Would op boys catch you if you fell? Lets find out next time on dragonball- no sorry it just reminded me of that narrator ANYWAYS.

I only did boys because i didnt have much inspi for Nami and Robin so i decided to wait until i do cos I don't wanna half arse stuff.

So anyways I feel like I saw someone do this idea already but it might've been just one character like a law x reader? I'm not sure but I would love to tag them so if you know please tell me ! I will also try to make sure mine is different :p.

Luffy

Depends. Like if he's fighting or eating then probably not but if he thinks you might get hurt then he will 100% attempt to catch you. Key word being attempt. Poor boy probably makes the fall 10x worse, like if you trip on one step you're suddenly falling down the entire flight of stairs with a weight on top of you. He will apologise though so at least there's that.

Zoro

He always catches you. Or prevents the fall in the first place. He tells himself it's so you're not unnecessarily out of commission for a fight but really he's a huge softie. Though he always catches you really ungracefully, llike there’s no princess carrying here, he's holding you upside down by the ankle with one hand fr. He scolds you every time too like- "Why do you never watch where you're going" or "Tie your shoes next time idiot", which you should hear as "I can't stand watching you get hurt". Cutie:(

Sanji

Oh you know he does. He lives for romance and what's more romantic than saving your beloved from certain doom (tripping on a rock). Oh he also does it in the most dramatic way possible, he'd rather throw himself to the ground underneath you then let you hit the floor, he's doing twirls, picking you up with one arm, occasionally will throw you in the air first so he can rearrange what he's holding. Menace tbh, like he's just obsessed with teasing you in any way possible.

Usopp

Another one who tries his best…tries🙁. He's always so dramatic about it too, he literally screams your name like you're in a horror movie and everyone is always like "WHAT'S WRONG?!" and Usopps just "Oh they tripped on a step". He either injures one of you in his attempt to catch you OR you both end up in the most compromising positions just as someone walks past . He goes so red trying to explain the situation while also trying to check if youre okay😭.

Franky

Oh every time and it’s smooth as hell every single time. Says super cheesy lines every time like “OWWWW GUESS YOU FELL FOR ME BABE”, and he gets sparkly eyed every time, he loves romance as a genre and finds it superrrrrrrr(😚) cute when something happens that matches a trope he's read. If he didn't catch you he'd probably panic and constantly apologise but just give him a kiss and he'll forget about it soon enough.

Brook

Catches you every time, really gently and really romantically. Instead of just full on catching you, he'll purposefully slow your momentum to minimise injuries in case his attempt at grabbing you fails because then you'd both fall and he'd rather not. Like if you trip into him then he'll pull you both into a delicate spin type of dancing and you're like huh??? He thinks its a really cute trait to be honest but it also makes him really worried about your safety so he likes to keep one hand on you at all times.

Jinbei

Catches you as often as he can, like he won't sprint across the ship to stop you from falling but as long as you're in his reach you will never hit the ground. And he always catches you really gently like you barely feel the impact so sometimes you won't even notice you've tripped until later when you see the scuff on your shoe or something. He really likes holding your hand to make sure you ‘keep your balance’.

Law

He doesn't want to look soft so he tries to force himself not to catch you for just harmless falls...yeah no that doesn't work. As soon as he sees you losing balance you hear that ever familiar room, shambles and then you're in his arms. If it's later in your relationship then he's a menace, he will use this to tease you, like "Oh. Looks like an angel fell into my arms" with this stupid ass smug smirk. He's just really obsessed with you.

Kidd

Catches you most of the time unless it's gonna be really funny. Also he catches you super awkwardly, like he's so obsessed with you but he never knows where to put his hands because hes not used to giving affection so it's like just in the most ungraceful ways. You are literally being held up by his arm around your thigh or something and you're like what the fuck and he's just stood there 🧍🏻‍♀️.

Killer

Prevents the tripping and catches you if necessary. But if you're too clumsy then he just starts getting huffy and hauls you up into his arms so there's no risk of you falling whatsover...and then you bang your head against the ceiling- He probably feels so bad if you get hurt because of him to be honest, he tries so hard to make you happy yk. Anyways at some point he just starts adding cushion to all the potentially harmful areas on the ship so even if you do fall it doesn't hurt.

i do agree with the ones that mention niki haha those are true rinne is absolutely smitten but the ones that say its like. because hes rinne amagi. and others thay were probably filtered out by the OP... people that either didnt read the main story or just dont want to look further lmao

overall im very disappointed in a lot of the answers given for the voting so ive stayed off twitter almost all day today and yesterday. i fear like with stuff like this a very silent population of eng side shines through, the one that specifically Doesnt actually engage with the story and goes off fanon interpretation. look, im not saying its necessarily a bad thing. but when it comes to stuff like this, where people grossly mischaracterize a grand majority of charas or narrow them down to be the butt of a joke, or use it as an excuse to be plain racist/ableist, i feel like people really need to reassess where all of this is coming from. like. not rinne, but KANAME couldnt even be included because the answers used for his votes were, in their majority, apparently ableist, and op (definitely in the right, i think this was the right choice to make) chose not to post at all because they feared the qrts would be just as bad. because for some reason people seem to think that because they're fictional characters that being ableist is somehow ok, that saying they would "pull the plug" on charas like him and eichi is fine because theyre not real people – as if there werent disabled or chronically ill people in this fandom, in every fandom, or hell, around you?

and lets not mention tatsumi and people blatantly misinterpreting his christianity as something he would force upon others – first of all, western christianity does not apply to tatsumi. at all. i understand that people might find it easy to just associate him with that and make "haha, he would make me convert" or "haha he would be a homophobe" quips, and obviously its not necessary to have extensive knowledge on kirishitan history in japan and how they are, to this day, a minority that was persecuted for a lot of japan's modern history. LIKE, EVEN FROM HIS DIALOGUE IN ANY STORY.. when has he given off that impression? cite your sources, he's literally one of the most inclusive and accepting charas in the whole cast! not a prejudiced white christian middle aged mom...

i think that if you absolutely must reduce a character to tasteless jokes, stereotypes that arent even funny to begin with, and you refuse to even read the source content at all to correct yourself, you really need to think about how you engage with any media, not just enstars. if you want to look at the pretty characters just say that! but dont be like this, and don’t speak on things you don’t fully understand as if you did just to make a point or be funny!

OKAY RINNE SORRY LOL i hate it. i hated all of it and judging by the ratio many people seemed to dislike it as well (god bless!). if you havent seen it i wont link it bc tbf i dont feel like looking at it again (peace and love) but the answers summed up are like "oh he would steal my money" "hes selfish and would take stuff from me and not gaf about my wellbeing" "hes married to niki already" the last one being the only one i agree with. and it makes me think about a lot of issues with how a good portion of the fandom sees rinne. ive seen a lot of people read rinne in bad faith, regardless of whether theyve read main story, hot limit or any story rinne is in. and i dont get it, genuinely. YES he can be upsetting! he can be an asshole, he can be rude, he DOES steal money from niki! but these people neglect to see or mention that he gives it back and then some. they fail to talk about how he spends a lot of his time trying to make niki see his self worth!! since hiiro was BORN he's been trying to get him to understand that he's deserving of love!! that YES he can be a dick but ultimately treats crazy:b and his friends with love and wants what's best for them! these are the same ppl that think he's abusive or something idk i can only assume. like yeah rinne has a carefully crafted persona where hes a complete dickhead and ig some players cant really bother to see past that act

unfortunately rinne himself is built on a few harmful stereotypes of ainu culture irt the drinking, being portrayed or viewed as more 'uncouth' by other characters, etc which is why the initial more explicit ties to ainu culture were removed altogether from his and hiiros design and background. it is understandable, which is for example why it's not really my place to say whether he can be interpreted as ainu or not, and even so, i try not to rely on those aspects of him because it still veers into sensitive territory. and its an unfortunate part of his character, but undeniably, rinne amagi DOES drink, (he's one of the only characters in main cast of drinking age anyway) does partake in harmful behaviors, but fsr suddenly that means hes nothing but a drunkard, to a lot of people. when reading rinne you really have to take these things and ofc, consider that theyre relevant to his character, but it's not all there is...? in the slightest..? there used to be a tweet thread explaining this link further but it's either been taken down or the account has been locked. either way, just a bit of googling goes a long way. i'd rather not go into too much detail here because i don't feel informed enough beyond pointing these issues out, and i personally feel like it's not really my place. if anybody wants to add onto this post to cite more specific sources please feel free

he's such a fun loving, cunning, caring guy who helps people get jobs (dance of the white tiger), who volunteers to play with kids at a daycare (asobi), and wishes so badly to become an idol and grant everyone the same opportunities if theyd like to be, as well (main story, sudden death SUDDEN DEATH IS MY FAV STORY AFTER HL BUT THE TL IS DOWN....SORRY. but i really really think it's one of the most important ones when it comes to rinne's character and motivations. also if u can read it in app it's even better bc it's voiced and theres a line where he's like "oh this guy's [niki] is engaged to me" when talking to kohaku's sister AND HE SOUNDS FULLY SERIOUS TOO....)

don't get me started on people who dumb him down as if he wasn't one of the most clever characters in the game. and unknowingly, people that continue to make rinne's character out to simply be a gambling flirty drunkard who doesn't know how to control himself, as if there weren't other facets of him – they lean into stereotypes, bordering on racism, even if its not malicious or theyre not aware. and it makes me so sad. a lot of the time these interpretations are spread around and then liking characters like him becomes some sort of moral debate, esp in current fandom (which is one of the reasons i think this stereotyping? happens? b/c ive found that fandom sometimes has the tendency of grabbing characters and mischaracterizing them so BADLY that liking them makes you a bad person..? not necessarily villains either! i promise it's okay to just dislike characters without making stuff up!)

that aside also suggesting he'd be an awful, neglectful spouse is simply incorrect. i very firmly believe that if rinne is devoted, he will drop every vice, every pretense, to make the other person happy. he's Like That in the story and towards niki because they keep tiptoeing around the subject but the second he gets an inner monologue, or is truly being genuine, you can tell he would do anything for him, if niki would just let him. to say that rinne isn't capable of being a good partner because he'll treat you badly or not care about you just proves to me that you're not reading any scene he is actually in. if rinne loves you, romantic or not, he will go big or go home. read hot limit btw

okk so just quick disclaimer beforehand, i dont know shit about figure skating except the very very basics (like what type of jumps and stuff) so if smth is incorrect or doesnt make sense its bcs of that haha also as always im hopelessly overpowered :D

In my dr im a figure skater from Germany, i was born in early 2007 and did ballet from when i was like 3 (thats canon btw i did that in my cr too haha) but then quickly got impatient and kinda bored with it (also canon, i regret stopping tho) and my parents put me into figure skating and gymnastics instead. since in my hometown there isnt really a big figure skating team (there is one but its not good ngl) i scripted that my now coach saw me by coincidence and decided i had talent and she wanted to coach me. I can do more on my coach if you guys want to btw its kinda a whole (unfinished) story (shes an oc).

So then she started coaching me in 2014, after a lot of convincing from me towards my parents cos they didnt actually want me to become a professional skater cos its obviously not the healthiest thing to do but after I saw Yulia at the 2014 Olympics I begged my parents to let me get private lessons until they gave in (yulia is kinda my role model and i wanna be like her)

I have an unfinished list of my senior competitions here (for the sake of plot i kinda made it so the covid restrictions on the 2020/21 season didnt happen for the junior competitions, only seniors, also kamila and i dont compete together before the olympic season) and yes ofc i win everything bcs as i said op af (also i know some of the competitions overlap so idk how im gonna do that yet, if anyone has an idea pls feel free to tell me haha)

for jumps i have all quads (yes including 4A cos im just that good lmao) and im playing with the idea (actually i put it already but its prolly impossible so im unsure if i should put it) of scripting i have a quintuple jump as well at some point.

Im really not knowledgeable on different spins i just scripted theyre centered and i dont have a lot of movement on the ice during them idk if thats how you say it but like i spin in one place and dont move to the left or right a ton

Then like some stuff that goes without saying, i have good technique, i dont get hurt badly, i dont have any long term problems from professional skating, stuff like that

My s/o is ilia malinin but since hes born in 2004 we dont get together for a while. We meet either at a competition or during my exchange year in the us in 2024 (my host family lives in the same state he does and we train at the same rink while im there) and then like slowburn friends to lovers pining everyone-knows-except-them kinda stuff (i really do love torturing myself in that aspect apparently)

Some other stuff i can think of rn is that my nickname is 'golden girl' or 'germanys golden girl' idk just smth i came up with (if you have any other ideas pls tell me haha unfortunately im uncreative af when it comes to stuff like that)

also you mightve noticed im technically too young to do senior competitions in time for beijing but i just decided to script that they make an exception for me for some reason haha

I can speak 4 languages, German, English, Russian (bcs of my coach) and Spanish

I get along kinda good (as well as you can as competitiors) with the Eteri Girls bcs we're similar age and my coach gets on kinda well with Eteri (they used to compete together except my coach is actually nice) and also i yk speak russian

oh also when i first get there its january 2022 so right before the olympics cos i wanna experience that not just in memory

I still do want to apologize for what I said, I genuinely hope you don't feel too bad, however I still want to say that your love for the trans community is really skewed, if I said that I loved the jewish community and every take I had was agreed with by nazis, it wouldnt exactly make me a great ally, again really hope the wheelchair thing didnt feel too bad, a lot of it came from my struggle with a wheelchair, my ass cannot walk either

i do appreciate the apology, as bewildering as it is!

honestly my blog is like a pinterest folder for me of the wide spectrum of radfem views that people have around these parts. not everyone is a jerk, which was fuckin wild to my detrans brain after so long in trans spaces being told they're all right-wing tradwives... what peaked my interest and led me to make this blog was me finding trans-led radfem blogs that were fighting for cis/bio women's rights and trying to find cis-trans compromises, talking abt being trans radfems or radfem allies while being trans. ofc you could say they're all fake, but i've even met irl trans ppl very open to certain radfem beliefs when i presented them out of curiosity without saying they were radfem ones. cuz let's be real, most ppl don't really know what radfems actually believe in, and know thy enemy is a pretty important thing in activism! ppl study all kinds of groups where bigotry has festered, and i don't believe radfems are like incels or nazis at all

it's late, so i'm going to ramble about what i've learned -- radfems, the ones that aren't just jerks, are basically saying: "i care first and foremost about afab rights! i want afab-only spaces in bathrooms & changing rooms, alongside gender neutral ones! i care about afab-specific issues like abortions and forced pregnancy and afab genital mutilation and trauma that only cis women & transmasc ppl face growing up, afab ppl face unique misogyny that is wayyy too often seen as a less important issue than transmisogyny instead of an equal struggle, and transfems can be misogynistic af against afab folks in a unique way that needs to be called THE FUCK OUT!! afab rights matter! afab people are more than just their body type! afab people have unique sex-based oppression!" they aren't calling for trans ppl's deaths, the grand majority anyway. they're all for gender nonconformity, they just don't believe it will ever your agab and they believe your agab matters in certain leftist discussions... like how transfems will say theyfabs and use the word afab to describe a specific dynamic between the two sexes, afab/female & amab/male

and i know "there are two sexes in humans" gets ppl mad -- from what i read about there being two sexes, radfems told me the one thing no one has been able to debunk so far is that if you google male & female it says that the male/amab sex is the group of humans that has small spermazoid gametes, and female/afab sex produce larger gametes; intersex people still fit under one of these two, and the term itself is actually seen as offensive, they're just people with DSDs. afab ppl typically are born with vaginas and go through estrogen puberty, and amab ppl are typically born with penises. radfems are saying that amab/male and afab/female are just body types that shouldn't dictate one's life, but the patriarchy and creepy powerful cis men have turned afab bodies (and afab-passing bodies) into something sexualized and objectified, and people with afab bodies are raised under misogyny from birth, which amab people typically don't go through unless they start passing 100% perfectly (and even then the misogyny they face is conditional; if someone learns they're amab, they will face homophobic disgust, like the typical movie joke of a guy realizing a girl is transfem and throwing up... that isn't the misogyny that cis women & transmasc ppl face). penises can forcibly impregnate and feel genital pleasure while penetrating, which does mean afab people & post-op transfems (the grand majority of transfems statistically still have dicks) are uniquely vulnerable against amab bodies. these are big differences that need to be talked about

radfems are saying that amab/male & afab/female socialization matters and the trans community should take it into account, and stop seeing cis women & transmascs as the one-way oppressors of transfems, when transfems are also privileged for being amab; they do not face systemic body issues that afab ppl face, and they do not know what it's like to grow up as afab, therefore sometime need to sit tf down and listen too. it's not a strict oppressor/oppressed dynamic, it's more complex. afab-unique oppression is violent and widespread worldwide, afab ppl have generational trauma and may face afab-unique issues that anyone amab cannot even begin to understand. i think everyone should listen to one another. i think transmisogyny & afabmisogyny both matter. that's what radfems are saying.

radfems often do not use the most respectful language. they say male instead of amab, female instead of afab, they misgender, they say trans-identified male (tim) and trans-identified female (tif). many have faced afabmisogyny from transfems and have nowhere to go. some are transmascs, and some are transfems and strong allies. radfems often do not mince their words. but i think, as an oppressed class, their words still do matter. if identifying as a woman makes you oppressed, and being afab makes you oppressed, wouldn't being a woman-identified afab person bring a unique oppression? don't cis, or as they call themselves biological women, matter? they don't feel a gender identity, they see their agab as just a body type, one they did not choose and may not always like, but they align with it and they want to normalize it and stop oppression against it. if cis people tell trans people they don't have a gender identity, they don't have ~womanly feelings~ inside their heads, does anyone ever listen or do they just go umm you're probably agender? if cis women say they have worries about certain gender-affirming things, bc it may bring harm their way, do we talk abt it or just mock them and call them terfy bitches? what about all the replies from trans people involving r*pe threats and forced impregnation and guilt-tripping same-sex attracted ppl for not being into the opposite agab, when some trans people also are only attracted to the same agab (transfem4transfem) or attracted only to the opposite agab. some openly admit it! yet cis people can't do the same? what about certain concerns related to medical transition, ones that many detrans people raise but no one except right-wing bigots listen to? and the ironic gender normative sexist things that some trans ppl say? why aren't there discussions abt this shit in trans spaces?? it genuinely worries me

there's soooo many of these issues, you see... and trans folks and trans allies aren't speaking up, they aren't posting about them, they aren't having actual discussions, they just brush it all under the rug as terf bs bc it makes them look bad so they want to believe all this shit is fake. that's why radfems are getting more and more fed up. i want to ease that tension. i want to do something. bc i care a whole fucking lot about all lgbtq people. trans people literally funded my escape from my abusive home when i was younger, i know y'all protect your own. i just want to throw away the misconception that cis women aren't a unique oppressed class too, and actually listen to what they're saying so we can put an end to the bullshit cis-trans war, bc the people killing trans people ARE ACTUALLY CIS MEN! the people in power ARE CIS MEN! we are wasting our fucking breath on eachother. and it needs to change. that's what my book is gonna be about and that's why i'm on here collecting receipts and having deep convos with radfems and eventually doing surveys etc

i genuinely did not know what i'd find when i started researching radfeminism. i expected something radically (ha!) different. i think the trans community could really benefit from at least learning more, if only to have genuine debates and not just slurs and threats. i really do care and i hope both communities can somehow find peace :/

rambling vent (still on my trip tho, sorry for the inactivity for those who didn't know)

Last full on my trip rn but i am feeling exhausted,,,, 😭😭😭😭 Tomorrow will be heading home,,, thinking about all the airport stuff has me stressed (not the flying part, I like being high up, its just like the security and people stress me),,, 😓

The trip has been fun mostly,,, but not relaxing in the slightest 😓😓😓 Its been nice to see my older brother since we can geek out about OP together in person, and he like gave me some gifts for it,,,,, but without getting into it,,, there are reasons i dont like being around him either,,, so its a mixed bag 🫤 and my dad is such a misogynist and bigot having to hear the shit he says and not being able to leave when he says it is infuriating 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I am such a shut in, and normally leave the house like maybe 5 times a month if even that,,,,, so going out and about for 9 days straight is alot for me- i know thats nothing to most "normal" people,,,,, but for someone in my life/situation it's alot,,,,,,, being around people and being active so much has me drained completely 😓😓😓😓😓 Im feeling such burn out,,,, and I miss my cats (especially my lil baby ET,, she is very codependent towards me so I've been worried how she has been holding up 😢), also since i was scared of them getting broken or stolen on the plane- i didnt bring my Chop or Brook figures and i miss them too!! I need my wife and bf 😭😭😭😭 Not bring my main comfort items was a big mistake,,, but the stress of something happening also was too much- so I couldn't win either way,,,,

I always feel awful when I get this level of burn out / sad feeling on a trip,,,, they're supposed to be a good time but I've held back from crying a few times now,,,, I just wanna be home in my own bed, shower where im familiar with, being able to do stuff on my own pace, just like my regular routine stuff in general 😭😭😭😭 At the same time going back home means having to deal with some family i dislike being around- which I am not looking forward to,,,, 😓😓😓

Burnout sometimes will put me in depressive episodes, and feeling emotional highs my crashing is always bad,,,,,, 😓😓😓😓😓😓😓😓

ALSO I MISS GETTING ON HERE!! This is Infinity! She's a magical dog who really just wants to be normal and is surrounded by friends who she thinks are idiots, lovingly. She had a troubled family life and despite all the expectations put on her, she just wants to be normal. I viewed her as the kind of loveable that Akane from Ranma 1/2 or Misty from Pokemon is! Abrasive at times, yet loving nonetheless. Her markings would all shine on the rare occasions she would use her magic powers!

I based her on who I was and what I wanted to be at the time - wanting to be free of everyone's expectations of me. Also, somehow she was my fursona but I still didn't know what a furry was yet. I consider her my first fursona, loosely! Perhaps not the *most* interesting but she held a lot of importance to me and helped lead me to where I am today!

Also, given the date on the submission of this, I was, in fact, 12 years old when I made her lol

okok so shes this human looking alien girl (technically this alien race evolved off humans so theres that) who was kinda just floating around in space looking for exoplanets one day because she just likes doing that and then she found one and decided to stay there for a while, during which nasa comes by and finds this exoplanet and tries claiming it but she's like "no i was here first"

but she doesnt exactly want this planet either shes just being stubborn so she decides to follow them back to earth and comes up with the totally great idea of doing a total drama type thing to decide who gets to have it and she sets this contest up as a club at a random highschool and a lot of the challenges involve going around space so shes just dragging these kids around with her to random planets and stuff she is completely unqualified to be doing this but the kids think its fun and shes having fun so why not (i say kids but shes barely older than them shes like. 19 i think? and theyre all 16-18)

shes also ridiculously OP because why not sjdffhkhsd the alien race she is evolved in an area with sparse resources so theyre able to planet-hop pretty easily and can survive floating in the void of space if need be and are also really strong shes also got like. imagine a video game stamina bar that lets you manifest objects and charged attacks out of energy. yeah shes got that and shes both a bounty hunter and wanted by the police the bounty hunter thing is cus she ran away from home and needed some source of money and ended up on this planet with a very bad homicidal animal population so might as well put that superstrength to use

and the wanted by the police thing is because she tends to just cause stuff and leave and she accidentally burned a few buildings down

there is probably more that im forgetting because i didnt write this down but thats the main points yeah

vote for her she is pure of heart dumb of ass and will bring you food randomly

this thought has been niggling in the back of my head ever since dazai called akutagawa too slow to teach that time in the dungeon (which wasn't really true he was just manipulating aku) and only became more prominent when i read the failed sskk-vs-fukuchi fight but for a fighting(?) shonen(?) manga protagonists/main duo atsushi and akutagawa's talents (beside their innate abilities) are pretty....mid?

obviously i dont think theyre stupid but even if we dont consider the OP protags usually seen in the genre they still come up quite average in-universe? for one they are clearly not the brightest bulbs around. akutagawa's mostly been the brains behind sskk and he's pulled some pretty good saves like waking the tiger in 55 minutes or assisting atsushi throughout the fight against goncharov, so he's capable and can further improve (provided vampirism or death didnt turn his brain to mush rip) but theres no way its in the same dimension of the class of people considered the "brain" of the series (dazai, fyodor, ranpo, even mori). it couldve been somewhat better if their intellect complemented each other (for example ranpo+dazai whose brains become 1+1>2 together) but sskk are pretty similar in how they think? i dont think theres anything akutagawa could come up with and atsushi couldnt (well, i do have to give it to atsushi for the ability to consider strategic retreat, something aku is incapable of).

then there are their abilities & combat capabilities. the abilities are strong, no doubt, and even stronger together (sskk 1+1>2 goes here) but considering how strong the abilities are capable of, their combat power is just ok? and its quite not a problem of experience either because like how dazai and friends above reign over intellect we have seen other ability users with genius control over their abilities at very young, most notably oda and chuuya (no corruption) for me. oda's ability seemed like a cheat because he can see the future, but its really just 5-6 seconds so its still on him to react fast enough. from the day i met dazai we actually found out by 14 years old, he's killed so many people they thought it was an entire organisation behind the assassinations, but nah it was just oda alone. and even when his ability was canceled out in the fight with gide, he was still comparable in speed and marksmanship, and given how gide fought in the great war 10 years before the event of dark era, the man has years of experience over oda. similarly, its chuuya's ability to combine his gravitation manipulation to enhance his fighting with insane accuracy (generating the right momentum for his hits, gathering dust as leverage for midair mobility, etc.) that makes the gravitation control a lot more deadly. and hes done all this by the time we first saw him at 15, where "the sheep" aka basically chuuya alone has enough firepower to compete with port mafia. like oda, chuuya also fought with someone with the same ability and at 16, under normal power condition his hand-to-hand combat skills are comparable to verlaine, a government-trained spy and assassin, or even better as he managed to wound him (of course verlaine still won in the end because his dragon aka energy output is bigger than chuuya's dragon lmao). in comparison to them, sskk's track record doesnt seem as impressive? of course they have their limitations like how atsushi has only been at this for a year at most or akutagawa is simply too frail due to his illness (dazai's physical skills are below average for the mafia per chuuya's assessment and well, we all know how dazai-vs-akutagawa goes). but sskk actually had training and mentors and so far they look to be on an ordinary(?) learning curve, while oda and chuuya seemed to be just genius??

of course, as protagonists we love sskk for their drive and personal growth that us readers are privy to but kinda like how teruko told sigma, in a fight to the death its not like the geniuses like the ones above will have less drive to survive. anyway, its not really a complaint because the appeal of bsd has always been the characters and themes to me, not so much the powerscaling (even if it has been about fighting, having an "average" protag is perfectly fine). i just think its pretty interesting to take this into perspective considering if everyone manages to survive the doa arc future enemies are probably gonna get stronger, and i wonder how will we go from here, assuming asagiri still wants to give sskk the "main fight" of the arc (though who knows with the madlad anymore lmao)

(i wouldnt say no to more ability group fight like how the mafia ganged up on verlaine in stormbringer though that's be rad as hell)

OK AU IDEA!

Very rushed I'm just writing this down because I came up with this 30 minutes ago and I have not thought it out very well and I'm too lazy to really double check my writing so probably a lot of grammatical errors in spelling errors or something I don't know lol

We know from one voice line from retribution between Genji and Reyes that talon tried to partner with the shimada clan but sojiro declined as they're view didnt aline.

Well what if he had agreed?

So Genji and Hanzo were raised in talon made to be not only shimada assassins but talon operative assassins so they were somehow even more brutal and inhumane than the shimada clan already was.

How Genji would end up joining OverWatch would be during an OverWatch mission to break into a talon base something goes wrong and one of them (Cass or Angela probably) can't make it back to the dropship or they're trapped or something, and genji knowing if talon finds out what he did they would kill him decides against his better judgment and decides to help the OverWatch agent he has no idea who they are.

And once he gets the agent back to the dropship Reagan's turns to him and offers him a place in OverWatch because he knows fine well talon/the shimada are going to have him killed for betraying them, and genji agrees. And eventually when they get back to base and after Reyes has finished convincing Morrison, once they start filling out his medical paperwork and a whole bunch of other stuff Reyes finds out that Genji is a cyborg.

And instead of becoming a cyborg once he was in OverWatch because his brother tried to kill him like normal, since he and Hanzo were raised in an even more violent and bloodthirsty environment they would often be made by each other and whoever lost would be punished either through extensive additional training, have something taken away that's the basic necessity, and eventually after those punishments weren't working and Genji was still losing to Hanzo, they started to replace parts. (Think like nebula and gamora from guardians of the galaxy) and since doomfist's family owns a cybernetics company it isn't too much of a stretch that they would have someone who could replace parts.

And the reason they were so easy with allowing an ex-talon operative to join OverWatch was because Baptiste had already joined at this point, and was the medic of black watch (moira is already gone at this point, they realized she didn't exactly have normal limits a lot faster). So they offered Genji a role in black watch alongside Cassidy, Baptiste, and sombra (because I want her to be here too). Since Genji already was wearing a mask when they met him, they didn't take it as very much of a surprise when he requested that his new black watch attire be armor and the helmet and you couldn't see his face or even eyes, they willingly obliged especially considering they allowed Cassidy to dress like a cowboy they couldn't exactly say no to the cyborg ninja to allow him to dress like a cyborg ninja, so his armor was made and it looks like his current armor but black watch color palette and instead of his normal hoodie and joggers he has black watch attire and looks more like he's on a black ops strike team. This black watch strike team would train alongside the OverWatch strike team and everyone even a lot of the black watch members at first the longest time thought Genji was an omnic because he never took off his armor in front of people except for Cassidy because they were roommates and Genji didn't sleep in the armor. The other black watch members found out a lot faster than the OverWatch team obviously from being around each other more but none of them ever talked about the fact Genji was actually a human so everyone still just assumed outside of black watch he was an omnic.

Also Genji's cybernetics look more along the lines of sojourns, where you can tell their cybernetics but they look more human than pure robotic. Also since he never went through a Playboy phase he starts off as more cold, aggressive, and quiet. But eventually when he starts warming up to everyone and learns that you can actually be a nice person and not constantly have to worry about someone trying to murder you or having to murder someone else he eventually shows off his more warm bubbly caring side to his personality.

Hanzo in this AU is still a part of talon but he is very internally conflicted because she does care about his brother in a weird way because even though he knows he calls them a lot of pain he still does care about him, and the fact he knows he calls him a lot of pain and creates a lot of inner turmoil in him that he is trying to push down but it's getting near a breaking point. And he is slowly becoming more and more uncertain of Talon's actions, with the final breaking point being when he almost kills his own brother during another OverWatch mission a couple years later and the shock of both realizing that his brother is alive, is on the other side, and that he almost killed him freaks him out to the point that he ends up running away from talon on his own. Not to join OverWatch at least not immediately he goes about by himself for a while trying to figure out reality and get a grip on what things are actually like because he is no idea because both of them had been brainwashed so much to the point they had no concept of what the real world is like.

Also probably kiriko would be a part of talon too as one of the assassins, and is probably the last of the three to leave because she has her mother still tying her there, and the anger of her believing that Genji and Hanzo just abandoned her when that is not what they were doing what was an accidental side product of what they were actually trying to do.

That's all I've got so far , again I did only come up with this like 30 minutes ago lol. feel free to add your own input!

Once everyone was at the clubhouse they all gathered round the bar. “ATF isnt hrere about the blast at the warehouse a month ago. They are here digging into the club. Agent Stahl got Hale to pull me from the cells for an Interview. She knew all about me. My information, Everything. Even questioned me about Alex. Said his mum has filed some kind of missing report. Told me once she’s tore down SAMCRO, she’s gonna go looking into Alex.” Delaney held on to Jax’s hand tight. “What if she finds him? What if he comes back?” It was obvious to see she was worried. Alex really would kill her this time. But this time she had so much more to lose. Jax wrapped his arms around her tightly and pulled her close to him. “He wont come back baby. He knows I’ll kill him for everything he did to you.” Clay looked at Unser angrily. “And you had no idea about this bitch? Clearly Hale is working with her.” Unser raised his hands in surrender. “Woah just hold on a minute! If your suggesting i knew about this and didnt tell you, your completely wrong. They were here about the blast, thats all i knew!” Clay looked as though he didnt believe a word that came out of his mouth. “Why question Delaney though? It doesnt make sense.” Chibs spoke up. It went quiet as everyone tried to think of why she went after Delaney. What could she possibly achieve by going after her? “She wants information. Even if its something small.” Juice spoke up. “Whats the one thing she can use against us if she only has small bits of information? Where no information is irrelevant or not useful?” The penny dropped. They knew her game. “RICO. Shes using RICO.” Clay slammed his hands on the bar angrily. “THAT BITCH!” Silence quickly filled the clubhouse as the reality of what that meant for everyone sunk in.

From her place at Jax’s side, Delaney broke the silence. “We need to be smart about every move we make from now on. Atleast while Feds are in town. Gemma you need to get word to Luann that she’ll be watched. Shes an old lady, they’ll think shes privy to everything. Especially with Otto on the inside.” Everyone looked at her in suprise, while Jax looked at her proudly. His woman was so smart. “Over the next few weeks we need to run the garage like clock work. Only legit business in or out. Meaning your gonna have to find somewhere quiet to store and assemble the guns. Juice, pull up a map and start looking for possible places.” Delaney cleared space on the bar for Juice to start his search. “This bitch is smart. She’s gonna pick off the weakest links first. People with the most to lose. People she can blackmail. Ope, As much as i love Donna, she wants you out of Samcro, meaning shes a target for this Bitch. If she can convince Donna she can get you out if they cut a deal, She’ll take it. Get her straight with that.” Turning to Chief Unser, Delaney continued her rant. “And you Chief, i suggest you keep your ears open at the station. You’ll be the one to hear anything first hand. Oh and rein in Your Deputy. Or he’s gonna get that smirk wiped off his face, and not by Jax. By me.” Turning her attention to Gemma and Clay, Delaney smiled wide. “While Juice finds somewhere to store them, The rest of the guys can help Clay and Jax find a way to keep shipments coming in on time without ATF seeing how we get them in. Also need a way to get them out to the buyers without Feds seeing guns for cash. Maybe one location to pick up cash another location to exchange the guns. Either way thats the most important, keeping shipments going out and cash coming in.” Tig cut in once Delaney had finished talking. “And what are you guys gonna do while we do the hard work? sit there and look pretty?” Delaney rolled her eyes at the older man. “Me and Gem have the hardest job ofcourse. Making us all look like one big normal happy family. How you feel about a fundraiser Gem?” at the mention of that Gemma smiled wide. “Im thinking money for the local highschool? new music block maybe?” Gemma wrapped her arm around Delaney and looked to Jax. “See this is why i love her! Shes smart.” Jax grinned at his mom and his woman. God, he loved her. “What are you all standing around for? You have your orders!” Clay pulled himself up from the bar stool and kissed Delaney’s forehead. “You are a blessing to this family. Lets hope your plans work Sweetie.” He kissed Gemma before making his way through the double doors to the meeting room. Gemma wandered off into the kitchen ready to start planning the fundraiser. Jax walked up to Delaney and pulled her to him by his hoodie that she had on. “I love you.” He spoke softly pressing a kiss to her lips. “God, im never gonna get tired of hearing you say that.” Delaney sighed in bliss as she wrapped her arms over his shoulders, standing on her tip toes to press another kiss to his lips. “I know our moment got interrupted. But you kinda forgot something.” Jax grinned at her confused expression as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small black velvet box. “I told you this wasnt a spur of the moment decision. Ive been wanting to ask you for a little while. I just never expected to blurt it out in the moment. I wanted to do something special but i was so worried you’d say no.” Jax opened the box to reveal a beautiful ring. Tears welled in Delaneys eyes for what must have been the thousandth time that day. “I would never say no. We’ve been through alot. Alex. The baby. Now this. But we always do it together. Youre my world, Jaxon.” Jax placed a kiss on her ring finger before sliding the engagement ring on. It fit perfect and Delaney’s breath hitched in her throat. It was official. She was his.

regarding thoughts on secret life mechanics

SO there are a lot more mechanics going on this season than i realized bc not all of it was mentioned. ill list out what i know/heard:

the tasks, of course. you complete it and you get: 10 hearts and/or rare items. if you have enough room for the 10 hearts, you dont get items. its like an overflow. if you dont finish your task nothing happens. if you fail the task you lose 10 hearts. you can role for a harder task which gives more hearts (? 20?)

you have 30 hearts for each life. imo better to phrase it as you have 30 hearts for each phase-- green is 1, yellow is 2, red is 3. you cannot regen.

you can gift one heart only one time per session.

you can enchant anything with whatever enchant and whatever level, no limits (but no helmets as always)

i have not watched every pov and only heard this from martyn's so correct me if i explained this one wrong: you can get mob eggs, which allow you to make a spawner out of them?

thats... every one that i know of and boy thats so much more than i thought. for the last one, i saw mumbo get an egg but i just thought it was a one off spawn and a rare item from the secret keeper.

most of my criticism for the Life series comes from mechanics because its what ultimately makes the season feel good. it directs how ppl play and act.

third life was exactly what it needed to be for a first season- simple.

LL brought in an active threat, and proper desperation (boogeys were killing and made it hard to trust, more lives with the ability to gift meant getting for more in order to stay alive).

While while DL wasnt at the top of my list after 3L and LL its concept was still simple and they didnt add more to complicate what was already a tough concept to handle-- two players health tied to each other.

limlife is where i started to feel a little off with the mechanics and how it made people play. it was just one new thing (like DL) with just the boogey again, otherwise it was a timer controlling life. its cool but that concept was too complicated imo and even from a technical view it was a bit broken/hard to manage. it was a strong force to make people kill but the consequences of dying got a bit too intense, and the behavior become chaotic to where the killing methods were insanely op. it was imo, hard to follow once the numbers got too low and things were just going back and forth of losing and gaining time.

now we are on SL and i know we are only one episode in so im not hating on it- just observing this series of mechanics... the new mechanics are tasks, giving one heart per person, 30 hearts w no regen, and these spawn egg things (armor enchants are not a mechanic exactly just an adjustment). this is sooooo much stuff!! i was really hoping it would just be 30 no regen hearts and maybe one other thing. because i already feel like the gifting one heart this is kind of pointless? one heart? thats like. nothing. i have little knowledge on this spawn egg stuff but i am trying to understand why its a thing, if its a task thing i think its still kind of unnecessary?? idk.

imo this season should have had one of the things: 30 hearts w no regen (w 3 life phases) or just the tasks (with some kind of tie to lives, but not the former mentioned). honestly the task thing as cool as it is, starts to make this all feel more convoluted when it starts to stack up with more and more. i dont feel like we're focused on the system of limited lives as much and its because the way you gain and lose lives becomes more complicated and in many cases the gaining and losing of hearts is so.... quick? you dont seem to stay on one of those phases for very long before you manage to get back up, there isnt really a limit of saying "nope! you cant have more!" like there was for LL when people who had another life were losing them and eventually ppl had no one to ask for more, and boogey's didnt make you gain more either ya know? Limlife let you gain more time but youd die and lose some, but then go right back and get more, with no limit to it. now, you gain a whole ten hearts which seems like way too much? and you can again just do more tasks to get more hearts without anything stopping you.

the point of this series imo is the intensity of having no way or very limited ways to get more lives and in the end, facing the fact you cannot get out of your red life. 3L kept it simple, LL made sure to stop you at some point, and DL just made it a little different but was basically the same as 3L. i think this is kind of my consensus on whats already making me unsure of this season.

AoS Ep 20, Warning: SPOILERS!!!

JUSTICE FOR THE CROWN PRINCE. I will be so pissed off if they get that lazy with his character that ope, pretty girl is with the other guy so I'm going suddenly not be smart anymore and am going to be manipulated by this known evil guy to be the big baddie because I have a fragile ego and stuff. They better have been playing that up just for cliffhanger purposes or I STG!!!

*Screaming*

WHERE IS BUYEON!? There is no excuse for the lack of explanation as to why this character built up as this divine uber-powerful person and the reason Muldeok is different than other soul shifters... suddenly just isn't doing shit when her body KILLS HER OWN FATHER, FIGHTS HER SISTER, And then goes and kills UK, too, etc. I think it's a bit of BS plot armor to have this whole thing happen anyway, but to not even give us an excuse as to why Buyeon suddenly isn't helping is mega WTF.

*Sobbing*

Obviously Somin IS going to be in S2. At the very least the first ep, but I don't see how she won't be in a number of them. Lady Jin directing her angsty, vengeful daughter to bring back Buyeon('s body) home alive wasn't an accident, and was left completely open, so it's going to be a feature of S2's plot, vengeful Spring and a dark mode danggu (ㅠ_ㅠ) full of hate and a desire for revenge hunting her down. at the VERY least she'll still be looking for Buyeon's body in the first ep. The mom & Buyeon will have to have a closure goodbye scene before we say goodbye to Buyeon for good.

LIKE MAYBE WHEN HE WAS DYING, OR WHEN NAKSU WAS TOUCHING HIM WHILE RUNNING WILD AND HE HAD THE ICE STONE INSIDE HIM, WHICH IS THE THING HE HAD WANTED THE WHOLE TIME TO STOP HER FROM GOING-FUCKING-WILD I CANT BELIEVE THEY DIDNT EVEN EXPLAIN WHY IT DIDN'T DO SHIT FOR EITHER OF THEM UNTIL FIRE TIME.

I am way too upset that my fictional friends are disappointed in and hateful towards mudeoki/naksu. I think their hatred of Naksu isn't realistic at this point, time would have faded some of it, and especially finding out she was someone they knew and liked and that someone they loved loved her... I really don't feel like this sudden "OH SHE MUST DIE IMMEDIATELY" was well written, and that is disappointing.

I want Jin Mu to die in such a horrible and painful way. Please make him suffer so much T_T

Yul left Naksu bc he was told to the first time, right? Kudos to the actor, I'm pretty sure I could see determination solidifying on his heartbroken face that he was NOT going to listen to his family and abandon her a second time. Not when she needs him the most. (Esp since at that point he does not know that Uk was like no thank u to being dead and burned.)

can we just have a group hug/cry rn? Someone pls bring a lot of booze. And/or chocolate. And tissues 😭😭😭😭

so..

didnt want to make a huge deal of it at the time bc anxiety and what have you, buuut since yesterday marked 2 full months from this thingy (perhaps most impactful in my life so far lol), figured i'd do a little post anyway?? felt appropiate what with it being pride month and ya know :zoomies:

(tldr, have two rad little lines going across on my body and feeling more light and normal (in the best kind of way) than i have for years :catlove:) i'm in an incredibly lucky place living situation wise (s/o being in a position where he could take a loan for us, and finland being a country that doesnt generally indiscriminate these kind of things as much) where i could get a good ol operation that single-handedly yoinked off my serious dysphoria and -related anxiety and its been (and still is) so incredibly freeing and pleasant and carefree vibe when ur body feels and looks the way you felt it should have always been. especially when, (tw: dysphoria) increasingly for the past couple years its felt just so incredibly.. wrong? to an extent you felt constantly sick?, for reasons you cant even quite explain?, for features your biology imposed on you without any word on your part, and the societal norms or whatever that came with it??? and just.. the entire lack of choice or being unable to do anything about it?? absolutely worst. do not recommend. unfortunately a fairly common experience in the lgbt circles (that i keep hearing) and something a lot of people have to deal with, unfortunately. so in a very stark comparison, post-op and recovering and just /living/ without those restrictions or weights on ya, it's pretty freakin rad. having authority on the silly little meat vehicle again haha. (recovery wise feel entirely normal and well by now, just the whole 'having a both physical and very taxing mental weight off of the shoulders that i'd not realised how long its been there' has had me feeling very childlike joy and the like, yknow. maybe some of u could tell from the text brrrr nyoomies for a while now huhu :zoomies:) dunno if this is "too personal" or unnecessary or kinda silly to share, but kind of jus wanna put it out there in case there's the odd person in there who feels the same way, incredibly awful for reasons you cant quite explain or even grasp - i promise you're not inherently broken or "wrong", there is a reason for it, gender or neurodivergency wise or otherwise. it sure took me a while, and while it's an unique road for everyone, u can get there, one way or other. for example im more comfy with my brain funnies than i've been in years just from reading more and getting to know likeminded people and overall understanding things better, and that alone has helped me a lot. dont necessarily feel the need to transition anything further body wise either; dont consider myself a trans person, and dunno what kind of label or tag would even fit my gender other than just?? kind of vaguely nonbinary i guess?? since im just.. omee? default person shaped? and for the longest time, it feels good and normal and /right/. dunno. wanted to share the excellent good vibes despite this whole mess of a world situation lol. #textwall #manywords happy pride y'all! every single one of you friendshapes is very important and appreciated ❤️

for context! i'm huge fan of people who are happy with their bodies; its the best possible place to be! and such, want to confirm I dont have and never had anything against female chest in general, im genuinely glad some people can carry themselves with pride and joy, it simply wasnt a concept my brain could accept for me; personally they looked and felt really wrong on me, despite being physically healthy and "normal"; nothing were wrong with my pre- chest shapes except them residing on my body.

short review of g f

so sevil part 2 event!!!!! hoo boy this one was actually really surprising (in a good way). like honestly

so im just kinda gonna list things

-the new friend (galanthalus i think?) gosh he gave me the biggest turnaround. like his story started out with ??? narrator who is uneasily calm in a heckscape with gratuitous ultraviolence and 99.9 percent of the time in this game that means that ??? is going to be the stereotypical "ow the edge unhinged uncaring murderous nonhuman something from another world" (ie the imposter girl from the ninetales events, morgan, etc. you know the cringe gratuitous violence scenerey chewing and not in a good way villans that this game keeps having to try and stop ppl from liking them more than the protagonists but it never works). but then the turnaround reveal that it was just a kid who was trapped in the sword for being not human and had been tortured and overlooked by everyone for centuries just bc he suited their needs? the biggest turnaround. and that the ??? who was talking to him/answering his questions wasnt a condescending big bad but keral who stayed to keep him company out of kindness????? and that both her and krel kinda let him be their child they never had and want to let him go back and live in the world?????? bro......

anyways tldr galan was a very pleasant surprise writing wise and i support him. also he lowkey reminds me of idunn and i dig that so much

-the arc of the main trio! ofc it was very depressing but im glad they didnt go for an ending where "everyone survives everything is fine uwu!" bc i feel like that sort of thing, tho it could happen bc of how op the main cast is, it would make all their suffering and pain feel trivialized and thrown out, and itd make me hate the main cast more (they already made themselves dislikable enough imo, with them guilting sevil to stay towards the middle just bc they didnt want him to leave, with no thoughts abt how hed feel. and that being said i love that the reason he stayed was to help galan, not bc he was guilt tripped into it). like it is really sad what happened, esp to krel at the very end, but it did feel conclusive which was nice (please no sequel. this was a good ending. we dont need a sequel to ruin it, i am looking directly at the knights and perfetto events. and maybe a sideye at the robomi ones for the unnecessary prophecy stuff)

-the side character development! like despite the angst, it all felt very organic (with sevil's story already having that old timey gin tama-ey feel it all seemed to make sense in the setting and not come across as cringe or insensitive angst). esp bc we didnt know a lot abt the characters in the first event, as they werent playable and didnt appear that much (they didnt even get journal entries either smh). so hearing more abt their backstories made them feel a lot more fleshed out. it was sweet seeing them stay to help w galan also, i do wish they were playable tho but it does make sense theyd be npcs

-have not seen gacha sevils story but im hoping its good! itd easily put him with caro and main gacha sturm of characters id really want (not to mention limited studra too ofc)

-and ofc. from kisumiverse side, i feel like kisumi is trying to resist the urge to punch danchou and co. in the face the whole time, while trying to be supportive of sev. who, to be utterly fair, is so wrapped up in his problems he doesnt necessarily notice kisu until towards the end. kisu doesnt want him to apologise as she sees that it isnt his fault, just asks him to take care of himself, and he realizes that he has a genuine alive friend in kisumi. its just a fun "friends dealing with grief and loss and the cycle of grief together" story.

-and then theres also the ending trope which is actually like tooth rottingly cute. "my sister and brother in law died and left behind a child that i am raising alongside my best friend" for some like slice-of-life hallmark movie angst-with-a-happy-ending. like literally. i feel like the sevil + galan + kisumi (w the father daughter too bc theyre cool) could be the casts in some heartwarming family movie or something

anyways this event, easy 9/10. maybe even 10/10. like i dont think g f could have a better event. zodicas was eh (playable ragazzo was easily the best part), knights was really meh, dont talk to me abt the perfetto one, i honestly dont mind no robomi bc the last one had elements i dont care for, everything else was just really bad except the really middle of the road collab and the slightly not so bad but also not impactful one w the grimmir squad. but yea this event is easily the best that theyve had in the last few years
