- talking stage would last a long time with him. he wasn’t really looking for a relationship when you both met but as he got to know you and got closer to you, things changed for him.

- I feel like it would really take something happening to make him realize like ‘oh shit I really care about her, I want her to be mine’. it’d probably take him hearing you talk about some other guy or you just calling him out about feeling strung along for him to make the jump to dating.

- once you’ve labeled it and talked about everything and decided to be official though? he’d be so damn good to you.

- kid is goofy as hell. you’d always be laughing with him. either him saying something crazy or funny or doing something out of pocket would have you both dying.

"Everything okay?" Seungmin looks at you as you stand and study the hotel in front of you. You look at him as he gently smiles, Chan and Jisung taking care of all the belongings in the background.

"Mhm." You respond. Your eyes shift down to the arm he props out, signaling for you to hold onto it before following Chan and Jisung inside. You softly chuckle and grab onto his arm, letting him lead you into the lobby.

As Jisung mentioned, both the wedding and reception were going to take place in the garden area of the oceanside hotel. Jisung, of course, needed to be here a day before the wedding for the rehearsal. Upon entering the lobby, you see him and Chan greeting his parents, with Yuna and Yeong-Su following behind. Their eyes all shift to you and Seungmin as you get closer, Jisung's mom the first to approach you and gently take you into her arms.

"My babygirl." She says. You embrace her and hug her tightly, being that Jisung's parents were just like your own. They've popped in to check on you at the hospital and a few times post-release. You can tell they're also trying to keep it safe around you, almost like you're fragile— need to be handled with care. "I'm so happy you're here." She pulls away, cupping your cheek. "Are you doing okay?" You nod.

"I'm okay." You verbally respond just as Jisung's father is pulling you in for a hug.

"Your uncle couldn't make it?" You shake your head.

"No, he's working on a big project right now. He sends his regards, though." You make a mental note to call your Uncle Adrian later just to let him know you've made it safely. Being that he owned his own construction company, he was always on the go and working on projects around town. He was reliable, someone known for his kindness and trustworthiness. People always wanted him to be handling their projects or needs. You don't blame them— he was your mom's brother and he reminded you of her in so, so many ways. You were grateful for him and for the many ways he has provided and kept you safe, protected. You're especially grateful to have him because if you weren't going to have mom here, you at least had him— a piece of her. They shared the same attitude, values, the same gracefulness.

Both angelic and gentle.

"Well, you let us know if you need anything. Especially if he starts working up your nerves." Jisung's dad nods towards him.

"I will." You chuckle.

"Y/N." Yuna pokes out her bottom lip as she comes to embrace you. "God, it's so nice to see you and hug you. I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too."

"Thank you for coming. Seriously. I know it's a lot, but it means so much to me that you're here." She looks at you.

"I'm glad I'm here." You smile at Yeong-Su and greet him. "How can I help right now?"

"No, no. Don't you dare lift a finger. We have people taking care of everything. I just want you to relax and enjoy yourself while you're here, okay?" Yuna hangs onto your arm. "I can't believe it's here already."

"Time flies by."

"Sure does." Yuna leans her head against your shoulder. "I hope it all goes to plan."

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine, and it'll all be amazing. You'll look so, so beautiful walking down that aisle and I can't wait to witness that moment." Yuna smiles at you. Although you can't recall the moments you've spent with Jisung's family or Yuna in general, her aura is comforting. She's special to you, and you to her— that seeing her only confirms that fact that she has been someone dear and close to you. It's easy to talk to her like this, as if your body was working with its muscle memory. Though, you wish you could look back at those moments and cherish them instead.

"Thank you." There's a slight hint of worry in her eyes when she looks at you, when they all look at you, and it's a clear sign that they too, are walking on eggshells around you. Fragile, sensitive, afraid you'd crack and break into pieces any moment.

These times were trying, and you hated it when people looked at you that way. You have to constantly reassure yourself that people cared. Maybe even a bit too much, but they cared.

They believe in you, Y/N.

You aren't lost, Y/N.

That's not what this is.

"If you need me or anything at all, don't you ever hesitate to let me know. Okay?"

"Okay. Don't worry Yuna. This weekend is all about you and Yeong-Su, alright? It'll be great." She nods happily.

"Sorry to bother. Need to borrow my bestfriend so I can show her to the room?" Jisung steps in and Yuna rolls her eyes.

"You're always so selfish with her, you know that?" He scoffs.

"Woah, I'm literally just taking her to the room!"

"Share sometimes." She continues to playfully argue with him before returning her attention to you. "Get some rest. Enjoy yourself. I'll see you tonight for dinner." She squeezes your hand before reuniting with Yeong-Su and Jisung's parents.

"Ready? We're on the fourth floor." He has his duffle bag strap over one shoulder, while carrying your weekender bag by the hand. He gives you a small smile, eyes darting back to Chan and Seungmin walking ahead towards the elevator. "We're sharing a room with two beds, and Chan and Seungmin are in the connecting room. Is that okay?"

"Mhm, that's fine." You follow the three boys into the elevator. "Where's Minho going to be?" Chan and Seungmin look at you before looking at Jisung.

"Oh, he's not coming tonight. He's just gonna show up for the wedding tomorrow and stay after."

"I see."

"We should check out the bar and stuff before the dinner." Chan chimes in as he continues to scroll through his phone. "Wanna come, Y/N? No pressure."

"Hm, sure. It'll be nice to explore." Chan smiles at you. Once you hit the fourth floor, the four of you walk over to the rooms silently, Jisung dropping your bags to the floor before opening the door that joins the two rooms together. You immediately walk towards the window to look out at the view, arms crossed at your chest as you take in the way the sun bounces off of the water's surface.

"Pretty isn't it? I suggested for Yuna and Yeong-Su to get married here." You chuckle at Jisung.

"Nice choice."

"Did you get to call your uncle yet?"

"No, not yet. I'll call him in a bit." He nods.

"Want this bed?" Jisung points to the bed closest to the window and you smile at him.

"You'd give up the bed with a view?"

"Why not? All that matters to me is that you're comfortable." He shrugs. "I know all of this happened kinda last minute for you."

"It's not like that." You chuckle. "I'm glad I came along. It already feels nice to be away for a weekend."

"Good." He looks at Chan and Seungmin. "I can use their bathroom so that you have this one to yourself."

"It's fine, pachi. It's not like we haven't done this before with our families." You look at him with a certain look in your eyes, and he feels like he can relax. Jisung does worry about you, probably way more than he should, but at the end of the day, he just wants to make sure you're taken care of. It's his duty as your bestfriend, and he feels especially protective after everything you've been through. You've done so much for Jisung while growing up that he can't help but feel like he didn't do enough to keep you safe, to keep you from getting hurt, to protect you. He knows it's not his fault, but he can't help but blame himself.

He feels like he could have done more.

And with you being here—being awake, being you— he feels like he's gotten a second chance to do better. He's gotten a second chance to make up for the things he didn't do before. He'll never take that for granted ever again.

"Mmkay." He chuckles. "Well, I'm gonna go wash up before we head down." You nod before unzipping your weekender bag and gently pulling out your wedding gift. Thankfully, after some days of rest and taking it easy, you were able to finish off the vase you started for Yuna. On top of that, you were able to grab other useful items to gift the couple as well. You set the things aside before hanging up your dress and setting your heels aside for tomorrow. While Jisung is still in the bathroom, you grab your phone out of your pocket and press your uncle's number under your Favorites list. It rings for 3 times before he picks up on the other line, the construction sounds blaring in the background.

"Hey Y/N, sorry it's so loud." You can tell he's trying to walk towards a quieter place with the way the background slowly fades out. "Did you and the boys make it okay?"

"Mhm, it was a smooth ride."

"Good, that's good to hear. How is the hotel? I heard it's really nice."

"It is super nice. I saw Yuna, Yeong-Su and Jisungie's parents as soon as we got here. I told them you send your regards."

"Thank you. Yeah, I wish I could come, but this project is taking up so much of my time. We're still behind." He chuckles a bit. "You have fun and enjoy yourself, okay?"

"I will. I just wanted to let you know that we were here."

"Okay, call me later when you're free. Hopefully I'll be home and resting by then." You laugh.

"You should. Don't work too hard."

"I'll try not to. Tell Jisung and the boys I said hi."

"I will. I love you."

"I love you too." And with that, the call ends. You set your phone aside and dig through your bag again, checking to see which clothes you could change into that are more fitting for the warm weather. You pull out a simple black mini skirt and a crop top, hugging it against your chest as you wait for Jisung to finish up in the bathroom. You peek into Seungmin and Chan's room to see them lazily lying on their beds, with Seungmin the first to look up from his phone when he sees you looking in.

"Need something, Y/N?" He sits up and you shake your head.

"Do you mind if I change in your bathroom? Jisungie's taking forever."

"Go for it."

"Dude, tell him to hurry up." Chan looks at Seungmin. "I wanna grab a drink."

"Han Jisung, hurry up!" Seungmin yells from the bed as he crashes back onto it. You slip into their bathroom and shut the door behind you, hearing Chan and Seugmin constantly yelling at Jisung to hurry. You giggle to yourself as you change into your clothes, already feeling better being out of those leggings and the thick hoodie you had on.

"Where's Y/N?" You hear Jisung ask.

"She's changing in our bathroom cause you took too long."

"Oh." You hear footsteps approaching the bathroom door. "I'm sorry, cielo. You should've knocked."

"It's alright." You swing the door open, which causes Jisung to step back and quickly eye you from head to toe. "I'm ready now, we can head down."

"You look nice." You smile at Jisung.

"Thanks." You walk past him to get back to your room and drop your clothes.

"You always look nice, Y/N." Seungmin adds.

"Even in your pajamas, Y/N." Chan playfully chimes in causing Jisung to roll his eyes.

"Back off." You giggle to yourself when you hear Chan and Seungmin laughing at Jisung’s remark. They stand up to their feet when you walk back into their room, and the four of you start heading back down to the hotel lobby to explore around. On the way down, Chan and Seungmin are cracking jokes between each other that make you laugh, while Jisung picks up a call that comes through on his phone.

"Minho, yo." He picks up the call. "Yo?" He repeats. "What do you want?" You obviously can't hear Minho on the other line, but Jisung furrows his brows while listening to him. "What do you mean you don't know what to buy as a present? They have a registry. Just buy something from there or give them money so they can use it towards whatever they please." Jisung sighs. "Uh no, absolutely not a good idea to give them sex toys as a present." You chuckle, making Jisung look down at you before looking back ahead. "Dude, you're fucking gross. Do what you want. I'm telling Yuna and Yeong-Su that I had nothing to do with it." He lets out another breath. "Yeah, okay. I'm hanging up now." He lets out a laugh. "You're full of shit. Bye."

"Productive conversation, I see." Jisung shrugs.

"Dude is out of his mind. He's terrible when it comes to giving gifts."

"I'm sure he'll figure it out." It falls quiet as you continue walking towards the bar near the lobby. But for you, you're mainly wondering why you haven't talked to Minho as much as you expected to. He was your bestfriend, right?

Why didn't he say hi?

Does he ask about you as much as you do with him?

Why does it feel like Jisung is a wall between you two?

"Yo, look at this." Chan picks up the flyer at the front of the bar. "Tequila shots are only a dollar from now until 8PM."

"You're out of your mind." Seungmin laughs. "That shit is probably poison, and I'm not taking care of your asses."

"I can handle myself!" He nudges Jisung. "Let's go."

"I'm only gonna take like.. 3, my guy. I still have to rehearse, you know?"

"What better way to rehearse than tipsy?"

"Fuck you." Jisung shakes his head as he gives in to Chan. "You're really not gonna join in?"

"No, hell no. I'll stay here with Y/N and keep her safe from you two weirdos." Seungmin stands closer to you and you smile at the two. "We'll just help ourselves to some family-friendly drinks and people-watch outside." He looks down at you and you nod.

"Sounds fun to me." The boys know you aren't fond of drinking, especially after the accident. It's not like they've ever pressured you, but it's nice to have Seungmin swoop you away from Chan and Jisung's chaos just so you two could chill. Which, he does by asking the bartender for virgin pina coladas, taking the glasses over to two seats near the edge of the dining area that overlook the beach. You sit onto the stool while Seungmin doesn't waste any time with his drink. After quenching his thirst, he looks at you and gives you a toothless smile.

"Is it okay?" You nod while sipping your drink.

"It's really good!" You look at the drink in surprise. "Thanks. How much do I owe you?"

"What?" He chuckles. "Don't worry about it, Y/N. It's on me."

"Thank you, Seungmin."

"Of course." Silence. The two of you appreciate the view ahead before Seungmin breaks the silence again. "I didn't expect it to be so hot this weekend."

"Didn't pack the right clothes?" He does a head tilt while letting out a soft laugh.

"Not really, but I'll make it work. Like I always do." You chuckle before there's another pause. Seungmin feels safe. He always radiates a warm aura; someone who won't ever judge you, or make you feel stupid. Especially for what you're about to ask—

"Seungmin?" You slightly turn in your seat to look at him. "Can I ask you something?" He returns the favor by turning in his seat to face you.

"Anything."

"Is Minho really that busy?" His eyes widen at the random question, but he answers anyway.

"Um, yeah. He kinda is." He laughs a bit. "He's my roommate but I see him come and go pretty often, and I've gotten used to it. I'm sure the café is hard to manage. Why?"

"I don't know. I just.. feel the need to ask." You tilt your head and look at him. "Can I tell you something else?"

"Of course." His voice softens.

"I'm having a hard time figuring out why I feel a certain way when it comes to Minho. We were close at one point, right? So, why doesn't it feel like it? Why do I feel like I'm missing something?" You look out at the view, then back at him. "Why do I feel like he's purposefully avoiding me?" He lets out a breath. You can tell he's hesitating but he covers it up well.

He recovers well.

"I think Minho is still trying to process everything." Is all he says. "It's not anything against you, this entire thing is just hard for him. Give it some time. He'll come around." This is all he gives you.

"Sorry, I must sound stupid. I don't really know how to explain it."

"You're not stupid, Y/N. I know you are just trying to understand. And, I understand you. Don't worry." You also feel like Seungmin wants to say something else, but he doesn't. And that's because Jisung chose this very moment to rush over towards you two, arguing with Chan about their choices.

"I hate his ass." Jisung comes rushing over, pointing at a laughing Chan behind him. "He made us do five tequila shots."

"You're both glowing." Seungmin laughs. "Sure you can do it for the rehearsal?" The two of you watch as Jisung playfully pushes Chan and continues to put the blame on him and whine.

While you and Seungmin finish up your drinks, Yuna, Yeong-Su, their parents and Jisung's parents eventually come down and meet your group right before the rehearsal is scheduled to start. You laugh at Jisung's parents scolding him for getting tipsy before rehearsals— Jisung's mom clinging onto you as you all walk towards the garden area where things are set up for tomorrow's festivities.

As you sit alongside of Chan and Seungmin while watching the wedding rehearsal, you can't help but think of your quick conversation with Seungmin. With the gentle way he spoke with you earlier, you can't help but feel like you've been overthinking the entire thing and that's what you wanted to avoid while being here. It was hard for everyone to process what had happened, knowing that everyone was on the brink of letting you go, of giving you peace.

Then, to come back and change everything— to change their feelings, their mind, their decisions.

Maybe it was just you, after all.

☁︎ FLASHBACK | A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER YOU WOKE UP

Minho doesn't even know where he's going.

He finds himself running, and running, and running— in hopes he can finally escape the repeating sounds of your cries and screams.

"Fuck." He groans as he leans over onto his knees, squinting his eyes at the dull headache that is suddenly coming onto him early this morning. The sun is barely rising, the air is still cold, sharp. He drags himself over to the rail before sitting on the step— chest beginning to ache at the shortness of breath. His head falls and his breathing is the only thing he hears besides the occasional early morning chirping, cars passing by, geese dipping into the lake ahead of him.

"Knew I'd find you here." He looks up to the familiar voice, surprised at seeing his roommate standing in front of him in a hoodie and sweats.

"What are you doing here?" Seungmin shrugs and sits next to him on the step.

"Think I don't wanna get a run this morning, too?"

"Right." Minho looks straight ahead at the lake again. "Sleep is everything to you."

"Damn right. This is so fucking early."

"So, why are you here?"

"To make sure you're okay."

"Why wouldn't I be?" He's avoiding eye contact, again. Seungmin may not say much, but he notices these things. He always notices the small things.

"You haven't said much to anyone since Y/N woke up. Think it's safe for me to be worried about you." Seungmin says softly, arms lazily hanging over his knees while he joins Minho and looks out to the lake. It's quiet for awhile before Minho finally speaks up and lets out a soft sigh.

"Nothing to be worried about."

"You don't have to do that. We can talk about it." Seungmin looks at him before shifting back to the lake. "It's hard, I know it is. I say that as her friend, so I can only imagine what you're feeling right now. So let me be your friend, and let me be there for you." And honestly, that's all it takes for Minho to crack. Because he's not okay. This is hard. He doesn't know what to do.

You saw them, and there was nothing.

You saw him, and there was nothing.

Minho's head falls, and Seungmin hears the harsh crying next to him even if Minho is trying his hardest to mask it. He can hear Minho whimpering in between sobs, Seungmin's heart breaking at the sound. He gently pats his back, giving him some time to let it all out.

"I didn't think it'd be this fucking hard." He mumbles and Seungmin barely catches on. "She doesn't know any of us, she doesn't know me."

"She's scared. Give her some time, okay? We'll get her back to where she needs to be."

"No, no." Minho shakes his head as he continues to cry. "No. She's different, she doesn't know me." He repeats. "I'm so stupid. Why did I let her go that night?"

"You're not stupid."

"I am. I am." He repeats. "None of this would've happened." His crying finally slows down but he still can't bring himself to look at Seungmin yet. He lets himself calm down, crying finally subsiding as he lets out a breath and wipes away at the straggling tears. "I was getting ready to accept it. I think I did. I was ready for whatever was gonna happen next. I was at peace with it. He pauses. "Then she came back. And I'm supposed to feel relief, right?" He finally turns to Seungmin again, eyes red from all the crying.

"You don't have to feel that way right now. Understandably, it's a lot at once." Is the best Seungmin can do.

"Yeah. Because truthfully, I don't feel relieved." Seungmin sees the tears building up on Minho's bottom lids again, his lip slightly trembling. "I'm not relieved because it feels like I still lost her either way. That's the hardest part about all of this." He starts to softly cry again, and he remains silent. Quite frankly, he doesn't know what else to say to Seungmin. He's overwhelmed with emotion, but at the same time he feels so fucking empty inside. Your cries and screams are still ringing in his head, the fear in your eyes when it quickly landed on him, the boys.

He shouldn't have let you go that night.

He's so stupid.

Nothing could have prepared him for how difficult this was going to be. He feels a selfish, feels kinda like an asshole for this. But, he truthfully cannot say he feels relieved after these past few days—

In the end, he still loses you.

Whole cake island arc has the best writing in one piece. The parallels between Sanji and his father, Luffy and Sanji’s mom, the representation of trauma down to the details of body language, the string of hope and intense emotions that follows it through. Sanji being brave enough to go back and face the nightmare he went through 13 years ago when he was just a kid, a kid that had to apologise for being born ‘weak’, a kid that went through heavy abuse and trauma and found his only comfort in his mom but not for long.

Sanji being afraid to risk his friend’s lives for himself but in the end he was stunned by their determination to save him regardless the dangers they could face.

Sanji staying to save his abusing family because of the morals and values he was raised by and because of his kind heart, because as Luffy said ‘that’s how you are.’

Sanji that didn’t make a whole 360* change of his personality when he realised Pudding’s true intentions but instead still treated her respectfully and even understood her feelings when he asked her if she has been fooling herself as well. He protects her until the end and doesn’t hold a strong grudge.

Sanji that could only find happiness there with his friends and got worried sick, pacing and smoking the hell of his cigarette worrying about them, even though he tried his best to push them away for their own good.

Sanji that couldn’t convince his captain that he’s spoiled, mean and a traitor because how could the kind cook that risks his life for all his friends ever be this cruel?

The moment that absolutely crushed me was when Luffy asked Sanji ‘what do you want?’. That cute blond is always putting a show of hiding his emotions and placing others before him so you can imagine the intensity of his emotions when he was asked this question and admitted that what he wanted the most right now was to get back to the sunny.

Themes of love which prove that it cannot be faked but only developed when one is true to another. We have pudding who had also gone through a difficult childhood, paralleling somehow Sanji’s struggle in fitting in and being called the ‘odd one out’. When she’s complimented for something she’s been ashamed of her whole life, her demeanour falls and it’s shocking for her to hear such a thing, especially from the men she’s trying to assassinate.

It’s surprising how well Pudding encrypts Sanji in the first meeting, describing him as a wonderful man, he has lovey-dovey eyes but he’s gentle, he has twirly eyebrows but he’s kind. Her falling in love with him was inevitable for they share the same passion of cooking, but also the same need to be accepted as they are.

I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t have this arc in their top 3 favourites because wow, this arc makes you cry, laugh, reflect and realise by seeing how Sanji made a step towards making peace with his past, realising that he can rely on his friends and not take everything upon himself to carry. Realising that he’s important, he’s enough, and that that kindness of his is a trait resembling a treasure to be kept sacred and loved forever more.

ANYWAY.

I imagine he's hard to get through to. I see a lot of myself in his personality, especially back in highschool, so I can pretty accurately describe what's up in his mind.

He hates himself. Thoroughly. Cannot stand himself. Every time he looks in the mirror, he can't recognize his own face. He's too much, he's not enough, he's nothing, he'll never be Right. Any compliment slides off of him like water. He doesn't believe you. He disassociates often. His reality is warped, in his mind, to always be against him.

So naturally, he smiles it away. He pretends he's better than everyone else. Because he's terrified of telling anyone he's... not. Telling anyone that he's trapped in his own "skin" and he hates it.

Yknow that Springtrap frame where he's tearing apart his own head? Yeah Spamton would try it, at least once.

He's a failure in a city that only cares about success. About how much you're worth. He definitely has trauma from his Addison days, as well as when he was bullied in the mansion. His friends and possibly family left him. He's uh. Really lonely.

He thinks kindness is a weakness to exploit. To manipulate. Because that's what happened to him. He isn't mean per se, but he doesn't go out of his way to be nice either. Not to mention the one person he put his trust into kinda fuckin disappeared. He isn't exactly jumping at an opportunity to "make friends"

He's clinging to his old fame like a fucking lifeline. Because acknowledging himself Now would break him. A puppet tied up in strings. He's not even in control of his own life. He values choices so much, he can't help giving them out like candy. "Choose this thing, it's your choice I won't force you, but choose it."

All that being said, he's also just. Happy to have fun, I think. I read a fic where he constantly tries to jumpscare Reader when they visit. I love that. The idea of him playing pranks on.. well, his would be friends, is really cute to me. I doubt he would do something as extreme as dunking them in acid or anything, but tripping them or scaring them feels like something he would do.

An important thing ppl tend to miss is that he wants people to Suffer, but not to Die. He gets mad in snow grave because you ruined the fun. You killed everyone And you're stealing the fountain? What's he supposed to do afterwards?!? He wants to rule the city, not destroy it.

I feel like, after peeling away his walls, he's generally a silly guy. And seriously loyal. I mean, he's Still protecting Mike's name, even after supposedly Years of not seeing him. He's ride or die for anyone he cares about. And those people get to see him be a bit goofier.

There's like. 7 million more things I want to say but I am. Tired of typing on my phone 👍

I realized I've never actually made these two a friendship moodboard and that!!! Will not stand, dammit!!!

Anyways their S1 dynamic was/is so important to me. Cute lil idealist Miguel truly believing Johnny Lawrence can solve all problems and cynical defeatist Demetri who has the only brain cell and is like "hey, this dude shat on my other best friend for something he can't help, embarrassed me for trying to defend him, AND I had to pay him??? At least I don't gotta cash out to Kyler." Dude's got a point, honestly. I'd get hazed out of Cobra Kai SO fast, and my parents would be like "thank god, those lessons were expensive" XD Demetri bby never let anyone shame you for making financially smart decisions that are also good for your mental health!!!

And the subtext of Demetri kinda trying to look out for Miguel and steer him away from idolizing this disaster man who peaked in high school??? Like I think I mentioned this on a previous post, but the way he tries to give Miguel the wake-up call Demetri thinks he needs and encourages him not to bend over backwards for people who (at least from what Demetri's seen!) don't treat him or people in general very well is kind of adorable. Like of course Demetri's being cheeky and smug and sarcastic about it, but he's basically saying that Miguel deserves better than Johnny and should respect/value himself a little more!

And Miguel, my beautiful hopeful babygirl Miguel Diaz <3 <3 <3 Like he believes in Demetri's potential long after Demetri's clearly given up on himself??? And tbh I've never read this scene as Miguel being annoyed Demetri trusts Miguel to protect him from bullies (like that's what you do for your friends lmao. And Miguel would in a heartbeat if he needed to because he's a loyal mf!!!). If anything, he seems worried about what Demetri's gonna do when he's not around and can't scare Kyler off and frustrated that Demetri's just dismissing his own potential that fast. Miguel clearly has 0 issue looking out for Demetri when the cards are down, considering how he talked to Johnny about Kreese punching him and readily sided with him after the Arm Break Incident.

Also something I've already mentioned in other posts, I'm sure, but the fact that a) Demetri completely trusts Miguel to protect him from bullies and implies he would do so with no hesitation and b) they're close enough friends after a few months max that they can comfortably walk with their arms brushing and casually give each other little affectionate platonic touches (most notably this little shoulder slap thing they do) is the cutest fucking thing on earth. This friendship is so slept on. Like every time I think about them I wanna cry because they're so fucking ride or die and they've easily had the most wholesome, loyal, and unproblematic friendship in the entire show and WHY aren't more people talking about them??? Any disagreements they have really ARE in the vein of "ugh you're so wrong never talk to me again for 10 minutes but then I have karate gossip I wanna tell you." I love them so much.

THEY ARE BESTIES YOUR HONOR

An argument could also be made that these two have a closer and healthier friendship than Miguel & Eli ever did and I ain't kicking that hornet's nest today but perhaps I will someday :3

I love your analysis of Mahito! How does he view each one of the disaster curses (Jogo, Hanami and Dagon)?

Thank you! I'm very flattered to hear. ^^ I appreciate your inquiry, friend.

I love the disaster curses and intend to have them as side muses/NPCs with Mahito being the main on this blog. So this is a very fun ask to get.

Jogo is the one he tends to bully the most due to him being very temperamental. While Mahito doesn't necessarily agree with some of his views, they agree on the main things and share a mutual displeasure towards humanity. Their goals are in sync, even if the means of achieving them end up differing.

I think there's something valuable in knowing that Mahito bothers Jogo frequently, like the little worm he is. Why? Because he knows he can get away with it. Not because Jogo is a pushover by any means, but because the other is far older and understands tolerance is important in the long game of their plans. Mahito knows he can bother Jogo and not be at risk to lose him as an asset.

That being said, I think he does genuinely feel enough attachment to like Jogo as a friend. Or whatever a curse can consider to be a friend. He listens to Jogo, even if he doesn't always agree or heed his words. He will listen and consider and provide back his own thoughts. Yes, he can be a little shit, but the fact he's willing to hold a conversation without being manipulative (like he is with humans) just highlights he holds Jogo is a pretty high regard. He likes Jogo's disposition, his intelligence, his anger is cute, he loves annoying him because he's so reactive to everything.

I also have a personal headcanon that Jogo has contributed a lot to Mahito's knowledge on the world, even if it's just through stories. He hits in a zone for me similar to Geto, neither are father figures (thank fuck) but they are a mix between friends and mentors to Mahito. I imagine with Jogo's age that he has a lot of stories that Mahito would like to hear, ponder and converse about. Jogo isn't stupid even if he is stubborn, but that intersection makes for Mahito viewing him as fun. Also hot spring trips.

Hanami he holds a lot of respect for, even if he doesn't agree or understand entirely why they began as such a pacifist. I think they are the one to humor him the most out of the three, even if they may struggle to keep up with Mahito they are there nonetheless.

I feel like the two of them as similar outside of their goals in one particular area: curiosity. Despite Hanami being older, they listen to Mahito's advice and truly believe in him and what he represents to curses and humans alike. They are curious on each other, the meaning of curses and their general outlook. Their willingness to ride or die, take suggestions and consider them in order to become a curse that can carry out this goal is something worth admiring. He doesn't tend to fuck around with Hanami compared to Jogo or Geto, and if anyone gets treated like an actual comrade - it's them. If anything, due to how much he likes Hanami, he's a bit more protective over their well-being.

I like to think out of all three, Hanami knows Mahito best and likewise, I feel like Mahito knows Hanami best in turn. If anyone can calm Mahito down, it's probably them. He has a high opinion of them, their power, their discussions and solidarity as comrades. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was Hanami that contributed to Mahito feeling value towards his own kind just by watching how they regard Dagon.

Speaking of Dagon, our big baby. Mahito I think has two mode with him. Completely vibing with zero thoughts in head or being super perplexed by Dagon just... doing Dagon things. I also feel like if he bullied the little guy half as much as he does Jogo (or even Hanami, because let's be real - Jogo has it the worst) his ass is going to get sent into orbit by Hanami themselves.

Baby mode Dagon, which is all Mahito knew him by, is the gentlest thing he has ever experienced. Especially as a curse - but let's not just limit it to that. If Dagon wasn't a curse, he probably would have lol'd and crushed him. But because he is that has stayed his hand and, well, gave Mahito insight to how fragile something can be. Like humans are fragile. Sure, he plays with them cruelly in comparison but he knows better. Is what I headcanon, at least.

I think one of Mahito's favorite things to do is just hangout with Dagon on the beach/float in the ocean together. Sometimes he'll speak about things he read or his activities but usually Dagon is the one he goes to for quiet company. Their relationship is a vague one since Dagon is still in baby mode, but nonetheless Mahito is very excited to see just what kind of curse he becomes.

I kind of imagine Dagon adopted Hanami's perspective a bit in how he views Mahito - looking to him as someone to heed words from. I also like to imagine when Hanami was watching over Jogo squaring off with Gojo, that Mahito likely played a role in keeping Dagon less stressed just by being confident in his comrade's abilities to survive. I think Mahito serves as kind of an anchor. Where Jogo and Geto could be consider friend-mentors, I think Mahito is that for Dagon.

As manipulative as, his childish curiosity and intelligent understanding of things comes together to make for a fun intersection. He doesn't really know what to do with Dagon, so he just vibes. But he's excited for the prospect of what he becomes, too. Unlike with Junpei, I think Mahito really believes in the same words he spoke to the kid - about eat when you're hungry, if you're mad kill someone then. That Mahito will support him, except in this case it's Dagon he genuinely is supporting. I like to view that whole scene as something he would possibly say to Dagon (the general gist, at least) but the difference is, speaking it to Junpei was a half truth and manipulative af whereas with Dagon it's a sincere thing to highlight the difference in how he views humans vs how he views curses.

A lot of that is just my own headcanons from this worm living in my brain, though.

All in all, I think Mahito considers these three specifically as his gang. I can see him viewing them all as fun individuals in different but comfortable ways. Enough to keep them in high regard when compared to anyone else, at least. He's always going to be a selfish little prick but at least his desire to elevate curses was sincere, which leads me to believe he is capable of possessing enough affinity for his own kind to like the three of them in his own genuine way.

Minato's Laundromat Season 2 Midseason(ish) Check-In

Okay, I am going a bit in reverse, but I desperately want to talk about this scene, first, and then we'll backtrack through the season so far. The main conflict of this episode is the ramping up of the fear/insecurity of Akira, and Shintaro's jealousy. After seeing Shintaro with Dr. Kirihara (who took care of Shintaro when he injured his back) Akira starts to become concerned that perhaps their relationship isn't just doctor-patient. And I'm not fully certain if it's that he thinks Shintaro liked the doctor first, but that it was unrequited, so he 'settled' for Akira, or if he thinks there is an actual romantic relationship happening, and that Shintaro is just not breaking up with him (for whatever reason). And we also see a bit of more focused jealousy from Shintaro in relation to Akira and Dr. Kirihara. But I think the most important scene we've had this season is Shintaro and Akira sitting down for a meal after Shintaro introduces him to Dr. Kirihara as his boyfriend.

It's the very first time that we see that distinction made in public to another person, and Akira is upset by it. I do empathize with Akira about feeling both caught off guard, but also nervous, in this situation, because we are all well aware of the daily violence and discrimination that queer people face. In that moment he's not considering that Shintaro wouldn't have said it if he thought the doctor was someone he couldn't trust, and it's entirely possible that Shintaro had already confided in the doctor regarding his sexual identity in the past. But that's not something Akira would have known. After this encounter/conversation, they're arguing about it over dinner. Akira feels uncomfortable about being introduced that way, he's worried about public perception, but Shintaro isn't concerned about the thoughts of others, he's proud to have Akira as his lover, and if he could he'd tell the whole world. Neither are particularly right or wrong in this situation, which is often the case in life, but more they are not willing to bend and compromise, Akira moreso than Shintaro, but both are still being quite stubborn. Shintaro does make a pretty funny joke about growing pains, at least I thought it was funny, in reference to Akira's consistent resistance to progressing their relationship in any manner., and it's made not to be dismissive, but to try and break the tension.

In an attempt to kind of end the fight Akira begins to compliment Dr, Kirihara, he's handsome, kind, responsible, etc., I think in an effort to express that he understand why Shintaro would form a friendship with him, but it sadly backfires. He specifically calls out that he's 'true adult' which is an area where we know Shintaro feels particularly sensitive about. He's consistently concerned that Akira see him as a child, and so he works very hard to be mature and showcase that he is responsible and can be a trustworthy and valued partner. He insinuates to Akira, that perhaps he(Akira) would prefer the doctor over him(Shintaro), which Akira denies.

Akira then asks Shintaro to list 10 reasons why he wants to be with him. And so he does, quickly, with little thought, he numbers off 11 reasons (cute laughing face, cute crying face, sexy voice, beautiful eyes, very caring, many vulnerabilities, but also well protected, hospitable, constantly changing attitudes, always willing to be helpful, likes to do things by himself). And some are silly, but some are incredibly insightful, and show how much interest and attention Shintaro pays to Akira. But when Shintaro asks Akira the same questions, all Akira can come up with is that he's handsome, which while true, would certainly be disappointing to hear from a partner as your only attractive trait. And this is what worries me. Akira does say that Shintaro caught him off guard, and he couldn't think on such short notice, and that's certainly understandable, but it's still giving very much "What else is there?" (Akira could certainly benefit from a sincere conversation with Lord Rogers for sure.)

And this is the scene where I start to get specifically concerned, because I'm of course worried about all of the characters emotional well-being, that's the point of the show, but for Shintaro in particular, while he may not hold back his emotions to the level that Akira does, he's still very much keeping the true depth of his feelings under guard. So in this moment where he's truly vulnerable with Akira, and Akira not only doesn't reciprocate, but also almost diminishes those feelings, he's dealing a pretty significant blow to Shintaro. In any relationship it's uncomfortable to come to a realization that you are more in it than the other person. That you consider their feelings more, or pay more attention to their likes/dislikes, that you simply listen and observe more. It becomes especially upsetting to see that effort dismissed, on top of little to no effort on the part of your partner to do such things for you. I can easily imagine the hurt Shintaro feels at not only being reduced to only his looks (even if unintentionally) but to also have it made clear that all of the effort he makes goes unnoticed and unreciprocated.

Before you all accuse me of being only on Shintaro's side, I will pause here to talk a bit about what he can work on. While I will easily admit that I give him a certain amount of leeway based on his age AND the fact that we do see him actively working towards self-improvement, there are still some areas where progress can certainly be made. Top of that list is his occasional callousness and dismissiveness in regards to Akira's feelings. We see this in the dinner conversation in his response to Akira's concern over being called his boyfriend, and his reaction to Akira's fear of being 'outed' to community members who have known him since he was a child. I do think that this is a combination of things, one being that Shintaro has a certainty that he is right about those fears being un-founded (that stubbornness again). Another is I think related to their generational gap and difference in experience, Akira has simply been alive longer and lived other places, giving him more insight into the potential discrimination they could face both as a gay couple, but also as an age-gap couple. Finally, I do think these reactions are slightly intended to diminish Akira's feelings in a non-vicious way. And what I mean by that, is it's an attempt by Shintaro to express that Akira is letting these fears be bigger than they should be, that he's seeing a tiger where there's only a housecat. The other thing that Shintaro could definitely work on is his jealousy. And while this is an emotion that both of them experience, Shintaro's slightly more confrontational nature makes it a bit more dangerous for him to fall victims to the green-eyed monster. You can see genuine hurt when Akira realizes that Shintaro believe him capable of cheating, and he doesn't know how to calm that fear.

Now that we've addressed that, I will do a quick rundown on the season thus far. Have I posted much about this show on here? IDK. But I did really enjoy season 1, and I thought the age gap was handled pretty well. Would I prefer it 1. Not be so large of a gap, and 2. the younger partner not be in highschool at the beginning? Yes. But those issues aside, I think it was handled as appropriately as possible.

Back to my point. I was very excited to learn we were getting a second season, as I kind of felt like the ending of season one felt a little unfinished. Yes, Akira and Shintaro were now a couple, but there was still a bit of a feeling of loose ends. And returning for season two, I feel like there's also a little bit of a back step that happened. Or perhaps not even that, but more that there seems to have been no progression in their relationship in the time between the seasons, which is supposed to be a few months.

We start season 2 with Shintaro fully engaged in university, while Akira continues work at the laundromat, and things appear to be going well, but with their busy schedules, Shintaro feels a bit like they don't have enough time together. So his plan is to move in with Akira, which Akira denies immediately, instead placing him in the empty apartment next door. There's clear hesitation on Akira's part for them to move too quickly physically, and most often Shintaro is the the initiator of any romantic physical contact. Now, the pace you move as far as physical relations in a romantic relationship is up to each and every couple based on the comfortability of the participants, so I have no issue with this. But we are given insight into Akira's thoughts, and his resistance is not based on lack of desire, or nervousness, or even as far as we know lack of experience. It's solely based on the fear of falling too deeply for Shintaro and the possibility that because Shintaro is young, he may one day change his mind and leave Akira heartbroken. Now does this seem like a bit of an extreme reaction for a 30-ish year old man? A little, but we do have to consider that we learned in season one that Akira had literally been in Shintaro's place before. He had been in love with his teacher, and had even confessed to him, but now a decade later he's found love with someone else. Putting aside the fact that Akira never had a real relationship with that teacher, which is one factor in how he was able to let go of that relationship, it was still his first love, which is not a feeling or situation a person ever truly forgets. And as an adult now, with the knowledge that first loves rarely become only loves, I think he's looking at Shintaro, and he's not able to overcome the fear that in 10 years, Shintaro will think of him fondly, but be with someone else.

On the opposite side, Shintaro in a pretty hefty bit of self perception, recognizes that their age difference and that his potential immaturity could be a reason for Akira's hesitance, and so he begins a campaign to show that he can be an equal and valuable partner in their relationship. He actively makes meals, works to be a good communicator. He keeps flirting, he doesn't let Akira forget that he not only likes him as a person and cares about him, but that he's attracted to him. And while he's not subtle about it, he's also not overly pushy.

Moving further, we get to meet Akira's parents (who were adorable) and it becomes clear that Akira is at least not openly out to them, and I'm pretty sure based on context that Akira is not out in any fashion. They inform him that they are going to be renovating the apartment building that Akira and Shintaro are currently living in, and while that's happening he can live in their house outside of town. When they find out Shintaro is living in the apartment next door, they encourage Akira to take him as well, since the renovations/rebuilding are happening at short notice, so it's the least they can do to minimize the disruption. This again causes anxiety in Akira, as he's already struggling with his emotional and physical feelings for Shintaro, and he knows things will become more difficult for him if they're in the same house and around each other even more frequently. This is kind of where I start to get a little frustrated with Akira. I do truly understand his hesitancy, but I also recognize the potential harm that the emotional distance can create. It starts dancing into self-sabotage territory. If he stays distant, Shintaro will eventually become fed up with it, will stop trying, and will move on, so it all becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

As we move into episodes 3 and 4, we see a lot more closeness and acceptance between Akira and Shintaro, specifically, when they're alone at the house, it's easier for Akira to allow more skinship when there's no chance of being seen, I think. This is confirmed when they go to a festival in town (looking absolutely precious in traditional yukatas) and have a really good time, but Akira gets nervous to be seen holding hands with Shintaro. When Akira has the concern that Shintaro might actually be ashamed to be seen with him, so he does some research and buys some new clothes. This is a positive move forward, in that it shows that Akira not only has his own ability to self-reflect, but also that he cares enough to put time and effort into being a partner Shintaro can be proud of.

Now we're fully caught up to the episode which came out today (8/2/2023). There's a lot more work and communication that needs to be done by both of them over the next 7 episodes, but both of them do genuinely have the foundation of love and affection that make it possible. They just need to take that leap of faith.

Movie Amy Rose , by someone who has only ever seen the movies, fanart, and three video essays:

What do I know about Amy? She's a bubbly, cute, adventure seeking, Sonic obsessed, tarro card wielding hedgehog of bright pink proportions. She often gets left behind, but is determined to prove herself and protect her friends. Adorable as she is, her hammer isnt and she isn't afraid to use it. While her friends are caught up in saving the world, she's there to take care of the little guys on the ground and doesn't lose sight of who their fighting for. Her mystical tarro cards are what brought her to Sonic, and since then she's been his number one fan, harboring a not so subtle crush on the blue blur. She's a talented cook/ baker who wants to open her own bakery someday. There's some theories (canon? I'm not sure) of her being able to sense Chaos energy, which is how she always knows where to find Sonic.

All around a very bright character who I think has a lot of potential in the Movie Universe.

First off, how would she join the team? Most likely she'll have heard about the epic Robotnic fight and how Sonic used the Master Emerald to save his family. In awe, she travels to earth to meet this hero. The idea I like better is that she (assuming she CAN sense Chaos energy) gets massive signals from earth due to Super Sonic and comes to investigate. This would immediately establish her as a determined, thrill seeking girl looking for adventure and would play into her wanting to join Sonic. Seeing Sonic as a means of adventure from a presumably boring life would explain her fast and furious crush on him

Whether or not she'll be well received is difficult to say. Movie Sonic seems a little less brass than game Sonic, so will probably try not to be rude or ditch her, but since her being left behind seems an important staple of her early character, it's not something the writers can completely cut. What's more likely is that Sonic won't be confident in her ability to take care of herself and would want her to stay behind for safety.

Her role may partially be a "prove yourself" sort of deal where she, having been left behind while Team Sonic deals with Shadow, strikes out on her own, determined to help and be apart of the story. After all, she came for adventure and to help Sonic, and is going to do so whether he likes it or not. In doing her own thing to help the conflict, she proves herself a valuable member of the team.

While she could do that by going in and kicking butt in a fight, it'd be cool if they drew on another major part of her character: taking care of the people that get overlooked when the world ends. I believe she helps this little floaty thing escape capture and reunites it with its family in one of the early games, even though she didn't have to and doing so put her in danger. This willingness to help others turns especially useful in-game as she talks Shadow into helping. Her playing a similar role in the movie would be a fantastic way to show her strength and value as a character while staying true to her established traits. It's shows the power of compassion and empathy and how a kind gesture can win a war punching can't.

This kind of character is very important for the team as they really come into their own as heros. Just like Tom learns that protecting his friends and family means more to him than proving himself as a big city cop, Amy serves as a reminder that taking care of those "little guys" is why they're fighting evil. Not forgetting the friends they're defending while they fight bigger and bigger foes will fit nicely into the established themes of family in the Sonic cinematic universe.

As far as representation goes, I think she has the potential to be a fanstatic role model for girls if the writing team does her character justice. Showing girls female characters who don't need no man and can take care of themselves is important, but so is showing all the other unique types of women out there and how each are strong and capable. Though I am Down to see Amy play whack-a-hoe with her hammer, keeping her character's strength in kindness and compassion (and the value that has on the plot, team, and characters) is infinitely more impactful. She's a perfect character for SEGA to demonstrate how a strong female character doesn't have to be a cut throat drill Sargent at all times, and that great power lies in a helping hand.

Apart from a gentler approach in character, I'd be thrilled if they kept her girly in appearance and speech like she is in the game. Love seeing characters decked all out in ribbons and bows while carrying massive hammers that make Thor cry.

Though I didn't grow up with this character, I have high hopes for seeing how she grows into an amazing on screen girlboss. The writers have done an amazing job of doing right by Tails and Knuckles, completely rectifing the recent decline in quality from some Sonic games. Saving those two allows me to put faith in them that they'll take care of Amy the same way and won't reduce her to a background character at best, annoying Sonic fan girl at worst.

Amy Rose has so much potential to be a unique and compelling character who can add so much to the team and story. With any luck we'll have this amazing girl back in business by the time Sonic 3 is half way through.

This is ALL opinion, and I'd love to hear yours!! Obviously I've never edited played the classic games, but she's a character who caught my attention when I entered the fandom and one who I can't wait to see on the big screen!

Skate to the Heart: A HPHM Winter Romance Story

Hello everyone! I originally wrote this MC x Penny fic for @ariparri's #winterdays event on the HPHM Amino. I had a lot of joy writing it and I really hope you all have as much reading it! 😊

Introduction

I mainly ship my HPHM OC with Penny Haywood. I have Catenny and Reesewood as nicknames for them. As this story will be about their romance, here is some background on both of them:

Penny was an independent young woman with a strong will. While she was popular and no stranger to gossip, she had grown to not let anyone’s personal drama get to her. She wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself and be protective of her friends and family. While her protectiveness and empathy for others could make her emotional and lose her train of thought, she always persisted through tough times at Hogwarts. Penny was also kind, compassionate, and thoughtful. She gave off warm and reassuring vibes to others, and valued loyalty, respect and honesty in relationships, as well as bravery.

Cato was quiet, reserved and usually stayed outside of events or dramas that didn’t directly concern him. He only got involved with the Cursed Vaults out of his loyalty and concern to keep Hogwarts and his friends safe. To those he opened up to, one could recognize that by heart he was passionate, altruistic, affectionate, smart and logical.

Both Cato and Penny were similar yet different people. Yet it was both of their similarities that helped them get along and compliment each other. She was more extroverted while he was an introvert with some extroverted tendencies. They shared many traits and reciprocated their feelings for each at many points through time. In their romance, they were affectionate with each other and greatly valued the time they had for themselves. It was important to both Cato and Penny that they played both equal 50/50 parts in their relationship. If they were in trouble, they would work as a team to overcome their obstacles.

The Story

Mighty winds carried vast clouds of snow over the village of Hogsmeade as the 1990 Christmas holidays approached. This was the last holiday break that Cato Reese would have. He was a seventh year student with his future plans of becoming an auror already in place. His main priorities were his friends and schoolwork. The Cursed Vaults and Rakepick were now behind him, and R didn’t concern him as much anymore. They were still active, but they had been exposed and the Ministry led by Mad-Eye Moody was investigating them. Cato felt that the reins were better off in the aurors’ hands now the vaults no longer threatened Hogwarts. He wanted a seventh year that was normal and calm.

For this final holiday break, he elected to stay at Hogwarts with his friends and Penny. They were glad to be able to once again enjoy Christmas, safe from outside interlopers. Penny was also staying so that she could celebrate it with Cato. Both of them loved their own families, but they were becoming adults. They looked at the winds of change as an opportunity to start building a life they both could cherish together.

Penny had a surprise for her beloved. The Black Lake was frozen over and it was big. Her gift to Cato were implements that would be perfect for conquering the ice. It was important to her that she made her moments with Cato memories that they could always look back on with sweet reverence and fondness. In November, her parents bought the gifts for her and Cato. Her plan was to present them shortly after school let out for the season.

Throughout the final classes before break, she couldn’t wait to finally share the surprise with Cato. A day or two into it, she ran to him while in the corridor. “Cato! Now that we’re on break, I can finally show you something I got for us!” He replied “Awesome, what is it? She giggled and said “No time, Cato! Follow me, cute one! Penny took his hand and led him out of the greenhouse.

They ran briskly back into the castle, toward the underground kitchens where the Hufflepuff common room was. When they arrived, she told Cato “Just a couple seconds, I got to get them from my dorm.” Penny did the sequence to enter the common room. She winked and gave him a wave and a smile.

His mind had no clue what her surprise could be. However they had known each other all throughout their Hogwarts education. They trusted each other dearly and had zero reasons not to. He patiently awaited her to emerge from the Hufflepuff common room, jittering a bit from the intrigue and excitement. Then he heard rapid footsteps and Penny darted out of the common room, holding two pairs of ice skates in her hands. She energetically told him “Guess what?” Cato responded “Ice skates?” Penny went “Aha! Well reasoned, Cato! I bought these for the both of us. They’re in our house colors. Mine are yellow, and yours are blue! I couldn’t think of anything better!” He was mesmerized.

"Wow, Penny, this is…” He paused for two seconds. “This is wholesome! I couldn’t think of any better words either. Thank you so much!” Penny warmly smiled “You’re absolutely welcome! Merry Christmas, Cato!" He replied "Merry Christmas to you too, Penny!" She grinned and laughed "We can never be too old to enjoy ice skating!” She tossed him the blue skates. “C’mon, off to the lake!” The two were off and running together to the frozen lake at once.

When Cato and Penny reached the shores of the frozen Black Lake, they beheld a spectacle. It was like a winter wonderland come true. The highland was healthily covered in pure white snow. Clouds of the same kind were scattered in the sky, but the blue held equal soaring as snowflakes danced and twirled in the wind. The sun was at full strength and its rays pierced through the clouds. An eager Penny shouted “Wait for it!” She dashed onto the ice, which was clear and bright as a mountain lake reflecting the tallest peak. She stopped and spinned in the middle, facing Cato. Penny hollered out “It’s all good now, Cato!” He returned the call “On my way!” Donning his blue ice skates, he spirited across the frozen plane towards her. Penny held her arms out as he approached her, doing the same. They joined together in an embrace, holding each other for support on the ice.

Face-to-face, Cato and Penny could only see each other in their eyes. He spoke up “Everything points to only one thing. This is our moment, Penny? She replied affectionately while blushing “Aww, Cato! You’re very smart! Only us, okay?” He nervously smiled and nodded. They then shared a kiss. Once both had pulled out, Cato and Penny were looking at each other with red cheeks, smiling at each other with tears in their eyes. “It’s getting too cold for us out here, Cato. Why don’t we go back inside the castle and warm up with some cocoa?” Penny asked. “Aww why not, I’d love that!” Cato replied. She chuckled “We’re both gonna need it now! Let’s get inside and get warm, cute one!” Hands held together, Cato and Penny skated back to the shores and returned to the castle for hot cocoa.

Ok, this one was so easy. It's interesting because you could bond easily through the things you mentioned like music, dance, drawing, movies etc (also not the scary ones, this gets the seal Wooyoung approved, like, have you seen him? He can't deal with anything horror). But I also see how you are a bit of opposite in other things like, the size of your friend group.

It's a known fact Wooyoung is a social butterfly, he gets along with everyone easily and he has quite a lot of friends in his social circle, but his ride-or-die friends are few like yours. I don't think that would be a problem because you don't have to mesh with them if you don't want to, but I feel like it's important to him that everyone gets along well when everyone is together.

Unlike you, Wooyoung is pretty much himself since the get-go, the difference is the level of information he's willing to share about himself when he just met someone. He's also not the one to trust easily, for a completely different reason (being a idol, of course). So he wouldn't have a problem with you being more reserved, since he would be too, but it would be hard to see it.

He's also the louder one in the room always, he knows how to keep the conversation going if you have trouble with that and one of his abilities is to make people socially comfortable around him.

He doesn't mind this "shallow friendship", more like casual friendship, where you don't reveal much about yourselves nor talk about a lot of private things, until you can trust each other to open up. He's right there with you in this one, he rather likes it more that way.

He doesn't do it often, nor with everyone for sure, but he's able to have mature and deep conversations, also he doesn't have a problem expressing himself and he also has a lot of social and emotion intelligence. He knows what he's feeling and how to deal with it, but he's also aware of others too.

All of your others points for a guy is the definition of Wooyoung. Sweet, kind, considerate like yes, as a friend and for sure as a boyfriend too. He knows how to balance the fun and seriousness. Also you ask for flirty?? Again, have you seen him???

The thing with him is he teases a lot, it's almost a love language so just don't take that personally, he's just joking around, but he has his sweet moments too (also he definitely matches your love languages!).
