Their lips pressed together. Wills hands on Mike's neck, pulling him closer. Mikes arms around Wills waist. How did they get here? Will slips his tongue into Mike's mouth and they're making out. Needy, like they've been longing for this.

Mike wakes up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. What. The. Fuck. He looks down at Will, who was sitting up slowly, rubbing his eyes and yawning. Mike must have woken him up. He looks up to the ceiling and closes his eyes, trying to steady his breathing. That was one hell of a dream. Why would he have a dream like that? He was straight. Right? No way he liked Will. That would be-

"-Mike!" He looks down at Will who has probably been trying to get his attention. "Are you okay?" Mike nods. "Nightmare?" He shakes his head. Will looks at him, confused. "What happened? You looked kinda freaked out." Will gets up and sits on Mike's bed. "You wanna talk about it?" Will rests his hand on Mike's knee, probably for comfort. Mike tenses up. It feels like his stomach has a hundred butterflies flying around in it. And oh.

Oh.

He's in love with Will.

This is bad. What would Will think if he knew? He feels a tear run down his cheek and before he can wipe it away, Will does it for him, reaching up and wiping his tears away. He has to get out of here.

"I'm okay. I guess. I just- I'm sorry." He jumps off his bed and runs out of his bedroom, leaving will confused.

so as we can see here...it sucks. does it? i think it does. i thought id share cuz I'm prolly not gonna finish this shit anyway (unless...?) when do i ever

michael is my absolute favorite character in the entire show. if he has a million fans im one of them. if he has ten fans im one of them. if he has one fan it’s me. if he has no fans, i’ve been shot dead and had my soul put in a meat grinder. if the world is against mike, i am against the world.

#yes he is my special little tiepsny but he’s also one of the most interesting characters to analyze and his story predicts so many things #also he’s one of the most complex characters that never actually toes the line between good and evil #he’s so clearly good but the way he’s been framed as unlikable so the reveal in s5 of his pov hits harder is gonna be insane #he is not kind but by god is he loyal and full of love #he’s such a spiteful bitch but it really does come from a place of love #like he really does love lucas and that’s part of why he was so pissy about him trying to be popular but you see him try to be a little #understanding when he and dustin confront him about the game #obviously he was a huge dick for not actually going to the game but from his pov lucas was abandoning them for ‘balls in laundry baskets’ bc #eddie skewed his perspective about the whole thing in his rants about nonconformity #honestly the way lucas and eddie have directly contrasting roles in mike’s life is something i can’t wait to talk about in the big analysis #mike wheeler #byler

I feel like Michael would be very cuddly (not in the soft sense but the touch starved sense) too v2. I'm just imagining him like a cat in the middle of the night just haveing wrapped himself around v2.

Also, are angel feathers soft in your au?

ouuughhh touch is such a huge minefield for michael at this point due to his inability to really feel anything - his body is mostly numb, yet he DOES deeply want to be able to have physical contact since he regrets how he denied it when he had sensation. so in the early stages of their relationship, he really doesn't allow any touching outside of what v2 needs to do in order to help him and learn more about him. he's just...too uncomfortable otherwise, his mind always trying to fill in the blanks of what he would feel, what he should feel, what he could have felt if he hadn't done this to himself. but it's still increasingly obvious that he wants that contact in spite of it, and he wants this body, as it is now, to be treated with affection. and this is essentially how he goes about it lol v2 can pick up on it pretty quickly since it's not as subtle as michael hopes, and it begins telling him what it feels like (sharp and hard, though it tries to keep its metal smooth - but it's warm too, hot air spilling out around its vents and it has a greater weight to it than he might expect) v2 does this as much as it can, it gets better at its descriptions and soon, when michael holds it close to him, there's phantom sensation in its presence. and he thinks there's something special in experiencing touch in this way, shaped entirely by how v2 describes itself and how his mind interprets those words. it's an unexpected kind of intimacy, and i think it's something that further helps michael to accept the body he now has.

as for angel wings, i think of them as light made material - they're like airy, warm, barely there glass, so while not exactly soft they also aren't hard or sharp due to how vanishing they are to the touch. v2 finds them pretty interesting, and doesn't mind when michael wraps them around it for sleeping - it can shut out the light they blast in the room, and it knows mike has a very clear idea of what they feel like so it's a comfort for him.

#honestly think v2 loves describing all this stuff #bc it LOVES talking it wants to talk all the time!!!#and mike is actually a very good listener since he's pretty quiet #so i just love the idea of v2 describing how this or that feels in full paragraphs with the minutest detail #while mike listens the entire time in rapt attention #cake answers #michael #v2
