ok can we take a brief moment and talk abt hyyh yoonkook's age gap and how it turns their relationship up a 1000

(also quick edit here for those who dont know in hyyh jk is 14 and yoongi is 18 it was canonized by the youth drama profiles)

first lets talk from jungkook's perspective. a 14 year old boy who's biological dad went to buy milk, and time after his neglectful mom brings to him a shitty step dad and even shittier older step bro. there's not a single father figure on his life, his whole life was spent yearning for a fatherly love that he dosen't know yet, but he still wants, so his insticts make him latch to the first older guy that gives him attention. AND FUCK IS THAT REALISTIC!!! as someone with daddy issues bang pd didnt miss a bit in that part, even so, its one of the main reason why teens tend to get groomed, its because they just want someone older to be proud of them, even if it comes in the most destructive ways

and then there's yoongi. his mom died, he has been expelled from school, not telling to his dad cuz he knows the man would kick him out, he just wishes to have control over something, over someone, so he hugs jungkook in, because he knows he can have some bit of control over him. even if its a relationship that is like a fire, burning the both of them to the ground, he still throws himself into that fire, letting it burn and melt his skin, letting the smoke enter inside his lungs and give him that cancer and holy shit i did not mean to mention fires AND OH MY GOD BANG PD YOU LITTLE SHIT-

so to anyone who still wishes these two little rays of sunshine(?) a happy ending, that would only be if they broke up. sorry.

also i like how hyyh is one of the few medias to introduce an age gap relationship withouth fetishizing it and istead showing how gross and destructive it is (not that i care, at the end of the day im still a proshipper lol)
