not to be that person and I’m aware this might be an unpopular opinion but I actually still do think gay men being uncomfortable with some of the creepier yaoi shit and the more antisocial behaviours some female fans of it show is completely understandable even if those women are not dangerous in the way men are. and I don’t think jokes about sex acts between men being leveraged at macho straight guys ‘for feminism’ is feminist in any way and actually they rely entirely on societal homophobia existing in order to be ‘funny’ e.g. the idea they are meant to be seen as degrading and emasculating. and if I was a gay man I’d feel angry about that also and think it’s completely understandable to be

Today I learned that "Makoharu" can either be:
• A persona 5 ship entailing Makoto Niijima and Haru Okumura.
Or
• A free! ship entailing Makoto Tachibana and Haruka Nanase.

And I think that's beautiful. Truly, the ultimate ship.

I've never really seen Eddie and Chrissy's relationship as romantic, I didn't get that vibe at all from their interaction. (it's completely fine if you did!! Everyone interprets things differently!) I see it as an opportunity for Chrissy to have a friend outside of her usual circle, to have someone that she can be herself around and not have to worry about being made fun of.
Eddie is obviously very much always his loud and carefree self and that's so refreshing for Chrissy because she's part of a crowd that makes fun of her when she wants to do something other than get shitfaced drunk and put other people down. It's so easy for her to drop the act around Eddie, so easy to snort when she laughs and wear clothes that are from last season and geek out over movies she loves. She doesn't need to put on a mask to fit in with Eddie, he encourages her to come out of her shell. When he notices her retreating within herself, he'll give her an encouraging smile and tell her it's okay, he wants to hear what she has to say.
She still loves cheerleading, she still loves going shopping and getting dressed up for a party but she can now enjoy these things with someone that actually appreciates her as she is, he doesn't expect anything from her.

Sometimes I really wish we’d stop saying that bisexuals fall in love with a person, not a gender. As a gay woman, sincerely, so do I. My brain might work differently in terms of which pool of people holds a potential for me to fall in love with, but within that pool, I still fall in love with a person. A whole person. Not a gender.
It’s the same reason why we might find it offensive when some straight people just set up the two gay men they happen to know without taking any further info into account. Yes, they’re both men attracted to other men. No, that’s not enough, they also have to be compatible as people.
Bisexuals are beautiful and deserve all the love and support, just like every other part of the queer community, just like every human being deserves basic respect and dignity as a human. I get that when this slogan was first used, it was meant to empower bisexuals, who had too often been misunderstood and mistreated both by homophobic straights and by ignorant members of the queer community. I’m all here for that! But there has to be a way we can celebrate bisexuals that isn’t reductive to how monosexuals fall in love.

Now my question is. Does Cacophonix's reputation as the ultimate gaylord precede him. Does anyone outside of the village know him as Mr. Gay. Is he like Lil Nas X where gays all around the. Area. Look up to him as the gay icon that he is.
Thank you kindly, I LOVE getting asks from you cause they are a perfect excuse for me to draw Cacofonix, and if there's one thing in this fandom I love drawing as much as Gaylois, it's Cacofonix. Here's a little comic inspired by your question since I can't help myself:

I can easily imagine Cacofonix on a big trip, having fun and indulging all of the opportunities and glamour of city life, making friends (lovers? possibly? 😳) easily, courtesy of his charismatic and pleasant demeanor (at least as long as he doesn't try to sing). People obviously aren't fans of his musical talent, or rather a lack thereof, but whenever a stranger happens to recognize him and call him by name he tends to immediately jump to that conclusion and brag about it to his fellow village folks, who clearly aren't buying it, lmao. Admittedly, at the end of the day, being appreciated and recognized for being entertaining, pretty and gay rather than for your art is not the worst position to be in, so he does take it for what it is, though not without a healthy dose of fussing about constantly, no matter where he goes, being "strangely surrounded by people who don't seem to understand art".
Funny that you mention Lil Nas X cause I just made a playlist with my favourite bardcore covers in honor of Cacofonix the Ultimate Gaylord™ and Montero is the first song on it.
