this site is so sensitive when i mention tae and jk together. like i even saw a tiktok naming their fav pairings and for everyone it was fine but when it was taekook they had to disclaim it was (pLaToNiC) was that not implied by the rest of your list?? ppl are so scared to mention them at all but if he's with another member its fine. its annoying and ppl are so transparent

i actually don't think tumblr is a primary suspect among the list of platforms where people move weird about taekook,.. but i'm speaking as someone in a little bubble of mutuals who are normal people lol. i also have never ventured onto the hellscape that is the bts stan side of tiktok so i can't speak on that either (besides seeing screenshots of people on there calling normal behaviors from jungkook 'red flags'... oof.) most of the bullshit, in my experience, stems from twitter where, like you said, even a simple mention of them hanging out together can end up with people accusing you of being a 'shipper' or a 'diet solo.'

this is going to be rambly so i'm putting it under a read more for the sake of not clogging people's dashes, but here are some of my thoughts on fandom culture/shipping in general:

oh real quick for for transparency sake, i'll start this off by saying: 1. i don't care about the relationship status of any of the bts members. they're single to me unless they officially and publicly state otherwise without any privacy invading force involved. 2. i have no problem with fans thinking/implying bts members are queer. lgbt fans finding comfort and comradery in their favorite people isn't a bad thing. :)

now for the actual post~

the fan dynamics on twt are so different and if you even mention taehyung and jungkook in the same sentence or say that they're very obviously close friends, you might end up on some of those 'defend [insert member here]' accounts where they encourage people to block and report for the slightest of 'offenses.' and like you mentioned in your post, that's over people talking about them platonically!! or over people who simply read fic without ever insinuating they think they're actually dating.

the puritanical culture that exists in very large parts of the bts fandom (and was present in the 1d fandom as well) is so weird to witness. we can all have differing opinions on whether or not rpf is 'good' or not, but unless someone is sending fanfiction to bts personally... it is harmless. and it will always exist. you will never enter into a fan space where independent, 'non-canon' content isn't being created by fans... and why would you want to? so much of fandom culture and history is about creation (and is also super lgbt centric!!)

in my opinion, the only people who still get up in arms about shipping discourse in 2023 are those under 18 or those who have no previous fandom experience. after stanning harry styles since 2012, i have heard the 'gay rumors made them drift apart!!!' argument so many times that it is genuinely nausea inducing. (and my opinion on that is... if you are that turned off by people possibly thinking you're queer to the point where it makes you end an important friendship, you either weren't very close to begin with or you're homophobic. likely a combination of the two. gay rumors are not, and never will be, offensive. they are not something you need to protect your fave from. why is this the argument so often touted by fans? why would you WANT your favorite person's self image to be so fragile that they end friendships over rumors? and that's not even getting into the fact that skinship and performance is built into the literal DNA - lol - of kpop...)

like. maybe i'm just too old to care now but i genuinely could not give less of a fuck if people think jk and taehyung are in a relationship. i do not care. they're both beautiful people who are clearly fond of each other. do any of us know how deep that fondness runs? nope! and we never will! and that's more than okay because these are grown men with personal, private relationships that we will never be privy to... as it should be. as long as boundaries are respected, i don't care what people think to be true.

can shippers get overzealous? for sure. do the people who analyze their every move need a new hobby? most definitely. but i think it's more than obvious now that the people who go to insane lengths to invade their privacy are stalkers or people trying to dredge up dating rumors between them and women.

it gets especially transparent when you have videos and rumors online about bts members dating people they've never interacted with publicly (using 'liskook' as an example, there are youtube videos with 10million views about them. one posted ten hours ago has 52k views) but i never see them condemned with the level of vitriol i see people using when it comes to jk and taehyung. is that not weird?

idk man. there's no concise ending to this post. fandom culture just intrigues me which is why i have so much to say about all this. it's especially interesting to me how it intersects with queer culture - or directly opposes it.

nooo i’m so sorry to hear that omfg :( i think the enhablr community in general has a problem with feedback. smaus and headcanons/reactions do very well whereas longer written works don’t get as much traction 😕 honestly, though, recently i’m seeing smaus flopping too and i think it’s bc there’s just SO MANY popping up every single day and often it’s the same ideas being recycled over and over again 😭 i’m on both nctblr and enhablr and the feedback is definitely more on the former 🤧 it’s disheartening to see the motivation go down on this side of the kpop community especially since there r so many talented people here ☹️

aaaa i’m not entirely sure how to help u since u said ur fics r showing up in the tags but still not getting traction 💔 have u joined any networks? u’ll get ur fics reblogged that way and even make more friends who’ll hype u up!! getting noticed also depends on luck to an extent. try checking ur blog’s activity to see when ur followers r most active and post at those times so that maximum people see ur content on the dash without having to scroll much!! also self reblog for those who are in a different timezone from urs so they don’t miss out on ur fics 💗 make sure to use the tags with the most following first too!! i’ve heard people say first five tags don’t matter but what’s the harm in believing that they do LOL i p sure the most followed tags are enhypen imagines and enhypen scenarios (along with enhypen smut bc ppl r horny but idk if ur a minor or not 👁️👄👁️) OH AND LAST THING!! maybe try posting teasers for longer works (or even smaus) so that word spreads and you get a bigger audience when you release the actual content!

idk if any of these tips might actually help you but this is what i have picked up during the past two years i’ve been on tumblr 💗 i would like to reiterate that traction depends on luck as well so not all ur fics will do well but please don’t be disheartened! it takes time to be discovered and if u keep creating consistently and heartily, i’m sure u’ll get everything u deserve and more :D

and yes, absolutely nothing against requests but i just try to write what i want when i want to write it and i worry by doing requests my work might not be as good? if it's an idea i feel like i have to write, then it shifts back more to that job feeling than a passion project and i worry it'll be bad. i like the freedom of this blog and of writing whatever i would like to write.

yes, i have a main tumblr at @hologramhoneymoon - i just reblog a lot of stuff on there, kpop stuff, movie stuff, things that hit a spot in my brain that i like, etc. i like having this blog separate from that so i can keep this just for the fics and have the other one for my messy, chaotic way of reblogging lol. and that way if ppl really don't wanna see that stuff and just want fics, they don't have to worry about their dashes being clogged up with random stuff. it keeps a sort of barrier up between myself and this blog in which i oftentimes think of myself as a little ghost or cloud that runs it. i post my stuff, i answer or talk to anyone who chimes in, and i leave.

if you ever have any specific fic questions, i can answer them, it isn't a problem - i just am super shy and don't wanna assume ppl care or burst any meaning a reader might have put on the fic from their own heart/brain if that makes sense? so i'd answer them but i'd just put them behind a cut so ppl can skip them if they want and also because i love the false sense of control i feel putting things behind a cut like i am ~hiding lol.

okaaay so i was bored and wanted to procrastinate so i thought why not??? keep in mind that this list isn’t exhaustive and there are probably more recs out there but here are just some of my favorites + why i would rec them!! a lot of the recs are on the popular side of things too but i also tried putting in groups that not everyone know of / listen to already ( i put the more popular groups down the bottom btw ).

day6: day6!!!! day6!!! i got into them like over a year after their debut lmao so i was a lil late but damn am i glad that i started listening to them?? they’re more krock than kpop probably but honestly....pls listen to day6.... a lot of people have been saying that some of their songs feel like anime intros too and i would agree?? like some of their songs would fit v v well into shonen anime intros tbh esp probs like sports anime? ANYWAY, they have a variety of songs like they have different sounds for some of their things but i think they still have a v distinctive day6 feel it’s just a matter of preference which sort of sound you like better? honestly, i would rec all their songs but i think for the purpose of this list my rec for them would be letting go (놓아 놓아 놓아). even without context the music video feels so Raw and Deep too imo but...with context lmao they left a keyboard untouched whenever there are scenes of them playing as a band and that’s bc one of their members left and that always makes me emotional. also, congratulations was their debut and you were beautiful is a continuation of that mv wise which i think is cool af. personal rec though? both tracks from the every day6 march ( how can i say is the title track for that one ). 

dreamcatcher: ok so as i write this they’ve only debuted like a couple of months ago but goddamn i love their concept. here’s a fun fact: they debuted on friday the 13th with a song and mv bearing a horror concept which is??? sick af??? their debut mv chase me basically is about the girls as ghosts haunting this place and it is SO COOL. ofc tho, trigger warning for horror!! i believe that the mv is part of the trilogy, and here is the second part of it called good night. the chase me mv i think is the BEST but i really really love good night as a song too. also !! they have rock sounds which is really cool!! ( also, pls listen to yoohyeon, sua and siyeon covering winner’s really really. )

laboum: MY GIRLS WHO DESERVE SO MUCH. i....honestly don’t even know what to rec for this list just bc i like everything they’ve done?? some i do like more than others though, but i think it also kind of depends on your taste and what you like?? if you like kinda like that cute concept then i would def recommend shooting love?? honestly, i myself am kind of like...picky about cute ish concepts just bc a lot of them seem to blur together but i really like shooting love?? it’s such a fun mv and is such a bop. if you’re here for something slower, though, give fresh adventure a listen. and pls support their latest mv ( as i write this ) hwi hwi which is such a catchy song i’m crying.

loona: they’re doing this thing where they’re releasing info about a member every month this year and they’re letting their members come up with a debut song and mv one by one until all their members are out to public. i think it’s a really cool concept too and they seem really really promising. i would recommend watching each of their individual debut mvs ( hyunjin’s around you is my favorite, but watch them all tbh ) and i still can’t get over how much i love their mv ( not featuring all their members tho as not everyone is “released” yet ) love & live.

pentagon: i....love them??? HONESTLY i have no idea what it is about them that makes me love them so much?? sometimes i’m like pls @ them but i really love them and i think their debut was really Solid too?? it’s an mv called gorilla and it just....really impressed me for a debut mv?? their second title track is called can you feel it and they also they have a super cute mv called pretty pretty lmaooo. in their second ep though ( five senses, with can you feel it as title track ) i really like the song engine!! if you like slower and chiller songs, give beautiful a listen too. the mv isn’t like a Spectacular concept or anything but i just love these boys and how much of cute losers they are.

kard: as i’m writing this they have currently not yet debuted but !! they released three project singles that are all such BOPS HONESTLY. kard is a coed kpop group with some really cool sounds. i’m just gonna list all three project singles here because i def think you should listen to all of them esp bc they’re kind of a trilogy song wise?? their first one is oh nana, followed by don’t recall ( a personal fave ) and their most recent one is called rumor. there are v interesting fan theories about the mvs too, especially for don’t recall.

triple h: they’re a project unit featuring hyuna and pentagon’s hui & e’dawn and their debut is!! really something!! their debut mv is called 365 fresh and holy fuuuck. trigger warning for blood, bruises, violence, murder and suicide, though, so please keep that in mind if you plan on watching. if not, the song in itself is such a Fresh song. i love the entire vibe of their entire 199x ep too.

vixx: kings of dance and vocals, ngl. i swear that they just get better and better and better and every time they have a comeback ever since like chained up they just get even fucking better somehow??? fantasy i really really love too and for the longest time it was my favorite song of theirs but then they recently dropped shangri la which is honestly....quite Something Else. i have admittedly not listened to many of their non title tracks either but i really like black out!!

f(x): i’ll be honest and say that i haven’t really listened to much of f(x) other than their 4 walls era but i love that era?? i love the mv to 4 walls too and i would 10/10 rec it. though honestly pls give the entire album a listen and personally, my favorite song from the album is deja vu.

blackpink: goddamn these girls got popular real quick. honestly one of my fave girl groups though I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and though boombayah i think is officially their debut mv whistle is honestly such a bop and also has a bomb ass music video?? their other two mvs playing with fire and stay are also sick af i just really love them. they got the #aesthetic.

seventeen: i’m just gonna keep this short bc i don’t think i know nearly enough about svt just yet but mansae is suuuch a fun mv imo as a whole group that’s their best mv just because it was really fun?? the song is super catchy too. but give their hip hop unit’s check in a listen too bc it’s Iconic tbh.

bts: they honestly deserve the hype they get?? so much?? you’ve most likely already heard about them but if you’re not into them yet or have yet to listen to a song and don’t know where to start my number one rec is blood, sweat and tears — which is also what got me into them — ( and here’s the japanese ver but keep in mind there are triggers for blood, murder & allusions to drugs, i like to think that the japanese ver is an alternate universe/continuation of the korean one and there are lots of theories on this that you can read up ). althouuugh bst especially the mv would set your standards very high i think?? but honestly....that’s a Must Watch if ur getting into bts. i know that it’s already v popular but it really really deserves the attention it gets imo. BUT the entire wings era is worth listening to and also pls listen to all their solos in the wings album ( my personal favorite is rap monster’s reflection ).

red velvet: probably another name that pops up a lot too and they have a really interesting concept tbh?? they have like this duality where red is like a more playful and fun concept and velvet is more classy and elegant in a way?? dumb dumb is a really fun example of the red concept and be natural for velvet!! russian roulette seems like a hit or miss for people too but i think the song is really cute!!

exo: again, who hasn’t heard of them?? monster was a Hit and deservingly so too. i honestly really really love the entire lotto / ex’act album too and i especially really like can’t bring me down from the album. but honestly, as much as how big of a hit monster ( and some of their other mvs like overdose and call me baby, amongst many others are huge hits too ) was, i think my favorite mv they did was sing for you. boy that made me feel things?? many fans speculate that the mv was kind of a tribute to kris, luhan and tao ( three members who left ) too and that made me even more !!! about it. ALSO ALSO they have a sub unit called exo cbx and i just rec everything cbx does tbh but before they became an official sub unit they did this song as an ost for a kdrama and i LOVE it so much it’s called for you.

got7: another really popular group so imma try not talk too much about them but honestly...i think just right is p much an insight into got7′s personality LMAO aka adorable losers. everyone loves all three of their flight log trilogy eras too but my favorite is the flight log: turbulence era. hard carry is a masterpiece that i keep on coming back to and skyway is my other favorite song on the album, followed by boom x3.

bigbang: i’m not even gonna get into this one because chances are you’ve heard fantastic baby or bang bang bang. listen to anything in their made album, basically. but i’m just gonna leave last dance here it was a Masterpiece.

2ne1: a disbanded group, which is really sad lmao. you’ve probably heard i am the best too but i just wanna rec come back home and falling in love. 2ne1 was what got me into kpop in the first place too and i love them.

soloists: i’m too lazy to link all the mvs and all but look into seo inguk, kim chungha, lim kim, ailee, lee hi, park jimin ( of 15& ), amber liu, kisum, dean, heize and i’m probably missing a lot of people.

Hey, I would like some advice if you can. I steer away from most drama related to fandom wars and such. I'm pretty good at curating my space, and I'm only on Twitter for BTS translation/news accounts. I'm here for a good time not to fight ppl over something I love. However, the negativity has been bleeding through recently. BTS was my introduction to kpop, and I'm discovering new groups to listen to, but everywhere I look, I find ppl bashing the boys. For no reason. Like seriously, I find ppl talking about BTS in other fandom spaces sm. Whether it's just hate, ppl trying to discredit the boys, blaming them for interviewers bringing them up to other groups (and not the interviewers?? Or the companies who allow this question to be asked??), praising other groups for doing something and turning around to bash BTS for doing the exact same thing. You know, the usual shit we get.

I want to be in other fandom spaces but it's honestly getting frustrating being there. What should I do in this case?

hey! well tbh i have been going through the same thing ever since i got into kpop in general, and the bts hate only grew in the last 3 years as they achieved more fame. personally speaking, just like u, i have also been repelled from so many interactive spaces of other kpop fandoms bc there's so much shade-throwing at bts for no reason that i have resorted to not following any multi kpop blogs except the network blogs of different kpop groups (so that i don't see any personal rant on my dash) and i would suggest u do the same: only follow multi fans who like (or just respect) bts too or network blogs who only reblog fandom content and provide information. u already stated that u have curated ur space well, and i know u wanna make friends in other fandoms too so i'm sorry u are seeing so much negativity about bts in other kpop fandoms :( also if it means anything, i can be ur multi kpop friend if u want haha ♡

#i don't expect non fans to like bts (or other artists) but they least they can do is respect them as genuine humans which they are :( #ask sae #ask taechnological

Tegiri:

-Tegiri is so fucking dramatic and personally I love it. // His new Troll Call bulletpoints tone down the assorted internet references and reinforce that he kinda sucks with a sword and is conflicted re: Alternian law vs not really wanting to kill people; they also give him another pinch of weeb points.

-Does he have (a replica of) Marquise Fucking Mindfang’s sword??? and while we’re on the topic of ancestors, was that a fucking Signless manga?????

-Tadashi Inu joins the list of Extremely Good Lusii

-Looks like the rebellion is growing by the moment! Meanwhile, Tegiri himself definitely has some doubts about murdering people because the law says so, and seems to be aware of it? (the whole “pull of the light vs path of darkness” thing in his good end) // also like i'm reasonably sure that the “dont murder ppl” thing was the path of darkness??? and he's literally voidbound And a derse dreamer??? in case i messed up and it was the “pull of the light”... he Is shown with closed eyes most of the time, even though it's because of sharingan contacts reasons, but he’ll have to see the light eventually.

-In the process of connecting all these dots I remembered that classpects didn't really play a role in the writing of the Friendsim routes and that put me out a little but regardless, he's probably going to have to choose between following what Alternia says is right vs what his conscience says is right, and I think he'd probably choose the latter, be it because dersies have more rebel vibes or because the consequences for choosing the former were unacceptable (ie: the whole Polypa should have been culled because her lusus died thing)

-Also looks like all teals have some kind of Law Thing. Tirona’s got the whole tattleterror thing, so Stelsa’s the only one that might be an exception now.

-Things that exist on Alternia: Fullmetal Alchemist, Boku no Hero Academia, Fate:Stay Night, Overwatch, Megaman, One Piece (one of Tegiri’s figurines resembles Luffy), Sugoi Quest for Kokoro, Naruto and who knows how many more that I’ve missed.

-Regarding that list and what I’ve seen on my dash, as far as we know Tegiri has good taste in anime.

-About Tegiri’s troll sharingan contacts: either cosplaying as a different (higher only?) caste IS illegal, or it’s not but Tegiri always has his eyes closed anyways because he’s Just That Extra. Considering he wants to stick to the rules, I think it might be the second. Also, the troll Uchiha family are seadwellers confirmed.

-Polypa’s also an anime fan!! And the protagonist’s still her moirail… wonder what might come of this in Act 2?

-An aside: Tegiri thinks he’ll have to kill Polypa eventually (yeah, good luck with that) because she doesn’t have a lusus, so either she’s above the culling age for that but he thinks he has to right his “wrong” (saving her life), or she’s not and Diemen is very lucky he hasn’t had any close friends before the main character.

Zebede:

-Zebede’s got the protagonist’s yearn for Friendship up to eleven, and then up to eleven again. What he doesn’t seem to have is the emotional maturity required to not guilt-trip the fuck out of people.

-Regarding this, my theories are: the friends he has are assholes, and/or they live literally in the opposite side of the planet.

-On psionics: the owner of the anime shop’s eyes were both pink and they seemed to have weak psionics; maybe only the strongest ones get two-toned eyes? Taking Cirava into account, probably only the most powerful of these can become helmsmen… Meanwhile, Zebede confirms that 1: not all golds are psionics and 2: golds (and presumably other potential psychics like burgundys or bronzes) can have other powers, such as animal communion!!!

-Bee communion sure seems like a convenient power for a beekeeper. Perhaps the trolls who have this power become beekeepers, in the same way that jades become carers of grubs and strong psionics become batteries. Now I have to wonder if Sollux had it too… (the 2nap) // Wow Sollux why does your lusus let you have two sets of powers??

-Who was expecting Zebede to write RPF? I wasn’t!

-please please please tell me he did not send that fic to Cirava…

-Speaking about Cirava, they’ve been looking for us on the internet since we left their hive. They also retwitted our post!

-Seeing as there wasn’t even a peep of hatched2dance in Vikare’s route, being kpop on main might be a cultural taboo on Alternia. // Or the most likely explanation, that Zebede replaced Vikare as the kpop guy just as he replaced Beekeeper as well, the beekeper guy. His other new Troll Call bulletpoint ramps up just how far he lives from everyone else, from 3 hours to 2 days.

-We now have a Car. Hopefully we’ll figure out how to get rid of the GPS chip, assuming the bees didn’t fucking destroy the former owner.

-About the car, though… it was conveniently unlocked as if left for us, and it drove to Zebede’s hive without any kind of input besides turning the autopilot on??? The protagonist even says they don’t have any idea of where his hive is… that isn’t ominous as fuck or anything

(cont’d ) many of these ppl, whether they’re white, african, indian, mexican, etc, are harming it and speaking over the voices of korean individuals in the community or simply ignoring it. there’s no reason any non korean individual should be taking on the alias of an idol or creating an alias specifically to fit the “aesthetic” of a culture as someone once explained about their alias or playing only kpop fcs (which i say specifically kpop as there are a lot of other east asian individuals involved in kpop i.e lisa, san, yuta that often get dragged into this mess which harms other east asian individuals) especially when so many other fcs and aliases exist and it’s incredibly unfortunate that some of the loudest voices in the community are the same ones who perpetrate and exploit my culture as nothing more than an aesthetic and a fetish. i love having korean media be so present around the globe and the rpc and i think everyone should learn about these cultures, not just korea but i hate seeing it continuously exploited. i also apologize for how long this turned out! i have been upset for a while and think this rant is my final rant to the rpc as i don’t want to stay in a community that is like this. people like you are the only ones that give me hope and i hope one day things will change. ❤️

SVT yes that part in home where they choreographed like a house imagery with their hands was so cool!! the choreo is just so detailed (like i think there was a part that looked like they were opening a door bc it's "home"), i had heard svt is self produced and thats so amazing! theyre so talented and their performances are so good (the ones i've seen so far). i watched their mafia dance video for left and right and it was so FUNNY HAHAHAA they seem so chaotic i love it (also i love the mafia dances in general lol like nct dream did it for we go up). i'm going to try to learn svt's names (which i usually do by just watching crack videos about the group on youtube lmao) so stay tuned 👀 coming from nct, 13 members doesnt even seem like a lot to me anymore hahaha and i think im usually good with names so we'll see! i am also curious to see if i end up stanning dino :)) who are your svt biases??

21. Average hours of sleep: *screech* I should sleep at least 8 hours or I’ve a super iper mega giga headache, but I’m a dumbass and usually stay up until it’s too late and the next morning I struggle to get up. Or, I can sleep to 14 hours.

22. Lucky number: 7 or 8, I’ve never really thought about it, but I think 8.

23. Instruments: I used to play something in elementary school but I gave up for lack of interest.

24. What am I wearing: I’m literally sweating the sweats of my ancestors so I’m wearing only a pink camisole and a pair of purple shorts.

25. How many blankets do I sleep with: depends on the season, now (here’s summer) I sleep without blankets bc I’d risk to burst into flames lmao, but in winter I do love to wrap myself in a duvet. The softer the better lmao.

26. Dream job: I DON’T KNOW. I’d like to do something books related but I’d need a degree or do something with the language I know bc I really love to speak and help tourist.

27. Dream trip: I’d like so much to see the pyramids, I love Egypt and everything related to it. I’d also like to visit Scotland again bc i’ve been there in idk 2014 (I’m bad at memorizing thing) and it was like a dream.

28. Favorite food: I do love to eat, I think my faves are pasta, pizza (hehehe I’m Italian) but also tiramisu, ice-cream, and fruit such as peaches, strawberries, cherries and melon.

happy birthday

its both amusing and kinda annoying how ive been on tumblr since bts debuted, in these four years ive always had at least one mutual stan them and reblog them onto my dash. it was weird seeing these seven korean dudes on my dash when at the time i was only interested in one direction & youtubers but i always rlly liked the blog so i just kind of let them stay. i never thought much about them, i wld occasionally read about some guy named suga or kookie but i didnt know who they were (or why they had the names suga and kookie). i saw their faces, i saw gifs of their music videos and interviews but i didnt know them. i remember vividly seeing a screencap of we are bulletproof pt. 2 and joonie and i did not see the appeal at all. imma be real here, we are bulletproof pt.2 was not a good look for any of the boys (except tae and jin… have they ever rlly had a bad era??). then probably during the run era, there was even more bts on my dash that at some points i would only see them. not only that but i had a real life friend start to stan them. at this point i was kinda over seeing these ppl i didnt know on my dash, but i still didnt bother to find the effort to get into them. i had thought about it after my friend made me listen to some songs, they were catchy and now they all looked good but i just didnt have the energy to deal with not knowing the language. i was (and still am) learning spanish, i didnt want to deal with 2 languages i didnt know especially when i wanted to sing along. what a fool i was, truly. i remember me and of my friends were waiting in line for a concert in downtown dallas and she was freaking out bc bts was performing that night as well. can u believe i was in the same vicinity as them and i didnt rlly care?? its so weird knowing theyve been there this whole time and i just didnt put in the effort to know them. i had another friend come into my life, and she would rave about their dancing. i remember one night when the dope dance practice vid came out she was talking about it. i went ahead and recorded myself trying to dance along. trust me,, it was not pretty at all. i cant even dance normally why did i try omg. i cant believe i watched them and i didnt even know how much they would impacf me. i finally decided to try and get into them last spring, and i was an even bigger fool. i listened to their music, along with bands like b.a.p and girls generation but i didnt actually bother to know them. i wonder what would happen if i bothered to look into the boys then, i probably would have stayed interested in kpop. yeah, i got bored so i stopped listenting. bts nearly snatched me but my laziness kept me away until november when @taesdick and another friend of ours showed me blood, sweat, and tears. i only listend bc when myrah and our friend sang i thought they were just yelling “money, money, money!” and i was like shit?? money?? i gotta get back into this. from there they showed me their mv’s and when i got home i kept watching. it was different this time bc now i knew their personalities, now i knew when new songs came out so i wouldnt be bored of the same 20 songs. it just kept going downhill from there. i always heard from old one d blogs how sweet ARMYs were and i remember thinking damn what if my fandoms were like that. i remember reading abt how much bts does and thnking damn. ??? i cant believe how much a fool i was to be so close to them my whole life and then just willingly ignore them. now were at present day and i would easily die for these seven boys. as much as i make fun of them,, i truly do love them. in only what, 8 months? theyve inspired me more than anyone. how hard they work, how passionate they are, how humble and loyal they are? its new and refreshing. its everything i want to be. im proud of how theyve grown, how theyve affected so many people. but its also a weird kind of proud. like im running into and old classmate, one i never really talked to but was always in the same class as me. i can see theyve changed and grown, but i witnessed it all secondhand. im awestruck by how much theyve grown, how theyve strengthend their talents and still are so sweet. it leaves a warm feeling in my stomach, a feeling like a soft fire that protects you from the cold. its a feeling like home, as if all this time i had been right next to this fire but i just kept walking in circles around it until the fire became too strong. anyways, im home now. im home and i cant think of the words of to how happy i am for bts. i wish them the world, all the love and luck in the universe to grow even more. xoxo
