A key component of Pelvic Balance is the learning to appreciate the key differences between the male and female pelvis and its relationship to functional movement.
It is also important to acknowledge and appreciate that the pelvic floor is an ANTI-GRAVITY muscle. That means that anytime we stand up (Bipedalism) and are in this gravitational field the pelvic floor is automatically engaged.  Also, the pelvic floor is deeply connected to our feet. The stronger and more balanced our pelvic floor strength, the better able our foot to pelvic connection is resulting in the improvement of balance, agility and speed. The rhythm at which your pelvic floor contracts and relaxes is driven by the harmony of your breath. How well the body inhales and exhales and how well the diaphragm contracts and relaxes is intrinsically connected to pelvic structures. The better the rhythms the better the function of your bipedalism.

SO here are 7 WAYS TO GET BACK ON TRACK:⁣

☆ Ditch the Shame. It happens to all of us. (Sugar has been proven to be more addictive than heroin, y’all 😳🤯) Life is meant to be ENJOYED through BALANCE, and you are 100000% supposed to indulge now and then!⁣
⁣
☆ Skip the Scale. I hardly ever step on a scale anymore, the number can be effected by SO MANY small factors, and it doesn’t give you even close to a a fair assessment of your health. If you’re feeling bloated, it’s probably excess salt and water retention! ⁣
⁣
☆ Make yourself a tea or water drink that fills you up! Cravings or false sense of hunger are OFTEN from dehydration.⁣
⁣
☆ Make sure your next meal is filled with veggies. If you like to eat a LOT of food (volume eaters unite), you can do that with veggies!! Always keep snackable veggies on hand! (And guac/protein dip to dip them in.)⁣
⁣
☆ Use any extra calories as energy and go for a walk! Clean the house! Just MOVE!⁣

When my mental intake is at capacity and I’m tempted to binge my favorite show on the couch and do nothing, my favorite way to bringe but stay active is to clean and organize with Netflix on in the background. (maybe the Great British Bake Off isn’t helping the sugar cravings?) 😄🍰⁣
