My Thoughts on Poppy Playtime Chapter 3

Ollie is ADORABLE!!!! "No ouchies or lost body parts?" HE'S A BABY I NEED TO PROTECT!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!! (¬‿¬) I have ZERO evidence for this but my theory is he’s The Prototype.

I’m REALLY happy to see the phone Ollie calls the player on is identical to the one in Project: Playtime! It’s nice seeing stuff introduced in Project: Playtime finally appear in the main series.

( ⚆_⚆ ) ESPECIALLY DR. HARLEY SAWYER!!!! WOW THE TAPE FEATURING HIM TALKING TO THE PROTOTYPE WAS DARK!!!! I knew a man like Dr. Sawyer would be a sick and twisted individual since he created the Bigger Bodies Initiative.

Despite that I was NOT prepared to hear the joy in his voice to experiment on children. It was revolting.

This exchange:

Prototype: "You stick us. Beat us. Tear at flesh. Do you feel it?"

Dr. Sawyer: "There is a secret inside you, 1006. Valuable beyond all measure. I cut and prod and burn at it, and I get closer with each session . . . So speak, or don't. Fight, or give in. Regardless, I learn something new about you every day . . . (Laughs) It excites me!"

Prototype: "Thank you."

Dr. Sawyer: "You . . . thank me?"

Prototype: "Absolutely. I learn something new about you every day."

THAT FINAL LINE WHEN THE PROTOTYPE IS MIMICKING DR. SAWYER'S VOICE AHHHHHH!!!!

＿|￣|○ I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO DR. SAWYER SO BADDDDD!!!!!! He wasn’t around for The Hour of Joy but I hope he suffered.

Leith Pierre: "Normally I'd have Dr. Sawyer do this but he's uhhh . . . out, let's say. So you got me until they find his replacement."

(o ´ _ ` )o The contrast between how Dr. Sawyer speaks to the experiments VS Leith Pierre the Head of Innovation at Playtime Co.

Both dehumanize the experiments in different ways.

Leith Pierre can’t even bother remembering Catnap's real name. He puts on this fake friendly facade. Referring to Catnap as his Pal and Buddy. It's so disingenuous.

Especially when he asks, "Heya Theo! How ya doin' bud?" Pierre could care less about how Catnap feels. It's only when Catnap responds, "The Prototype will save us." That gets Pierre to finally drops the corporate spiel. Admitting to what this place is. Catnap’s prison.

No wonder Catnap worshipped The Prototype after being save when this is what he’s told about his horrific situation.

Leith Pierre: "THIS is your life now. Get used to it."

I absolutely LOVED all the new features for the Grab Pack. The air jet looked SO FUN!!!! Watching people desperately shoot the flare gun against smiling critters in a cramped space WAS SO INTENSE!!! The smiling critter's small growls and whimpers made me sad.

(ʃƪ 〃’▽’〃)♡ The horror in this chapter was INCREDIBLE!!!! While I had fun playing Chapter 2 I remember feeling disappointed by the scares.

CHAPTER THREE HAD ME HORRIFIED!!!! EVERY JUMP SCARE HAD ME FLYING OUT MY CHAIR, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS AMAZING AND AHHHHH THE HOME ORPHANAGE SECTION!!!!!

It reminded me of PT ∑(; °_°) Especially with the radio informing us that in Elliot Ludwig's house it was discovered he HAD THE BODY OF A CHILD IN A DUFFLE BAG!!?!?!?!?!?!

ALSO THAT ONE RADIO'S REVERSE MESSAGE!!!

"8-8-1995 I find your presence intrusive. After all this time you return. You come in here and yet you kill and murder. You pilate and destroy. Your presence was demanded 10 years ago and yet you didn't show up . . . 8-8-1995 You were supposed to be here. Why weren't you here? You missed the event. You missed the meeting. You missed the party. You have no right to be here . . ."

AHHHHHH MOBGAMES KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING WITH THE LIGHTING IN THIS SCENE!!!!!

I thought I was going to see MY BOY 😭💔!!!!!!

Huggy Wuggy is completely fine.

Kissy Missy was so sad and adorable in this chapter. Seeing her stare at the picture and hug herself BROKE MY HEART ( o̴̶̷᷄ _ o̴̶̷̥᷅ )!!! She deserves the world.

Catnap acting like a child and avoiding school 😭💔

Miss Delight was a minor spoiler I knew about since people used her face in their thumbnail. However I was NOT prepared for her to act like a Coil-Head!!!!

Theodore being described as antisocial and having a peculiar relationship with an imaginary friend _(:ì」∠)_.

That “imaginary” friend being The Prototype. Who guided Theodore to help them both escape. Only for Theodore to get electrocuted since he was just a child who didn't know how to safely use a Grabpack.

The Prototype throwing away their chance to escape to save Theodore by bringing him to the staff. Showing The Prototype does care in some way.

Only for Theodore to be later turned Catnap.

THEN the player electrocutes Catnap the SAME way Theodore originally received his injuries. The Prototype comes to “save” Theodore once again but this time by making Catnap a part of him AND CATNAP ACCEPTS SO WILLINGLY (˃ ⌑ ˂ഃ )!!!!

It felt like I was watching a religious experience.

I love Poppy Playtime but I do think they show too much in their trailers. Dog day is a great example but even then his scene was *chef kiss*

All the smiling critters crawling inside Dogday as he desperately screamed in agony and for us to run away left me speechless.

I liked the detail of Dogday calling us angel. I'm excited to see all the AUs people create where we save him.

ALSO THE HOUR OF JOY WAS A BLAST TO WATCH!!!!!

I know Poppy is right that it was just senseless slaughter. How all that death didn't fix or help anyone. Especially when it didn't matter if those killed were innocent or not.

However imagining these characters being painfully experimented on and stripped of their autonomy. Going though years of hell and finally reaching their breaking point. It's hard to not feel good for them getting to release that anger. Even if I know it's wrong.

ALSO I GOT TO SEE MY SECOND FAVORITE CHARACTER BOXY BOO YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

THERE WAS SOOOOO MUCH HUGGY WUGGY IMAGERY IN THIS CHAPTER AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I'M GOING TO OVER THINK IT!!!!!! I HAVE NO THEORIES I’M JUST POINTING DETAILS OUT!!!!!!

When hallucinating Huggy Wuggy's face is on the employee training video:

“Join the Innovationists, where the bounds of science are continuously pushed. Or join the Counselors of Playcare, whose diligence and care for our children will help shape a brighter future, just you see.”

“Now every one of you has your part in that future, so should you come back tomorrow feeling unhappy for where you are, or what you’ve done . . . worry not, for your supervisor is here and happy to listen! And . . . should you come back . . . years later . . . your conscience finally getting the better of you. May you descend into the dark and the dust, finding all that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors . . . each hungry for your return, each eager that they might find you. Perhaps they’d smile at you from a shadow, their smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic, watching and waiting patiently for their turn at a warm welcome. Or perhaps they won’t allow you such a time to figure your place in the world you’d left. A world that’s theirs now. Welcome home.”

The video transforms into a manifestation of the player's guilt. Not only for their involvement for whatever they did while working at Playtime Co. but for being gone and returning after ten years.

This is also paired with the player's possible guilt for killing Huggy Wuggy and their fear of him.

The hallucination version being a more exaggerated version of the Chapter 1 Huggy Wuggy vent chase.

When Catnap causes the player to later hallucinate:

Poppy: “Do you even know what’s real?”

Poppy: “No you don’t.”

THEN AT THE END OF THE HALLUCINATION IT SHOWS US THE DAY OF JOY!!!! Which is very odd when you consider two things. We've been told multiple times we weren’t there and during this scene we didn't know what the Hour of Joy was.

So the player hallucinating being in front of Huggy Wuggy’s podium during The Hour of Joy with a large Prototype hand reaching for us IS ODD!!!

ALSO THE TAPE IT SHOWS THAT’S WHERE HUGGY WUGGY WAS DURING THE HOUR OF JOY!!!!!!!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?!

This is just speculation but perhaps the player's memories aren't as trustworthy as we think. After all we still aren't even sure who even sent us the letter or tape in Chapter 1.

"EVERYONE THINKS THE STAFF DISSAPEARED 10 YEARS AGO WE'RE STILL HERE FIND THE FLOWER"

It’s important to point out the characters from Chapter 2 made ZERO appearance during these hallucinations. Mommy Long Legs, PJ Pug-a-Pillar, Bunzo Bunny and the Wack-a-Wuggy.

Is the Huggy Wuggy imagery used because he’s who we encounter at the start of the game?

OR SOMETHING MORE AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

#Something something something the first key we needed in game was held up by Huggy Wuggy while on his podium.#So is The Prototype in the hallucination symbolizing he's the key to answering all our questions or am I overthinking everything asdnsf;alk #Rambling about my Poppy Playtime Self Insert -> I haven't decided what but something happened to my self insert to cause her memory issues.#She remembers small details from her time working for Playtime Co. but not the experiments.#So throughout the Chapters she's slowly unraveling the mystery of not only Playtime Co. but herself.#Everything story wise plays out the identical in all the chapters except one thing.#At the end of Chapter One instead of the box falling onto Huggy Wuggy. My self insert doesn't pull the box down in time.#Just as Huggy Wuggy is about to kill her. He finally gets a good look at her face.#Which she had hidden in the beginning with a mask + hat and hoodie because of the cameras.#As she ran and descended further into the facility she discarded her disguise.#Once Huggy Wuggy realizes who she is he stops trying to kill her.#Since there's not enough lore about the player's backstory yet I haven't decided why.#However whatever reason or friendship or connection they had she can't remember. Whatever it was causes Huggy Wuggy to not kill her.#During Chapter 2 Huggy Wuggy follows besides her. Helping when he can.#He can't help during the tests however since Mommy Long Legs considers that cheating. Mommy even is confused WHY he's helping her.#At the end of Chapter 2 when listening to the tape about Huggy Wuggy being the optimal outcome.#My self insert feels guilty and worries the only reason he hasn't killed her is because of what they did to him.#However the goof reassures her in his own odd way (pat on the head or a hug) that's not the case. In Ch. 3 he's with Kissy Missy and Poppy.#When Kissy Missy attacks my self insert he defends her (no violence just shoving and growling) but Poppy and I dissolve the situation.#Since Huggy Wuggy can't be protected from the Red Gas I imagine he has to wait with Kissy Missy and Poppy.#As for what history Huggy Wuggy and my self insert have to make him not be violent towards her I haven't decided.#The hallucination nightmare imagery remains the same. Although she feels comfortable with Huggy Wuggy now there's no denying he scared her.#Combined with her slowly remember her involvement and the guilt consuming her. Wondering if subconsciously she always knew.#I'm excited to delve more into their friendship and past. Although aggressive Huggy Wuggy is extremely smart.#Using the vents and escaping the facility. He doesn't act like a lost puppy or anything. He has his own agency.#Despite his hunger and aggression whatever their history is it's important enough he wants to ensure her safety.#Poppy Playtime #MaddyMoreauPost

I forget carmy is a wunderkind in the culinary world like of course he has a place and boat in copenhagen to send marcus and his photo is up in kitchens across the world and he “tells” chef terry about richie and can ask thom browne for last minute custom chef whites and I mean cicero is probably so giving with his money because it’s his nephew but also it’s carmen berzatto

#like he says he has no friends but he comes across kind and humble so he’s probably well liked among his colleagues #I mean obv he is because he has richie stag at this apparently very big deal restaurant with a and I quote ‘gangster’ waiting list #meanwhile he like didn’t even have a food safe cert or something like ?😭😭#and Luca still talks about him obviously he made mark #anyways I love the little nods to his status like…oh yeah he MIGHT be a big deal #but I also LOOVE that sydney has connections of her own #like the guy with the kitchen who jokingly tries to poach her and the very nice man who gives her the sweetest hug and advice #they are loved in some way in this world and it’s so nice to see them share that with the rest of the crew #them sending ebra and tina to culinary school and telling sweeps their pay has already been set aside #theyre a giant family with this random superstar chef and up and coming superstar chef who believe in them #family!#the bear fx #the bear season 2

I finally completed the Anju and Kafei quest 😭

#spoilers in tags no peeking if you don't want spoilers #rambles from the floor #majora's mask #peggy plays majora's mask #Peggy plays #anyways hhhwwwwwaaauugghghgh #took me forever to remember how to do the parts I'd already done I remembered only pieces #but i finally got to the last bit #I didn't know where Kafei was #I'd looked all over #but I found Anju #and she said she was going to wait for him #so I sat next to her and waited #because I didn't want her to be alone while the world was ending #and right as I was wondering if I should go look for Kafei again and running through what to try in the next cycle THE DOOR CLICKS #AND KAFEI WALKS IN #AND THEY HUG AND THEY DO THE THING AND THE MASK😭#and I hold off on crying because my siblings were watching but it was a very near thing #and I probably shouldn't be playing this game while I'm already sad/not doing great but #oh well #sniffle.#and anyway there's something weirdly comforting about mm #like it's dark and painful and terrifying #but it's cathartic #and I like that #idk

not me popping back on here with a post after months of semi-inactivity (uni is being a bitch) just to reiterate how much i love writing the pahkitew island cast.

aside from sammy and amy (obviously), literally everyone else can be shipped with one another and it'd make sense to some degree, like it takes skill to create a group of people so inherently shippable (platonically and/or romantically) and ofc the writers didn't know it they just shoved a bunch of random ppl together and dusted their hands off on it but fr tho 😭

(yeah im planning out my leonave 'stranger things inspired' au, and the gears are turning, and i forgot just how much i love writing for this dumbass group)

(i swear im working on the next chapter of a guide to surviving the apocalypse too)

#no but i've way too many ideas lmaoo #i forgot ive a whole longass post in my drafts dedicated to ramblings abt this longfic and i came across it today ahaha #like amy leading a manhunt for leonard bc shes got everyone to think he killed her sister (who she didn't even like much smh)#and topher's one of the ppl involved and when shawn hears he's like “topher? yeah i can handle him dw” (possible tophawn minor pairing??)#and leonard's abt to get the equivalent of being burnt at the stake literally #when guess who shows up in a fucking mercedes of all cars #fucking dave #and he helps leonard escape narrowly by driving fast af and leonard's so confused bc like “i thought you'd be with those guys”#and get this: dave doesnt believe leonard killed sammy bc of his vehement belief that leonard doesn't know magic LMAOOO #and leonard doesnt know whether to be affronted or grudgingly thankful bc if it wasn't for dave's desire for everything to be normal #leonard would have been part of the witch trials 2.0 #and idk who's watched st but the plot is somewhat inspired by it #like shawn goes missing first and dave as his best friend is panicking abt it (in this one axel is shawns cousin???)#and then when they find him at last the weird deaths start leading to leonard finding sammy dead and this whole situation #and theres a whole different world underneath them and its up to leonard dave ella and sky to team up and prevent certain destruction #and theres slowburn leonave (with pining leonard and oblivious dave)#and leonard lives with his uncle whos understanding of his passions (unlike his dad who basically gave him away for the same reason)#and leonard's life is total opppsite from dave's #and they both know it #and omgggg this au has been a brainrot for so goddamn long #but idk why i just got a slew of ideas for it today #and like dave stays over at leonards at one point and leonard gives him his bed (like a gentleman)#and the next morning shawn barges in like “wheres my best friend” bc ever since he was taken he's been v paranoid abt losing the ppl he lov #and he hugs dave and daves like “how dirty are you rn” and shawns like “nothing yet i waited so that i can hug you when i see your dumb ass #and everyones like abt dave to leonard “idk if he's the right one for you”#but then later on dave saves his life by going a little bit unhinged classic dave-style #and ends up scaring a nurse and receptionist into retiring early #total drama #td leonard #td dave

Flit (ginger) finds an injured, stray cat and is like "aw poor little guy... let's see if my sister can help you" and so he takes the injured black cat to Fleet. Who is then "I have no idea how to heal a cat" and turns him into a human, heals him, and is ready to turn him back into a cat but then he's just "WAIT IF IM HUMAN I CAN HELP YOU! LEMME BE A HUMAN! I WANNA HELP YOU!" and Fleet looks to Flit who shrugs since it's hard being the only assistance to his sister. So he proceeds to name the guy Eureka and now Eureka refers to Flit as "master" and Fleet as "mistress".

And obsessively tries to help them. But he also talks a lot at times and Fleet gets frustrated and turns him back into a cat as punishment and he sulks off to cuddle next to Flit... who is unfortunately much more patient than Fleet so he's now just stuck with this cat-guy-hybrid obsessed with him. And he doesn't regret /helping/ the cat but .... Eureka is really clingy. So he's just resigned to having either a black cat in his lap or a man looming over him asking "whatcha doing, Master?" at all times.

#my characters #also fun fact i guess idk these two are the flotsam and jetsam duo to fleet who is ursula based #and fleet and flit are twins who got banished from the kingdom their older bro rules bc fleet uses magic for not good #and then she is now like im going to RUIN our brothers LIFE and then gets the worst two henchmen in existence #her younger twin bro with no magic and a cat #but shes determined to be a menace regardless #also as a human eureka is like you know what the coolest thing is about humans??? sweater vests #THEYRE SO COMFY YOU KNOW? why dont you wear sweater vests master? i think youd look good in one #and flit just like i think you can wear a sweater vest as a cat too probably idk but -#and eureka is appalled that flit would ask him to overheat with fur AND a sweater vest #fleet will literally tell flit go find the other guy and flit is like did you try calling his name #and shes like no time you do it #so he walks like ten steps away and goes HERE KITTY KITTY and eureka either immediately appears to hug him #as a human of immediately rubs against his leg as a cat like I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO CALL ME IM READY TO HELP #and flit doesnt know where his life went so wrong but whatever

im a little bit tempted to watch the Elvis movies but there are. so many. and ive heard they are so. terrible. and he didn't fully enjoy making them, he just... had to do it... bc he felt like there wasn't much of an option... and worst of all they are all so painfully heterosexual and i'm sure none of the couples ever communicate with each other properly. so you just sit there ripping your hair out and shouting at the screen "WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGGG"

#but i want to get some inspiration... for my Driver/Officer K Greaser AUs...#the Elvis 2022 movie was so good even tho some things were incorrect #like. him breaking up with his first girlfriend Dixie when he became famous? that did NOT happen #Dixie broke up with HIM before he became famous because she wanted a husband who could work 9-5 and come home.#she didn't want to date somebody famous who was out doing gigs 24/7.#then when Elvis' mother passed away years later he called Dixie and she came to the funeral to support him #he wanted someone from his old life to comfort him. someone who knew him before he became a celeb.#FUNNER FACT the first time Elvis and Dixie were crushing on each other in school #Elvis was too shy to approach Dixie to ask her out so Dixie took matters into her own hands #standing in church and shouting to her friends loudly 'IM GOING TO THE SKATING RINK LATER!!!! BY MYSELF!!! CANT WAIT!!!'#'THE SKATING RINK!!! YOU KNOW THE ONE BY THE ICE CREAM SHOP DOWN THE ROAD!!! FIGHTING TO SURVIVE #and then she approached him and said uh hey do u wanna get outta here. and he was like GOD YES PLEASE #i think that story is so fucking cute #woof #oh here's another fun fact. when Dixie and Elvis were dating and Elvis was out on tours/gigs whatever #Elvis was the jealous one. Dixie did not care if women were gonna be all over him #Elvis was always asking her 'what boys are talking to you??? WHO'S LOOKING AT YOU. okay hear me out on this one. i saw this on tiktok yesterday:

and since i’ve been in such a lando mood recently, all i could think about was him and his baby…

so here’s the scenario: lando is a single dad, idk why he split up with the mother of the child but lando is sure he’s never going to find a love like that again, especially now that he has a little daughter to take care of. but seemingly out of nowhere, he meets a woman that he falls completely head over heels for, but yk how when he gets excited about things, he can forget about certain things? yeah, well, he forgets to tell you that he has a child. and then he freaks out because no way are you going to want to raise another woman’s child – but in reality, he’s worrying over nothing because of course you love kids and you’re amazing with them.

and everything moves on so quickly, lando watches his like 8-month old get attached to you instantly and he watches you take such good care of her. and then all of a sudden, his daughter is over a year old and he’s filming you teaching her the alphabet, practically melting because he’s so much in love with you both and he will cherish moments like these forever

#please tell me i’m not the only one who sees this #and like #watching you carrying her around #taking her to preschool #holding her in your arms in the paddock when he’s racing and making sure she doesn’t get scared of the loud cars #and him jumping out of his car after securing a podium finish and running up to his team waiting for him by parc ferme and #coming up to the two of you and just falling in love all over again… seeing his little daughter in your arms and hugging you both #pressing his lips to yours and realizing how lucky he is to have not only the perfect daughter but also such a wonderful woman by his side #okay im spiraling #lando does crazy things to me #oh and lando would be aching to make a new child but one that has your genes too… but that’s another story #lando norris #f1

I like to imagine that Mys is actually pretty honest about herself 😭 at least once at the beginning of their relationship Shane was having a particularly bad day and said a bunch of mean things to her.

She took them. Stood up. And then calmly, though she looked like a sad little puppy 🥺, told him well it went like-

Mys: Shane! *runs up and hugs him from behind* oh I can’t wait to tell you about what I found today. *she sits next to him and starts talking about what happened to her in the mines*

Shane:* getting more and more irritated with her by the second* fuck you’re annoying, *sighs heavily* Don’t you ever just shut up?

Mys: *goes silent*

Shane: Yoba must really fuckin hate me if he sent me you. Can’t you take a hint. I don’t want you to talk to me. I don’t want you to hug me. And I sure as hell don’t need your stupid gifts. What the hell am I supposed to do with an egg? I raise chickens, Mys. Their eggs are the same. *rolls the egg she had given him earlier back towards her but it falls into the floor*… *sighs* Now can you just leave me alone.

Mys:*staring down at the broken egg, shrunken in her seat* I’m… sorry. Um…*stands*

Shane:*drinks the beer in his hand*

Mys: that was… really mean… actually.

Shane:*turns to look at her* what

Mys: the way you just spoke to me. That was awful and my feelings are really hurt. *trying not to cry and speaking kind of quickly* you’d been pretty nice to me this past week, so I don’t know what happened to you today, but you don’t have the right to be so mean to me.

Shane:…

Mys: I’m going to go now. Have a nice night Shane.

Shane: *watches her leave* I think I just fucked up…

Emily: Oh absolutely.

#😭#he was too scared to chase after her to apologize #he went by her house the next dah but she wasn’t home then #because the guilt was eating him up he went and bought her some flowers and candies hoping to make it up to her #shane eventually had to wait in the saloon for her #when she did come in she DIDNT go hug him in fact she went straight to what would eventually be their booth and pulled out her journal #for the first time shane was the one who approached her #‘hi mys…’#‘hi Shane.’#‘I’m sorry.’#he held out the flowers and gave the messiest not thought out apology #like he was messing up his words left and right #and mys #this girlie #she just laughed at him #not in a mean way #but in a “’you’re doing this wrong but I find it endearing’ way 😭#she invited him to sit and they made up 🥺#myshane♥️

If I'm remembering correctly, I saw a AMA post on Reddit revealing Blake and Ruby were supposed to go into the whale and Nora was supposed to take Yang's place in the argument with Ren. I'm not sure why this change happened - it might have something to do with Penny and Ruby - but its very revealing the writers think their characters' roles in the story are interchangeable, which... I don't like. Regardless, this might explain why certain dialogue (or lack thereof) seems ooc - because it is.

Yeah, I heard something similar. Generally speaking I don't have a problem with the characters switching roles, only in the writers failing to change things as a result of that switch. As you say, they're treated as interchangeable. The problem isn't in the idea of, 'Yang should get mad at Ren and Ruby+Blake should stay at the mansion' (even if, honestly, giving the B Team more to do is a bit of an inherent problem imo) it's in failing to go, 'Okay, if these characters are now doing this, how does the plot and their dialogue change as a result?' To put it in extreme terms, RWBY's the kind of show where they'll originally have a character dress to the nines, then change the plot so that they wind up in grimy, scorched, utterly disgusting rags instead... and still have another character go, "Omg you look so good today!!" with complete seriousness because the change isn't allowed to have a ripple effect. Not even for creative purposes, but just for basic logic.

As a side-note, I'm intrigued by the idea of Nora getting mad at Ren instead. That hypothetically works better for me. 1. We remove some of the fuel that is Yang getting mad at everything all the time, 2. Ren is Nora's teammate and she has far more reason to be emotionally invested in his choices, 3. Having her stick up for Mantle/be anti-Ironwood again would have helped smooth over the odd choice to have her go to Atlas HQ, 4. Nora's whole arc this Volume is (supposedly) finding herself, so giving her a strong opinion/more personality in regards to serious issues is a good thing, 5. If his side was actually treated respectfully, having Ren's differing morals put a potential wedge in their relationship is FAR more compelling/believable to me than, 'You were a very bad friend and teammate off scree. I'm glad you learned to stop voicing your opinions -- that's the bad thing -- but I need space now,' and 6. Having an all JNR disagreement might add more weight and logic to Ren's "You cheated your way into Beacon!" accusation. Meaning, it all might flow better if the team were turning on each other, with Ren feeling ganged up on, so if Nora is going to start criticizing his ethics and potentially stupid choices, he'll do the same to Jaune.

With Yang I'm just like... You trusted Robyn blindly, betrayed the group as a result, are straight up lying right now about how well you've done, and are yelling at a guy you've barely spoken five words to in as many Volumes. I am not convinced by your ethical position here, Yang.
