1st Entry - Preparing for Exams
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
January 10, 2023
Most students have a fear of failure and/or being left behind by their classmates and friends. This is a fear I have since elementary school. As a consistent honor student, being left behind and failing exams are one of my biggest fear. So with less than a week to prepare for my finals, I started to gathering all of my learning materials such as PowerPoints and Handouts and compiled them based on their subjects. All of them are organised by name in my laptop for easy access and downloaded them to ensure that it is accessible even with the absence of wifi.
Although I may have started a bit late in making my reviewers, I have plenty of time to do them in school as I have a lot of free time recently. Most of my teachers allowed us to do anything in their period so long as we do not make a lot of noise and cause a ruckus.
One of the ways I spend my time as a break from studying is reading. There is only so much knowledge I can retain before I get tired and overwhelmed by the information. To avoid burn out, reading fantasy books or essays helps me to destress and enables me to take a break whilst doing something productive that isn't school related. Another form of relaxing and one of my motivation is through journaling. Journaling people that inspires me, whether they are fictional characters or real people, never fails to remind me what I want to achieve in the future. It always reminds me to embody their character for motivation, "(this character) will do this. They will be working on this right now."
I started my day early, but to say that I have had a productive day, I need to at least start writing a reviewer for one subject. So when I close my eyes and lay on my bed, I will feel successful in doing that minuscule detail and the fact that at least I have started working on my reviewers for the exams ahead of me

WHY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST CHOOSE A TRACK?
Tumblr media
As incoming Senior High School (SHS) students embark on their educational journey, one crucial decision lies before them - choosing a track. With a variety of options available, including Academic, Technical Vocational Livelihood, Sports, and Arts and Design, selecting the right track is essential for their future success. This blog will explore the reasons why making an informed choice about a track is imperative for incoming SHS students.
Aligning Interests and Goals: Choosing a track that aligns with their interests and goals allows students to explore their passions and talents from an early age. Each track offers specialized knowledge and skills that can pave the way towards a rewarding career path. For instance, the Technical Vocational Livelihood track equips students with the necessary skills for skilled jobs, while the Arts and Design track focuses on visual design and performing arts. Preparing for Future Careers: By selecting a track that caters to their desired future careers, incoming SHS students can gain a head start in preparing for their professional journey. The Academic track, for example, offers various strands, including General Academic, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Accountancy, Business and Management. Each strand provides a specialized curriculum that hones skills required in specific fields. Specialized Courses and Subjects: Within each track, there are specific courses and subjects that provide a deep understanding of the chosen field. For instance, the ABM strand in the Academic track focuses on accountancy, business, and management, while the STEM strand emphasizes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These specialized courses help students develop a solid foundation and expertise in their chosen path. College Preparation: Choosing a track that aligns with their desired college course is essential for a smooth transition from SHS to higher education. Each track offers strands that directly prepare students for their chosen college majors. By selecting the appropriate track, students can acquire the necessary knowledge and skills required for their future academic pursuits. Conclusion: The decision to choose a track in Senior High School is a critical one for incoming students. It allows them to align their interests and goals, prepare for future careers, and gain a comprehensive understanding of their chosen field. By making an informed choice, students can set a strong foundation for their college journey and increase their chances of success in their desired professions. Thus, it is crucial for incoming SHS students to carefully evaluate their options and select a track that best suits their aspirations and talents.

Historical Fiction Recommendation
By: ashyll
Reading has always been a popular hobby by people of today’s time. But of course, understanding and having to face hundreds of texts that formed paragraphs can be quite a bore. There are times where our imagination may not be at work when we are browsing certain stories, as we are drowned by the words leading to a great slumber.
But with digital art arising in this current time, tales and stories are often told in drawings. These are called comics but its name can vary depending on countries or languages it uses, like Japan calls it as manga. When its origin is from China, it is called manhua. And, when its language is Korean, it is called manhwa, which where I will be focusing.
When I read manhwas, I visit the app or site Webtoon most of the times. As it offers thousands of stories to choose from translated into languages that are easy to understand. I am not sure if I am eligible in recommending series from this certain site. But from what I’ve read so far, I would like to share the same joy that I felt when reading, and so people could not waste their time on a great-named series yet has a bad plotline and terrible set of characters.
The first series that I have ever read and my most recommended would be, “The Remarried Empress”.
Tumblr media
The series follows Navier Ellie Trovi, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, whose position is at risk when her husband brought home a mistress and demanded a divorce. In a shocking twist, Navier remarries another emperor and retains her title. But of course, if you’re curious to what more this story can offer, you can start reading it now. Especially if one is a sucker for drama where karma is doing their immaculate job, and with a splash of historical fiction, this one is really for you.
What also amazes me with this is the art itself. Beside it being magical and pleasing, it incorporates a lot of details, especially with the character’s clothes and the setting of each scene.
After reading that first series, it started my love for historical romance, and fed on my love for century-old type of dresses. But anyway, onto my next recommendation, which is quite a different genre from the first manhwa.
The series, “Like Wind on a Dry Branch,” is also one of Webtoon’s long list of historical fiction, fantasy, and romance. But as solemn as the title sounds, I’m afraid the story isn’t any different.
Tumblr media
Set on a fantasy world where plagues are caused by demons, a beautiful widow named Rieta Tristi was almost buried alive as a malicious nobleman’s dying wish. Yet right before her doom, a prince, known as an outcast and a tyrant, paid an unexpected visit that completely made her life took a turn.
This is one of my favorite slow-burn type of romance. And I would like to emphasize on “slow-burn” as the two leading characters’ romantic development can be quite slow. It is because the story focuses more on the healing of Reita’s aching heart from the loss of her husband and only daughter. So if you are not a fan of such romance, then this may not be for you. But I greatly recommend giving this a try and you might shed a tear or two.
Unfortunately, the two mentioned series are still ongoing, which means they are not yet completed as manhwas, but they might be fully available as webnovels. So if you do not like waiting for a week for an update of a chapter, then its best to wait for these two to reach its ending.
I have read a lot of comics, Japanese mangas and Korean manhwas, but I would stop first at these two as they are my most beloved series. So long, and see you again for another set of recommendations!

A chill day in the life of a Grade 12 Humanista
Tuesday, 1:30 pm
Every Tuesday, my school life starts at 1:30 in the afternoon having Filipino sa Piling Larang as our first subject. Since we are done discussing all the topics for the second quarter, our teacher usually lets us do anything we want, but today was different since some students from STEM presented their task in personal development. As the STEM students present their personal journey, some of us are cramming to finish the given tasks for our next subject which is English for Academic and Professional Purposes or simply EAPP. Did I mention that multitasking is one of the many talents of my section? We are masters of doing multiple things at the same time since we like to cram most of our work.
During our time at EAPP, since we were also done with discussions, we were free to do anything but it did not become our free time since we need to revise and let our teacher approve our concept paper for our digital magazine. Most of the groups were stressed out since today was also the deadline for our concept paper, revisions after revisions, and after how many paper was used, our concept paper was finally approved and passed. Others might be wondering why a chill day in the life of a gr 12 student is the title of this blog, but it became a routine for us to cram our work so I consider this a chill day since we are not that loaded compared to other days. After our subjects, me and some of my friends ended our day by rewarding ourselves with a nice cup of coffee from cuppy.

Good day students! For your final task, you will be writing entries of everyday routine through blog.
These entries can discuss the following: a. Preparation for your final examination, b. Journey towards to your thesis, might be about the several revisions you made or even the final defense itself, c. Completion of tasks to certain subject, or d. Biggest problem you have encountered, so far, as a students related to your studies and how you overcome it.
About the format or structure, you can freely choose what particular types of creative nonfiction you want to use, poetry, prose or etc. Authenticity is a plus points since this is all about your journey as a SHS student.

This isn’t a vague at anyone specific or anything i prommy but this has been something ive wanted 2 like just kinda be open n talk ‘bout for awhile but considering some recent stuff ig ill talk bout it as I remember
i think a lot of ppl gotta try and realize like ... Not everyone’s personal opinion isn’t an attack on your own, yk?
Everyone is gonna disagree or agree. Like, if someone disagrees with your take on a character or feelings on something, it isn’t an attack. They aren’t like “fuck you” about it. It’s just people voicing their own thoughts!
Like, I know it can be anxiety inducing. I used to be super anxious about it when I see mutuals disagree with my opinion on things! But, you know, you just gotta remember and know and realize like
Hey, they’re just voicing their own thoughts, too, you know!
And personally, I like to think I’m v open minded. I tend to always try and see other’s perspectives. Like there’s things I disagree with with some of my mutuals, but that doesn’t mean I’m like. Mad at them or look down on them for it. If anything, I just see their perspective and nod and go I respect your view point even if I don’t agree!
And I think that’s really how... Everyone would feel? Or, least, should feel.
No one is attacking anyone, and if someone DOES attack you for your opinion, it’d probably be just more direct. And on Anon. Because no one has balls- KFJGGFD
But, anyway, yeah.
I guess I just wanted to voice and reassure to those who get anxious about this sort of thing? And also just wanna Ig also say if you attack someone because they have a diff opinion than you please log off and realize the world doesn’t revolve around you.
It’s IMPORTANT for people to have differing opinions, especially in media, I think, because it opens interpretation for so many different ideas, views, and things. It isn’t a bad thing!!
But yeah that’s just me rambling my own thoughts as per usual

(Autobiography)
"Each chapter in my life's work of art reveals the well-balanced union of my passions, personal development, and family ties, creating an unforgettable melody that speaks to the core of who I am."
Take a journey through my life's chapters and discover the highs, lows, and surprising turns that have molded me into the person I am today. My 18-year-old tale is as peculiar as my name. I was born in November 2005 in Quezon City, and I've traveled a great distance to get to my present home in Cavite. Named after my father, Enrico, I not only inherited his name but also his introverted nature and a relentless work ethic that keeps me going.
Beyond simply being an auto mechanic, my dad Enrico is a man whose passions are cars and action films. On the other hand, my mother Corazon enthusiastically leaps into the realm of online shopping. I am the youngest and only girl in a family of three, with two older boys who have already embarked on their own family journeys.
Throughout the obstacles that life has thrown at me, my grandmother Mila has always been there for me. Her words of wisdom impacted me, motivating me to go on through difficult times. My hobbies provide me comfort as I navigate my ongoing development; in particular, my passion for cookies inspired me to name my first dog Oreo. With a new animal buddy named "Magic," I am able to fully appreciate the happiness that pets give you.
Although a few teens have an attraction to the excitement of fun novels, my preference is for realistic and depressing romance. I value emotional depth in my experiences, and I find comfort in the sincerity depicted in imperfect relationships. I regularly participate in school activities despite my love of isolation because I want to make a beneficial influence on my environment. In addition, I enjoy reading books that explore human emotions and ways of thinking since it helps me comprehend the core of who I am. and to set higher goals for myself so that I can become the best version of myself.
Realistic portraiture, whether it be of anime characters, favorite foods, or anything else that piques my curiosity, is one of my interests. With its blend of humor and action, anime is how I escape the everyday. I'm the odd one out in my family, so people tend to confuse my hatred of small conversation for shyness. I'm the type of person that adores in-depth discussions about literature, personal stories, and life lessons.
And don't believe it the one day I seemed to embrace my aloofness. 2019 saw me take on a karaoke challenge on New Year's Eve, which revealed my determination to do anything for the appropriate amount. I sang a song, not for praise but for the guarantee of a thousand pesos to support my ever expanding library. I'm not shy when it comes to my passions; I just know how valuable they are.

Long Life Realization
(Reflection Essay)
First and foremost, my life is like a roller coasters that has a ups and down; has full of challenges that takes me to be a strong man. Learnings and realization are the one who help me to see something that is different from what I know on my own perspective. From what I gained to the challenges that I faced, it could be in social, spiritual, physical, as well as on emotional.
As Grade 12 students, I have subjects that tells me to be more open in political participation and in political world. Philippine Politics and Governance(PPG) teach me a lot about politics wherein 1 of the lesson that i cannot forgot is the saying of Aristotle. Aristotle says that through political participation we can achieve a good life; thru that saying, I realized that I should be more open as the time goes by, since back then I don't have any concern about political participation and after that, PPG subjects serve as a eyes for me to see the political situation of our country.
Other than that, I also have an experience that brings realization in my love life. As of my age right now at 17, I also experience the different kinds of love in my life whether it would be from my family, friends and many more. However, a kind of love that gives me more learning & realization is from my schoolmates that gives a trauma in Me. The love that he gave to me is like a tangled rope that cause a unserious relationship that we had. Additionally, the most difficult thing that he done to me is that, he used to reason out his Sister's message even though, he was the one who did that; by that, I feel so many uncontrollable feelings. My heart feels like a broken glass, wherein I'm trying to fix it but I can't.
Furthermore, because of the trauma that last in me, in every relationship that I have recently I always do the conclusion every time my partner and I has a circumstances that we face even though, i don't have evidence that I can prove to myself.
Lastly, there experiences that brings me a lot of realization and helps me to be more strategic thinker, that to intuitive thinking since mostly when I make decision, I always end up up for being intuitive. But because of those experiences that I've encounter in my life, it teach me and I realize that everything should be explained, not just concluding for no reason at all. Nonetheless, being a person that has a open mind for everything that is done by myself is a great contribution to my personality, since it will help me to be practical on the things that I encounter.

3rd Day - Dreaded Test
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
January 12, 2023
A normal and typical days when there is a test in my class, you will see one of the many things all together: students sleeping 30 minutes before the test, eating in the cafeteria with notes that wasn't touched during the meal, students in the classroom playing video games on the phone, asking another student if they have notes, and students who are furiously scribbling on a paper writing down notes at the last minute in the library.
Simply put it; test days = chaotic days. More chaotic than it usually is. However, there is some sort of unity happening within those days. Everyone is willing to help each other study and lend a helping hand (lend notes). We seldom take tests seriously as it is not as serious as the teachers let us take them. Although when the big tests take place, everyone in school will know. These are one of the few days the air is tense within the classroom and nervous chills and jitters run down within the students' body in anticipation.
I was one of the students writing furiously on papers the last minute. I know it is not healthy, so one of my resolutions this year is that I will do better. Unfortunately, I failed within the beginning of the year. But that's okay, I still have the rest of the year to improve.
And I plan to do my very best to make sure it happens.

DAUNTLESS
Days may seem dark and vague
Alone in my battle, I'll never break like an egg.
Unveiling my strength, running fast, fighting back!
Nothing can destroy me, keep on pushing in my track.
Tempted to give up? No, I will never back down.
Levitating through the skies, I am fearless!
Enemies of mine, go suffer because I am dauntless.
Surrendering is not in my vocabulary, I am indestructible.
Sitting on my throne, I will be forever invincible.
