@stuck-in-jelly and I were discussing how we could see the season 3 plot involving the boiling isles mains trying to appease the Collector with a very elaborate, immersive game of House. With lots of ‘everything is fine haha we are a happy, definitely-not-stressed family. there is no war in ba sing se’ I imagine their only comfort while they walk on eggshells and try to plan further action is that Luz, Willow, Amity, Gus, and Hunter are in the human realm away from danger. But I decided to doodle what I imagine their expressions would be like when those kiddos show up again ready to help. Saying ’ Haha no it’s okay we’re all okay. Everything is fine, we’re happy to see you!’ But with ‘WHY ARE YOU HERE’ and thinly (or not even) veiled panic in their eyes. ALSO note: I gave Raine a forearm crutch bc I don’t think the covenheads get thru the day of unity without lasting effects since they are at the center of it. Also bc I use forearm crutches and I say so lol

i have officially died.

i can't believe it's ending. it's... actually ending.

let's take a look.

king!! my guy!! you're... you have a mouth!!! and with the purple eyes oh my GOSH.

eda looks great, but very angry (like king). i think they're going to try and protect luz from the collector/his puppets while she does whatever. like in amphibia kind of, where the battle is a distraction for the real deal.

luz is still in her azura costume, and is it just me or does stringbean look like the tiktok logo?? she's holding a light glyph, which has always been very symbolic for her. not only because her name is spanish for "light", but also because she was the founder of glyph magic, the one the titan chose to learn magic from.

it's the magic of the isles and the magic of the titan, because the glyphs only work around titan blood.

luz is smiling, but it looks halfway like a sad kind of smile. like the one that says, "yes, we won this, but we also lost this".

in the background there's some kind of mural, a prehistoric-esque painting of a titan (king? or maybe his dad?) looking up in wonder, almost astonishment. he's all grown up and most likely huge.

below all of this is a sea of light bubbles, and if you look closely, they have glyphs in them (the one that's the easiest to see is next to the logo, a fire glyph). remarkably, the only one not present is the light glyph, despite being in a bubble of light. perhaps some symbolic meaning for "this can't end in light?" (oh titan please no)

i truly don't know what's coming for us this episode, but i simply cannot wait.

i may not want it to end...

but i want to see how it does.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if during the time Thorin worked as a blacksmith, he ended up marrying Bilbo for his money but Bilbo ended up agreeing to the marriage because the blue mountains is prime mushroom farming estate and the dwarrow just doesn't see the value to it? Like, they're both golddiggers who thinks the other is their sugardaddy or something and they both feel really guilty for only marrying the other for their material possession.

A slow burn fic where they slowly fall in love with one another but feels supper guilty in doing so.

Bilbo, who probably has gift-giving as his love language, keeps on buying things for Thorin and Thorin being super guilty about taking advantage of Bilbo's generosity and is now panicking that maybe Bilbo will stop supporting him financially when Bilbo finds out that he only married him for his money.

Thorin, who probably has acts-of-service or quality time as his love language, spends more time with Bilbo doing menial tasks and just is always there and Bilbo being super guilty that he's taking advantage of Thorin's "genuine feelings" to get access to those mushrooms that made all the other hobbits green with envy and is now panicking that maybe Thorin might stop his mushroom gathering privilegea once Thorin picks up on the real reason that he said yes to him.

Also dwarrow and hobbit cultural difference and miscommunication on what they value the most (dwarrow thinking that mushrooms as a courting gift is just scandalous, while hobbits thinks that giving money is akin to buying someone's affection or something)
