Matt probably points out that her stress hormones are really high and that she should relax, so she tries to watch TV while he's working next to her to calm down, but she's just cringing over something that happened at work earlier that week and fidgeting a lot (pulls his blanket off the couch and puts it on and then takes it off and then puts it back on because she can't sit still). Eventually Matt gives up and is like "What is up with you tonight because you're stress hormones are CRAZY."

But you know what Matt's answer to calming her down would be? Sex. We all can see that coming from a mile away. Just a knowing look and a "Sweetheart, do you need me to get you off?" And at that point, how could the answer be no? 😆

You know, I'm drinking coffee right now, too. I am TERRIBLE at drinking water and I feel so called out 😭 But you're right, I need to. i know where i want to end up definitely, sometimes that can change in specifics a little bit but like. the main themes and shit are always pretty set. the middle can b a bit hazy but also has the main points outlined. sometimes characters just have a few more panic attacks than expected u know how it b <3

oh boy time to revisit the days where i didnt know what fanfic was!! i think technically my first fanfic was. sfge fic. i had a whole canon compliant story about a pair of twins, the daughters of the girl and boy from the snow queen fariytale, one had fire powers and the other water, the water one went to the school for good and the fire one went to the school for evil. they both got into the trial by tale and watched (ohgod what were their names) bane kill the good kid from woods beyond. uh yeah i had fun working out all their gifts and stuff, i had a lot of characters planned n shit i should see if i can find the word docs for that. as per usual the middle of the fic was very. hazy in the middle

BUN BUNFLORAS @bunfloras!! SUCH a big influence on both what i write and how i write most notably in finally being the one to convert me from past tense to present. oh dear can you see me? for properly introducing me to whump and kidza, both of which i adore reading AND writing. fuckin. whats her name. margaret owen is such a good writer her books are so good i love how well she worldbuilds and embeds it all so well into her stories. go read the merciful crow duology you will thank me.

i feel like saying 'just fucking do it' is cliche. but its the best advice i can give really. write for yourself even if you dont publish it, read things you like and work out what you like about it and see if you can put that in ur own writing. write FOR YOURSELF. dont write for other people it will become a chore and you will regret it. people wont enjoy reading it if ur not enjoying writing it

god so much. not everything has to be about romance. stop taking on so many projects with deadlines at once. stop tracking how many words u write each day. write what you want to write. its okay to stop enjoying smth ur writing

Hi! I have many things to tell you! That snippet of James and Sirius "you'll always have me." "That'll never happen." I'm gonna make it sad and tell you about how I thought of Sirius thinking or screaming this at James when he dies 'You promised!' (or we can gladly pretend that James doesn't die, that works very well for me) Then your 'babe' with Harry and Sirius that's so sweet and I love it. I recently read a fic where it used 'babe' casually too, in a 'sure/okay babe' way and I have fallen in love. Then I have this thought from another fic where Sirius does this calming gesture of running his thumb or finger from the bridge of Harry's nose around to his cheek and it was just such a sweet gesture that I had to gush about it to somebody you would get it! Cause Sirius would totally do this, anytime Harry needed calming or safety or more love. It would be so soft. Thanks for writing what write!!

OKAY SO the very first time I came across cry for me was on September 19 if I remember correctly, and I was reading through fics under the suna x reader tag because on that day my guy bff who i’ve liked for quite a while told me that he had a girlfriend FOR LIKE A MONTH ALREADY without me knowing and i was obviously heartbroken because i actually thought he liked me back because he started becoming really clingy and would always message me more often through out the day than usual. Since i was feeling angsty i wanted to read more angst (i do not want comfort pls thank u i want to hurt) and obv i went with suna bc i do not know what kind of crack writers put in suna fics but they are the best haikyuu angst hands down. THEN I CAME ACROSS CRY FOR ME and i was HOOKED i couldn’t not ask to get added to the taglist (BTW THANK U FOR ADDING ME AS THE V LAST ONE ILYSM 🥺) I didn’t think that this series would affect and impact me the way it did but i kid you not when i say that out of all the series i read on tumblr this was the one i awaited the most for updates. although it wasn’t the best for my heart and my mental health, i couldn’t help but get addicted. I love how complex everything was, how you portrayed every single emotion of each character and how I actually cried on most chapters because I sincerely felt y/n’s pain because of how you wrote it. I love how you plotted the story and how it took years before y/n and suna actually got together because it’s so realistic. With how suna was so tied to the bitch who shall not be named, and how much y/n got hurt, it wouldn’t have been wise for them to get together after without taking the time for themselves not only to heal but to forgive as well especially for y/n’s sake. NGL the last chapter had me worried i really thought rin was the one that was getting married and i had some *ehem* choice words i wanted to say but i reeled back because I knew suna and y/n weren’t just finished yet. Your last chapter was the most emotionally satisfying chapter i have ever read and not just in tumblr. You literally broke my heart into a million pieces throughout this series and managed to put it all back together with a single chapter. you stood straight, looking at what he was wearing. it looked fancier than usual. “what’s the lock for?” you asked.

he looked at it and smiled, “i remember, it was our second year of college. you were so mad that they changed the bridge. that they changed the fencing, and couples started to put locks on it.”

“and i was thinking we could do one too?” he questioned. you smiled and grabbed the lock. you bent down and locked it, he wrote both of your initials on it.

you stood up, but your boyfriend stayed on his knee.

he pulled a little box from his back pocket, a few pedestrians stopped and watched what was happening.

“when we were sixteen, we made a stupid promise to each other at midnight on this bridge. and i promised i would marry you. y/n, i told you ten years ago, when we were sixteen, that i love you.” he paused for a second to look up at your face, which was in shock. “and i still do, so please, keep the promise and marry me.”

you began by making a small snowball in your hand, and rolling it as you walked around your yard, to form a big snowball for the base. by the time you were done with the biggest snowball, bokuto was done with the medium sized one.

“okay, if we pick it up at the same time, it shouldn’t break,” you lifed the medium sized snowball with him. you set it on top of the biggest one.

“hey hey hey! y/n! let me make the tinniest one while you get the scarf, carrot, and eyes and smile,” he suggested. you nodded and kissed his cold cheek before heading inside to quickly grab the items.

you grabbed a pink scarf, a white hat that kou got you one year, and a carrot and some coal for the eyes and smile.

when you headed outside, you saw the snowman was all made. your insides felt bubbly as your childlike happiness was showing.

you ran out to him. “i got everything kou!”

“okay! you decorate, and don’t turn around until i say so. i have a surprise for you,” he replied. you were confused at what the surprise could be, but you agreed none the less.

you put the carrot in the middle of the snowman’s face. you then placed the eyes, and tried your best to make the smile symmetrical.

you wrapped the scarf around it’s neck, and put the hat on top. “okay kou, i’m done! can i turn around?”

there was a short pause, “okay now you can.”

you turned around to him on his knee, holding out a ring. your mouth dropped open to see writing in the snow.

@scoupsy (dreamy) - dreamy and i haven’t really talked much aside from interactions here and there, but she’s someone i really admire. i love how she doesn’t take anyone’s shit and knows what she wants. she’s really skilled in her areas of interest and takes pride in her excellent work. love that about her!! 

@julyprince (madison) - i was really shocked when madison followed me back because i love her work so much! i love how she is so consistent and dedicated (honestly, the constant 9 sets say it all <3). she’s intimidating at first, but she is actually so nice and likes reaching out!

@iiasha (emily) - you all don’t understand how much i LOVE emily. i can’t even explain why i love her i just do. she’s also one of the first people i followed when i came on caratblr and i’m so glad to have met her here on our own personal hellsite. emily’s the perfect balance of smart, cool, and funny (this sentence sounds lame as fuck but idk how else to put it)! i appreciate how much she likes her job and that’s something i hope to also imitate! i’ve said it before but i also really love how generous she is. emily also made my stay here on caratblr very enjoyable and i always love reading her text posts <3 i think tumblr junation would nearly die without her so go thank her rn. i actually hc'd marius as having a crush on luke very early. my first tot ao3 fic is basically just marius having a crush on luke HAHA. i only started shipping them for real recently when i realized that their dynamics together are GREAT ACTUALLY.

so yeah, here are my views/dynamics on the two!!!

characterization stuffs

luke and marius are pretty similar in a lot of ways. both of them are a little arrogant, both of them have the tendency to show off, both of them have their moments of brazen confidence. this would make them clash at first, yeah, but also would be a catalyst for them connecting and understanding the other.

their differences tho is what makes me very intrigued though like

first, luke is a very emotionally honest person most of the time. when he's pleased, when he wants to give a compliment, when he has something nice to say, he's open and upfront about that. marius on the other hand is throwing up masks and facades every second of his life. for example, when marius wants compliments and gets them hes like "HA! I TRICKED YOU! (pls dont notice how much i actually crave this oh my god)" it drives me CRAZY. marius, when he inevitably becomes the target of luke's emotional honesty, would be very overwhelmed. marius would think "you're okay just...being honest about all that? especially to me? oh. oh."

second, marius is a very hopeful person actually. it may not look like it because he hides it a bunch, but he is (link leads to marius analyses delving deeper into this). luke seems to be very resigned and even hopeless at times, time and time again, he's so scared of not being good. so when marius comes into his life, im pretty sure he completely believes in luke's goodness, pretty sure that marius would share his (cautious yet persisting) hope about the world and the people in it to luke. luke would be very overwhelmed by this. luke would think "you're okay just...believing that things are going to be alright? that im alright, that i'll be alright? oh. oh."

THEYRE VERY GOOD FOILS FOR EACH OTHER, IS WHAT IM SAYING!!!

okay moving on, heres some cuter lighthearted thoughts

luke and marius are in the early twenties gang of the nxx investigation team. yeah, even the late twenties gang have their moments of childishness, but luke and marius ksjdbfkjds they are a bit more obvious with how they can be fun dumb young people.

for example, them playing video games together and getting STUPID COMPETITIVE OVER IT. "loser has to give the other a kiss," marius smirks. luke smiles sweetly and says "marius, if you want to kiss me, you dont have to lose to me in Smash Bros, you can just go for it." marius immediately tackling luke as he, affronted, says "WHY ARE YOU SO SURE IM GOING TO LOSE, YOU ASSHOLE!!!"

height difference. marius is 188cm (6'2) and luke is 180cm (5'10). i know thats only an 8cm difference and none of the nxx boys are short but like, IT'S CUTE OKAY, and marius does not let luke forget about the 8cms. marius being like "awwww does my short boyfriend need something from the top shelf?" and luke being like "does my tall boyfriend want to be ignored for the rest of the day?" cue marius going "NOOOOO, I WAS JUS TEASING, UR SO MEAAAAAN 🥺🥺🥺"

these two can switch from flirting with each other to roasting each other at the drop of a hat, it gives everybody in the immediate vicinity a LOT of whiplash.

marius, when he wants to fluster luke, calls luke "babe." never fails. the first time he does that when around the other team members, luke quite literally trips on NOTHING, face RED AS A TOMATO

luke hasnt quite figured out how to get back at him for this, luke doesnt really do terms of endearment (nothing is more romantic to him than the cadence of his lover's name!!!) but im sure he'll figure out something. for the time being, he has to admit he enjoys being called babe.
