Merry Christmas!
Tumblr media
And an early happy new year, since I'll be traveling at that time and won't be able to post anything. Sorry for the long disappearance. I wish I had some exciting excuse like being abducted by the fae or becoming a spy, but really I've just been going through a lot and haven't been drawing much. Here are a couple of fantasy style Klausen (or maybe the more widely recognized Krampi) by way of apology. I hope you all have been good this year.

anyways unrelated but does anyone else get that tight, sad feeling in their chest when they remember friendships that are no longer with them? like romantic breakups are easy for me, but damn, i sure do take platonic friendship breakups hard despite my best attempts not to

When Bradley was a kid and Mav was away on assignment, Mav would always call home at any opportunity. Carole and Goose always did this too obviously, but whenever Carole asked Bradley if he wanted to talk to his dad, Bradley often said no because he’d just start to cry and miss his dad even more when hearing his voice. After Goose dies and Mav steps in, he too starts doing the phone calls.
Carole and Mav always talk first, before she asks if Bradley wants to talk to Uncle Pete before they hang up, and Bradley always says yes to talk to his uncle. He always makes sure to tell his uncle that he loves him before hanging up. If he doesn’t say it, he feels guilty or like something bad might happen. Like it’s important uncle Pete knows he loves him, just in case.
Though he only does this when Mav is on assignment, and he continues to do it untill The Pulling Of The Papers.

also, before i fall asleep i thought of astarion trying to cheer mal up by making a massive list of all the ways they could kill her mother's murderers. he just.. starts naming them, brainstorming, coming up with more violent and more vicious methods. it kinda works.
also, might be a good time to let him know how she lowkey tapped into the revenge fantasy aspect of it all when he was stabbing cazador 28 times

Challenged my friend to draw the glamrocks and the told me I had to do the same

Can you tell Roxy and Monty aren't my favorites of the main cast ;;-;;
I spent waaayyy too long trying to figure out how to make Roxy not look ugly, I draw furries so much, but Roxy was pain, and so was Monty. They have really cool designs too, but I think because of my distaste for them it's harder to draw them
Chica's beak was a pain in the ass cause I've hated drawing bird's beaks in front view since I understood the concept of what a bird is. Love Chica tho she is bae

I keep feeling like I should find the boys (the show) cringey or bad but then end up being pleasantly surprised. and like the show is not perfect by any means and there are definitely things to cringe at, but I keep expecting it to take a very wrong turn and it doesn’t. and like I might just have very large blind spots that I’m not aware of, but I think part of the reason why is because while the show is very concerned with the current cultural moment (which makes it prone to dating itself very quickly), it avoids trump entirely. like he’s just not in the show at all. they address the political response to him while removing him from the equation

After listening to TMA (I'm on episode 55), I find myself zoning out while Jon (or Gertrude in one case) is reading the statement. Idk why. But I tune back in when the statement ends, and he's either talking about it/giving a supplement. Then the next episode will start, and I'll tune out again until he goes to talk about it again. It's not even that I've burnt myself out on it, I haven't! I want to listen to it, but it's like my brain shuts off when an archivist is giving a statement! I know i need to pay attention because a lot of the stories connect, and I know from the statements in s1 that they further the plot. But I can't focus on things that my brain doesn't deem "important" enough to the main plot. It's frustrating. Between episode 50-55, episode 55 is the only one I remember listening to. I'm frustrated, but I'm gonna keep trying.

Last Written Line Tag Game
Rules: share the last line you wrote in your WIP and then tag as many people as there are words on it.
I was tagged by both @nemo-of-house-hamartia and @thatcrazycrowgirl (thank you, ladies!💕). I guess I really have no excuse to wiggle myself out of this one! Suddenly, the thick wall of black smoke split apart, revealing the three men who stumbled out of the blazing building arm in arm and collapsed onto the pavement as a loud explosion boomed behind them, raining with fiery embers, glass, and splintered wood.
And as usual, I’ll break the tagging rules here and simply hope that some of my followers might want to do this. If that’s the case - consider yourself tagged!

“In July, the ‘most Serene Queen of England’ received, along with Henry wedding congratulations from the Venetian Doge, who informed her she would be visited by the ambassador Zucato to deliver this same message in person. Although Zucato was carefully instructed as to how he was to present himself at the court of Henry VIII, there is no record of Jane having an audience with him.
In essence, any desired intervention into politics by the Queen or her ambitious family, to assert herself in any political role was denied her by the king who seems consistently to have ‘boxed’ her into a very passive, ‘silent partnership’. The ultimate definition or image of Jane’s limitations came in the form of threat from Henry in October 1536:
During the rebellion of the northern Counties, the Pilgrimage of Grace, Jane is reputed to have begged her husband to restore the abbeys under suppression for she “...said to the king that perhaps God had permitted rebellion for ruining so many churches, to which he replied by telling her to attend to other things, reminding her [of] the last queen....”
She had indeed watched and been part of the process that judicially murdered Anne Boleyn for the satisfaction of the king; Jane Seymour knew full well that Henry was very capable of removing her should she give him cause to do so. There is reason to wonder how this moment became public knowledge, [however], if one reviews the [evidence], Jane had for five months made repeated attempts to interfere [in political concerns] and was consistently placed into another role by [Henry VIII]. After five months Henry himself determined the end of her attempts by pointedly reminding her where own position originated; after October 1536, Jane Seymour did indeed tend to other things and limited her exercise of authority to the female realm of the Queen’s chambers.
For her party at court Jane Seymour was probably not the diplomatic success they had hoped for: the king withheld that power from the Seymour faction. They rose in rank and favor without her help although she was possibly, until she bore the redemption of a male heir, a disappointment to them politically.”
Jane, The Quene (Pamela M. Gross)
