#i also wanted daia to win
Note
Hello! I've recently taken the plunge and downloaded Ridgeside village for one of my save files. I'm enjoying it so far and I am eyeing some of the romanceable candidates 👀.
So I was wondering, you know the ask a while back about the farmer being oblivious to all of the bachelor and bachelorette's being in love with them? Could you do the same with the Ridgeside characters? And maybe expanded?
Eyyyyy glad you liked the Ridgeside Village mod, dear anon ☺️
I've added both SVE and RSV candidates as well. Sorry if the headcanon came out a bit stilted (wasn't sure what the best format was lol). Thanks for the ask and enjoy 💕
RSV bachelors/ettes with oblivious Farmer:
After the young Pelican Town candidates failed miserably to win the heart of Farmer, who must be the most oblivious person in the world, the bachelors and bachelorettes of Ridgeside Village decided that their time had finally come. They're the ones who can get the Farmer's attention, aren't they? Oh, but they didn't, because they didn't count on two things.
First, there were still competitors in Pelican Town - it was just that the other residents hadn't immediately joined the "hunt". Although Sophia and Victor weren't even sure what was even going on, they just wanted to spend more time with their friend Farmer. Victor, however, tried to give a couple compliments, but the gist of the content of his words apparently didn't get through to Farmer. It's a shame of course, but both Sophia and Victor just get over it and just switch to their own lives (and maybe even each other). Claire also threw a loving glance in the direction of the eternally energetic Farmer, but due to uncertainty and constant fatigue she decided that she had almost no chance (it's not true, but *sigh*). Olivia, of course, could show all these young amateurs how to properly compliment and hint at the object of their affection, but feels it's not her age to go after Farmer. She will respect Farmer's choice, and may even push Victor toward Farmer a little bit so that her son will be more confident.
Second, Ridgeside Village residents doesn't really realize how painfully oblivious Farmer is. All the advances and compliments the Farmer (unknowingly) dodges like a spy film protagonist dodges enemy bullets and lasers. And Jeric and Blair will be the first to question their own flirting abilities. Maybe they should have been more.... assertive?
Standing nearby the restaurant, Corine, Ysabelle and Paula greeted the Farmer more flirtatiously, asking to spend time with them just a little bit more. The girls decided to play fair: to whom the Farmer would pay more attention - the winner. Except that Farmer thanked "their good friends for the compliments" and ran off on their farming business, leaving girls in shock. Paula at least laughed at the comicality of the situation.
Faye and Irene thought that the way to the Farmer's heart was through their stomach, so when the girls found out what were the favourite dishes of the daredevil of the entire Stardew Valley, they immediately began the preparation. The Farmer thanked them not with dates, as the two girls had hoped, but with... fresh fruit from the greenhouse. Shit. Okay, well, at least the fruit is delicious. Bryle, passing by, decided to tease Faye and show her the "real master of pick-up", since he himself had had his eye on Farmer for a long time. A complete fiasco, as you might expect, causing Faye herself to start laughing at her friend's failure. The two will then argue again (but will become a couple in the future, but that's another story).
Anton... Doesn't even look in the Farmer's direction. He wants to try, wants to give them at least one good compliment, but... Why? So that Farmer will be disappointed in him like his ex-fiancée? No, Anton won't risk their friendship for that.
Apparently Yoba itself (or other magical forces) are protecting Farmer from flirting, because there's no way they couldn't pick up on Daia's hints. The girl is almost directly flirting, proposing to become something more, trying to kiss and, pardon my language, "get them into the nearest bush for some fun." "Into the bushes? Maybe we'll find a cute bunny there!" ....Bunny, huh.
But that's at least some effort, though, because Jio didn't come up with anything better at all than to express his flirtation in the form of... completely ignoring Farmer. Like, the more he ignores them, the more interested they'll be in him. Weird logic, and then the grumpy will have a face like "Wait, that's illegal" meme when Farmer ignores his ignore (and Kiwi is now constantly teasing him).
Ian, Kenneth, Phillip and Shiro decide not to act without haste, but to learn from the mistakes of other candidates who have failed on the love front. Slowly but surely, they try to spend more time with Farmer without making any drastic moves yet. And honestly, even if they too fail to endear themselves to Farmer, a caring and loyal friend would be enough for them. Sean also wanted to take leisurely steps at first, but he didn't have the patience and so he heads to the bench with the other losers. Better luck next time!
Zayne is a rather well-mannered young man, and he is not going to impose his company on anyone without their desire. If the Farmers themselves approach him, then he will try to make small talk and apply all his knowledge of flirting. It's a similar situation with June, but he may be a little more stubborn as he, unlike the others, has limited time and will be less likely to do so when he goes back for two whole seasons.
Flor, Alissa and Maddie are pretty shy in that regard, so they'll leave the flirting and sighing heavily when Farmer walks by. It's just that Farmer is a very close friend to them all, and to demand anything more from them is somehow wrong. If only they would notice... *Sigh*
For Kiarra, the best way is to be herself: no intrusive flirting, no those innuendos. Just have a nice time with a (so far) friend and not worry about anything. And then - just ask Farmer straight out. Do they want to date? Yay, Farmer and Kiarra have become a couple. They don't want to date? Yay, Farmer and Kiarra remain best friends. It's simple.
Magnus, who decided to introduce Lance to Mr. Aguar, became unwitting spectators of an oblivious Farmer being chased by a crowd of admirers. It's a funny situation, really. Heh, maybe Magnus would have joined them, but he decided to let fate take its course. If he's meant to be with Farmer in this dimension, then so be it, but if not, well, just suck it up and move on. Lance, on the other hand, believes he's in charge of his own destiny, and his sly smile suggests that he'll take matters into his own hands once the competition has died down. He has a couple of trump cards up his sleeve....
...............
And somewhere nearby, the much-admired Lenny is sitting on a bench, eating popcorn and watching the whole thing like a favourite comedy show. "Huh, and they said there'd be no fun in old age!".

Doorways
Maul and Daia somehow finds themselves in a world they weren’t sure existed.  They find more than just visions of their past.  Can he change his past?  Their future?  Maybe if they find the right doorway, they can avert disaster.  If they find it, should they?  Perhaps another voice, or two, in the darkness can help them find answers to their questions about this new world.
A/N: Daia Veeral is my own OC.  A former Jedi turned smuggler who found herself working for Maul before befriending him and eventually the two fell for each other.
Word count: 6.1K?!  How did I make a one shot that long?
Tumblr media
Darkness filled the sacred space.  It was silent, untouched and pristine, as no being had stepped foot in this realm for centuries.  Everything was still, save for the darkened portals scattered across the entirety of the pocket reality.  Suddenly the stillness shattered as a portal split open and threw two beings into nothingness.  Maul and Daia stumbled together as they tried to find footing on the nonexistent ground.  All around them, dark portals burst to life as glowing pathways spread out in every direction from where the two stood.
The human woman spoke first, “What just happened?  Last I checked, there wasn’t a hole in the universe in my cargo hold.”  The two turned to see the way they had entered still glowed behind them.  Through the shimmering hole in space they could see the interior of the Fever Dream, as if it were nothing more than a simple doorway.  She reached out to touch the image and her hand passed through into the space of her ship.  The air on the other side of the portal was warmer than the cool space around them.  She pulled her hand back to rejoin the rest of her body and circled around the entrance.  It was a perfect circle, floating in the air that could be entered from either side.  The two dimensional doorway nearly disappeared from the side, save for the glowing haze around it.  “I’m dreaming.  We’re dreaming.  We passed out and we’re sharing a dream.”
“This is no dream.  Something, the Force perhaps, brought us here.”  Maul walked along one of the paths before them, taking in the empty expanse before him.  Small lights that could almost be stars shone in every direction around them.  “The question is, where are we and why?”
Daia followed after him, nearly tripping over herself as her curiosity took over.  Hours upon hours digging through holopads and hardcopy books in the Jedi Archives flooded through her memories.  Something about this place was familiar, she just had to place it.  “I think I know this place.  I read about it as a Padawan in something called the ‘Chain Worlds Theorem’.  It’s a place where every point in time and space connects.  I thought it was just a story or a metaphor for enlightenment.”  Her feet took her to the first portal before she realized what she was doing.  It held an image from her own childhood, her Gathering.  Her robes were torn and her curly hair had snarled itself into a matted mess from tumbling through the ice caves of Ilum.  “I found my saber crystals that day.  I couldn’t believe that I’d found two.”
Maul peered into the image of Daia’s past.  A small smile crept onto his face at the image of her past self completely disheveled and beaming with pride at the crystals in her hand.  “You were adorable.”  She flicked his arm lightly once she’d peeled herself away from watching her own childhood.  Maul followed another path a few steps before stopping dead in his tracks.  “The World Between Worlds!  I found this in my studies.  My master was obsessed with finding it.”  His eyes darted around from gateway to gateway as all the pieces fell into place.  “The ancient Sith believed that one could know the future and change the past from this place.”  He took off for the next gateway at a sprint, ideas rushing through his mind.  As if reading his thoughts, the next portal showed him exactly what he was looking for.  Inside the glowing ring he saw himself, over a dozen years younger and pacing before a red laser gate.  His most hated enemy stood on the other side of the gate.  “I can change it.”  His hand hovered before the portal nearly touching its surface.
“Maul wait!”  Daia appeared at his side.  “Don’t do it.  You don’t know what the consequences are.”
“Consequences?  I should have walked away victorious, not fallen into madness.”  His eyes flashed in anger as the memory played out before the two.
She placed her hand over his and pulled his arm down to his side.  “Okay, say you win that fight.  What happens then?  You go back to Sidious, you stay his apprentice, his slave.  Then what?  What makes you think that would be any better?”
Maul snarled as he pondered her words.  He knew she was right.  Changing his past did not guarantee that he would be pleased with the outcome.  On the other hand, he was right there.  All he had to do was reach out and his fate would be changed.  He was resourceful, intelligent, he could change his destiny to whatever he chose.  Yet, something stopped him.  He couldn’t say what but something stayed his hand.  He pulled away and looked back to her.  “What if we change a different day?”
“What day are you talking about?”
“You’re right.  I would have been Sidious’s slave the rest of my life had I walked away from that fight.”  He clenched his fist at his side before he turned away from the memory.  “What if we find a different day?  One that we can both agree was unnecessarily cruel to both of us.”
She watched the emotions play over his face as she considered his idea.  There was no doubt in her mind to what day he was referencing.  “This is a dangerous path, Maul.  I want him back too but we don’t know what will happen.”
Maul clasped both of her hands in his.  “What damage can it possibly do?  Savage is through one of these portals.  All we need to do is step through and bring him with us.”  His voice turned from his usual strong tone to pleading with his next words, “Let me have this.  Let me save my brother.”
“If we do this-”
The world lit up behind her and another figure stepped into the darkness.  A voice echoed out of the shadows.  “The past is the past.  It is not to be rewritten.”
Violet, silver, and crimson lit the world around the pair as they drew their lightsabers and spun to face the intruder.  The two stepped apart from each other in unison to flank the third figure.  Maul growled into the shadows.  “Show yourself!”
The voice came again, sounding not unlike Maul’s own.  This one was rougher, more world weary.  “Lower your weapons.  I mean you no harm.”  The figure walked into the light with his hands held out at his sides.  Before them stood a red skinned Dathomirian, with the same fiery eyes, the same crown of horns, the same tattoos, the same droid like legs as Maul.  The only real difference between the two men was the second one appeared older.  The older man walked closer to the pair and studied Maul with the same intensity that Maul was studying him.
Maul, the first one, lowered his saber and stared closely at the older man.  “How is this possible?”
“I know as much as you.  Something brought me here and then I saw you try to change our past.”  The two circled each other like two nydaks mirroring one another before they fought for the same territory.  “You want proof that we are the same.  Very well.  Tell me, what will satisfy you?”
The younger man snarled slightly and stepped away from his older counterpart.  “When I, we, were taken from Dathomir as a child, my mother said something to me that I have never forgotten.  If you and I are the same, then you have the same memory.”
The two men spoke the same words in perfect unison, “Walk tall, safe in the knowledge that your mother shall always walk by your side.”
The crimson blades that illuminated the space around the two finally retracted once Maul accepted the answer.  “No other being has ever heard those words.  We are the same.”  He took a final look at his older self, taking in every new scar, every wrinkle.  The man was thinner, as if he’d been unable to eat properly for some time, but still a powerful adversary should the wrong person cross him.  He still held himself with the strength and pride he always had, but this one also held a sadness that Maul didn’t recognize.  “How old are you?  What happened to you?”
The older man chuckled slightly.  “I believe I am 51.  I may be 52.  Time stopped meaning much of anything to me quite some time ago.  By the looks of you, you must be around 35.”  Maul nodded in response.  “As for your other question, I cannot tell you.  As I said, the past should not be rewritten.”  He turned to the side at the sound of Daia’s sabers still thrumming in the air.  “Daia?  Is that you?”  He took a few steps in her direction.  “It is.  You look as beautiful as ever.”
She eyed the man with suspicion, still remaining unconvinced of his identity.  “How do I know you didn’t hear what you just told him in one of these portals?  For all we know you’re a changeling assassin Sidious sent after us.”
“True, I might be one of his tricks.  I see his cruelty is still fresh in your mind.  The two of you must have been on Stygeon recently.”  He flinched at the memory.  “If you won't trust me, then trust your own feelings.”  He came as close as she allowed and locked her gaze with his.  “Do you remember that night in the desert on Mandalore?  I told you that you shone like the stars.  You told me that you loved me.  I was terrified at what that meant, but you soothed any fears I had.”
She stared back into his eyes as the man told her the story she held close to her heart.  His eyes the same fire she always found in Maul’s, his passion, his mind that never stopped flying at lightspeed, the love he held for her and her alone.  With a quick glance back at the Maul she had arrived with, she saw him nod to her and mouth the words, ‘He is me’ and she placed her weapons back under her jacket.  “It is you."  She reached out to place her hand on the side of his face.  He was thinner than her own Maul, and while the years had hardly aged him, she could still see some of the marks time had left on him.  The furrow between his brows was deeper as was the crow's feet at the corners of his eyes.  The hint of laugh lines brought a smile to her face.  She'd kept him smiling through the years.  "You’re...you’re…”
He leaned slightly into her touch.  “An old man, I know.”
She laughed lightly, “I was going to say you’re still handsome.”  That brought a small smile to his face.  “Last I checked, early fifties wasn’t old.”  She looked back where he came from and saw the familiar interior of a Mandalorian fighter with no one on the other side.  “Why are you here alone?”
He glanced at where the ground should be beneath their feet.  Something the others could only describe as regret passed across his face.  “I was on a personal mission.  I had left the syndicate in your hands in my absence.”
She was stunned at the idea of running Maul’s crime syndicate herself.  She’d never seen herself as one that others would look up to and follow.  Maybe some of his skills as a natural leader will rub off on her.  “Am I good at it?”
“Amazing.”  He breathed out the reply.
Before the conversation between the three could continue, a bright flash of light filled the darkness again as a fourth figure tumbled through into the empty world.  Behind him they saw the interior of a ship wholly unfamiliar to Daia but very well known to the men beside her.  The man was on his feet in a flash, red double bladed saber snapping to life in an instant.  “Where am I?!”  Anger rolled off of the man in massive waves.  If this were Maul, he had yet to master his own rage.
The eldest zabrak held out his hand in an attempt to calm the young man.  "Calm yourself.  No one here will harm you."
This new man was unlike the other two.  He was wild and full of a barely contained rage that simmered just beneath the surface.  Exactly what a Sith apprentice would be.  His eyes darted between the people before him as he stood ready to pounce at the first sign of aggression.  "What is this?  Some sort of test?"  A quick growl escaped the young Sith.  "A trick of the Jedi?"
"No test.  No trick.  No Jedi."  The older man still had his hands out and gestured to the two standing beside him.  "The three of us all managed to stumble into this place from different times."
"Who is she?"  The youngest quickly tipped his head in Daia's direction.
Maul stepped forward defensively, answering the young man's challenge.  "One of the few good things in your life.  Now put your weapon away before I take it from you."  He lacked the depth of patience his older counterpart had cultivated over the years.
No longer content to stay in the same place, the young Maul began pacing back and forth as he spat his accusations at the three.  "You tell me this is no Jedi trick, then why can I feel the Force around that one?  She’s clearly been well trained.  It screams Jedi."  His pacing stopped abruptly and he lunged forward, blade aimed for Daia's neck.
In a brilliant flash of violet and silver she caught his blade before he could remove her head from her shoulders.  He pulled back for a second attack before two more crimson blades joined the fray and knocked his attacks off course.  The space was aglow with red light, the blades hissing and crackling against each other.  Somewhere amidst the sea of red, one of the older zabraks had twisted the saber from the youngest's grip and threw him backwards several meters.  He was back on his feet in an instant.
"Enough!"  Maul bellowed at the young man as he took possession of his saber.  Now that his short lived attack was over, every blade was deactivated as quickly as they had snapped to life.
Daia took her opportunity to examine her youthful attacker.  She circled around him taking in what made him different from the other two.  She first realized that he was smaller than the others.  Where before she reached just under Maul's chin, this man's eyes marked the top of her head instead.  Besides his age, he was more on edge, his eyes constantly sought for any sign of attack all around him.  Whereas she'd known Maul to be more still and patient than herself, this man never seemed to stop moving.  This was Maul, the Sith.  He wasn’t Maul, the crime lord or Mand'alor.  He was not the man she knew.  Not yet.  "So this is Maul, the great Sith Lord.  You're shorter than I expected."
He stood tall and proud.  His chin lifted slightly.  "Darth Maul."  He emphasized the title more than his name.  He really was a Sith, the Sith she had heard so much about when she was still a Jedi.  The first anyone had seen in a millennia.
"Cute title."  She smiled at him.  "You'll have a better one some day."
It was his turn to begin circling her.  "Do not mock me, Jedi.  You may find yourself as my next target."
"Oh, he's a cocky little shit."  She shouted to her companion.  "Just to let you know, I've fought you before.  You're very good, but not as good as you think you are little Sith."  She flashed a challenging grin at the young Sith as she matched his pace step for step.
He never took his eyes off of her.  Her lack of fear in the face of the man that should bring certain death for her kind kept the man intrigued.  Without looking away he addressed his fellow zabraks, "Tell me, is this Jedi always this difficult?"
Maul shook his head as he chuckled fondly.  "Yes."
"You have no idea." answered the eldest with a smile on his face.
"Oh the ex-Jedi argument."  Daia took a step closer to young Maul.  A threatening growl rose in his throat at her defiance.  "We haven't had that one in a long time.  This'll be fun."
Maul let out a long sigh of frustration at his mate's behavior.  "Daia, stop antagonizing me...him."  She winked at her adversary and backed away, giving the young man space to breathe and think again.  "We still have no idea why we have been brought to this place.  Was this all just chance or has the Force brought us here for a purpose?"
"This place,"  the future Maul walked about the empty space, taking in the immensity of the darkened world around them.  "the World Between Worlds, can give a person the power to change the past and the future.  It was hidden for a reason.  It needs to remain that way."  As if reacting to his words, several gateways around the group flared to life, showing various moments of Maul and Daia's lives.  As quickly as they opened, the gateways snapped shut again.
No longer on the offensive,  the apprentice's eyes widened in wonder at the possibilities before him.  "The World Between Worlds?  My master has been searching for this place."  Daia could see the same ideas flicker across his face that she had seen pass across Maul's a few minutes before.
"We know.  Every memory in your head is in ours."  The elder pointed to the junior man's head and then to his own.
The apprentice snorted incredulously,  "I have no reason to believe that."
Maul snapped at his past self.  His patience with himself was wearing thin.  "Have your eyes failed you, boy?  Or do you just refuse to believe them?"
Daia stifled a laugh, "Have you always been that stubborn and suspicious?  I thought that was a recent development."
Maul scowled at the apprentice, "It appears that I have."
Their elder spoke up to prevent another outburst between the two.  "It appears he needs to be convinced just as you did.  Shall we?"  Maul rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement.  "On the day you left home, your mother whispered something to you.  What was it?"
All three men spoke the same words in near perfect unison.  Their faces all lost in a shared memory.  "Walk tall, safe in the knowledge that your mother shall always walk by your side."
The young Sith took a step back from the other two.  He'd never told another soul about what she had told him.  "How did you know that?"
"As we said, we are you.”  The oldest answered.  “Your future."
"If you are me," the Sith moved closer and eyed the two men up and down, "then explain why I appear to have gotten taller."
Maul looked down and was silent a moment as he searched for the words to answer.  "There was...an incident during a battle."  Both men held out a synthetic leg.  Maul tapped his shin with the end of his lightsaber.  The metallic clang drove his point home.  "Our legs were replaced afterwards.  We are taller as a result."
"You are saying I lose in combat?  Impossible."  Young Maul shook his head in disbelief.  "I would be dead if I had lost."
"Fine."  Maul waved a dismissive hand.  "Don’t believe me.  Instead believe that you had a growth spurt in your 30s."
The Sith's eyes focused on the saber hills on each man's belt.  They were both the same double bladed design as his own, but not the exact same weapon.  "Those lightsabers you carry.  They are not mine."
"They are now."  Maul tossed the young Sith's lightsaber back to him.
"I have a question."  Daia held up her hand like a patient student.  "What do we call each of you right now?  You're all Maul but that's going to get confusing fast."  The three looked at each other.  She had a valid point.  They couldn't keep calling each other 'you'.
The youngest man spoke up first, his head held high and proud as he named himself.  "Sith."
Maul stood looming over the younger man.  "You are an apprentice, Apprentice."  The apprentice sneered up at him but gave no argument.  "I suppose we can address me as Lord for now."
The eldest man looked to Daia while he chose his new name.  "Shadow."
"That's what I call him."  She glanced over to Lord.
"I know."  Shadow gave her a soft smile.  "You never stopped."
Apprentice interrupted Shadow's reminiscing.  They still had more pressing matters than old pet names to discuss.  "Again, what are we doing here?  If I could bring knowledge of this place back with me, perhaps my master-"
"No!"  Shadow shouted.  "He must never know of this place."  He knew his old master's mind too well to let the thought take root in his younger self's mind.
"Why?"
"Your master has been feeding you lies since you were a boy.  Giving him this power would be one of the worst mistakes you could make."  Lord chose to press on what he knew to be Apprentice's greatest fear.  "Do you wish to remain his slave forever?"  The thought sent a shiver down Lord's spine.
Apprentice thought about what Lord had said to him.  It was true, he didn't wish to remain under Sidious's control for the rest of his life.  He walked amongst the gateways, catching glimpses of his past beyond each one.  One gate showed him walking the halls of a palace he had never seen before.  Beside him walked two nervously fidgeting Neimoidians.  They appeared to be conversing with a holoprojection of his master.  "Then we use it to peer into the future.  With that knowledge we could mold it to suit our needs.  Take whatever power we seek and control our own lives."
Daia reached out to stop him before he saw too far into his own future.  "That won't work, Apprentice.  The future isn't static, it changes with every choice we make."
"Precisely."  Lord paced while he spoke, one hand on his chin as his mind raced.  "The only changes one could make that would hold any amount of certainty are those in the past, like the one we were about to make before we were interrupted."  Lord fixed his gaze upon Shadow before searching amongst the points of time playing out before him.  He'd glimpsed Savage in one of them for just a moment out of the corner of his eye but lost him just as quickly.
Shadow snapped him out of his contemplation.  "Lord, for the final time, you cannot do that!"  His fingers came up to pinch the bridge of his nose.  He needed a moment to recollect himself before he could continue.  "Rewriting the past, no matter how tempting will have consequences you cannot forsee."
Lord was in Shadow's face in an instant.  "So I should just leave him to die?!"
"Who are you talking about?" Apprentice's confused voice broke through the tension between the other two.
Lord dismissed Apprentice's question with a wave of his hand.  "It is none of your concern."
Daia put herself between the two men and addressed Lord.  "Maybe this conversation should be a little more private.”  Apprentice didn’t need to be made aware of what his future held any more than he already had.  She turned to face the young Sith.  “Apprentice, do you speak Mando'a?"
"No."
Her plan for privacy may work.  "Shadow, how is yours?"
An answer in perfect Mando’a was all Shadow needed.  "I still speak it just fine."  He had maintained his fluency over the years.  That brought a spark of pride about Daia’s skills as a teacher.
Daia quickly glanced over to Apprentice who only offered her a shrug.  He had no idea what was being said.  "If you don't want to change anything, then maybe he shouldn't know about Savage yet."  The mention of his long lost brother’s name drew Apprentice’s attention but he quickly dismissed it as a mistranslation on his part.
"Very well.”  Shadow fixed his attention back to Lord.  “I understand wanting to bring him back, but it can not happen."
Lord snarled directly into his aged face.  "And who are you to tell me what I can and can not do?  We would still be eating insects while babbling to ourselves in a cave on Lotho Minor if not for Savage!  I failed my brother and you are telling me that there is nothing I can do to avert that failure when the very thing I need in order to do that is staring me in the face!"  The Force snapped and crackled around the two men as their tempers flared.
"I am you!”  Shadow flung Lord back a few steps.  “That is who I am.  I lived with that failure for 15 years and have lived with more failures than I care to think about.”  The anger on his face was quickly replaced with a look of regret.  “I tried everything in my power to restore what I have lost.  Every single one comes at a price.  This price is something none of us can know until it is too late."
Some of the tension between the two Mauls dissipated as Daia spoke up.  "You keep bringing that up.  What sort of price are you talking about?"
A deep sigh escaped Shadow while he sought for the words to answer her.  His metal feet clicked on nothingness as he paced while he thought.  "In all my years of research, I have found evidence of exactly two people to successfully reach this plane and change their own past.  The results were disastrous for both.  In their personal logs they had each documented how the galaxy changed around them, at first for the better.  As time continued on, more misfortune fell upon them.  They found themselves compelled to alter their past more and more until they ultimately destroyed themselves.  Even the slightest change can have unforeseen effects on the future." Shadow stared wistfully into one of the portals for some time before he shook his head and continued.  "There is so much I desperately desire to change from this place, but the cost is too high."
Lord opened his mouth to argue but the empty space had its own ideas.  Every portal as far as any of the four could see shook and flickered in and out of existence.  The pathways that connected them all disappeared beneath their feet.  The solid nothingness momentarily lost form, throwing the group off balance.  Human and zabraks collided with each other before they could find their feet again.  "What was that?”  Apprentice asked.  “The entire world shook."
"We are running out of time here.”  Shadow answered urgently.  “Soon our respective doorways will close and we shall all be trapped if we don't leave."
"So….what?”  Daia yelled into the darkness.  “We were all pulled here for nothing?"
"I believe what happened was that by chance the two of you found an entrance into this place.  Once he entered,”  Shadow pointed to Lord, “it pulled the two of us here as well."
"So we all just what?  Go home and forget this,”  Daia held her hand out to the other three and the expanse around them, “ever happened?"
"Perhaps,”  Lord said  “Shadow is right.  The best course of action is to keep this place hidden from Sidious.  It holds a power he should never have access to."
"What do I say when I go back?”  Apprentice muttered to the others.  “You both know what happens when I fail."  Anxiety and fear rolled off of him at the idea of returning to his master a failure.
"Say nothing, Apprentice.”  Lord placed his hands on the younger man’s shoulders in an effort to calm him.  He understood the fear Apprentice was feeling all too well.  “Tell him you succeeded at whatever mission you've been sent on and nothing more.  This isn't the only secret you have kept from him."
He quickly nodded in agreement.  "Very well.  I hope to never see this place or you three again."  A small smirk came to the man’s face for the first time.
Lord gestured to himself and Shadow.  "Clearly you will."
"Remember, not to let your hubris blind you.  You are skilled, but not invincible."  Shadow’s parting wisdom left the man with a look of mild confusion but he listened to the older man’s words carefully.
Daia placed a hand on the young Sith’s cheek.  He flinched and stiffened at the contact but accepted the small act of affection. He couldn’t remember the last time he had received any "Be kind to yourself, Apprentice.”  She rose to her toes and placed a kiss just below his horns.  “The galaxy has been cruel enough to you."
Apprentice turned and ran for the portal to his ship.  Small waves lapped across its surface once he stepped through back into his own time.  He nodded a farewell to his counterparts and the portal snapped shut.  The space where it had been moments before was dark and pristine once again.  It was as if he had never been there at all.  As if reacting to the sudden change, surrounding portals snapped in and out of existence once again.  The ground shifted from solid nothingness to a consistency closer to soft sand.  The three were thrown to the ground with a greater force than the previous quake.  Every light flickered for several moments before everything came to a standstill.
Lord rose first and held out a hand to assist Daia in rising to her feet. "These quakes are getting worse.  We need to leave."
Shadow found his way back to his feet.  He straightened his clothing as he stood straight again.  "I agree.  We need to get back to our respective times.”  The three followed the glowing path back to the portal that led to Shadow’s time.  The empty interior of the Nightbrother still waited for him on the other side.  “I do have one request before we all leave."
"I won't change anything.”  Lord couldn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes.
"Not from you.”  Shadow looked down to his mate’s past self standing before him and gave her a warm smile.  “Daia, would you give an old man one last kiss goodbye?"
She returned his grin.  "Of course I will."  She again brought her hand to Shadow’s face like before.  His eyes fell shut as he allowed her to guide his face down to hers when she brushed her lips against his.
He held his hand over her own as he returned the soft kiss she granted him.  His eyes remained closed and he brushed his nose against hers as he pulled away.  "I miss you, my love.”  He whispered as he opened his eyes to look into hers.  “I will find you again in the Force."
Before she could question him, Shadow let go of his hold on her hand and turned to return back to his own time.  Daia reached out and shouted after him, "Wait, what?  Maul!”  He stepped through to his own time as she attempted to stop him.  “What do you mean?!   What happened?!"  He left the two with a smile and the portal snapped shut.  Again the world shook and fell between existence and non existence.
Maul took hold of Daia’s hand and pulled her back from the empty space where the portal had been.  "We need to go.  Now!"  The two took off running for their home.  The quakes around them grew in intensity.  Pathways and gateways rapidly flashed in and out of existence.  Their own portal opened and closed before them as they drew closer and closer to their own time.  The two dropped into a sprint towards home.  The view of the Fever Dream’s cargo hold snapped open and closed with every step.  Lights went out behind them and the ground began to gave way to nothingness as they leapt through the portal into the cargo hold.  The gateway snapped shut with a hiss.
The pair laid on the cold floor of Daia’s ship, safe and back in their own time.  They stayed there in silence for a few moments.  The only sounds to be heard besides the ship’s life support system cycling clean air was the heavy breathing as they processed what just happened to them.
Daia was the first to stand.  “We made it.”  She offered a hand to Maul as he pushed himself off the floor.
He took her hand and pulled himself upright.  “So we did.”
She squeezed his hand, refusing to let go of him.  “Do you....remember that happening to you?”
Maul’s face was one lost in thought as he searched his memories.  “Yes?  The memory is hazy but it’s there.  I thought it was all a dream.  How could I not have?”  He looked down and brushed a thumb across Daia’s cheek.  She leaned into the affectionate gesture.  “I do remember what you said.  I never listened but thank you for trying.”
“What do you think he meant?  He said he misses me.”  A tear escaped her eye.  The older man had been so sad.  So full of regret.  “What happened to him?”
Maul wiped away the tear.  He lowered his head to place his forehead on hers.  He never dropped her gaze while he spoke.  “I don’t know but I do know that whatever befell that man will not happen to us.  I will not allow it.”
She shook her head despite his assurances.  “You don’t even know what happened to him.”
“I don’t need to know what happened to him.”  Determination filled Maul’s entire being.  “I will not be him.”  He pulled her into a kiss and for a few minutes the two stayed like that, holding on to each other in the cargo hold of a smuggler’s ship.  Finally the two broke apart and headed towards the cockpit.  Daia took her usual seat in the pilot’s chair and Maul in the copilot seat.  They punched in the hyperspace coordinates for home.  She activated the hyperdrive and the ship was thrown into hyperspace, towards Mandalore and whatever future awaited them.
____________________________________________________________
A young Darth Maul stepped back through a glowing portal into the sleeping quarters of the Scimitar.  He took a quick look around and everything was exactly the same as he had last seen it.  The only sign that he had been disturbed at all was that his bunk had been rendered a complete mess.  The young man resigned himself to the reality that whatever had just befallen him had been nothing more than a vision from the Force.  Perhaps he had simply been dreaming and tumbled from his bunk.  Whatever it was, there was nothing he could do about it now except return to his master.  Darth Maul cleaned up the mess that was his sleeping quarters and made his way to the cockpit of his Sith Infiltrator.  His master waited for him on Coruscant, so Coruscant was where he needed to be.  He would not speak of this vision.  He would serve his master well and one day face his destiny as the next Dark Lord of the Sith.
____________________________________________________________
Maul, the Old Master, entered the portal to the Nightbrother, ignoring Daia’s shouts behind him.  He took one last look at himself with her by his side and the portal snapped shut, leaving him once again alone in his ship.  He took his place in the pilot’s seat and began methodically entering hyperspace coordinates.  His mind focused on where he was what headed and the task he had sought out to complete.  Atollon was the world he sought out.  From there he could find the young man that would be his apprentice and sort out the jumble of information the two had gathered from their joined holocrons.  With the boy’s help, his mission would be complete.  Maul hesitated before activating the hyperdrive, his mind returning to the detour he had just found himself.  To his mate whom he missed dearly.  “Just a little longer, my love.  I will find him and do what I need to do.  Perhaps then I can find you in the afterlife.  Wait for me just a little longer.”  The viewport before him filled with streaks of light as his ship was thrown into hyperspace and towards his fate.

I didn’t mean to get a week behind. It’s just that the place I normally watch the episodes wasn’t uploading, and of course for an episode like this by the time I get to watch it, it’s been spoiled so badly by Tumblr it doesn’t even feel worth it anymore......................... BUT .............. YKNOW.......................
Well okay, okay I do still have TONS to say about this episode regardless.
The first half of this episode was the best kind of filler. The just let’s check up on characters we haven’t seen in a while filler. Love it.
So yeah. I guess virtual Daia, or rather mascot Daia as I can now officially call her can just change into “dark” Daia at will? I’m cool with that except for I hate the way they explained it on the show. They said it was her “idol mascot form” which makes zero sense (they make it sound like it’s her default idol form when it’s clearly not) so I’ll just go with my explanation instead.
.............UNLESS...........
The three forms of Daia are actually chibi Daia -> normal Daia -> dark Daia....
*brain explosion*
Of course the truth of the matter is they didn’t bother/couldn’t afford to make different performance models for Nijinosaki and Daia even though all they would have to do is take the rainbows out of the eyes? (How Nijinosaki gets rainbows in her eyes only when she performs was never fully explained since PriPara change does not exist in PriChan.)
By the way, apparently Daia is now the most popular character not only in PriChan but in like... ALL of Pretty Series according to a recent Prism Stone poll. After getting over the initial shock of #1 being a PriChan character, it does make sense. Daia is a character who appeals to both children and adults. She appeals to adults because she is a complex, layered character. And she appeals to children because well... let’s be honest kiddos love colorful characters with pigtails. But what’s so interesting about this is that whenever you see Daia, like on merch or something, you never truly know if it’s Nijinosaki or mascot Daia because they both perform with the rainbow eyes. But, all things considered, maybe that was intentional after all because it makes her a more complex character.
OH, but as confusing as it all is, I think having Nijinosaki and mascot Daia form a duo is actually a wonderful idea. Because they both are getting exactly what they wanted in season two. Nijinosaki gets to perform for herself, but Daia still gets to be with her <3
Wow that was a huge Daia rant OKAY NEXT ANJU
So apparently Anju is a Designer 13 now and WAIT. Wasn’t that literally what we spent THE ENTIRE FIRST SEASON trying to prevent from happening. And now it’s just happened off-screen and it’s supposed to be like oh ok.
Oh. Ok.
Except Anju not being a princess means probably no new Anju song this season either which is significantly less OK.
Well she’s married with kittens to Aira now so I guess I’m happy for her living her best life.
I guess one of the positives about this episode being spoiled was that otherwise I would have been so pissed off about Oshama Tricks. I still kinda am. Even though they took it well, that was still pretty mean Meganii GEEZ.
Also boo no Twintails performance.
But one last thing: the Castle coord huh!? To think in all these years of Pretty Series we’ve never had a coord just called “Castle Coord” haha.
The use of the word “Princess” in singular is really throwing me off here because no matter who wins where will be more than one winner now, right? ....RIGHT???
(Just checking that at least Emo and Rinka will get the coord this time too.)

Kiratto Prichan Episodes 103-104
Tumblr media
Disneyland is looking a bit different.
Season 3! Oh my Lord, I can't believe I'm finally here. I wish I could come here and be a little more excited because I was watching this and I was having a lot of fun, but at the same time, I couldn't really care for much of what was going on at the same time. Weird, I know. But I think this is a sign we're in the path for me to start enjoying Prichan again, it's just the spring cleaning of my feelings for last season that is taking too long.
A fun thing I noticed here is that I didn't really feel the change from S2 to S3 as much as I felt the change from S1 to S2. I think at this point I'm more used to the weirdness in this show so when a rich corporation comes around and builds a huge theme park out of nowhere and now you can interact with virtual mascots without entering a digital world I just buy it as it is. XD
Tumblr media
The dynamic for this season also doesn't seem to change much from season 2, I mean when you look at it the Princess Cup thing is pretty much the Jewel Collection but with the Daia Fests integrated into, and now to win you gotta win the most of this seasons' gimmick cord instead of the gimmick coord being like your entrance number for the final contest. It's a simple thing, and it was presented in a fun way so I'm curious.
Tumblr media
Like I said there weren't that big changes in characters, so there's no much point in doing a section to talk about Kiratts and Meltic and what changed for them because it's pretty much still the same. I just don't get why Anna seems so blood-thirsty with this rivalry between the two groups now, but in Episode 104 she seems fine to be loosing, so I think this is more a thing of an external influence rather than what Anna truly feels so I think I'm okay with this sudden change.
Tumblr media
The new toy gimmick of this season is the PritamaGOand I really don't like this thing, it feels like they've been downgrading from season to season instead of upgrading in terms of things that were supposed to make Prichan easier. However I do like the mascots thing, it feels a bit weird because it's one mascot for the whole team but it feels like KiracCHU and Melpan only have a connection to Mirai and Anna, but since this is still only the beginning of the season it is understandable that this would start with the centers.
Tumblr media
And since I'm talking about the mascots let'stalk about the new characters of this season.
I had no opinion on KiracCHU before and I don't have an opinion her now. But I'm really disappointed at Melpan because from the promo images I was "OMG I LOVE HER, SHE'S MY DAUGHTER", but GOSH SHE'S ANNOYING!!! I hope this is just a very bad first impression and that she gets better as time goes on because I could barely stand her. The other character that didn't really leave an impression on me was Meganii, he's supposed to be quirky and all but to me he's just whatever, and I already got that the joke about him will be "what's his relation with Meganee?" and from what was shown I already know this will never be explained and it will grow old very fast as a joke (in my case it already did).
Tumblr media
The other new set of characters is Alice, Eve, and their mascots. I love them both, Alice is a lot of fun, and I love how despite looking more serious and everything Eve is just as much of an air-head as Alice is.
But I have a few problems, first is their age, like the girls be here looking like they're in the same age range as Anju but they want me to believe they're in the same age as Mirai and the other girls, which I believe is mentioned in episode 103 that is 13 or something? And like, Alice lives alone in a camper that is also how she works to make a living for herself, this doesn't sound like a life of a 13-year-old. This show can throw me some absurd things and I'll buy it but there are some things that are just ridiculous, especially when they already have adult characters that are also idols in this show, they don't need to do this.
Tumblr media
Another thing they didn't have to do was make Alice's backstory so easy to figure out. Like, they could've said that Alice was born in Japan without mentioning that she was baby her father found in the back of a giraffe. Like, it's so obvious now that Alice and Eve are sisters, it'll take all the joy of the confirmation whenever it happens. Of course, there are things yet to be revealed like how did they get separated, but the show is somehow trying to imply that Luluna has something to do with it because of that shady scene at the end of Ep104, and I'm not here for it. I already said this and I'll say it again, we don't need villains to have conflict in idol anime. This really bugged me and not even Luluna's gorgeous human form can make me overlook this fear I'm feeling.
Tumblr media
I think the only thing left to comment on is the music. I like the opening song, it's not my favorite but I do like it, and I love the visuals. The ending song is shit, I'm sorry, but it is very gorgeous visually. I'm still not sure how I feel about Kiratts' new song, I like the chorus but everything else is just more of the same, but I was never much of a fan of Kiratts' songs so it's not surprising. But I call bs in that explanation thing that they've done for the new song, as fun as that escape room thing was I don't buy that they learned the new song subconsciously from that, they could've just been blatant about it and say they had a new song, this is one of the cases were explaining things too much is worse than leaving us in the dark. But I do like their new coords, I think it's my favorite Kiratts group coord from all seasons so far.
Tumblr media
I think that's all I had to say. I have a few complaints bout some minor stuff like they treating dessert pizza like if they were discovering electricity when sweet pizzas have been around for ages, but I rather don't waste either mine or your time with those things. What did you think of these episodes? Share your thoughts with me in the comments. Stay healthy, stay safe, never stop resisting, thanks for reading, and until the next time. See ya~

since i saw you mentioning some time ago you wanted to write more about RSV, i have one request with some characters from there (+ Haley because i love her), with a little scenario i imagined a few days ago and have been brainrotting about it ever since.
so could you write some (romantic) headcanons about Haley, Paula, Irene, Maddie and Daia with a farmer S/O who, ever since they first met, has never spoken not even once (communicating instead by writing what they wanted to say down or by ASL), but then one day they finally spoke for the first time, only to say a corny "i love you" and walk away like nothing happened.
if you can't, that's alrighty! have a good day!
Yay, more practice with Ridgeside Village headcanon! Thank you so much for the ask, dear anon! ❤️ I hope you're enjoying it 🫰
--------------------------------------------------
Haley:
Haley was amused to realise that she and the strange Farmer who had arrived in the Valley recently had become a couple.
Even though they hadn't exchanged a word. And yet, even the strange and silent Farmer had managed to win the girl's heart.
Exchanging messages, letters.... The girl even learnt a little ASL to keep the conversation going. So there was no problem with communication.
But the fact that Farmer confessed their love to her at the most random moment - Haley was not even that surprised, because her love for Farmer was also growing every day.
But the fact that they'd spoken... with words? And just went about their farming business as if nothing had happened.
She had to stand there in complete shock for about five minutes before she finally woke up and caught up with Farmer.
Her happiness at hearing what they had said was mixed with a slight resentment that they had just left like that. She actually wants to declare her love too, alright.
Also she want kiss them. And hug them. And kiss them again. And she doesn't care if other villagers are looking at them right now.
Paula:
Oh, Paula knows ASL very well, so she had no problem communicating with Farmer. So day by day passed, the young people became friends and then even started dating.
Farmer was a frequent visitor to her clinic in Ridgeside Village (thankfully, this is most of the time, not because Farmer is injured), and so Paula got used to chatting occasionally behind the counter with her love.
And of course, sometimes you can get so chatty that you don't notice your silent lover saying "I love you" on the spot.
I love you too, sweetie- wait a minute...
The girl looked straight into Farmer's eyes for half a minute before they decided to leave the clinic.
???????
Okay, stop right here.
She heard that right, correct? Did they really say that in their own voice?
When Farmer nodded in confirmation, Paula only smiled softly and kissed them on the lips.
"You're so unpredictable...," there was no irritation or sarcasm in the girl's voice. Only tender affection and oh so much love.
Irene:
An ordinary day at Amethyne Mansion, and Irene is busy in the kitchen as usual.
A routine visit from a close friend of a wealthy family at Ridgeside Village, who happens to be Irene's lover. Irene's delighted that even though they're busy with their farm work, her lover has found time to visit her.
A gift from the Farmer for her, her favourite cake. Mmmm, so delicious....
Grateful Irene kissed Farmer on the cheek for such a tasty treat.
"I love you," said Farmer and left the kitchen, as they don't want to disturb Irene's business.
"And I love you, my dear," the girl immediately went back to stirring the dough in a bowl.... and almost dropped the bowl from her hands.
Did they... talk? Or was it that she had been near the hot oven for too long that now she was.... No, it's not hallucinations.
She had to drop everything and run to the farmer.
"Did you really say that?" When the Farmer nodded, poor Irene was overcome with a flood of emotions. She squeaked, laughed, jumped up and down, and even cried a little bit, until she finally hugged Farmer.
"I love you, too. Very much."
Maddie:
Maddie.exe stopped working.
W-what? Did she just hear that right?
From the look on Farmer's face, she heard it right after all.
...
What?!
They can't- They can't just say it like that, out of the blue, and walk away like nothing happened??? What the hell?! Come back here!
Maddie managed to catch up with the Farmer, grabbed them by the collar of their clothes and shook them like a ragdoll.
They can't just tell her "I love you" like that, after so many months of silence and letters and..... Oh, Maddie's so mad! Furious! She's gonna get them!
And before the Farmers could fear their beloved would punch them in the nose, Maddie kissed them. Sweet and passionate kiss.
Both stood looking into each other's eyes, cheeks red, breathing slightly hitched.
"I love you too, stupid. But don't scare me like that again, you hear me? Or else I'll really break your nose!" Maddie's tirade ended with a tight hug.
Her lover is so stupid... ❤️
Daia:
Daia was usually the one to make her partner look at her in shock, whether it was another dirty joke or just compliments.
This time, the Farmers were able to do the impossible - catch her in shock.
Did they actually say that... with their mouth? Her love said the words with their mouth?
"I love you"?
Poor Farmer didn't even have time to go anywhere before Daia immediately enclosed them in her arms.
"What a cinnamon bun you are! Decided to surprise me, huh? You such a cutie pie!"
Oh, Daia wouldn't miss the opportunity to tease Farmer, calling them such sweet and silly nicknames that their cheeks immediately turned pink.
However, the girl will abruptly stop teasing her lover, and kiss her gently on the cheek.
Jokes are jokes, but she is truly grateful and happy to hear their voice for the first time, and that it was words of declaration of love to her... Daia had never felt truly happy like this before.
"Thank you, dear... I love you too."

*bursts the door open* Mousyyyyyyyyyyy-
I'm once again having a dilemma as to who to marry on my newest save file. On the first save, I married Sebastian, then Elliott on the second one, Victor on third, and Zayne on fourth.
Are there any NPCs you'd recomend? I'm currently thinking about either going for Victor/Zayne again, June or one of the vanilla bachelors :3
*rub my hands together in anticipation* Oh, I'm glad you asked! :3
If your eye falls on the Ridgeside Village candidates, June is a very good option! He was my spouse before 1.6, and I was surprised at how full of pleasant moments (and some spicy evens 🌚) this pianist is. You could also try Jio, our famous tsundere elf. Of the bachelorettes from the same mod, Daia (@sapphicastral will confirm this 😃) and Paula would be very cool options.
If you want someone from Stardew Valley Expanded, I still advise you to try Magnus at least once. In my experience, he's a moderately funny and romantic character, and all his events are imbued with magic and mystery. The same gallant adventurer Lance would be a great choice. What I like most about Lance is that even after marriage, he still has the dynamic of traveling and adventure. Plus he's very romantic and gives great stuff, so... 👀💕
If you've started looking for vanilla candidates, though... try Shane or Alex. They may seem repulsive at first with their behavior and personality, but as you win their hearts and get married they will be very nice and interesting candidates.

Oh ho.
This episode explained everything and nothing. What’s clear now is that Daia herself has transformed (there aren’t two separate versions of her or anything), and for the time being this new Daia is here to stay. (I was worried this might be another Pheonix Mask thing that ends in like two episodes, but no, I think this is our end game plot and I’m excited.)
So a now inverted color Daia has left Nijinosaki’s Design Palette and started a new channel where she is now running around making mischief on other channels. Miracle Kiratts and Nijinosaki go chasing after her by visiting whichever program is currently ranking #1, but they are always too late. Finally Nijinosaki decides to just make her own program with the specific goal of luring Daia which was.... interesting.............. The entire time I couldn’t help but think to myself, you’ve got Miracle Kiratts right there! If Miracle Kiratts do one of their usual programs, won’t Daia come? You don’t think Miracle Kiratts have the ability to rank #1? lol.
(Wait do they? I mean, with all the fanfare idol channels have you would think idols would always be #1 on PriChan but... even in season 2 PriChan is supposed to also be about stuff other than idols. Season 2 is so good I forgot PriChan still doesn’t make sense ahah.)
Anyway, eventually Daia does come. Daia tells Nijinosaki she doesn’t know what happened and she’s just having fun. But it was clear to me from this sequence, and this episode, that inverted Daia isn’t bad, just lonely. I actually like her and her cheerful destructiveness a lot.
ESPECIALLY BECAUSE
She actually performed in this episode
a techno remix of Friend Password
and it was awesome.
She sang it in her own voice (not Nijinosaki’s) and it was basically the exact show you would expect Daia to do on her own.
This also tells me we may have a Daia/Nijinosaki double performance someday with Nijinosaki performing as herself once they make up and that will be great.
So as for what I think happened to Daia, I have a couple theories. I think when Nijinosaki told Daia that she wanted to win on her own, that caused a moment of weakness in Daia so when one of the bugs they were fighting in the previous episode took her over, she didn’t even notice and couldn’t fight it off. Or, Daia is just not programmed to understand loneliness. She doesn’t know what it is or how to handle it because she’s basically supposed to be a companion and that’s her entire purpose. Basically the opposite Falulu. Falulu was not supposed to be able to make friends, so making a friend (breaking her PriTicket) caused an error. It caused an error for Daia when she (thought she) lost a friend.
Next week is a Maria episode. Because believe it or not, Ring Marry does still exist!

I feel like I’m on drugs. WHAT DID I JUST WATCH.
If possible I would really recommend watching the episode for yourself before reading this. Or j.... just watch Meltic Star’s performance. I.........
So after not performing for years(?), Naru Shiawase just performs all the time now for no apparent reason. ‘Kay.
I read someone or other said on social media that the Naru debut was a New Year’s present or something. To which I gotta say....
Uhhh...
Tumblr media
Come on now. This was the timing she had to debut to coincide with the Jewel 6 arcade announcement. That’s the only reason.
I just think it could have been better planned (i.e. better weaved into the story) if they knew for such a long time that she was going to debut at this time.
Okay that’s the end of that. On to the meat of the episode.
The girls haven’t seen Daia recently, so Nijinosaki and Meltic Star venture into the VR world to find her. Which is super interesting because it was only just announced that season 3 is going to have VR as a major theme. So apparently they already have the technology (sort of).
OOH! Are we gonna see a human version of Hakuchu in season 3 too? (Anju’s mascot/Design Palette interface.)
So they find Daia exterminating computer bugs. Later Meltic Star get kidnapped by said computer bugs, and you think Daia and Nijinosaki are gonna save the day until.... Meltic Star turns into a giant battle robot and save the day themselves.
...........This may have been the greatest PriChan moment of all time and I’m not even kidding.
Even if they didn’t save the day, I really liked seeing Nijinosaki and Daia working together.  Also I am NOT crazy. Not a single soul commented on it when I brought it up last, but Nijinosaki (AND DAIA’S) eyes are constantly changing from diamond pupils to oval pupils. Maybe don’t ever look for it though, because you will never unsee it..... It seems way too sloppy to not be on purpose?? But??? Why? Well anyway.
This all lead up to...... the introduction of the plot which will lead us to the end of this series I believe..... Nijinosaki tells Daia that she can’t keep relying on her anymore and will win the Diamond Collection on her own. Daia seems happy for her... until she leaves, and Daia says to herself that actually she would’ve liked it if Nijinosaki kept relying on her. She wanted to perform together. Her body starts to warp.....
Umm UMMMM this episode seemed to be maybe building up to Nijinosaki performing as herself but then Meltic Star performs instead.
THE END.
WAIT NO
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I
I WROTE THAT AND
Then I actually watched Meltic Star’s performance and
It ends with them getting Jewel Chance but with an alternately colored Daia with a completely different personality with no explanation and I’m just like.... AM I ON DRUGS WHAT HAPPENED.
(Okay I guess it’s maybe implied she got a virus but still this was just FROM NOWHERE.)

SO MUCH FOR ME THINKING THIS WAS A CHRISTMAS FILLER EPISODE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
DAIA PLOT DAIA PLOT
So this episode opened with Nijinosaki having a nightmare that as soon as everyone finds out her secret, nobody will be her friend anymore.
Later while the girls are getting ready for a Jewel Idol Christmas party, they catch Oshama Tricks sneaking in. Mirai tells Oshama Tricks that when they try and buy friends with candy, those people may not be their real friends. This seems to echo with Nijinosaki.
Nijinosaki remembers the Diamond Princess book (WHICH IS CONFIRMED WRITTEN BY NARU) and imagines that the story ends with the girls not showing up to her party when she runs out of matterials to make them dresses and not being her friends anymore
So.
It turns out
The Jewel Idol Auditions
THE WHOLE THING
Was all made by Nijinosaki
ALL OF IT
With the specific goal of getting the girls to wear her dresses with the hope that the one girl who wins, the Diamond Idol, would be someone who truly appreciates her dresses and become her friend.
Woah
So at the Christmas party all the Jewel Idols are on the stage, and Mirai talks about how excited she is to be a Diamond Idol.
And this is the point where Nijinosaki cannot take the guilt anymore.
I thought after that big reveal we may have a few episodes to sit on it but NOPE
Nijinosaki blurts out that being the Diamond Idol isn’t what Mirai thinks it is. It was all a lie just so she could find a friend. Daia then goes onto explain everything for Nijinosaki, including confirming that Nijinosaki is in Designers 10 as the designer of Milky Rainbow.
It turns out Daia only picked girls for Jewel Chance who she thought would like Nijinosaki’s dresses? (If that was the only criteria, I have to wonder why it took some girls longer to get their JRs than others but--)
So Nijinosaki runs away crying. After she leaves the girls discuss amongst themselves how they don’t feel tricked at all. They liked the Jewel Auditions, and they would have been Nijinosaki’s friends anyway.
After wandering alone in the cold and thinking she only has Daia left now, Nijinosaki finally returns home to find.... everyone is there! They moved the Christmas party to her house instead. Everyone confirms they really are Nijinosaki’s friends, they enjoyed the Jewel Auditions, and they still want to try to be Diamond Idols all the same.
Now here’s where it gets a bit confusing. Nijinosaki’s Jewel glows and she performs but... still as Daia? Or is it actually her performing now because she had her own voice and reacted as herself when Daia came down to give her Jewel Chance?? ?????? So did she dress up as Daia or what? Or PriChan now let you change your appearance like PriPara?
And now Nijinosaki/Daia is a Jewel Idol. Or maybe just Nijinosaki. IDK.
Anyway. The episode ends with Naru giving the book to Nijinosaki so she can finally read the ending. It turns out everyone came to the Diamond Princess’ party anyway even though she could not make them dresses anymore, because they were her real friends after all. The end.
Next week Diamond Dress! Or Diamond Collection....? They never called it that before did they? Are there multiple dresses now? What else is there it’s only December and the Daia plot is over!!!?
Oh, and Anju was noticeably absent from the Jewel Idols Christmas party, buuuut I’m pretty sure she knows Nijinosaki’s secret already since she’s close to the Designers 10.
Damn this episode
I ain’t mad either but it is weird to think this entire time my PriChan arcade character has also just been auditioning to be Nijinosaki’s friend....

Kiratto Prichan Episode 97
Tumblr media
Whose Jewel will shine the brightest on stage?
The Jewel Collection has finally begun sadly, for the purposes of this blog, there's not a whole lot to comment on.
Tumblr media
This is gonna sound sacrilegious but this felt a lot like an episode of On Parade, a very weak plot portion, with three CG performances, that was enjoyable to watch but that didn't have anything going for it. If it weren't for the updated CGs here this could've been easily mistaken as this week's Aikatsu episode.
Tumblr media
It's a bit disappointing because I expected they would do more than just a few comedic sketches before the actual competition started, but the closest we got was Daia being jealous of everyone now? I didn't understand that scene at the end because Daia's volatile emotional state is always connected to Nijinosaki but she didn't do anything in this episode so there should be no reason for her to be jealous, yet she still is so... it's confusing.
Tumblr media
But also the episode wasn't necessarily bad, seeing Emo and Anna perform in their Jewel Coords for the first time was good, I'm glad they'll be able to change the OP next week to feature shots of them during performance. The whole thing where their hair gets intertwined and Mel tries to use an invention to revert them back but she only makes it worse and it looks fun as hell is also great
Tumblr media
Though in the end, when you put everything together, the final impression they gave me is that it was just whatever. Like, Rinka's performance at the end felt very random, they also tried to do something where Yuzuru would be the spinning wheel to decide who would perform but then they were just volunteering themselves randomly? That's also another that made no sense. And being completely honest the way the system works to reveal who will win at the end kinda makes everything feel pointless because I'm sure this is this way just so that they can give the Diamond Coord to everyone in the finale which takes a bit of the joy of watching the journey.
Tumblr media
If this was short, I think next week will be even shorter because by the preview we're either getting 4 performances or Mel and Sara will get shafted and we won't see them perform, I'm not stoked for any of the possibilities. Y'know if I wasn't committed to keep a schedule and post every day I'd wait until the Jewel Collection ended and make a post covering everything at once because I'm really adding water to the milk to have a proper post for this episode. Oh well, let me know in the comments what you've been thinking of Prichan lately, at this point I just want Season 3 to finally start to cleanse this bitter taste this final stretch of Season 2 has left in my mouth. I'm also tired of stagnation. But this isn't supposed to be a rant, so I'll just shut up for now. See you in the next time.

The subs are soo behind again May I ask what’s going on past episode 63? Some of the details are lost to me TBH
So um….. summarize six episodes….? (Seven now since I had to let this sit in my inbox since I was traveling for over a week and wasn’t caught up myself.)
I’m afraid my summaries are going to be kind of brief since it’s a lot. If you could tell me what details you meant when you said “some details are lost” I can explain further.
Episode 64: The first Daia Fes is held. This is a competition for Jewel Idols to get parts of Daia’s coord (just like on the arcade game). The only Jewel Idols at this point are Mirai, Rinka, and Mel but Rinka ends up not participating because she gets switched with her Mom again. (But this evens things out for Miracle Kiratts/Meltic Star.) Mirai wins.
Episode 65: Suzu has always wanted to be cool like her older brother Michael, who is a big star in America (he’s supposed to be Michael Jackson) but she had a traumatizing experience when she was younger where she entered into a song and dance contest and got called cute when she was trying to be cool. Eventually she decides to challenge new things under the influence of Miracle Kiratts and debuts, accepting being both cute and cool.
Episode 66: Another episode to sell the Design Palette. Kinako and Ice want to form a group with their friend Monaka, but Monaka is hesitant because she doesn’t know anything about fashion. Miracle Kiratts give her confidence by designing her a coord with the Design Palette and the three form their group.
Episode 67: Maria wants to form a group with Suzu but Suzu keeps rejecting her. She unloads on Nijinosaki about her one-sided feelings for Suzu and invites Nijinosaki to come with them to a rabbit cafe so that Suzu can have someone to talk to if things aren’t going well. Suzu and Maria seem to come to an understanding with each other and even get Jewel Chance, but Suzu runs away after Maria shows her the rabbit coords she wants them to wear.
Episode 68: Maria hasn’t given up on forming a group with Suzu and now Miracle Kiratts and Meltic Star are involved in their drama too. However, she does give up after Suzu gets an amazing offer to dance on Broadway, even going as far as to have Emo dress up and pretend to be her new partner to make sure Suzu doesn’t pass up the offer. Suzu sees though Maria’s plan but seems as though she’s going to take the offer anyway, up until the last minute when she finally decides to become rabbits with Maria. Plus Mirai makes a cool-type rabbit coord on the Design Palette to help make that happen. Suzu and Maria officially debut as a group and get the name “Ring Marry” from Naru. They also become Jewel Idols.
Episode 69: A filler episode to promote the Tokyo Station Prism Stone shop. Miracle Kiratts become station masters for a day at a train station which has been taken over by Dear Crown and help save the Prism Stone Shop manager’s job. Introduces an image girl for the Tokyo Station Prism Stone.
Episode 70: The second Daia Fes. This time Mirai, Rinka, Mel, Suzu, and Maria all participate. So this episode is basically all performances, inter-spliced with Nijinosaki in her control room conversing with a floating Daia hologram. Suzu and Maria tie, and after a brief discussion between Nijinosaki and Daia they decide to give it to both of them.

Kiratto Prichan Episode 82
Tumblr media
Do you believe Sara's coolness can save the world? Because I do.
I was somewhat excited for this episode, and while I'm not fully satisfied with everything, I think he final product was very solid and this episode made me happy.
The biggest problem of his episode to me is he lack of build-up for these events to happen as they did. Suzu creating this kinda of rivalry with the senpai she admires and she wants o surpass is marvelous. but sadly we didn't get hints of that in any of the past episodes (as far as I can remember) so when it happens here it feels rushed and it weakens the importance of it a little in my opinion.
Tumblr media
Not to say that it doesn't work, you can feel how genuine Suzu's feelings are and that little moment where she opens up with Maria after loosing to Sara is gorgeous. But as someone who likes both Sara and Suzu A LOTI can't help but wish we had seen more of that, they could've planted this seed a little sooner and maybe we could've seen Sara's side on this matter too.
Tumblr media
If I had he power to change this episode I would've cut off Anju's live, specially since she didn't participated on the Fest, or the Meltic StAr scene, that I loved because of Anna's "SHUT UP" gag with Mel but that didn't have a major purpose of existing, to give Sara more spotlight. This episode was really trying to sell how cool Sara is and as much as we all already bought dozens of this cookie and we have no doubts of Sara's status as cool, I do think this episode could make good use of a scene only for her to showcase her coolness better than just Suzu's memories.
Tumblr media
Regardless of that this was by far my favorite Daia Fest episode, not only because I predicted correctly who would win (not that it was even that difficult), but because it didn't went overkill with the performances and the plot was solid (it had cracks, but it was still solid).
With that being said, they really screw up when they went there and announced Daia's brand as a being completely new when I'm pretty sure these coords given in he Fest are of said brand, and back in episode 77 Daia not only performs in a coord of this brand but also mentions Milky Rainbow by name in her coord change/channel introduction. I don't know if this is a misunderstanding, because again I don't know French but I'm watching this show with French subs, but this really bothered me.
Tumblr media
Next Week we're back on book store duty for maybe the fourth time in this show and as much as I like Daia I gotta be honest I'm not excited for it, not really interested on doing book store stuff again instead of something new. I also was expecting this part of November to be more focused on either Anna or Emo and they working to become jewel idols since I believe the Arcade will be getting an update by the end of this month, but it doesn't seem that that's gonna be the case so I'm kinda sad.
Anyway, if I can stop procrastinating I should be back on Aikatsu and back to do my Round of Randoms posts this week. Also, I used the free time I had since we didn't have a precure episode this week to watch a little something that I wanna bring to blog, it's kinda off my usual but I'm really excited about that. But for now, this is a goodbye. See you all, hopefully, soon.

Kiratto PriChan 63
PriChan season 2: Suzu doesn’t feel like doing a thing. Everyone tries to make Suzu do a thing.
Ahah.
So this episode was supposed to be a Mel episode, but it was WAAAAY more about Suzu for me and I loved it.
So funny how season 2 is so opposite for me. Season 1 PriChan I didn’t care about the anime plot that much, loved the arcade game. Season 2 I don’t care about the arcade game as much, love the anime plot.
THIS SEASON IS GOING EXACTLY WHERE I WANTED IT TO GO
AHHHH MAJOR SPOILERS
So there is a deeper reason to why Suzu doesn’t sing. She actually had some kind of traumatic moment in her past, and it’s definitely going to be part of the plot. AHHHH! Really looking forward to her character arc and when she ultimately does sing.
BUT MAYBE MORE IMPORTANTLY
NARU FINALLY CONFIRMED FOR DEAR CROWN MANAGER
I CALLED IT AND IM SO EXCITED!!!
I seriously predicted this AS SOON AS they revealed Dear Crown for season 2, and I have been just WAITING.
Although I am a bit disappointed they used short-hair Naru. I had been imagining long hair King of Prism era Naru in my head. But oh well, it’s not the same Naru.
Also for a hot second I was totally expecting Suzu’s brother to be DJ COO. And I was like dammit lol. But now I am thinking more and more that her Kurokawa last name was actually intentional, and they actually may be related somehow.
But anyway, back to this being supposed to be a Mel episode, her solo was great. I think I’m going to be playing that a lot. Also she sad some interesting stuff in this episode: Mel is able to do pretty much anything. So she doesn’t understand the feelings of people who have to work hard to do things. So she has to just keep trying to do more and more things to keep herself happy.
I don’t think this will ever take a dark turn, but oh lord it would be really interesting if it did. Because this just added a bit of depth to Mel that she didn’t have before for me.
Also I love her Suzie nickname for Suzu.
Oh! And I guess Daia Fes is going to be an actual anime thing! Hm. Kinda weird. What are they gonna do with Daia’s coord when they win it?

Kiratto Prichan Episodes 80-81
Tumblr media
YOU WANTED THE BEST!!!
The last time I did a prichan post I said I was curious about episode 80. Reality is: I wasn't, thus why I skipped a week.
The episode itself was pretty bland, but seeing Anju who has such a great noble presence doing mundane things was actually pretty charming and it made this episode fun despite not having anything especial happening.
Tumblr media
I think the only thing worthy of noting in his episode is Anju's oblique quote to Nijinosaki when she says she don't need her mask, and that makes me very happy because it may be early foreshadowing for Nijinosaki finally debuting as an idol without Daia, which was what I wanted for her since he beginning.
One last thing I wanna say is, does anyone know how old Ange is? Because from Season 1 she seemed much older than the other girls and I always guessed she was in her 30s, but she seems so bright and young in this episode and it gave me the feel that she's on her early to middle 20s and it got me confused. Not that a 30 years old woman can't be bright and young, but it would be kinda awkward for a woman in that age, who's also basically a stranger to the family, to be sleeping with a kid and a teenager.
Tumblr media
Much like what happened with Precure, this weeks episode was miles better compared to it predecessor. And to me that was surprise since this episode focused a lot on Oshama Tricks and, as yall know, I'm not the biggest fan of them. I don't know if it was the fact that they decided to pair them with Meltic, or if it was just good writing, but I was really invested and at some point I eve started liking them?
It was an interesting dynamic seeing Anna, that has already been very selfish, and that now is being so focused on stepping up Meltic's game (most likely because I thike she feels like she's getting behind since she's the only one on her group that isn't a jewel idol yet), taking a step back to help someone who she had a bickering in the past because (with the help of Sara and Mel) she could see herself on them. And the execution was pretty well done, the tournament looked fun, the "prize coord" was horrible but it recalled to last year's episode, the dynamic of pairing Oshama with Ring Marry worked very well, and while I think the moment at the end was a bit forced, Oshama's reconciliation was pretty endearing. And for one of the very few times seeing the follow ticket exchange scene was actually very emotional.
Tumblr media
I can't go by this episode without saying how I loved Meltic StAr's participation on this episode. They kinda took back seat and at the same time they didn't, they had the perfect balance of comedy and more emotional moments. As an Meltic fan it made me very happy seeing how they were used in this episode and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Tumblr media
Of course I can't go by without mentioning Meltic's new song! I feel like the majority of people didn't like the song, but I LOVED IT SO MUCH. It has elements that recall to her previous songs, the line distribution is somewhat decent, it was bright and chill at the same time, it's just an amazing song.Yes, it's not as powerful as their past songs, but I don't think a song NEED to be powerful for it to be good, and this is the case for this song. I can clearly see myself jamming to this on my day-to-day life when I don't listen to Netemo Sametemo Dreamin' Girl all that often despite liking the song.
If I have a criticism to make its that I don't think Sara's vampire PR matches with the song and they definitely should've given them new unit coords for it.
Tumblr media
All in all, I was very pleased with these episodes. Next week we will have the final (useless) Daia Fest, and it seem like Sara and Suzu will be the main characters this time. I already predict that Sara will be the one winning this time and I'll be very annoyed if she doesn't because Meltic Star is the only group yet to win one of those thing and to me it's just very unfair. But this is stuff for next week so I take a step back and wrap things up here. See you all a next time.

Kiratto Prichan Episodes 59-64
Tumblr media
Welcome back, Meltic StAr!
I bet you thought I forgot about Prichan right? This gonna sound like a lie but I didn’t, for real. XD
The problem Prichan has is basically the same one as AiFure, the subs come out late and things just pile up. Last year I used to watch Prichan without the subs as normal because I wasn’t as invested in the story and if I felt like I was missing out on something I could check on tumblr and see what actually happened. But this time around I actually wanna know what's going on with these characters, especially for this batch of episodes that give major focus to my favorite members of this cast.
But anyway, I got a lot to cover so let's get right into it.
Tumblr media
Episodes 59 and 60 are pretty boring. 59 is one to try to promote the new rarity in the game while 60 is to promote the new toy, and I didn't really care for neither of them.
59 had some cute moments on it, specially Daia she was pretty adorable on this one. The owners of that bookstore were also fun sometimes, and I do like the idea they came up to save their business. But the rest of the episode I just couldn’t care less, boring stuff from left to right.
Episode 60 I had quite a lot of problems with it. First I don’t like how they made Mirai so over-obsessed about the palette thing, as far as I know, she never showed signs of being crazy over something at this level before and is just awkward. Second, I don’t like how they make the design palette be such a big deal when we probably won’t see it again after maybe one or two months, also if it’s such an important and rare thing why would Aira give it to Mirai? It makes no sense to me. And in overall it’s just not an interesting episode at all. IF only IF, the new Prism Stone uniform was good I think I could give it a pass and say at least something good came out of it, but these new ones are nowhere near the ones from S1 so...
I think I would've liked 59 more if instead of a repeat performance of Rinka we got one in that Snow White coord. If they still wanted to use Yumeiro Energy it'd be fine for me, I've come to accept this song more from the last time I did one of these, but still I don't think that Miracle Idol coord fits neither the song or the stage and is just a generic group coord because they were lazy to make new performance coords for each new song. But nothing could save 60 for me, not even Super Cutie Super Girl.
Tumblr media
Episode 61 is when things get interesting again because MELTIC STAR!!!!!!!!!
The first episode of this mini ark is great, I was surprised by how much I liked this one since it was very focused on Emo and Oshama Tricks was a big part of it as well, and these are normally two elements that if put together could make me go crazy and bored because I don’t like neither of them. But in this one, it worked very well and I enjoyed this episode a lot.
They’ve made a very good job showing how important Anna is for Emo even though they drive each other crazy, and because it was so well done that you can really feel both Emo sadness for thinking that everything was just a lie and her happiness right after as soon as the girls introduce themselves on stage.
If there’s only one thing to complain about this episode is that Meltic StAr’s new unit coords are weird as hell, I really dislike them and I don’t get why they would go with this aesthetic for them. Maybe if these were introduced with a new group song that had this Circus vibe to it I wouldn’t dislike it as much, but since that’s not the case I can’t like them, at least not yet.
I also don’t understand why they would have to announce they’re taking part in the Jewel Auditions since I though everyone doing prichan was eligible for it, but this is honestly just a minor nitpick and not a problem per se.
Tumblr media
The next two episodes are used to finally cement Meltic StAr as active parts in this season this gets evident by looking at the opening that features them on it.
I think that, to me, the best that episodes 62 and 63 do is creating bonds between Meltic and Ring Marry, and I’m not saying this just because the 5 of them are my favorites and I love to see their interactions. I promise. I think it is just natural having the two groups together when you consider that Kiratts and Daia have a strong relationship and this has left Maria and Suzu behind for a little.
And honestly, both groups work really well together. Even though both episodes are mainly focused on Mel and Suzu, they still add some other nice little touches to it like for example, saying Sara knows Maria’s channel. Sara loves cute things so is just natural that she’s aware of Maria’s channel. Are small details like this that make me appreciate and enjoy these episodes a little more.
These episodes are so well constructed that they alone made me raise Suzu in my faves list, I really enjoyed seeing her with Mel and seeing how they’re very different from each other which makes possible for both of them to learn a lot from their time together. Given that in both episodes Suzu basically was the one in charge of learning rather than teaching, I believe Mel was able to extract some good this from this experience as well.
Tumblr media
Talking about 63 more specifically, I have two problems with it. First is Mel getting jewel chance in the first episode she performs alone in this season, I already mentioned that I don’t like this but since it seems this is the trend for all idols who were already a part of the original cast I can let it pass, also Universe Queen jewel coord is gorgeous and probably my favorite of all we’ve seen so far so this makes me even less mad about the whole situation.
The second is that part where Mel insists for Suzu to sing, I know it’s a minor moment, it goes very quickly, and it’s there just to consolidate even more the fact that Suzu doesn’t want to sing yet. I also know that Mel had good intentions there, but I still don’t like it. As someone who constantly has people trying to force me into doing things I don’t like/want, I can’t stress enough how bad this is.
Thankfully this episode does so many other great things that in the end they overcome these bad points and results in a good episode. My favorite bits being all the moments where Mel was the most hyperactive kid on the planet. Gosh, I love her so much. ALSO, Mel promoting education and saying that learning is fun is very valid.
The highlight of this episode is definitely Mel’s performance!!!!! What a great song it is!!! I have the same problem as before where the Circus Ringmaster Coord doesn’t fit the song and the stage, but I still enjoyed every single bit of it. Even using the repeated stage was good, I think the Amusement Park stage works better here than the palace stage and the sweet shop stag does for Mirai and Rinka’s song. I must say, I didn’t expect Mel’s song to be like this, I expected it to be more like Cometic Shilouette, but I really like it and it fits Mel PERFECTLY. I also think the Meltic StAr generic Yattemita for this season is better than the Kiratts generic one so that’s another plus for this performance.
Tumblr media
Closing up this batch the show goes down again in Episode 64. I really don’t like this episode, I really don’t see the point of it and the execution of the thing was kinda wonky.
This Daia Fest was very confusing. First, I don’t get the concept of going through a competition to win a single piece of a coord. I know this is something they do since the Pretty Rhythm days but still, I don’t get it.
Second, I don’t understand why the only two participants are Mirai and Mel, I’d think that more idols would get jewel coords as well, it’d be a good way to showcase in the show that the jewel coords come in various colors in the game. Making the two of them the only competitors make the competion even more pointless.
Third, I don’t get how someone could come out victorious of this thing, they’ve done the exact same thing with nothing different being added to spice things out. Yeah they performed in their Jewel Coords, but in general they share the same value so, is not like they’ve done anything special.
Fourth, Mirai’s victory feels empty. They tried to set up a conflict with Mirai not knowing what her dream was but they don’t do anything with it. If they made Mirai lose they could give her an ark about finding herself, and finding a dream for her and make the culmination of all that be really amazing. But no, she’s the main character so we have to give everything to her very easily.
But to not say I dislike everything this episode has done, I liked the excuse they came up with to why Rinka didn’t got in, I think this thing she has with her mom is very funny and probably the only thing I REALLY like about her.
Oh there’s also Naru who’s in the middle of love and hate. I do like her character here but since I never watched the PR season she’s from I have this sensation in the back of my head that i’m already loosing lots of information about this character, even though like Aira she’s not the same naru from Pretty Rhythm and technically all we’re seeing here is new.
Tumblr media
And this is it for now! It took me way longer than I wanted to write this down but I’m finally done.
A FEW SIDE NOTES:
Tumblr media
Maria is very relatable.
Tumblr media
IS THIS A MOTHERFUCKING BRAZIL REFERENCE?
Tumblr media
Despite all the bad things I had to say about these episodes, I can’t deny that we got some very adorable shots from them. LOOK AT IT, THEY’RE SO CUTE.
Now that’s everything I had to say.
I’ve already watched Episode 65, but I’m leaving it for its own post because I have lots of things to talk about and this post is already long enough as it is. I’ll probably post it later today by itself or tomorrow with Episode 66, it will depend if Aikatsu subs will be coming out today or not. Regardless, the symphoger review will be out very soon, I’m finishing up some things here and I’ll be watching the episode in no time.
See yall soon (very soon this time, I promise).
