[1] – Whether your character has something unique to say after a certain chapter (e.g; Alear being revealed as the Fell Dragon in chapter 20, or their reaction to the state of Florra Port after chapter 17 should they be from Firene especially)

[2] – This also leaves room for any extra dialogue your character might have in response to a specific character dying in that battle during Classic Mode (e.g Say if Pandreo and or Bunet both die; Fogado would have 3 different dialogues for all 3 possibilities)

[3] – It’s worth noting that even if a character wasn’t recruited early into the story, they still have different dialogues you can see as you go back and revisit that place in a skirmish (e.g Hortensia has dialogue in regards to chapters way back in Firene and even Brodia where you first fight her)

[4] – Depending how tied to the story your character is, they could also have unique dialogue in the Somniel if Alear speaks with them between chapters (e.g; How Diamant and Alcryst will make note to head out as soon as possible after King Morion’s kidnapping)

[5] – Something I found out late is that sometimes the two characters you invite to dinner can actually talk directly to each other about the meal, I don’t really know what determines it but if you wanted to have a Oc/Canon dinner date dialogue with Alear third wheeling then by all means.

[6] - Something else I didn’t know was that during every wake up event there’s also a unique dialogue every character can have for every event if you’re impatient and hit a button to wake up early; usually includes them being like “Oh! You’re already awake! Okay I’ll go away then lol”

@czigonas wanted to see me answer those artist questions and I did them all so it’ll be under the cut

1. Art programs you have but don’t use?

As of rn I cannot draw on my laptop/tablet so technically paint tool SAI and photoshop(idk what version). But I guess I hadn’t used photoshop for /years/ back before my drawing hiatus. Sorry but SAI is so much nicer to look at and to use, for me personally.

2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left,right, or forward?

I flip flop my canvas a ton to a) look at it for wonkiness and b) to get specific lines in a direction that feels good, but the actual act of drawing I typically like to have them looking left cause most the the lines flow from top right to bottom left which is nicer to do since I use my right hand to draw even tho I am ambidextrous.

3. What ideas come from when you were little?

This question confuses me on what it’s actually asking soooo? When I was like 12 I had to write a story for school so I did a story about a plane crash in which the survivor came face to face to a rat/bat/cat/dog creature thing? I’ve always wanted to redraw the creature, idk if I have the original drawing I did and I don’t feel up to digging to see if I kept it during all my moves.

4. Fave character/subject that’s a bitch to draw?

My favorite animal color patterns aka brindle, merle ,roan, spots/stripes. So time consuming. In terms of shape, human faces for sure.

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself?

Before hiatus, probably 90% /shared/. Currently, probably 75% /posted/cause I can’t post the porn to tumblr lmaoooo but I have shared them with like half a dozen friends.

6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously?

I’m sure there’s a ton but if it’s subconsciously then how would I consciously know?🤔 ok serious answer, probably every single 2D animated movie or show I’ve ever seen, and all the various artists I follow. I mean, there’s parts of my style I can pinpoint you to what it’s inspired by.

7. A medium of art you don’t work in but appreciate?

I’ve never /seriously/ tried oil paint, acrylic paint, or pastels but that shit always looks so good. Also watercolor even though i have tried and enjoyed using watercolors but I am far far faaarrr from being proficient in them. Non drawing wise, I fucking love dioramas, especially those that are then filled in(?) with acrylic(?). I watch a lot of those videos on YouTube.

8. What’s an old project idea you’ve lost interest in?

Most of my old animal ocs I had in the same universe in my mind and had a comic planned that I never got around to. I still love and wanna revisit those ocs. But also my dragon age ocs who I’ve SERIOUSLY BEEN CONSIDERING drawing in @soaps-hoe-141 universe 👀

9. What are your file name conventions?

Before hiatus/ on my laptop, subject or character and whatever was happening in the pic. Now using procreate on my iPad? I don’t think I’ve named a single one lol.

10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw?

Nothing, no clothes, nude, nakedness please and thank you. lol but I guess I do sorta enjoy figuring out clothing in general, folds and shit, getting that practice in. Like how it hangs and creases in poses since I’m not used to drawing it.

11. Do you listen to anything while drawing?

I don’t usually listen to /only/ music while drawing, I much prefer having a favorite movie playing in the background and/or a show I enjoy rewatching/am actively watching. I also watch a lot of gamer YouTubers I put on as background noise/short watch breaks that their voice is just soothing to me even if I’m not /watching/.

12. Easiest part of the body to draw?

I’m not sure… maybe boobs/pecs for humanoids. General body shape for animals?

13. A creator you admire but whose work isn’t your thing?

Honestly can’t think of a single one. I mean, plenty of artists do work(or with a medium) that I can’t or don’t want to do/use personally but I read the question of “isn’t your thing” as “subject you don’t enjoy”. If that’s correct, then idk what to tell you. I don’t follow or remember people who majority does things I can’t enjoy on some level.

14. Any fave motifs?

Quite a lot of religious imagery I guess ex. Circles around a persons head. Less serious answer is drawing characters in meme formats lol

15. Where do you draw?

Please don’t tell any physical therapists I live like this… on my back on my couch with my head on the arm rest while holding my iPad propped up on my chest like 8 inches away from my face lmao

16. Something you are good at but don’t really have fun doing?

Idk???? I do shit for my own enjoyment so I’m not sure? Maybe perhaps backgrounds? Like I could do something decent if i wanted to but I’m not into it so I usually just don’t?

17. Do you eat or drink while drawing?

I take breaks… but while actively drawing? I often drink aka let the horny demons out while I enjoy whiskey lol.

18. An estimate of how much art supplies you’ve broken?

Broken broken? Next to fucking none? some charcoal sticks but otherwise…. None… I majority do digital art so really nothing to break there lol

19. Fave inanimate objects to draw?

Idk? I like doing life charcoal drawings? Of whatever, but particularly statues if that counts? I usually have living beings as my subjects.

20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy?

Ok, I hate this question, cause we are all good at different things. Maybe it’s just most of those I follow have different strengths than me???? But I guess if I had to pick, recreating from life(or picture) is a lot easier for me than some others(like making it life like/very accurate).

21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways?

Yooo, anything I’ve reblogged honestly. Love everyone.

22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing?

Absolutely none, again don’t let the pros know cause damn. But I will do stretches or take breaks as needed.

23. Do you use different layer modes?

Absolutely. Mostly for lighting and shading but yes, if I’m doing digital imma take advantage of it.

24. Do your references include stock images?

Yes? I don’t really understand what it’s asking?

25. Something your art has been compared to that you were not inspired by?

Idk? I don’t usually get feedback of that sort.

26. What’s a piece that’s viewed a wildly different interpretation from what you intended?

Again idk? I guess my shit is straight forward?

27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff?

Almost never, again don’t let the pros know lol I do sometimes jump between pieces or start a new sketch before going to something farther along.

28. Any art events you have participated in, like zines?

Nope, wanted to and have tried before but I tend to NOT do something if I feel pressured to do it.

29. Media you love but doesn’t inspire you artistically?

Again I feel like this is a weird question or maybe it’s just my understanding of it but I can feel inspiration from all sort of artist shit even if it’s something I’ll never do(ex making a crochet animal or dioramas). I guess I can feel inspired to create from other creators even if it’s not direct inspiration/subject/medium.

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

Underrated as in no one has seen aside from a few people irl would be my colored pencil pieces I did during afternoon naps when I worked at a daycare a few years ago.

Fanfic Self-Rec Challenge

(yes, I’m calling this a challenge for myself because for a number of reasons, this type of thing is very difficult for me!)

@ziskandra tagged me last week to rec five of my own fics (and @blarrghe, I think your tag was for ‘recent’ fics, which these are mostly not, but I’m tagging you back anyway!). My first reaction was to laugh and say (to no one), “HA! I DON’T EVEN HAVE FIVE FINISHED FICS!” but it turns out I actually do have quite a few that are done or at least done enough to rec, and from more than just Dragon Age (though still mostly DA)!

Here are five of my favorites:

1. The Benefits of Sleeping with a Witch (Explicit, 2 chapters, 4496 words)

Prompted weird and smutty off-shoot of my Morrigan/Blackwall long fic The Witch & The Warden that didn’t quite fit the tone or story arc, but was really fun to write. Blackwall gives Morrigan some lotus blossoms...Morrigan makes hallucinogenic tea...and turns into a dragon...and takes Blackwall on a fun sexy ride into the sky...(mind the tags!)

2. Generosity & Hubris (Teen-Mature, 6 very short one-shots, 6978 words)

I’m cheating...this is technically a ‘series’ of Merrill/Isabela one-shots on AO3 but they’re all connected, and in chronological order. Mostly from Merrill’s POV which is a very affirming place to write from...lol.

3. Chokedamp and Feelings (Explicit, 5 chapters, 15476 words)

I love this fic. I love these two old men (Stroud/Loghain...Stroghainoff...yes that’s the ship name and since it’s mine I get to name it!). I love all the weird Warden-ey goodness this fic inspired me to elaborate on in the most awkwardly horny ways. I love all the other fics and one-shots this one has inspired...I just love this cast so much.

4. Old Wound (Mature, one-shot, 1529 words)

Castlevania’s immortal wives, Striga and Morana, reflecting on their first sexy meet-horror...I love them, and their happily ever after. Writing them also sends me down lots of fun cultural-historical rabbit holes.

5. New Names (General, one-shot, 456 words)

The only Our Flag Means Death fic that I’ve dared to post on AO3...it’s very silly. Ed and Stede, reunited and having somehow worked through all their issues...revisit their plan to runaway together.

Keeping the theme of FIVE (5), I’ll tag along to @funkypoacher, @pinkfadespirit, @gothkimmyschmidt, @sarsaparillia, and @nirikeehan if any of you all wanna do it!

How the hell did I miss the fact that you have an AO3 account???? Care sharing your username or a link? (also yes yes yes tell us more about dem delicious AUs)

Yeah I do have an ao3! I’m not really a fanfic writer tho so there’s only a couple fandom things on there, one of which is the unfinished Dragon Age AU that I wrote in like 2017 and the other is a Cyberpunk 2077 one shot for fem!V and Panam.

If you haven’t seen it, I am actually posting the edited/revised version of Jayde x Nadya’s story on there! First five chapters are up if you wanna read it. I’ll be updating it as regularly as I can!

As for the AUs, I’ll talk a little more about them under the cut!

The only AU I've actually written for is the DA one! Also, it's the first bit of writing I actually did for Jayde x Nadya. I sorta used the fic as a tool to jumpstart my motivation for their canon story and it totally worked. I wouldn't have this blog if it weren't for that fic. But it is objectively bad/cringey cause that's literally the first time I wrote something in years. I still keep it up though cause it's cool to see how much I've improved.

Anyway idk how familiar you are with the games, but Jayde is Hawke from Dragon Age 2 and Nadya is the Inquisitor from Dragon Age: Inquisition. I just loved playing them in the games so much and it actually fit them really well. But then I was frustrated that the Inquisitor couldn't romance Hawke when they made an appearance in the game. thus the fic was born.

I was drawn to it cause of the angst potential too. Particularly in the Trespasser DLC cause the Mark on the Inquisitor's hand starts growing and is slowly killing them until they ultimately lose most of their arm. I never got far enough to write that in the au, but the Mark was Jayde's biggest fear for that very reason and she would have done anything to spare Nadya that pain. So she has it out for Solas BIG time lmao. Maybe I'll revisit the au when DA 4 comes out!

My current au obsession is The Quarry! I didn't expect to have so much fun with that game, but I did and SPOILERS since it's werewolves at a foresty summer camp lodge, my brain immediately went to Jayde and Nadya. Nadya canonically was a summer camp counselor too and I really ran with the idea. I haven't written anything yet, but it might be a fun exercise when I need a break from working on the main story.

The thing about the werewolves in The Quarry is that they're really terrifying and dangerous because they have no control of themselves whatsoever. Also they look gnarly af. Jayde is definitely getting bit saving Nadya and I am 100% adding a scene in there where monster Jayde is gonna go in for the kill, but Nadya calls out her name and makes the werewolf hesitate for just a second. Nothing like that happened in the game, but if Josh from Until Dawn can get through to W*ndigo Hannah then I can have this lol

Attention Everyone! Hello! Yes, Hi! Some Major Changes Coming To This Blog! This is a long post- so- Hold onto your hats please— but Please Read Everything—

First things first, thank you again for a mighty three years of chaos. And thank you for holding out with me! But there are changes a blazing so here’s a post to sum things up before I continue!

1. Hello again! First things first again, the Great Blog Purge will still be happening. I will be deleting every post on this blog to start absolutely fresh. And I will be deleting the two additional ask blogs I run because they’re basically dead- Rip- Might even do some clean up on my personal but we’ll see.

2. Unfortunately, the comic I’ve been planning, ‘Whatever Happened To Gabriel Caper’, is ultimately cancelled due to really, lost of interest and lack of— proper planning— I am not nearly as experienced at comic making as I am right now- and the story of Gabriel can easily be better explained within a neatly illustrated post or two. Once I get better practice and see this blog going in a direction I’m happy with, maybe I’ll revisit it. But who knows and thank you.

3. BUT!!! But. With a great purge comes great opportunities!! This place will hopefully be much more organized and will open the gates towards redesigns that I’ve been sketching for a while now that I will showcase right now and explain some things to go along with them so ya’ll know what to expect! So Drum Roll Please!!!!

First up Is Devil Feuit Changes for Tracey and Camilla! I’m not gonna do copies for them anymore- I really needed to ✨Expand✨ and ✨Rework✨ so I did hehe.

Tracey!! No longer has a copy of the Flare Flare Fruit. Instead! She’s swapping out entirely for a Lizard Lizard Fruit - Model: Komodo Dragon. Her half beast and beast forms are still a work in progress. But nonetheless, she’s still the navigating cook you know and love, just...a little more scaly. Tracey will also be one of two gals who will be aged up a couple of years ahead of where they are now.

Camilla!!! No longer has a copy of the Chill Chill Fruit. Instead, she’s staying true to the Logia type and gaining the abilities of the Cloud Cloud Fruit. No, this is not at all like Smoker’s fruit- she will hold you to this with a passion- her hair is fluffy, it makes her float! She can create different storm clouds and clouds in general depending on the climate! And yes, before anyone asks, she can make clouds that people can stand on. Thank you.

Now Rebecca’s fully embracing her fishman side! It was hardly explored before, but now I wanna explore it more! She’s BIG! She’s MEAN! She’s FEISTY! She....HAS A LOT OF HANDS!!! Which gives way to her having a mean Left Left Left Hook and new swordsman techniques to explore! Rebecca is the second one of the two gals that will be aged up a bit from where they are now!

And of course, Ms. Gabriel, the original forerunner of the blog! A critical injury has shaken her entire world up. But with being dismissed from her duties on a medical discharge, the world has opened up to her! What will she do? Where will she go? Who will she meet? Whatever will happen to her? We will all find out together!

I’ve had this sitting in my ask forever because I play too many videmo gamez lek rEAL GAYMER1!!!111 I think I answered a question like this a while back because I do remember talking about Harvest Moon lmfao BUT also idk what you like to play but I love 2 talk video games

(mostly) PC RPG GAMES LIKE DA/ME BUT NOT REALLY BUT MAYBE???:

The early Bioware games are of similar style too: Baldur’s Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire ..but they are also...very old

The Witcher is good, but I don’t need to tell you that lol. Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines I played a lot of when I was younger and since the super amazing sequel is coming out it might be fun to revisit? Fallout (New Vegas is the best one but I honestly didn’t think 4 was that bad either? ). Pillars of Eternity. Divinity Original Sin (1 & 2).Tyranny. Any 1 of the Elder Scrolls games I feel like I should just mention that. Dragon’s Dogma. I was going to list more but idk what you’re into. Diablo? Torchlight? Monster Hunter? Borderlands? Do you only like action-RPGs? I need deets

And now this is just a list of games I like that have nothing to do with DA or ME but it got very long so it’s under the cut

I’m going to try and avoid the more popular answers (although some of these games are still very popular lol) just because like...I’m sure we’ve all played 1 pokemans and no it’s fun

I’m a ho for a lot of the assassin creed games (Black Flag is my favorite but Odyssey is the one I’ve played the most of)

Monster Hunter World is literally what I’m playing as I type this. very therapeutic weirdly

Into The Breach (if you’ve ever played Advance Wars iit’s like that also...I recommend Advance Wars)

Pocket Card Jockey (it’s a 3DS game i’ve spent HOURS on it’s so good I can’t even tell you)

Most of the games published by Chucklefish are also very good: Stardew Valley, Starbound, War Groove (which i JUST bought...have not played it yet but I’m excited)

The Witness is a puzzle game but it is very calming and I love it thanks

I have ALWAYS been a huge fan of the Persona games (and the SMT games but mainly the Persona ones.) if you like JRPGs then!!!!!

Mirror’s Edge gave me motion sickness the first time (I also think I just had food poisoning then) but I played all of it and i love anyway/ it’s a first person action platforming game? hold on. first-person action-adventure platform video game -- thats what wikipedia says

Celeste is a masocore game (like Cuphead and Super Meat Boy) but more enjoyable and just...very good idk I don’t want these descriptions to get too long

Return of the Obra Dinn I beat in one night which is not me saying it’s short or anything it was just THAT good (although I think it is on the short side but IT WAS VERY GOOD ANYWAY) it reminded me of monkey island which i also super love

Minit : haven’t got around to playing this so really it shouldn’t be on this list but DON’T LOOK AT ME - a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time.

(1/?) hii, 🐧 anon here, back on track with very long ask to send you cause i miss you 🥺💓. i also danced to twice’s signal with my class but thinking about it, i must also look like a fish flopping around kekskswk. i sometimes felt insecure bc of being tall for a young age (am i young? idk) and only some of my friends, not always tho, it is iust like a joke but my family does. my family is also very tall, my dad is 190cm and my brother is like 2 meters (?), my mom isn’t tall, she is short - 🐧

(2/?) she is only 159cm and my baby sister is also tall, she is 2 years old but she is taller than most kids at her age and taller some of the kids older than her 😅. i never went to a concert before but if i do, being tall is definitely a benefit for me loll! i literally try to learn dances, i just watch the mv many times and copy it (only the chorus) i’m trying to learn blackpink’s how you like that, hope i can 😚. i usually visit my cousins when i was small, during summer mostly - 🐧

(3/?) hà nội is beautiful, i also love visiting it, and hội an too! my mon loves hội an, because there are many types of snacks there and it is like a paradise for me and my mom 🥰❤️. your trip to vietnam sounds amazing 🤩, it seems you have alot of fun there! to me, there isn’t much to see in sài gòn (since in sài gòn, mostly are malls) idk if you knew are not Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh and Sài Gòn are one! just the name changed, Sài Gòn is the old name of Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh - 🐧

(4/?) i never went to Ngọc Châu Garden i think, this is actually my first time hearing this sksksk, i am embarrassed for living in Vietnam for my whole life and not knowing the restaurant 😅. I also thought my city is gorgeous too! This is my personal opinion but i think that, Hồ Chí Minh is like a modern city while Hà Nội is more ancient. omg same! my mom would get upset if we didn’t suggest anything to eat but then she cooked it and we didn’t like it, she would get upset - 🐧

(5/6and tbh, idk if i am responsible or not? cause i do sometimes but mostly not, i just do it cause i want to help out a bit, even though i helped a lot, i still get shout for being lazy 😞 but i do agree tho, like between lazy and responsible? i am not sure if i am close to my brother or not, even if he come back home, he doesn’t help me out that much, it is just like without him 😔, but i am used to that so i couldn’t complain abt anything, he helped with the dishes, but not much 😢 - 🐧

i love hà nội and hội an so much! i want to revisit them both 💕 omg yeah they had yummy food there!! i also bought one of my favorite bags there, it’s like a circular rattan bag? i love it so much. do you go to hội an with your mom a lot? it was soooo much fun!!! i absolutely loved all the different places we were able to visit and all the things i got to experience! 💛 oh yes, i heard people use both names interchangeably for the city! Sài Gòn is such a pretty name, and i want to call my cat that if i ever adopt one :’)

and omg no, you shouldn’t be embarrassed! i don’t even know all the restaurants in the city i live in LOL also, since we were tourists, we had chosen places to eat that were recommended by other tourists on yelp and such, and we didn’t really know the good food places that locals would go to 😅 but the food was amazing, and i loved it! 🌸 ooo yes, that’s what i thought when i visited both cities! i really like the more ancient style since the US is all modern, so i especially loved hà nội and yeah, like you said, Hồ Chí Minh has a lot of malls, and i’m not super interested in shopping akjhdfds and LOL yes exactly!!! i see that all moms are the same :’)
