Hi i love the empress and male!concubines idea with the COD boys, I def think that it'll be interesting to see more hcs for this idea/au?

Alright my little anon. Truthfully I should have given more details in the og post (it also started as a rant about how I couldn’t handle a poly relationship because of my anxiety (I also saw a post about a girl who had 4 partners and didn’t get any attention and it made me sad so that's also way).) I have been stewing on this idea though so here’s some hc. Might do more if people are still interested in it or want more, I do love talking about my AUs (like this one and the Greek god one, so let me know if you want me to go more bc stuff like this rattles around my brain)

Also apparently there is a term for a male concubine and they’re called concubinatus or a concubinus. Honestly I took Latin and the fact I didn’t expect this lowkey brings me pain.

General HC?

The first empress in a long time. And the first empress to like her concubinuses (hope that's right) more than the idea of marrying for an emperor. So the council decided to bring you only the best warriors to keep. They of course still must serve occasionally but they have been elevated in status to there is lower risk anything will happen. Mostly kept as tacticians or kept to train the new boys joining the country’s military.

Konig and Krueger were taken as trophies of war for the Empress. They were two of the largest, smartest, and strongest men from the battlefield.

When the two were adjusting, it was difficult. The empress was gracious with them, mentioning how she wouldn’t dare make them do anything, apologizing for the war and the loss. Truthfully trying to get them comfortable, and the two were honestly shocked but I’ll get into that more in their sections.

Keegan was sent as a gift by a neighboring nation looking for peace and protection. He had a good time adjusting, sometimes making comments about how this treatment is too good for nasty military dogs like all of them but I’ll touch on that more later.

Price

Price was probably the first concubinus. He had been a strong warrior and was deemed by the council to be a good fit for what they were hoping for. He also, however, did not intend to retire from his position so they had to find an alternate reason to stop him from getting in trouble.

For him it was awkward. His empress was a bit younger than him, however he did crave to be a father. While the empress didn’t intend to fall pregnant yet, he would be on his best behavior when the opportunity came.

The chance to be the father of the next royal was something he couldn’t miss.

Soap

Both him and Gaz were best in their class, breaking records, so it only made sense it seems to send them to the empress once they got their prime years out of them.

He was probably the last concubinus to come in before the gift and the trophies of war. He has the more vicious puppy eyes. He waits for you like a dog every time you leave and enter. Always talks about how much more comfortable your bed is and how nice it is to lay with you. Definitely sweet talks you even though he’s already a concubinus.

Will literally do anything you say and it’s partially because he thinks he will get sent back to the military full time if he doesn’t.

Ghost

Definitely does checks on all the palace guards to make sure they’re up to spec. If even one slacks he uses his power to make them run.

This is all because of how gracious the empress has been with him. When he had a fit of ptsd (i'm thinking anxiety attack or something) she invited him into her room and away from the others so he didn’t feel embarrassed and comforted him as best she could before making him some tea. With an empire that stretches across Europe he was impressed she had the time to stop and care about a random concubinus.

Definitely was surprised he told you as much as he did and how you listened and comforted him. Telling him you’d never make him do anything he wasn’t comfortable with was something he appreciated.

Gaz

See the first paragraph of Soap’s bc Im not copying it again.

Since I feel like Gaz is the older of the two (he seems to have a maturity I dont see as much in Soap idk?) He was sent to her first of the two for his ‘semi-retirement’. Now they just need them to occasionally train incoming recruits.

He definitely enjoyed adjusting to the cushy life of the castle. He liked being able to keep his weapons since he did double as a personal guard for the empress. But he likes that he and the other concubinus get a hot tub more, definitely likes all the fancy clothes.

His job is the have sex with his sexy empress, what’s not to love?

Konig

Truthfully, when he was being cocky toward the other concubinus and you pulled him away into a separate room to tell him you knew he was compensating for his anxiety, he was more than shocked. He was stunned into silence.

So when you reached your hands under his hood and rubbed his cheeks, telling him it was ok and he didn’t need to act out, he melted. He had never truly been shown such softness, so to be shown it by the empress of the enemy? He was so conflicted. With a pat on his chest you told him he could take on his position fully when he was more comfortable and that you were concerned for him and there if he needed to talk. He was still quiet.

Krueger

Was not interested. No matter how many compliments you gave him or gifts you sent, he wouldn’t budge. He was grumpy and hostile. So much so he made the other concubinus nervous especially for you.

It wasn’t until you pulled him into your room that night that he relaxed quite a bit under your soft hands and apologies. Massaging his tired muscles, and lulling him into a sense of security. Now he understood how Konig folded so easily.

He offered to return the favor but you told him not until he was more comfortable and made him promise to play nice. He agreed but only to be a bit nicer.

Keegan

He honestly believes this treatment is too good for all of them. They were dogs of war, animals trained to kill, and now they’re dressed in fancy clothes? With an empress who dotes on them when they should be doting on her? Truthfully he baffles him. He isn’t ungrateful, he just didn’t expect to become a concubinus when sent here. He expected a joint military operation or to be a representative. He hit it off quickly with the group from the empire’s military.

The two from the war keep to themselves and the shorter one threatened to bite him.

Often feels the most out of place because he is the only one from his area, but he doesn’t complain. He gets nice gifts and is invited into your room pretty often, so he appreciates every moment. He wonders if it would be proper or allowed for him to get you gifts?

I was surprising more eager to write this ask than I thought. Let me know if yall want me to do formal parts to this? Maybe an actual fic for this au?

plot: la knight's wife comes to even the odds against the judgement day

a/n: there isn't enough la knight stuff on here and that makes me sad :(( wrestling last name is kingley bc i love it

It was quite chaotic backstage, making it almost impossible for Y/N to locate her husband. But she found him after a few minutes of searching. He stood with John Cena who was also his tag partner for Fastlane. Y/N didn't have a match, seeing as she was literally returning from an ankle injury that happened at SummerSlam when she lost her championship to Iyo Sky. Y/N Kingley was a crowd favorite, as was her husband LA Knight, but not many people knew they were married, or even together. They lived a very private life so it made sense.

Tonight, she was set to return to help her husband even the odds against the Judgement Day which sparked a future fued between herself and Rhea Ripley. Though LA Knight didn't know of this. "Darling, do you know where Izzy is? I can't find her." Y/N asks, grabbing his attention. Izzy was her best friend, the woman also known as Azalea Evans, the younger sister of Chris Evans and one of the best women's wrestlers. She was also engaged to Rhea Ripley. He furrowed his brows, shaking his head, "Nah, but she should be somewhere around here. Probably with Rhea."

"I think I seen her talking to Cody in catering earlier," John adds. Y/N smiled gratefully, "Thank you. I will see you two later, alright? Good luck with the match darling." She pressed a quick peck on his cheek before quickly making her way towards catering, finding Azalea indeed with Cody. Y/N took a seat at their table, "one thing I do not miss about being back is getting lost backstage all the time." Azalea chuckles at her complaint, "honestly, I'm pretty much used to it."

"You would think because I've been wrestling for 20 years that I would be used to this, but I am definitely not." Y/N mumbled, picking up a brownie from Izzy's plate. Izzy chuckled before glancing at the television where LA Knight's match with Jimmy Uso was coming up. Cody cleared his throat, "so, how do we feel about Jade signing with WWE?" Izzy and Y/N were former AEW wrestlers so they knew Jade quite well. Though they had actually never faced Jade yet. They knew how she felt with all the top tier treatment because that's how they were treated when signing with AEW having been originally WWE stars.

"I'm really excited about it actually. I'm super happy for her. I can't wait to face her." Y/N said, she was always happy for any of the wrestlers who got signed to other companies. Izzy nods in agreement, "Me too. She actually called me after she signed so I'm really excited for her. We're supposed to train together soon." Cody nods with a smile, "I feel the same way. I'm excited to see what she can do here."

"His match is starting so we should head to the gorilla." Izzy stood up, the three of them left towards the gorilla where the Judgement Day and Jey Uso were at. Izzy was quick to greet Rhea whilst Y/N was watching the monitors. LA Knight obviously wins, but then Judgement Day comes out, standing on the ring apron, leaving Knight and Cena outnumbered. Jey Uso was the first to come out, sliding in the ring though they were still very outnumbered. Cody's music hit, he was quick to come out.

Rhea jumps on the apron next to her boys, signaling that they weren't gonna back down. That's when Y/N's music hit. The crowd went crazy, obviously not expecting her to show up at all, let alone for a situation such as this. "It's Y/N Kingley! She's back! What a surprise!" Michael Cole' expressed. Y/N strutted out, Rhea's face dropped at the sight of her. Meanwhile, her husband was in disbelief, a small grin tugged at the corner of his lips. "Rhea is in disbelief! Y/N has expressed her frustration with the Judgement Days attempts to recruit her best friend Azalea Evans!" Corey Graves explains.

"That and the fact that the Judgement Day is targeting her husband LA Knight," Cole points out. "Her husband?! She's married?!" Cody Rhodes and John Cena sat on the middle rope for Y/N to step through, the Judgement Day seemingly conflicted now. She walks past her shocked husband to come face to face with Rhea, a grin on her lips. "Still wanna fight?"

The boys behind her grin as Rhea makes the guys stand down, claiming it wasn't worth it. Paul Heyman takes Solo's hand, signaling him to fall back. Unfortunately for them, Y/N wasn't a patient person. She threw the first hand, knocking Rhea off the apron, the boys are quick to join in the brawl. She grinned, leaning against the rope as Cody and Jey Uso both do separate dives out the ring, knocking down the Judgement Day and Jimmy.

Rhea drags Y/N out of the ring, going back in forth with her as Solo stepped in the ring with John. Y/N was quick to fight off Rhea, throwing her into Dom as LA Knight took care of Solo. LA hits JD with a BFT, then Jey hits him with a super kick before Cena performs a five knuckle shuffle. Y/N slides in the ring as Cena continues to perform an AA on JD. Cody whips off his belt throwing it into the crowd before hitting JD with a crossrhodes.

The boys turn to her, basically offering up JD if she wanted a go at him. She laughs, shaking her head but they insisted. "Come on! It can't hurt! Well not for you at least." Cody says. Y/N chuckled, giving in the crowd cheers. LA Knight offers his hand, she takes it, using it to jump off the rope and perform a clean moonsault onto JD. "And a perfectly done moonsault from Kingley!"

"Yeahh!" LA Knight cheered, taking her hand and pulling his wife up. "That was fun!" She cheered wistfully, high fiving Jey, Cody, and Cena as LA Knight kept a hand on her waist. The crowd cheered as Cody raised Y/N's hand proudly, "Our wonderful savior!"

LA pulled her closer so she could hear better, "You didn't tell me you were coming out." Y/N chuckled, "cause it was a surprise darling. Did it surprise you love?" He laughs lightly, nodding like it was obvious, and it was. "Surprised me so much I could kiss you right about now." He jokes, also being partially serious because he really wished he could kiss her.

She shrugged lightly, "you can kiss me, I don't mi-" she was cut off by his lips pressed against hers and very loud cheering from the fans. He didn't waste a second kissing her, not caring about the thousands of fans watching. She chuckles softly pulling away, quick to remind him that they were still in public. "Come on, let's close up." Y/N climbs the top rope, doing her normal taunt as LA Knight, Jey Uso, Cody, and Cena all followed behind her.

Shaun was quick to drag her into the locker room the second the show was over. Not even giving her a chance to talk as he showered her with kisses. "Shouldn't we go to the hotel first?" She chuckles, pulling away. "What? Scared of a little locker room sex, doll?" He teased, rubbing her sides as he held back to urge to tear her clothes off.

Y/N sucked in a breath, "fuck, you know what that name does to me." He smirked, pressing a kiss to her neck as she pushed him towards the showers. "I should save your ass more often if this is the reward I get in return."

"Yeah."

hi can I request a steve x fem reader where Steve just noticed every single detail about reader (how she skips a commercial that has sad dogs in shelters because she genuinely suffers if she sees a sad or homeless dog, how she always picks her nails when she’s anxious, stuff like that) and it’s just so special to her because literally no one else had noticed those little things.

Steve isn't the fastest to the answer or the one to put the pieces together, and he knows that. But he's gotten really good at watching and paying attention. He knows that Dustin hates tomatoes and Robin never double knots her shoelaces until he reminds her. He knows that Max likes when Lucas hooks his fingers through her belt loops but doesn't make a big deal about it. He knows that Mike always calls El when it rains. Hell, he even knows which brand of juice box Erica prefers and keeps them in his fridge.

So, it's only par for the course that Steve spends a lot of time watching and learning you. He did that before you were together, but now it's different because you're his. And he's yours. And he really doesn't think it's a big deal, that it's something worth talking about until you come over one day looking sadder than he's ever seen you.

"Hey pretty girl," he says. You don't even hesitate before going in for a hug. "Oof. You okay?"

"Hi Steve," you mumble into his shirt. "How are you?"

"I'm fine." He rubs his hands over your spine. "Tell me what's up?"

"Am I boring?" Steve's brain skids to a halt. What?

"What?" He pulls back from you, hands on your shoulders. He realizes that you don't look sad, actually. You look like you're thinking hard about something, brows scrunched and nose wrinkled. You let go of him and fill up a glass of water at the sink.

"You can be honest," you say. Your hand is clenched on the counter top. "I can take it."

"I...think I'm missing something here." Steve doesn't know where you've gotten this idea and he wants to figure it out so he can hunt them down and...wag his finger in their face, or something. "Who said that? Did someone tell you that?"

"Doesn't matter who said it, Steve," you sigh. "Is it true?" Steve moves behind you and puts a hand on your lower back, fingers splayed so his pinky sneaks under the hem of your shirt to touch your bare skin. Your whole body relaxes, just a little bit, but that's all he needs.

"C'mon," he urges. "Fill me in. You know I'm slow." That gets your attention, your head whipping over to glare at him.

"Steve. You're not slow."

"And you're not boring." You roll your eyes at him and turn so his hand rests on your stomach as you lean against the sink.

"The new girl at the store was talking about all the stuff she does for fun. She's on a roller derby team, she volunteers at the library, she lived in France for a year. And I thought about what I do and what I like and I...couldn't think of anything."

"So you decided you're boring because you haven't been to France?" Steve honestly doesn't see what's happening. "Still confused over here." You groan and move away from him and he can't bring himself to be embarrassed about the sound he makes now that he's not touching you.

"There's nothing special about me!" you cry, all of a sudden incensed. You pace, hands in your hair in agitation. "I'm just...some girl. I work at a bookstore and I don't have interesting hobbies and I'm boring." Well, that won't do. Steve lets you pace, but he's not about to let you say those things about yourself.

"When you wake up you always stretch like a cat and then crack your neck," he says. You stop in your tracks and look at him like he's speaking gibberish. "You pick at your cuticles when you're anxious and you drum your fingers in a little pattern when you have a song stuck in your head."

"Steve--" He holds his hand out and starts to count on his fingers.

"You dog-ear the pages of your books but won't annotate them because it's 'vandalism,' you tug on your seatbelt just once after buckling it, and you always squat down whenever you talk to a kid."

"Are these interesting? Steve, come on --" He plows on, moving closer to you with each thing he says.

"You always know when Robin gets too nervous and you hold her hand to give her courage. You make Max new mixtapes every month. You write Will letters." He cups your face and plants a kiss for each thing he says, forehead, cheek, cheek, nose. "You eat popcorn at the movies one kernel at a time. You always smile when you see a butterfly. You hate wearing socks to bed unless they're mine. You wrinkle your nose after you sneeze like it's your first time sneezing."

"Those are just silly things, Steve," you whisper, eyes downcast.

"No, they're you," he says, tapping your chin so you'll look at him. "Nothing about you is silly."

"I can't believe you noticed all that." You lean in to kiss him just once, a sweet, quick thank you. "No one ever has before."

"Of course I did. You're interesting. Like a science experiment or something, I swear." You laugh and he relishes the sound. "Seriously. That's what makes people interesting. All the small stuff."

"I don't know --"

"I do. Everyday I learn something new about you. And I get to do that forever. What's more interesting than that?" You close your eyes and he kisses the soft skin of your lids.

"God, Steve. How do you come up with this stuff?" He smirks, pleased.

"I practice in front of the mirror." You groan at his joke, surging forward to kiss him for real this time.

spoilers obviously

really well and truly i have the zoomies. i feel so motivated to work on some fuckinnnnnnnnnng fanfiction right now

i'm high off that last scene with taakitz right now just bc it is most recent in my heart. can you believe it. CAN I MAKE YOU DINNER??? CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???

while i'm sad that a lot of my favorite bits from this arc got cut they kept the most important one (to me) in. well we need to talk don't we...... because you boys have added quite a bit to your death count, haven't you...............

AND THEY REALLY FUCKING HAVE DIED. A LOT. WAY MORE THAN IN CANON, HUH??? eleventh hour arc more like the fuckin... eleven hundredth hour arc...ba dum tiss

anyways yeah despite me saying that thing up there ^ about them cutting stuff (they changed SO MUCH??? WOW) i actually think the way it was edited from podcast into graphic novel form is really FUCKING good, like they just keep getting better at it with every fucking book

obviously the death montage was great, like great use of space, but i also LOVED how they spliced the lunar interlude into flashbacks between loops...

and when they got the chalice??? with the memories and then meeting chalice!june??? that fucked so hard. that was really fuckin good

honestly overall i rly rly loved it. i mean /obviously/ but god it's so good huh. fuck. i do think some parts of the podcast hit harder (splicing ren's subplot into the banking thing was smart but i do prefer the magic lessons for diamonds bit... ren i was watching the whole time) but then some parts of the gn eleventh hour also really fucking own.

like the DEATHS, OBVIOUSLY, but that first one... the first loop... i rly felt it. the bank and the fire and the town collapsing!!! THEY WOULDA DIED IF IT WASN'T A TIME LOOP!!! it was for srs. i think it hits harder to see it visually?

also about taako. taako is so much nicer in the books its kinda funny. sincerely telling a victim of a fire that they were going to be okay... in podcast that would be the time for Taako Lies... asking magnus and merle if they're alright....

i think i prefer podcast taako bc i like him Mean With Brief Snatches of Good Underneath. LOL. in the gn he's so sincere. who is this boy. i get what they're goin for but wow

thoughts on disventure camp e4:

tom and jake

seeing people complain about tom being a hypocrite for snarking at jake here and i agree that it is hypocritical. but i don't think it's bad writing (i honestly really like it?)

like. tom and jake are messy. they have no communication. they overreact to everything. that's like their whole thing.

idk why tom ghosted after the first season, or while he's continuing to be distant (and now, more openly hostile). this is because the show hasn't told us yet. i assume, given that it's only episode 4 and this plot is getting a lot of attention, that there will eventually be some explanation. it doesn't really feel out of character to me at this point, just that we're missing information.

also specifically the reason i like this interaction is because it makes it very clear that tom is also being shitty here! like imo that was clear from the very start with the ghosting and dodging confrontation stuff, but more recently the focus has been on jake's jealousy. and while i do think jake is being unreasonable as well, tom is not innocent. as before, they are messy!!

villians' alliance and elimination

first off: i so called miriam being out this episode. didn't know the exact context, but in order for the alec helping fiore plot to work long term she needed to be out of the picture.

i like that she played well here though. like she did exactly what she should have done in the situation and it just didn't work out. sad to see her go, but not surprised.

poor connor tho :( my man's all alone now. i'm hoping that with grett turning on yul (you go girl) that maybe he'll last a bit longer

also yet again reminded why i love alec as a player and a villain. he's so good at planning and thinking things through, and he's not just thinking in terms of his own best interest. man plays this game like chess.

like. the rest of yellow team would have happily let ellie or fiore lose and get booted despite the alliance. alec's main goal was to get rid of miriam, but at the same time he was proving to ellie (and less so fiore) that he was also looking out for them.

i also like that it's not working out as cleanly as he'd like. miriam exposing him may not have been a problem here, but it will be later. in s1 he was able to largely fly under the radar for a while, and now is having to change tactics.

other thoughts

aiden and tess made me smile :) i want them to be friends

like ally's apology and hunter's non-apology (and fiore's wtf response). i think ally's really sweet and i get why fiore doesn't buy it but i'm glad someone on this team was like "maybe bullying a child is wrong"

ashley's backstory :(

predictions for next episode

elimination is harder to predict because the teams are even again. i'm thinking yellow team again makes the most sense, given the inevitable fallout of the villain reveal and the vote for yul. my guess would be connor vs. yul (vs. alec?) and of those three i see yul as most likely.

(could also be connor but the letter from miriam might save him somehow; i'm mainly doubting that they'd take him out of the competition here bc that'd be pretty unsatisfying for the connoriya drama. kind of leaning this actually bc yul being betrayed but not eliminated could also be juicy.)

if it's not yellow team... i could see gabby on cyan, mostly through process of elimination. tom and aiden need to stick around for the drama with jake, ellie's got the villain thing, and tess hasn't really gotten to do much other than be stuck in the middle of things.

gabby also hasn't really gotten to do anything besides support ellie, but i wouldn't be surprised to see her go early- like with james and lake, it feels like her character so far this season has been more in support of another character, and the impact her elimination would have on ellie feels like the most likely plot direction for this team to take.

that said idk why anyone would vote gabby out at this point. but i digress.

i really doubt it'll be magenta. fiore and jake have their own plots happening that i doubt will be wrapped up next episode, hunter and ally's relationship feels like it needs slightly more focus and deterioration before either of them goes home, and ashley just doesn't really seem likely?

aside from elimination

jake's gonna be sad about miriam. i think tom might be too, but unclear how exactly he'll react. will definitely make their whole thing worse, because for some reason they decided miriam should hold the brain cell of their relationship.

yellow team is definitely gonna have drama: fallout from miriam telling everyone alec was untrustworthy, the whole situation with grett and yul's relationship, connor being the only outsider to the alliance.

not sure what else- hunter and ally might have some plot progression, but i think those top two bullets will be the main points.

also whatever advantage connor got will definitely come up- seen speculation that it's like the "make people switch teams" card riya got in s2 but idk how that would play out

thinking real hard about that new content in Painful bc i really love it-- while Painful did work well without more blatant explanations on Marty, Lisa, or Brad's past, it also meant there was some stuff I just never learned if i didnt play First at least (and my second play through of Painful brought even MORE clarity to me), and well honestly I just enjoy the deeper explorations of these characters. I already rambled about this content in a 2am post messily but now I am thinking hard about the cycle of abuse- specific to Brad and the general theme of new content in general being about how deeply rooted abuse is, improvement of yourself, letting go of guilt & anger and the importance of love.

in order to better break down the new content and how it adds things to the story i transcribed the new content-- queen's campfire dialog, mad dog's campfire dialog, and two large pieces of dialog from the nightmare scene. parallels! parallels everywhere! I uploaded it as a text file if you want to read it all yourself :)

also this means this post will be long as fuck. there are so many cool things to connect here.

This new content in Painful does a lot to express the years of shit Brad went through that further fed his issues. And while most of this ends up focusing on Marty (which I do thinks its important to not just throw Lisa on screen, her purpose is still as being 'off screen' for effect) it greatly helps Brad's character and the flashback to Lisa and him playing together or their convo before Brad runs away- fantastic addition alongside Buddy's later instance of putting makeup on Brad (made me extra sad)- and it 'humanizes' Lisa more. She existed- she was a sister with a brother and they hung out and had fun and they talked. etc. They existed in the same house and they endured horrible things.

I feel like this new content kind of hammered in the family like... the affect of abusive families. And what Brad has been missing from a normal upbringing, what he's lost after all this time because of abuse, and what he is desperately trying to get out of Buddy. At the end of the fight with flesh-mound Marty (we will be talking about this A LOT), this part especially feels like it reflects Brad's inability to not see Buddy as the redemption he needs, what he feels is the only thing to save him:

But if you stop. …if you do this. It's over. Dead. You know what happens. We can't let her out. She… She's gonna hurt us so bad.

Which also, I think parallels to Lisa too-- honestly. so much of what alludes to Lisa works well for Buddy and vise versa, for obvious reasons.

But the nightmare really just... you really get the feeling for how fucking exhausting it is. Brad is so tired and he's trying so hard. But the thought that says he will be like his father feels deep rooted- its his blood, Marty lives inside him, he can't fight it hard enough.

this next section of the flesh-mound boss fight ending has a clear conflict in his own thoughts. He recognizes it's all so tiring and it needs to be let go. But then it turns into anger at himself. And more likely recalling the tough words of wisdom his father gave him (or his grandpa too)

I know you're tired. All this anger. These memories. So many scars. So many mistakes. It all stings… So let it all go. You don't deserve it. The guilt is gonna kill you. Why can't you just let go? Be a man. When they hand you their heart. You don't bare yours. You eat it. Consume everything. Puke it up. Then eat it again. Eat like a dog. You know it only takes one taste. You know better than me. It's so fucking easy. And if you never stop… It feels so good.

Fun fact! The "When they hand you their heart. You don't bare yours. You eat it. Consume everything." gets referenced slightly in the new Joyful content, where Brad's friends are trying to recall some words of wisdom which they only recall as "Sometimes you need to just... Eat your heart out. Or something." Which implies Brad likely told them this line to some extent.

Oof. Probably my favorite excerpt from the boss dialog. Consume Everything. Puke it up, eat it again.... You know it only takes one taste. You know better than me... Marty's own behavior comes out here as he encouraged Brad similarly in other scenes. He's the one that's is in fact forcing Brad to get a "taste" of this. (Look back at the 'father' epilogue in Joyful). But he also makes Brad think that this is always all on him- by giving him the responsibility of "this is how men should be", it takes blame off of Marty and puts it on Brad for not "being a man" and thus, repeating these behaviors in a way that is often told to him as justified and as the right way to act.

He is constantly guilted and programed to this behavior in an extreme way by Marty taunting him, belittling and validating his own abusive behavior.

Let me cut over to Mad Dog's campfire scene. Yep! I promise its related (to me).

[cut to here. He is referring to what (seems to be) something his father said.] When I'm ready to die. We fight. You have to beat me. Then you will eat me. A dog in a dog in a dog in a dog. Hellacious. Miserable cycle. Never stop. Make. Us. More. Madness is a small cost. For power greater than love. […] Strength is our family. [Scene pans down the cliffs showing more and more skulls of humans and dogs hiden under ground. the next text appears on screen]: I love you… But I really have to go. [At the bottom of the cliffs, a spider much like the Marty-spiders appears, but with Brad's face instead.]

While this is something Mad Dog is saying as if its something his own father said to him, it seems pretty clear you can see the parallel to Brad. Honestly its way too accurate to ignore lol. the first line is strangely similar to things Marty says in the nightmare fight, and the "Dog in a dog" clearly feels very similar to the "eat like a dog" in that earlier quote i gave. Whats even more weird is the scene is pans through.

(Again not taking away from Mad Dog's own story, just explaining the parallel). The skulls that become more and more in the dirt feel like a metaphor for all the years of abuse, and the cycle of it. Now the Brad-spider? That surprised me.

Taking-

I love you… But I really have to go.

Feels like something related to Buddy. And I think this as well because of the spider at the end. Marty-spiders always felt like they were supposed to show how his effect is always there and you might now know where. His abuse still exists even in the smallest form. For a Brad one to be shown like that- I would read into it as how Brad is still going after Buddy, while his behavior is in fact abusive.

The hardest of it all is the imagery and the use of plural dialog too is that we really get to see how Brad feels like Marty is and always will be a part of him and that's what makes it so hard to change. And considering the above I mentioned, it makes sense.

We can't handle that, Brad. It's too painful. I'm not ready. We'll never be ready! Don't fight blood! Please! I'm fucking scared!

The desperation towards the end fits the idea of letting go of Lisa in the regard that the grief for her is also ruining Brad alongside his need to have Buddy as a way to atone for his behavior towards Dustin in the past, and try to not be like his father. And getting rid of that source is terrifying because it means a lot of scary things to him. The "us" and "we" keeps forcing that feeling that Marty is part of him, and that it really wants Brad to keep holding on because thats who he is. It is what he has been for so so long and he is terrified of letting go of grief because its what remains of Lisa in his head. And that letting go of Buddy would mean he is losing that opportunity to be the father he needs to be in order to prove he isnt like his father. These two reasons to not let go aren't good! They are not ways he should be living and he HAS to let that go.

But hey, thats not all. Let's get through the sad as fuck analysis okay? It'll get better.

As you descend a long rope as child!Brad you start to read a poem of sorts that I can only assume comes from Lisa. This excerpt also pops up in Joyful...

No friends. No brothers. No fathers. No mothers. Just me.

This gets repeated three times. Its weird but it always made me feel uneasy, and I think that is because it kind of focuses on how Lisa ends up being the core. When you apply this to Brad alone, it connects in the way that Lisa is the center of his grief and how that cancels out so much else in his life. Though i want to point out real quick-- it applies to Buddy in an interesting way that fufills their comparisons with the statues you destroy in Joyful. Very cool. And for Lisa it applies very blatantly. (No friends (Berny), No brothers (Brad), No fathers (Marty), No mothers (her own absent mom))

there is a LOT to this poem and you should look at that text post I linked to read it all. So I am just bringing up a one other part.

Deep below. A dark endless sea. A pain slumbers. One we'll never flee. Give me the strength. Let your memories set us free. So that when next we meet. I may grow into a mighty tree. [...] I know this wasn't easy. Thank you. …And Bradley, Good luck.

Oh yes, a step back to the boss dialog here, it's relevant:

I know you're tired. All this anger. These memories. So many scars. So many mistakes. It all stings… So let it all go. You don't deserve it.

This perfectly reflect points I have made up to this point regarding the way Brad holds onto his grief and even the earliest lines of the boss is trying to show him that. It's interesting that as the very start he's being so forgiving to himself then is devolves into more anger-- but here, once Brad has regressed, Lisa is the one to remind him this. I think its important to recognize how Its not about getting rid of Lisa's memory at all and this poem being spoken from Lisa (assumed) fits that. It isn't easy to recognize or to do this, it takes a whole different kind of strength.

In that text file i transcribed the end conversation between Brad & Lise where Brad says he is going to run away, but I won't be referencing it here... Do read it/watch it though.

If you read this far, good job! Just one more depressing thing though! The actual last thing said in the nightmare is great actually- for story telling. Because of course if this whole dream was trying to show that Brad has let go... well, it would kind of mess up the ending still carrying out with Brad still seeming unchanged.

Bradley, my boy. It's just not that easy. You can't save her. You can't even save yourself. After all… I'm in your veins..

Yes, thats it- thats the last part in the dream, where Brad sees a small flesh-mound Marty in blood. It doesn't ruin the fact Brad had this long ass dream. Its a great look into his mind. And how it entirely loops back. He really just... he really is stuck. You can see how damn hard he tries. But this theme of it being "in your blood" is SO fucking strong and it hurts. Because I think we all know, its not true. You are not fated to become the abuser. But god you can see how hard it truly is to fight what has been beaten into you for so long.

Right.

So looking at the parts where forgiveness are present... This pops up a bit in the new content- from this, too another campfire scene. I think the forgiveness and love sprinkled in is important to notice. A lot of people in Olathe in general are alone and without family. Brad has already been... alone, however. His family situation left him without affection, and an upbringing that left no proper parent to attach to meant he'd already not receive the affection he needed in order to give that to others properly. He had no one, and when he did finally have someone- Dustin- he still never received the love he didn't know he needed because of what was taught to him. And he did it again to Buddy.

This is obvious when you get to the end of the game. When Brad wants buddy to hold him.

And, Queen's dialog with Brad pulls a lot more of that conversation to the surface.

Being held by someone you love is the best feeling in the entire universe. […] These men out here. All this strength. This power. Your respect… you can't take it with you when you die. It wont save you. It doesn't matter how powerful you are. No ideas matter. No experience matters. None of that shit that's consumed you your whole life matters. You're completely naked in the face of death. Its terrifying. Now, a good hug. That matters. Honestly, it ain't gonna change much… dead is dead. But the way i see it. You can die afraid. Lost in your own mind. Haunted by the guilt of all your mistakes. Tormenting nightmares wondering what comes next. Or… you can be in the moment with someone you love. Someone that makes you feel like nothing else matters. Nothing could be more important than feeling each other's warmth and love. No thinking. Just feeling.

Brad's earlier chat included him bringing up how he didnt let Dustin or Buddy get physical affectionate too- theres some earlier chitchat that you may want to see in a video. But honestly the realization of how little affection Brad has received, due to Marty's influence, makes things even more depressing when you see how hard it is to let go.

Everything, everything is tied together. He can't let go. So he cant end the abuse. So he fails to ever change. So he never receives the love he truly wants and needs. By the end of the game, when you have that option to hold him, that new dialog hits even worse. And I don't think it is even to try and sway people into hugging Brad. if anything it kind of just opened up to me why Buddy shouldnt need to hold him. And how it is honestly something so much deeper. His struggle has infected everything he wants in life that he just keeps failing to have.

It depresses him, it discourages him. I can't even find more words to explain how heavy the weight is on someone like Brad after years and years of horrible abuse and never getting the help he so much needed.

(College au stuff bc I miss them so much it hurts)

Kerry didn’t know why he was pouting. He knew this day wasn’t memorable to Johnny like it was him. He knew that this was another Tuesday for Johnny. And yet today is the day that Kerry’s life changed forever.

The bell on the shop door jingled and surprisingly enough, a fairly sober Henry walked in with his hands in his pockets. Kerry sat up a bit but his expression didn’t change. No point in hiding from Henry.

“Hey man, you look like someone ran over your dog.”

“Thanks. The fuck do you want?” Kerry didn’t mean to bite or be bitchy, but he was so done with today and was ready to go and crash on Nancy’s couch for the night.

“Flowers.”

“Fucking really? You came to a florist for flowers?” Kerry asked, sarcasm dripping in his voice as he leaned against the counter. “Somethin’ for Denny? What’d you do this time?”

“For Johnny actually. Got some girl he’s trying to impress.”

Oh.

Was he being fucking serious? Was this a fucking joke?

“Then why are you here? He couldn’t even come in himself?”

“He’s working a double tonight, Mike’s out with the flu and they are down a bartender.” Kerry noticed then that Henry had not made eye contact with him once. Making a point of avoiding him. He shrugged it off though, Henry was a weird guy.

“What kind of flowers is he looking for?”

“He said he knew they wouldn’t have the kind he wanted, so white roses, hyacinths, violets, and lilies.”

Kerry paused, turning to look back at Henry who was looking at the ceiling.

“‘Don’t have what he wants’ who the fuck does he even think he is? Why are those so oddly specific, this a girl he actually wants to apologize too- Are these for Rogue?”

“Something like that.” Henry said from the counter.

“Something like that?” Kerry asked, assembling the bouquet. He wondered what he had to do to get this kind of treatment from Johnny.

“Y’know, it’s none of my fucking business. He can do what he wants.” Kerry huffed, shaking his head. He didn’t care. Why would he?

“Have a great day, Henry.” Kerry muttered, walking to the back to stare at the clock until closing time finally came.

He had to run home first. He needed his guitar and some clothes for Nancy’s since the ones he had at her place needed to be washed. Johnny wouldn’t be home since he was covering for Mike that night. Maybe he was trying to avoid Kerry.

He set his keys on the counter when he noticed something on their coffee table. He raised a brow and stopped on his way to the bedroom.

It was the fucking flowers he assembled earlier. The more he thought, the more he realized the odd things about that situation. Henry had refused to really have a conversation with him, or even look at Kerry. No jokes, no nothing because Henry was awful at lying to him. The cash he paid with was tips Johnny had been collecting.

The flowers were apology flowers. Kerry remembered now from the amount of boyfriends he had met that fucked up and came in to get their girlfriends something. They weren’t all there, but damn was Kerry honestly a bit impressed Johnny remembered such a trivial thing about his job.

Then he remembered another thing. Johnny had come in one day while Kerry had been assembling a ‘please don’t break up with me’ bouquet for some guy that would not shut up. The flowers weren’t exactly the same but Johnny had remembered a few.

Kerry dropped his jacket and sat on the couch, now officially feeling like an ass. All day he had been in a bitchy mood because he thought Johnny had forgotten.

He took the note off the flowers and huffed, and in Johnny’s handwriting it read:

‘We met 17 years ago today. Yes I remembered.

P.S. Get fucking Sampaguita.’

Kerry stared down at the note, tapping his finger on the side of it. He felt a small smile on his face, because this is probably the nicest thing anyone had done for him. His bar was so low it was kind of sad if he was honest with himself.

“Fuckin’ hell.” Kerry rubbed his face, taking the flowers to get them settled where they’d be safe. Henry probably hadn’t anticipated Kerry working that day and that’s why he wasn’t looking at him. Even though he was the one to assemble them, seeing them now was like seeing the most beautiful flowers ever.

Johnny got home around 2:30 am, muttering to himself as he traveled through the dark apartment. Today had been hell and he fucking hated when Mike called out. Not that Aaron and Blake were useless, they were decent at their jobs but Mike being there really helped everyone out considering he was one of the few that actually understood Johnny’s instructions.

He rubbed his eyes and trudged into the bathroom when he heard the faint sound of Kerry playing guitar. He wasn’t necessarily shocked that Kerry was awake, but also what the fuck go to sleep.

He peaked into the bedroom to find Kerry on the floor, smoking and playing with only his laptop illuminating him. Even in such ass lighting, Kerry still found a way to be the prettiest person Johnny had ever seen.

He leaned against the door and waited to be noticed. And when his companion opened his eyes, their eyes immediately locked.

“Heard you were in a bitchy mood today.”

“Fuck you.” Kerry put the joint in an ashtray to talk.

“Didn’t know you worked today.” He really hadn’t, he thought Kerry had classes today. Guess not.

“Yeah it was cute having to assemble my own flowers thinking it was for one of your girlfriends.” Kerry rested his arm over his guitar and gave Johnny a pointed glare.

The two stared for what felt like eternity before Johnny moved first. He figured playing the ‘I forgot’ game wouldn’t be found cute by Kerry. But honestly, how could he ever forget their day like that. It was the only date he really remembered. It was his fucking phone password.

“You wanna shower with me or am I gonna have to shower alone?” Johnny asked, making Kerry sigh.

“Fine. But you’re still a fucking dick.”

Idia with a sentimental s/o who almost cries when thinking about their favorite music or childhood movies and games bc they can’t listen or watch or play them anymore since they’re in twisted wonderland?

Sentiments? Boo. He doesn't need to add more gloom to his life. It's like adding more salt to the sea.

But he can understand your situation, he'd have something he'd miss to do with people he cared about. He feels sympathy towards your situation, but he sure he won't be of any help. He could barely help himself, so why even bother?

"Brother, come on," Ortho sighed, skimming through the assortment of comics and cartridges from Idia's cabinet. "Don't wanna," the older Shroud groaned.

"But they're sad!" Ortho protested, "So am I, but you don't see me complaining," Idia quipped.

"That's not the point."

"Then what?"

"You need to cheer them up! They look homesick," Ortho handed his brother a stack of old movies. "No TWSTopoly?" Idia asked.

"They're horrible at TWSTopoly."

"TWSTcraft?"

"Even worse."

"TWSTemble Stars?"

"Horrendous."

Then what could he do? Clearly, you know nothing about any of his likes, with you being from another world and all. He bet you can't even name Hercules' main character.

"You know, brother, instead of sitting there thinking, you can always ask them," Ortho sighed, ushering his brother out of their shared room.

"Wh-what? Wait! Ortho, don't lock me out again!" the Ignihyde housewarden banged at the room's metal doors.

"Good luck!" was his brother's chippy response.

And so, here we see a wild Idia Shroud out of his natural habitat, and into the jungles full of normies and unwanted extroverts. It's a cesspool.

It didn't take long for him to jog to your dorm. Despite him skipping out on most, if not all, of his P.E. activities, it's undeniable that Idia has a rather muscular physique. Though, he was panting when he reached the now well-kept and polished porch.

"Idia?" he heard a sniffle, then the creak of the dorm's doors swinging open. "U-uh, hey...?" he picked himself up.

"You should come in," you offered, "Yeah, I really should..."

"I got some...got some stuff for y-you..." he placed the stack of CDs on the coffee table. You looked intrigued, delicately flipping from movie to movie.

A tin-shaped, olive robot donning a heroic stance in front of an explosion was the movie's poster. "It's one of my faves," he shared.

"Honestly, the main guy was a bit icky to me at the start. What made ne hooked were the cool villains, and then the sequel came out," he rambled on, "It was a big improvement for the dude, and then they gave him lasers, a plasma sword and then jetpacks and of course more explosions—"

"It reminds me a lot of back home. Actually, I'd stop by some stores on my way back from school," you reminisced, sinking into the cushiony warmth of the sofa, beside Idia.

"I've never been a fan of action movies, but my brothers and my mom would always get excited about it. So, it kind of became routine to me, school, store, then home— until I got hooked to it myself," you chuckled, tears welling up.

He knows that feeling of longing, it took him a lot of time to move on himself; and he still couldn't say that he's fully recovered. "Do you want to watch it?" he asked.

"Why not?"

For the next few hours, you were munching on a bag of chips and enjoying the old film's explosions and action scenes, simultaneously gagging at the cheesy romance bits that came with it.

HI AGAIN!!! ok so admittedly delayed my watch for dis.venture but im at ep 5 now and honestly im so?!?! holy shit? the writing is so mature and realistic, like usually i dont feel bad if the eliminated character leaves but i actually got so... hurt?!!? even if i knew theyre gonna be voted off but the emotional impact they gave me made me actually hurt for them like omg? like i did not think i would actually feel so bad for grett after that phone call. everyones not a jerk... theyre all so human..... theres still so many good details i didnt mention but im sure we can agree its so good

i guess its the perfect time to say how LOW my jaw dropped when fiore did that whole 180 snap in personality - she showed her true colors AND IM HERE FOR IT. SHES SUCH A VILLAIN BUT I SUPPORT HER GIRL WRONGS AHSKAFSAFSA AT LEAST FOR NOW. i was actually so sad learning that drew got out quickly (i liked the way they written his mute trait :< it reminded me of red wwiwiwi) i like him now but i will miss him fr....

YEAH DISVEN.TURE CA.MP does such a GOOD JOB in writing realistic emotions and situations into their characters compared to tot.al dra.ma. It keeps going forward and gets more divided whenever it shows a situation that’s supposed to “pick a side” but it really isn’t for that case. YOULL UNDERSTAND ONCE YOULL CONTINUE BC THERES SO MUCH DRAMA IN THE LATER EPISODES.

THEY NAILED THE SUSPENSE ON THE ELIMINATIONS EVEN THO SOME OF THEM ARE PREDICTABLE? I was really sad when drew got eliminated too because of how well they portrayed a mute character— (I didn’t know red is also mute,, that’s so cool…) also what I like about the series with their representation as well 😭 I’m relieved you feel bad for Grett even tho she can be mean but she’s literally playing the game so I can’t BLAME HER as much (same goes to Fiore). For me, Grett’s development through the series is by far one of my favorites as it progresses (and one of my favorite characters) .

IM GIGGLING OVER OVER THE REACTION ON FIORE’S TRUE COLORS. She’s veryyyy messed up (I COULD NOT GET OVER HER BURNING ASHLEYS AND NICKS STUFF JUST TO FRAME LILL THAYS FUCKED) but also plays the game very smartly. She’s such a freaking gremlin I love her so much 💔

THE BUILD UP ON TOM AND JAKE IS SOO SWEET TO WATCH I LOVE HOW NATURAL THEIR LOVE STORY AS IT PROGRESSES IM glad you like those goobies ahaha 🫶🏽 IM HAPPY YOURE STILL ROOTING FOR DAN AHAHAH he’s just a special “just a guy” dude and I love how he plays the game fairly and use logistics 😭💕

Surprisingly these two were very awkward when they first met

Seungmin thought Byeol had a certain aura to her that intimidated him so he felt a little uncomfortable

jeongin also returns the favor by doing things like pulling her away from crowds whenever she gets too far

she’s very much someone he looks up to bc he knows how difficult it is to be in this type of group

he has the mindset of “if its this hard for me, it must be harder on byeol” so he does his best to help byeol even if its the tiniest bit

urgh so I am having A WEEK :( I hope it’s okay I rant a bit … alslkskdj

helurf okay so after midterms last week, I’ve been trying to like relax and give myself time to rest but IVE HAD SO MANY ASSIGNMENTS :((( and I’m so tired and burnt out and stressed cause I need to start studying for finals and ahhhhhh alsksjjdjf :(

okay now for some more fun updates!! i had fun at uni yesterday!! we had a super fun soil science lab we got to go into soil pits on the farm our campus has and analyze soil (ph, diagnostic horizons, colour, structure, texture etc) !! It was a lot of fun I’m gonna miss the class and my prof :( (it was my last lab)

another fun thing is its art market week at my uni so time to drop a ton of money on prints, stickers and crocheted animals !!! :D

AND okay so I made it into a special like abroad research kinda program/course in like that’s usually only available to upper years students but somehow I made it in alskkskdjdj . Anyways, we get to go to South Africa from like May 14-June 9 to do research and stuff in the field!!! and like IM SO EXCITED??? So anyways, the 19 students that also made it in (it’s a highly competitive program to get into) we had our second group meet up plus our prof (who taught my favourite class by far last term) yesterday and it was a lot of fun and we got free dinner which was super super yum and I can’t believe I’m actually going ahhhhh

and then I went to a friends house for dinner (yes, dinner again) which was fun we like catch up at least once a month and yeah

AHHHH UR UNI LAB SOUNDED SO FUN I love labs where you just get to go outside and do stuff in nature it’s fr so healing 👼 I took a geology course in college where we got to go to this creek near my school and like test the ph balance of the water and it was so much fun being outside instead of cooped up in the lecture hall fr one of the best labs we ever did. AND the art market this week???? RAHHH HAVE SO MUCH FUN we used to have something similar at my uni and I would drop SO much on stickers not even joking my laptop is covered in them still :’)

My day was honestly vvvvv boring but it was productive! I had work and then I had a shit ton of laundry to do but I was tired as fuck and I have cramps bc my period started today so I got coffee first to wake me up and then after cleaning the apartment I caught up on Ateez vlogs and now I’m simultaneously writing and watching Zelda gameplay 👼 I think my emotions are like ten times worse rn because of my period so I’m just taking it easy but I have a huge party to go to this weekend and a lot of my friends are gonna be there so I need to get my shit together and stop being sad bc I don’t want to bring the mood down ☹️ why do I always have a party in the same week I feel like shit LOL the last time I had one my situationship and I got into a huge fight and my sister had to be checking on me like every 5 minutes bc I was borderline crying the whole night it was so embarrassing 😭 (I am so tired of crying over this same girl oh my god)

Bro i just saw your post talking about how people mischaracterize Chris Redfield and I NEED to know what that’s about if you got the time bc I wanna do him justice also disability? First time I’ve heard of this I’m so not in Chris circles apparently :’

OKAY SO - Where the hell do I even begin with this?

A lot of the hate/mischaracterization he gets come out of the decisions CAPCOM made for him with RE6, vendetta, and RE8 (at least from what I’ve seen) and I honestly believe it’s because they were trying to show him as a flawed man in those cases who is still good, but some people take it too far.

So let’s start with the beginning RE6. (Under the cut because I talk so much)

I have already made a whole long post about his type of amnesia which you can see here ( X ). I literally go in depth into and the story stuff, so have fun with that lol. But the main point I’ll say, along with what I mentioned about the misogyny is that if CAPCOM wanted to show the players a way that Chris is unwell (PTSD amnesia, inebriated, etc.) , that was one of their moves in doing so, because based off of his behavior with literally every other woman (including Jessica in revelations) has been nothing but kindness/professional. I also think a lot of the people just generally get mad at him because of how the gameplay is too, along with CAPCOM putting him and Leon against each other with the whole Ada thing, RE6 is just a big mess - one of my least favs for that reason and why I do not write any fics related to it lol

Alright vendetta time. Sad boy Leon getting yelled at by Chris in the movie. Something I don’t think they should have done with that (especially since he’s a lot more considerate of what happened to Leon in the novelization I’ve heard), but also, considering that Leon is in the same position chris was in RE6 with the loss of his entire team (which for the most part, happened to Chris in STARS and RE6) - Chris is giving him the same “tough love” treatment Piers did for him. Is it right? Nope, but is that what’s happening? Yup. They’re on a time sensitive case and the only person they can get some answers out of is not cooperating, tensions are undoubtedly high. They come together in the end though to kick ass, soooo yeah, good stuff.

And now RE8. I’m not gonna lie, I was upset too about how that all turned out, but a lot of the sentiment for that version of him is that he’s the bad guy. He isn’t, he’s just a man who’s trying to make a decision to not make the same mistake twice, yet his silence in the end still causes him to lose someone he didn’t want to, making mistakes that he owns up to in the game that can easily be missed over the sound of bullets and lycan shrieks.

Chris from his core has always been about helping others and about protecting them. Which is why I always find it so odd that Leon people don’t like him, because Leon wants the same thing from what I’ve witnessed. Both of them have lost their parents, both of them became cops to help people, both of them were throw into the horrors, both of them had to pick up the mantle of heroism because they didn’t want others to suffer, both of them have lost countless of people and have had to make decisions that upset those they care about. They both have their skeletons in the closet - those of which are similar. It just all happens at different times in their lives, which culminates into how they interact with each other and how they attempt to help the other.

Another thing I’ll link here too is when someone just outright called Chris a right wing republican in their “headcanon” and I may have gotten a little frustrated (this was peak be mean to Chris time and I was tired y’all.) so here it is ( X ) another very long post lol.

• I decided to do a bit of the writing tag game on my other account and it is WILD to see just how much i wrote the past few months??? im kinda proud tbh. I may be a little discouraged from posting these days but it's honestly really nice to see myself posting as much as I do - and esp to see how much ive written during all this time. this is aside from all the logs i do bc thatd just add further to my word count, but hdhfjdjd really despite the horrors, i'll always have writing. or well, writing's just been such a huge part of my life that if i cannot write then I'm not myself anymore. njdjrjd and my friend nick has mentioned this too that i dont seem like myself if i dont have a wip and all that jfjdndd

• i hate to say the rafayel birthday event made me embarrassingly happy but it really did 🙈

• speedwriting a fic. much shorter than something i wrote earlier but like !! idk i havent felt that surge of inspiration that was fun lmao wish that happened more often

• getting another message from a job i applied to that might be interested in hiring me. the positive is this ones a little more interesting than the one i did a recent interview with but same general position. still very 👀

• my friend finished london holiday and might start second key real soon and im so fucking sorry to him about the person i'l turn into when he starts liveblogging at me about it BUT ALSO im actually really happy and excited about it .3.

• OH FOUND OUT THAT MY SISTER WILL BE HOME EVEN FOR THE LITTLE BIT WHEN I GET BACK!! i thought i'd miss n entirely when she's back which made me sad but she'll be there for at least a day when she's back so !! i will beat my jet lag to hang out with her if i have to >:(

• n sending me something that reminded them of me was really sweet 🥹 it made me very happy tbh jfnfnddjj i was kinda shocked

•also saw new artist drawing characters from anti entropy that genuinely made me very happy 🥹🥹

• ngl thinking about tomorrow after the exam has me excited. i still have one more exam to go, but for once, i feel excited by the idea of saying goodbye. i dont really care anymore how i do for either exams, but it's one more step out of this life and one more step into the new one. i think thats exciting and im excited for it. i wish i could say the same about doing the practical exam but that one i just know ill go home dreading so ✌🏼 but tomorrow! lets have fun after the exam and visit the bakery ive been wanting to go to and finally get that silly plush ive been eyeing 🤧 let's give this life a nice farewell and send off before i go

I was half expecting all of the What are we Part 2 to be angsty but I'm glad half of the maknae line ended okay 😮‍💨

I was emotionally prepared to be sad BUT INSTEAD you got me so riled up!!!! I was literally pacing around after reading Felix's and I was ready to punch somebody after Seungmin's! I wasn't even sad, I was just so pissed off???? Felix's was so frustrating and I would physically fight the guy if what happened with Seungmin happened to me! Like, 2 MONTHS and he can't get himself together enough to at least have an answer! He showed up with the same "I don't like labels" bs and doesn't want to talk about complicated things! THAT'S THE WORST!!! When it comes to important things in life, indecisive people really make me mad as hell, so I'm glad at least Y/n in Felix's and Seungmin's made the difficult (but ultimately necessary) call to end things since neither guy could figure it out smh

I gotta figure out something to calm me down now 😤 I can't be this mad while I'm doing laundry at like 2am (luckily, I don't have work tomorrow at least)

[Glad you're off until Thursday so hopefully that's enough time to rest and recover! I also did a similar amount of stuff in high school and college and also totally don't get how I made it through alive back then thinking that it was normal to do so much 😭 Teens have so much life energy in them I guess?]

I apologize in advance for the rambling I’m about to do.

I could have made them all angst, but decided last minute. And then I almost released them as angst like and fluff line but I also changed it last minute. Also, I think I put Innie through enough with Distancing pt 2 and Ji I felt deserved a happy ending after all that. But hyung line is also going go be half angst half fluff again and at least one of the angst is going to be heavy (at least I hope).

I honestly have no idea what happened with Felix and Min’s. I started off with Min’s with the full intention of making it sad but I got heated myself and wrote over 1,000 words bc how dare he? Especially with the whole “my girlfriend” comment. I feel like Min wouldn’t be the first to apologize even if he is wrong and I blame that video of when the boys (mainly Innie) pranked him into thinking he lost a company card. Like he was dead set on staying mad if Felix didn’t go and bug him. And Lix? Like, I think he is a person who would be the first to apologize in any situation, even if it wasn’t his fault but since I see him as someone who also will bottle everything up, I felt like he would just over think a romantic relationship to the point where it feels safer to not jinx it by labeling it, idk. But also, they’re young and I guess dumb (they’re literally only a year younger than me) so I feel like its also on brand that they not too in tune with their feelings yet. I imagine that they’re moping around bc they miss bff reader. But, no, yeah, I was getting HEATED writing Min’s!

As MCR once said, teenagers scare the living shit out of me.
