West End Cast Change
Alright lots of exciting news today. I was going to reply to asks individually but looks like they're all like the same few questions so for convenience....megapost. Principal costumes/general notes - The principal costumes have been standardized for a while now and shouldn't have any significant design differences. - The UK has been standardizing the boots to all be one thick strap (two buckles) with the exception of Cleves who of course gets the thigh highs. - Reca Oakley and Gabriella Stylianou are both returning from former NCL contracts. They should both get new costumes. Gabriella's is rather old now and doesn't match the style of any other current Seymour. Reca's is fairly standard for the North American/NCL productions, but it isn't rigged for the Cleves reveal which means she should get new. Swing costumes The incoming swings have been announced as - Meg Dixon-Brasil for the West End - Natalie Pilkington as universal, which means she'll be based in the West End but travel to the UK Tour to provide coverage as needed The very obvious costume assignments are that Meg gets silver and Natalie gets black. The current UK Tour does not have anyone in black alt, which allows Natalie to seamlessly go back and forth without any concerns about duplicate costumes. Those assignments are also flattering on each of them, respectively, and Natalie was previously black alt during her time as UK Tour swing (and Bliss 1.0 even before that). As for what costumes Natalie will wear....she does have a previous black alt costume that she wore for the UK Tour. It was a reused top, reused shorts, new pants, and new Cleves zippered jacket (non-reveal). She'll likely wear that, reusing a few of those pieces but get replacements here and there. Probably gets an Aragon/Howard skirt as well. I also think it's likely that she'll re-wear her principal Seymour and Parr costumes from the UK Tour, although I'd expect that they'll generally keep them in the West End and not always have her bring them to Tour (with the exception of special occasions). Assuming she does reuse those, she wouldn't get the black Seymour variation. There is a small chance that Natalie keeps her pink alt and Seymour/Parr costumes. This seems unlikely - harder to transport, less flexibility, risk of double pink - but knowing Six it's not impossible. If this is the plan, presumably one of the West End alts would get black instead of pink.
Alternate costumes To me the most exciting factor is that they finally scrambled around the covers again!!! This is the first time since the current alternate system has been implemented that they're breaking the standardized A/C, B/H, S/P, to: Gabriella Stylianou as alt. Aragon/Seymour Naomi Alade as alt. Boleyn/Cleves Hannah Lowther as alt. Howard/Parr They're keeping the same system of principal costumes for first covers (already seen some of them in progress). But their alternate costumes for second and third covers are up in the air. Historically... - teal alternate was designed for Boleyn/Cleves, but also became standard for B/H, B/S/H, and S/H/P as first covers. Under the standardized alternate system, it's been used for Aragon/Cleves first covers which means they're wearing it for B/S/H/P. - orange alternate was designed for Aragon/Parr but also became standardized for S/P and once for A/C. Under the standardized system, it was used for A/S/C/P. - pink alternate was designed for Aragon/Howard and used for A/B/C/H, both prior to lockdown and with the recent standardization. - and I know I mentioned the (small) possibility that Natalie keeps her pink and an alt gets black above, but that's so minute and adds too many factors to consider, so for the sake of this post I'm just going to assume that's not happening. With this cast, my best guess is: - Gabriella in teal (will be worn for B/C/H/P) - Naomi in pink or orange (will be worn for A/S/H/P) - Hannah in orange or pink (will be worn for A/B/S/C) Gabriella's covers all fit neatly within teal so that feels fairly simple (although nothing ever is with Six and it could wind up totally different!). Naomi and Hannah both feel a little more complicated. I'd lean towards Naomi pink and Hannah orange - they feel more likely and better suited to them/the roles. But in terms of the costumes themselves, they've generally really avoided pink for S/P and Naomi does cover both, while Hannah only covers S. If they really want to avoid pink S/P as much as possible, there's a chance Hannah gets it. It ultimately comes down to what factors they're prioritizing. I'm very curious to see where they land! My personal hopes, with varying degrees of likelihood: - a changed variation for orange/teal/pink. please Ms Slade I'm begging you. - Naomi wearing braids for her roles, just like Zara MacIntosh did. - Thao Therese Nguyen getting green highlights like the South Korean queens did. Six has really diversified their Boleyn hair/wig designs recently to better reflect the individual queens' hair/cut/style. Since Thao often has brightly dyed hair I think this would be a really fun spot to add that individuality for her! I'd also like to see Naomi with green highlights if this is the case, but since she's alt it's less likely and I'd rather braids. - Janiq Charles getting to incorporate twists in her hairstyle, potentially something similar to Paisley Billings'. - Meg getting the Boleyn variation for silver alt. This is unlikely but I'd love for it to happen anyway (Esme Rothero seems to have been a special case, which I wrote about here)

Synopsis:
A mysterious, yet charming woman, Casandra "Cassie" Nightingale, arrives in a small town, Middleton, and causes a stir when people think this raven-haired enchantress is an actual witch. She moves into the allegedly haunted Grey House, and opens the "Bell, Book and Candle" shop full of wondrous unique items. The town's moral committee, lead by the mayor's wife Martha Tinsdale, becomes convinced that she is evil and begins a campaign to drive her out of town. This causes much stress to the town sheriff, Jake Russel, a struggling widower who is slowly developing feelings for Cassie. As their relationship grows, Cassie helps the sheriff's children Brandon and Nancy, as well as several members of the community, face their problems and overcome personal obstacles. But is common sense or magic that's helping the townsfolk? And will they ever be able to accept her as one of their own?

Isekai/Online: Books 1 and 2 are now out on Amazon and Itch.io!
Discover the books that C. Matthew Smit said "are my favorite books in the genre, beating out even Seanan McGuire or Simon Archer" and that "This is a book that knows coming out narratives, cyberpunk stories, portal fantasies, & polyamorous romances, and uses that knowledge to build fresh, nuanced dynamics; clever allusions; and multilayered, smart worldbuilding that nothing else I've seen this year can equal."
It is the Virtual 2040's. Our protagonist wakes up face-down in the sands of the Shores of Awakening - a starter area of their favorite VRMMO, Another World Online: Mundane Phantasy Historia - as avatar Deedee Yeowoo, a foxgirl healer. Something's wrong - she can't log out, and as part of the lategame raiding guild Dungeon-Crawling And Chill, shouldn't be at first level. Moreover, she's not alone - at least some of her friends in the guild, as well as the innocent newbie and streamer Ace Striker, are along for the ride.
How can they survive such an adventure friendly - which is to say, violent and monster-filled - world? Why are they here? And why does this avatar feel more comfortable to Deedee Yeowoo's player than her real life body ever did?
An exploration of the ways in which we are queer online, the existential questions raised by cyberpunk tech, worldbuilding, and aslightly skewed renaissance history, I'm very proud of these books and hope you'll enjoy the hell out of them!.

BOOOO ANSWER IT HANNAH 1.0 👎🏻
no one is hotter or better! attraction doesn't work that way!
harry is the "i woke up like this" guy (literally, he has bedhead 86% of the time) and draco will never have a hair out of place ever. harry is the type of guy you notice because he's so painfully trying to go unnoticed. draco is the type of guy who you notice because he is painfully trying to be noticed. harry is the type of person who respects everyone until proven otherwise. draco only respects the people who have the power to hurt him. they're complete opposites in everything except height and stature. though i suppose draco does have that one inch of height on harry and will never let him forget it.
ginny is that striking, natural kind of pretty that makes you lose your train of thought when you see her for the first time. she's choosing function over fashion and personal taste over trends. whereas pansy is the girl who knows which haircut accentuates her eyes, and which hemlines make her calves look slimmer, and which colors work with her skin tone and which ones absolutely do not.
THEY'RE DIFFERENT! OKAY! IT'S NOT FAIR TO COMPARE! THEY AREN'T EVEN IN THE SAME CATEGORIES!

Summer of 2008 (June-July) Part 1 | The Introduction of Lucas Till, Julianne's Second Return, and The Beginning of The Joe Hoe Summer
At some point during this summer, John Keefe, the drummer for Boys Like Girls, does the drums for Taylor's song, You're Not Sorry.
Tumblr media
This implies that Martin is still somewhat in the picture, though he and Taylor are seemingly not together, or at the very least not exclusive, as during this summer Toe 1.0 are in full force, and Lucas Till is like... there briefly?
June 3rd
Miley Cyrus films the "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" scene for Hannah Montana: The Movie (the song Taylor and Martin co-wrote).
June 5th - 8th
Taylor hosts the CMA Music Festival with Kellie Pickler and Julianne Hough.
In an interview done during the event, Taylor and Kellie discuss Julianne's "rockin' bod".
youtube
June 9th
Taylor films her cameo in Hannah Montana: The Movie and meets Lucas Till.
Tumblr media
Lucas later went on to admit that he and Miley had dated while filming the movie (3:30) and that he and Taylor also dated, though months later.
There was allegedly tension between Miley and Taylor over him during the movie (I repeat, ALLEGEDLY).
He fueled this somewhat by going out of his way to say that he preferred kissing Taylor to Miley.
June
The Jonas Brothers release their Burnin' Up music video.
youtube
July 4th
The Jonas Brothers begin their Burnin' Up Tour, and Taylor begins being spotted backstage.
Tumblr media
July 9th
Taylor is pictured attending the Jonas Brothers show in Dallas, Texas.
Tumblr media
She and Joe both tweet after the show:
Tumblr media
Due to Taylor's mention of the date during Last Kiss, it can be presumed that this is the night they had their first kiss.
July 12th
Taylor and Selena Gomez are spotted at the Irvine show.
July 14th
Taylor makes the first of multiple guest appearances on the Jonas Brothers Burnin' Up Tour, and performs Should've Said No as a duet with Joe.
July 15th
Taylor is spotted at the Mountain View show.
July 20th
Joe Jonas flies to Nashville to watch Taylor open for Rascal Flatts.
Tumblr media
July 21st
Taylor is spotted at the Jonas Brothers' Omaha show. She and Joe then apparently went to Cracker Barrel.
July 24th
Taylor and Joe are seen on what appears to be a date in Hendersonville (though they do not do so much as hold hands).
Taylor's publicist says the two are "just friends".
July 30th
Taylor is spotted at their North Carolina show.
Note: While I am open to theorizing that Taylor's relationships during this time had the potential of not being legit, I'm going to outright state that I don't think that's the case with Joe, for two main reasons
The Jonas Brothers (and really the general Disney Kids of this era's) love lives were very secretive during this time, which we will get into later. But basically, they were highly discouraged from having public relationships, which they've admitted put a strain on them.
I find it difficult to believe that the Taylor Swift of this era would follow around a dude she wasn't dating like a groupie just to convince people she was dating him.
At the most, I think what might've happened is that on the back of her "cool-off" with Martin, Taylor was encouraged to go out with Joe (or she did it of her own volition). Whether that encouragement came from her management, mutual friends, or even her parents, she followed through. The two hit it off, and Martin was quickly and quietly forgotten about (for now, at least).
Or, maybe none of that happend, and I'm talking out of my ass. Who's to say.

if you hit ip limit: turn wifi router off/on, switch shortly to airplane mode and back, use mobile data or try a different browser/the app.

it gets embarrassing really. yes, the others get help from other fandoms and cheat by using vpn and buying votes, but considering what a huge fandom we are, this constant struggle and that we can't widen the gap more than 25k before it starts decreasing again, is embarrassing. period.
EDIT:
They OUTVOTED US TODAY AGAIN!
not bc the votes more but bc we voted LESS than yesterday!

Since you seem to be pretty confident in certain Taylor hookups having happened despite them not being generally excepted *cough* Tatty 1.0 *cough* how do you determine which sources to believe and which ones not too?
I don't have a hard and fast rule but generally several things have to work: there have to be some media articles about it, ideally there should be organic sightings of them, the timing has to make some kind of sense, friends need to have mentioned something, and they need to not really be friends anymore/never really have been friends.
So for instance I believe she hooked up with Evan Spiegel because it was reported she went to the Snapchat holiday party as his date. She wasn't really dating anyone at the time and Evan was considering investing in BMR. We know Evan likes model types, which Tay is. An expose of Evan mentioned the relationship, complete with Evan offering for her to write a song about him and her replying FUCK YOU EVAN. They are clearly not friends. I don't think it was especially deep or went on for very long but it's also not like some insane ass theory.
Also like Garrett and Taylor - both were in Nash around the time of the alleged date/spottings, they were spotted, the timing worked, but clearly they didn't have enough of a vibe. They may never have even gotten to hookup stage because they might've legit just been hanging out, but hang out they did and then they stopped being friends except through Joe who was and is independently friendly with Garrett (at which point they did some stuff with him).
Hozier is another one - they were mad tight for a bit, hung out 1:1, and then seemingly forgot about the other when Taylor went off the market.
I have a bunch more like this where like... reality suggests a hookup happened.
There are also very silly ones like Cory Monteith (I think they were in similar friend circles and Lainie used to think she's using Cory to distract everyone from John which tbh tracks but doesn't suggest they hooked up or were anything more than flirty buds in similar circles), Chord Overstreet (they do appear to have gone on one date but that doesn't make him a hookup, that just makes Taylor's love life over scrutinised and she was not as careful then), Alexander Skarsgard (never spotted together except at group dinners with a bunch of castmates, literally nothing beyond him being hot suggests it), Brenton Thwaites (they were spotted flirting but he had a gf who apparently hated Taylor so while they may have been flirting, unless Brenton cheated, this is unlikely), Eddie Redmayne (who's explicitly explained they were just both auditioning for Les Mis and it was really cool to meet her and stuff but I'm pretty sure he was actually already with Hannah by then and even if he wasn't like it legit sounds like they just had a professional interaction and were very complimentary of one another) and I'm sure others.
And then there are ones we can't know for sure about like Zac Efron where some evidence does suggest they were more than friends - they've mentioned cooking at each other's houses and stuff - but they were also working together so it may have been work wife/work husband vibes so whether you believe that really depends on if you think MIAB would be a cute song about Zac lol.

Call for Testing
An important step for RFC implementation is for people to experiment with the implementation and give feedback, especially before stabilization. The following RFCs would benefit from user testing before moving forward:
No calls for testing were issued this week.
If you are a feature implementer and would like your RFC to appear on the above list, add the new call-for-testing label to your RFC along with a comment providing testing instructions and/or guidance on which aspect(s) of the feature need testing.
Call for Participation; projects and speakers
CFP - Projects
Always wanted to contribute to open-source projects but did not know where to start? Every week we highlight some tasks from the Rust community for you to pick and get started!
Some of these tasks may also have mentors available, visit the task page for more information.
If you are a Rust project owner and are looking for contributors, please submit tasks here.
CFP - Speakers
Are you a new or experienced speaker looking for a place to share something cool? This section highlights events that are being planned and are accepting submissions to join their event as a speaker.
If you are an event organizer hoping to expand the reach of your event, please submit a link to the submission website through a PR to TWiR.

Rust Compiler Performance Triage
A quiet week; all the outright regressions were already triaged (the one biggish one was #122077, which is justified as an important bug fix). There was a very nice set of improvements from PR #122070, which cleverly avoids a lot of unnecessary allocator calls when building an incremental dep graph by reusing the old edges from the previous graph.
Triage done by @pnkfelix. Revision range: 3d5528c2..86b603cd
3 Regressions, 3 Improvements, 7 Mixed; 1 of them in rollups 78 artifact comparisons made in total

Note
I was the one that accused you and Hannah the older of being the same person, but it was obviously a joke because both of you are named Hannah and joke about dobnny.
But. I think that the Dobnny anon doesn't exist and is a sock puppet from one of you. Only you two have so much commitment to that pairing with Dobby.
if it is one of us, Hannah 1.0 has to be running the longest and funniest practical joke on me, because it is not me running the dobnny account.
And we don't have the commitment, we have had the commitment thrust upon us and it is our responsibility to handle the Dobster
