Pov: you and Henry go on a rod trip, but he accidentaly unlocked one of your old traumas. But he can fix It, of course.
Fluff, cute, cuddlings and lots of huggs.
You and Henry were at a car trip, it was your vacation togheter, and you two have being planning it since a long time ago. You´d be on the trip for two weeks. First, there was a 12 hours road to the first city, which you were going to stay there for five days, on a 5 star motel. You and Henry left your house early, planing to get there at 17 pm. He would start driving at 3 am and you would change places at 9 am, so each would drive 6 hours. Everything was perfect. You two got on the car and you layed on the back seat and he sat on the driver place. At 9, he stopped at a caffe for you two have breakfast. You could notice how tired he was. You both ate and got in the car.
Henry: good night, my piglly.
He immediately fell asleep, and you couldn´t believe what you had just heard. Piggly? What did he meant with that? Was he calling you fat, hairy, smelly, what? Your feelings were a mix between anger, sadness, shame and anxiety. Maybe he meant well, but you didn´t care, you two had already discussed about what to call one another, he knew he should ask about adding a new pet name.
He woke up at 15 pm, and you were so mad at him, you could barelly look at him. Piggly? After some time he noticed something was not right with you.
Henry: y/n, is eveyithing okay?
y/n: i don´t know.
Your feelings were hurt, he knew how this kind of things could reach deep in you. You didn´t even know what to say to him.
Henry: Tell me what is wrong.
y/n: you know what is wrong.
He stopped to think about it for one second.
Henry: i´m sorry, but really don´t know.
y/n: then maybe you should think harder.
You two spent the rest of the trip in silence. You arrived at the motel, you checked in and, when you were going to your bedroom, Henry stoped you and said:
Henry: darling, i´ve thought during hours and i still don´t know. Please, tell me what i did, so i may not repeat it.
You kept going and arrived in front of your room, unlocking the door you say:
y/n: you did nothing much, piggly.
He stoped and, in a second, the memory came into his mind. He knew how you didn´t liked this name because of your childhood trauma. When you were a child, you´d spent christmas at your grandma, with your cousins, and your grandma had nicknames for all of you. She meant well, but didn´t knew the damage she was doing to you, by calling all of your cousins "little giraffes", and you "little hippo", or "piggly", somtimes. She called you that name because you were the only "fat" child ( you weren´t actually really fat). You knew it wasn´t her intension to make you feel bad, it was just her way of showing afection. You knew how much she loved you, always pampering you. However, it marked you forever. Henry knew how much he messed up. He entered the room and went to the bed and gripped your waist.
Henry: y/n, i´m so, so sorry. I was so tired that my brain stoped prossesing. I thought about that word because i had just ate bacon, you saw it. So, when i got in the car, i thought about saying good night to you and calling you something nice. I´m really sorry.
You were feeling disgusted by your body, all your anxiety had come back. You got away from his hands.
yn: i need to be alone for a while.
You went to the balcony to looked at te sea and wet your feet at the indoor small pool that the room had. After some minutes thinking, you came back inside and went to him. He was sitting at the bed, looking at his cellphone. He left his phone as soon as he saw you, looking at your eyes. You put your hands on his cheeks.
y/n: let´s eat, it´s been 8 hours since we last ate.
He agrees and you go to the hotel´s restaurant. During dinner, you two discussed what you were going to do for the rest of the night. You two agreed to stay in the pool, to relax from the road.
After dinner, you were at the pool, with some soft music behind. You weren´t as talktive and needy as before, and this was killing Henry. He loved how annoyingly quiet you could be when there were other people around, but when it was just you two, you didn´t shut up. He decides to get near you to resolve it. He gently aproches you from beside, hugging you.
Henry: please, y/n, you know i didn´t mean anything bad. I love you. You are the most beautiful woman ever. Stop overthinking. Just love yourself like i love you. Your grandma was a mean woman, you know that, you told me several times. She accomplished nothing on her life for you to listen to her. This is your own thoughts, pay attention to then, please. I´m so sorry.
You hug him, burying your face at his wet, beefy chest. You get away and keeps looking at the sea. Your behavior was starting to piss him off. He longed this time alone with you for so many time, and now you were upset because of an old lady. You two decided to go to sleep. You took a shower and layed on the bed. He was ready for your usual cuddles, which calmed you from the day, but you weren´t even close to him, you were laying at the extreme edge of the bed.
Henry: darling, come near me.
y/n: not now.
Henry: please, i can make you sleep faster, you know that.
y/n: i´ll sleep in some minutes.
He couldn´t take it anymore.
Henry: if you don´t come here by yourself, i´ll go there and make you come, in a not gentle way.
y/n: i doubt it.
You said and closed your eyes.
Suddenly, you feel a hand brutally grabing your waist and quickly lifting your uper body, as if you were a doll. Henry turned you to be face to face with him. Sometimes you forgot how strong he were. He placed you by his side and said.
Henry: i told you.
You tried to scape.
Henry: darling, please, stay. I need you. i will be the one who wont sleep without my other half.
As he said that, you quiet up. After some minutes, you go on top of him hugging his big chest, feeling his to hot warm through your body. You finnaly relaxed and admitted:
y/n: thank you, for being by my side and understanding my needs. And sorry for ruinning the first part of our trip.
Henry: it is not your fault, darling, i could never blame you for that.
You two fall asleep like that. The next morning, you wake up and go to have breakfast. You were as happy as before, talking about your plans for today and tomorrow, teasing him in sexual ways that you knew it would come back after the sun was sat, and only the moon could see you both at your beachy room,, exploring each others body without a map. A so welcoming and cozy place for the other.

Just got in. See you tomorrow.
Buck pockets his phone and enters the apartment — it’s not home, never really has been — his movements slow and easy, like he’s floating. Buoyed by the sort of love and contentment that can only come from spending an evening at the Diaz house. A few precious hours of dinner, then playing Boggle and Scattergories until Chris begged off to play an online game with his friends. His limbs are loose and humming, like his veins have been injected with liquid starlight. Even the air around him feels syrupy sweet and pleasant. The kind of thick, protective cover that nothing negative could hope to ruin.
He drops his keys in the bowl and immediately walks to the fridge to put away the Tupperware container of leftover mushroom and chickpea meatballs with zoodles for tomorrow’s lunch.
Eddie picked the recipe, saying he wanted to try it. No particular reason, he just did. He’s been doing that more lately, choosing dishes he would make anyway and subbing in vegan ingredients.
Buck took notice immediately and makes sure to show his gratitude in heaping platefuls and commenting on how delicious it all is. He knows from experience that it’s all too easy to end up with dried out, inedible food that shouldn’t be fed to anyone. It’s the least he can do for his best friend making the effort to cook something special just for him. Even if said best friend will never admit that’s why he’s doing it.
At times, if Buck lets himself look too closely, it feels a lot like something else. These acts of service feel a lot like love. And it is. The sort of love two best friends who would do anything for each other have. Buck’s not naïve enough to think that Eddie wouldn’t do the same thing for any of their friends or family. But at the same time it’s also more? Deeper. A sacred bond or formula shared just between them. Like learning Bobby’s chili doesn’t work without the cocoa powder. Someone could try a million different ways and it would never turn out right.
He wants to be brave enough to name this thing they’ve been building since promising to have each other’s backs. This relationship forged in fire, mud, and tsunamis. Built on collapsing foundations, busted down doors, lightning strikes, and ‘Because, Evan’.
If he could be part of Eddie and Christopher’s lives for everything, he would do it in a heartbeat. But that always seems like too much and not enough to ask for. Because Buck is too much and not enough. Acceptable in measured increments for precise amounts of time. For now — probably forever — he tucks that dream away in favor of focusing on what he does have.
With the leftovers safely put away, he grabs a beer, twisting off the cap and listening to it slide across the countertop, finally slowing to a stop next to the utensil caddy. It’s… loud. Too loud for such a small object. Or maybe the apartment is just too… cavernous? Empty?
Buck leans back against the counter, taking a lengthy sip and visually assessing his space. He has things. The right amount of things, even. After all, he’s one single person. How much could he need? He drowns the thought with more beer when his mind tries to remind him of six cheese lasagna and couches and having the answers.
He decides it’s not worth ruining his still relatively excellent mood by worrying over something as trivial as a chunk of metal, and moves out to the patio. It might do him some good.
The atmosphere is filled with the sights and sounds of the city at night. A complex symphony of traffic, music and people wrapped in an LED haze that starts at the street and drifts slowly upward. It’s a familiar melody that, just like the apartment, isn’t home but does its best to provide comfort.
He manages to pick out a few stars peeking through. Not full constellations. Those are impossible, staying hidden like the ancient giants they are. It’s nice to still be able to see the twinkling specks, even if they’re nothing like some places he’s been.
On the ranch in Montana he would lay on the hood of his Jeep and stare for what felt like hours. Feeling small, but also like something was waiting for him. Like he was part of something bigger that he just hadn’t discovered yet. Looking at the sky now doesn’t feel that way. More like being at sea, adrift and searching. Waiting to be found, though he’s not quite sure by who or what.
It reminds him of a documentary he watched once about otters. The mothers fluff up their pup’s fur and leave them to float while they hunt for food. The babies are powerless to do anything except spin in a circle until she returns. Sometimes Buck feels like that. Like somebody has given him enough support to turn in place but not actually go anywhere.
He casts a look at the table and chairs and finds himself thinking of fixing, being at your worst, trying again anyway, and— no. Clearly being outside isn’t helping, so Buck returns indoors, hoping the television will prove to be enough of a distraction.
As he searches for something to watch, it seems reasonable he just needed a better place to focus his attention that isn’t his own inner chatter. He’s already slightly irritated that the vibrant glow from earlier has faded so significantly. Maybe there’s still a chance it can be recovered.
He quickly settles on a cooking program and that gets him smiling again. He doesn’t even particularly care what’s being presented, just that it evokes the same warmth as being welcomed home and brown eyes with flecks of gold. At least until the next episode comes on.
This one features a couple, a husband and wife posed in their studio kitchen. They’re surrounded by pristine white cabinets, gleaming mixing bowls, and perfectly measured ingredients that will make a stunning something-or-other. When it’s complete they’ll pull it from the stainless steel double oven to be served on the prop table that’s been set like a photo shoot for Better Homes & Gardens.
Buck can’t help but notice how they move in harmony, fluidly traversing around each other, like a ballet. Like partners. Maybe it’s all for an audience, but it looks genuine. Not the type of movement that’s choreographed or faked. He stares, scrutinizing every instance of adoring looks and playful gestures until something within him finally cracks.
The hollow ache that usually lives in his chest suddenly feels deeper. Wider. Like it may actually break through and tear him apart, causing him to wonder how such emptiness can feel so massive. As if his ribs are slowly cracking open, snapping one by one, stretching the skin while crushing his lungs and heart. He wants to scream or something. Anything to untangle the mess sitting under his sternum.
Through rapid, gasping breaths Buck tries to refocus, to take himself back. Even just fifteen minutes. Is that so much to ask? Returning to blissfully, ignorantly, mindlessly observing?
Despite what he wants, the screen remains unchanged. Mr and Mrs Fucking Perfect carry on with their routine, blurred and watery in front of him. And Buck – he’s spinning in circles again, too helpless to do anything except wait. Except he doesn’t want to. He’s so tired of drifting and circling and clinging and pausing.
It’s just- when he’s the guy who’s always trying to fix things that are out of his control… what is he supposed to do?

Eddie puts the last of the dry dishes away in the bottom cabinet, and not a moment too soon. He’s got an early shift in the morning and has to get to bed. He could have left them in the rack for tomorrow, but it gave him extra time to mentally replay the earlier parts of the night. Like watching Buck smile, all pleased and fond, every time Eddie thanked him for a helpful cooking tip. Or watching Chris break out in a full belly laugh at one of Buck’s corny dad jokes.
It really is a form of self-torture sometimes, having Buck over for dinner and homework and board games. Pretending they’re a family and this is a normal everyday thing he gets to have.
He tells himself it’s for Chris, too, but he also knows that’s a blatant lie. If Chris wasn’t a factor Eddie’s pretty sure he’d invent any and all reasons to spend more time with Buck.
Eddie sighs and lays the dish towel over the sink edge. The ridiculous one that says Silence of the Yams over a print of a sliced up root vegetable. It came as part of a set Buck and Chris gave him last Thanksgiving. It’s probably not a coincidence he uses this particular one the most. The shade is a nearly identical match to the burnt orange sweater Eddie always likes on Buck.
There are times it feels like he’s not the only one with all these feelings welling up inside, trying to prevent them from bleeding out through his pores and spilling onto Buck. Like there’s something in the casual touches and glances that pass between them. Something electric and charged that’s more than bros or friends and decidedly not platonic.
One day, maybe, he’ll work up the nerve to tell Buck what’s in his heart. To ask him on a date and hope he’s not fucking up the best relationship that’s ever happened to him and his son. For now he’ll take whatever Buck is willing to give. Even if it only ever comes in the form of shoulder nudges, zoo trips, and Keeping the Peas housewares.
He starts his nightly routine, walking a path through the rooms, turning off lights and making sure doors are locked. When the final throw pillow is returned and the last pile is straightened, he hears the tentative knocking.
The noise immediately puts him on edge, setting off his protective instincts. Nothing good can come from someone being at his house this late. Christopher is in bed and Buck has his own key. Eddie tiptoes across the floor to peer through the peephole, shocked to discover who’s waiting on the other side.
“Buck?” Eddie turns the deadbolt, opening the door wide for his friend.
This isn’t anything like the night he came seeking respite from Maddie’s well-intentioned visitor train. Instead of standing tall, barreling past Eddie, Buck stares straight ahead, unblinking and motionless with slumped shoulders that make him appear small. Eddie can see how his eyes are puffy and red-rimmed. He looks utterly broken.
Before Eddie can say his name again, Buck surges forward over the threshold. He falls into Eddie, wrapping his arms around Eddie’s waist and burying his face into the crook of his neck.
Eddie pushes the door shut, not bothering to listen if it latched correctly or not. He returns the embrace, one hand on Buck’s back, the other gently petting his hair as Buck’s body shudders against his own.
He gratefully absorbs each whimper and sob. The way thick, searching fingers clutch at his shirt.
“Shhhh, hey. I’ve got you.”
Buck was fine a few hours ago. What the hell could have happened since then?
“I- I’m sorry, Eds.” Buck begins to pull back, rubbing away the wetness on the sleeve of his maroon hoodie. “It’s late. I shouldn’t have- I’m gonna–” He jerks his chin toward the doorway.
“Uh-uh. None of that.” Eddie lightly grips Buck’s elbow, a silent question. Buck hesitates, looking between Eddie and the entryway, before he acquiesces to letting Eddie tug him closer again.
He wants to do any number or ill-advised things like hold Buck’s face between his palms, kiss away every tear, and murmur every wonderful thought he’s ever had about the man in his arms until Buck believes them. For now he settles for cradling and rubbing soothing patterns and silently loving. He’ll stand here all night if that’s what Buck needs. He can do that.
“I don’t know what happened. All I did was turn on Food Network,” Buck warbles. Then he shakes his head against Eddie’s shoulder, exhaling a world weary breath. A puff of air expelled by someone carrying the universe and trying to make it appear no bigger than a classroom globe. Eddie’s, unfortunately, more than a little familiar.
“That’s not true,” Buck confesses.
The silence returns and Eddie waits for Buck to elaborate on what he means. It isn’t long before the explanation comes, so muted that Eddie almost doesn’t catch it.
“I’m tired, Eds. Of pretending to be happy alone and waiting to be chosen. Tired of holding back just so the wrong person likes some version of me that isn’t even authentic. It’s just all so exhausting.”
I’d choose you. Three words Eddie can’t bear to make himself say out loud, because his best friend is hurting and now is most definitely not the time for that kind of confession. So he holds onto them a little longer, ignoring the sting where they settle back into his heart. A burning pain that only becomes more intense when Buck burrows impossibly closer, continuing to cling to Eddie like a lifeline.
Buck speaks again, sounding unfathomably small and heartbroken. “Am I that hard to love?”
“No.” Eddie’s answer is immediate and unwavering. As true as the night he first decided in front of their captain and an exploding ambulance.
Buck responds with a skeptical huff. “You have to say that because you’re my best friend.”
Eddie slides the hand on the back of Buck’s neck forward, grazing over his cheek and under his chin until he can tip his head up. Even in the darkness, Buck’s eyes are exceptionally blue. Endless depths that manage to steal Eddie’s breath and reflect back every future he yearns for.
It’s been ages since Eddie’s given any serious thought to last first kisses or until death do we part, but he would swear under oath that’s what he sees now.
“No,” Eddie reiterates. This should probably be more difficult and be ratcheting up his anxiety. But it doesn’t. Instead he’s wrapped in a distinct calm. An undeniable certainty, because what he’s about to say is true and however Buck reacts won’t change it. “I have to say that because I love you.”
Buck blinks and his mouth falls open in an imperfect o. “Y-you what?” He whispers.
Now that he’s said it once, a second time is that much easier. “I said I love you. And I will always choose you. All of you. Over and over. Every version. If you’ll let me.”
Buck’s eyelashes flutter, fresh tears starting to pool there, and he looks at Eddie with such awe and disbelief, like he can’t accept that someone would genuinely want him. Not that he doesn’t understand the feeling, but it shatters Eddie to think Buck has spent even a second believing he’s unlovable.
“Of course I’ll let you. How is that even a question?” Buck asks, as if they haven’t been dancing around exactly that for years. He stands to his full height, never letting his hands drop, beaming down with the smile Eddie’s claimed as just for him. “But, Eds?”
“Yeah, Buck?”
“This has been a really long hug. Not that I’m complaining. I was just kinda hoping I could kiss you. Finally. I’ve been kinda wanting to for a while.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
And who is Eddie to deny him that?
“Please,” he sighs into the diminishing space between them. His tone borders on a plea, but this is Buck. The person who has seen Eddie at his most vulnerable, who sees Eddie more than he’s ever allowed anyone else.
They drift closer until their lips brush, just enough that Eddie gets a taste of Buck’s horchata lip balm. Eddie can’t understand needing more than the 3-pack he can get at the grocery store, but right now he’s not complaining about the sweet, cinnamon flavor.
Eddie deepens the kiss, pausing when he can make himself break away, just enough to murmur ‘I love you’, wanting to make sure Buck knows he’s all in. That this isn’t a fluke or temporary, pitying lapse in judgment.
Because he does, and he is, with every fiber of his being. He loves him, loves him, loves him.
Suddenly Buck pulls back, breathless and wide-eyed, his already plush lips kiss swollen, tempting Eddie to bring them back together. “I just realized I never said I love you, too. Because I do a-and I really need you to know that.”
Eddie hums appreciatively, claiming Buck’s mouth again, unable to stay apart any longer now that he knows what it is to kiss Evan Buckley. He submits to the love and adoration and the way they fit like two puzzle pieces, further solidifying how they’re meant to complete each other. He doesn’t know how he ever thought he knew what love was.
There are infinite meanings for different people. For Eddie, it’s painted in hues of burnt orange and blue. Folded in cheesy puns and always having a fresh container of oat milk in the fridge. Stated in facts about retrofitted ceiling tiles and light fixtures; conveyed in I know you did, what are you afraid of, and I misunderstood the assignment.
It’s following his heart on the winding path that led him to a reality better than any fantasy.

With the most recent installments to the fnaf franchise, the discussion of Cassie's father has become a main topic. The common theory is that Cassie's father is "the Bonnie bro". I'm personally against this theory and here's why
(Note: please take everything I say with a grain of salt I don't know the lore like the back of my hand and this is all just my opinion)
1. Satisfaction
The main reason I'm against the theory is because it's not narratively satisfying. This franchise is defined by its exclusively when it comes to characters. They always want to recycle the same characters we've always had. "I always come back" is literally one of the most iconic lines from the series. So to me, to have some random, no name, only mentioned once, less than a minute of screen time, ass dude become an important figure? Hell no.
2. Background info
In order to identify Cassie's father, we must use the information that is given by Cassie. Cassie is a racially ambiguous girl with some dark features who is at least a decade old. She says during Ruin that her dad works for fazbear, has had a deep love for the company, and it's also implied that she hasn't seen him in awhile. In help wanted 2, the player is an older ("hey, you look like you got kids") and masculine (listen to the burp sounds when eating food) worker for fazbear. All three of those fit the bill for Cassie's father. So if I don't think it's Bonnie bro, who do I think it is?
3. It's Micheal
In help wanted 2, there's three (maybe even 4) different time periods we play through. We play through sister location, security breach, and ruin (the additional 4th being fnaf 6). Clearly even though help wanted 2 is supposed to a fazbear employee training sim, it's so much more since the games seem to transcend time by going back and forth between past and future. So that means the player has lived through all of those times. We know for a FACT that Micheal is the main character for sister location. In fact, there ARE no other human characters in sister location besides the dead technicians (supporters of the Bonnie bro theory suggest that Cassie's dad still worked at sister location despite this). There are also multiple voice lines in the game that are extremely important! There's the stuff mystic hippo says, there's baby's lines, and "why are you so special".
Baby says "I feel bad for you" , "I like it here. It's safe, safe forever.", "i recognize you", and "you should have known I'd find you". These lines are PERSONAL. This is NOT stuff she's saying to someone she saw years ago at birthday party or to a random worker that was at sister location. This is her BROTHER, whom she has a hard history with. Why is the player so special? Because it's Michael, and he's always been important.
Michael, the first born, the one responsible for the death of CC. Michael, the one who went location to location, trying to undo the sins of his father. It's Michael that's always been the main character.
Michael also fits the bill for Cassie's dad. He's an older, masculine guy who has a history with working for fazbear, and if we're looking at how Michael looks in the bite of 1983, he and Cassie look similar. (Meaning Michael has dark features like tan skin, brown hair, dark eyes. Of course tho, it doesn't really matter what Michael looks like since Cassie could just look a lot like her other parent. Michael is also canonically white so-)
In the pizza Plex, there's a recreation of Michael's room from sister location. It's not the real room, since there's no evidence that Michael's house was built near sister location, or that sister location and fnaf 6 were one in the same. Micheal's room isn't found underneath the pizza Plex where fnaf 6 was, but in the main levels of the building. His room is also altered. The door is smaller, the show on the screen is different, and there's a message on the wall. If Michael isn't an active player at this point, why is his room here. No one else besides him would recognize that room. This also proves that Micheal was somewhat around during security breach, since that is the only time we see this room.
With that being said, let's move on.
4. Counterpoints
It is heavily stressed that Cassie's dad likes Bonnie. Michael is often associated with foxy, since he would attack CC with a foxy mask on. However, he's only associated with foxy in fnaf 4, and that's it. I don't think he would continue to associate with it decades after. Bonnie was always William's favorite and the rabbit is always associated with his evilness and empire. It's unlikely that Micheal would associate with something so connected to his father. There's two things I say to this. 1: it could be that Micheal doesn't like Bonnie/is impartial but says he does to Cassie since she's a kid and he's her dad. If little Cassie asks her dad, who's your favorite animatronic, he's gonna pick one. By choosing to stay so close to fazbear, he has to somewhat open his heart to the company a bit post the defeat of Afton. 2: when you look at the Bonnie mask in the hidden chest of PQ4 and the AR Bonnie mask in Ruin, the masks are red underneath the purple. The foxy mask is red.
At this point in the story, Micheal is "dead". He died in the fnaf 6 fire. However, given that baby, William, and others have clearly come back after the fire, who's to say Micheal can't come back as well?
So is Michael Cassie's dad? Idk, but I think there's some real compelling stuff.

I am a huge fan of Animal Crossing and so today I’m going to do a list of my Top 10 Favorite Villagers! Let’s go!
1. Olivia
A lady who dines fine and throws down in bars, Olivia is my all time favorite AC villager! She was the very first villager I met in my very first playthrough of ACNL and I was instantly in love with her. Her personality, her look, her player interactions all stole my heart! Since then, I’ve been searching for her in New Horizons so we can once again live together. I imagine she sounds just like Beyoncé.

2. Ribbot
I absolutely adore this himbo. The embodiment of ‘pure of heart, dumb of ass’. Brags about his muscles all the time even though he’s a short froggy robot and technically doesn’t have any. (The muscle is his heart. Even though that’s a not a muscle, that’s an organ. He again doesn’t know the difference.)

3. Bella
Bella is an absolute win in my book for looking like Avril Lavigne if she were turned into a mouse, named Bella, and wanted to be a pop star instead of a pop punk star. I love her forever, and when I saw her all by herself on that island I visited in NH, I wasted no time in convincing her to come live with me again!

4. Stitches
Stitches is the reason I wish there was a “Hug” Reaction. LOOK AT HIM! HE IS A LIVING TEDDY BEAR! HIS HOUSE IS A BIG PLAYROOM WITH LOTS OF TOYS AND A LULLABY PLAYING! He’s just like the player’s baby brother. I wanna protect him and feed him candy all the time.

5. Merengue
Let me begin by saying I ADORE this strawberry rhino. She’s as sweet as her name and her appearance says she is. BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW WHEN I PUT DOWN NL FOR A MONTH AND HER ASS MOVED OUT. SHE LEFT ME! Now I look for my sweet girl in NH for a sweeter reunion 🥲

6. Bitty
Bitty is one of the BEST GIRLS, OKAY? She’s fancy as hell, dignified and she sounds just like Hetty from the American version of Ghosts. (Or I imagine she does.) She is pink, the color of love because I love her. She’s also special to me because (this is retold from my mom) I was sleepwalking a few weeks ago, and when my mom found me and took me back to bed, I happily announced to her “I have a hippo!” Bitty was the hippo in question, she’d just moved it. (Pretty sure she’s my mom’s favorite villager.)

7. Muffy
One of my favorite goths in media. Not only does she curse you with her goth girl magic (trust me I’m a goth myself) but she will teach you throw hands. In other words, she doesn’t fucking play. Her makeup is also on point and I also wish in NH she’d teach you how to do it like hers!

8. Rasher
He was the very first grumpy villager I’d ever met. At first I thought “what a dick, why’d he move here if he hates everyone?” Then I realized, “Oh, you’re a softie. You just have a rough exterior! You’re sweet like candy coated bacon!” (Yes, that was on purpose.) His appearance is sick, and the ‘grumpy’ voice perfectly matches it!

9. Eugene
Eugene reminds me of those movie rocker bad boy who isn’t bad just likes leather jackets and loud guitars love interests. He’s a sweetheart when he isn’t talking about himself (which is half his dialogue but it’s hilarious) and I love how the smug types are so warm towards you when you become friends. I’m all for flirty dialogue and Eugene has the LOOK and FEEL of it. Plus I adore koalas, especially ones with metal guitars and in leather jackets.

10. Tiffany
Tiffany is a fucking baddie. Look at her! She’s got a punk rock look and she takes shit from no one. Redd actively avoids her (and Olivia and Muffy too) because she threatened a ‘reversal of the fox and the rabbit’ if he tricked one of her friends again. He’s too scared to figure out what that means. I’M too scared to figure out what that means. Tiffany gives you style tips and has you over for drinks at her house while you discuss the social impact of punk music. Makeup also on point.

Day 127: Sunday May 7, 2023 - “The Lou’s Zoo”
After a nice breakfast at Ben’s house, and a ride in Eve’s big tree swing, we rolled into the Central West End to visit Forest Park - whoa talk about nostalgia being back here!   I used to spend a lot of time in this park, circling the back path that now I crossed pushing a stroller almost 15 years later, but an old friend Ben beside me still after all this time commenting on how nice it is that he’s now seen William 3 times before he is 2!  That is pretty memorable and I am glad for the good men in my life and that I can count him as a friend, and that he’d be willing to go out in public with me on a muggy day like today where the sweat just ran out of me....like my desert dried bones didn’t know what to do with all the moisture in the air. 
The big adventure for today was to take William to the St Louis Zoo, which I believe to be one of the best zoos in the whole country on the simple fact that it is free on top of also being pretty damn awesome.  Beautiful here with all the greenery and the trees and the well done habitats with flowing water and waterfalls.   I made a big deal with William about finally seeing a Hippo for the first time and we went straight for that right away and with amazing luck, all three hipps were all together napping up against the glass where William could stand in awe and watch the bubbles come out of their noses, occasionally lifting for air, then settling back down on each other for their Sunday Siesta.  Ten Minutes in, and the zoo visit was a complete success. 
This Zoo, I’d always bring family and visitors here for a run around the park and a chance to see Giraffes.  I even sent AC here once on a long overnight to connect with a place that feels like home to me.  But to experience it all again with William in the stroller, after spending so much time together in our own zoo, was memorable - you see and experience it all different now as a Dad, seeing the wonder in his eyes while a polar bear swims in front of him, or real live penguins danced on the rocks for him, running with their arms out behind them like he does.  The Sun Bear definitely won for best overall habitat and we agreed that he is winning at Sun Bear life.  I was impressed with the new monkey habitat built in together with a kids monkey play area.  We saw several Asian Elephants, and Grizzlies, Sea Lions swimming.  It was a pretty awesome day - and several times I caught pictures of William looking lovingly and respectfully at his Uncle Ben - hes.a good Dad and a good man, and I appreciate that he has a good soul to look up to along with all the other really good friends and dad-models I have backing me up on this journey.  They played together and laughed and looked at Puffins and I imagine that William probably thinks this is Ben’s zoo.   Just imagine when we come back and get you the behind the scenes tour!   
A day after going to his fourth major league ballpark, this was William’s fourth major league zoo to go with Detroit, Phoenix, and Tucson and it really got me thinking that maybe this could be our thing for this next little stress.  Which zoo should we go to next?  Cant wait to find out!

Favourite Album: i think landmark is just always going to be a part of my life forever and ever to be honest with you. it's the album that got me into hippo campus and the summer a few years ago now that it was the only album i listened to for 3 months was the lowest place i've ever been in and i think this music + walking aimless and flat broke in a city i had literally run away to on a manic whim for hours because i worked all the time but never made enough money to do anything there + listening to landmark on total flat out loop until i heard the music even when i wasn't listening to anything - is something i don't think i will ever be able to forget. those 3 months were...not ideal? but this one album has attached to it every single small shred of a good thing, a good feeling, a good meal, relief from sitting down after a 12 hour restaurant shift, sunset in the best autumn weather i've ever experienced, riding a bus that wasn't for school for the first time, my first taste of a real, actual city life, boardwalk wandering, the laughter however rare and even the month i spent in the hospital; which, mind you, was easily the best month of the whole three of them. really good album. lp3 is really bomb too :)
Least Favourite Album: mmm. demos I ? but not. all the songs on it i just vibe better with the mesh of how demos II is set up...
Song that got me into them: it has quite literally been. years and years but i think it was halocline, waaay. way back in 2015 on my not-boyfriend's 8tracks. then i forgot about the band when i stopped talking to my not-boyfriend. then found them again a few years later with bambi, which still is very very very dear to me and very important

Vaudeville -- aw hey apparently i have vaudeville relatives on my mom's side that's fun. this song does sort of slow down but again the pace is very intentional / consistent still. almost like a heart beat! i don't know how to word it but there's some kind of specific Thing that gish is doing with the music overall that is very funky and i enjoy it very much. the words and phrases and curses placed so Casually throughout the music is very harsh in a very good way. like a scrape at a waterpark. or rope burn on a tire swing.
Friday Night Placebo -- i've been eyeing the title of this song this whole time... it definitely is starting to slow down, but again it's like the entire album is on a curve. okay it ramps up and then down. i also feel like it's possible the album is weaving a specific story but i can't read the lyrics while i type this so i struggle to hear all the words (#hohW) but i do love just this feeling. very hazy? is that the word? i'm trying to find this word that encompasses this feeling. it's not hazy, it's not juvenile. what is the word! sorry i kept getting called by a telemarketer during this song but tbh that added i think to the intended emotion overall. maybe. it feels very ... not rugged. what is the word. oh the song's over--
Hexagons and Other Fun Materials -- funky groovy ass bass line. hell yes. also i love shapes please explain math and shapes to me. oh no i relate to this song already oh g-d oh fuck fuck oh no. fuck. well. what a fun little story about wanting to find something to excel in so that you will seem in some way meshed with those around you, but you are not able to force yourself into it. okay. there's voices in this one but i relate so deeply to the song itself in a way that is a little shocking for some reason that actually i don't even care. i might even Like those voices being there. oh my g-d i need to call my therapist. sorry. hesus christ.
Cokesbury -- back down to the dampened tone... you know those hoodies? with the - like - wool, i think, or maybe hemp...? thick knit and super super rough textured, with the slow diamond patterns. you can get them in stoner shops a lot i think. that's what this sounds like. it smells like incense and a super dark, barely lit, cramped souveneir shop in a college town (not a college city. college Town.) there's like one employee who leans against the cashier counter and ignores you as long as they possibly can (as they should). this album is probably the type of music that would play on those shitty little sony speakers hung up way too far apart in each corner of the store and played at too low a volume to actual build into a song you can hear properly. it's great.
It's Afternoon, I'm Feeling Sick -- this album came out in 2016 which is when-ish i moved across the country to live with my dad i hadn't spoken to in 5+ years out of nowhere and i know this is not true this is a joke here but also i do think if you put this album to a wordless biopic of the last 2 years of high school and first 2 years of my dad having custody of me you would think it had been written for that biopic specifically. good song!
Presumably Dead Arm -- yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes the intro. is nice. yes there's the words. oh i love this alreadyyyy. second to last song on the album yes babe i love it. honey you are nothing to me!!!! i am dying on the sofa and i'm . oh my G-D this one could be the ending of the biopic where i had run away from home and was insane for several years following. i want to have a coffee with gish gonna be honest with you i think we'd have some things to talk about. i love the "i want to go back, i want to know you when i didn't and i want to have what everyone i knew had" ... oh boy this song hits for me. i think this one's going on my "songs that look like me" playlist. btw i genuinely have no idea if any of this Says Anything about my mental state or whatever so like feel free to psychoanalyze me should you ever want to i love being perceived. 10/10 song. oh no we're almost done. i was just starting. where did the time go.

Oh goodness, okay.
Sometimes, Home is a Person. I think I've said this on multiple occasions, but this will always be the fic that's at the top of my favourites list. I got to write the future that I wanted for David and Patrick where they're madly in love, still hot for each other, and dealing with everyday problems.
Everything She Ever Wanted. I will always and forever be a Marcy Brewer fan. I think this *might* have been the first fic in the fandom from Marcy's POV? In my head, Marcy loves her son, she just doesn't always know how to talk to him.
If Dreams Were Lightning and Thunder Was Desire. I was very tempted to put my entire Everyday Magic series on this list, because I love them all. This one is a solid favourite, because how can I not love a meet-cute with David as the Angel of Death?
Shoot and Score. This fic is less than 1000 words, but it's one of the best twists I've ever written. Plus it has street hockey.
Strangers, Friends, Husbands, Lovers. It was a struggle trying to pick an AU for this list, but I wrote an entire blog to accompany this one, so it has to be at the top of the list. Plus, so many people yelled at me about the slow burn, which was also fun.

can you (only if you want to and have the time) rank every single concert youve been to last year from 1-10 and maybe give a short review on why ypu liked it/didnt like it. and please be honest and dont give them a 10/10 just because theyre your favorite artist. its just because we both like the same artists and i wanna go to concerts of them but i cant spend my money on all of them so i wanna know which ones you liked the most so that i can differentiate. thank youu :)
1. Greta Van Fleet
It’s honestly hard to explain, you just have to be there, but it’s an incredible show. The flow is seamless and they just create such a loving atmosphere. Plus the talent is just insane. Every show I’ve been to (4 in total) just puts a huge smile on my face. 10/10
2. Noah Kahan
The vibes: immaculate, the stand up specials he does in between song: amazing. It’s was just so weirdly… relaxing? Like if a concert full of screaming could be comforting and relaxing. It feels like everyone is just getting something off their chest and is in a group therapy session. It’s great. 10/10
3. Paramore
I’d been wanting to seee them live for sooooo long. And the album I saw them tour is my favorite so it just meant a lot. They put on an amazing show, full of energy and the whole band is so insanely talented. 9/10

I mean it’s a great trip down memory lane and fueled by nostalgia and everyone’s just so excited to be there. 8/10 (3 hours is too long sorry lol)

He has great energy, just seems very comfortable on stage and he even went in the middle of the crowd during a song to dance with the crowd. And his voice is identical to the recorded version. 7/10

Perfect show to chill and vibe out to, just a good hang out. 7/10

Just a really chill vibe, everyone was just swaying and enjoying the moment. 7/10

Of course, I’d have to end up taking Julian for myself, but you’re so nice, I know you’d understand. BUT but but but, during the second and third books, you grow a backbone! You get smart! You get sassy! You, dare I say, become quite the little blonde badass! And even though I still disagree with some of your decisions, I’m proud of you for venturing off the Bella path and turning into someone I’d be proud to call a friend. (There’s literally a page where you talk about your side missing his side, and how you always sit on his left, and I’M SORRY WAIT, does this book take place in the 1890s?!!) Plus, any girl who would choose her asshole preppy boyfriend over the GORGEOUS PRINCE OF DARKNESS obvs needs some kind of blow to the brain. Like, the feminist in me is embarrassed every time I re-read the first book, cos you’re sooo dependent on Tom. You’re basically the prototype of Bella, minus the clumsy. Jenny, Tom and their friends (Audrey, Michael, Summer, Dee and Cousin Zach) begin the game and immediately find themselves trapped in a Victorian house in the middle of the Shadow World, an icy and desolate place made from the stuff of legends (and we’re talking, like, all legends). Given the title of this trilogy, you can guess that it isn’t Hungry Hippos. In preparation for Tom’s birthday party, Jenny wanders into a mysterious store, where she meets a strange and beautiful boy who sells her a board game. Jenny always plays it safe, so of COURSE the one time she gets remotely reckless, INSANE SHIZZ HAPPENS. And, like most perfect people, she’s also hella boring, having dated the same guy, Tom, since second grade (WHAT) and allowing other people with more personality to take center stage in her life. With a disposition as sweet as her honey-colored hair, Jenny Thornton is one of those perfect girls you wanted to hate in high school but never could, cos she’s SO FREAKING NICE. After being thoroughly sucked in, I cursed the same weather that I previously celebrated, because I HAD TO GET TO BOOKSTOP TO GET THE OTHER TWO BOOKS AND I’M SURE I CAN DRIVE ON ICE I MEAN I HAVE MY LEARNER’S PERMIT OK MOM?!!! Meditation: What does wealth and riches have to do with the kingdom of God? Jesus seemed to praise a steward (a manager entrusted with his master's goods) who misused his wealthy employer's money. What did the steward do that made Jesus praise him? The steward was responsible for managing his wealthy landowner's property. The steward very likely overcharged his master's tenants for their use of the land and kept more than his fair share of the profit. When the landowner discovered the steward's dishonest practice he immediately removed him from his job, leaving him penniless and ashamed to beg or do manual work.
The necessity of prudent foresight to avert disaster
Before news of his dismissal became public knowledge, the shrewd steward struck a deal with his master's debtors. In discounting their debts he probably was giving up his generous commission. Such a deal won him great favor with the debtors. Since the steward acted as the landowner's agent, such a deal made his master look very generous and forgiving towards those who owned him money. Surely everyone would praise such a generous landowner as the town hero! Since the master could not undo the steward's cancellation of the debts without losing face and making his debtors resent him, he praised the steward for outwitting him and making him appear as a generous and merciful landowner.
Generous giving is rewarded with treasure that lasts forever
What's the point of Jesus' parable? Jesus did not praise the steward for his dishonest behavior but for his shrewd foresight in relieving the debts of others who he believed would, in turn, treat him as a friend and show him mercy, kindness, and generosity in his time of need and great want. Jesus immediately followed this parable with an exhortation to his followers to make use of the world's material goods, including "tainted money" ( which in Hebrew means "unrighteous mammon"), to relieve those who are indebted to us for the material and physical help we give them in their time of need and want. In the Scriptures generous giving is connected with alms giving - the sharing of our financial and material resources with those in need (Luke 12:33). Those who receive alms become your friends because you are merciful to them in their time of need. And God who sees all, rewards those who are generous in helping others.
Generous giving will be repaid in kind. Augustine of Hippo reminds us that we are all beggars of God.
"Even though you possess plenty, you are still poor. You abound in temporal possessions, but you need things eternal. You listen to the needs of a human beggar, you yourself are a beggar of God. What you do with those who beg from you is what God will do with his beggar. You are filled and you are empty. Fill your neighbor from your fullness, so that your emptiness may be filled from God's fullness" (Sermon 56, 9).
Paul the Apostle reminds us, "We brought nothing into this world and we cannot take anything out of this world" (1 Timothy 6:7). The Lord Jesus wants us to make good use of all the resources that he gives us and that come into our possession. Our life is short - but how we invest in this present life will determine our future in the age to come when the Lord Jesus will raise our mortal bodies to immortality and give to each what he or she has sown in this present life.
The rabbis had a saying, "The rich help the poor in this world, but the poor help the rich in the world to come." Ambrose, a 4th century bishop commenting on the parable of the rich fool who tore down his barns to build bigger ones to store his goods. said: The bosoms of the poor, the houses of widows, the mouths of children are the barns which last forever. The true treasure which lasts is the treasure stored up for us in heaven. God richly rewards those who give generously from the heart to help those in need.
True generosity does not impoverish - but enriches the giver
What is the enemy of generosity? It's greed, the excessive desire for personal gain and security. However, we do not need to be afraid for true generosity does not impoverish the giver, but enriches that person a hundredfold! Generosity expands the soul - but greed contracts it. God is generous and superabundant in lavishing his gifts upon us. We can never outmatch God in generosity. He has given us the best of gifts in sending us his only-begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who offered up his life for us on the cross. The Father also offers us the gift of the Holy Spirit who fills us with the fruit of peace, joy, patience, kindness, love, and self-control (Galatians 5:22) - and many other blessings as well. Everything we have is an outright gift of God. Do you know the joy and freedom of blessing others with the gifts and resources God has given to you?
What controls or rules your life?
Jesus concludes his parable with a lesson on what controls or rules our lives. Who is the master (or ruler) in charge of your life? Our "master" is that which governs our thought-life, shapes our ideals, and controls the desires of the heart and the values we choose to live by. We can be ruled by many different things - the love of money or possessions, the power of position, the glamor of wealth and prestige, the driving force of unruly passions and addictions. Ultimately the choice boils down to two: God and "mammon". What is mammon? "Mammon" stands for "material wealth or possessions" or whatever tends to "control our appetites and desires."
When a number of the religious leaders heard Jesus' parable they reacted with scorn (Luke 16:14). Jesus spoke to the condition of their hearts - they were lovers of money (Luke 16:14). Love of money and wealth crowd out love of God and love of neighbor. Jesus makes clear that our heart must either be possessed by God's love or our heart will be possessed by the love of something else.
The Lord alone can satisfy our desires and give us generous hearts
There is one Master alone who has the power to set us free from greed and possessiveness. That Master is the Lord Jesus Christ who died to set us free and who rose to give us new abundant life. The Lord Jesus invites us to make him the Master and Lord of our lives. He alone can satisfy the desires of our heart and transform us in his love through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our money, time, and possessions are precious resources and gifts from God. We can guard them jealously for ourselves alone or allow the love of the Lord to guide us in making good use of them for the benefit of others - especially those in need - and for the work of the Lord in advancing his kingdom. Ask the Lord to fill your heart with a spirit of generosity and joy in sharing what you have with others.
"Lord Jesus, all that I have is a gift from you. May I love you freely and generously with all that I possess. Help me to be a wise and faithful steward of the resources you put at my disposal, including the use of my time, money, and possessions."

environmental prayer and fasting
“First of all, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for all men, especially for kings and those in authority.” —1 Timothy 2:1-2
Our priority should be to pray for those in authority. This kind of prayer is good and pleasing to God (1 Tm 2:3). This kind of prayer leads to the type of society in which people will have the best opportunity to be saved and to know the truth (1 Tm 2:4). This prayer should be led by Christian men publicly and visibly. St. Paul stated: “It is my wish, then, that in every place the men shall offer prayers with blameless hands held aloft, and be free from anger and dissension” (1 Tm 2:8).
Pope St. John Paul II taught that prayer should be accompanied by fasting if it is to be used by God to change our culture of death (The Gospel of Life, 100). He maintained that prayer combined with fasting was both the first thing we should do (see 1 Tm 2:1) and the most effective (The Gospel of Life, 100).
Therefore, let us (especially men) first of all pray and fast so that we can be most effective in changing our society from a culture of death to an environment of salvation and truth, and then to a civilization of love and life.
Prayer:  Holy Spirit, help me in my weakness to pray and fast as I ought (see Rm 8:26).
Promise:  “The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: Never will I forget a thing they have done!” —Am 8:7
Praise:  “A Star shall advance from Jacob, and a Staff shall rise from Israel” (Nm 24:17). Lord Jesus, the Old Testament foretells Your messianic coming. Alleluia!
