I don't commission other people to make art for me often (let alone fanart) but if I do, I always tend to try to find an artist with a style similar to the fandom of the request that I want done. So it feels all the more canon and/or real to me.

Full Time Angel is a Danganronpa fan artist who does just as nice RainCode work. I decided that for my birthday I had to get a commission from them. (well actually I asked for 2) I failed to get a commission slot the first round, but I somehow succeeded the second round. (which is why it’s a month late)

I was a little shy at first, but I decided to take the plunge to ask them for this. I needed a good pic of a tired/sick Yuma laying on Yakou's lap for my life to feel complete. You know I live for these two's dynamic, they’re literally my roman empire 💜

And I gotta say, investment well spent! This is such an amazing piece! It came out so wonderful, it may as well be official!! >w< Yakou and Yuma look like they're pulled straight from their sprite art! And the detail on the background is phenomenal! Love the blur effects on the both the plant and the background behind the sofa! I'm so happy with it!! I could say so much more praise about this lovely work, but I’ll stop here.

Bottom Line: I’m in so much love with this! 🥰 💕

Never getting over The Cursed Heart

I cannot believe I returned to Choices after what it felt like ages only to discover The Cursed Heart, fall in love with the story, the lore, the characters and ofc Kieran and then feel so sad bc of the ending?? This story was god tier, what do you mean there’s only 2 books?? This had the potential to be a trilogy. I’m gonna miss the characters so much. I’m not coping. my opinion on anything watcher has long since passed being relevant but my main thoughts are

privatized streaming is always antithetical to any 'leftist' notion of universal, available services and is going to alienate their most devoted fans (international)

that being said, I also think it is one of the only survivable tools that isn't literally playing into youtube's hands, which the watcher boys have aired grievances about before

editors, camera people, directors, etc deserve fair compensation and reasonable timelines.

and from a very brief glance at view analytics, I don't think watcher is quote-unquote profitable. popular and afloat maybe, but it's not what 2018 was (nor do i think it can be), so they were probably forced to switch gears

watcher is ultimately a business. trying to hold them (esp shane) to the same standards we hold other comrades is impossible as they literally have different interests

steven is (historically) a bigger part of artistic direction than people want to believe (a lot of the behind-camera talent that leads to the high-quality aspect, for instance)

and ryan and shane are a bigger part of business than people think, being literally joint CEOs (knowing to play up and into their friendship, cutting/backburnering shows that won't turn profits)

tldr bad business decision made by people who aren't business people. which is good, because business is about extracting value, but also bad, because there's no good move here and they picked a bad one

it's been a bit sense i made that. but i'm pretty sure these where the ones i used :]

-this was used to do most of the coloring and rendering on dream (i love this brush)

-added texture to clouds and maybe the grass

-line work and sharp details

-color blocking on background and color variation

im sure i used some other random brushes, but these are what i used for the majority of it
