Summary: Kevin is late for practice with the band leaving Hunter and Y/n alone. When Kevin showed up after 2 hours he doesn't expect what he's about to walk in on

"Where is he?" Hunter asked pacing around his room. "I don't know, maybe he had to do something." I said strumming my guitar. "That's not a goos excuse to be late to practice." He said still pacing. "He's probably just running late." I shrugged. "It's been and hour." Hunter sighed and sat down on the bean bag beside me. "He could be busy with Emily." I said winking at Hunter. "Ew." Hunter said fake gagging making me giggle.

"We could practice together until Kevin gets here?" I suggested. "Sure I guess." Hunter said grabbing his guitar and sitting down in a chair across from me. "Do you need the note sheet?" Hunter asked. "Nah I memorized it." I said. "Okay, ready?" He asked. "Mhm." I hummed in response. He began playing the beginning of Machinery Of Torment. I started playing the notes I memorized nodding my head to the song. I looked up at Hunter admiring his features, I've had a crush on Hunter sense Kevin introduced us. I knew Kevin because Emily would always talk about him. When Kevin found out I played base he was ecstatic and brought me to Hunter. "Didn't your dad tell you its not nice to stare?" Hunter said as he stopped playing his guitar. "I'm not staring." I said rolling my eyes. "Oh really? Your eyes say different." Hunter smirked. "Shut up." I said putting down my guitar. "You look like a tomato." Hunter laughed. "I do not." I said acting affended. "You do to." He said smiling.

"Wanna watch something?" Hunter said putting his guitar down. "Sure." I said. We both got up and walked to his bed I sat on the end while he sat behind me leaning against the headboard. "What do you wanna watch?" He asked turning the Tv on. "Something scary." I shrugged. Hunter went on Netflix picking the first horror mo in he could find which happend to be IT. I crawled towards where Hunter sat and sat beside him. "That kid kind of looks like Kevin." I said pointing to Bill Denbrough on the screen. "I don't see it." Hunter shrugged.

"Hunter?" I said looking at him. "Yeah?" He asked. "Can I tell you something." I said nervously. "Yeah, What is it?" He asked. "I like you." I mumbled. "What?" He asked not hearing what I said. "I like you, like a lot it's fine if you don't feel the same I mean I don't blame you and- "Y/n." Hunter tried to get my attention as I continue. "-and I understand if you want to kick me out of the band because that would probably be really awk-" Hunter quickly smashed our lips together, my tense body slowly melting into the kiss. I felt his hand rest on my cheek. I pulled away to breath looking into his pretty green eyes. I leaned back into another kiss this time more heated. I found my hands going into his hair pulling on it a little. I felt his hands move slowly down to my hips. I moved not breaking the kiss I was now straddling him. In the process of moving Hunter managed to slip his tongue into my mouth. I felt his hands travel to my ass

Kevin's pov

"Hello Kevin." Mr. Sylvester said walking away from the door after opening it. "Hey Mr. Sylvester." I said stepping inside. "He's in his room." Mr. Sylvester sighed. "Uh thanks." I said walking to the basement. I got to his door hearing what sounded like a playing inside. "Hunter." I said knocking with no answer. I guess he probably didn't hear me from the movie that was playing I shrugged and walked inside. "Hey Hunter sorry I'm lat- I began saying but stopped when I saw Y/n straddling Hunter while they made out. "Holy shit!" I said covering my eyes which obviously got there attention "Oh hey Kevin." Y/n said getting off of Hunter and rubbing the back of her neck. "Uh hey." I said giving Hunter a look. "I would say I'm shocked but I kinda expected it." I said. "I got us some McDonald's." I said trying to change the subject. "Why were you so late? You said 6:00." Hunter said annoyed. "Oh yeah sorry about that I went to Emily's and forgot." I said embarrassed. "We forgive you now give me McDonald's." Y/n said making grabby hands. "That's not an excu- Hunter began to say but soon cut off by Y/n "Shut up he got McDonald's." She said rolling her eyes and snatching the bag from me.

summary: "Wait.." He starts again. You grimace rolling off the chair onto the floor staring at his ceiling begging for mercy as he starts back towards you. "Is this why you confessed?!"

"Well.." You replied, somewhat weakly squinting up at him while he stood over you.

Rolling over on Hunter's bed you sighed. He was across the room pacing, which he's been doing, for over 30 minutes ranting about Kevin. And you were sympathetic, you tried to be anyway, it was kind of hard to keep on being sympathetic after the first 10 minutes. It's not really his fault, his best friend getting a girlfriend, his best friend getting his first girlfriend.

He had mostly gotten over his qualms about Emily after Battle of the bands. It was obvious he was still getting used to the idea that Kevin wouldn't have been able to hang whenever Hunter wanted.

That was okay for the most part, except for the fact that you are so fucking bored. You had come over to hang out maybe watch him play guitar for a little not to listen to him rant about Kevin for what felt like years. Years of your life wasting away. Didn't he know that you were here cause you were also his friend?

You roll back over on your right side watching him worry himself into a frenzy over his two friends. Because he did care about Emily, he was just always nervous opening up to new people. He just didn't want to lose them both now. You take pity on the boy.

Pulling yourself up you lean back on your hands and cross your legs infront of you. Hunter, still pacing around the room decided chewing on his nails was more productive than ranting.

The silence was worse you decided.

"You know.." You start, catching his attention he stopped moving glancing at you, "I could repaint your nails if you want?"

Hunter scoffs, brushing his hands down his jeans walking over to his snake. (Ozzy the ball python, he let you hold her a couple of times.) He started moving the papers that were next to her enclosure to the other side of the room while responding, "You? Paint my nails?"

Okay. Ouch.

"Yeah dickhead I paint nails," you responded rolling your eyes.

"I know you paint nails," he replies crossing his arms, raising an eyebrow he continues, "that's also how I know you're shit at it."

You laugh also crossing your arms, smiling up at him, you couldn't keep the amusement out of your voice when you said "I'm going to paint them hot pink," no room for argument.

"That's the least metal thing I've ever heard in my entire life!"

Maybe a little room for argument.

"Fine," you drawl standing up cracking your knuckles while walking over to your backpack, an idea hits you, he just watches as you pick out your black and white polish. Turning to him you smile holding out your hands to present the bottles. "How about skulls?"

He uncrosses his arms and just gestures to his desk, you pull up an extra chair and you both sit down next to each other.

Fuck yeah.

15 minutes later and you were currently trying not to panic. Hunter was right, you had no idea what you were doing. One hand and a half later, minus the frantic YouTube tutorial video, you were done with the two fingers on his right hand and sweating. He wanted skulls on his middle finger an homage to his band's old name (SkullFucker, Skull on the Middle Finger.)

And now it was time for you to do the Skull. Yay. You looked at Hunter studying him, he was strangely quiet throughout the whole ordeal minus the snickering you received when you pulled out your phone. He was pointedly looking not at you, the tips of his ears pink. It was moments like these that made you think he might like you back. You put the brush back in the bottle clearing your throat.

Might as well right?

He startled looking at you, swallowing you notice how close you got had gotten, facing each other in the chairs the desk in front of you both, your guy's legs knocking into each other. Practically holding hands.

"What?" He almost whispers, a tad bit defensive, a small bit soft.

You shift your hold on his hands, lacing your fingers together, taking a moment you gather your confidence you start.

"Hunter?" You question, the flush on his ears darkening doesn't escape your notice. "I know this is out of nowhere but-" he tenses squeezing your hand. "I like you," you finish.

It's quiet for a moment, you started to sweat a little bit, watching Hunter you could see when he finally started to digest the information. He was nervous too, you rubbed you thumb back and forth over the back of his hand waiting for a response.

"I like you too," Looking up at him you smile, as he removes his left hand from yours he smiles back at you somewhat nervously and goes to tuck his hair behind his ear.

Before he can finish though suddenly you freeze.

"Oh my God!" Hunter busts out laughing. Your face starts to burn, groaning you rub at your eyes.

"It's not that bad!" You protest. He throws his finished left hand in your face, standing up.

"Not that bad?" He asks incredulous.

You see, after your first attempt at a Skull on his middle finger on his left hand, it went so badly you prayed a YouTube tutorial would fix it. Sadly the only thing it managed to do was-

"You painted a cock on my middle finger!" He shouts. Walking across the room gesturing. If only the ground would open up and swallow you whole. He was never going to let you live this down.

I watched Metal Lords a while ago, and I have to say, I think Hunter is autistic. (From an autistic perspective)

The boy himself ⬆️

Obviously, his special interest is metal music. It encompasses his entire life and the way he masks is by putting on the persona of a metal musician.

He doesn’t understand a lot of social things, and instead filters everything through the idea of “how would a metalhead react?” It’s shown especially when he and his best friend (that I can’t for the life of me remember the name of, I watched this movie in like April, but Jaeden Martel’s character) get at odds and when he provokes the bully kids. Also, his interactions with his dad. He reacts impulsively/without fear and he attempts to process the world through his special interest.

What this movie got wrong: (I’m not really good at putting thoughts into order so sorry if I repeat myself a lot, I definitely didn’t get out all I wanted to say but whatever)

My dad and I just stuck this movie on after being thoroughly disappointed by Ghostbusters: Afterlife (I was so sad since I’ve been waiting for that movie since before quarantine) and it was a pretty decent experience. Not the best thing I’ve ever watched but up until a bit of rockiness at the end, it was enjoyable in a chill way. It was honestly very wholesome and it shows that there’s so many over the top things now that stuff can just get away with the bare minimum. Also, it’s funny seeing Jaeden Martell as anything other than Bill Denbrough.

But a bunch of things stuck out to me about Hunter’s character, and I came to the conclusion almost immediately that this kid’s autistic and nobody recognizes it. He basically spends the movie being ridiculed and a literal doctor even says there’s NOTHING wrong with him when he clearly is struggling. He’d benefit from accommodations, like, c’mon. Yes he made some poor decisions but a lot of that was fueled by the people in his life not understanding that he isn’t having outbursts on purpose just for the hell of it. Something about that just resonated deeply with me.

It’s like a Data from Star Trek level conundrum where the writers clearly don’t understand the character they’ve put on screen. I’m literally so confused how they brought Hunter to a mental hospital and the doctor, after like less than a week, came to the conclusion that there was NO problem? He was clearly having outbursts. You’re a doctor! The guy was like “well it’s not drugs, you’re just like this” and Hunter left the hospital with no more explanation than when he came in, he just got to get out and play in the concert and get a broken leg and some good friends.

Okay, that’s all well and good but are we just going to leave off saying that he’s doing this on purpose? It was clear to me that he was not. Yes, it can be argued that he’s spoiled, I will not deny that, but is there not a deeper layer here? when people chalk up any meltdown to “the kid’s a spoiled brat” I get kind of pissed. This movie just doesn’t know what it put down. The dad also feels ableist to me and I don’t like that we’re kind of made to sympathize more with him dealing with this crazy kid than we are made to sympathize with Hunter. He’s literally just played off as crazy. Clearly it’s just that the writers did not understand what they were working with and while I’ll forgive them for that, I would like to do better.

(Hunter also looks scarily exactly like this girl I knew in freshman year of high school named Erin. I don’t know why, he just does and it freaks me out)

I don't write nsfw of minors, so here's sfw.

What to expect: GN! Reader, mention of nightmares

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

He shows an average amount of affection. At school, he talks to you but he doesn’t show physical affection because he’s scared you’ll get picked on for hanging out with him. He also needs to keep up his edgy appearance. However, when you two are alone, he’ll definitely make up for the absence. He shows affection by gift-giving and acts of service. Someone made fun of you? He’ll blackmail them for you. Then, he’ll go buy you your favorite meal along with a stuffed animal from the corner store.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Well… We all know Hunter isn’t an ideal best friend, but he tries to be. You two would probably meet at school. You’d be at your lockers and he would make eye contact with you– his middle school crush. He'd turn red at the face and you'd go talk to him, asking if he's okay.

"Uh- What? Yeah- I'm- I'm fine." His voice cracks

"Okay..? I just wanted to make sure."

And you walk to your classes together.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He loves to cuddle. He's definitely a big spoon, he likes to hold you close to him and smell your hair. He can be a little spoon sometimes if you want him to.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Hunter doesn't want to "settle down", but there's no way he's thinking about leaving you any time soon. He wouldn't have gone into a relationship with you if he didn't love you. When Hunter loves someone, he will always love that person, no matter what happens.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

With that being said, if he had to break up with you, he'd be heartbroken. There would be very few occasions where he would break up with you, however, they still exist. Maybe you didn't have enough time for him anymore. He would go to your house and say everything on his mind, which honestly comes out horribly rude because he doesn't know how to express his feelings. He starts to tear up and hugs you with all of his strength.

"I don't wanna leave you." As he starts crying into your shoulder, cursing himself for showing weakness.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Well… Hunter is still in high school, so he probably won't actually get married. He wouldn't want to marry you any time at the beginning of the relationship, but after dating for a while, he'd probably buy you a cool black ring with his dad's money and "propose" to you. You'd tell everyone you're married, even if not legally.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

… This boy is not emotionally gentle. At all. It's no secret he has a hard time understanding people's point of view. He'll try his best to be gentle with you, though. He's also not physically gentle either. He always punches his friends in the shoulder and play-fights with you. BUT IF YOU GET HURT during one or those play fights… He drops everything just to make sure you're okay.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves hugs. He does it very often when you're not at school. His hugs are like being buried in sand LMAO- He never realizes he's squeezing you too hard.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He says it immediately. When he starts to grow feelings for you, he starts to pick on you a lot; but when he actually realizes those feelings are love, he tells you about it immediately.

"Y/N!! LISTEN- Listen." He's panting from running up to you.

"I know I've treated you like absolute garbage.. But- I really love you."

He's scared but also proud of himself for finally trusting someone enough to catch feelings for them.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He trusts you, but he doesn't trust other people. He gets jealous very easily- even if it's Kevin. He always hugs you from behind when he's jealous, but if jealousy builds up enough, he'll grab your hand and shout at the person he's jealous of. Then you'll both leave with a dramatic exit.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

He likes to kiss you in random places, and it’s adorable. He loves to bury his face in your shoulder and kiss your neck, and especially your collarbone. He, however, would be confused if you did this to him. He’s a sucker for forehead (or top-of-the-head) kisses. They comfort him a lot because they remind him of his mother.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He loves kids. He acts like he hates them, but he’s very much in love with them.

“Kevin. Kevin. Kevin. Kev-” “What, Hunter???” “Look at this little guy” *insert picture of a baby metalhead* “Awh, that’s actually sweet.” “No, dude. It’s totally badass.”

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

You wake up next to him, he’s stroking your hair as if it’s an angel’s, and he truly thought you were one. He gets up to go get you a glass of water, and sometimes it’ll take him 10 minutes to get back because he gets into a fight with his dad. Although, when he does come back, he’ll be kind of moody. (which means extra cuddles)

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

You guys both watch a movie before you go to sleep, but one thing about Hunter is that he’s a LOUD sleeper. He snores and moves a LOT. He can’t help it though.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He slowly reveals himself to you. Sometimes he’ll expose them in an argument, or sometimes he’ll expose them in a “joke.” Whatever you do, don’t laugh. He’ll never open up to you again.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

I think Hunter’s patience is pretty self-explanatory… Long story short, he’s pretty easily angered with anyone, but not as easily when it comes to you.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remembers everything. He can’t even remember what he ate for lunch, and yet he still knows what you said exactly 7 hours and 23 second ago. Your friend hurt you? He knows every single detail and guilt-trips your “friend” about it every time he sees them.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite moment is at the beginning, when you first confessed to each other. He’s never felt so loved before, especially from someone who loves him back. He’ll never forget the sense of security and pure love he felt when you two kissed for the first time.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Hunter is very protective. Someone hurt you? He’ll hurt them worse with that dorky little punch of his

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts in a lot of effort. He’s the kind of guy who will wear jeans and a t-shirt to a fancy dinner, but will wear a suit to a netflix and chill date. On anniversaries, he buys you tons of candy. Mostly your favorite, but also some of his so you can eat them together.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

No matter how many times you tell him not to, he chronically bites his nails. He’s upset that his black nail polish is ruined, but he also knows that rough nails “are so metal, dude.”

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He’s only a bit insecure, but he quickly gets over it when someone/something feeds his ego.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yes. Without you, Hunter would feel like he was abandoned again. Like part of him is missing. How could the best part of his life walk away from him so fast?

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Hunter cries 24/7. He can’t show emotion to a lot of people, so he lets everything out when he’s alone. He cries in the basement listening to slow metal blast in his headphones because he wants to feel the music.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He would HATE if his partner was overbearing. Actually- they wouldn't even be his partner if they were overbearing.

Z = Zzz (What are some sleep habits of theirs?)

He snores. He sleep talks about how Metallica is so much better than Megadeth (he's wrong) He constantly moves around. He cries in his sleep and has lots of nightmares.
