I feel like... KOKICHI would be so confused if you initiated physical contact with him. (that wasn't violent by any means and held no malicious intent)

Like, he dances over peoples boundaries all the time and violates their personal space for shits and giggles, but when you don't seem to mind and actually engaged in it, he's genuinely concerned. Not because you're reciprocating, but because it's him, the least likeable person in the building.

He really wouldn't know what to do with himself in that situation, he just sorta freezes. Be it a hug, headpat, or holding his hand, his response is so delayed he doesn't even register what happened until you're gone.

Please, no one approach him, he's not okay.

Probably avoids you like the plague at first because the things you make him feel is so foreign to him and definitely distracts him from his supreme leader plans.

If he's ever questioned about it, he of course gaslight and denies everything and calls you weird or something but he has a hard time lying directly to you

Thinks you have some ulterior motive and calls you out on it but you're just standing there confused.

Once he figures out you truly are no threat to him, he's in a weird position. For starters, you're not gullible to fall for or aid him in his schemes and second, you're always hanging out with him when you can so he can't get rid of you.

He thinks it's annoying at first but once he gets over his ick with his emotions, he'll constantly align himself in your presence (Because he's touch starved and wants attention) and be his clingy self again.

He'll demand piggy back rides and drag you everywhere because he can.

Definitely becomes a leech and now you're stuck with him for good, not that you're complaining.

category: one shot, hurt-to-comfort, fluff synopsis: you think you’ve caught your boyfriend kokichi ouma in a devastating lie. turns out, it was just a prank, but this still doesn't sit well with you. how could he lie about something so serious?

you watched kokichi scroll through his phone on the couch beside you, casually flipping past various apps as part of his routine. it wasn't until you saw him texting someone else that your eyes couldn't help but veer towards his screen. you didn't want to come off as too overbearing or possessive, but it was becoming hard to shrug off. you had front row seats to the ongoing message exchange between kokichi and this unfamiliar person. it probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal on a normal occasion, but something inside of you told you to worry.

you felt your heart thump loudly against your ribcage as your gaze darted away from the screen. was it right to be this concerned? you bit your tongue and took a quick peek at what the messages said.

the first one at the top was from the other person: "i miss you, my love” a wave of shock crashed over you before you could fully process anything, but your eyes kept going. the message right below it was somehow even worse.

"when are you going to come back to me and stop hanging out with that dumb bitch y/n?"

your eyes filled with horror. you couldn't help trembling at the words on your boyfriend’s screen.

kokichi quickly swiveled his head towards you with the audacity to have a huge smirk on his face. he was already in the process of responding with a heart at the end of his message but your eyes were too glossy with tears to read any of the words attached to the message.

your hurt feelings spilled out before you could control them. "kokichi, how could you do this? i thought i could actually trust you, but you betrayed me. how long have you been talking to someone else?!" you tried to stay firm in your anger but it morphed into crushing sadness.

"woah, let me explain…” his voice immediately dripped with regret as he rushed to hold your face with both of his hands, but you batted them away from you. "please... you've already hurt me enough. why are you doing this? i'm leaving."

you held your tears in your throat as you got up from the couch and headed towards the door.

“WAIT y/n it was just a prank! i’m not talking to anyone else!” his breath quickened as he chased you, "i'm... so sorry. i took it too far didn’t i? i just thought the look on your face would be hilarious if..." his voice trailed off. it hit him that there wasn't any justification for his thoughtless prank.

as you turned the handle to leave, kokichi’s panicked voice rang closely behind you, desperately pleading for your attention. you turned to face him, hot tears starting to scrape your cheeks. “you thought my pain would be funny?” your voice cracked in disbelief. “that’s not something you play around with, kokichi. how the hell would this ever be funny?”

his big sad eyes were genuinely remorseful. he took a step closer to reach his hand out to you. “i know. i’m really sorry. i didn’t think any of it through like i should’ve. you might not believe me, but never meant to hurt you like this..” his voice trembled slightly as he spoke. “i knew you’d see my phone screen if we were sitting together on the couch. that’s why like an idiot, i thought it’d be funny i’d pretend i was talking to another person…” meanwhile you felt torn between your pain and the softer side of kokichi that you knew existed. “it’s just that… i don’t understand why you would do this,” you cried, trying to control your emotions.

he took a deep breath as he struggled to put his regret into words. “i know i’m not always the best at telling you how i feel, but i do care about you. i want to make you laugh, not cry. so please let me make it up to you…” his words were starting to pull your defensive walls down but the hurt was still fresh. “how will i know you won’t pull another hurtful prank again?” you asked, your tone cautious yet still yearning for reassurance.

kokichi took your hand gently, his tone soft and comforting. “no more thoughtless pranks. i swear… if i do it again you can kick me but, i know you won’t have to.” he chuckled a little as he spoke but his regret was still evident.

“ok,” you whispered, “but you have to show me that you mean it. and let me see the messages, because part of me is still afraid it was a real person.” kokichi nodded, handing you his phone the moment you asked. he lightly squeezed your hand. “i won’t mess up like this again. i’ll be there for you in the way you’ve always deserved.”

relief washed over you as this mystery person tuned out to be kokichi’s own number. this prank was stupid, you thought to yourself, shaking your head slightly. “i see it now,” you sighed with a quivering voice. “i’m sorry i got so upset. i know you were just trying to be funny but this just got to me for some reason.”

kokichi rushed to interrupt you. “no! don’t be sorry for anything right now, y/n. i’m dumb for not thinking before acting.” he buried his face in his hands. “sitting here doing nothing isn’t gonna help me, so i’ll do what i can now to help you. because that’s what matters most to me.”

you could feel the weight of your pain starting to dissolve. his arms opened for a hug as he leaned in, wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug. your tears fell against his shoulder as you cried. he rubbed your back and held you for a moment as you savored the feeling. you felt vulnerable having him hold you so closely but it soothed the ache you had in your chest.

“i promise, love,” he whispered against your ear, “i will never do anything like this again. it hurts me to see you cry like this, especially knowing i’m the one who caused it.” you relaxed in his embrace. he pulled away to look at you, hands perched above your shoulders as he spoke. “how about i treat you to dinner? i know it won’t fix anything but i want to show you i care somehow.”

you laughed at his effort. “okay babe,” you replied, “let me go get ready and i’ll be right down.”

“i love you, y/n,” he murmured softly, pulling you in before planting a kiss against your lips. “let me make it up to you”

You blinked at this in shock. Kokichi had a nightmare? You didn’t know if he was lying or not, due to you being so tired.

“I-I don’t know how to help you Kokichi..m-maybe I could—“

“Can I sleep here with you..?”

You were so shocked that you just blurted out, “What..?! N-No of course not!” You said. This made Kokichi cry again as he held onto you tighter. “But whyyy..!? Cant you see that i’m in distress..? I promise I won’t take anything! I promise I-I-I won’t kill you or anything..!”

“No…! E-Everyone will get the wrong idea..!”

“Then just act like how you did when we were in the underground passage..! Put them in their place-UH!!!” Kokichi whined. His voice getting louder. You hushed him.

“Okay-get out.” You said as you gently pushed him away. “Wh-What..?! Why?!” Kokichi said with a frown.

“GET. OUT!” You yelled. Kokichi let out a cry at your sudden yell. “No! No okay i’m sorry! Please i’m sorry..! I-I can sleep on the floor!—“

“Nooooo!!!” Kokichi got in between your arms again. He got silent and you sighed. You finally got yourself to go to sleep. Kokichi was quiet but he was wide awake, he looked up at your sleeping face. hiiiiiii can you please do Kokichi, Kaede, and Shuichi (separate) with a fem!s/o who needs help feeding themselves? He'd think about it for a moment, pretending as if he's against the idea but it's just to tease you, he'd feed you every day if he was asked to.

He loves being able to feed you because not only is he being helpful, but he feels good about himself knowing he can take care of your needs.

Definitely starts giggling every time you open your mouth to take a bite.

Like I'm not even joking, sometimes he'll drop it before he can even feed you because he's kicking his legs too much.

You'll raise a brow at him because he's starting to twirl his hair, and now he even insists on calling himself your wife.

"Kokichi wtf are you doing?" "Shhh.. Let wifey take care of you... Blinks eyelashes aggressively"

But the first time when you asked him to, it wasn't that he was uncomfortable, but you could've sworn he started to sweat and his hand was shaking the whole time.

When you ask him if he's okay, he'll "Nishishi~ Don't worry about it!" it's off but he's trying to make sure that he doesn't hit your face with the spoon or something.

Also he does a taste test before he feeds you. Just to make sure that it's not poisoned, yk? Totally not because he wants to see if the food is yummy.

Imagine if you look inside your bowl because for some suspicious reason, the spoonful's aren't even full. They're just tiny portions. And the bowl is like, 80% empty because your stupid boyfriend ate everything.

It's a disaster, but it's out of love.

Shuichi

REALLLLLLYYY shy about it.

He wants to so badly but it's like he can never get used to it. Not when you look so cute whenever you let out a little "aah" before taking a bite.

He'll short-circuit halfway through putting the spoon in your mouth.

Apologizes for EVERYTHING.

If even a bit of food was on your lip, he's gonna give you a thousand apologies, and he's not gonna stop until you tell him to politely shut up 😭

Hands down literally the best most caring sweetest girlfriend ever it's baffling.

Even if you don't ask to, she's still gonna feed you because she loves showing that she cares.

She's smiling the whole time and it makes your face get all hot every. single. time.

When you're finished, she washes all the dishes, and plays some piano for you afterward.

It gives you baby fever because she has that motherly kind of care to it.

- hm. its actually been a while since ive written headcanons

- it's very plausible to go the he teases you relentlessly because he's kokichi!!! route but consider. he's nice to u and only u

- it's out of character but i like it and i am the one writing so i make the rules

- kokichi is very clingy, if u don't like pda then well… be prepared to like it because he cannot go three seconds without clinging to you

- always holds your hand wherever you go, calls you silly nicknames, whatever gets you flustered, he does. ( he thinks its cute but he won't say that, he says he likes tormenting you )

- in private i think he'd be a lot less chaotic, but he still talks in riddles and doesn't say things straight a lot of the time

- lots of movie nights !! he feeds u popcorn lovingly but he also teases u abt it. pick ur battles

- sometimes u just sit together quietly in each others presence and it's really nice. till kokichi starts being annoying of course. but at least u got 10 minutes of comfortable silence

- he's surprisingly protective. since ur so shy and timid he'd speak up instead of u to defend u. it's rlly sweet actually, thank u kokichi <3

“I wanna help!” Kokichi said as he wrapped his arms around your own. You look over at him with a soft smile as your brows make a slightly confused look at him. “O-Oh…well, these are hard to make..I think it’ll be better if you just wait til their done so that you can eat them.” You said with a small sigh. Macaroons were hard to make, it had to be pretty perfect if you want them to turn out right. Kokichi frowned at you as his bottom lip poked out. “S-So your saying that…you don’t trust me?!” He said, fake tears welled up in his eyes. “A-After all we’ve been through..!? Your so mean Y/n!!!!” Kokichi “sobbed”. You blinked and silently went back to mixing the batter in a mushing fashion, getting all of the air bubbles out and deflating it. Kokichi stopped crying after he realized that his act wasn’t working on you so he started to beg and beg and beg, not leaving you alone.

“Please?”

“No.”

“Please?”

“No.”

“Why not???!!”

“Because their hard to make. I don’t want you-“

“IM NOT GONNA RUIN THEM!!!”

“…okay.”

“So I can-“

“No.”

Kokichi whined like a child as he put his face in the crook of your neck. You ignored him completely, even when he started to poke you. Saying your name on repeat. But when that didn’t work he said random stuff just to make you allow him to help.

“If you don’t let me help you then i’m telling Kirumi that your in the kitchen wothout her permission.”

“She knows that i’m in the kitchen. She’s the one that gave me instructions.”

“…I’ll tell everyone that you killed someone.”

“How? Everyone else is in the dining room waiting to try some macaroons. If you tell them that I killed someone then they know your lying, cause you came back fine and alive.”

“..I’ll rip up the instructions.”

“Go ahead, then I won’t even allow you to help at all.”

“Then-wait what?”

You gave him a side look as you smiled. “I did not only want you to mess up the process, but I also did not want you to help because I was gonna allow you to help me with the next batch.” Kokichi blinked. He could tell that you weren’t lying so his eyes sparkled up at that. “Really!?” You chuckled and nodded.

After you put the batch in the oven, you said that it was time to move to the new batch. You told Kokichi all what to do and watched him carefully, you had to instruct him on what to do or what he was doing wrong at small things. Of course he took breaks just to lick the colored whipping cream and the buttermilk batter as you set the new batch in the oven as you took out the old one. He piped the sweet cream on the back of the Macaroon shells carefully and placed the tops on.

“Good job, Kokichi.” You said with a smile as you looked at the big batches of macaroons. “You did great for your first time.”

“So…does that mean I can help you with more stuff?” Kokichi asked. You thought for a moment. “..since you were such a big help for me, sure. You can be my helper for when I make more treats.” Kokichi beamed at that. He was so excited to help you out with future treats that you make.

“Let’s wheel these macaroons for into the dining room shall we?” You asked with a smile. Kokichi nodded excitedly as he pushed the cart full of macaroons. You walked behind him, well, more likely speed walked behind him due to him walking excitingly fast. You sighed to yourself while chuckling.

Maybe having Kokichi as a helper aint so bad.

Ever since Kokichi was a child, he has been taken advantage of by people tricking him, because they were older and smarter than him. Because they knew more than him.

But that's exactly why he learned to figure out things on his own.

He has always been alone.

He learned quickly, that there was only one way, you're able to always hide your weaknesses. You just have to lie.

If you always lie, you're practically invulnerable, right? There is no way you can ever know if you actually hurt him. Or actually, found out any truth about him?

There was always the possibility, that he could have lied.

And that's why he can always stand out on top and act like everything was part of his plan. Always.

Of course, he is also used to people antagonizing him, because of that.

After all, who would want to be friends with a liar?

But he wasn't sad to be alone, it was better that way. Trusting someone means letting yourself stay open for attack.

And he would never do that.

One of the concepts that disgusted him the most were 'soulmates'.

He always claimed, he had no soulmate. That his soulmate died or something.

But that wasn't true. Almost every night he would stare at the ugly spot on his ankle and wish it was gone.

Sometimes he even thought, that maybe his soulmate really died.

There would probably never be a person, who can stand to be around him. And get to know the 'real' him.

Every time someone found their soulmate, they instantly gravitated toward them. Seemed to lose all their common sense. Some of them even sacrificed themselves for no reason, when their soulmate was in danger. Sometimes this even resulted in both of them dying, when one person could have survived.

Kokichi could never imagine him doing something like this.

And this is also the very reason, he was hoping to never meet his soulmate.

He didn't want anyone following him like a lost puppy, just because he happened to be their soulmate.

He didn't want anyone to like him superficially. But more importantly, he didn't want anyone to actually get to know him. Liking him for himself.

That would mean he would give away the only control he has over his life.

Unfortunately, fate didn't really want to go his way. He did meet his soulmate when he was in school one day.

You were looking at him with curious eyes when he strangely stared at the symbol on your collarbone for longer than necessary.

Your soulmate mark... wait, maybe the reason he was staring was because...?

"Hey, cut it out with your creepy ogling at their chest!" Your friend shouted at him.

Huh? You didn't think he was doing that...

"Oops, totally caught me." He grinned and looked into your eyes now.

Oh, so he was really..?

"Seriously, get away you creep." They shouted once again.

"Awww, you're so mean..." the boy said, looking like he was about to cry.

"I'll get going then, hehe." He grinned again. His demeanor changed so fast, that it caught both you and your friend off guard.

You didn't know why, but you felt like there was something off about that person... like you would meet him again.

And fate graced you since you did meet him again. Over and over again.

It was strangely comical, how you would meet each other in the strangest of circumstances. You wondered if he really was your soulmate.

But he immediately shrugged you off, when you presented him with your theory.

"No, way. I don't have a soulmate."

Even though that was common knowledge, there was strangely never anyone who confronted him with this, when he claimed he didn't have one.

"You don't have one? But... everybody does..."

Maybe people just didn't care enough? But you did.

"Yeah, you're right. I lied. It's actually a really sad story..." he trailed off, his face changing into one of sorrow.

...which was obviously fake. You wouldn't call yourself the best person at reading other's expressions in the world, but you could recognize that.

Which didn't mean he was bad at lying. In all actually... everyone seemed to always fall for his lies or think he was lying when he was telling the truth.

Everyone but you. Somehow you always knew when he was lying.

And it scared him.

"So, when I was very young, my soulmate tragically died in a car accident..." he continued his fake story.

"I know you're lying, you know..."

"That's kinda rude. You didn't even let me finish my fake story!" He fake cried.

"I don't know what it is in your past, that caused you to always lie, but you can drop your act around me."

"Wow, someone is an empath, huh?" He teased.

You didn't answer. You didn't know why he would lie about this.

If he really was your soulmate, he would tell you, right?

But if he wasn't, he had no reason to lie to you.

"Okay, I'll tell you. It's true, you're my soulmate." He shrugged.

Huh?

You felt surprised when he said that. Surprised, because...

"Aww, you look shocked. So, you actually believed that? Too bad, because it's a l-"

"It's the truth."

That's why you were surprised.

You felt it the moment he said it. You felt, that it was the truth and could never be a lie.

Now, that he's finally said it, you can actually know for sure.

When you looked up at him, he didn't have his carefree smile anymore.

He looked weirdly worried.

He hated this. He hated, that you could see right through him.

He wanted to repeat his 'Uh... no. It's really a lie.' but he couldn't.

You would probably notice it, if he would lie again.

But there was no way, right? There was no way you could actually know.

He already accepted, after your countless 'coincidental' encounters, that he was was probably not able to get rid of you again.

But still, he hasn't accepted telling you the truth.

But he wasn't able to. No matter how hard he tried.

Even if he would keep you around, he still had to keep you in the dark about his real intentions.

How could he comfortably live with someone like that? Always seeing his weaknesses. Always knowing, when he's lying.

If one day, he isn't sure anymore, if he's lying... would you know?

"I don't know why you're so worried, but if you want to, I'll play along."

"Huh?"

Of course, you always imagined having a wonderful relationship built on trust when you met your soulmate, but...

You fully believed that you could gain his trust one day.

"If you want to, I can act like I believe your lies. Like I believe we're not soulmates. If it makes you more comfortable..."

So you would lie for him? That sounded fun. But...

"Hm, that is no good." He answered, "If you're the soulmate of the Ultimate Supreme Leader, you have a reputation to live up to, you know? You have to be my partner in crime."

"So, no lying to each other, right? We have to lie with each other and fully trust each other. That's what it means to be partners in crime, right?" He asked with a childish grin.

He had this gleeful, child-like look on his face again. And this time it didn't even look too fake.

Of course, he didn't really instantly change from wanting to give you 0 trust, to 100%, but he wanted to try.

He really wanted to try.

After all, two lies are more convincing than one, right?
