daydream | chapter one
next chapter
pairing: armin arlert x reader
themes: college/modern au, slowburn, friends to lovers, mutual pining, fluff, smut
tw: recreational drug use, drinking, explicit sexual content
word count: 1705
The clock was obnoxiously loud with its endless ticking as you struggled to answer yet another dreaded short response prompt, your eyes threatening to trail over to the paper next to yours. You cursed your professor in your head, wondering who had the audacity to dub them "short answer" when answering every nit-picking facet of the question required at least a page-long essay to respond to the prompt in its entirety. The pen would soon break through the paper with how aggressively you were pushing it down. Against your better judgement, you allowed yourself to glance at your friend's paper. All you were able to read was the scrawled cursive "Armin Arlert" at the top before it was pulled from the table and started its journey to the professor's desk. Armin shot you a side eye as he threw his bag over his shoulder, and you returned a feigned apologetic grin. You watched as he waltzed confidently to the front of the room. Everything was so easy for him.
You sighed as he laid his paper on Professor Hange's desk and left. You knew he'd be outside waiting on the bench by the sidewalk when you finally finished; it was looking like he would be there for at least an hour. You tried to focus. What exactly had you learned so far in Biology 220? As far as you knew, the answer was absolutely nothing. After another while of pretending to think while actually berating yourself internally for your lack of studying, you did what you do best: you wrote down 200 words of absolute bullshit and hoped for a passing grade. It had put you through a year and a half of school -- you hoped it wouldn't fail you now.
It made sense for Armin to do well. After all, he was a biology major on the premed track. You, on the other hand, chose English on the form last minute in order to take the least amount of science and math possible. Learning that general education required sequences instead of singular courses had smacked you in the mouth. You erased the last word and fixed your handwriting three times before you finally decided you were finished, taking the paper up front to join Armin's and relishing in the sunlight hitting your face as you left the building.
"How'd you do?" Armin asked sweetly, perched on the nearest of many walkway-side benches along the campus. You saw a coffee in his hand. As you got closer, you noticed one for you sitting next to him. You smiled.
"I honestly think I did fucking awful. I haven't retained anything from Hange's class at all. She's not even a bad teacher -- I think it just isn't for me," you answered, taking a seat and lifting the coffee to your lips. It was your favorite.
He sighed, rubbing the back of his head. He'd had a haircut only the day before; he always toyed with the prickly hair on the back of his neck for the first few days after one. You wondered if he'd ever get used to having his hair shorter. "I've offered to help you, you know. I always say I'll start studying with you, and you always say we will. Then I end up studying while you lay there on your phone halfway listening."
"Well, midterms are over now. Maybe I'll let you teach me a thing or two before finals. What's important is that spring break starts now." For a moment you could see yourself and Armin laid out on the beach, sun soaking into your skin with the soft crashing of waves present only a few yards away; that was the definition of heaven. You saw Armin grin as he started to pull his bag over his shoulder in preparation for your walk to his dorm. A common misconception about your friend was that he was a stick in the mud; however, this was decidedly the furthest thing from the truth. Although he was perfect academically -- 4.0 GPA, active in student organizations, one of the way-too-happy people that shows the freshmen around campus each year -- he knew how to have a good time. Perhaps it was years of corruption from you and your other friends (Eren and Jean, in particular), but outside of a god-awful science class, he was easily your favorite person to be around.
The two of you walked side by side across campus, chatting idly about the party you both planned to attend that night and the long drive that awaited you come morning. It was the perfect weather out, a sunny and comfortable 70 degrees. Armin was dressed in an old-looking T-shirt advertising some bedroom pop artist you were unfamiliar with, making it more than noticeable how much he had filled out since he bought it. Khaki shorts hung a few inches above his knees. You had to look up at him when you spoke, quite the contrast to the many years your friendship spanned before. His eyes, though, were still the same blue, and that was unlikely to change.
When you arrived at his building, you trudged up the stairs behind him, grateful you would soon be able to sit down. Walking everywhere was not your favorite activity, but the campus was quite small, and driving would be overkill. You waltzed into the room as you did nearly every day, throwing a hand up to greet Eren. He had his arm thrown lazily around a girl you didn't recognize, his half-up half-down hair falling in his face as he nodded back at you with a smile, eyes half-open and glossy red.
You practically threw yourself into Armin's bed, which was neatly made aside from the plush blue blanket that laid across the yellow duvet. You were quickly underneath it, making short work toward comfort as you nuzzled into a pillow. Armin took the time to put his things away and change into loose-fitting charcoal sweatpants before taking a seat at your side, fiddling with a time-passing puzzle game on his phone.
"I think we should just stay in instead of going to the party and taking that trip. I'm pretty comfortable, and I have plenty of sleep to catch up on," you told him, the joke barely present in your voice. He chuckled, leaning back across your legs onto the wall behind him.
"You're required to come to the party," Eren called over to you, taking his lips away from the nameless girl's neck. "We promised Jean. And you're required to come on the trip, because we can't afford the Airbnb without your charitable contribution."
"Besides," Armin chimed in, looking over at you, "you were lucky your request off got approved. Think of the poor souls that are stuck behind the register at Barnes and Noble this week. They wouldn't want you to use their vacation in vain."
"When you put it that way. . ." you laughed, checking the time on your phone. "What time did Jean tell us to come?"
"Nine," Armin responded quickly, switching from his game to Twitter. It was only 4:06, according to the white numbers above the picture of you and Armin at your high school graduation. You had quite a bit of time to kill.
"Want to watch a movie?" you asked the blond boy at your side. You were already holding the Xbox controller before he could reply. You got on Disney+, arguably your favorite part of being in Armin's dorm, then tossed the controller toward him to choose. He chose, as he always did, some superhero movie that you would pretend to hate and secretly love. He looked over at you and grinned wide, pressing play.
As the opening sequence rolled, you figured it wasn't the worst way to waste time.
---
The party was lame in the best way. Of course, no one outside of the typical circle had shown -- Connie and Sasha, Marco, the current girl hanging from Eren's hip (Ellie, maybe?), Ymir and Historia, and Eren's sister, Mikasa. Or, at least, he called her his sister. She was adopted -- and desperately in love with him -- and you wished he would avoid calling her that for the sake of saving face. Watching her sit angrily next to him while he toyed with the girl's hair was almost as awkward as the way Jean sat next to Mikasa, beer in his hand and flirting without shame. Connie, Sasha, and Ymir spent nearly the entire party trying to convince Historia and Marco to try smoking on Connie's new bong. Between all of these preoccupied people, you and Armin were left sharing a recliner, passing a blunt back and forth and discussing the plans for tomorrow.
Jean's apartment was trashed in the way a 19-year-old boy's would typically be, soda and beer cans lining the tables and clearly visible dust on his furniture. If you squinted, you'd see he was using his U.S. History textbook as a rolling tray. Professor Erwin would be disappointed.
Your thoughts had begun to become fuzzier and fuzzier. You could tell Armin was feeling the same by the way he giggled uncontrollably at a stupid joke Connie made across the room, causing you to chuckle. He was pretty when he laughed, white teeth poking past his lips as his clear blue eyes squinted into almost nothing. It didn't help that they were already half-closed, pink and red lining his blue irises. You and Armin were social smokers, and drinkers, and what came with that was the unfortunate fact that you were both very lightweight.
You listened absentmindedly to the soft R&B Jean was playing, obnoxiously enough, from Pandora on his TV. Every time an ad played, you died a little inside. You found yourself thanking those that didn't come tonight. Eventually, when you were all in some way intoxicated, you all gathered to watch a movie. You had never heard of it, but Jean and Eren were big fans, which meant it was likely some action film with a bit of plot if you squinted at it.
Before the title screen, you had your head laid on Armin's shoulder, gently drifting to sleep.
This was peace.

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
XXVI. Your Baby
Leni continued working in Rocos as Bongbong's executive assistant after she declined the promotion offered to her.
They continued treasuring their time together after such decision making. They couldn't help but see each other as their own priorities. The loved each other so much and it felt like their worlds already revolved around each other.
As Bongbong's love grew for Leni, the more that he got scared of disappointing and hurting her at some points of their relationship as he thought about his insecurities in life, he never saw himself as a great and perfect man, he never felt that confident of himself when it comes to being the perfect lifetime partner for Leni, yet, all he thought about is that she is with him and that is all that matters now.
Leni informed Bongbong about leave as she is about to come with Natalia for their school camping at Pico de Loro from Tuesday until Friday morning (4D/3N). He allowed her to go and bought her the necessary things she might need for the camping as he couldn't come with them due to he has big project to work and attend to.
She consistently texted him updates about them as soon as they left the apartment. He called her before their bus departed.
Bongbong: First aid?
Leni: Check.
Bongbong: Off lotion?
Leni: Check!
Bongbong: Extra clothes?
Leni: Got that too.
Bongbong: Okay, good. I-text mo ako every town ha?
Leni: Yes, mahal. Paalis na kami ngayon.
Bongbong: Okay. Ingat kayo.
Leni: Opo, mahal.
Bongbong: mamimiss kita. I love you.
Leni: Sus! Mamimiss din kita.
"Hello Kuya Bongets!" Natalia shouted at the phone. "Natalia, umalis ka nga." Leni scolded her jokingly. "Naghehello lang!!" Natalia laughed.
Leni: Sorry. Gulo ni Natalia e.
Bongbong: *chuckles* okay lang, gagawin ko na pala yung keynote. Basta update mo ako ha? Love you.
Bongbong dropped the line and went back to working on his proposal.
Afternoon came, Bongbong took a short break from working. He slouched at his seat and looked at his photo with Leni framed photo on his desk — it brought a smile in his lips. He exhaled heavily and felt so thankful for her existence, she made his life better.
*knocks*
"Mr. Marcos. May bisita po kayo." A clerk informed him. "Who?" He asked.
"Louise Araneta po." The clerk replied. Bongbong couldn't recall any Louise that he knows. "Let her in." He replied out of curiosity. The clerk allowed the woman to come in. Bongbong found her familiar though he couldn't specifically recall where they met before.
"Please leave us." Bongbong asked the clerk. The woman came closer. "Have a seat." He offered. She sat in front of his desk, she seemed polite and shy.
"I'm sorry but have we met before?" He asked as he really found her familiar. "Naaalala mo ako?" She asked. "Uhm... I meet a lot of  people everyday so I can't really recall everyone." He chuckled. "Oh." She replied softly.
"So... how can I help you?" He asked. "Kailangan kase kitang makausap in private." She replied vaguely. "Okay...?" He replied sounding curious.
"Sorry ha? Saan nga tayo nagkakilala?"He asked. She took a deep breath before she even spoke. "One night stand." She reminded him. His bright mood turned a bit awkward as he heard her response. "Oh... I see." He uttered as her formulated a guess of why she came to him.
"Okay, look Lea.. Lara..-"
"Louise." She corrected.
"Yeah. Louise. I actually don't pay for séx anymore if that's why you came here." He immediately declined before she was even able to bring it up. "So if you have no other business... You can go." He continued and stood up to walk her out.
"No." She uttered making him sit back again. "Hindi ako nandito para dyan." She clarified. "I actually came here because I wanted to tell you something in person." She continued.
"Then ano yon?" He asked. She paused for a moment and tried to build her courage to confess.
"Buntis ako." She spilled. Bongbong snorted.
"I guess that's none of my business. If you came here to ask for donatio—"
"Ikaw ang ama." She cuts him in making him extremely staggered. "What?" He uttered in shock. She remained silent and a bit teary upon confessing.
"Okay..." His heart started to pound heavily. "Paano ko naman masisiguradong saakin yan? Look. If you're joking around, I'm telling you this is not a good joke. Kung pera lang naman ang kailangan mo, hindi mo kailangan mag-imbento ng kwento—"
"Sana nga nag-iimbento lang ako kaso sigurado ako na ikaw yung ama nito dahil wala naman akong ibang sinamahan after nung one night stand natin and hindi ka pumapayag gumamit ng protection. Remember when you slept with me because you were so devastated about your break up with your girlfriend?!" She cuts him in again. "Kung gusto mo, after ko manganak, ipa-DNA test natin kayo para makita mo ng sarili mong mata." She dared making him even more petrified.
She dared to put their child and him on a DNA test without a fear, she was that confident, and it scared him a lot. He felt so doomed upon the unexpected news she brought. He began to recall what she was saying. He finally recalled his session with her when he was devastated about Leni and Antonio dating before. He also remembered how hard he was and how they did it without any protection, he was out of his mind that time due to extremities of his emotions. He knew everything she said was true and the tendency of him being the father of her child is huge. He felt extremely flabbergasted with the news she had for him. He didn't know how to appropriately respond to such an abrupt happening.
He panicked and took a paper from his desk. "Isulat mo yung mailing address and your complete name." He instructed, she followed. He took the paper and asked her to leave. "Ano? Ganon nalang yon? Magpakalalaki ka naman, Bong. Magpaka-tatay ka sa magiging anak mo!" She yelled at him.
"Umalis ka na muna. Magpapadala nalang ako ng pera sayo. Wag ka nang magpapakita dito unless I said so. Go." He was talking so fast, he could feel his heartbeats racing in fear.
"Sige, pero Bong, magiging tatay ka na. Tandaan mo yan." She warned him before she left.
Bongbong sighed heavily as soon as she left. He felt like he has been hit hard that he has been badly startled, he felt oblivious, he didn't know what to do. His thoughts cluttered across his head that he couldn't think straight anymore.
This can't be happening. Leni will get hurt if she discovers.
Hindi ko siya pwede saktan. Nangako ako na hindi ko siya sasaktan. Paano ko maayos 'to? Ipa-abort ko nalang kaya? Should I come clean or should I keep it from Leni?
He wanted to faint in fluster. He felt like his stomach twitched and his world suddenly turned upside down. It was a huge problem and it is very unlikely that it won't affect his relationship with Leni. His limbs were trembling in worry as he thought about Leni.
I'm so sorry Leni. I'm so sorry...
He cried in his head as he felt doomed.
Bongbong got himself wasted that evening to forget about it, he finished a pack of cigarettes as well trying his best to relieve himself from the stress. He went home and sprawled at his bed before he began to build up rage inside him. Rage to himself after being such a moron for causing this mess. He was receiving Leni's messages but he felt so bad that he couldn't even reply or pick up her calls.
Nakakapagod ngayong araw. Nagset up kami ng mga tents. Lelz. Hope you're doing well. Miss you, mahal! :P 3:16PM

Early morning the next day, Leni immediately texted Bongbong as soon as she woke up.
<3 missed calls>

Bongbong still felt so bad and sinful for him to be able to pick up Leni's calls and texts. In the evening, he invited Martin out on a bar to drink with him and so he could open up to him as well as he felt like he is already about to explode over thinking about the situation. Even Martin was badly perturbed after hearing his situation. He could really see the fear and worry in Bongbong's voice and face.
"Maybe you should tell, Leni?" Martin suggested. "Hindi... She can't know about this. It will break her. It will hurt her and ayokong masaktan siya. Hindi ko kaya. Ang hirap." He took a heavy drink. "So... What are you thinking? Anong plano mo?" Martin asked.
"Hindi ko alam! Wala akong maisip na dapat gawin. Tàngína!" He complained looking so hopeless. He looked at his phone and saw thirteen missed calls and quite a number of SMS from Leni since the morning. He still didn't have the guts to talk to her after everything.
"Why does it have to go like this? Bakit kailangan dumating 'to kung kelan okay na okay na kami ni Leni? Bakit ngayon pa?!" He whined. "Hindi ko kayang saktan si Leni." He continued and took heavy shots continuously. "Bongets... I wish I could help but... Come on. You can make it through this." Martin tried to cheer him up. Bongbong continued drinking until he felt the influence of alcohol in him.
"Kung alam ko lang na magkakaganito eh di sana hindi ko na ginawang girlfriend si Leni. Siguro less pain pa sakanya. Kaso eto na e, I don't even think I deserve her." He felt so bad. "Martin, Leni is so wonderful. Napakabait ni Leni, she doesn't deserve to be hurt like this... God. Bakit kase ngayon pa e." He sounded so miserable. He continued to drink as he vented out to Martin until he was completely wasted. Martin took over him and drove him to his place.
Casey, a friend of Leni at the camp, noticed Leni continuously attempting to call someone over the phone since the morning. "Nagreply na ba?" She asked as Leni told her about Bongbong not picking up or responding since the morning. "Hindi pa nga e..." She sounded sad. "Nag-aalala na tuloy ako." She shared. "Wala ka bang number ng mga kaibigan niya? Baka pwedeng sila yung contact-in mo." Casey suggested. Leni recalled that she has Martin's number. She immediately dialed his number to ask for some update.
M: Hello, who's this?
L: Martin! Si Leni 'to. Sorry kung napatawag bigla ha...
M: Leni... Hey.
He looked at Bongbong peacefully wasted on his passenger seat as he drove him home.
M: napatawag ka yata?
L: Oo e... Gusto ko lang kase sana malaman if nakakausap mo si Bong? Tinatawagan ko kase kaso hindi siya sumasagot. Tinetext ko pero hindi naman nagrereply. Medyo nag-aalala lang kase ako...
M: Ah...
Martin knew he has to cover up for Bongbong for the moment.
M: Muka namang okay siya. Nakita ko siya kanina and he seem to be very busy.
L: Oh... Okay. At least alam ko na.
M: Don't think too much, Leni. Baka busy lang yon. Alam mo namang seryosong seryoso yon sa trabaho.
L: Oo nga e, miss na miss ko na siguro. Di kase ako sanay ng malayo sakanya. If magkikita kayo ulit sabihin mo naman i-text ako.
M: Yeah! Yeah! Of course.
L: Thank you! Pasabi narin na miss na miss ko na siya.
Martin felt guilty for hiding a secret from her. He felt her sincere love for Bongbong and he felt bad thinking how it will break her once she discovers about Louise.
M: Sure.
L: Thank you! Pasensya na sa abala ha? Bye. Sige.
Bongbong continued getting himself wasted until the last evening of Leni and Natalia's camp. He got himself sober before Friday despite that his devastation over Louise still remained tough.
As soon as Leni arrived home, she immediately took a cab and went to Bongbong's place. She ran towards him and gave him a tight hug,
"I miss you! I miss you! Miss you!" She squealed and placed continuous kisses on his face. "I miss you too, mahal." He replied acting as if nothing is wrong.
"Hindi mo pinapansin yung mga tawag ko. Alam mo ba kung gaano kita namiss?!" She kissed him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Sorry... Sobrang busy lang talaga pero miss na miss na rin kita. Sobra." He made an excuse.
"Yan lang naman gusto ko marinig." She smiled at him. "How about we go on a dinner tonight? Maybe with Natalia so I can make it up to you?" He suggested. "Sige!" She giggled.
Later that day, they went to Paru's for a dinner. Bongbong couldn't even look straight at Leni's eyes as he recalls the secret he is keeping from her. He still didn't know how to deal with his issue with Louise. He has been a bit distracted as he thought about whether to come clean to Leni or just keep it from her forever.
He has been a bit quiet until the end of the night. "Okay ka lang ba?" She asked while they walk towards the parking lot. "Ha? Oo." He replied vaguely. "Hay nako, kung tungkol nanaman yan sa work, kalimutan mo muna yan. May bukas pa o. Wag mo na i-stressin yung sarili mo masyado." She cheered him up. He smiled and held her hand. "Sorry. Basta ang mahalaga magkasama tayo ngayon." He replied. "Eh di ako nang third wheel." Natalia joked making them laugh.
"At least libre pagkain mo!" Leni retorted continuing the laughter.
A couple days have passed, Bongbong decided to keep the secret from Leni while he still cogitate on how to deal with the situation correctly. Each day, Leni's love and affection towards him remained constant and ideal. She even became sweeter and more affectionate as she sincerely missed him so bad and it made him feel bad as he know that he is hiding something from her and she is just clueless of everything.
It was evening, Bongbong got out from the bathroom after taking a bath as they planned to go on a dinner together. Leni was sitting at the bed side waiting for him to be ready. She peacefully watched him dry himself with his towel.
"Bakit ganyan ka makatingin?" He asked. "Wala lang, ang gwapo mo kase." She replied as she walked towards him  and hugged him, gently caressing his bare chest as she flashed a smile next to his eyes.
"Ang gwapo gwapo ng mahal ko..." She complimented as she continued doodling around his trunk with her fingers. "Leni..." He uttered as he knew the sexual tension rising. She knew that he felt what she was trying to do already. She initiated a kiss and wrapped her arms around him.
"Pwede bang dito nalang tayo? Bukas nalang tayo lumabas." She suggested and went back into their escalating kiss.
He suddenly broke off from the kiss and held her about an inch away from him. She looked at him with vexation. "Sorry..." He apologized randomly. "Bakit?" She asked. "I'm... not on the mood right now." He changed his mind about confessing. He knew it wasn't the right time.
"Oh... Okay sige..." She frowned a bit. "Sorry talaga, mahal. Pagod lang talaga ako. Sorry." He continued.
"Okay lang, mahal..." She pulled off a soft smile. "Aam kong pagod ka sa trabaho. Pwede naman sa ibang araw nalang." She replied and hugged him. He hugged him back and just felt more bad to see how understanding and perfect she was. He felt like he didn't deserve her. She was too good for him.

Blog Entry #4: THE CHRONICLE OF MY SUCCESS FORETOLD
“Are you still listening to me?” my coach asked me. It seems that I had dozed off in the corner while the team was discussing potential bans and drafts for the next game. “I can’t believe that you were able to sleep blissfully knowing that we are about to play the final game in a final series!” my coach barked at me. I could do nothing but apologize as I understood the magnitude of the situation. My team are currently  in a best-of-five series against G2 Esports, a European organization, for the League of Legends Worlds Championship. I have been announced as the Rookie of the Year by the League community after playing a successful split for Team Solo Mid, a League of Legends team in the North America region. Thanks to this, all eyes have been on me and my performance this series, as our defeats this series have been largely blamed on me.
I still remember the nights where frustration was taunting me, reminding me that I had no future being a professional League of Legends player. I could do nothing but sit and see the “Defeat” screen over and over again every night. I almost stopped playing and thought of finding another hobby. After all, if I can’t do it, might as well quit it, right? Well, all of that started to change when everything started to click for me. I have been performing well day in and day out. I started climbing the ranked ladder, and I started getting recognition from the internet. One day after class I received an email from Team Solo Mid, asking me to try-out for them. This email was almost sent to the trash bin, as any sensible human being can see this as a scammer or a prankster hoping to waste my time. This did not happen for me of course as I was not a sensible human being. Turns out everything in the email was true, they provided my flight tickets, accommodation, and food.
This was no time for a throwback, the game was about to start and everything was on the line. One more win and we can be the champions. One mistake and we lose. Me shivering to the cold, crisp air was masking the illusion that I was nervously playing on the edge knowing every move I make can make the difference between a victory and a defeat screen. I could barely hear myself think with the crowd screaming and chanting every time a game-changing play was made. My hands were shaking along with my head whenever I died in-game. I was about to win the base-race I was presented with when suddenly everything went into a blur.
“Mr. Prosecutor?” asked the judge. “Did you hear what I just said? We asked for your witness, please bring him out.” I apologized and started my introduction. Turns out I was in the middle of a court hearing when I suddenly had a daydream. What does this mean? I was tapped for this case as no one wanted to prosecute former Senator Stone Bong. I knew I couldn’t turn it down. I wanted to be a prosecutor because of moments like these.
“Ano gusto mo maging paglaki mo?” asked Llander, my childhood friend. My eyes glimmered as I answered that I wanted to be an engineer. I wanted to become an engineer because my mother told me that that this job can give me more money that I could ever want. I was dedicated in becoming an engineer: I asked my uncle how he became an engineer and how is life like becoming one. I had hope and became inspired in the hopes of becoming one myself. That is until I met Kurt. Kurt was a League of Legends player that I met on the internet. We shared stories but one story that stuck to me the most was the story of his grandfather. He explained that his grandfather was a lawyer during the Martial Law era and he suddenly disappeared after publicly speaking out against the Marcos government. I kept that story for myself and thought of my own grandfather, and how scary it must have been for his parents for that to happen. I thought to myself how horrible that experience might have been for them; no one was even there to help them or comfort them after that incident! After that I made up my mind. I wanted to become a prosecutor, someone to defend the masses from the powerful and the untouchables. I wanted to become the ferocious and incorruptible prosecutor and I wanted to put every single corrupt official behind bars because of me. So I did. I survived Law School and the Bar Exams. They gave me names. Most I ignored everything but one. “The Hunter” was my favorite as people tell of my legendary ability to find any flaw within any cross-examination. All those description are fun and all but I simply see myself as a public servant, willing to do anything for the Filipinos and never for myself.
I blinked and then remembered: I am still attending class! My mind was in euphoria, dreaming for things to come. Daydreaming really is a wonderful thing God has given us human beings. Living in the moment has been my philosophy. I did nothing but did my school works and played League of Legends after school or during my free time. I don’t know if I should become the prosecutor I dreamed of becoming or becoming a professional League of Legends player. I don’t know if I can still do anything right or consistently. I don’t think I’m up to the task anymore. I don’t even know what I want to become anymore. I am honestly scared for my future.

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
XX. Coffee Coffee
Daphne came to Bongbong's office to hand in some papers. He wondered what is was about, he started to read it.
It was a request form from Leni. It states that she is requesting for his approval for her to be able to transfer another department.
Bongbong flared up and crumpled the paper startling Daphne. "Ano pang hinihintay mo?" He asked her. She was astonished with his response to the request. "Hindi ko pipirmahan yan! Get out!" He slammed the table and yelled at her making her panic to leave right away. He trembled in anger, his eyes glared. He walked towards the small room in his office and punched the wall slightly throwing a tantrum.
He was so mad that everyday, the chance that he'll win Leni back decreases. He hated it. He loathed how much it affects him. He couldn't even focus well on his work because of the pain he was facing due to their issue.
Later in the afternoon, Daphne informed Leni about how Bongbong responded to the request form. Leni felt irritated to hear that he crumpled and disregarded it when she was sure that he knew what's going on. She went to his office to hand him another request by herself.
She laid the paper on his table. "Pirmahan mo na, please." She pleaded with demand. His jaw hardened as he glared at her. "Bakit ko pipirmahan yan?" He asked.
"Dahil gusto kong lumipat ng department-"
"Para saan? Para makatransfer kay kay Rodrigo? Para ano? Para landiin siya? Hindi mo talaga mapakalma yang kalandian mo noh?" He yelled.
She scowled at him. "Ano bang sinasabi mo?!" She felt so offended. "Bullshít." He snorted. "Wag mo akong gagühin, Leni!"
She couldn't cope with where his bitterness was coming from as she was sure that in the issue they were facing, it was her who got hurt the most, not him.
"Gusto kong lumipat ng department dahil gusto kong lumayo sa'yo!" She confessed angrily. "Ayoko kitang makita araw araw at kung magste-stay ako dito sa department mo, hindi ko maiiwasan yon!" She continued. He kept his jaw locked and hardened as a sign of his anger.
"Bong! Hindi ako yung babaeng iniisip mo, alam mo yan. Alam mong gusto ko lumipat dahil gusto ko magpakalayo layo sa'yo kase alam mo kung bakit? Kase sa tuwing nakikita kita, hindi ko mapigilan masaktan. Kaso wala ka namang pakielam sa nararamdaman ko 'di ba? Kaya please lang, pakawalan mo na ako dahil ayoko na." She bursted out her emotions.
It somehow made him feel bad and guilty for causing all her pain and he wanted to stop. But then, he grabbed the request paper and ripped it next to her eyes. Her jaw dropped slightly in shock.
"Hindi ko pipirmahan yan." He said coldly. She closed her eyes and held back her tears as she sighed heavily.
She bursted out all her sincere struggles in front of him but she didn't feel any trace of guilt and concern from him. He was like a stone, he was so cold. She was at least hoping he'd apologize or maybe hold her tight but no.
Inexplain ko na't lahat pero di parin niya pinirmahan... I already said I was hurting but he doesn't care. It only proves that I really don't mean anything to him — kahit konti. Why am I still surprised?
She felt so shattered. She just couldn't help but cry over the fact that she is crying over someone who never cared. Someone who never even loved her back no matter how much he meant to her.
Who am I even to make a Bongbong Marcos change or fall in love? It's silly for me to think that I am some kind of, special, to be like a life changing girl character in a movie. I'm not special. I'm just a nobody and I should stop expecting that I could make someone as big as Bongbong change his perspectives and make him settle because it's never gonna happen.
NEVER.
It was a typical Tuesday morning. Rody introduced his client to Bongbong and Gina before the meeting began.
Leni entered the conference room and handed Bongbong the necessary papers from Christina.
He looked at her twice. He was fascinated by her the moment she stepped inside the room. He stared at her while she was talking to Bongbong. She was like a magnet and he was a solid steel.
"I'm sorry, what's your name?" He asked. Leni was a bit startled with his sudden talking to her. "Ah... Leni Robredo, sir. Mr. Marcos' assistant po." She introduced.
"I'm sorry. I'm Antonio Trillianes of Pangaea group of companies." He introduced and shook her hand and kissed it making Bongbong, Gina and Rody surprised. Leni felt a bit awkward. She chuckled softly.
"Nice to meet you, Leni." He uttered. Leni nodded and smiled. Bongbong was somehow bothered to see it next to his eyes.
"Ah... Thank you, sir. Nice to meet you too po. Uhm... mauna na po ako." She informed him and left.
Rody smirked at Antonio as soon as she left. "Type mo noh?" He teased as they are that comfortable with each other since they were friends at the first place. Antonio chuckled. "Maganda siya." He replied. "I know. I fell for her charm too." Rody chuckled. "Talaga? I'm not surprised." Antonio retorted and they chuckled.
Bongbong felt irritated to overhear their conversation while Gina felt intrigued with how Bongbong will respond.
"Well, she has a boyfriend." Bongbong cuts in. "Talaga? I don't think so." Rody replied sounding so sure. "Oh? Sayang naman." Antonio chuckled. "Oo, meron siyang boyfriend." Bongbong insisted.
"Talaga lang ha? Hindi ko alam yan ha." Gina joined in while she glued her eyes on the documents.
"Hindi narin nakakagulat, maganda talaga siya e. Malamang sa malamang maraming naghahabol sakanya." Antonio replied. "Exactly." Bongbong stated.
Suddenly, Antonio's phone rang. He went out to pick up the call.
Rody and Gina stared at Bongbong. "Kelan pa nagkaboyfriend si Leni?" Rody asked. "Hindi niyo alam?" Bongbong answered safely. "At sinong boyfriend niya? Ikaw?" Gina snorted.
Bongbong glared at her but didn't reply. That is when Rody and Gina knew that he was preventing Antonio from going after Leni. "Aminin mo na lang kase na nagseselos ka." Rody brought up. "Well." Gina uttered.
"Ang dami niyong sinasabi." Bongbong countered and walked out.
"Okay, sige. Thank you. Bye." Antonio ended the conversation over the phone. He brought down the line and saw Leni from across the place. He couldn't help but be fascinated by her. He smiled at her and the moment she saw him looking, she smiled back softly at him.
"Ay!!" Leni mishandled the pile of documents causing it to scatter all over the floor. She immediately kneeled down to pick it up when someone helped her out.
She was stunned for a moment. "Sir Antonio." She uttered surprised. He smiled at her and continued picking up the papers. "Mag-iingat ka" He reminded her and handed her all the papers.
They stood up. "Thank you, nako, ano ba yan. Nakakahiya." She turned red. He chuckled and looked at her. "Okay lang, nagmamadali ka ba?" He asked. "Ah, di naman po sir." She forced a smile.
"May date kayo ng boyfriend mo noh?" He teased making her silenced. "Just kidding." He chuckled.
"Ah... Wala naman po akong boyfriend, sir..." She corrected him.
Antonio was bewildered. "Talaga? Sabi ni Bongbong meron daw." He laughed at the vexation. "Sabi niya po?" She asked. "Oo pero baka hindi siya aware na wala." He replied. "Ah.. Baka nga po... Pero wala po talaga akong boyfriend.." She clarified.
"Actually nakakagulat kase you are really beautiful." He complimented making her blush and shy. "Ah, thank you po..." She uttered sweetly as she stroked her hair towards the back of her ear.
"Well, I hope you don't mind if I ask you out for a coffee?" He asked.
She didn't see it coming. "Uhm... Coffee as in... Coffee coffee po or..." She sounded unsure. He chuckled and found her adorable. "I would be lying if I would ask you out and say it's just a coffee coffee. So... coffee date." He smiled confidently.
"Uh- mm.. Mhmm- hmm uhm..." She made unnecessary sounds in amusement. "Uhm... Osige po." She giggled.
"Really?! That's... great. Okay lang bang makuha ko yung number mo?" He asked. "Ah, osige po.. uhm 0926....." She willingly gave him her number leading them to eventually know each other a little more through some exchange of text messages and calls.
Antonio and Leni's closeness grew upon having the chance to know each other more through constant communication. Eventually, they started going out for a couple of dates, allowing them to explore their romantic and non-platonic sides.
Despite that Leni's heart is still with Bongbong, she didn't close her doors for Antonio. She gave him the chance to go after her and she tried her best to forget Bongbong along with his great company.
It was the usual working day, Antonio stopped by to Leni's work area and greeted her a good morning to brighten up her day.
She smiled sweetly and greeted him back. "Good morning." He smiled back at her before he kissed her hand and continued walking to the conference room.
She watched him walk away with a smile on her lips appreciating his little efforts to make her happy.
"You know what..." Gina uttered randomly behind her back. "...Naisip ko lang. Bongbong... Rodrigo... Tapos ngayon si Antonio. Hindi ko alam kugn fetish mo yung mga boss mo pero ang galing ha." She continued trying to make a point.
The smile on Leni's lips faded away upon hearing her. She never wanted people to think she's just using them or they are being dumb over her and it was just a coincidence that they are all Rocos's directors.
"Hindi naman po sa ganon, Ms. Gina..." She countered politely. She snorted and crossed her arms. "Talaga lang ha? So are you saying that these are all coincidence? Enlighten me." She dared.
She looked at her like she was a puppy being pushed away. She, herself, cannot think of a way to defend her pure intentions to her accusations. She just remained silent while feeling bad about the fact that she thinks she is just using the three men to advance in life.
Bakit ako na nga yung nagigive way, ako na nga yung nasasaktan, ako yung naiiwan sa ere pero ako parin yung mali sa mata ng mga tao...
