I figured I'll do a little fun art commission giveaway... whatever you want to call it. I'll draw both Sebastian and Ominis in an AU (could be anime/game/movie/time period) or a prompt of your choice.

Introducing my Hogwarts Legacy Character: Soren Shinohara

I realized I haven't shown my personal character at Hogwarts Legacy! I thought it would be fun to introduce him to the community.

૮꒰˵• ﻌ •˵꒱ა

His name is Soren Shinohara, and he was born into a Japanese - Danish lineage (I HC that the parents were both working in the Beast Division in the Ministry -- that's why Soren's good at handling beasts). Soren discovered his magical abilities pretty late compared to other students, but he was very keen on learning from Professor Fig.

He didn't have any expectations of where he was going to be sorted. The hat had a hard time deciding between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. It finally chose Slytherin as Soren has a big ambition to make his mark in the school. His first impression of Hogwarts was that there were a lot of... interesting students. He didn't take a lot of time to befriend his housemates though, taking particular interest in Sebastian and Ominis. The boy also thought it was fun bantering with Imelda Reyes.

Some quick HC pointers about his relationship with the characters:

A bit of a gaslighter to Sebastian. He thought the guy was fun and Soren's very interested in learning about the Dark Arts (based on the stories he heard from his parents). He genuinely cared for Seb, considering him one of his best mates in school. Can be seen walking around the halls with Seb and Ominis to fool around study together.

Soren was scared of Ominis at first, literally thought he was going to stab him when he slept. But they got along pretty well. In fact, Soren quite enjoyed hearing Ominis' feisty insults about their classmates. However, Soren was def on Seb's side, convincing Ominis that the Dark Arts can be a way to save Anne.

Loves being around Natty! Soren thought they share a similar experience of being the "new kid". Always looked for her when he needed advice. Occasionally brought her candies since he still felt bad that Nat took Crucio for him. He's a bit scared of Natty's mom though.

Soren thought Poppy was a bit odd at first, but they hit it off right away. Especially after saving the dragons and hearing Poppy's background, the boy's gone soft for her. Very protective of the Hufflepuff, ready to fight for her if anybody dares to hurt her. Seemed like they have feelings for each other he he

Would tell Amit about the stars that he found along the journey. A bit overwhelmed by his genius, but Soren admired the guy.

Fwopper Feather? Ashwinder eggs? Soren would give the ingredients to Garreth whenever he asked -- as long as Soren could see what the mischievous boy concocted.

The professors were both impressed by Soren's fast learning skills, but also frustrated because he would skip classes to battle poachers and spiders

Hope you liked my boy! (SPOILER) He kept the ancient magic repository as a secret until the end, tried to use his powers for good.
