I'm slowly rebuilding my tumblr presence since Twitter is currently burning, but I also refuse to leave the building until I know everyone else is going to get out safely. That being said, for those who haven't kept up with me there, I'm Ruby Ranger, I'm your gaming dad, I make video essays on retro first person shooters. Today I'm going deep into the History of Marathon, Bungie's underrated gem. We review, we reflect, and we really need to address why this game has stayed under the radar for so long. Let's dive in!
For some reason you can spawn British soldiers in Trepang2′s sandbox mode.
I’m going to show my kids this and tell them this is how George Washington single-handedly defeated the British army and earned America its independence.
free practice results don’t matter at all, unless my driver does well, in which case they are the most important predictor of results and my fave will be winning it all
as someone thats played a. um. healthy amount of ff14 you can get through most of the story stuff just with npcs and you dont have to interact w real people. and even when you do have to interact with people theyre generally very nice and understanding

writing conflict in fic is so hard for me as a person with no moral compass cuz im always like ... how do i know when its too far? how do decipher what is meaningless little beef or what the readers will deem an unforgivable act? because when it comes to my fave characters babyyyyy i can excuse anything lmfao also im writing from their perspective so im like "yeah obviously this is justifiable" or "they meant no real harm it was just reflex"
officially started my pc journey. immediately lost my first qp game but we won a few team fights against broken heroes so that counts for something, right? 😭😭
"In the face of regret, understand that there was no other way that events could have played out. All you can do is learn from the experience, and move on." - 'Free Will', Receiver 2
If I were to change anything about the Call of Duty: Black Ops: Zombies map Five, I would replace the player character Robert McNamara with George H.W. Bush. Bush's dialogue would refer to keeping Kennedy safe from the zombies because "killing him is my job". He would also be taunted by Fidel Castro, another player character, about the failure of Bush's "perfect" plan in the Bay of Pigs
i’d like to have a talk with my younger self. how the FUCK did I just shamelessly make friends online. how do you even do that. how do you just FIND group chats online to join and then do fun things in???? hello whwat
Finally, much much much later than ever intended there is a chapter two for SMQ. I’m just going through the final edits for it now but it will be posted within a week. (Hand over heart, I swear this to be true).
I’ll be dropping teasers this week in the lead up to its release so stay tuned.
Thank you for sticking with me for so long.
