How would any of the T-dolls react to their s/o easily picking them up or physically overpowering them with no effort or strain whatsoever

(GFL) AK-15, RPK-16, SPAS-12, G11, HK416, and RO635's S/O picking them up

Admittedly it is possible with some of the lighter T-Dolls like AN-94, but imagine trying to lift someone like SPAS.

15's eyes only slightly widen in surprise when S/O manages to pick her up and carry them, bridal style.

She turns her gaze to S/O with a relatively deadpan voice.

(AK-15) "What is the purpose of doing this, S/O?"

(S/O) "Well, I want to show you that I can carry you too!"

(AK-15) "It is impressive, but unnecessary."

(S/O) "It absolutely is! How else could I prove the strength of love?"

(AK-15) "..."

(S/O) "...T-That was a joke-"

15 gently pushes S/O off as she gets on her own two feet.

(AK-15) "Now that I know your strength, S/O, you should join me for training sometime this week."

15 found their strength neat, but it didn't really fluster her as much as S/O hoped it would.

16 lets a quiet "oh" escape her lips as S/O picks her up without issue.

(RPK-16) "Oh, you're far stronger than I thought."

(S/O) "Come on, I gotta do something to impress you!"

(RPK-16) "Well, you certainly did that...Interesting place for your hands too."

(S/O) "W-Well, I'm just lifting you, not groping you!"

(RPK-16) "Hm, is that right?"

Even though she was in their arms, S/O was starting to blush making her laugh.

16 at least knows someone can carry her to the repair bay. And bed. And anywhere, really.

She is half tempted to ask S/O just to carry her everywhere.

SPAS is completely shocked when her feet leave the ground.

(SPAS-12) "GUH?!"

(S/O) "Gotcha!"

SPAS blushes madly when she realizes S/O is able to lift her, and they didn't seem to struggle either.

(SPAS-12) "S-S/O?! The heck are you doing?!"

(S/O) "Can I not pick up my beautiful girlfriend?"

Blushing at the name, she ignored the teasing and asked her main question.

(SPAS-12) "Just how strong are you, and why did you never tell me you could do this!? You could've helped me bring my equipment back a while ago!"

SPAS begins to pout, from both their strength, and the fact they never offered once to help carry all her snacks and gear.

G11 just lets out a quiet but cute "waaaah" as she is lifted into S/O's back.

Her arms wrap around their neck softly as she yawns.

(G11) "Hm...comfy."

(S/O) "Wow, your equipment is a lot lighter than I thought it'd be!"

(G11) "...You're not going to take me to do work, are you?"

(S/O) "I was just wanting to show you how strong I was, really."

S/O already knew G11 was closing her eyes as her head rested on their shoulder.

(G11) "Take me to bed and put the blankets over me..."

Now she latches onto S/O's back solely to go to sleep, much to S/O's annoyance.

HK416 screams many German curses as the floor suddenly leaves her feet, seeing S/O carry them.

(HK416) "What the hell are you doing to me?!"

(S/O) "Surprise! Just wanted to pick you up.~"

She has half a mind just to punch them in the face.

Instead, she frowns before getting on the floor herself and crossing her arms.

(HK416) "Don't just pick me up without warning, jackass! That's just begging to get hit!"

(S/O) "Did you not like it?"

(HK416) "No, I didn't!"

The blush on her cheeks tells S/O otherwise.

Now, HK would do the same to them, similarly without issue.

(HK416) "Not so fun when it happens to you, is it?"

(S/O) "Actually, your arms feel kinda nice..."

(HK416) "Tch, whatever..."

RO yelps as S/O suddenly picks her up, making her stammer.

(RO635) "W-What in the world are you doing, S/O?!"

S/O flashed her a cheeky grin before kissing her on the cheek.

(S/O) "Seeing your reaction."

(RO635) "N-NOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHERS!"

Her hands are close to her chest and fidgeting wildly as she feels the gaze of her squad on them.

(S/O) "Sorry, couldn't resist!"

RO is pouting the entire time when they finally put her down.

She doesn't even think about the implications of a human being able to completely carry her due to being flustered.

(RO635) "Please do not do that to me without warning..."

(S/O) "So I can do it as long as I tell you?"

(RO635) "No, that is not what-"

(S/O) "Picking you up!"

(RO635) "S/O! I am -UWAH?!"

Talk about the plot, bro.

So. My bro's character, the main driving force of the plot, is essentially Captain Ahab if he were a metal lizard in space. He is replicated neuron-jelly smeared on an electrode plate driving a robot body, and that robot body is a megalomaniacal lizard man with a grappling hook arm. His Moby Dick is a rogue AI that can hijack and control any computer system who we're pursuing across the solar system (and beyond?)

My character is our ship's pilot and chief engineer. And also a mutant - sentient masses of infectious cancer cells engineered by the Soviets to survive in a post-nuclear-WW3 Earth, capable of hiding inside and piloting around human corpses. Discount The Thing. Zombie controlled by a giant necromorph-centipede grown out of what used to be a human spinal column and ribcage. But mainly just wants to go on space adventures and see where this crazy robot lizard is going with all this.

Other guy who's been playing from the beginning, the ship's gunner, is a giant cybernetic moth from Titan. We haven't gotten too much into his backstory yet, except that he's a former royal guard because there's a moth monarchy on a moon of Saturn.

We met up in a scrapyard on Deimos, built an abomination of a ship by strapping a Schwerer Gustav railway gun to a NERVA II nuclear rocket engine. Our ship's computer is also an NPC we rescued from partial stroggification by uploading his consciousness into the not-yet-activated control chip that would have taken him over.

We've been running all this in simple D6 since last November and so far have made it as far as Ceres, which was under the control of CENTRAL (the Central Electronic Network Tactics, Regulatory and Logistical Computer) operating Alpha Complex (since we'd played some Paranoia a couple years back but only got through a couple sessions and wanted to do a callback) - liberated it and its android/replicant inhabitants and installed a new president: a talking HK G11, because why not. And we're currently on a minor detour for an Inner System Grand Prix, a death race using the gravitational pull of the planets to hurl ourselves around the sun.

We also recently picked up a couple more PCs, one dude playing a liberated replicant and the other a glitchy AI, but they've only been around for a couple sessions so far so their whole deal remains to be seen.

Classic Fallout Weapons BETA

I downloaded the mod after making the National Guard Depot my stash spot and player home early on in the game and went back later to find all the weapons from the mod scattered around the floor and if that wasn't irritating enough (they easily could've had their own container or used an existing one), if I enter the first portion of the vault -which is were I'm talking about- then I am unable to leave without the game freezing. It wont even crash. The mod is great but finding all the weapons in 30 seconds was disappointing after spending hours in the wasteland trying to come across them all. I get why they're there but the placement was sloppy and effectively made the National Guard Depot armory cursed. I'll tinker around with it and see if putting things in boxes will fix the issue but coming across this during a livestream was a bad look.

Now as for the weapon reload animations: nice work. there are some wtf moments but in first person the sort of off screen reloading is something I can really appreciate when a weapon is just specifically different than any other reload animations in the vanilla game. The P90 needs an off screen first person reload, that shit bothered me.

The Advanced Combat Rifle Colouring Book

I have a new book out. A coulouring book! It traces the history and technology behind the US Army’s 1980s trials program that looked for a brand new weapon to replace the iconic M16. The ACR program saw four prototypes (including the legendary HK G11) tested - all four of these are brought together in the ACR colouring book. 

The original illustrations were drawn from photographs I took of the prototype weapons themselves so the are highly detailed but leave enough room for you to colour the guns how ever you like.

I've actually been wanting to write something like this for a while, so now's the perfect excuse to write it!

NSF-W IMPLICATIONS BELOW THE CUT! obviously

S/O's eyes slowly flutter open from the lights of their quarters, feeling a warmth on their body.

Their head turned to a smiling 12, who was snuggled into their chest, her finger idly tracing the outline of their shoulder.

(AK-12) "Hm, looks like someone slept good.~"

(S/O) "Thanks to a certain someone."

S/O made a conscious effort to not stare at her bare chest as the blanket shifted, something which she noticed despite her eyes being shut still.

(AK-12) "Why so shy now? You enjoyed doing much more to them last night-"

(S/O) "Ah, don't say it like that! Makes me sound like some kinda pervert."

12 hummed playfully as S/O moved to get up. Their quarters had always been an enclosed gray rectangle with only space enough for a table, chair, bed, and a closet.

But with 12 hugging so tightly onto them, it felt even smaller somehow.

Before they could fully sit upright, she forced them back down, a small chuckle escaping her lips.

(AK-12) "Come on, we don't have to get up just yet. I'm not entirely satisfied."

(S/O) "We both have to get to work soon, 12. And unlike you, I can get sore."

12's eyes opened and revealed her glowing pink irises, staring straight at S/O, though her expression was more soft than intimidating.

(AK-12) "Please?"

(S/O) sigh "...That's cheating."

(AK-12) "Mhm, but is it working?"

It took all of S/O's self-restraint to not do anything else after giving her a kiss, resulting in 12 making an adorable pout.

S/O felt a small nudge on their forehead that stirred them awake, turning their head to the left and seeing 15 looking at them.

(AK-15) "...Good morning."

(S/O) "Mm...Morning, 15."

Her face was stoic as usual, though there was the slightest tinge of red on her cheeks. S/O had no idea if that was her, or just their eyes seeing something that wasn't there.

Regardless, it made S/O cuddle into 15 with their arms wrapping around her waist.

She slowly raised her arms and did the same, their bare skin touching one another.

Although just like last night, it felt more passionate than lewd.

(AK-15) "You are not injured, I presume?"

(S/O) "Injured? From wha-...O-Oh, right." ahem "No, just a little sore is all."

(AK-15) "Understood. I will take better care next time, my apologies."

(S/O) "Heh, you don't need to say sorry. I don't exactly mind."

(AK-15) "No, but the Commander will should our intercourse become a liability."

S/O couldn't help but blush a little by how bluntly 15 stated last night's activities.

(S/O) "R-Right...By the way, did you kiss my forehead?"

(AK-15) "I did...Should I have not done that?"

(S/O) "Actually, I...was wondering if you could do it again."

15 remained silent again before nodding.

(AK-15) "Acknowledged."

UMP45 yawned as she moved closer into S/O's personal space, a hand lazily resting on their chest.

(UMP45) "Mornin'."

(S/O) "Hey, sleep alright?"

(UMP45) "Mmm, guess so. Now I understand why G11 struggles to get out of bed."

(S/O) "The bed that comfortable?"

(UMP45) "Well, that and a certain someone is quite the sight to wake up to."

UMP45 playfully kissed their cheek and smiled, one of the rare times S/O got to see her genuine one.

(S/O) "You're not so bad looking yourself, you know."

(UMP45) "Aren't you the charmer?...Alright, we should probably get moving. Don't want HK screaming at me too."

UMP45 and S/O sat up, the blanket falling onto both their laps with nothing to make themselves look decent.

Not that either of them minded.

UMP45 felt a tad bit embarrassed about her chest being out in the open, but it quickly dissipated when her head fell onto S/O's shoulder.

(UMP45) "...On second thought, maybe we can stay like this for a few more minutes."

(S/O) "No complaints from me."

416 holds onto S/O tighter the moment she felt them awaken and trying to move.

(S/O) "Wha...416?"

(HK416) "You move too much in your sleep."

(S/O) "You didn't have a problem with me moving last night-"

416 gave them a death glare as S/O chuckled, but she simply shook her head and rested it on their chest.

She angled her head away to make sure S/O didn't see her blush, but they could just feel it with how her face began to heat up.

(S/O) "Did you rest well at least? I hope I didn't annoy you too much then."

(HK416) "I slept good...t-thanks to you. Now, get your ass up. I don't wanna have to lecture you too as well."

(S/O) "But, you're on me-"

416 gently flicked their forehead, grumbling what S/O could assume was German.

(S/O) "Love you too, 416!"

416 rolled her eyes but S/O saw the tiniest smile on the corner of her lips that formed.

S/O feels their hand wrapped in a comfortable warmth, turning over and seeing M4 smiling right at them, both her hands wrapping around theirs.

(M4A1) "Good morning, dear."

Even though she was blushing, her smile did nothing to mask her beauty, making S/O's mouth go slightly agape.

(S/O) "Morning, M4."

The two briefly kissed before S/O squeezed her hand in return, making her giggle.

(S/O) "You're very beautiful in the morning, you know that?"

M4 bashfully turned away, finally releasing S/O's hand.

(M4A1) "Hah, I-I don't know if I can handle these kinds of compliments this early in the morning."

(S/O) "How about this then?"

M4 let out a cute yelp when S/O suddenly hugged her from behind, rapidly giving her light pecks on the cheek that made her laugh.

S/O was just happy to see M4 laughing after what she had been through.

She deserved every bit of affection, and more.

M16 obnoxiously stretched and yawned, her hand accidentally smushing against S/O's face.

(S/O) "Ack...!"

(M16A1) "Heh, what's up?"

She messily rolled over on top of them, her chest squishing up against them and threatening to press against their face, making S/O blush madly.

(M16A1) "Seriously? This wasn't even the craziest position w-"

(S/O) "Stop it! Too early for this, M16!"

M16 let out a hearty laugh, but her expression became softer as she laid her head next to theirs.

(M16A1) "...I love you."

S/O was taken aback by how affectionate she had just become, but returned the gesture with a kiss on her eye.

(S/O) "Love you too."

M16 finally got off S/O, letting them breathe freely again as she got up and put on a shirt.

(S/O) "...H-Hey, that's my shirt!"

(M16A1) "Psh, girlfriend rules. Whatever clothes you wear are mine."

She wore the shirt outside of their room, making many members of AR Team realize the implications of what had happened.

Except for SOPMOD.

RO flusteredly put the blanket over her large chest, making S/O wake up faster than she intended.

(S/O) "Hm...? Oh, hey RO. Is something wrong?"

(RO635) "N-No, it's just...Um...I don't look decent right now."

S/O smiled as their hand brushed against hers.

(S/O) "You always look beautiful to me, RO."

Her cheeks brighten up at the compliment, but is quick to correct them.

(RO635) "I-I meant I'm not dressed!"

(S/O) "I know what you meant. But really? After what we did last night?"

(RO635) "That's a bit different! But...I appreciate the compliment."

S/O laughed at how adorable she was, giving them a small peck on the cheek. It made her shoulders finally relax, and let the blanket drop as she averted her gaze.

(RO635) "Can you hand me my shirt...please?"

G36's eyes squint as she wakes up, trying to find a shirt to put on for the moment before feeling S/O's hand on her waist.

(G36) "Ah, good morning, dear."

(S/O) "Morning. Going to work already?"

(G36) "Indeed."

(S/O) "Can't you stay in bed for at least a few more minutes?"

(G36) "No, I cannot. I must make myself look presentable otherwise people might...talk."

G36 reflexively covered her chest, though she made no effort to hide it from S/O.

(S/O) "Well, at least that'll be easy for you..."

S/O awkwardly eyed the hickies on their neck.

G36 vision became clearer as she closed in on S/O's face, giving them a quick kiss before finally getting up and letting S/O stare.

(G36) "...S/O, I believe you have already had ample time to look at me from last night. May I ask if you can help find my clothes?"

(S/O) "R-Right."

WA's eyes shot wide open the moment she realized she had no clothes on, and neither did S/O.

She looked hurriedly back and forth for a shirt before seeing S/O slowly get up.

S/O wrapped their arms around her stomach, making her yelp as she felt their head on her shoulder.

(S/O) "Hey, WA-"

(WA2000) "W-Watch where your hands are going!"

S/O chuckled teasingly, but made no suggestive movement with their hands, much to her relief.

Instead their hug became tighter.

(S/O) "You didn't mind at all last night where my hands were-"

(WA2000) "I swear to god you blockhead, one more word out of your mouth...!"

WA felt S/O's smirk grow against her bare shoulder, but they said nothing else when WA sighed and relaxed into them.

WA rested her body against theirs, closing her eyes.

(WA2000) "...Just give me my shirt in a few minutes, and I'll let you have this, alright?"

(S/O) "Let me have this, or let you have this?"

(WA2000) "Shut it already."

WA squeezed the hands around her tightly, deciding to enjoy the intimate moment with S/O adding of saying anything else.

Helian jolted awake as her eyes shot wide open, almost screaming.

(Helianthus) "I'M GONNA BE LATE!"

(S/O) "H-Helian! It's only 7, we still got an hour and a half!"

(Helianthus) "I...I-I see."

She finally realized what had happened, noticing her and S/O's lack of clothing.

Slowly, she grabbed the blanket and covered her chest awkwardly.

(Helianthus) "...G-Good morning."

(S/O) "Um...Morning."

An awkward silence passed between the two before she put the blanket to her mouth, her voice barely above a whisper.

(Helianthus) "...Was...I alright last night?"

S/O smiled and took her into a loving embrace, making her relax just the slightest amount.

(S/O) "More than alright. You made me feel loved, and that's all I'll ask for. What about you?"

Uncharacteristically, she gets even quieter as her expression softens and her shoulders become less stiff.

(Helianthus) "...I feel the same, S/O."

After a moment enjoying the intimacy, Helian clears her throat and begins speaking how she normally does.

(Helianthus) "Get yourself dressed. I want you ready by the time I come out the shower."

(S/O) "Can't we both use it?"

That immediately makes her fumble her next words.

(Helianthus) "I-...I suppose we can. Just...don't try anything, alright?"

(S/O) "Heh, yes ma'am."

She raised an eyebrow at their playful tone.

(S/O) "..." ahem "Understood."

S/O said in a much more clearer and professional tone.

That made Helian chuckle, making her squeeze their hand affectionately.

(Helianthus) "Much better."

She didn't mind S/O's playfulness and...other moods, as long as it was kept inside here in privacy.

The guns of the Fallout series and how Bethesda knows less about guns than I do about making music.

While this is mostly about the specific weapons of the 3D Fallouts, I’ll at least go over the problems of the isometric Fallouts. Also, I should mention that, while I am a gun nerd, I am by no means a gun expert. 

Fallout

The guns in Fallout are mostly future guns with modern bullets, for instance the iconic 10mm pistol being in lore the “Colt 6520 10mm pistol,” with 10mm Auto being an actual round. Although it was surpassed by the .40 S&W for being unwieldy, 10mm auto has made a resurgence in recent years and the specific pistol looks bulky enough to potentially make up for the harsh recoil.

It was here I was going to bitch about the minigun, as Minigun was originally a specific gun, and the minigun in game uses 5mm rounds, not to be confused with .223 caliber and 5.56 NATO, with them being interchangeable in guns chambered for 5.56 NATO (guns that are designed for .223 can feed 5.56 but whether or not the gun can handle the pressure and heat depends on the gun.) But upon farther reflection, the minigun in Fallout is called the “Rockwell CZ53 personal minigun”, personal implying that it is designed for infantry and probably not requiring a car battery to use. Also the minigun, along with the assault rifle, uses 5mm, which implies a new smaller NATO (or whatever replaced NATO in the Fallout universe) round that is more controllable, given that the assault rifle (8 to 16 damage) does less damage than the hunting rifle (8 to 20 damage.)

Also, this isn’t relevant to anything, but it turns out that the plasma pistol is the Glock 86. I don’t know why but I find the implication that Glock just decided to only produce plasma pistols in the future hilarious. I bet they still use the same pain in the ass to reload magazines.

Fallout 2

Fallout 2′s weapons include all of Fallout’s, but with plenty of fun additions like the G11. IDK what gun wizards HK employs but I’ve never seen an HK gun I didn’t like. That being said in game they call the P90c an HK gun. I have no idea why, the P90 is an FN gun, not an HK gun, and I don’t think they’d buy the rights to the P90 anytime soon given they have their own competitor on the market that I’m also a slut for but that’s neither here nor there. Don’t ask me which I’d prefer, I’m already indecisive about what to eat, I don’t need another internal argument.

Fallout 3

Mmmmm yes, I love my AK47 breaking after 1212 shots in a game where that can easily be a single segment of the main story, thank you Bethesda. Mmmm yes, I love not being able to repair it more than my repair skill even though it requires the same exact gun. MMMMMMMM YES PLZ fucking decide that the Fat Man should be called the Nuka Launcher in the Japanese versions of the game but don’t reflect on maybe not calling it the Fat Man in any version of the game. Especially considering that the actual weapon it’s based off is called the Davy Crocket, a much cooler less assuming name*.

*Turns out I got Davy Crocket confused with Steve Irwin, it’s still problematic but in a different direction and most importantly it wouldn't have been Bethesda’s fault.

Oh, right, this was supposed to be about guns.

It has a few guns from Fallout (but not Fallout 2), but they also changed a lot for the worst. Since I have problems with basically every gun I’ll go over them one by one.

.32 pistol: I don’t directly have a problem with this, seeing as it seems to just be a S&W Model 30, but that along with the damage implies that the .32 caliber bullets in the game are .32 S&W Long. More on that later. Also it breaks after 556 rounds, which leads me to believe that the guns don’t actually break so much as the Lone Wanderer (or Beth) just doesn’t realize that you’re supposed to clean your equipment after you use it and so they just try to replace dirty parts thinking they’re broken, which would be funny if it wasn’t such an annoying mechanic.

Chinese pistol: Why is this in 10mm? Because you didn’t want to add another ammo type? While the Mauser C96 was popular in China and the specific caliber the variants are manufactured in, fucking none of them are 10mm auto because 10mm auto is a fucking 1980s round, which means it’s inconsistent with Bethesda's version of the lore.

Scoped .44 Magnum: Why does literally every version you can get in game have a scope? I know some people do but also why is it literally everyone who owns one in this game? Guess people in the Capital Wasteland like having sore wrists.

Assault rifle: It’s a G3, which is period accurate, but the problem is it uses 5.56 NATO in game. Not only does the G3 use 7.62 NATO irl, but the 5.56 was made in the 1970s, again breaking their own lore. You could claim it’s the .223 Remington, but they specifically call it 5.56

Infiltrator: It’s the assault rifle, but with a scope, no butt stock, and a suppressor. I hope you like the gun flailing wildly now while you try to look down the scope.  I’m sorry, I can’t help but think the Lone Wanderer is using all scoped guns like this because of how dumb this is.

Chinese assault rifle: there are a few different AK variants that this could be. Guess which caliber none of them can take? That’s right, it’s fucking 5.56 NATO, because China has a defensive doctrine that is very specific about which ammo their guns use for supply line reasons. Ok, technically there were 5.56 NATO variants of the Type 81, but only 20 were imported before being blocked and it was semiautomatic anyways.

Hunting rifle: No. No. No. Why? Why is it in .32? Why does it do so much more damage than the assault rifle if it’s in fucking .32? You already have .308, just make it fucking .308. Fuck!

Lever action rifle: Second verse, same as the first. Also reminder that 10mm auto was a 1980s round.

Combat shotgun: there’s 4 or 5 different guns this could be based off of, and all of them are submachine guns. Thanks, I hate it!

Fallout: New Vegas

Literally no complaints about the guns in New Vegas. While I personally think that they should have gone with the M14 instead of the M1 for the battle rifle, there isn’t anything wrong with the rendition of the M1 and admittedly it’s a more iconic gun. They even bothered with different types of ammo and fixed the weapon durability mechanics while still leaving it in. While I still don’t like the mechanic per say it feels like it has a reason to exist with the addition of the survival mechanics, increased weapon durability, jury rigging perk, and changing of how repair works.

Fallout 4

So they did away with weapon durability (not a bad change), the crafting system (which I really love the idea of but hate the execution) has the way you upgrade weapons no only be level locked, but it’s tied to the receiver and there’s an objective best upgrade for most guns with major increases in damage and no ammo types even though the game has a system in place to swap ammo used by two different weapons (the syringer and junk jet both use this menu.) If you wanted to have a way to upgrade damage it should have been barrel length and even then it shouldn’t have been the massive percentage increases like it is. I’ll be doing this like Fallout 3 but with a bit at the end I’d like to point out.

Deliverer: We’re back to “why is this in 10mm auto” territory. The game has .38 returning for some reason, even though the only guns that use it by default are the pipe guns (we’ll get there.) You should have renamed it to .32 and made this gun use it by default. Or fuck, pretend that .380 and .38 are the same thing if you’re that stubborn and dumb, I would have only made fun of you a little bit for it. Why you gotta do the gun that killed Hitler dirty like this?

Hunting rifle: No major complaints about the gun itself, it’s always in the left handed configuration, even though everyone in the Fallout universe is right handed, but I personally don’t have an issue with this. My dad and sister are both left handed so I’m used to a more ambidextrous mindset. Also I know the reason they did this is probably to show off the animation better, but honestly who cares? My actual issue lies in the fact that this and the pipe bolt-action [sic] are the only guns that can be modified to take .50 cal, even though the combat rifle acts as a direct upgrade for this gun.

Assault rifle: Nothing about this is an assault rifle. Fully modded this gun is easily heavier than the minigun, the gun it’s based on is the Lewis gun, a light machine gun, the ingame model is bulky af, Literally the only things assault rifle about this gun are made up by Beth, the actual Lewis gun has 47 round mags and uses full-powered rifle cartridges (as opposed to 5.56 NATO, which is an intermediate cartridge.) 

Combat rifle: Yes Bethesda, thank you for adding .45 to the game. No Bethesda, that doesn’t mean you can start making it a rifle cartridge. Should have been the actual assault rifle, which still would have been bad given that it’s obviously a BAR, but would have been better.

Gauss rifle: great, you took a cool gun from Fallout 2 and made it worse in every way. At least you bothered to remember that it used 2mm rounds in that game.

Combat shotgun: I think they did this because they couldn’t or didn’t want to bother making actual tube magazine shotguns. If you can’t then you should do what GTA 5 did which is have you load two shells then call it a day, it looks goofy but I can at least say they did it for balance reasons and not because they’re lazy. Also it’s less based on the PPSh-41 and more just “we took the combat rifle and added some detail to make it less obviously a BAR.”

Pipe pistol: Ok, real homemade guns exist, and you can set up a low tech manufacturing plant somewhere to make them, but they wouldn’t look like this:

and are woefully inaccurate because the barrel isn’t rifled. Still, an SMG is an SMG when you’re saying “fuck you” to the British government.

Pipe bolt-action: literally the same model, but this time in .308 and the Sole Survivor racks the bolt between every shot. Still dumb.

Pipe revolver: You really need to start labling your rounds, you can’t keep doing this. You say it’s in .45, but is that .45 ACP or .45 Colt? One you wouldn’t put into a revolver, and the other you wouldn’t put into an SMG. Fucking pick one! At least it’s a different model this time.

Ok, now for the thing I was saving: half the guns in base game Fallout 4 are late world war 1 or early interwar designs. I’m serious. With the exception of the 10mm pistol, .44 pistol, and maybe the hunting rifle, every single base game small gun is pre world war two. Have a look:

Also, while I’m here, I’d like to point out how dumb the missile launcher is. The base is fine, standard rocket launcher, but the upgraded variants with multiple missile tubes have nowhere for the rocket exhaust to go, meaning it would bake the operator. I don’t think I’ve seen a dev fuck up the M202 Flash so badly. Here’s a few images and a video to show what I mean.
