Featuring some of the new stationery I’ve gotten over the past week! I ordered a couple of journals, some washi tape as I’ve never used them before and wanted to try it out, and also these adorable vintage travel stickers that are just so beautiful! You can put them anywhere and it’s really, really, really cute. They weren’t too expensive either and they include lots of different countries. And yes, of course, I had to make sure there was an Italy one bcs, otherwise, it would’ve been a sad day for all of us. Also, I’ve recently realized that I’ve done more online shopping during this period of time (aka the onset of my gap year) than any other time in my life and perhaps that’s something to meditate about. Anyways, I hope y’all are having a great week so far and don’t forget to breathe and forgive yourself!! 🤍✨

i did biology, chemistry & psychology at a level.

now i’m on my gap year because i deferred so, i’ll start university in 2022 !! yes, i am very excited

i will be studying arabic & english literature ba in london !

i’m multilingual as i do speak a little bit of everything.

arabic is one of my native languages which i hope to develop in university!!

after university, i hope to go into a teaching profession.

Today was my last day of classes as a junior!! I still have finals over the next two weeks and then start the summer classes I've signed up for, but I'm done with classes for the moment! This weekend my family took a break and went to the beach, it was a much needed break after staying cooped up inside all semester. I got a lot of reading for fun done on the trip. The break from a screen was really nice. Also! My all time favorite kpop group may be redebuting under a new name or releasing a special track for their 10th anniversary this month!!! Even though they've been disbanded for a few years I'm excited at the chance of new music!!

Since finishing The Alchemist, I’m now moving on to my next book which is The Notebook! The movie remains my favorite movie of all time and it’s one of the films that really fueled my inner romantic. I didn’t actually think of reading the book until recently and it was just a random thought, but the idea made me happy so I bought it and I’m very excited! Fun fact, regardless of how easy it is for me to watch the movie again, I can’t seem to do it bcs I have this life goal of rewatching it with the love of my life when we meet. I know that’s quite cheesy, but like it’s a movie that’s so close to my heart and I want to share that experience with my person, you know? It’s yearning time, folks. Also, I wanted to share with y’all the beautiful trees in my backyard that have changed colors, aaaah. I see them everyday and my heart softens everytime. As for life updates, I’ve been vibing to more Italian songs, I’m going to a doctor’s appointment today and I’m kinda nervous bcs it’s my first time going out since, uh, literally four months (it’s a lifestyle now) so wish me luck per favore, and I also watched a video abt Notion from this guy on YouTube who does videos abt languages and it’s really interesting and I’m excited to play around with it!! I hope y’all have a lovely week!! 🤍✨

Hey y’all! Here’s some old pics that I took when I was writing down my plans for my gap year on my journal and, yes, I’m absolutely in love with the stickers. Also, in the second pic, y’all can see some of the topics that fascinate me and I plan to take the online course for each of them!! When I was still in school, I was always so bored and bothered learning abt things that I wasn’t passionate about so that’s why taking these classes was one of my biggest priorities. Also, in terms of life updates, everything’s been well and my days are mostly spent doing Italian, watching vids about Italian, spending time with my family, and I plan to start reading another book soon. Also, Halloween and November are so close omg. I’ve been getting up from bed late these days which isn’t always good, but I’m improving day by day. It’s also been super rainy these days where I am and it’s even supposed to snow on Friday? That’s insane! Winter is coming, folks. I hope y’all have a calm Wednesday and taking it easy!! 🤍✨

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was spent learning the imperative tense for Italian, finishing Call Me By Your Name, trying out green tea for the first time, taking some nice walks out in my backyard bcs the weather was beautiful, and spending time with my family. By the way, Call Me By Your Name had me shook and heartbroken bcs it was such a rollercoaster ride. I have so much to say abt it tbh and I’m planning to watch the movie soon so I can see how the storyline is portrayed. There were so many unexpected things. Also I was a bit nervous to try it, but I think I actually like green tea. I’ll have to try it a couple more times. Anyways, I’ve been feeling on and off these days and have just been taking the days as it goes. My mind likes to play tricks on me a lot. I’m also starting a new book soon bcs there’s no better feeling in the world than to be engrossed in a book and finishing it; it’s like getting to know a new person then becoming friends with them. Okay, first of all, can I just say how much I love how these pictures turned out? Absolutely immaculate. I feel so grateful. When I did my two-week spiritual fast and found myself in the Buddha’s teachings, I read a lot of books about Buddhism and learned a lot and I’m still learning everyday. I also started this beautiful Buddhism journal where I take points from the books I’ve read that I want to remember, document my journey, and just compile everything about the Buddha’s philosophy and my experiences with it!! I haven’t written new entries lately since I’ve been prioritizing Italian, but I’ve been putting the Buddha’s philosophy into my way of life everyday (and forgiving myself when I mess up sometimes) and I really enjoy it so much. A lot of my beliefs and perspective of life correlates a lot with the Buddha’s teachings so it wasn’t very difficult to find a home in it. Also, Italy being purple on my treasured map of the world brings me so much joy since it’s my favorite color. I hope the universe has been treating y’all kindly! 🤍✨

Happy Friday! Can y’all believe it’s almost November like wow that’s super crazy? Anyways, a lovely thing happened these past two days and that’s the fact that I’ve recently discovered Anki and I’m now using it for Italian! I have a whole lot of decks to make and that’s what I’ll be doing today. One of my favorite parts of this gap year is discovering these new resources and experimenting with them bcs they’ll definitely be useful for uni! It started with Notion and now it’s time for Anki! They do require some learning and trials, but it’s worth it. Also, tbh, yesterday wasn’t very fun; a lot of concealed thoughts and feelings resurfaced, but I’m so proud of myself bcs, unlike before where I’d just take on the victim mentality, I looked inwards instead and realized that I’m the only one who can solve my problems and now I’m gonna work hard to fix all of them little by little. Just remember that, at the end of this, regardless of what happens, we’ll always find ourselves where we’re meant to be. I hope y’all have a relaxing weekend and remember that, at its core, life is inherently good!! 🤍✨
