Yea! They have their huge room too! HERE I GO IM GONNA START BRAGGING

Lemon. Our oldest. We got him from someone who needed to rehome him as they were moving to a place that doesn't allow pets. He's 7 years old now we believe. He's always been a lazy boy but he's also the boss of everyone and has the last say.

Puppy, aka Space Cadet Pizza Puppy. We got him from a girl who was gifted him but didn't know what to do with him. He's around 4 now. I swear he thinks he's people. He is a HUGE suck up, obsessed with us and a bit ridiculous. When we first got him, i had to lull him to calm down and sleep because he had no off button.

Nero, 3 years old. He's from Romania! We wanted healthy non-mill bred petstore ferrets and you can tell. He's stocky and big. Feels so much sturdier than Marshal (petstore/mill ferrets) ferrets, as do the rest of our ferrets I'm gonna list. He's our little demon. He likes to cause problems but is always funny about it.

Lottie, 3 years old also, she came along with Nero, but is from Hungary originally. She's very bossy and wants to mother everyone but it gets the others frustrated with her and she gets mad that they don't listen to her. She's out biggest stasher. She's more withdrawn than the others but loves to be held over the shoulder and stroked.

Warboy/Nux, he's 2 years old! He's from the UK and is an extremely sweet boy. Everything is funny to him. He does a huffy laugh noise if he's not dooking about something. My fave thing about him is his big doe eyes.

Whiskey, 3 years old, also from the UK along with Warboy. She's insanely short and squat for some reason lmao. Holding out her hand to clip her nails is a chore because she only has so much arm to stretch out! Shes fussy and her and lottie tends to butt heads on who is the boss girl. Other than that, she loves to be throw into bedding or chased and will dook loudly in excitement!

Ofelia, she's from the states. She's half angora and we just got her. I need better pics of her because she grew out her coat for winter. It's soooo pretty! She just never stays still. She's also a bit more withdrawn as she prefers a calmer environment but loves to play with the other ferrets or being a lap ferret. She turns into a warm pillow on your lap.

Quinn. We got her the same time as Ofelia. She's a year old. She's the great granddaughter of a ferret we had that passed away a bit ago. And we see a lot of her in Quinn, it's so sweet to see. She loves being cozy in hammocks and has the silliest wiggle dance when she wants you to chase her. She also tries to stash our hands.

hey idk how to tell u this but the big cliffhanger in s1 isn’t the crew being separated it’s stede going out to find ed when ed has fallen so deep into heartbreak and self-loathing that he’s destroyed stede’s ship and split up their crew. the cliffhanger is about “how will ed and stede fix their relationship after stede broke ed’s heart and ed went off the deep end?”

bc what’s going on with the crew is not the main storyline. the main storyline is the romance between ed and stede, djenks has said this many times. the main plotline is the development of ed and stede’s relationship. the show didn’t “shove most of the characters into 1 minute scenes between much longer gentlebeard arcs” in 2.04, the crew was just part of the B plot that episode, which is to be expected because they are all side characters who are always in B or C plots if they’re not part of the plot with the main characters (ed and stede). the main A plot of 2.04 is ed and stede making up now that they’ve finally been reunited, and the show develops this storyline in a rewrite/adaptation/homage to the play who’s afraid of virginia woolfe.

it’s fine if u don’t like gentlebeard or if your main enjoyment from the show is izzy/the crew, but if that’s the case for you then unfortunately you’re always have a harder time enjoying ofmd bc the writing in the show is always going to prioritize gentlebeard over the other characters. the crew reuniting was always going to be much less important than ed and stede reuniting and making up. that’s what david jenkins meant when he said “the show is the relationship.”

I think your response is so emblematic of the shift the show went thru from season 1 to season 2- namely, that season 1 was an ensemble show and season 2 was not. Stede was the main character, yes, and he got more backstory and focus than a lot of the crew, but the story of the show in s1 was that it was a bunch of people with conflicting personalities shoved onto a boat together. Stede’s the center, but every other character gets focus as well. This show, by djenks own admission, was not originally intended to be a rom-com romance between stede and ed. He said that he didn’t commit to actually have them be together until filming season 1 episode 6- more than halfway thru the story of the first season, and that it was mainly due to rhys and taika’s acting that made him change it from an unrequited love to a relationship. So while the story is a lot about gentlebeard, saying that every other character is secondary to them and their romance isnt true.

I think a great example to bring up would be season 1 episode 7, the episode that solidifies (via lucius) that yes, this is happening. This is a very relationship heavy episode, but crucially gb isn’t the only focus.

Here's a breakdown: we start w a 1:00 gb scene, then roach comes in asking about the oranges, which leads to a 2:00 scene w the whole crew that sets up the episodes plot (swede has scurvy, we need to get more oranges). Jim protests going to st augustine, which is followed by a 1:00 scene between jim and olu, including a jim flashback. Stede and lucius return with the treasure map, there’s 1:30 more of the whole crew, then we go into the captains cabin for 1:00 of stede, ed, and lucius. 6 minutes into the ep flashes to the crew on land, a 0:50 conversation between jim and olu, then 2:00 of the whole crew, ending then nana invites them all to eat some cake at 8:15. We then go to stede, lucius, and ed in the marketplace until the 9 minute mark (abt 0:45), then back to the church where olu and jim talk to nana for 1:15, including more jim flashbacks. Back to the adventure w stede ed and lucius, which is 2 scenes back to back, totally about 3:00 (the “oh my god this is happening” scene). Then back to the church for jim olu and nana, a 1:00 jim flashback inside a 3:00 scene. Then back to the captains and lucius for 1:30, then to jim and olu, more jim flashback, then the a and b plots converge at the 2:30 mark when jim sees stede digging up their tree. Stede, ed, and lucius exit the scene after 1:30, jim and olu have a conversation for another 1:00. We see the crew leaving, then olu and nana talk, which all takes 2:00. Back on the boat, ed and stede become co-captains in a 0:45 scene, then the final 1:30 of the ep is izzy at jackie’s with 1:30 credits

Gentlebeard: 9:00, whole crew: 5:30, Jim and Olu: 11:35, Izzy: 1:30, credits: 1:30

I would say that s1e7 is the most overtly gb episode before the kiss in s1e9. But as you can see, it’s not just gb. There’s a lot of focus on jim, who gets multiple filmed flashbacks, there’s scenes w jim, olu, and nana, there’s scenes of the whole crew together, stede and ed are really only oncscreen together for abt 9 minutes- not even 1 third of the episode. And this is the ep that says directly to the audience “yes, they have a romance building”. I’m not trying to say w this that every member of the crew needs to b given equal screentime, bc that didn’t happen here obv, but everyone is doing something, and the plot is moving forward propelled by more than just the gb relationship.

Now this is very much changed in season 2.

S2e4 starts with 0:20 of stede waking ed up, then 0:45 of stede and the crew, 0:30 of ed and buttons, izzy’s w the unicorn for 1:00. The crew kick ed off the boat in a 1:15 scene. Now at the 2:25 mark we get to the plots splitting. Ed has a 1:15 scene on land, 0:45 is spent talking to a bunny. Stede and buttons find anne and mary’s antique store after 0:45 of walking. The scene in the antique porch is 2:15. Back to the revenge where there’s a 1:00 scene where wee john, roach, and pete talk about how the kraken crew, lucius, and izzy are different, and the kraken crew thinks they’re plotting to kill them. Already we go back to anne and mary’s where theres various conversations for 3:00. We go back to the revenge for a 0:45 scene where the revenge crew scare the kraken crew and lucius by trying to surprise them. Back to land, where anne and stede and mary and ed talk for 2:00. Back to the revenge for a 1:45 scene w the crews, izzy enters at the 1:00 mark and then crawls away. Well that’s that, we go back to the dinner on land for 1:00, then ed storms out and he and stede have a conversation on the couch for 2:15. Anne and mary reenter, followed by a 3:00 argument that ends with anne burning down the house and they don’t kiss for some reason. We have a 0:20 scene of the crew preparing the unicorn leg, izzy is in his room and received the leg in a 0:40 scene, and well it’s been a whole minute on the revenge, time to go back to ed and stede for 1:00, ed and buttons talk end when buttons turns into a seagull after 1:30. Ed and stede talk for 0:30, and then we end w izzy the new unicorn for 0:45. Credits are again 1:30.

Gentlebeard: 19:50, whole crew: 5:05, Izzy: 3:10, credits: 1:30

To illustrate my point, i made some graphs

You don’t even have to think very hard to see the change in distribution of screentime season 1 vs season 2. And i’d argue that this is absolutely to the show’s detriment, because that ensemble cast is given way less time to shine, grow, or even speak. Notice how for the second chart there isn’t a jim and olu section? Yea that’s cause Jim has 10 lines this whole episode, and Olu has 5. Two characters, whose relationship, backstory, and plot takes up more screentime than gentlebeard’s in season 1, have a combined 15 lines between them, only 4 of which are longer than 1 sentence- 2 for jim, 2 for olu, and those lines are two sentences long. god bless us every one.

I get that there’s a large subset of the ofmd fandom that only cares abt ed and stede. I get that that’s how u find enjoyment in the show, and u know what? All the power to u. I’m not saying stop liking the show, stop liking gentlebeard, stop caring abt these characters. I don’t like gentlebeard, but i used to, and i remember really really loving ed and stede and their relationship in season 1. That changed in season 2 because of ed’s abusive actions and stede pivoting from being an independent character to just basically following whatever ed says (but that’s a story for another day).

But let’s be honest with each other, and with ourselves: season 1 was an ensemble show. Season 2 narrowed its focus to gentlebeard, while also making it (for some people) harder to like. That’s why a lot of people (myself included) didn’t like season 2 as much as season 1.

Also, just to focus back in on the original issue, the meme was not about gentlebeard. It was about Anne and Mary. And there is literally no way you can convince me that they were used as well as they could have been, or that they were implemented into the story in a smart, necessary, or even respectful way.

"So, where are we going?" Matt asked me with a permanent smirk plastered on his face, making me resist the urge to roll my eyes again.

"I'm going to South End," I blandly responded, not really knowing why he was following me out of the school grounds.

"That's like a 45-minute walk," he stated, pausing his walking making me turn around to him with a permanent frown on my face.

"So?" I asked and he glanced up at the sky, his blue eyes being illuminated by the sun hidden behind the dark clouds.

"It looks like it's gonna rain," he once again stated the obvious and I gave no response as I turned around and began walking through the car park again, "At least let me drive you there."

"Don't you need to drive your fuckin’ brothers home," I mumbled, aggravated by his presence already.

"I'm sure Nate will drive them home," he replied as he jogged up to stand in front of me, stopping my movements, "I can just drop you off if you don't want me to go with you but you shouldn't walk in the rain. It will take like 5 minutes to drive there."

As he spoke, I felt patters of faint raindrops on my face. I regretted my decision to leave the shelter of the school but I sighed, looking up at him unimpressed before mumbling, "Fine."

He nodded triumphantly before spinning on his heels and I followed him as we walked to his car. I let out a snicker when I saw the car he was unlocking was a silver minivan, causing him to turn around with a playful frown on his face.

"Are you laughing at my ride?" he asked cockily and I shrugged as I felt the rain start to fall ever so slightly harder.

"Just didn't think you of all people would drive a fucking soccer mom car," I rounded the car to the passenger side, swinging the door open before jumping in. I let my bag fall to my feet as I closed the door while Matt hopped in the driver's seat, throwing his backpack in the backseat.

He started the car, immediately turning on the heater and plugging his phone into the aux cable. The soft sounds of a random rap song I didn't know played through the speakers as he put his seatbelt on. I slouched down into my seat, pulling the headphone out of my ear and sliding it into my pocket before pausing the music on my phone.

I realised the car wasn't moving and looked up to see Matt staring at me. I frowned again, looking at him in confusion before he said, "Are you gonna put your seatbelt on?"

"Oh. Right," I mumbled, grabbing the seatbelt and sliding it over my body, clicking myself in before he put the car in reverse. He put his hand on the back of my headrest, turning around as he spun the wheel slowly with his left hand. I slid to the right of the car further, his presence feeling bigger than it was in the small space of the car.

"You good to just tell me where to go?" he asked as he put the car in drive, driving towards the exit of the car park while I nodded in response, "You don't talk a lot, do you?"

"Nope," I answered shortly, earning a chuckle from him but I couldn't find humour in what I just said.

The next 5 minutes were spent in uncomfortable silence as I picked at the black nail polish on my fingernails, quietly telling him when to turn left or right until we reached the destination. We pulled up to the old house that I called my home and I unclicked my seatbelt, grabbing my bag off of the floor.

I turned to face Matt slightly, giving him an awkward nod before saying, "Thanks for the ride."

"No problem," he gave me a genuine smile back and I pursed my lips turning to open the door before I paused hearing him speak again, "Hey. If you ever need a ride, I'd be happy to drop you home."

"Why would you do that?" I asked, the words sounding more rude than I wanted them to but I kept the same composure as I turned my head to face him again, my body still towards the door.

He shrugged, biting his lip briefly, "No one likes walking in bad weather. And it's not a hassle so why wouldn't I?"

I gave an unsure nod back before mumbling, "Thanks."

With that, I jumped out of the car and closed the door behind me running towards the rickety front porch to cover myself from the rain. I grabbed my keys from the small pocket in my bag, unlocked the front door and stepped inside. I turned around to close the door, noticing that Matt had waited until I walked inside before he drove away. I closed the door, locking it behind me before I sighed, thankful that no one was home. I walked down the dark hallway on the right towards my room, opening the door before slamming it behind me.

I threw my bag next to my mattress on the floor, walking over to my desk and sliding the top drawer open. I slid my leather jacket off, throwing it onto my mattress before pulling out the small box that contained the already chopped weed I had prepared for myself the other day. I sat down on my windowsill, leaving the window closed while I quickly rolled myself a joint. I realised I was down to my last few rolling papers and reminded myself to go to the nearest smoke shop in the next few days.

Once I had the joint rolled, I placed the box back in my drawer before sliding it closed. I opened my window, staying seated on the windowsill as I lit the end of it. Pulled my phone out of my pocket, clicking play on my Foo Fighters playlist before placing the phone on the windowsill in front of me.

I bent my right leg up, placing my right elbow on my knee as I smoked the joint and looked out at the small patch of overgrown grass that was my backyard. I tapped my left hand on my thigh along to the drums of each song, the time passing quickly. Before I knew it, 15 minutes had passed and the joint was finished, the effects hitting me quickly as I smushed the lit end of the joint against the wall outside my window, throwing it onto the ground in the small pile that had accumulated over time.

Instead of staring at the wall like I did most days, I grabbed one of the few sketchbooks that had blank pages left and started sketching random thoughts and drawings on the page with the one pencil I had that was still usable. I made a mental reminder to also go to a dollar store and get myself a pack of pencils soon since I knew this one would soon run out of lead.

After scribbling all over the page, I closed the sketchbook and I heard the front door open. I sighed, hearing the heavy footsteps of my father storm down the hallway before the door of my bedroom swung open.

"Why is your window open?" he asked, a frown drawn on his face that I seemed to greet every time I saw him. He paused for a moment before huffing, "Did you smoke my weed again?"

"No," I answered quietly throwing my book and pencil back on the desk.

"Where did you get it?" he asked and I ran a hand through my hair, trying to sober myself up to have a conversation with him right now.

"Wes gave me some when I delivered to him last," I answered honestly and his frown only seemed to deepen, anxiety rising in my chest.

"Why didn't you give it to me? Who said that was for you, Layla?" he questioned stepping further into my room and I could smell the beer on him from 3 feet away.

"He said it was for me," I answered, letting my head fall as I waited for the inevitable screaming match that I was sure was about to happen.

"I'm going to Ollie's. I expect you to leave my weed on the counter by the time I get back," with the anger radiating off of him, he slammed my door shut making the window beside me rattle before I heard the front door slam just as aggressively.

I let out a breath of relief, my shoulders dropping from their tense position as I heard his car rumble out of the driveway. I didn't bother trying to tell him not to drive when he wasn't sober, it never ended the way I wanted it to. So instead, I took half the half-ounce Wes had given me and put it in a separate zip-lock bag to put on the counter for my dad.

I was asleep by the time my dad got home, making sure to lock my door before I fell asleep but as I was leaving the house to drag myself to school, I heard his snoring from his bedroom letting me know he had made it home alive, at the very least. As I entered the car park of the school, I noticed Matt's minivan pull into the parking space that he had parked in yesterday. I walked towards the entrance of the school before I heard my name being called.

I spun around to see Matt jogging towards me before he stopped in front of me, "Hey."

"Hi," I responded, a questioning tone behind my words and he smiled at me.

"I didn't know if you would come today," he said and I looked behind him, noticing both his brothers looking over at us with confusion written on their faces.

"Well here I am," I slid my hands into the pockets of my leather jacket, "I don't think your brothers like the fact that you're talking to me right now."

He turned around to look at them before he spun around to face me again with a shrug, "Who cares?"

"Clearly they're not the only ones," I tilted my head towards the people who were staring at us as they walked past. Matt glanced at them before rolling his eyes as I peered up at him, his black boots elevating him slightly more than his sneakers yesterday.

"Fucking Christ," he mumbled, running a hand through his hair before fixing his backpack that was falling off of his shoulder slightly. Since the air was colder today, he wore a white hoodie under his blue and white letterman jacket that I rarely ever saw him without.

"Wouldn't wanna ruin your reputation, Captain," I said sarcastically as I spun on my heel and entered the school. I felt more people looking at me than usual and I was sure another rumour had spread about me, resisting the urge to groan as I walked to my locker.

The bell rang and the halls were soon empty as I did my routine of grabbing the books I never used and made my way to my English class. I swung the door open, all eyes on me once again.

Mrs P barely acknowledged me as I closed the door behind me and started making my way to my usual seat before she spoke up, "Hood, Layla."

I closed my eyes briefly before sliding my hood off and I looked to the back of the class, noticing that the seat next to where I always sat, usually empty, was now filled with the familiar blue eyes and mop of brown hair.

I slumped into my seat, ignoring Matt's eyes pouring into me for the second day in a row. A couple minutes passed as Mrs P started talking about our project on Pride and Prejudice, zoning out since I had already read the book 2 years ago and I could easily write an essay on it.

I spent the rest of the lesson scribbling on a piece of paper and I was thankful Matt didn't try to talk to me even after the lesson ended. As the classroom filtered out, I grabbed my things and walked out of the classroom, noticing Matt following behind me with Chris close behind him.

i am so c o n f u s e d

ive been seeing u reblogging/talking abt the gilded age among a couple others of ppl I follow/talk abt JA and like............ITS LOOKS PRETTY. SEEEMS LIKE ITS A VICTORIAN ERA THING WHICH IS NICE. but but would it be as inapp as bridgerton?? I can just skip through fucking scenes so I can look at the prett dresses but if theres outright fucking itd be age inapp BUT I need smth to watch while crocheting and this seems like the perfect kinda trashy show to watch

so so as a person whos seen it like should i watch it or not? 😭😭

It’s set in 1882 in the first season and 1883 in the second! It’s very mild, in terms of sexual content. Clothed making out between George and Bertha Russell and then in the second season their son has an ill-advised fling with an older woman that results in them making out while fully clothed and a scene of them chatting in bed while under the covers. I think the most you see is Laura Benanti’s bare leg. ETA: there is a scene in the first season where one character tries to seduce another by being naked in his bed but he gets real mad and immediately makes her get dressed and leave.

It’s a lot of fun, but admittedly it’s fun for me for some very specific reasons. If any of these resonate with you, I’d give it a shot:

1) great costuming

2) nearly every contemporary Broadway star is there to chew on scenery, be witty, and wear hats

3) ridiculous gilded age nonsense where ultra-rich robber barons and “old money” New Yorkers fight over who gets invited to what party. The overarching plot of the second season is about the construction of the Metropolitan Opera House

4) neat subplots featuring genuinely cool female historical figures who accomplished an incredible amount given the societal constraints under which they existed. Last season there was a long subplot about Clara Barton founding the Red Cross and this season there’s a subplot about the female engineer who was actually responsible for constructing the Brooklyn Bridge instead of her husband

5) fantastic scenery

6) a look at the Black elite of New York at the time— a group I didn’t know much about until this show

7) Nathan Lane giving one of the strangest and funniest performances of his long and varied career.

8) on location shooting at big Gilded Age mansions in New York State and in Newport, Rhode Island. The house belonging to the character played by one of my fave Broadway prima donnas, Kelli O’Hara, is actually Lyndhurst House, the actual Gothic Revival mansion of actual Gilded Age robber baron Jay Gould.

9) an insanely high props budget that they use to buy such outlandishly delightful things as penny-farthing bicycles and magic lanterns

Is it a good show? Honestly, I don’t know if I can answer that question.

Is it great if you’re a musical theatre fan who enjoys being able to say, “oh my god that’s Douglas Sills from The Scarlet Pimpernel and Little Shop of Horrors playing the Russell’s chef!” Yes.

Thank you, @recentadultburnout, for tagging me and asking for my nine favorite TV shows! I might have gone a little overboard because I haven’t been tagged a lot before, but please indulge me.

This is going to be limited to QLs, if only because I couldn’t think of a single piece of Western (or straight) media I love and/or remember well enough to be able to put on this list. The ones I have chosen are below, in no particular order.

1. The Untamed

This one belongs here both for being a fantastic story and for being the reason I even discovered any of the other series on this list. My entire “obsessed with Asian queer media” thing started all because a friend once told me, “Let me show you what I’ve been watching recently.” What can I say, drunk Lan Zhan got to me.

2. Moonlight Chicken

One of the most beautiful, thought-provoking and mature series I’ve ever seen, QL or otherwise. P’Aof is a genius and I would have to hide in shame if I didn’t have at least one of his works on this list. He created a narrative of six real people trying to figure out life and how to be happy and there is so much strength in every single one of them.

3. Not Me

With at least three watchthroughs one of my most-watched BLs. I mean, OffGun and the social commentary and political action and the queerness of it all and the characters. Ugh, I love this show. Plus, the music and musical editing were phenomenal.

4. Where Your Eyes Linger

Probably my favorite Korean BL ever? Also the KBL to really get me into KBLs, so it already deserves a medal for that (I was missing out on so much). I’m a sucker for good yearning and forbidden relationships, and this series gave me everything I wanted. And, again, the soundtrack. The instrumental of See U playing as Kang Gook storms Tae Joo’s dad’s house lives rent-free in my mind.

5. HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count

Yes, it’s the other HIStory 3, the one everyone ignores because ‘he went out to buy salt’. Look, don’t judge me, I own up to my love for this series. It’s not the show’s fault all anyone ever remembers is the tragic ending. It’s also such a beautiful story about a total dork falling in love with a lonely nerd and defying all odds to be with him. Plus, the best sibling relationship ever. And (spoiler) said dork dying doesn’t invalidate everything else the series tells us. Yes, it was sad, but I can deal with the sadness. And sometimes, the sadness is as much part of a show as it is of life.

6. The Eclipse

This series haunts me to this day. I was obsessed with it, and I still am. Akk is one of my favorite characters ever written, and First portrayed him beautifully. So did Khaotung with Ayan. The sheer existence of P’Golf baffles my mind to this day. These 12 episodes gave me everything I’ve ever wanted.

7. The Eighth Sense

I take back what I said about Where Your Eyes Linger. This is my favorite KBL. I’m not even sure I can explain why. It’s just so honest. And so, so queer. It made me cry so many times, and the storytelling was magnificent. Plus, it’s one of the few full-length KBLs we have.

8. We Best Love

The cups in my profile picture are the ones Yu Zhenxuan and Pei Shouyi drink out of in the flashbacks of the second season, so... yeah.

This was my very first QL that wasn’t a bromance, and so I’m very biased. I’m almost mad at myself for making this my first one, because sometimes it feels like nothing else could ever live up to it. I admit to having a special love for season 1, even though season 2 seems to be the one people talk about a lot more. It’s just perfect, everything about it. Especially Gao Shide’s mom.

9. My School President

What a phenomenal show. I remember how much I was looking forward to Fridays during the time this was airing, and each week it gave me everything I wanted. Gemini and Fourth are fantastic actors, the friend groups made me cry all the time, it’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen, and there are some absolute bangers in there, musically speaking. Gun and Tinn will always have a special place in my heart.

Some honorable mentions because it’s really hard to pin down exactly nine:

Never Let Me Go – I spent a lot of time debating whether to put this or MSP in this list because I love them both equally. And because they aired around the same time, they are sort of irrevocably tied together in my mind.

Big Dragon – I loved this significantly more than I ever expected to, and I can’t be impartial about Yai to this day, because I love him with all my heart. This was such a messy, weird, chaotic show, and yet it somehow gave us such beauty and sappy people in love.

Step by Step – It doesn’t get to be on the list because it hasn’t finished airing yet, and so it could still fuck up, but if it keeps going like this, it is definitely going to become one of my favorites. (Same with Be My Favorite, honestly.)

I don’t know many people around here, and certainly not many I wouldn’t feel awkward tagging, but I’ll just be awkward anyway and kindly ask @ellaspore and @biochemjess if they feel up for it. I wanna know! (No pressure, though.)

silveredge is just the ship name for gin x fell! it was just the name that came naturally and i felt fit them :)

silverware specifically was because me and my friends were joking around that "lol cross has knives. gink cutlery animatic. silverware, get it?" and there it is LOL

the names for the ship kids (im assuming sterling and rust specifically) was just because i thought it fit them and the ship :p

top 10 kdrama bromances to feed your empty heart

#10 - our beloved summer : choi ung and kim ji ung

beautiful beautiful men choi woo shik and kim sung cheol played ung bros for life in this beautiful beautiful drama. one of the best handled love triangles ive seen. they were there for each other through thick and thin, and helped each other through sm. best. on the tenth spot because they could've expanded on it more :(

#9 - what's wrong with secretary kim? : lee young joon and park yoo sik

i could never make it through the series. i left it behind on ep9/10 i think, and primarily because i physically cannot digest how emotionless park min young is. BUT, kudos to the hilarious office best bromance by the great park seo joon and kang ki young. ps - why is kang ki young the pankaj tripathi of korean dramas?

#8 - strong girl do bong soon : ahn min hyuk and in gook du

can we ever forget the legendary wink? or the dream where min hyuk is dressed as a woman? i think not. this was more of a frenemy type bromance, united by their love for bong soon and ironically divided by it, too. i refuse to acknowledge this as a love triangle tho. bong soon was astronomical in not hurting gook du and i will not take any criticism. is it a bromance if one of them is pretending to be gay? (and no, we will not discuss any sort of iTs pRoBLeMaTiC debates here.)

#7 - tale of the nine tailed : lee yeon and koo shin ju

don't come at me with the lee rang comments. rang was his half brother, related by blood. their relationship was top tier, but the stay at home husband yeon and working husband shin ju was too cute to not be classified as a bromance. in the beginning, i saw their relationship as shin ju serving yeon, a dynamic that they both seemed to embody. but as the show progresses, yeon baby we know you love shin ju just as much :*

#6 - alchemy of souls : jang uk and seo yul

song joon ki seems to have an attachment to bromances. han seo had the best character arc of the ENTIRE kdrama universe fight me. that court scene where vincenzo pats han seo's cheek was max bro cuteness. still not over his death. he deserved better.

#5 - vincenzo : vincenzo cassano and jang han seo

even though i didn't very much like the show's first couple, bromance delivered well. hospital scene peaked, complete true beauty sameness. it was pretty hard to understand who was the superior officer in this tbh initially, since their comraderie was so cool, shi jin was kid to soldier in a split second. loved how they chose not to unnecessarily exaggerate the love triangle initially bec i was only rooting for the second couple.

#4 - descendants of the sun : yoo shi jin and seo dae young

business proposal was the first kdrama i saw. i finished it in a three day trip, and i remember thinking more about the bromance than the romance. i was NOT used to the clumsiness of kdramas in general, like wattpad fics incarnated. the bromance delivered well, made me root for the second couple, and was the only initial indicator of kang tae moo being human instead of archaeopteryx. that word was a nightmare to spell.

#3 - business proposal : kang tae moo and cha sung hoon

the most wolfstar bromance if I ever saw one. and NO, i do not ship wolfstar just like i do not ship these two. they are totally adorable, and specially since their personalities seemed to switch from when they were children. yeong turned all serious face and lee gon got fun. love their years of friendship sm, their wordless communication and yeong in general. the acting was amazing.

#2 - the king - eternal monarch : lee gon and jo yeong

#1 - guardian - the lonely and great god : kim shin aka goblin and wang yeo aka grim reaper

yes, i know I'm missing a lot of iconic ones. unfortunately, i haven't seen alot of kdramas and have left alot in bw (like true beauty bec i couldn't see second lead hurt).

spring onion slays ^

told ya, if u follow me u already knew what the first one was gonna be. being the simp i am for the goblin and grim reaper, these two achieved the max points for their bromance. that slow dynamic of goblin calling reaper's hat tacky to fighting with knives to that iconic 'saranghae' to 'HOW DARE YOU' to goblin boiling eggs with his powers while reaper chills the beer. they know each other so well. love love love them and you should too 🔪

in my heart, the trio of our boys beats nothing (except for the gookdu-minhyuk relationship of the crown prince and uk). but instead of choosing the frenemy thing, i decided to love yul and uk more. yul was such a quiet character, with incredible potential in him for me to hate him, but then...(the guy is literally too sweet and beautiful and nice i can ramble for days). and uk, man, our power baby who loves every version of our beautiful but slow girl, needed so much emotional support. uk and yul were not afraid to show their affection for each other, a trait i admired in all the three boys (jang uk, seo yul and park dang gu).

TSITP 2x07 & 2x08 : Leaks

I found the "leaks" for episode 7 and 8.

Here (Not everything is in the right order apparently) :

Laurel comes, she knew about the situation of the house ownership so Conrad and Steven get pissed at her. But she thought that Susannah had figured out something before she passed.

They take Conrad to go take his exam

Conrad sees Belly and Jere kiss

“So you wanna be with Jeremiah? So you’re just doing this to catch my attention” “Its not about you”

“Belly, which one of us is a better kisser?”

They argue, Conrad super petty (as he should be idc)

Conrad “go to Jeremiah” thingy

They go to a motel, and three of them sleep in the same bed, light shines on Belly and Conrad

Flashback to Susannah, Belly’s mom tells her she doesn’t have much time left

Susannah tells Belly to take care of Conrad

Milo releases new music and wrote a diss album about Steven

Steven and Taylor talk about how they’re finally glad Belly fixed things with ‘him’, but they were talking about two different people lmao (Steven = Conrad, Taylor = Jeremiah) it was like a “wait who are u talking about moment? I’m talking about —“ moment

Steven and Taylor fight about who’s better for Belly on their first date. Steven being team Conrad vs Taylor being team Jeremiah.

Steven says that Conrad is better, because he challenges and sees the best part of her. He defends what he did during prom.

They agree its up to Belly whoever she chooses

“I can’t believe we’re spending our first date arguing” “Oh c’mon Taylor, arguing is what we do’ “not always” she leaves

Conrad says of course I still want you to belly.

Jeremiah and Conrad talk, Jeremiah tells him to tell belly to tell her he loves her.

Laurel and belly talk over the phone. She ask her mom when she knew when she didn’t love her dad anymore. “I want you to have lots of lovers before you settle for one person”

Belly approaches Jeremiah, he thinks that she chose Conrad but she kisses him with xo playing in the background

Belly and Conrad talks, She tells him she chooses Jere. Exile plays.

“Goodbye Conrad”

Conrad lets them go together and just tell them to drive safe

Conrad goes back to Beach house and set him Belly’s room, putting back junior mint and glass unicorn

Taylor and Steven makes up after she bails on him.

Taylor and Steven end up together, “this weirdo confessed to me” bickering like a married couple

The season ends with them watching Taylor and Belly volleyball game, Jeremiah shows up with her and Taylor goes all ‘team jellyfish” lmao

Belly does a little speech trying to get back into the volleyball

The last line of the season is the one in the trailer and book, “the future is unclear, but it’s still mine.”
