10 Anti LO Asks

1. lo hades def looks like he's into crypto, you know what I mean? especially bc you cant be taxed on it, the richer the better!

2. This isnt even just LO but why do so many of the romance comics have such a desire to sexualize barly legal young women who are of COURSE naive virgins (but also super sexy and horny and know how to flirt out of the blue!) and try and make us root for them to get into relationships with their Christian Grey knock-off bosses?? like Let's Play (spoilers I guess) thought it'd be funny to have the MC be in physical PAIN after having sex, like why are you showing your teen audience this???

3. Nah I feel the same way as other anon. LO is way too confused on whether it's a light hearted YA story or a serious drama for Mature™️ readers. Like the SA and (one) therapy session was more or less handled perfectly fine, but everything from the AOW to the Trial is either incredible goofy or tries way too hard to be "serious" with RS and her team both not putting the writing nor art skill into it to hold any weight. It just comes across as melodramatic and try-hard over genuine and well planned

4. There's so many "quirks" in LO's art that are bad but WHY is it a thing where when a character is just standing there their arms and legs are just glued to the side of their bodies like🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️🧍? that's not how even soliders at attention stand, there's still bones and muscles to account for but they end up with that end product? I just do not get how her and her team have probably 50+ years of art education and practice between them and yet they fail on such basic concepts every time.

5. I for one think that the differences between how characters slapping each other is depicted as either good or bad depending on who’s doing the slapping isn't hypocritical of RS: Hecate slaps Hades because she thinks he’s being predatory towards Persephone, this is a well-intentioned slap. Minthe’s slap on the other hand, is not justifiable because she was in the wrong in the context of that conflict: you don’t get to just stand your boyfriend up and hit him when he’s hurt by it.

6. it's just funny WT itself has a posting rule that your comic "cant show topics like incest or grooming" as if thats not the majority of the romance genre itself. yall ever read eggnoid? cmon now.

7. punderworld made a myth rec list and go figure some lo fans were in the comments saying "LO was all [they] needed" and its like how would you even know this episode happened unless you were subbed to punderworld, therefore proving they keep up with other myth comics? also the creator got upset at the lo fans being mad she didnt also rec LO as if its not the most advertised series on that whole site and she was promoting smaller creators. LO fans are so entitled even to other creators it's crazy.

8. I think the issue with the “let people like things” argument (and the fans do this so much) is that I’m All for that, I and every other critic isnt saying you can’t like, hell there’s parts of it I do like and wish there was more of! But if you go “just let people enjoy things!!” when it comes to legitimate criticism (ie misogyny, racism, classism, mishandling of trauma and assault to push a romance along, etc) you don’t care about others opinions, you just want them to like YOUR thing.

9. we already know rachel is a weeb but it's most obvious when it's a kissing scene because she does NOT draw lips but all of a sudden they get huge and glossy when theyre about to smooch but nothing else about the face adjusts with it and it's like what the hell is that 😭

10. i honestly dont blame lo fans for buying books of it even if the quality of it degrades rapidly after vol 1, once it ends (maybe in five years at this rate) webtoons will right away put it on daily pass which is notoriously a bad venue for rereads/new readers who missed when it was originally published and given how rachel has no sense of less is more, itll cost hundreds of dollars just to read the current 190+ episodes, much the many more shell milk out of it. might as well avoid that now 😵‍💫

How start to love favoritism and get redemption arc in LO.

So i want to talk about Underworld work, especially how much there prospers favoritism. There is you can read post why favoritism is bad

as in this post i started to interest in it after discussion between Daphne and Thanatos, but after i started reread LO i have seen how much Thanatos was right, but his position was shamed by everyone, by"good" characters, by audience, even Author have shown it as something wrong, and only he strated to love Persephone and thought that special attitude to her is fine, he became good person and start his redemtion arc.

i don't want to talk about how unbalanced this relationship is (I saw many posts about it and i have nothing to add), i am more interested how it influences on other co-workers.

Favoritism in underworld or maybe on Olymp seems to be something normal, because Hera given this work for Persephone for to get closer with Hades (it was hinted very clear), although they had antoher opotuinities for this, with their finances and love for Savor they could do Dinner party, ball, party etc where Persephone and Hades could know each other better. Why was love affair at work best variant for it? I sincerely have no idea.

Wherein Persephone said that she isn't enough skilled for this work, so someone enough skilled doesnt get this position, because Hera want to make couple from Persephone and Hades.

i would be fine if Persephone try hard for this job, yes, some characters said that she is smart, but I didn't see her labor and striving, i dont feel like she deserve this position, her only merit on that moment was beuty, it s not enogh i think, btw to be nice and kind too. As they say in my country "a good person is not a profession".

Let's look on Underworld's bosses.

in story RS tried to show as Hades is hard worker, he preferred work to relationship, he thinks about work even in strip club and many characters said that he is so. But his behavior shows him absolutly from another side.

to my mind he and Hecata busy only his personal life. With Minthe and after with Parsephone.

as soon as Hades knew that Persephone in Underworld he left everything and flew to save her, very romantic, isn't it? but let's think a bit: Persephone came in dangerous closed facility (btw where their security system?) and made accident, it like someone broke in secret laboratory and start the fire, even if it accidentally it s not something that would be left without responsibility.

Someone can said: it's not her fault, it reptile Minthe! I partially agree with it (only partially) but it s truth for audience not for Hades, he didnt know it. For him it should be random person which got into forbidden place and acted badly there.

Hades reaction: he started to regret her, to apologize, to go everywhere with her, What the Hell was going on? oh yes and another co-workers had to look for Persephone`s brooch and cloak, so they had to left their their direct responsibilities, because somebody coulndt go away after she understood that this place is dangerous, she could wait after door of Tower 4 or befor Hades cabinet, she wouldnt lost anything in this way. But Persephone is sooo smart, isnt she, Hera?

btw very considerable moment Thanatos started to worried about his work when he knew that Persephone is liked by Hades, because he entered in train before her, does it mean that Hades not only choose favorites but shamed co-workers which dont like this favorites? we will see that yes he do it.

Another situation is presentation Persephone, oh i feel your cringe Minthe, i were in similar situation, my past boss forced our team to congratulate his girlfriend with birthday, should i say that we even didnt know her? it was so awkward. when i read this part of story i feel the same cringe as in that day. Yeah this boss was kinda terrible, mb he didn't like me because i am not enough beauty for him? i have this feeling after LO reading.

First working day of Persephone is just quintessence of favoritism. initially Hecate went with her everywhere, after - Hades started to do it, they even changed his schedule and yeah i find indignation of Minthe and Thanatos (i dont care about their motives now) very reasonable and Hecates arguments were just silly. Why he should work with someone unqualified? and why boss dont have better business than to take an excursion on Underworld with new intern?

Hecate arguments is annoying, he cant said that she is unskilled (she is really so) because he eaten her baklava? great. Why they need to apologize for Persephone stupidity? Tell me someone pls, it s to hard for my mind. And yeah it's not school prom, mb Hades will start to work and stop flirting with new intern?

Oh i start to hate her, how she can be one of the favorite character by audience. Can she just be honest? Persephone is here and everyone go around her because Hades find her attractive.

Another favoritism example it is Persephone salary, Author could not accentuate that trainee dont get salary in Underworld, and it would be fine, okay she get receive income now but no, Persephone should be special and other interns aren't so special, it would okay if she would work in office some time and she would be so hard worker that leadership would want to prize her for it. But she is just special, just because she is attractive for Hades.

In chapter 88 Persephone confessed that she flirt with Hades, but she dont want special treatment, but she embarrassed only by business card, not salary, not that everyone worry about her. It shown as joke, oh ha-ha how naive Persephone, for me it looks not like joke, more like mockery for people who work hard and don't have such prizes, because they are not attractive for their bosses.

And in this chapter Hades left his working place and gone to decide Persephone's problems, problems other workers don't matter, but Hecata asked nice question.

i think no, how Hade's corporation are still active and success with such directors?

but actually no, looks like Thanatos and Minthe are still try to do some job, because only they could teach Persephone how to work with computer program (why is not Hermes? he works in the same position as Thanatos does it mean that he doesn't understand in this work anything because she even did not ask him?) and I on Thanatos side in this, why he should spend his time for her? (He already has trouble that he works worse than Hermes) and btw he tried to work, did not fawn for boss favorite, so he tried to make his work better in honest way.

And maybe she will try to read user guide? if she learned how to rule car from reading what is problem to do the same with computer program? and doesn't waste time of another workers.

Anyway It's strange that people which try to work are not fire yet. Because another worker who tried to do her work right was almost fired, because princess don't know her ID. Whose fault is it? Again for Persephone's fault another worker had trouble, and why is shown as humor again? why pain and fear are funny here, and it's unfunny where Gestia acted with Persephone in similar way. I think if it s funny it should be funny with everyone not only with defenseless and weak workers which isnt boss favorite.

and of course hades gone to bank with their interns, because what else he could do on the work? pffffff

the only time where Hades reaction looks adequate at the start at least, it accident where Persephone given coins to souls which made riot because of it and again with it should deal other workers. everything what happened with Persephone that Hades was a bit angry and after they kissed, she transformation in butterflies, he forget about this accident and started to search what transformation means.

I thought it makes no sense to compare relationship Hades/Persephone and he\his other workers. For everything that she done any other worker would be fired, beaten, killed or something.

this leitmotif in LO if you like Persephone you are nice, if you don't - go to hell. Thanatos redemption start from his liking Persephone and think that Favoritism is fine.

Why it should care other workers and Thanatos especially? because they have trouble because of her, she tried to waste their time, and some great hard worker dont get any prize, where she get prize only for flirting with boss. their boss became unproductive and don't care about them, he think only about his sweet princess.

So go away Daphne, pls. You are such smart as Persephone.

Btw Thanatos is gathering souls, and Hermes falsified counts of souls because of Persephone, i am not sure about that but looks like Hermes productivity were such great because of this falsification, so if it is so, he can hate her with pure conscience, because he was blamed that he is lazy and bad worker and didnt get increase in salary.

So okay, i think Favoritism can be in fiction, but not how it was shown in LO, as something unequivocally positive and romantic, and Thanatos opinion was unequivocally shamed, everything it can work with grey moral story and such type of characters, someone can say: in LO characters are "grey", maybe, for me they are much worse than grey, but in story they dont show as grey, grey moral story it s when you can like any character and dont be in others eyes "misogynic" or no one will say to you "dont sit right with me" because of it, and another phrases which get person who prefered unpopular LO characters.

honestly i am simply in the mood to talk about pokéspe so here i am! i have come with questions (and opinions).

1) what's your favorite arc of the manga? i need to reread the whole manga at some point because i know my favorite arc is influenced by nostalgia but At This Point it's probably ruby/sapphire, but followed incredibly closely by or tied with g/s/c and hg/ss. x/y is also up there.

2) what's your LEAST favorite arc of the manga? this is a bit of a tough question for me because i truly love almost all of the manga but luckily for me there's an almost in there. i simply do not enjoy the omega ruby/alpha sapphire arc. it does not vibe with me. it's not necessarily bad for any specific reason but i just don't click with the story or characters as much as usual.

3) do you have a physical manga collection? this question is mostly so i can gush about mine whoops. over quite a few years i've collected every arc from red/blue to x/y and my books are my favorite thing i own! unfortunately my x/y collection is all mini volumes which i personally am not a fan of, so i'll end up reselling them and replacing them with normal volumes when i can. as of now i'm on a break from buying new volumes until there are more normal volumes out.

HIII sorry for the late response I was sleeping but fuck yeah pokespe infodumping moments let's go

1. oogh this is kind of hard . I want to say RGB just for nostalgia reasons and also because it's the one I've reread the most (partially because it's a genuinely really good read, partially because I keep telling myself I want to reread the original continuity and then leaving off at RS for whatever reason and restarting UBUDAMKJNID) . I think the best arcs, ones I would recommend to people who didn't care about reading the books in order for whatever reason, would probably be either RS or XY. RS stands better on its own a little more than XY though, iirc (XY has a lot of callbacks DNJISJJO). I also have a soft spot for FRLG just because it's kind of funny how fucking miserable and angsty it is for the good portion of it it's like the emo teen phase of pokespe

2. This one is Also hard but not as much. When I think "least favorite" I tend to try and think of something I actively dislike but I feel like the only contender here is ORAS because honest to God I like read it once when I was 16 and I cannot remember a single fuckign thing . That happened in it ? I have no feelings about it other than the art was nice 👍 DJSKNFNJKS aside from that uhh I think that B2W2 is like... the weakest? Which makes sense because of the whole . Hiatus thing . But idk by the time I finished reading it (I waited to read it until it was finished) I remember feeling like there was a lot of wasted potential with Lack-Two and Whi-Two's characters . Given Pokespe has made a lot of commentary in the past about corruption and, for lack of a better term, the literal enslavement of children and how it's Obviously Evil and Bad, I figured that they would have like... a more emotional character arc, like Blue or Silver did? But IIRC they just didn't, there was set-up but no payoff. It has the same energy as like... if HGSS had ended with Silver actually going back and training under Pryce . Nothing felt resolved with these kids' internal issues, they just went full circle. Maybe I am misremembering something but yeah i guess in terms of Pokespe arcs I'm very forgiving, and I'm usually like "this arc might be kinda bad but it has a lot of good!" but B2W2 had the least good and the most bad, so like . Yeah

Also honorable mention for both questions . HGSS . I cannot tell if it's actually good but I have a lot of mental illness about it . 8/10

And lastly, 3; I DO but it's a fucking unorganized Disaster Area rn. I also have a really weird assortment of books that's only really helped by me having half of the collector's volumes. I meant to get more but we asked for something really expensive for Christmas, so I might try to get my hands on the rest for our birthday ? Idk . I don't have a bookshelf so my Pokespe display is actually just... the top of my dresser? So I don't actually have a lot of space to uh . Put them . But yknow NDKMOAIJND If I have the energy later I might clean and reorganize the display so I can get a decent picture of it

I've just finished reading 'Like Cabbages and Kings' and OH. MY GOD. it was so ENGAGING and interesting!!😱💕 I loved everything about it - especially how the author manages to create a world that feels pretty much ALIVE and rich💕✨ There’s a lovely sense of magic, with a lot of references to ‘Alice in Wonderland’, but also with enough new stuff for it to be different and unique! Loved the softness and all those scenes of them in meadows and surrounded by flowers - and the plot was so interesting!!! The song lyrics at the beginning of each scene were a beautiful touch as well - love how related they were to the plot💗🌺 It was a really beautiful read, and I enjoyed it so muuuuch!! Thank you so much for recommending me, it's really lovelyyyyyy and I'm sure I'll reread it at some point!💗

And 'Through the Darkest of your Days' sounds super interesting! I haven't read it, but I did read 'A House Build Out of Stone', and, knowing that they're both by the same author, I'm sure it'll be a really nice read as well! The main premise has me like 👀👀👀 because it 100% sounds like the type of thing that I'd enjoy, with the precise amount of angst and happy ending that makes it all worth it, right?! How did you find the progression of the plot/their rs?? I may end up adding it to my To Read list, because it sounds really cool!💗 Are you reading something new now?🥰

The best days in Remy’s life

This is a soulmate AU that I def wrote for @izzyfandoms birthday! So, Happy Birthday! Hope you have an amazing day! Also hope you enjoy this :)

(This one is only fluff lol)

Remy glanced at his arm, watching as the words appeared letter by letter. He wished he could reply, but as more words started coming in new colours, he figured that he could reply in a little bit. He smiled, wishing he could read it all and be a part of the conversation, but for the moment he was supposed to simply take orders and make coffee. He didn’t even have a pen on him, it was common policy at most workplaces, and in school, that way you couldn’t write to your soulmates instead of working.

Remy finally finished the coffee, calling the name of the customer before putting it on the pick up table. Then he switched with the last cashier to take the next order. He spared a quick glance to his arm, the words were still being scribbled, before he looked up to take the order.

“Hi, welcome to…” Remy stopped mid sentence as he noticed the pink pen that the person in front of him was holding. He knew it was possible that it was just the same colour, so he glanced down at the arm. “I- uh… You’re E?” he then said, reading the words he had just seen appear on his own right hand.

The person lit up, meeting his gaze before looking down at his arm, the grin on his face was probably the best thing Remy had seen in his whole life.

“Yes! You- You must be RS! The coffee shop one!” E grinned, reaching out a hand, which Remy quickly took.

“Yes! I uhm… Remy. My name is Remy. I- goodness I knew you all would be beautiful but, babe you are the most adorable person I’ve seen” he said, before realizing he probably should wait before properly flirting, he was working right now.

“Oh!” E blushed, his smile becoming wider. “Thank you! You are very cute too” E said, and Remy immediately turned a bright red, he put a hand over his mouth trying to hide it “And uh, I’m Emile by the way. It’s very nice to finally meet you”

Emile! Remy couldn’t believe it. He finally had the name of one of his soulmates! And his soulmate was so gorgeous and… Remy should probably reply before Emile thought he was way too weird.

“Yeah babe, it’s good to meet you too!” he quickly spared a glance back towards his coworker, who was staring at him with a raised eyebrow. “I- I have work right now, and it’s rush hour. I uh, I can give you my number though! My shift ends at like 7, and I wish I could take a break and talk to you for hours but my friend doesn’t seem to like me right now” he then explained as his gaze went back to Emile. Emile! He couldn’t believe he finally found his soulmate!

“Oh that’s fine!” Emile said, grinning “I- I guess I should order” he then added looking up at the menu again “Gosh, I don’t even know what to order anymore. RC told me to try the… rainbow? or something like that?” he then explained

“Oh! Yeah I saw that. I-” he turned around to look at his co-worker “Kev- can you make that rainbow drink that Janus and Remus always orders?” he then asked, Kev did a quick thumbs up, before Remy grabbed a cup and scribbled down Emiles name and then added his own phone number, then he handed it to Kevin. “Have the best of days Emile” Remy really liked how the name rolled off his tongue “text me” he then added, Emile grinned before nodding.

“Will do” he said, going to pick up his own wallet

“Don’t worry about that babe” Remy said as Emile tried to hand him money “It’s on the house”

Remy felt happier than he had ever been before. He walked with a bounce in his step that he normally would’ve felt disgusted about, but his day had just been so perfect.

He met one of his soulmates. He met Emile. He met Emile. He glanced down at his arm again, rereading the message in pink that clearly stated “I met RS!”, it was quick confirmation that it had been real. The hearts that had been drawn all around it in light blue made Remy even more thrilled.

However, the glance at his arm made him forget to focus on where he was going. He simply took a left turn before suddenly he was in the arms of someone. He glanced up, meeting the eyes of the other person.

“Oh! I didn’t see you there” the man said, letting Remy up on his feet again.

“No worries gurl!” Remy said “I am positively sure I walked into you and you catched me” he then added for good measure, as the man seemed to try to pull himself into his hoodie. “Thank you for that” he then added “Also sorry I guess, I was just so happy about meeting my soulmate, I forgot to see where I went” he added, glancing down at his arm again, the man followed his gaze, before freezing up.

“Are you E? Or RS?” the man asked, blinking a few times. “I-” he dragged up his own sleeve, and the words covering them were simply a copy of the ones on Remy’s.

“Oh goodness babe, my day keeps getting better!” Remy said, lowering his sunglasses to see the second soulmate clearer “I’m Remy, and you are gorgeous” he said, delighted when the man’s cheek got redder

“Virgil, actually” he explained “I believe you are the gorgeous one” he then added, and Remy’s eyes widened, a smile on his face.

“You win that fight babe” he then said, before feeling the vibration of his phone in his pocket “One sec” he said, picking it up quickly.

“Is that E? He said he got your number” Virgil’s eyes lit up. “I’ve been waiting for years to meet you”

“It is” Remy said smiling as he looked up at Virgil “And trust me, I’ve been waiting for just as long to meet you”

Emile, Remy and Virgil planned to meet up for a coffee date the next day, at a cute coffee shop near the place Emile lived. Remy got dressed in his nicest leather jacket, and went walking down the street towards the address that Emile had given. It wasn’t far, only a fifteen minute walk, and well… Remy had no car and he hated the bus, so walking it was.

He grinned as he walked, his mind filled with thoughts on how to compliment his soulmates in as many ways as possible. Maybe he should get them flowers? In pink and purple, or in all the colours of their pens? Red, pink, purple, light blue, dark blue and his own black. It would be so simple to do so, the flower shop was right…

Looking around Remy realized that he had gone past the flower shop already, he quickly turned around to walk back to it, before a hand was on his shoulder and he was yanked backwards, a car ran right past his nose after that.

“Oh shit!” he cursed, turning around to thank the stranger, before noticing the arms that were covered in writing, in his writing to be exact. And in Emiles, and Virgils, and RC and L and P. He glanced up. A black polo with a blue tie.

“If you need to walk over the street, I would suggest checking if there are any cars coming first” the guy said, and Remy almost laughed, this had to be L! He talked the same way he wrote. That beautiful wonderful guy.

“That seems like a great idea babe” Remy said “I wasn’t paying attention, was too busy thinking about getting my soulmates flowers, E and V. Would love to get some for RC and P and L too” he said, hoping that the stranger would catch what he was saying, if Remy knew his soulmate as well as he thought he did…

“You are RS?” L asked, blinking a few times before nodding his head “It is very nice to meet you, I have quite literally waited for you, as well as the other four, for my whole life” he added

“The feeling is mutual” Remy said “My name is Remy” he added, reaching out his hand in the hopes that L would shake it.

“Mine is Logan Logic” he explained “I was going to the library in the hopes of finding a new book to read, but I would like to get to know you better if you are free? If not I would certainly be content with simply exchanging numbers and meet up another time” he continued

“I am going to meet up with E and V” Remy explained “and I am officially inviting you to hang out with us now” he reached a hand out, which Logan took, even if he seemed hesitant “But first, those flowers I was talking about” he said, checking if the road was clear before walking this time. ***

The bell rang as the two soulmates walked through the door to the flower shop. Remy had never been inside of this shop before, but he just knew that his soulmates would enjoy a bouquet each. Logan silently admired the flowers around them while Remy walked up to the register. He had no idea how flowers worked, so he figured he could probably ask for some help.

“Hello! How can I help you?” the guy who worked there said, a smile that Remy could see was one that was put up for customers on his face.

“Hello gurl! I want to put together like a bouquet out of specific colours for my soulmates, if that is something you can do?” Remy said, the guy nodded his head.

“Just tell me what colours and I can show you all the wonderful flowers we have” he said, motioning to the whole shop. Remy nodded his head, looking around

“Alright, so… pink, purple, light blue and dark blue, red, and black?” he explained “Is there even any black flowers?” he then asked

“There is” the guy quickly glanced down at his covered arm before looking up at Remy again “This might be a weird question, but are you possibly one of my soulmates?”

“There is only one way to know that” Remy replied, dragging up his sleeve again, the guy looked at that, and then to Logan, before he looked down at his own arm, quickly dragging up his own sleeve.

“I’m Roman Creativity! Or RC I guess! Oh gosh I have waited for this for years! I wrote a song about it! Can I sing it to you? Not now of course! Which one are you?” the guy, Roman, started to ramble.

“Remy! or RS! And this is Logan” Remy turned around, waving for Logan to come to them. Logan quickly abandoned the flower he was looking at, walking up to them. Roman looked at Logan’s arms for a second before his smile became even brighter.

“You look just like I imagined!” he exclaimed “Handsome and formal! Goodness I love it!” Roman said, Logan blinked for a few moments before turning to Remy.

“Logan, this is Roman, our soulmate. RC” Remy explained, Logan’s eyes lit up and he turned back to Roman.

“RC? Oh I’ve waited so long to have discussions with you about poetry! Also I believe you told me you wrote your own.” Logan said “I would love to read it if you let me, I do have a fascination with poetry and from what you have written on our skin I am more than sure I would love yours” he continued, Roman grinned.

“Thank you my dear! Yes, of course you can read it sometime, I have waited all my life for this moment” he paused, looking around “I had expected it to entail a bit more music, but! that can be fixed with time” he explained

“I am sure it will babe” Remy smiled “Now, how long is your shift?” ***

Remy had thought the day before had been the best day of his life, but this day was slowly turning out to be much better. He had found four of five soulmates, now the only one who was missing was P. He had gotten his bouquets, immediately giving two of them to Roman and Logan, before the three of them went to find the café together.

As it turns out, Roman worked at the family business on the weekends, and his parents were quick to take his shift when he had explained that he had met his soulmates, and that they would go to meet two more soulmates.

Given that Remy was apparently good at finding soulmates, it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that they had arrived twenty minutes late. He quickly scanned the café, finding Virgil and Emile sitting in the corner, happily chatting with a stranger. And well, if Remy had this much luck with finding soulmates, maybe his soulmates had had the same luck.

He walked up to the table, grinning as he held out the bouquets.

“Hey babes” he spoke, gaining their attention “Sorry I’m late, I ran into these two on the way” he explained, motioning to Logan and Roman.

“Oh! No worries Remy” Emile smiled “We found Patton here! He’s P! The light blue one” he explained

“Oh it’s a pleasure babe” Remy grinned, going to shake his hand before realizing that he was holding the bouquets still. “I wish I had known, I don’t have enough bouquets for all of you now” he then added, handing Emile and Virgil a bouquet each. “And they are Roman and Logan! They are RC and L” he explained.

Remy couldn’t really believe it as they sat there for the next few hours. He had managed to meet all five of his soulmates during two days, and now he could just sit and actually listen to them talk instead of reading the words. It was the best feeling in the world.

He knew that there would be plenty more dates like this.

One where Roman would sing that song he wrote to them,

One where he could cuddle up with Virgil while watching Nightmare before christmas,

One where Patton would take them to his special star watching place, where Logan would kiss them for the first time,

One where Logan would bring them to his favourite museums, where Remy would be able to listen to him ramble about all facts he found interesting,

One where Emile would teach them how to skate, where they would all really just fall over each other,

One where Remy would have them all sleep in a blanket fort while playing truth or dare,

One where they would all bake and throw flour at each other while laughing,

And many many more. Remy couldn’t wait.

2/2: something that many ppl get right (granted its all subjective but... you know), or at least something that ppl dont put too much effort into bc theyre "just" background characters. but you do it so, so well!!!! ive just read through riding my and i thought the same thing about all the other boys!! like the background character characterization is so so good!!! all of your characterization is, but i feel like background characters needed to be complimented specifically!! :)

Wow thank you?? So much?? 😲🥰 I'm not gonna lie, I struggled a lot while writing Harry in eloped. because I had so little information about him, but he was also the most fun at certain points. He really helped building Tom and Reader's rs too, didn't he? It was a good challenge, so it's very flattering that you would notice details like that.

I'm not sure how others feel about this, but sometimes reading a story that's only about two babes in love can be so boring. Everyone develops their personality from a lot more people than just their romantic partner! That's why it's so important to me to have background characters.

This is a proper rant now, so I'm gonna wrap up by saying thank you again. It truly means a lot that you caught on to that 😘 also that you stayed up so late reading eloped.!!!!! And wanting to re-read it?!? 😱 thank you. Forever. Readers like you make a writer's world a brighter place 💙

Rules: List ten of your favorite characters from ten different fandoms!

Imperial Radch- Seivarden Vendaai. The Forever Fave. Which I never would have predicted, before reading the series; I think a bunch of very specific things combined to cement her into my heart. The main one though is probably just the relatable mental illness struggles, unromanticized and explicitly triggered by shame and failure.

Dragon Age- Iron Bull. So like. I’ve gone through a lot of different Dragon Age phases, and he’s only been my focus for the latest one, and I will freely admit I find his voice acting dissatisfying and his romance corny and occasionally uncomfortable. But I can’t stop thinking about this dude. He hits my “friendly bro with hidden darkness and repression” character weak spot, and he has a canon npc romance that hits all of my favorite tropes, and his identity issues are fun. Also, I kind of wonder how much my current obsession has to do with how Weekes did manage to (perhaps accidentally?) hit on a comforting transmasc fantasy of the big masculine bro friend who loves and accepts and protects you. Yes his relationship with Krem is at times very Cis Man Writing but it also. Gets to me.

The Expanse- Y’know, this is a really tough one, considering the immense love and adoration I have in my heart for at least five characters from this show/series, but since I just read Nemesis Games, it has to be Naomi Fucking Nagata. If there’s one thing- Well. If there’s 2 things I’d change about the show it’d be 1) explicit gay/bi mains 2) make Naomi the main character. She’s like an iceberg with her incredible hidden depths, and I alternately feel like cheering and sobbing about twice each of her chapters. Her battles with with suicidality, her struggle to define herself and her past and her people, “the only right you have with anyone is the right to walk away”... ugh she’s so good.

Star Wars- Kreia. Still. Always. Out of the entire franchise. Didn’t know my #1 narrative kink was “old lady lectures you about objectivism for a whole game, is the secret final boss and makes you kill her while confessing her love for you” before I played KOTOR 2 but now I know and I can never go back.

Marvel Comics- Xavin. Low key I’m still a little devastated over the way the Runaways show adapted them :/ I want my arrogant, violent, prejudiced, selfless, courageous, loving teenage space royal back :( Still holding out hope for an eventual comics return...

Doctor Who- Izzy Sinclair. Read the Doctor Who Magazine comics for the best companion ever!!! Love that gay Trekkie nerd and her banter with Eight.

Less obscurely, Romana. A big crush since childhood. Then I got into the audios where she’s an egomaniac constantly teetering on the edge of tyranny and fell for her forever.

Deep Space Nine: Unfortunately, Quark. Loving him feels like going down a mud slide- weirdly liberating.

Tolkein: Gimli!!! He wasn’t my fave when I was a kid- that was Aragorn, who was the center of a bunch of confusing baby transmasc feels, and then second place was a toss up between Eowyn and Galadriel- but when I reread in high school he utterly won my heart and I played dwarves in every rpg where that was an option from then onwards.

Machineries of Empire: Khiruev. I don’t think YHL loved her quite as much as I did (where’s my resolution to her story, yoon? ;__;) but that’s ok. RS is my favorite in the series because of her. Greying scarred older bisexual woman who’s a mess of extreme loyalty and passive suicidality and FEELINGS? aw yeees.

Uhhh shoot I need one more. What even are my fandoms. Uhhh well I still need to get back to Star Trek Disco but my fave was definitely Emperor Georgiou. I feel a bit guilty whenever I see people upset that we didn’t get regular Georgiou back, because Emperor Georgiou is like, one of the best things Star Trek has ever done for me personally. I love her so much.
