is that Danny has finally recognized and accepted that yes, somehow, this is his Kira from 1945, it'd be a way of acknowledging that Dani has realized the same.

There is something so... enchanting and exciting about writing your first big fic for a fandom? When you start to come to terms with the fact that you can now fix it. After you consumed all the canon and saw what you liked and disliked, you are now in charge, you can dismiss anything that displeases you and elaborate on all the things that you enjoyed.

That feeling kind of lessens or goes away if you’ve been in a fandom for years, because you get used to it. You have your go-to headcanons and fixes that you use so often that sometimes, you forget that they aren’t actually canon.

But the first time? The very first time you tackle it and get to figure out what works out? Oh, that’s such a blissful and amazing feeling!

Usually, as an author, I feel like a lil gremlin rummaging through garbage piles of canon for shiny treasure and bringing it to my cave of fanon to build something with it. But this always felt more like it would if I were to break into a fancy mansion and no, I shouldn’t do that, the things look good where they are, I shouldn’t touch them.

I’ve always been mildly intimidated by BtVS, I think. Because it’s my favorite show. I love it. I hated that Spike died and they didn’t get to be together by the end. But otherwise, this has set a very high standard, for me. It’s always been kind of... untouchable for me. Aside from Spike’s death, it never really felt to me like it needed fixing. Just rewatching the show made me happy and it, especially season 7, hit so many of the right spots and tropes for me that, quite frankly, it was more rewarding to simply enjoy canon than to create fanon.

But YOU KNOW WHAT. I read the comics. I forced myself through season 8 and it’s one of the stinkiest garbage piles I’ve ever rummaged through. This shit actually needs fixing. Even if I loved seasons 9 to 11, loved them a whole lot, seasons 8 and urgh 12 still factually exist. And for the first time, BtVS started feeling... touchable. Started feeling like it needs to be fixed. Like I had something to genuinely contribute, something to create for myself.

And hey, while I’m on that, there are also many little things that I wished the show had elaborated on, many dynamics that I personally cherish that didn’t get the screentime I wish they did.

I always loved the very few moments we got between Spike and Willow. And now I get to actually let them become friends. Proper friends.

I get to force Giles into confronting his own short-comings. Like abandoning Buffy when she needed him the most. Instead of... whatever the comics did there with him.

The way the comics introduced an adorable, nerdy, black Slayer as a love interest for Xander and then immediately killed her within the first arc? I get to undo that. I can just keep her alive and make her more than just the woman who got fridged for Xander’s man pain.

And not just her! Cordelia didn’t need to die. Fred didn’t need to die. Let’s get those women out of the fridge so there’s room for Spike’s blood-bags in there!

Still seething over just how utterly queer-written Buffy was, to the point of the comics actually having her hook up with a lesbian, repeatedly, but #NoHomo it? WELL it is time for Miss Summers to confront her bisexuality and come out of the closet! To actually, genuinely think about her sexuality, her past feelings and desires that where obvious to others (*cough* us viewers *cough*) but were never made explicit in the text. And I get to have Willow be a supportive and helpful friend, not like the comics that had the out and proud lesbian character who came into herself in college mock the idea of a late-coming out and treat Buffy’s options as either straight or gay, instead of encouraging some self-reflection and acknowledging the existence of... more sexualities than hetero and homo.

And actually while we’re at it, let my boy Spike also come out because he deserves more than two throwaway comments regarding the fact that he hooked up with Angel before, just because male queerness seemed to scare Joss, or whatever.

Let Spike and Buffy actually... talk. Talk about what happened. About their feelings. Yes, I love the comics, love the Spuffy that seasons 9 through 11 gave us, but the way they just... waited actual years before ever talking about that thing between them? Spike freaking died and Buffy confessed her love and they were both like “naaah let’s not talk about that” for years. That was ridiculous.

I have never seen a single Karate Kid movie in my entire life. When I was a kid, it looked kinda dumb so I never got into it XD But then I saw my roommate watching Cobra Kai on Youtube Red one day (he has every streaming service known to man) and I was hooked. And...here I am!

Underrated character:

SAMANTHA LARUSSO!!! The amount of hate my girl gets for acting like a normal teenager and fucking up occasionally JUST like the rest of the cast makes me want to start punching things. She cares SO MUCH about her friends!!! And she loves the shit out of Miguel!!! She hasn’t always been the best friend but you know what??? Neither has Hawk, and we still forgave his ass!!! Also LET HER BE FEMININE but also kick utter ass, my god!!! Femininity should not be synonymous with being weak, y’all! ALSO DEMETRI, like yes, he likes to complain and occasionally run his mouth, but guess what else he likes to do??? Never give up on the love of his life his best friend Eli Moskowitz and refuse to lose faith in him no matter how much of a little shit he’s become, and I for one think that’s very badass of him. Also the way he takes care of Eli pre-Cobra Kai in his own snarky bastard way makes me absolutely Weak and needs more appreciation. Like the dude has charisma and COULD have probably made other friends and left Eli behind if he wanted, but did he??? No, he wants the weepy loser with the lip scar in the polo shirts and dorky sweaters and will protect him as much as his wimpy ass is able!!!

Underrated ship (don’t say therapy, lol):  

Among the adults, Daniel/Amanda!!! Like maybe I just don’t watch that much tv, but it seems kinda rare to me to see a happily married hetero couple, and it’s just nice to see a married couple who genuinely love each other and where there’s not like...lingering resentment or some shit. I feel like this ship gets overshadowed by Lawrusso a lot (which like--okay, fair!!! Daniel and Johnny do have a ridiculous amount of chemistry, and the gay undertones are undeniable, so I get it), and it makes me kinda sad. I do love Lawrusso, but I don’t like when Amanda has to get her heart broke for it to happen, you feel? Among the kids, honestly YasMoon. Like I really love the idea of Yasmine trying to better herself because of Moon’s influence on her and because Moon like...inspires her to be a better person, I guess? With their pretty strong friendship, it just makes more sense to me for Yasmine to get a redemption arc through Moon than through Demetri. ALSO girls DO often pull the whole “mean girl” shtick to cover up being closeted lesbians, and Moon IS canonically bi, so it could work!!! I just think this one could be a really interesting Friends to Lovers take, and could make a really nice coming-out arc for Yas. And MoonPiper too, honestly!!! Like they only got 5 seconds of screentime so I understand WHY it’s underrated, but I still love what we DID get and loved that there was a canon gay ship (even if only for 1 scene lmao). I’m really excited to potentially see more of them in Season 4!!! Please, I’m begging!!!

Sweep the Leg because it will always be deeply hilarious to me how Demetri took note of the first move Eli ever used on him and spent presumably weeks perfecting it OUT OF SPITE just to get him back with it at the soccer game MONTHS later. Just goes to show how OBSESSED Demetri is with Eli and their little karate rivalry which is just NOT straight, I’m sorry

Which of Daniel’s dumb little outfits is your favorite?

There’s something so funny about this pretentious little fuck walking around in fancy suits once he becomes a #SuccessfulBusinessman, and still occasionally trying to do karate in a full-ass suit (take THAT, Tom Cole’s boba!!!) I’m also a big fan of how he looks in his gi with his little headband. Still killing that look as a 40-50-something!!!

You know what would be fucking funny as hell would be an It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia crossover. Allow me to elaborate: ~The Gang goes to LA on vacation during the height of the Karate Dojo Wars. They literally can get barely anything done without all these goddamn karate-fighting teenagers getting in the way. ~They are all very annoyed by this. Even the most obscure of tourist attractions is eventually intercepted by karate fights. ~Mac tries to join Cobra Kai because he sees all this karate fighting on, and wants to unquestionably prove both his badassery and masculinity. Both Johnny and Kreese are like “Wtf are you doing here? Aren’t you like 30?” ~Mac gets a planet-sized crush on Johnny after all of 5 minutes and endlessly gushes to the gang about him. The gang mercilessly roast him about this and about how much of a pathetic loser with his life together in no way whatsoever Johnny sounds like. They proceed to have exactly 0 self awareness about this. ~The Waitress is in town visiting family or something, and Charlie is stalking her, as per usual. However, every time he’s about to go up and talk to her, a pack of battling Miyagi-Dos and Cobra Kais throwing punches and kicks everywhere blocks his path. One times, Mac is among one of these packs and Charlie is like “???? He didn’t get kicked out of that teen karate dojo yet???” ~Seeing how much the Kids These Days seem to like fighting, Charlie drops by a local high school to try and sell Fight Milk to the kids doing karate. Only Kyler and Brucks buy into it, and subsequently get the entire West Valley High wrestling team sick. Charlie is inevitably arrested, as Counselor Blatt thinks he’s selling the kids drugs. ~Dennis makes a plan to have sex with every hot chick he can in Los Angeles. He meets Ali on a dating app post-divorce, and inevitably tries to bang her. It doesn’t work. ~Frank crashes the rental car, and inevitably the gang ends up at one of Daniel’s dealerships. Dee quickly takes a liking to Daniel and is like “Watch, assholes--Imma homewreck this guy’s marriage.” She starts frequenting the dealerships to attempt to flirt with Daniel, until one day she walks in on him having sex with Johnny in a back room and she’s like “Is that the guy from Mac’s goddamn dojo?!?!” ~Dennis, of course, tries to sleep with Amanda. Amanda is not having it, and rebukes him in the most snarky, Amanda-esque way possible. Dennis is just like “Oh not AGAIN--the women in this goddamn diva city have too high of standards!” ~Later on, the gang is at the beach and Dennis spots the blonde lady he went out on an ill-fate date with, and decides to give it another shot--that is, until he sees her go up and kiss another woman and he’s like “IS THAT THE LADY FROM THE CAR DEALERSHIP??? STUPID-KARATE-KICK-COMMERCIAL’S WIFE?!? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.” ~Dee complains to Dennis about her lack of luck getting laid, and Dennis is just like “Oh come ON, is everyone in Los Angeles gay???” Smash cut to Hawk and Demetri having sex, Moon and Piper making out, Bert and Nate holding hands, Chris and Mitch doing oral, and Amanda, Ali, and Carmen having a threesome. ~Frank tries to scam Kreese into buying cheaply-made karate equipment for his dojo. The gang ends up having to leave LA because Kreese is quite literally plotting all of their murders.

i agree w your eddie post so much!! like hen and chim are really getting to shine this season and ngl it’s so deserved. for example hens storyline rn with nia breaks me because my grandparents used to foster kids and i know how important that topic is for so many people!!! and the fact that is a woc lesbian couple fostering makes it even more important. we had a lot of focus on eddie in the past and it really is very telling of the fandom that they’ll gloss over those storylines in order to complain that eddie is getting enough screentime. him not being in the episodes as much isn’t even something i would have noticed if it weren’t for the amount people complain about it. obvs you can have a favourite and be sad when that fav isn’t featured as much but being aware of why that character isn’t getting as much screentime is important. ryan fucked up majorly last summer and in most other fandoms people would’ve been calling for him to be fired so the show runners probably put him more in the background (plus he just had a kid i’m sure he didn’t want to be crazy busy)

I have to admit, I was a little nervous posting the Eddie ask even though I tried to be fair bc I know people can be protective but I did think it was an important counter argument when all I see is people asking where Eddie was. So thank you for the nice words! Also would like to reiterate here that it was not meant to be an Eddie bashing post at all - I really do love him.

I don’t really think I’m qualified to say anything more than I already did about Ryan’s actions, bc I am both genetically and culturally, White with a capital W. I will say though that it seems to have completely slipped the minds of the entire fandom, and sometimes it does for me, simply bc there didn’t seem to be any consequences, so I wanted to bring it up as a possible (and imo fair) reason for the drop in Eddie time.

I get that people want more Eddie - but to me, it’s more important that they took the time to do the story with Nia and fostering right. And imo (which is not at all informed or experienced), they have been doing it right. But I also think they needed all of the time they’ve been giving to the story to do it justice. Cutting it shorter than it was to do some other story would have lessened the emotional impact, and I think not fully explained every side of that story. So I find it incredibly hard to begrudge Hen for getting that time and focus (I just straight up liked it! Let alone got mad she got the time), and I find it …interesting when other people do. Because that’s what they’re saying, when they say the screen time isn’t good this season, they’re saying Hen deserves less time. (If you want to talk about Buck I’m gonna answer that in the next ask). Same thing with Chim - they made such a point of how his dad screwed him up in the past that it would have felt less credible if they’d focused any less than they did on that.

And idk, if you watched that whole episode of Josh and Sue finding each other and all you could think was “where’s Eddie?”, then I’m a littlllleeeee concerned for your emotional state. 😂 (I’m joking a little but also a little not - you watched Bryan Safi do all that and weren’t the tiniest bit drawn in?? Okay I guess, we’re definitely different types of people though).

I do sort of feel like there are three separate categories for our main 7 - Bobby/Athena/Buck, Hen/Chim, and Eddie/Maddie, just when you look at the trends in average time. So I find it very interesting that Hen and Chim are together the season’s focus, and it makes me feel (and hope) that Maddie and Eddie are next. There are multiple VALID reasons why Eddie hasn’t been getting as much time, and people just don’t seem that willing to acknowledge that bc it means reflecting on themselves. But I think those reasons won’t be true forever! So I wish people would just be patient.

So even if other people don’t seem to, I really love every character on this show and it makes me sad when all I see are complaints about Eddie rather than appreciation for the way Hen or Chim’s stories have been handled.
