Synopsis; What their first kiss looks like.

Featuring; Kokichi Oma and Nagito Komaeda x GN! Reader

Warning(s); Kissing, established relationship, and Nagito’s self-degradation, but that’s all, I assume!

➤ KOKICHI OMA

⤷ Ever the jokester, he’ll likely play off his advances as nothing more than a quip; yet another jest of his. Every brush of his lips against yours, so close yet too far to be considered a proper kiss. He tests the waters, instinctual caution before truly diving within.

⤷ He’s analytical; inspecting your visage in order to determine whether or not he should follow through with the underlying verity of his intentions. Every pinch of your brows; the twitch of your lips in which form spherical as you gasp; the tops of your fingers brushing atop his chest in either an attempt to push him away or draw him in.

⤷ It’s an insatiable desire; a thirst he’s rendered unable to quench. For as long as he’s been with you, he expected the anticipated kiss. Though he’d began to dread the unpredictable ticking of time.

⤷ A timer held above his head, tantalizingly searing through his mind as a reminder of what’s to come; what he must prepare himself for. He questions whether he should leap, plunging forth and subduing his inhibitions.

⤷ But—albeit he’d never vocally admit such—he’s anxious. Even as he snickers, pulling his face away from yours to admire your flustered countenance, his leg bounces in response to the flurry of butterflies encapsulated within his gut.

⤷ If he was being honest with himself, he truly wanted to share this with you; to share his firsts of such sensual innocence. But where he faltered fell upon you; did you want to share something so intimate with him?

⤷ It was a matter of your approval. After all, the last thing he wanted was to royally embarrass himself at the ontological possibility that you simply didn’t want to engage in such a thing with him. Truly, he’d bury himself alive if your rejection were to occur after he’d already committed to the kiss.

⤷ So—with due diligence—he preserves his temptations and treads upon steady waters. His eyes keen on pinpointing your reposte to his jests; he’d always been skilled in the art of reading others. In due time, he’ll deduce your answer.

⤷ Thus was the beginnings of what Kokichi dubbed as The Chamber of Paradox. Well, for such a theatrical title the notion itself was rather burlesque.

⤷ Amidst this time, Kokichi’s tongue was laced in the plaguing of fallacy; a lie of self-contradictory. Poignant brushing of lips against the plush skin of your cheek as he draws away with a cheeky grin, and an all-too-knowing sheen within his violet orbs.

⤷ He’s aware of your perplexion. He’s tauntingly aware of the dissatisfaction veiled within your pout. And, within that very moment, he instilled that the tendrils of bitter reluctance were merely a kind lie. That feeling—the suffocating fear of rejection—was a falsity born from within the clutches of kindness.

⤷ But there’s a glory within masking his intentions. Tugging himself back, he departs his lips from your cheek and sports his infamous, mischevious grin as you raise a brow at his antics. When questioned for hos reasonings behind the fleeting peck, it’s as though he’s rehearsed it all before.

⤷ “Do I have to have a reason to kiss you?” He jabs. To the surface, he’s composed; delighted, even. Though that’s the beauty of masquerade, isn’t it?

⤷ He was poigantly forced to bare the weight of your underlying conviction; an impression he wished to have been blinded of. Your displeasure to his initiation upon your cheek; a destination far from his true intent.

⤷ Underneath the grin and boisterous laughter, his heart ached. A prick of a thorn dipped in venom, gradually spreading to the entirety of his heart and enveloping him in a state of melancholy.

⤷ He shouldn’t be feeling this way; he knows this. After all, a mutual desire was needed for him to begin to culminate the possibilities of initiating such shared moments. If you weren’t willing to engage then he would respect your wishes. Your comfort a priority far above his own impulses.

⤷ He respected your innermost discontentment. Thus, he strayed from initiating anything he deemed to reflect such a negative swirl of emotions within you. Even managing to restrict himself from pressing his lips against your cheeks; what he once considered a secondary form of jesting.

⤷ Yet it unnerved him that—despite his restrictions of physical intimacy—you still seemed dissatisfied. In fact, you seemed further displeased. He began to question whether or not he’d done something entirely unrelated to upset you.

⤷ Abiding by the tactic he’d come to know best, he pesters you. Picking at your patience to pry apart the genuine root of your vexation.

⤷ Through the ever-so playful baritone of his, he prods. “Are you mad at me?” A chuckle following soon after as he meets your eyes, hands poised behind his hands, casually.

⤷ To the ears of bystanders, his words hold no truth; a mere travesty of fallacious hurt. But you were not a bystander, and you were not heedless to his innermost concerns. And thus, with a sigh, you caved.

⤷ Truly, Kokichi wondered if he’d began hallucinating in that instance. He questioned if the words he’d interpreted you to utter were a mere figment of his mind; that you hadn’t rethought such a thing. A resonant question; why don’t you want to kiss me?

⤷ Well this was certainly a turn of events. You—of all people; of the two of you—were inquiring whether or not he was opposed to kissing you. In another instance, he’d have dubbed it comical. But the redundant suppression of his impulsivity induced his jaw to slack open, surprise evident within his visage.

⤷ “Say, what now?” Though the words passed through his lips as a question, you both were fully aware of the rhetoric implication. His eyes trained on yours as he attempts to decipher your thoughts within the encompass of your thoughts. But Kokichi isn’t a mind reader, and neither are you; the two of you needed to communicate verbally, desperately.

⤷ You’re hesitant. Your reluctance seeling into the quiver of your lips as your fists clench ever-so slightly. You needed to talk it out. No matter how abnormally in sync and tune, internally, with one another, you still needed to vocalize your true feelings.

⤷ So you swallow back the last traces of reticence, and utter your concerns. The avoidance of pecking your lips, the gradual decline of the kisses he’d brush up on your cheeks as a playful greeting, and his general reduction of previous normalcy of physical affection. Everything he’d done, you’d noticed. And it—albeit unintentionally—was swallowing you in grief and self-consciousness. How ironic.

⤷ Kokichi nearly allowed a laugh to slip at the irony of it all; the comical contradiction of both your perceptions. He was wallowing in dejection at your interlaced satisfaction of, presumably, his advancements whilst you were despondent of his withdrawal of the aforementioned advancements. Oh, how key communication was to the engagement of intimacy.

⤷ “Ah, man! And here I thought you didn’t want me to kiss you.” He admitted, jovial swirling within his remark. Your eyes widened instantaneously at his admission. Why on Earth would he assume that?

⤷ Though you don’t verbally voice your dumbfounding, finding it far within your mind as you eye Kokichi. He paces towards you, violet orbs masquerading with flickers of zeal as he nears you, craning his neck to leans closer towards you.

⤷ You rapidly discern his intentions as you, too, begin to tilt your head; allowing passage for him to—after long last—press his lips against yours.

⤷ Even as his lips hover over yours, a mere few centimeters away from yous, he falters. His eyes flickering to yours for some sort of confirmation; assurance that you truly wanted this just as much as he did.

⤷ Yet rather than the nodding of your head to ease his worries upon your potential second thoughts, he’s greeted with the weight of another’s lips atop his own. A reciprocated desire; swallowing his gasp as your hand finds its way through his hair, cradling his head to draw him closer.

⤷ Time seemed to slow, yet paradoxically begin to race as your lips overlapped his, suckling on his bottom lip in which quivered ever-so-slightly in stimulated fervor.

⤷ You pulled away far too soon for his liking, but the lingering taste of you kept him at bay. He could still feel your lips; the vivid, dream-like sensation of pure eloquence.

⤷ In that instance, he’s breathless. Cheeks lit aflame with roseate sincerity, he allows his lips to curl into a smile. One that you, yourself, find to be taken aback by as he steadies his breathing. Of all the smiles you’ve seen from your lover, Kokichi, this was his most solemn one.

➤ NAGITO KOMAEDA

⤷ The initial kiss was long anticipated, yet perpetually prolonged. It’s a dream―akin to a mind-fogged daze―to share something so daringly intimate with you. Especially it being his first kiss, of all things.

⤷ He’s aware of how his inexperience will cater towards a sloppy attempt, and it petrified him; the haunting, ontological realization that he’s bound to disappoint you. He’s tantalizingly conscious of the relentless ways his miserable self could potentially offend you with how out of tune he is.

⤷ Thus, he avoids initiating anything in fear of a countenance of disappointment from you. He wouldn’t be able to handle such an expression from you; the one who believed in him, and assured him he had value.

⤷ It’s tormenting; yearning for something yet persisting to push it beyond his own reach. At times, he claims himself to be a masochist. Relinquishing his desires in favor of uncertainty.

⤷ He’s already milked his luck; being in a relationship with you was enough to be considered a lifetime worth of luck. As much as he yearns for the feeling of his lips upon yours, he musn’t. He’s already been selfish enough, claiming you as solely his lover.

⤷ Yet the humanistic temptation seemed to encapsulate him within its clutches, easing his mind into a fantastical realm of the ever-so ontological sentience of how your lips would feel.

⤷ Nagito, much to his dismay, was reluctantly selfish. His desires to bask within the essence and encompass of you, you, you overriding his belittling mindset of his absent worth. He wants to smother himself in shame at the thought of taking more of you, but the urge is increasingly suffocating.

⤷ He wants you. He wants you in your entirety. A selfish yearning that he undeniably loathes himself for and insists that he never act upon. Subduing to a misery of helpless longing in which he’ll never allow himself to be satisfied with relief. Nagito, really and truly, was a masochist.

⤷ Even as the inklings of inclinations plagued his every thought, seeping into his casual behavior, he resisted.

⤷ For every moment in which he’s seated beside you, his eyes flickering downwards to admire what he truly craved to graze his own lips upon, he resisted. Biting back his urges and swallowing the remnants of greed.

⤷ He knows it’s become unfair to you. A cage of degrading thoughts compiling over him and staining his heart with the perpetual ink of self-loathing has managed to poison your hope amongst him. With every time you steer your face to meet his, gazing into his eyes for any hintings of unwanted touches, he reels himself away; your lips meeting the skin of his cheek instead.

⤷ It devastates him to be poignantly aware of the doubt he’s inflicting upon you; the despair he has induced within you.

⤷ He’s riddled his professions into a mangled cobweb of mutual desire. Each seam a confession of his absolute, undeniable yearning for you; for the entirety of you. A selfish feat, but one you’ve astonished him with how complying you seemed. Would you truly want someone like him to take this much of you?

⤷ Truthfully, he attempted to gauge himself into believing you wouldn’t want him to. That every instance you attempt to initiate a kiss, it was merely a coincidence; a mistake.

⤷ But he knows better. Nagito is as self-loathing as he was clever. He knew how to read people and decipher situations expertly. He was aware of your genuine intentions, and yet he continued to bury himself beneath fallacy; excuses.

⤷ It’s selfish, selfish, selfish! He knows better than to continuously withdraw from you, when he swore his mere purpose was to provide for you. He’s your devoted lover; the one who gives you all that you ask under no condition nor reciprocal.

⤷ And yet you’ve provided him with much more than he could have ever imagined; much more than he was aware he could be seen as worthy of.

⤷ Time and time again, you’ve wagered yourself in order to reel in his temptations; allowing him to succumb to the piercing tendrils of greed. Hook, line, and sinker.

⤷ One can only dwindle in denial for so long before they’re subdued. The ontological realization that you, in fact, share his desire. That the yearning to press his lips atop yours, smothering you in a newfound world of intimacy, was mutual.

⤷ It’s gradual; a build up of overwhelming tempation as well as the underlying guilt of daring to reject your request. Yet, as ticks of time pass on, he finds himself surrendering to the pith of his long-lastingly suppressed infatuation.

⤷ Fingers curling beneath your chin, he secures a hold your face, cradling it to tilt ever-so gently. His grip just barely burrowing itself into the supple skin of your plush cheeks, inducing a slight pucker of your lips.

⤷ Nagito—with hesitancy painting the canvas of his visage—smiles upon your startled yet covetous expression. A glimmer within your eyes that rivals even the stars as you begin to flutter them to a delicate close; anticipation seeping through your lidded eyes.

⤷ He falters momentarily, pondering of what scum like him has the audacity to hold you this way. He knew he had no right to be cradling your face, pulling you in to just barely graze his lips atop your own pair. Your breaths fanning in synchronized gasps.

⤷ But he pushed forth, leaning in to close the prolonged gap between you two, sinking into the kiss.

⤷ A moan is muffled admist your joint lips as he parts his lips to envelope yours once more. He savored the sensation; the warmth of your lips atop his, the brush of your lashes against his cheek, and the engulfed mewls that you’d unintentionally released.

⤷ He treasured the entirety of that moment, smothering himself in the aftershock as each breath he took that melted with yours was electrifying.

⤷ Even as the two of you pulled away—taking the opportunity to relieve yourselves of the tension and regain steady breathing—he realized the true intensity of his passions; his craving that seemed to be perpetual.

⤷ He realized that he, Nagito Komaeda, was a selfish man. Claiming your lips under the engulfing of his virgin pair. He realized his greed as he took a deep breath, and leaned in for another taste.

then kiibo would get all frustrated wondering why shuichi doesn’t seem impressed so eventually they snap and just ask shuichi directly what he thinks of it and they’re kinda intense about it lmao

“so? did you notice my new upgrade, shuichi? what do you think about it? how does it make you feel? are you impressed? I am very impressive!”

I wonder if miu would get tired of watching it all and just tell shuichi what this thing’s all about haha :’D

You had told him you went to your room to draw

“Hands up, feel okay, which heart can I break today?”

He was amazed by your singing, how focused you look while drawing, as if nothing else was there or had ever existed. You were so entranced with your drawing, and the music playing

God, Humanity is beautiful

He quietly knocked, and said softly

“s/o?”

You quickly turned, your face bright red

“K-Korekiyo? How long have you been there?”

He comes over and kisses your forehead, looking at your sketchbook

The two pages were filled to the brim with drawings of this.. man?

“These drawings are lovely, darling? But who is this man?”

You look at I’m happily

“This is Jack Stauber! He makes a lot of odd music, it’s all kinda short but really good!”

He nods intently, listening carefully as you talk about this odd man for a solid three hours

Kiibo heard you listening to Without Me by Eminem

He was quite surprised

All he heard was “FUCK YOU, DEBBIE”

“o-Ohmy goodness!”

You turn to see a confused Kiibo

“Oh, it’s just Eminem! He’s my favorite!”

Kiibo is still confused

You play a few more of his songs, and Kiibo seems to really like it!

You two spend the day listening to his music

Ryoma heard you listening to Japanese songs

He asked you what it was, and you replied simply “Vocaloid!”

He had heard of vocaloid, but never heard any songs

They seem alright!

You smile, asking if he’d like to hear more

He says sure, why not!

He goes to investigate

(This one isnt really accidental, but it kinda was at first)

- It would take a bit of effort to turn him on, but when you did, it’d take a while for him to “calm down”

- When you came in wearing your casual home clothes, short shorts, tank top, no bra (already making him a bit turned on), and asked if you could sit next to him, he didnt mind at all

- He jokingly said “Hey S/O~ How bout you come sit on my lap~?” “Ok” “Haha! Im only ki-”

- Before he could finish, you were already on his lap. He was both suprised and caught off guard when you did this, and that made you put on a mischievous expression

Shuichi just logged off!

well, that’s probably why Miu’s avatar wasn’t moving.

all of ‘em are in there already except for Kaito, who comes running in at the body announcement.

hm.

he actually would, he basically sentenced Kaede to death already and if he didn’t ~pursue the truth~ it’d be breaking his promise to her. he wouldn’t be happy about it or anything, but even if Kaito killed someone he’d tell the truth about it.

talking about stuff~ Kaito says he believes in Shuichi because he’s his sidekick and they’ll investigate together, etc.

Kaito says it’s not a problem because Shuichi isn’t the type to lie even if they work together, but since Kokichi’s being so persistent about it, he says that they won’t work together this time then.

Shuichi thinks that this is definitely some kind of trick of Kokichi’s, but he also knows that Kaito isn’t going to be convinced to just ignore him, so that’s how things are.

not a ton of information in the file. no external injuries.

apparently Kokichi’s going to be hanging around Shuichi to make sure Kaito doesn’t “bother him”. i’m fine with it! Shuichi is much less enthused.

if you spend so much time being suspicious of every little thing Kokichi does, all you’re going to do is wear yourself out, Shuichi! if he’s done something the damage is already done, so all you have to do is deal with it and figure things out.

let’s talk to people!

Tsugumi apparently saw Miu about 10 minutes before she approached Shuichi, and when she approached Shuichi was about the same time they heard that loud noise.

Maki was checking out the computer and found out that if someone’s avatar took fatal damage, they’d die from shock. that’s probably something that Miu should’ve told them from the start!

oh, Kokichi just brought up the fact that she didn’t tell them. now Shuichi’s wondering about that, too.

the red bear offers to help “avenge his mommy’s death” by checking to make sure the files haven’t been tampered with. they haven’t, and he also found something else:

log-in and log-out times! Kaito logged out well before everyone else (over an hour before anyone else), but otherwise nothing seems like it’s out of the ordinary.

oh, here it is bigger.

Kokichi was being mean to Gonta, so Shuichi stepped in, but after that...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ at least you’ve got another person actively helping the investigation now, i wouldn’t really worry about why it’s happening until it becomes a problem

and then they found Miu’s avatar. she’d apparently volunteered to check the outside of the chapel, so that’s why she was outside.

hmm. he says he didn’t look at Miu, so he doesn’t know if she was alive or not before he left.

why wouldn’t you look at everyone else after being logged out of something like that, wouldn’t you want to see if anyone else had been logged out at the same time?? who the hell has something like that happen and just goes “gee, better go take a nap and not look at any of the other people to check if anything’s gone wrong”?

it’s possible, especially since it’s Kaito, but what the heck.

anyway, moving on... Miu’s body being the way it is makes it seem like she died a painful death and that she might’ve been struggling to breathe when she died. strangulation?

hey, it’s poison! from Shuichi’s lab, probably, like Kokichi is saying. apparently it’s a very lethal poison when ingested directly (not mixed with anything else), and it gives the victim bloodshot eyes.

Shuichi doesn’t know who brought it in for sure, but he does know whose chair it’s in right now.

you can say Kokichi’s name in your own mental narration, Shuichi, it’s okay.

anyway, this might not be the crime scene, so they’ll have to go back to~

yes! Kaito says that he’s going along too, in that case. a handful of others say they want to go back as well; Maki, Gonta, and Kokichi say they’ll stay behind.

i wanna see your tiny little avatar again... Kokichi says he has to stay behind to keep an eye on Maki, since she and Kaito are so close.

Kaito predictably gets upset at pretty much everything Kokichi says, even though Maki tells him to just ignore him.

into the virtual world~

yeah, but the loading point is in the middle. it’s obvious that there’s a way to the left side of the map from the right, since the wooden sign went down the river and ended up getting stuck on a rock on the left side. also, when Tsumugi and Shuichi heard Kiibo, they looked to their left--so they can hear things from that side.

that’s just what you’re assuming, Shuichi!!

hey, i found that earlier and Shuichi wouldn’t look at it!

virtual crime scene! ...well, they’re all virtual crime scenes, i guess... since this is a video game...

the cell phone can log people out just by saying their name, so that’s important.

Kiibo overheard Miu and Kokichi talking about meeting on the roof before they all split up.

...did she go sliding off the roof and into the wall of the chapel? because if so, that’s terrible, but also kind of funny.

geez, Shuichi, what kind of a detective are you. the lattice was in here. you were standing right on it!

looking through the binoculars and Shuichi wonders why the map loading point would be in the middle. is it actually in the middle? if Miu made the maps, she can do whatever she wants with that kind of thing...

time to head back! Maki showed up and said that Monotaro is done with the computer stuff, so they should all gather back in the room.

why would you ever want to draw something on his stomach...

anyway, Shuichi wants to ask him about his meeting with Miu.

there was a lock on the roof door that could only be locked and unlocked from the roof itself. Kokichi can pick locks in the real world, but idk if he’d be able to in the virtual world...

the hammer was the only weapon-like thing left, and it must have been left intentionally. the cellphone was in the simulation originally and Miu just never told anyone about it.

Miu’s avatar was classified as a “non-human object”. is that why she was able to get from one side of the map to the other? if the sign board can and it can go into the river, maybe it’s just because it’s an object.

oh, apparently Miu added a wall to the world. and yep, non-human objects can pass right through it, so that explains that.

also, Kokichi’s avatar had a setting that made it so that if Miu touched him, he’d be paralyzed.

and finally, there was a weird user error when they first logged in. Monotaro can’t get more specific about it than that, but something weird was definitely going on with one of their avatars.

with that last bit of information, it’s time for the trial.

it’s starting off well, clearly.

anyway, Kokichi says that Kaito poisoned Miu after logging out before everyone else, but obviously he didn’t. Kokichi himself made sure that Shuichi knew what that poison did (wrt eyes--Miu’s aren’t bloodshot).

the cause of death was the simulator. something happened to her in there.

Maki and Shuichi both think that she was strangled.

...was she strangled with the toilet paper???? nothing can break there, so it couldn’t have broken off even if it was used for something like that.

oh, hey, that’s the next question.

i mean, she wasn’t that bad. did i like her? not particularly, for the most part. would i say she deserved to get strangled by toilet paper? no.

...was Miu planning on killing Kokichi with the hammer? if she had it with her and Kokichi would’ve been paralyzed just by her touching him, that’s kind of shady. actually, that’s super shady, since she was the only one that knew about the hammer and the paralyzing thing AND she knew how to get rid of Kaito and put him on the roof intentionally. what the hell, Miu, Kokichi is obnoxious and said some terrible things to you, but that doesn’t mean you should kill him in VR.

and yep, it sure does look that way. the hammer gets brought up, since the toilet paper is pretty sure to be the murder weapon, and they ask why she had it.

apparently Miu was the one that asked Kokichi to meet her, so yeah, she was definitely going to try to kill him. and the poison was put in his seat so it wouldn’t be obvious what happened. Miu logged in two minutes after everyone else, so she had plenty of time to do it.

a mini debate about ~trusting friends~ happens again. once that’s done, everyone wants to hear from Kokichi, since he was supposed to meet with Miu and she ended up dead.

makes sense!

Shuichi stops everyone from arguing about how suspicious Kokichi is so that actual facts can be focused on. he wants to figure out the mysteries surrounding Miu’s death before they move on.

like, for example, how she got to the roof. she definitely was over there--Tsugumi saw her through the window of the dining hall. she got through via her secret wall.

aaa, Kaito interrupted Shuichi’s explanation about the wall and it startled me. why, Kaito.

...he did interrupt. i don’t think he’s just holding Shuichi back or anything, though. he is legitimately trying to help and his support helps Shuichi.

wow! why. she’s already dead! you don’t need to do that!

him saying that does get some hints from the bears, though, so...

again: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

he’s helpful in his own way when he feels like it, i guess. he’s just trying to have a good time.

speaking of that, the group has figured out that the sign must have passed through the wall, but they’re not sure how it got to the other side of the map.

and he does help Shuichi, because he says that it’s the virtual world, so normal common sense doesn’t apply.

yaaay, i actually know exactly everything i need to in this trial so far without having any trouble at all \o/

after the intermission, they try to figure out how the culprit got Miu’s body to the chapel if she’d been killed on the roof.

(also, something random i was wondering about that i finally got to find out by paying attention and listening: Gonta and Kiibo seem to be the only two people Kokichi doesn’t refer to as “last name-chan”--he just uses their first(/only) names.)

Kokichi, giving Shuichi the roof slope and everything else as a hint... that’s making it too obvious, geez. he should be able to figure that out without any hints!

why does Shuichi remember the lattice being in the storage room now when he didn’t remember it before... what the heck.

oh, Monokuma hates Sonic the Hedgehog. o:

~exposing Kokichi’s lie~

the one about him not going to the roof at all. he said that, but then he described the roof in a good amount of detail, so it’s bothering Shuichi.

she didn’t say anything about the roof...

:o aggressive Shuichi, huh.

wait, does getting aggressive mean lying back at him? i suck that that, Shuichi! i don’t know what you want me to lie about! uhhh... um. he could... pretend like he went into the salon and didn’t see Kokichi in there...?

oh! it worked on my first try! \o/

obviously everyone’s going to believe Shuichi over Kokichi. bu~t, Tsugumi would’ve seen Shuichi pass by if he’d actually gone to the salon, and she never noticed him.

he tried so hard... oh, never mind, she still believes him even though it makes no sense.

Shuichi could absolutely get away with murder at this point if that was something he actually wanted to do.

haha. what happened to being his ~partner~?

Kokichi figured out what Miu was planning and decided to work with Monokuma to make his own plan, is essentially what he confesses.

that’s not much of a revenge, though--

Gonta has no idea what he’s talking about. also, no one believes Kokichi. they still think he did it.

it’s true, there is. if Kokichi was touched by Miu he wouldn’t have been able to move, so there’s no way he could have killed her.

everyone still wants to say it’s Kokichi because they can’t believe Gonta is even capable of killing someone, but Shuichi thinks that something’s off. he knows how important it is to believe in people, but something just isn’t adding up for him right now.

aw, Gonta. :( but... i mean, Shuichi’s 100% right, they can’t just believe in Gonta and not pursue this. Kaito can get as upset about it as he wants, he’s the one that befriended a detective that promised to never turn away from the truth.

i didn’t get lost while picking the topics this time! \o/ this trial has been going pretty well for me; i don’t know if it’s because i’m more awake right now or if i’m just more used to the minigames...

anyway, everyone starts yelling because Kokichi yells at Gonta to say more than “i don’t know”, which is pretty much the only thing he’s been saying. Shuichi realizes that Gonta has been confused about things ever since they logged out.

and Gonta lost his memory because of it somehow. possibly because he put the cords in wrong.

wow, being a lefty really screwed him over there, didn’t it.

haha. that’s been Shuichi’s reaction to so much of what Kokichi’s been doing... that or just going “え?”

and honestly, by process of elimination, it is obvious who committed the crime. Kokichi and Gonta were the only two that weren’t accounted for, and Kokichi physically couldn’t have killed her.

i’ve got to be honest, i don’t want Gonta to die here, but i can’t help but be impressed by the amount of work Kokichi put into this and everything he’s getting from it.

he got to work with Shuichi like he wanted, he got revenge on Miu for trying to kill him, he drove a wedge between Kaito and Shuichi solely by using the truth against them, he got to plan a murder without getting punished for it, and he got to have fun with the trial while knowing all of the twists.

Kaito still refuses to accept it, saying that Gonta was outside the mansion when Tsugumi and Shuichi came outside, so he couldn’t have done it. but that’s not true, because he could have used the toilet paper to climb down from the roof.

he’s said it like 500 times, he’s there to face the truth. face the truth. you know, like he did when he essentially sentenced Kaede to death even though he probably really would’ve preferred to let her live somehow, because he knew how important facing the truth was to her and he basically promised to continue doing that so he (and everyone else) can get out of here.

it’s not about sides!

anyway, apparently Kokichi came up with the plan of using the toilet paper to exit the roof. he told Gonta to put it back in the bathroom, but since Gonta ran into Shuichi and Tsumugi, he ended up tossing it instead.

Kokichi tries to get Gonta to confess, but Shuichi stops him. he says if anyone’s getting Gonta to confess, it’s going to be him.

he’s much gentler about it than Kokichi has been, that’s for sure. what a sweetheart.

Kokichi looks like an evil knockoff Precious Moments doll in that last panel...

the little chibi people are cute...

i’m guessing that Kaito is the one that voted for Kokichi there.

...the people that died in this chapter were the last two i hadn’t spent any time with... oops.

Monokuma just made that...

anyway, Kokichi saw the outside world due to the card key. he asked Monokuma to reuse the outside world in the virtual world and then showed it to Gonta, which made Gonta even more confused about what he could do to help everyone (which he’s been worried about for a while now).

hm.

he won’t explain more than that, though. he just honestly thought he’d be helping them.

oh hey, Gonta noticed Miu go through the wall and that’s why she ended up being slid off the roof.

hmm.

hmmm.

honey, if you really didn’t want him to go, you wouldn’t have messed up during the trial.

what the hell did i just watch

anyway, people are upset and crying now. Maki tells Kokichi to tell them the secret of the outside world, now, so they can understand.

Kokichi doesn’t want to tell them anything.

Kaito gets more pissed off the more Kokichi talks until he’s had enough and goes to punch him again like he did before. but...

Kokichi noticed that Kaito seems to be slower than before, too.

anyway, everyone starts to ignore Kokichi in favor of helping Kaito.

oh, wow. that’s cold, Shuichi, you have his underwear in your inventory.

(i know that doesn’t change anything in the game, but it is kind of funny...)

Kokichi doesn’t seem too bothered by Shuichi saying that. he pretty much just says he’s bored and leaves after saying he’ll be the one to win this game.

after that, everyone’s 100% focused on Kaito, who doesn’t seem to be doing well at all.

lmao “my cold just got worse” what kind of terrible lie is that even

he says he just needs something to drink and to rest in his room. Shuichi offers to help him, but Kaito doesn’t want his help.

oooh, did he go back to using Shuichi’s last name? did that trial actually do permanent damage to their friendship? :o i figured it’d cause problems, but i wasn’t sure if Kaito would actually hold a grudge like this.

oh, his name is on there! i was wondering. that’s part of the reason i figured i’d be able to realize what it was if i saw it in Japanese, because if any part of “Ouma” was on there i’d at least know it had something to do with him.

...the reason why i started wondering about it is because i was going to make a stupid joke about grandmas in one of the earlier posts, since “Oma” is the German word for “Grandma”, and then i remembered that’s actually how they spell Kokichi’s last name here. >_>

that’s it for this chapter! idk what’s up with Kokichi, but i guess i’ll find out eventually. :U i need to go to sleep now because it’s almost noon. those trials always take longer than i think they do...

The first floor bathroom was in the opposite direction of you, so you would get their after him

As you walked there, thoughts buzzing through your head

‘Does he like me??’ ‘He rushed their pretty quickly...’ ‘Better reaction then I thought I guess?’

As you opened the door to the bathroom, Saihara hugged you while looking around to see if anyone else was coming in

‘S/O, I like you back, I don’t care if you are a guy, I’ve liked you for a while too.’

You smiled and hugged him tighter and kissed his cheek

His face went full red, which you chuckled at his cute face ‘I’m glad you like me Saihara, you are too cute for me not to like!’

Amami: Told From S/O

‘Today is the day’ You said to yourself as you walked over to where Amami was standing

‘Oh, hi S/O!’ Amami said happily as he saw you walk up to him

He saw my more serious expression and his smile dropped, ‘What’s wrong?’

You shake your head and look up at him with a small smile

‘Nothing is really wrong, I just have to tell you something...’

You look down at your feet and stutter out, “I l-like y-y-you.’

He looks confused, ‘What?’

You looks back up at him, ‘I like you Amami-kun!’

You both then just stare wide eyed at each other

‘I-it’s fine if you don’t think of me that wa-’ He cuts you off by hugging you and kissing your forehead

‘You beat me to it, I was gonna confess first S/O.’

You then smile wide and hug your new boyfriend back

‘Confessing to me face to face takes a lot of guts though, I’m sure I would’ve just given you a note or something...’ Amami says as he hugs you tighter

You chuckle, ‘It took me weeks to prepare myself, I’m still surprised I did it’

He then pulls back and grabs your chin, ‘Well it’s a good thing you did’ He said before he leaned in and kissed you

Kiibo: Walked into Their S/O Practicing the Confession

You were practicing your confession to Kiibo in the bathroom

Kiibo was walking to the same bathroom, he was making sure no one drew on him, as it was usual for Ouma to draw anything on the robot

‘Alright, I think I got this, just a few more tries so it’s perfect!’

You kept practicing, not realizing the door opened to the same boy robot you were ‘confessing’ to

‘Kiibo, I’ve had a crush on you for a while, I know it might be weird to love me since I’m a human, but I hope you still lik-’

‘S/O?!”

You turn around quickly to see Kiibo staring at you, clutching his chest

‘Y-you heard everything?’ You say, feeling tears slightly fall, your chest feeling like it’s squeezing tight.

Kiibo nods a little, ‘I-I’ve heard of these, they are called love confessions, right?’

You gulp slightly, ‘Y-yeah...’

He smiles at you, ‘And the ones who are confessed to usually accept and return the said feelings right?’

You nod again, looking towards the ground.

‘Then, I like you two S/O!’ You snap your head at him, who is smiling happily, ‘I didn’t think you would be able to tell that I had feelings for you too.’

You then have a small smile, crying a little due to being happy, and hug your new boyfriend.

‘Thank you for liking me S/O.’ He said sweetly as he hugged you

Kaito: Heard it in S/O’s Sleep

Kaito and you were hanging out at your house, a usual thing for you two

You two were watching a movie just choose one idk what he would watch-

After a while, you start to get really tired and drift off to sleep, your head landing on Kaito’s shoulder

You weren’t awake to see it, but Kaito was blushing and didn’t know what to do

‘Oh god he has his head on my shoulder,,,what do I do,,,just don’t move,,,’

But as he was silently screaming on the inside, you were dreaming of confessing to Kaito

You shift slightly and start to whisper some thing, which Kaito just looks at you wondering what you are saying

‘Kai..to........c..rush.........like....you.’

He tilted his head slightly, ‘Eh?? What does he mean?-’

Then he was cut off by you saying ‘I like you Kaito....’ as clear as day in your sleep

This boy is more red, and he jerks back slightly, jolting you awake

You stare at him, seeing his blushing face while he stared wide eyed at you

You put two and two together and tensed up

‘I’m really sorry! I didn’t mean for you to find out! It’s fine if you hate me! I don’t care if you don’t see me the sam-’

He then grabs your shoulder and kisses you, you going wide eyed even when he pulls away

He smiles softly at you, ‘I like you back S/O-kun, I just wasn’t expecting to find out from your sleep talking, I kinda was hoping to confess under the stars or something like that...’

You just smile and kiss the boy on the lips again ‘I guess you still could’

You guys then cuddle for the rest of the movie~

Gonta: Says it While Looking At Bugs

Walking through the park was a nice thing you and Gonta did often

He would always point at any bug he saw, which just looked adorable in your eyes

‘Ah, look at this S/O! It’s a Lycaenidae’ You look at what he his looks at, it was a blue butterfly

You smile again, and then your eyes shift over to a caterpillar, which looked like it had huge eyes, which made it look adorable.

Gonta saw your interest in the other insect, ‘Oh! That’s a Spicenbush Swallowtail Caterpillar! Gonta knows that they actually have really small eyes and those ‘eye’s on top are just for display!’

You smile wider, Gonta being happy over bugs made you so happy

‘As much as I love bugs, I love you more than any of them’ You said before you even realized what you said.

Gonta looks at you, as he crouched to see the insects, and you saw a slight blush form on his face

You looked at him, confused, and then remembered what you said.

‘Ah! I didn’t mean to say that, I mean I do love bugs, a-and, oh jeez, I didn’t mean to say that I’m sorry!’ You fumbled over your words and just put your face in your hands

Gonta grabbed your arms gently and pulled them away from your face, ‘Do you really feel that way about Gonta?’ He said in a kind, soft voice

You nodded, not looking him in the eyes, then Gonta smiles wide and hugs you tight

‘Gonta love you too S/O! Gonta was going to be a gentleman and try to confess first, but accepting your feelings is another thing Gonta can do!’

You smile as he just kind of swings you around while hugging you.

You then kiss his cheek, which makes he stop and stare at you, and smiles wide

‘Gonta shall be the best boyfriend for you S/O! It is what a gentleman like Gonta must do!’

Ouma: Jokingly Tells the S/O, Which They Actually Confess

It was the end of the day, you and Ouma were walking home as usual

But Ouma had a rather wide grin, he was planning on doing something, you could tell

‘Hey S/O? I need to tell you something~

You look over at the boy, who is grinning even wider, ‘Oh great what no-’

‘I have a crush on you~’ You face then erupts into flames, as you stare at him, his smiles falters a little though

You look into his eyes, he really isn’t lying

You smile, ‘Good, I really thought I was going to cry my eyes out today...’

He hugs you again, ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t think you react that way, I hope you can forgive me.’

You grin, “I’ll forgive you if you become my boyfriend~’ He stares at you wide eyed, before breaking into a grin of his own

Korekiyo: Gets Told From a Friend After A Fight

‘Just leave me alone!’ You shouted at your ‘friend’ as you two fought

Their eyes widened, and then they stomped away, ‘Hope you don’t mind me telling Korekiyo about your crush then!.’ They said before sprinting to the library

You only recognized what they said a few seconds later, seeing their feet turn a corner, and then you sprinted as fast as you could after them

‘What, please don’t!’ You yelled at them, but they ran into the library and shut the door

You swung the door open to see your ‘friend’ talking to Korekiyo

‘You know S/O? They’ve had a crush on you for over a year.’

You stare at them as they look at you and grin a sly grin, making you almost sob

Korekiyo looks in the same direction to see you, backing away and running away

‘Ooo, tough luck man, have fun running after them, if they didn’t already run to the bathroom to cry.’

He glares at them before running after you

‘He knows,,,,I’m done for,,,,why did I argue with them they were the only one who knew,,,,i’m so stupid!’

You then run into the bathroom holy crap everyone going to the bathroom to confess I swear and slam the door shut

You stare into the mirror and just sob, crying harder than you thought you could

The door slammed again, and you saw Korekiyo looking at your reflection in the mirror

‘S/O, your feelings are a beauty to me, and I must say that I return them.’ He says looking at you lovingly

You turn around quickly to him, ‘Y-you don’t hate me?’

He shakes his head, ‘No, quite the opposite, I love you S/O.’ He says before walking over to you and nuzzling your cheek.

You hug him tightly, as he hugs back, ‘You are the most beautiful thing to me S/O, how can I not love you.’

Hoshi: Gets a Text

You were scrolling through your phone as you got a text from Kaede

‘Sooo~ I heard you got a crush on one of our classmates~’

You stare at your phone, and quickly text her back, ‘What?? No I don’t!’

Right as you sent that text, Hoshi texted you, ‘You want to hang out with me tomorrow?’

You responded to his text ‘Yep! What are we gonna do?’

Kaede was still pursuing you though ‘Hmm, but I heard from Miu that you told her that you have a crush on someone~~’

You cursed out Miu, and responded to her ‘Alright I got a crush, did she tell you who?’

Hoshi also responded to your previous text, ‘I was just wanted to hang out in the library, if that’s okay with you.’

You responded rather fast, ‘Yeah, that sounds good!’

You put your phone down for a few seconds, and went to get some water

When you returned, you tapped the first text, thinking it was Kaede’s number, and typed ‘I like Hoshi.’

Then you get a notification, ‘No she didn’t, who is it?!’ You then felt your heart drop

You looked up at the name on the number that read ‘Hoshi’

You saw he was typing, and just placed your phone face down, and cradled your knees

‘Oh god god oh jeez, I just sent that to Hoshi, how the hell do I mess that up, what the hell?!?’ You mind was going a thousand miles and hour, but after a few minutes, you picked up your phone

You saw Kaede texting you again to see if you wound respond, and you saw 3 messages from Hoshi

You sighed, and opened the chat

‘...?’

‘Wait, you like me??’

‘S/O please respond!’

You slowly typed a ‘Yes’ and sent it

You saw him typing, and you could hear your heart in your ears

‘Didn’t think you actually would...well, I like you back just so you know...’

You stared wide eyed at the response, and smiled gleefully, ‘Wait, so does that mean tomorrow is a date then?’

It takes a while for him to response, but he says ‘...yes.’

You then go to Kaede’s messages and say ‘It’s Hoshi, my new boyfriend :)’ Then you got a few spastic messages from her for a while

FINALLY SOMEONE SENT TSUMUGI FOR THE CHARACTER ASK MEME… I’ve been waiting for so long. Bless your soul and dedication to never letting this character meme die, anon(s). It is hella appreciated! Obviously huge, huge, HUGE!!! #V3 spoilers ahead:

hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff (this was kinda difficult to choose… Slytherin kinda works too since Tsumugi is INCREDIBLY cunning and sneaky throughout the game, and takes whatever methods necessary to preserve herself and keep the killing game running smoothly… but I think Hufflepuff’s a better fit overall. Tsumugi absolutely is loyal to DR to a massively dark/twisted degree, and she’s always banging on about being SO NORMAL AND BORING GUYS & most of the fandom hates her for being so boring and lame compared to Junko that…. Yeah the one house everyone thinks is lame in comparison and accepts everyone into its ranks, fits best IMO. Plus I don’t like auto-sorting villains into Slytherin, haha.)

best quality(s): Tsumugi is an amazing foil to Junko, and I really enjoy both how different she is as an antagonist and how incredibly similar she is at the same time. Again I love how shamelessly sneaky and manipulative she is throughout the entire game, seriously play through V3 again and SO MANY of her more useless/off-topic moments are so goddamn suspicious in hindsight, the amount of foreshadowing is excellent.

I find Tsumugi’s complete lack of ‘true identity’ to be fascinating as well, since she is basically a gaping emotionless void of a person who tries to fill that hole with fiction. Just like Junko and despair. It’s kinda interesting how even ‘Tsumugi Shirogane’ comes across as just another character role she’s playing in hindsight. The huge amount of ambiguity surrounding her true nature and exact role behind the killing game is just really intriguing to me personally, just like how I loved Junko’s ambiguous nature in DR1. I hope there will be no sequels that ruin this aspect of her character like what happened with Junko (its gonna tho, sigh).

And honestly? I just find Tsumugi to be incredibly relatable. This sounds very concerning I know haha. But she is by far the most normal person in this series (which was obviously intentional), she really comes across as someone you could meet anywhere in fandom spaces and have a somewhat average/pleasant convo with about your weird interests. She’s a huge goddamn nerd basically. She’s everyone in this entire fandom (which people clearly Do Not Like To Be Reminded Of). And of course, I relate to being obsessed with Junko and being driven murderously insane by this awful, awful series, lmao.

worst quality: She has by FAR one of THE worst tastes in fiction I have ever seen. Don’t fucking tell me Saihara was ever going to be a compelling character arc, Tsumugi. I don’t give a shit about your fave boring woobie pretty boys. On a more serious note, I understand what they were going for with making her so background for the whole game, since she doesn’t want to draw attention to herself and only sees herself as an ‘observer’ watching the game rather than interacting with it… but I still think she should’ve been more involved with SOME pre-Ch. 6 events. Beyond I’M ALLERGIC TO REAL PPL!!!!!! Could’ve been used as more evidence of how much she flips out at any instance of her Fangan Ronpa scenario being slightly changed, and just. To have more time spent bonding with her so the Reveal is more painful for both the survivors and fans? If that makes sense. The Student Council was an okay start but that never amounted to much.

Kodaka is extremely terrified of fashion, clearly. The fucking wuss. Also I KNEW he would never resist making SHSL Cosplayer, well, cosplay Junko to troll everyone into thinking she was back again haha. Perfect successor mastermind in every fucking way, after Junko, Tsumugi is by far the best damn character in this series, and single-handedly made V3 worth the suffering. She’s a perfect addition to my fave archetype: “Cute Girly Girls who also are incredibly awful/evil”. DR gives me so many of them! It’s the only reason I stay anymore.

Holy fucking shit this got so goddamn long. And I still don’t think I explained my reasons for liking Tsumugi’s character very well! I feel like I’ve left out so much… I’ll end it off with this: her design is fucking adorable and her Japanese VA smashed it, especially in the last trial, with how smug-sounding and uncaring she was with every new reveal. So goddamn great. And I might be one of the few people who actually… LIKE her English VA? It’s so goddamn squeaky and obnoxious I love it haha. It’s actually perfect for her character. Piss the fandom off even more, gurl.

im making the college au free for anyone to write about/draw if they want, so this is now a V3 GAY COLLEGE AU BASICS POST. for more info see my #GAY FLOOR AU tag.

roommates (this is in a separate post in my tag but i’ll do it here too for clarity) Amami - Kaede Miu - Tenko - Kiibo (kiibo is not a student, he is miu’s project. he can still talk. he mostly hangs out in their room though) Ouma - Gonta Angie - Himiko Saihara - Kaito Maki Tsumugi - Kirumi Shinguuji - Hoshi

naegi is their RA (resident assistant, this means he is like their floor dad). he’s a bi trans dude. maizono is also there a lot. maizono knows everyone and is extremely gay. miu also knows souda from her engineering classes. feel free to throw anyone else in there as you wish.

everyone uses canon pronouns, except shinguuji, who uses they/them. people forget a lot but they don’t really mind. kiibo uses any pronouns seeing as he is a robot.

FLOOR INTRODUCTIONS

“Why don’t we go around and introduce ourselves? I guess your name, your major, and an interesting fact about you would be fine.” Makoto looks at the ceiling like he’s searching for answers. “I’m Makoto. I lived on this floor as a freshman, and I liked it so much I came back. I’m a psychology major.” Kaede nods. “I’m Kaede. I’m a music major with a focus on piano, and I’ve performed at concert halls all over the place.” “Rantarou. I’m undecided. Haha… I can’t really think of anything? Kaede and I came here together, how’s that?” “That’s fine,” Makoto says. “And you?” The loud blonde girl from earlier speaks up. “I’m Miu! I’m the greatest engineer you’ll ever see, ‘n’ I got into college by building my own fuckin’ robot! He’s in my room if you ever wanna talk to him.” She cackles, spitting a little. Kaede edges away just the slightest bit. The introductions continue. “Korekiyo, anthropology major. I am unsure of anything about myself that could be considered interesting.” “I’m Gonta! Gonta came from a very small town to study insects.” “I’m Maki. ECE. Pass.” “My name’s Kaito! I’m on my way to becoming an astronaut, haven’t picked a major yet but it’ll probably be, like, physics or somethin’. I’m here as a straight ally.” “…I’m Shuuichi. I’ve, uh, actually published a novel.” A quiet uproar demands details. “It isn’t that good, but, yeah, a mystery novel. I’d like to do forensics or detective work someday.” “I’m Tsumugi. I’ll be creating my own major as well, since I hope to become a fashion designer. I love to cosplay, love all kinds of anime and games, and… yeah!” “My name is Tenko! It’s very good to meet you all! Tenko is studying fitness and exercise, a-and she apologizes, but she is very very afraid of boys!” “Ryouma. I play tennis. I’ll also pass.” “I’m Himiko. I’m gay and existing is exhausting.” This earns a few laughs. “Angie is an art major, and she loves avocados! Angie is from a reeeeaaally small island in the Pacific.” “I’m Kokichi! Haven’t decided on a major. I’m the leader of a secret society, and also I’m a liar.” He follows this up with a giggle, and a few people snort or chuckle back. “Kirumi. I also enjoy cleaning. I haven’t yet decided on a major, but maybe hospitality.”

canon pairings are currently saimomo, tenhimi, kaemaki (which is like the longest slow burn ever because maki never comes out of her room), and shirotojo. if you would like to make something happen that doesn’t involve any of the characters already paired off, go for it!
