Toby Fox composed many songs for the webcomic Homestuck; created by Andrew Hussie. The comic started in 2009, and Toby joined a forum for the comic. He emailed Hussie and requested to join the private music team forum. He included a sample of his music in the email. Toby was immediately added to the forum. that the Good-Frisk & Kris are In-Game Players, not us the Player that lives outside the Universe of Undertale and Deltarune.

the In-Game Player lives in a world, where their world is more connected to both Undertale and Deltarune than ours is, so their red soul ends up in Frisk, who's true self is cold heart apathetic human child who in the true timeline they are from when they start in Hard Mode Route, they ended up with a lot of LV...

the In-Game Player that becomes the Good-Kris, they at some point like Frisk did, had to share control of their body with the Outer-Game Player...

the strings that connects In-Game Player/Frisk & Chara's Souls together, as well as In-Game Player/Kris and the Turquoise Souls.

the Turquoise Soul could turn out to be a Artificial Soul that was made to inhabit Kris's body before the In-Game Player ends up being placed into Kris's body, even after we the Outer-Game Player try to make a Vessel for the In-Game Player.

Turquoise Soul Kris, could be good and keeps to themself, and doesn't pull the same pranks as the Original True-Kris...

the reason why Kris has to share with with a In-Game Player Soul,

Chara could be very aware about the true nature of the original Frisk, since they saw them turn monsters to dust in the Hard Mode Route.

and unlike the Outer-Game Player, who didn't get to leave the Ruins...

True-Frisk did and they kept turning monsters into dust as they kept through the underground until they got to the King's Castle.

and for the whole Paradox thing, before True-Frisk could do any harm to the King, they are stop by Gaster who then takes them to the secret true lab that at some point ends up between time & space...

and when the Good-Frisk ends up in that lab, they end up seeing their reflection in one of the rooms, but it isn't their reflection, it's them or rather it's the Original-Frisk, who is too dangerous and has too high of LV to be let free into the world of both the underground and surface.

Alphys might not know that the secret true lab is in between time & space, and may be connected between Undertale and Deltarune's World...anyway the story that involves The Dealernut AU, might end up being in a long hiatus, and I can take my time on it and it doesn't need to be a long story, plus I kind of want to add other worlds into it along with Undertale and Deltarune, like Steven Universe for one.

And I am very very slowly (because my laptop is old and I have limited dexterity) playing undertale for the first time under Kiddo's direction

I had watched a play through of undertale years ago but it's been a long time

Thoughts so far (just got to temmie village for ref)

I need to take a moment here to really, REALLY appreciate Toby fox's characters and writing. Having such a big, popular indie creator who's also so LGBTQ-positive (not gonna pretend it's any of my business wether he's One Of Us or just an absolutely banger ally) means a lot to so many of us - especially since he's in a position where he doesn't have to worry about corporate censoring and having to fight to have his story told the way he wants or to include intended representation.

'Would they ever be brave enough/able to make this wlw/mlm ship canon?' isn't even a question with his work - more just 'is this intended as romantic or simply a really beautiful, well rounded and full-of-heart friendship?' (best example that comes to mind here is sans and toriel, a m/f pair lol)

And the amount of nonbinary characters!!!! We've seen so many examples of characters who use they/them, one of which who uses no pronouns at all in-game (seam), and even someone who seemingly uses they/it! (That being chara). And ofc mettaton and mew mew's stories being pretty clear examples of binary trans characters...

The fact that this feeling of normalcy even extends to poly relationships is absolutely staggering to me, and so, so rare in any kind of media. @determinators' recent post went into a lot less detail with this kinda thing but to just to reiterate: there were several example of poly relationships being normalised in the sweepstakes and one in cyber city, and then on top of that we have the knowledge that homestuck (which Toby contributed to) had a canon poly relationship be endgame, and then there's Asgore's whole.... Situation. (There's hints towards him and Rudy, but he also seems FULLY intent on trying to win toriel back and Rudy apparently still loves his wife and doesn't seem headed towards divorce currently, y'know?) The fact that it's now POLY relationships that people are questioning if they could really happen in his games (with the possibility being real!) is... Really cool!

Anyway tldr I guess: I love that we don't need to question lgbtq representation in undertale and deltarune - we know it's something we're getting constantly and all the time regardless of if characters are in relationships or not, and it always feels so genuine, fleshed out and full of heart. The fact that there's kids out there getting to grow up with Toby's work is so, so important to me.

I think there’s a huge misconception in the Deltarune fandom that anyone who thinks Ralsei is suspicious, thinks that he’s evil, and anyone who thinks that he’s evil, thinks that he can’t be a soft fluffy boy.

Spoilers for Deltarune and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

I think Ralsei is suspicious, but not evil. People can keep secrets or not tell you the full truth without being a villain. There’s only two chapters of Deltarune out. Even if Ralsei is keeping secrets, it could be for a very good cause. And given that it’s implied Ralsei knows of our existence, that’s probably at least part of the big secret he’s keeping. And honestly, I don’t blame him. If you were Susie, or Lancer, or anyone else, how would you feel if you found out you were actually a character in a video game?

I also think that when people hear the idea of “Ralsei is secretly evil”, they think of “moustache-twirling, serious-crime-committing, never-actually-soft-and-fluffy” evil. But there are different types of villains. Toby Fox is a genius, and I doubt that he’d do the Disney Twist Villain thing where his personality does a complete 180 upon revealing his true intentions. If Ralsei was to be evil, he could very well retain his original cutesy personality, while doing harmful things. Maybe Ralsei doesn’t think that whatever evil things he’s doing is wrong, or maybe he’s more morally grey then straight up evil. Either way, he can still be sweet and adorable.

I think if Ralsei was evil, he would be evil in the same way Kyubey from Madoka Magica is evil. In fact, Ralsei reminds me a lot of Kyubey. They physically look similar, both reveal crucial information when it’s convenient for them (i.e. the Roaring), and they’re both ridiculously adorable. I can’t be sure, but I think it was confirmed (or at least implied) in Rebellion that Kyubey only appears as a cat-like creature; there are quite a few hints that Ralsei is actually a shape-shifted. Given all the anime references in both Undertale and Deltarune, I would not be surprised if Ralsei turned out to be a full on expy of Kyubey. I wouldn’t be surprised, but I would love it with my whole heart.

TL;DR - Ralsei Suspicious =/= Ralsei Evil. Ralsei Evil =/= Ralsei Isn’t Adorable. Please don’t attack people for their theories and/or opinions.

It was quiet so they began chatting about their days.

(At around 18.15 pm)

A nurse rushed into her office  

"Emergency! Dr. Ophelia we need you! Two monsters arrived one of them needs medical attention immediately!"

Ophelia  waved at him and ran "See ya later Harvey! (Papyrus's nickname) ".

He waved back. He prayed that whoever was here, would get well soon.

She entered the room, her heart clenched. She couldn't recognize their face.

Their bones were covered in rash, blisters, cracks, blood. Their left ulna and radius were cracked. The way it looked, indicated fall.

Their neck, face and sternum were covered in a mass of huge blisters. Their skull had swollen, making them unrecognizable.

She couldn't see their eye sockets, nose or mouth. They were that bad.

In all her years, she had to face quite shocking emergencies; this was no exception.

Their breathing was ragged almost inaudible.

She noticed some twitching in their fingers. Blood and magic oozed, soaking the sheets under their body.

They were laying naked on the surgical table. Save for a fabric over their pelvis (that was soaked in blood, fluids and magic too).

Ophelia run to their side and threw a quick glance "prepare anesthesia".

"Their stats are quite low, like really low, I'm afraid to use complete anesthesia" Lilian mentioned while putting on his gloves.

"Then we are going to lower the potency. We will add local anesthesia." Ophelia informed as she put on her gloves and the nurses finished dressing her.

They nodded and got ready.

"Agatha, you and I will start with the face and neck okay? Lilian, Hermione you take care of the ribs, do the best you can. The rest stay close for assistance".

They nodded.

Few stood on the left side and the others on the right side.

They prepared all the necessary tools and began action.

They added some medicine in the IV.

Each doctor and nurse took a hold of a special injection. They lined up.

When they found a spot that was visible they injected the anesthesia.

They therefore used a special antiseptic gel to pat the blisters in all of the patient's body.

Some seconds passed and the blisters broke / popped; fluid, blood and magic oozed.

She checked their stats. The stats were falling. "Nurse?! The HP! Inject the light green medicine in the IV!" the nurse nodded and did what she was told.

The HP stopped going down. It went a little up.  

Ophelia looked at Agatha, "Agatha, clean the face, do what you can. I'll check the neck". Agatha nodded.

Ophelia moved on to the neck. She began inspecting and cleaning.

As she was cleaning she noticed a spot that looked quite different. She frowned and leaned closer to inspect.

She gently touched it. She pushed and removed fluids and a stinger.

She put it in a special case to look at it later. They checked their soul beat. Steady. The doctors added more medicines in the IV.

As she was cleaning, she looked at Lilian and Hermione that were cleaning the sternum.

The rest  of nurses  took care of the hands, legs and offered assistance when needed; just as they were told.

She noticed that the patient was leaking a lot. No matter how much the doctors were cleaning them; the fluids, clotted magic and blood kept coming.

Ophelia was checking their statistics many times.

Ophelia looked at a nurse "Daniella, please keep injecting a small dose of the light green medicine. It will keep their statistics steady". Daniella nodded.

Daniella kept doing that when Ophelia ordered her.

Ophelia and Agatha switched works. Ophelia began cleaning the face and Agatha the neck.

Hermione and Lilian the ribs, some nurses the hips.

She repeated the procedure; they used an antibacterial gel and gently patted it on the patient's body to prevent infection.

As they were working; the patient's body arched upwards.

Ophelia and the rest stopped what they were doing; anesthesia was wearing off.

The poor soul; let out ragged, choked breaths and gurgling sounds.

Their soul beat got higher. Their choked anguished groaning of discomfort broke the doctors's heart.

Ophelia with a gloved hand,  caressed their collarbone and spoke as softly as she could.

"Hey, it's okay! I know! The difficult part is almost over! It's okay, ssshh" She motioned to Daniella and pointed to the IV.

Daniella nodded and injected sedatives and painkillers in the IV.

"You are a pretty strong skeleton!Now I want you to relax! We are here to help you, don't worry! You are in good hands" Ophelia's voice was soft, comforting.

Their movements calmed down and went slack. Their soul beat had calmed down.

"Pretty good! I'll just clean your face now yes?" there was no reply.

Their chest rose and fall softly. They twitched their fingers.

"Was someone else with them?" she asked as she continued cleaning.

Hermione replied "Yes, another skeleton. They teleported here with him on their arms. They begged desperately that we will help him. We assured them that we will do what we can. They are waiting outside".

She nodded, too focused on her work.

It took hours (around 4) to clean their body.

Eventually they could see,

who they,

Who he was.

Ophelia's eyes widen..

Her hands trembled...

Today I saw a post about writing the name of your blog with the first letters of song titles and that sounded fun. The rules are to do it in a new post and you’re also supposed to tag people or something but I’m not doing that.

As additional personal rules I didn't use the same source twice and only used things if I could remember at least some of what they sounded like. I did look up lists of songs I thought I'd be familiar with though (eg, looking up the Bastion soundtrack to remind myself what titles were in there). Also I decided not to use any songs starting with A or The because I didn't feel like making a call on whether they could be skipped and they didn't start with K anyway.

Round brackets (parenthesis) in the artist half of the song list indicate names of video games. For over half of them I had to look up the actual people. Also, even if it's not from the game I put it there if there's a specific game with the song in it that I strongly associate with the song.

Square brackets indicate whatever I want them to indicate.

Finding two K songs was a struggle. Like, why is the famous Flowering Knight remix called "Night of Knights / Knight of Nights" instead of the other order? I could've really used that one. My "know what it sounds like" rule blocked the use of Kairi from Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, Knight to C Sharp from Crypt of the Necrodancer, Knight Man Stage from Megaman 6, and Killing in the Name Of from Guitar Hero 2 (yes, I know it's not "from Guitar Hero 2", but that’s why I’m familiar with it). I guess I used another Crypt of the Necrodancer song for the other K so forgetting Knight to C Sharp didn't make a difference.

Honorable mentions to "Twister" - Takeharu Ishimoto (The World Ends With You), "Setting Sail, Going Home" - Darren Korb (Bastion), and "Wellerman" - The Longest Johns. Also, earlier versions of this list included "Canon in D" - Pachabel and "Roundabout" - Yes, but I wanted to stick with somewhat shorter songs in case I felt like putting together a Youtube playlist so I could put it on and listen to the whole thing or something. I like it when individual songs don't steal the whole show. I'd consider skipping the Kirby theme song if I did put it together as well.

Somewhat amusingly, I notice that I don't know what anything sounds like in the list of the person I copied this from (notahorseindisguise). I've maybe heard New Invention once, but from that group I pretty much only listen to "Leave Me Alone" and "Do It All The Time" and I don't remember any other songs. I'd probably like others but I don't have much of a habit of actively seeking new music.

...in fact, looking over everyone else's answers in the post I linked, I think there are only 3 songs I recognize as something I've heard, total. "Dragula", "YMCA" (although not specifically as played by their pep band), and maybe "Everybody Talks" (literally the words "Everybody talks, everybody talks, everybody talks" come to mind sung a specific way, but I have no memory of what the rest is like). Also, why so many in one thread? Did I maybe misinterpret the rules when they said "Make a new post"?

Hobbies/interests:

I really like my creative hobbies. More often than not I'm sewing, sculpting, drawing, etc. I also really enjoy those really long video essays on video games and such but I also listen to more political stuff when I can handle it. When my anxiety is less obnoxious I like to take walks in the middle of the night- I can go outside and be completely alone with my thoughts (and my maladaptive daydreaming lol). I do a lot of writing about fiction and only actually write fiction sometimes. Ideas are always more complete in my head and I can’t do them justice in meatspace. I do a lot of armchair philosophy but it’s all probably just something I regurgitate forgetting somebody else said it first and better. You will literally never see me without my earbuds in regardless if anything is playing in them. On that note I can’t play an instrument or compose or anything but I want music to swallow me whole like a snake.

Me about myself:

I think I’m weird but I don’t particularly care that I’m weird. I hate that other people think I'm weird and guilt me for having genuine interests? My self esteem isn’t great but as I’m getting better at being an adult I feel less like a fish flopping around on the floor. I feel like I’m never going to have a proper self concept because something is always changing and I can’t keep up with that. The self hatred is mental subtext instead of text, ya feel? I want to say something in a way only I can say it, like perfect a message in a way only my art could portray it. It would be a cool thing to have a legacy even though it’s totally meaningless. Like, if somebody thought about me the way I think about Toby Fox I’d feel like I succeeded. Local strider kinnie. All of the striders. Every iteration. In middle school I was obsessed with Dave and now (college) I'm obsessed with Dirk. It’s The Existentialism. Spice that with a little Jake English style social awkwardness. My problematic trait is thinking empathy is a conspiracy (I’m ((probably)) just on the spectrum). I have serious self-control issues and will eat a whole cake by myself. I reread homestuck in less than a month and barely managed to get my assignments in because I hyper fixated so hard.

Others about me:

When I was younger I was the scapegoat of my friend group, like the Tavros to someone else’s Vriska. Classic page behavior. Now that I’m older I’m mostly just super reserved because I got burned so bad I can’t take positive feedback. I have one friend who tells me that I’m super talented and cool and shit and I feel so weird about it. He’s not flirting with me or anything, he's just a genuinely good dude. I feel dirty and evil existing in his presence. I’ve also been described as a cryptid in the past. “Quiet and kind of scary until you open up then you’re unhinged” “Mad scientist” “Introverted artisan” (this person then called me out on “looking for that passing validation” and he was right but I hate it lmao) (the conversation has gone on and I am now realizing he is. Talking about trans shit,,,, which is also right and I hate it) (I’m literally going to copy paste this next one it’s too good) “You’re the type of dude that gets dragged on for the ride tho… the one that’s like ‘maybe we shouldn’t be breaking into a haunted house’ in the movies” “You’re not the Lame little piss baby that they drag around , you’re the one that’s there cuz someone wants to hand the white boy a blunt and see you take a large chuff” (oh my god he’s such a gem lol) “You’re still also a dork and I’ll probably still label you as gay boy mentally tho”

How I interact with people:

I keep forgetting I can’t just rely on my imaginary friends to meet my social needs so I go bug one or two people for a few weeks before I start feeling like it’s too risky because if I go too hard I'll burn out and hate them or something. If you know someone too well it’ll break any infatuation (platonic) you have with them. The thing with characters is that they learn and grow with you in your mind, like a family member that will only hate you if you’re having an off day. Tldr I’m scared of other people because intimacy and honesty about things is Not My Style. All of my secrets keep spilling out whenever somebody gives me crumbs and then I regret it and like. Soft ghost them? I recently ditched a group of friends and while I feel guilty about it I was in a kind of codependent relationship with one of them and I needed out. I tried to force myself to be more open and loving and shit but I was totally repulsed by myself and them by the end of it. Anyway if I could just like, have a good friend and feel comfortable with them and Mean It that would be pretty sweet. Unsure if I’m aromantic or just scared of vulnerability and commitment of any kind. I want to be helpful and cool and reciprocal to the people I care about but I feel like I’m lacking in anything I could use to help them- they always need something I can’t give them. When I help it starts coming off as patronizing.

What do i value:

My inner world is what’s keeping me alive. See in there I'm not really obligated to bend to expectations (which are usually pretty reasonable I think, I just don’t like them) and I can live out the fantasy of Being Loved without needing to be vulnerable. They’re in my head of course they know me I don’t need to tell them anything. Politics are important but I mostly listen to other people talk about it. I'm really burnt out with the state of the world. I think finding some kind of reason to live and love in the meaninglessness of it all is really really important, I'm just bad at it. I just kinda wanna live in the abstract and undefinable because everything is like that, but people have to put things into categories and words to understand them. Having a body to take care of and whatnot is a curse. I honestly forget I have one because i’m so zoned into whatever it is that I'm thinking about.

Ideal self:

In an ideal world I get over all of my pseudo intellectual bs and just like. Feel my feelings. Enjoy being with people and making little trinkets. I might actually be less aware of what other people think of me and I could just say things without feeling like every bit of it was silly or pointless. I would be able to accept positive feedback instead of thinking everybody was lying to me. I’d also understand on a fundamental level that other people are real, actual, intelligent beings and we just communicate very differently. If I could be comfortable in my place in the world and not panic because it doesn’t matter I’d celebrate that instead. Nothing matters but with sunglasses this time. In theory every little thing means something, but sometimes I don’t need to know what it means, Y’know? Knowing just puts more weight on my shoulders and makes me an anxious goddamn wreck. I would be able to take action without other people nagging me to do something with myself.

Bonus stuff that I think is relevant:

I’m scared shitless of most “voidy” stuff, like the dark and just like, the concept of oblivion. My worst fear is my mind completely slipping off into nothing. Caves, oceans, etc- they all scare me. I considered space for a long time because of my creativity but I literally have sensory processing disorder and while I think a space player who lacks spatial awareness is funny I don't think that’s all that viable. I think I have a lot of knight hallmarks but really I'm way too outwardly cowardly and self serving to think I deserve that title? Idk im just spitballing now i'm so sorry for ranting.

I’m just thinking about this right now because I’m seeing Undertale and Deltarune on my dash but like

As a teen I was (gasp) a filthy Homestuck fan. And all the pathetic shit that came with it. I loved the Striders and Karkat and Nepeta. I loved the weird and random and crazy storytelling and the simple replicable art style.

Most of all, though, I loved the music.

Weird part to like about it I guess, but gosh is Homestuck’s music awesome. I’m the type of person who needs background noise at All Times, and at one point that led me to listening to Homestuck’s soundtracks as I did chores.

I’d notice, “Huh. This ‘toby “Radiation” fox’ dude shows up a lot.” And that apparently stuck with me. Because when I heard there was a game coming out with music by toby fox, and the game itself made by him too? I immediately needed to see this game.

To say Undertale is important to me is a major fucking understatement. I love all of the characters. All of them. The music is, of course, absolutely gorgeous. The game is both hilarious and heartwarming.

And this was my first game with a nonbinary protagonist. Or any other nonbinary character (which there are a few others). This was when I was just figuring out that I was nonbinary (you can imagine how I flipped when I found out ‘there’s a word for that feeling!?’) and my character(s) and other characters being referred to as they and them with absolutely no fanfare...it meant a lot.

And the characters? I really can’t talk about how much I love them. Toriel is my mom in my heart. I have made her Butterscotch Cinnamon Pie and it makes me so happy. Napstablook is just the friggin cutest and their shy awkwardness was so relatable I love them. Sans and Papyrus can always make me laugh. Sans got my lore-brain spinning and Papyrus was always there and always supportive. Monster Kid is the most precious little doof and they deserve the world. Undyne is a fucking badass and when she realizes you aren’t awful she is just the most fun to be around. Temmie is great (and also check her animations out on Youtube she’s so frickin cute and amazingly talented just do yourself that favor) and the music reminds me of Rugrats for some reason. Alphys is a fucking weeb with social anxiety and boy do I ever relate to that. Muffet has the coolest design and one of the more challenging and fun battles and she’s just so gorgeous to my love of the gothic lolita aesthetic. Mettaton is a fucking romp. That reveal of the EX form is magnificent. Asgore--I admit I’m not the biggest fan of him, but I always felt bad for him. He was a good guy trying to do what’s right for his people and it was hard and it hurts that you have to fight him (also that was a fucking twist gotdam).

And Asriel...my frickin baby. He is my brother and I love him. I just want to give him hugs and snuggles and pet his head and make everything better and just ow my heart.

This man, this dog, made a whole-ass game. Not alone, but like, he did so much of it.

And he just keeps frickin going.

When Deltarune came out as a “Survey Program” I downloaded it and was blown away. I cannot tell you how much I loved it. I fell in love with Seam and I listened to The World Revolving and every possible remix on loop.

(Unfortunately I haven’t played Chapter 2 yet because right after I got Chapter 1, my computer died!

and the executive dysfunction didn’t help either. But I’ll get to it I swear)

AND THEN

So I hate SWSH for a number of reasons, (*coughdexcough*) but Pokemon has always been part of my life. And while not the best song in the soundtrack (which is Battle! Gym Leader and you can fight me on that) his contribution, the Battle Tower Battle Theme, is a bop and I love it.

AND THEN A-FUCKING-GAIN

I legitimately CANNOT WAIT for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and to have toby’s music in my ear while my Fidough wrecks everyone with it’s Flower Power.

And then on top of this, this fucker plays into the meme culture because of course he does

He just keeps amazing me and every time I think about it I’m just...blown away.

I trust the dog.

undertale and deltarune are both masterpieces, just everything is incredibly well thought out and clever. I love how it isn't just a funny story but it also has some beautiful, emotional scenes and themes and the characters are perfect. Toby Fox clearly loves making these and you can tell he (and co) put lots of effort in them! I could go on and on about them because these two games have such a big place in my heart but ill stop here.

and librarys have literally always been one of my favourite things in the world!!!!! like i cannot express enough that they're everything to me. My entire Brand™ for my whole life has been The Book Nerd™ because i just read books i got from the library basically 24/7 so yeah
