The second born to KYUNG MULCIBER and YEONG YANG, Jae glowed in his parents' affection as they primped him to raise the Mulciber name into defying glory. Hidden in the secluded mountains of The Lake District, enchanted barriers secluded the family from unwelcome prying eyes. Gothic and grand, the manor was envied amongst Pure-Blood elite for it’s grandeur. Gargoyles kept a luring protective gaze on the prinimator, while towering family portraits adorned embossed walls cast in crystal chandeliers. Resilient, powerful and dynamic with exuberant wealth enough for generations to come; the Muclibers possessed a deep rooted sense of entitlement. Basking in status, the name Mulciber was a feared household name for it’s powerful ties to darkness. Souls matching demons, they snarled at Half-Bloods and Mudblood’s alike, batting them into anguish, with a superior god complex. Molded into assassins of torment by the guiding hand of the devil himself; purist rhetoric was laced in their lives from dusk till dawn. Breeding internal misery, Jae and his older sister ERIS were taught not what beauty magic held but rather what power. Snarled voiced echoed like piercing sirens around the garden’s grounds, poisoning any innocence the children held into pure vile vulgarity. A villainous snarl to accompany his bite, Kyung’s teachings were relentless and traitorous; enough to make even the Thestral’s kept on their ground quiver.

Concealing their illegal devastation with unregistered Gregorovitch wands, they harnessed darkness while slipping through the grasps of the law. The first born, Eris became the personification of the goddess of chaos; striking strife with the Cruciatus curse. Jae however took akin to the killing curse; Avarda Kadavra. Harsh, blunt, direct, it’s simplicity and dictating hand grew like a disease in Jae’s hand; graving it’s power. United in misery, the troublesome duo relentlessly tormenting house elves in a plight of their own self-satisfaction. Reveling in screams, elves who disobeyed fell victim to Eris, only once she’d had her fun did Jae put them out of their misery with one swish flick. Cast as the spawn of Satan, they revealed in the misery they inflicted and danced in the praise their parents bestowned who beamed with pride from the shadows at the little demons they’d created. Running on gasoline, as years passed, connections faded. Once thriving in destruction throwing hexes at one another with childish glee, glowering glances turned their relationship sour as Eris grew green with envy watching Jae became his father’s right hand. Though praise nor glory was fated in the cards for the Muclibers as heartbreak shattered a distorted reality. LARKIN MULCIBER, a mistake and tarnish on the family legacy brewed devastation. Causing their mother’s last breath with his first, YEONG passed leaving piercing darkness behind. Lace as black as night hid silent tears of fury burning into Eris’ cheeks, while the stench of alcohol on their father’s breath bit as he dismissed elves hushing Larkin’s wails of tears with bitter hatred. While Eris grew spiteful, Jae grew dependable and divisive; possessing an anger so vile it could burn cities to the ground.

While he left the Mulciber name growing in the pits of hell, Durmstrung was Jae’s doing. Persistent in his acts of cruelty, his wit and suave became his hallmark. Thriving, he followed in his sister's legacy as notoriously volatile. His charm lured in the unsuspecting; leaving them vulnerable at his diposble. Few families held the reputation of the Mucliber’s. A name that echoed for centuries, their family legacy was unmatched. Each member as vile as the next, Jae dominated the school with a devilish grin, slicked back hair and a charmed charisma that left even the strongest of witches falling at his feet. Arrogant in his pride, he rose like a phoenix from his mother’s ashes. Dominating and unforgiving, his popularity left him ruling the school with a gang as equally notorious for their power and cruelty. Enthralled by his father’s guiding words to gather strong connections to benefit them when THE DARK LORD’S world came to fruition, Jae entrusted only those equally despicable to his side. NYX FALKOV was a witch with powerful wandless magic rivaling even his own as she poisoned minds and played fiddle to no man, while OSIRIS NOTT held a somber disposition but whose combat skills could leave any quivering at his feet. Rioting the night they reigned like hell furies, encouraged by classmates and tutors alike for their sickafance and talent for the dark arts. Graduating with shining medals of honour to his name, Jae’s intellect and ambition for glory reigned. Hungry for power, he strode in his father’s footsteps; knowing his position could claim him leverage and a dominating hand in any room.

Filled with aristocratic politicians who aimed to benefit themselves, though Jae held little interest in the justice of Wizengamot, he saw value in it’s disgrace. Week after week he watched the meek, vulnerable and pathetic plead their innocence despite their guilt. Their insolence was intolerable to him; but presented the perfect opportunity. Cunning as the devil and twice as pretty, Jae turned his hand to Law and became a defence barrister with hopes to become of use in The Dark Lord’s schemes. Safeguarding those with less than savoury natures, Jae’s was untouchable as he pleaded cases for those with horror’s hidden in their eyes. Slick defenses became his hall card as he unshackled the guilty and spared them from the likes of Azkaban and The Dementors kiss. Owl’s piled high from villainous figures pleading for their freedom were hand chosen by him for whom he deemed useful in his game of chess. One witch that found his behavior despicable was NAMARI NGUYEN, an auror with bold gumption; if Jae was the executioner, Namari was the liberator. Openly scorning him for endangering civilians by setting the guilty free, criminals passed through his doors captured by her only to be proven innocent. Taking entertainment in her displeasure, as their heated rivalry grew, Jae found himself only wanting to toy with her more. Love, they say, toys a fine parallel line to hatred. Their passionate disagreements turned to scandalous moments hidden behind locked doors with scattered papers. Opposites, while their values often classed; their blood and families aligned. Unionship encouraged by both sides, their love was in spite of odds; united in marriage after nearly seven years since they first quarreled.

Jae’s motives, however, were more complex. The hand of one of the most trusted Auror’s was a wealthy commodity and perfect mask of corruption; for who would suspect the husband of a senior officer? Destroying evidence to hide atrocities accumulating from the rising power of the Death Eater’s, his glory was finally coming to fruition. Though when villains crumble, it’s always that much more crippling. Sipping a fire whiskey on rocks in a heated political debate between his father and his new companion - ARA YI-; laughed at the state of the Ministry under the hands of MILLICENT. Though when Kyung went to check on his girlfriend after she’d excused herself, frantic alarmed shouts disrupted the silence. Alerted to join his father, Jae’s eyes befell a large serpent luring in the shadows of the room. Swift brash action, a twisted hand and a hissed ‘Avada Kedavra’ left the creature cold. Only, to their horror, as the scaly beast morphed into a petite woman did they realise it wasn’t a creature at all, but Ara; a Maledictus unknown to them. But before Kyung and Jae could utter a word, a scream of horror erupted from Namari who’d just returned home. Horrified, her gaze once loving darked before his eyes. With panicked words of informing the ministry, she fled for her wand. Barely a whisper of a hair from her grasp, before ‘Avada Kedavra’ cut through the air like a guillotine, harsh, brutish and soul destroying; leaving her cold as stone on the marble floor. A shiver in the air, Jae looked upon his wife’s corpse with tight sadness; death having left his lips from selfish fear of his own fate before he’d even gabbled the consequences. The soul of his love destroyed in a plight to save his own; unaware that he too would die with her.

Masquerading murders, Sectumsempra replicated the attack of the late BOOKER, leading blame to ‘infamous killer’ SILAS CRUMP. Assured by Kygung that Jae’s mistakes would aid in The Dark Lord’s biddings. And if betrayed, they’d all go burning into hell and drag RABASTAN and BELLATRIX down with them for their own crimes. Playing the mournful widow, an ominous glance reflected in a mirror before mysteriously vanishing and glass shattering without touch, have left him paranoid. Strange events keep happening without explanation, leaving him feeling haunted in guilt as he catches a reflection of a face he swears is his late wife. Fearing he’s losing his sanity, drowned sorrows eases his paranoia until the lights flicker in an ominous glow. An unnerving sight that isn’t helped with Namari’s once partner in crime NOBREGAS THORNE who is becoming overly interested in the growing investigation. Irritated as Thorne sniffs around, Jae has enlisted the help of close friend EDRICK SELWYN to uncover Nobregas’ skeleton’s in hopes to blackmail him into silence. However, discovering a stolen love affair between Thorne and Namari, Jae has grown furious with vengeful spite. Storm raging in his chest, for a man once so assertive, he’s become unstable in his own judgement. Rationality shattered, he has cleared the name of criminal ESADOWA ARROW and in exchange for his early release from Azkaban, has tasked him to deter Thorne by any means necessary. Swearing to Morgana the Mulciber name will burn glorious as he arises in the new world as the rightful air to his legacy. But what good is a legacy, if you’re unable to bask in all of its power come dawn?

Super short and hella rushed.

(Y/N) grunted, leaning against the wall as he held his open wound. He was too weak from the poison to heal or fight back. (Y/N) pulled his hand back, looking at the his blood covered hand. The black liquid dribbled down his arm.

"So this is the thing that you were looking for? A guy?" (Y/N) frowned, looking up when he heard a familiar voice.

"Not just any guy, Malachai." Hiram clicked a button that sent sound waves into the room (Y/N) was in. (Y/N) groaned, his demonic traits coming out. He looked at the glass, making eye contact with familiar brown eyes. Hiram stepped back, walking away when someone called him over. Hiram's friend, Malachai, looked so much like... Josiah.

"I know you from somewhere..." Malachai mumbled. (Y/N) moved closer to the glass as the male crouched down.

"Josiah?" He questioned softly, brows furrowing. Doppelganger? Reincarnation? (Y/N) wasn't sure. Malachai frowned, confused.

"Who are you?"

"(Y/N)... I knew you. Your name was Josiah.. A cocky little shit." (Y/N) said, cringing and looking down at his wound. Malachai watched him. He stood, looking over at Hiram.

"Shouldn't you bandage him up? He'd be useful alive." Malachai said. Hiram looked over at him.

"If you want to do it, do it." Hiram said, motioning to a table before walking out of the room. Malachai approached the table, grabbing some bandages and entering the room. He crouched down by (Y/N), wiping the blood away.

"Why is your blood black?" He asked.

"Why is your hair curly?" (Y/N) asked. Malachai pressed his lips into a thin line.

"Because I was born with it." He grumbled. (Y/N) helped with the bandages.

"My past life.. How did you know me?" Malachai asked. (Y/N) gave a tired smile.

"We were in love... Until you passed." (Y/N) replied. Malachai's eyes met his.

"Love?" He cocked a brow.

"Shocking, I know." (Y/N) chuckled. He sighed softly, taking in Malachai's features. Seeing Josiah, or Malachai, again was refreshing. He wanted to hug, cuddle, and kiss him but he didn't know if Malachai was straight or not.

"I'm probably gonna die." (Y/N) shifted his gaze onto the light.

"I always thought I'd be taking care of myself or sacrifice myself to save the world." (Y/N) grinned.

"But... You're immortal." Malachai frowned.

"We all die eventually, Malachai. Even immortals." (Y/N) looked back at him.

"The dagger on the table can kill demons." (Y/N) informed him, hoping he got the hint.

"I'm not gonna kill you." Malachai stood. He seemed conflicted.

"You're friends with some Serpents, right?" Malachai asked. (Y/N) nodded, tilting his head. Malachai licked his lips, walking away.

Josiah pecked his cheek, arms wrapped around his waist.

"You're so creepy when you watch me sleep." (Y/N) mumbled. Josiah chuckled, nuzzling back against him.

"Sorry, I never expected to be in love with an angel." (Y/N) almost snorted at the irony.

"I'm sure you mean demon." He mumbled. Josiah chuckled, kissing his jawline sweetly.

(Y/N) smiled gently at the memory. Even if he wasn't gonna be the love of his life, he was glad his old lover was able to get another chance at life and another chance at love. He heard thuds and yelling, Veronica bursting into the room afterwards with the rest of the squad.

"Oh great, the Scooby Doo gang." (Y/N) mumbled yet he was glad to see them. Veronica found the half finished potion and dropped the glass to get rid of it as Archie rushed into the room with Jug. (Y/N) kissed Archie, surprisingly feeling stronger rather quickly. He pulled back, the boys helping him up.

"I'm helping too." Jughead mumbled. (Y/N) chuckled softly.

"Stay away from the demon, boys." Hiram instructed as two guys pointed guns at them. The sound of a wooden bat hitting something echoed in the room, distracting the hunters. (Y/N) lunged forward, grabbing one by the neck while Jug and Archie took care of the other one. Malachai had knocked out the guy beside Hiram.

"Daddy.. Please." Veronica stepped forward, watching her father. (Y/N) slowly inched towards the door with the other guys, hoping to get (Y/N) out before dealing with Hiram.

"Really, Mija? Your gonna choose this... This monstrosity?" Hiram asked, eyes narrowed. He turned around, facing (Y/N).

"Get off my dick." (Y/N) glared back at him. He grabbed Hiram, placing his hands on the side of his faces, staring into his eyes. Hiram fell to his knees as (Y/N)

"(Y/N), leave him!" (Y/N) ignored Jughead, eyes flickering over to Veronica. The tension in the room was high until (Y/N) finally let go of a pale Hiram. He wasn't dead, just passed out. Veronica hurried over to her father, making sure he was okay. (Y/N) glanced at the others before leaving the room, using an easy spell to teleport into the forest. (Y/N) grunted softly, leaning against a tree when he felt dizzy. He hadn't teleported in a while and he barely had any energy left. (Y/N) sat down, sighing. He almost killed someone close to his friend. (Y/N) was gonna be alone again. Just when he was starting to get comfortable. He fucked it up. Again.

Dragon Dancer IV: Hiwatari Matsuri

The Shrine was about an hour and a half away in the mountains surrounding the Western side of Tokyo. We rode in a bulletproof Buick with deep black tinted windows in a caravan that included two other cars.

Aoi Gen sat beside me, Spider Fang and Tongzi in her lap, the baby’s carseat between us. Every so often, she would look at Ru’Yi who was captivated by the swinging toys above her head, watching her occasionally flap her little arms to make them move more.

“I am sorry I threatened her life.” Aoi said, her voice quiet. “It won’t happen again.”

“Are you nervous?” I asked.

“No,” she said. “Whether or not he believes me doesn’t change the truth of the matter. He is a foreigner. He has no right to call himself by the name Gen, and he needs to forfeit the assets he stole from my family. There’s nothing to be nervous or uncertain about.”

“I mean... Hydra doesn’t believe you... The woman I talked to called you a ‘crazy lady.’“

She smiled, holding up a manila envelope. “I’ve brought proof.”

She opened it, pulling out a photograph and handing it to me.

“This is the last photo of the Gen Clan before the massacre. The woman standing on the far left is my mother, pregnant with me. You can probably see the resemblance. She flew off to the States and this photo was mailed to her. I was born in the States and raised there with her American husband. After he died, she came back but was too scared to contact. Hydra I was about sixteen at the time.”

“So... your last name isn’t Gen...” I said.

“No. Officially it’s Arnett. However...” She pulled out another piece of paper and handed it to me. A birth certificate from California. Sure enough, Aoi Arnett’s mother’s last name was Hana Minamoto.

I looked up at her. “And you showed them this?” I handed them back to her.

“Of course.”

“And what did they say?”

“That they were fake.” She returned the papers to the envelope.

I twined my fingers eyes resting on my daughters face. “That’s really tough. Well...” I looked up at her. “I believe you.”

We arrived at the shrine as the sun was setting. We stayed in the car while Aoi’s men stood by the doors. Black guns rested at their hips. I started to scan upwards and spotted moving shadows on the roofs of buildings.

“Hydra are everywhere. Are you sure you want to do this?” I asked.

“I have to do this. They won’t fire on me so long as you’re here.”

Once it was evident that the tension in the area wasn’t rising, the men opened our doors to let us out. I lifted Ru’Yi from her carseat where she’d fallen fast asleep from the motion of the drive.

Hydra agents in suits led me to one of the outside buildings on the complex. My eyes brightened when I spotted Crow. He gave Aoi a glare but gave me a smile. “This way.”

I glanced over my shoulder as Aoi was led away to wait elsewhere. “You’re not going to hurt her are you?” I whispered to Crow.

“That would be up to her...” He murmured back. We entered through the door into a room full of paintings of dragons and samurai engaging them in battle. On one wall, a white eight headed beast loomed over me from floor to ceiling.

“Wait here.”

Crow turned on his heel and marched out. I sighed, shifting Ru’Yi from one shoulder to the other. I didn’t like this place. I felt like the paintings on the wall were going to crawl out and eat me. In fact, it reminded me a lot of the feeling I got in the basement of Minamoto Heavy Industries.

I approached the painting of the serpent and sniffed it. Sure enough, it had that fishy smell of the paint used on the large murals in that building. This was no ordinary shrine, but a shrine owned by Hydra, likely for generations.

The door opened behind me and I turned. There, silhouetted by the last gleams of daylight, was Chisei Gen. I hadn’t seen him in over a year!

He was still tall as I remembered him, tanned from his time on the beach in France. He was dressed in the traditional robes of the priests and a ceremonial necklace. Behind him, the sound of a loud horn announced that the firewalking ceremony was soon to begin.

“Carli. Are you alright?” He seemed shocked to see me there.

“I’m okay!” I said, relieved. “Did Crow tell you I would be here?”

He shook his head and looked behind him, annoyed. “No...”

I rolled my eyes. “Have you ever wondered if there were any one else of the Gen Clan remaining? It existed before you arrived, what happened to all of them?”

“They were massacred in a gang war... Carli what is this about?” He shut the door behind him.

“There’s a woman claiming to be one of the Gen Clan. Her name is Aoi. She presented me with a photo of her family taken within Hydra headquarters as well as a her birth certificate with her mothers maiden name Minamoto as proof. She’s asking to speak with you.”

His eyes narrowed. “Really... this again.”

“What do you mean, this again?”

“Do you think this the first time someone has approached me with this sort of thing?”

“Eh?” I was genuinely surprised. “I...”

“It happens to all prestigious families. These hereditary claims.” He shook his head, amused. “It’s good to see you though, Carli. Is that your baby?” He tilted his head to look at Ru’Yi.

My eyes shifted. “Yes... but...” I couldn’t believe he was blowing her off so easily. “I mean surely you should talk to her right?”

He gave an incredulous laugh. “No. I have people for that.” He approached. “Can I hold her?”

“Sure...” My heart was slamming in my chest as I handed Ru’Yi to him. “But... but Chisei. I kinda... Told her you would meet with her.”

“What?!” His head swiveled.

“It’s a situation where I felt a lot of sympathy for her! Right now, I’m desperately searching for my own family and no one believes me!”

“Did something happen to Mingfei?” He glanced behind him at the sound of another horn. “Make it quick, the ceremony is about to begin.”

“The night Ru’Yi was born I came under attack by a powerful Soul Skill. Before that attack I was married to a man named Chu Zihang. And afterward, everything changed. The house I was living in changed form and everyone told me that I was married to Lu Mingfei and that Ru’Yi is his daughter!”

“Everything I remember? People tell me it never happened! And that I’m delusional or crazy! But I’m not crazy!”

Chisei stared at me, wide eyed, silent, Ru’Yi dozing in his arms.

I felt like I was digging myself deeper and deeper but I just couldn’t stop, searching for any sort of sign that he was understand me. “I ran away from the academy, because they accused Mingfei of treason and wanted implicate me. Aoi Gen found me and I said if they could hide me for a while, I would bring her to you, to state her case.”

Chisei had begun to shake his head, in full disbelief, but that gradually turned to anger as he spoke. “You’re on the run from the academy for treason and you would drag me into it? Carli... what are you thinking?” His voice lowered to a hissing whisper. “They will come down on us like a hammer!” He leaned forward, passing Ru’Yi to me, his eyes intent.

I swallowed hard. “I thought you would listen.”

“I did listen and I’m hearing insanity and foolishness.” He glared at me and I shrank away. “I gave you Spider Fang and Tongzi at your wedding. To Mingfei Lu. Are you telling me I didn’t do that?”

I gave a little sigh. “The person you gave the swords to... his name was Chu Zihang. That’s what I remember.” My shoulders fell. My eyes started to burn. I hiccuped, tears falling.

Chisei turned away, regret softening his features. “I can’t help you. I’ll have my men take care of Aoi. Get out of here. And don’t contact me again.”

He left and shut the door behind him.

“Johann... now what?” Tears flowed once more as I stood in the dark, alone in that dim room. In my effort to find a friend, I’d lost one.

I had to find Aoi. They weren’t going to believe her. She wasn’t talking to Chisei.

I stepped out of the small room into the dark. The mountains were loud with the sound of singing crickets, frogs and awakening cicadas. No one was watching me. Chisei was long gone.

A rolling drum beat was followed by the sound of low horns and chanting. The ancient sounds raised goosebumps on my arms.

A crowd of chanting priests shaking ceremonial rattles were following a man with a horn and a torch in his hand. I fell in line behind them.

They suddenly stopped. I looked around. An older man was holding up what looked like a scroll and shouting out its contents in front of a gigantic bonfire. A man came with a flat paddle and stared to pull the bonfire apart, smashing the charred logs flat.

I ducked away from loud chanting crowd. On the roof of the temple proper, I spied human figures moving against the dark blue sky. I pressed myself between two buildings as the drums began a steady beat and the first of the priests began their walk down an aisle of fire over smoldering embers.

I spotted an opening in the crowd near a stone fence near the trees, but as soon as I moved toward it, someone came from the woods dressed in black, eyes fixed on me.

I backed away, running into someone who shouted in annoyance.

The chants were interrupted by gasps and shouting.

Between the two rows of fire stood Chisei and facing him was Aoi.

The two stood on top of the embers, heedless of the incredible heat. Aoi smiled, serene, as she turned the hilt of the sword Spider Fang so that it glimmered in the light of the crackling fire.

She wasn’t going to win this fight. She was going to die. I rushed forward only to be grabbed from behind around my neck.

“Where do you think you’re going?” The hard metal of a pistol was placed against my head.

“Taiga!”

“You’re not leaving until this is settled. One way or another.”

a child that was brought up by two lowlifes seemed to be a common occurrence in the south side of riverdale. so it wasn’t an uncommon story to have, though it was one that turn this whole boys life upside down. a mother by the name of mary wheeler and a father by the name of curtis sawyer had been together at the time of the boys birth. curtis sawyer had been known well with the cops as a local drug dealer that had been in and out of a cell since he was a early teen. and as for mary, she had been a teen runaway that was never caught. she moved into the south side and then had met curtis at a local bar. curtis hadn’t been affiliated with any gangs but had better relations with the ghoulies then he did the south side serpents. this story begins in the hospital on april 17th, the day their baby boy had to be born. the birth certificate stated milo sawyer as the legal name. watching his mother constantly being pushed around by his father had become a normal thing. the kid learned how to drown himself out of reality as the one he had been living in became a waking nightmare. only nine years old when he found his mother dead on the couch due to overdosing on drugs and his father next to her, barely alive. the neighbors heard the screams of a young boy and rushed over to see the boy hugging his mothers lifeless body. curtis was put into an ambulance while his girlfriend mary had been wheeled out in a body bag. the kid had been finally free from an abusive father but that would soon be all over as he was being put into protective services. milo had been ten when he had found a way out of the sisters of quiet mercy but that only left him alone on the streets. until he was found in an alleyway trying to cling on to life. the boy had been stabbed as he was caught messing with the wrong kids. a girl who went by the name toni and a boy who went by the name of fangs found him and took him to the serpents. they are the only two people who know him by his legal name. the rest know him as sweet pea, a name toni thought up for him. he was taken in by the serpents and was given time to heal before he wanted to go through their initiation at the age of twelve. the years moving on were tough. but there happened to be some fulfillment in it all. the serpents had become his family, they took care of him when no one else would. little by little his hatred for the northside grew as he saw how they looked down upon him and the whole other half of the city they all lived in. the northside was blessed to have all of the fine new fancy toys while the south side received the scraps. people would die in the south side and the north barely battered an eye. they didn’t care a young boy lost his parents, i mean how could they? especially when they were too busy watching their star sons play football on the brand new field. the same field that their tax money went to, instead of going towards better things like the south side schools. they showed him no mercy so he intended to do the same.

ginny is a very solitary person. she wasn’t always. growing up, ginny had a mother, at the very least. her father disappeared before she was born and her mother died when she was 10. with no brothers, no siblings and nowhere to go, ginny was alone on the streets. she found herself little hidey holes, mostly by breaking and entering. despite being small and relatively shy on a face to face basis, ginny is tough. she was very young when she became a serpent, but she’s brave as hell in any bad situation. she had a best friend whom she dated for quite a few years, but was friends with since they were in kindergarten. he died the year before all this started and ginny has been relatively isolated since, though she did rekindle her friendship with kitty as a result. ginny is finally getting to the point of wanting people in her life again.

evie grew up in an orphanage with only her older brother. they were taken from their parents at a young age on abuse charges, but they don’t know much more about their parents than that. parrish was a name given to them by the state, as far as she knows. evie has a lot of anger issues. she works as an EMT and is very intelligent, but also incredibly reckless. she’s known for rocking up with a black eye and a cut lip, laughing about a fight she got into. despite the long blonde hair and small frame, evie is anything but weak. she’s very brave and struggles to let people in. velvet is her ride or die best friend and evie would do anything in the world for her. evie has never had a partner and struggles to imagine anyone ever wanting her in that way.

lucy is about the epitome of someone who’s only a serpent because of family ties. she followed her brother charlie, desperate to be with him, since he’s someone she idolises and adores. lucy was previously in a physically abusive relationship, wherein which she pressed charges. as the result of this, though, lucy struggles with speaking up and being confident. her fear of that person has warped her personality in such a way that she’s afraid of ever speaking up or being around people alone sometimes. lucy is desperately trying to repair herself, tired of being afraid and struggling. she’s enlisted kitty to help her figure out how to move forward from this point and become someone stronger and not so led by her fears.

sammy is really just a big bean. he grew up in the foster system and moved from place to place a lot. he has very little to do with any of that now. he was led to the ghoulies by his ability to hack and to be of use in that department. truthfully, sammy doesn’t know why or how he wound up there, but feels like he sort of stumbles awkwardly through most of life. he has pretty severe self worth issues that don’t seem to be improving all that much. he’s only recently begun dating pixie, but he would do anything in the world for her. he’s very good friends with ace and feels a lot of loyalty to her as well. he’s currently got his best friend brooks living with him. luna is his sister figure from foster care and someone he loves dearly. sammy isn’t really the most intimidating, but he would fight for her.

harley’s father was the first victim of the grudge, but harley didn’t feel grief the way most people did. her father was a cruel and abusive man and harley jumped ship when she was old enough to realise how fucked up her life had become. harley lived on the streets of the north side for a significant period of time, unsure of what else to do with herself. no one trusted her and once she jumped ship, her father had slandered her to anyone who would listen as a drug user (despite her very young age). it was pixie who eventually led harley to the ghoulies and convinced the leader to let her in. harley goes to great lengths to try to show people she’s loyal, afraid to be distrusted.

baby is only in riverdale by chance, really. her mother was a north sider who was knocked up by a serpent. her mother, whose parents had been abusive towards her, just left town, with nothing but her and her daughter. she never told her father. because of her relationship with her parents, baby’s mother got baby very into self defence from a young age, teaching her to be proficient in almost every weapon, as well as martial arts, something baby rarely talks about. a year or so back, a robbery gone wrong resulted in baby witnessing her mother dying. having believed her father had abandoned her, baby received a letter from her mother’s estate admitting her father’s name and that he didn’t know about her. baby moved to riverdale to find him, but found out he had been killed in a gang related incident. now she’s in riverdale with absolutely no one in the world, trying desperately to find people and things worth staying for.
