O céu se pinta em laranjas, azuis e rosados no fim da tarde e quase toca a cidade antes de se tornar completamente escuro. O laranja arde como fogo próximo ao sol que se vai enquanto espero o som da campainha me tirar do transe de olhar pela janela a vida se transformar em sono e descanso. Abro a porta ao sinal sonoro e vejo teu olhar esquivo, em qualquer outro ponto que não meus olhos. Nossos encontros são roteirizados o suficiente para sabermos o próximo ato. É proibido, errado, não devíamos estar fazendo isso. Prometemos não fazer novamente a cada vez que repetimos, mas essas mãos foram feitas para se encontrar. Você costuma entrar e se interessar por algo bobo enquanto o vinho ainda não tirou o filtro do medo e aguçou sua vontade. Me faço paciente, porém tenho pressa. Já conheço sua mania de morder os cantos das unhas e descascar os esmaltes, reconheço teu perfume em todo lugar e entendo a dificuldade de assumir que aqui é melhor que em outros lugares. Em algum lugar da cidade seu namorado espera uma mensagem, uma ligação que não virá, porque nas noites de desespero você vem. Te observo tentando negar que me quer, tentando negar que não conhece nada melhor que meu aconchego. Não planejamos encaixar tão bem, não foi combinado que nosso beijo expandisse em fogo por todos os lugares e marcasse as paredes. Tudo em você tem minha assinatura e tudo em mim tem teu batom. Te deixo marcar meu pescoço e minha alma, arder em minha pele na mais genuína manifestação desse desejo que é sol durante o dia. Had an absolutely brutal gym session tonight. 5min run at 5 speed and incline. Pushed 3x10s @ 120 on overhead. 3x10s on leg lifts. 3x10s Butterfly press at 120 & 500m in 3min on the rower set at 7.

Then came home to have some mahi and polenta for dinner. Now it's time to go play some video games with the kiddo.

Today is a good day. I'm sore and I'm hurting inside, but I'm working on myself and my future.

I did it for me this time. I'm taking ownership of my own happy.

I'm listening again. I can hear the music in the air.

January 2023 - Perth, Australia

I went bouldering for the first time in Perth!

I rocked climbed for the first time during my road trip in Kanab, Utah a little over a year ago, but I hadn't had a chance to rock climb since then. I was a bit nervous at first but once I got started it was both exhilarating and scary at the same time, but fun all around! I didn't have any rock climbing shoes but the Altra trail runners I brought with me did an awesome job! I fell into the water quite a few times but managed to hang in there pretty well once I got the hang of it (pun intended!)

Shaun did a little jump and grab maneuver (no idea if there's a proper technical term haha) which blew my mind but I figured I was already here might as well give it a try! I couldn't figure out the foot hold and couldn't hang on any longer so I fell. When I came back up I realized when I grabbed the rock I tore up my hands pretty bad but luckily we were almost at the end.

Since arriving in Perth, I'd really put a lot of stress on my body between getting pretty badly sunburnt the first day, constantly being sore working out every morning with @suziesuntan , and now having my hands torn up and more soreness from hanging on for dear life which all felt great but at the same time sometimes I wonder why I torture myself haha.

Can't wait to go rock climbing and bouldering again!

I'm posting this for accountability (so ignore the clothing choices haha). I've officially lost all the weight I put on during quarantine, which was approx 35 lbs. I've still got more to go. I've been getting my ass kicked by @trainwithdave and @michaelbarcenas1 in the OC for personal training and working on my macros/sticking to eating right, and its been paying off in dividends. They've been incredibly nice, and also check on my stats and goals regularly to make sure I'm where I want to be and make adjustments when needed. Now for the accountability: I haven't been able to go back for a couple of months due to all the crazy cat life stuff going on right now, but have been maininting, which no lie, I'm pretty proud of myself for being able to! I'll be returning back to my regular gym schedule and training with them this coming week to resume where I left off and push through to the next goal. I was having so many health issues before and so many have been alleviated. I don't get winded going up a flight of stairs like I was at the beginning of this year. I was having a hard time breathing and that went away. My knees hurt so bad just from walking short distances. It was painful. My whys are purely to improve my overall quality of life/health and to lessen my bodily aches and pains I was having and way too young of an age to be having these problems. I feel great!
