I guess I should go into more detail about what my take on Hell Unohana looks like, huh?

Do ya’ll remember, during her fight with Zaraki, when she unleashed her Bankai and they were both reduced to just their skeletons?  That moment really stuck with me; I just loved that simple, gruesome imagery.  And since Hell already has a huge bone motif going on, I decided to make that appearance the basis for what my Hellohana looks like.

That is not to say she looks exactly like that, however.  Even in the only chapter we have right now, it’s pretty clear that being in Hell alters your form somewhat.  With Unohana, this means that she has sharper teeth than before, with her canines being particularly pronounced.  She has also gained a pair of oni horns atop her head.  She actually kept her hair despite her skelefication, and it allows her to hide her new horns for the most part, but you’d definitely feel them if you checked.  In addition, rather than the black shihakusho she wore as a shinigami, Unohana now wears a white funerary kimono.

There’s also the issue of Minazuki.  The one chapter we have right now confirms that those Captains sent to Hell still possess their Zanpakuto, but those Zanpakuto are also altered just as their wielders are (see how fuckin’ huge Sogyo no Kotowari is in the two whole panels we see of it).  For the purposes of this blog, Minazuki is now functionally in Bankai at all times.  However, just like Yamamoto had perfect control over every aspect of Ryujin Jakka, Unohana has perfect control over every aspect of Minazuki’s new state.  This includes the ability to change its amount and shape, of course, but it also includes a newly gained ability to alter the color of the substance that Minazuki generates.  This allows Minazuki to cover Unohana and provide her with a facsimile of all the bodily functions that she’s lost during her time in Hell.  Unohana personally doesn’t really care about her altered physical state, but she still puts on the façade whenever she leaves Hell for the benefit of those she may stumble across.

Side Note: it probably doesn’t need to be said, but Hell Arc Unohana is stronger than she was during her fight with Zaraki.  It just wouldn’t be Bleach if the arcs weren’t constantly increasing the power threshold, now would it?

Today was really really a shitty day. Got a super bad grade at one of my exams even though I revised for hours and hours. But hey, LIFE GOES ON. It happens to everyone. After all, we are all human.

So there you go, I got really inspired to write about failure because guess what? IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.

1. CHANGE YOUR VISION OF FAILURE

Yes. Change it. Failure is, by definition, a lack of success. Well have you ever realized that failure can actually be a good thing? 

Ask yourself questions: What can I do to improve? What thing can I do differently next time? How can I avoid to make the same mistakes again?

Learn from your failures and this will lead you to success!

2. TRY AGAIN AND MOVE TO WORK HARDER

Failure is okay. But take this failure as a practice and work on it. Got a bad grade in vocabulary? Rewrite exercises, revise with different methods. Failure shouldn’t bring you down, it should help you to improve by showing your mistakes so as to not do them again! But if working on the thing you failed makes you too upset, just move on to another subject and try again the next day. 

3. IT’S OKAY TO LET IT ALL OUT

Upset, angry? Let your feelings out. It’s fine. Talk to friends/family, share it on social medias, write in your journal, listen to music, whatever will make you feel better. Once you’ve had your grieving time, just don’t go back on it. It’s the past right? And the past is behind. Now time to move on and focus on the future.

4. JUST A REMINDER: ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO SOMETHING WITH THEIR LIFE WILL FAIL

How do you think singer or actress or anyone famous succeeded? Just like you, they had times when auditions went wrong, times when they didn’t get the role or didn’t get elected. It happens to everyone, even to the best of us!
