behold: HIGH GHOUL HEADCANONS

Part 2 that’s not really a part 2 to the baking headcanons below

(Includes Aether, Mountain, Dewdrop, Swiss, Rain, Cirrus, Cumulus, and Sunshine)

(A lil bit of spice 🔥 in Dew and Swiss’s parts but nothing NSFW)

Aether:

- Goes back and forth between super hyper and dead asleep

- One minute he’s bouncing off the walls and the next he’s face down on the couch and out like a light

- Embodies that one Tiktok sound: “I’m alive! I’m dead! I’m watching TV! I’m looking at you!” yk the one

- Says “I kinda wanna go on a run” every like three minutes

- Always trying to wrestle with Mountain and Swiss

- Tires himself out on his own

- Ends up falling asleep on top of the ghoulettes but they’re totally ok with it cause he’s fuzzy and warm

- All four of them always have the best nights sleep like this

Mountain:

- Accidentally overdoes it sometimes so he gets a little too high

- Poor thing never remembers how much he ingests/smokes the night before so he doesn’t know what his limit is

- Gets really existential and internally freaks out a little bit

- Will sit on the ground in one spot and will not move from that spot for hours

- Forgets to breathe and blink sometimes (I hc that ghouls don’t really need to do stuff like that but they do it anyway because it makes them seem more human)

- When he doesn’t overdo it (which happens about half the time) he’s kind of the same as he usually is

- Pretty chill and calm, very go with the flow, doesn’t talk too much, but he feels more relaxed so he likes it

Dewdrop:

- Gets hyper like Aether but ACTUALLY goes for a run

- Around the common room

- And steps on everyone’s tails

- All of what little common sense he possesses goes straight out the window

- Gets the munchies BAD

- He’ll eat anything and everything he can get his claws on

- If he ends up craving something he’ll try to make it but it never turns out well (see: the mozzarella stick incident)

- HORNY MF

- Always trying to make out with anyone within his general vicinity

- Tends to go for Rain and Mountain specifically though

- Super touchy

- Will start making out with someone and feeling them up then falls asleep before it goes any further

- Then he gets SUPER cuddly and clingy

Swiss:

- Gets super giggly and laughs at everything

- Like tears streaming down his face, shoulders shaking type of laughing at everything

- Will plant himself anywhere and sits in the weirdest positions

- Like laying against a wall with his legs on the wall or on a chair but sort of backwards in sort of a sit up position

- Will ALSO make out with anyone he can

- But somehow Swiss and Dew don’t always end up going for each other

Rain:

- Doesn’t have a clue what to do with himself when he’s high

- It blows Dew’s mind every time

- Swiss and Sunshine get annoyed at him for it

- Stares at himself in the mirror

- Like touches his face to study it

- Plays with his tail

- Whips it back and forth and tries to grab it as if he’s not the one moving it

Cirrus:

- She gets very relaxed and kind of like go with the flow vibes

- Also very touchy

- Likes to cuddle with Aether and Cumulus the most cause they’re the softest and super comfy

- But will cuddle with anyone really

- She’ll cuddle up to their sides and knead like a cat on their tummies

- Or just flop face first straight down on top of them and will stay like that for hours

- Also gets very smiley (not Swiss levels though but still) and looks so cute

- She’ll just grin at everyone and her ears will go floppy on the side of her head

- Just absolutely adorable

Cumulus:

- Soooooo sleepy

- Also will cuddle with anyone and everyone

- LOVES to play with people’s hair

- She loves to play with and braid Dew and Mountain’s hair and will spend hours doing that

- She likes to be on the bottom of cuddle piles most of the time but when she’s high she needs extra pressure

- Like she needs someone to SQUISH her

- Likes when Aether and/or Mountain lays on top of her

- Also super giggly

- Laughs at everything

- Normally her laugh is super light and airy but when she’s high she lets out cackles and snorts

- Which is also very adorable

- Falls asleep very easily

- Sleeps like a rock and literally nothing will wake her

Sunshine:

- Turns into a puppy

- Bounces off the walls

- Chases Dew around the common room

- They’ll play wrestle and team up against Aether

- Will chase her own tail for like 40 minutes straight

- Also gets the munchies kind of bad

- Makes really weird food combinations

- I’m talking like pickles and ketchup or apples and ranch

- Has a huge sweet tooth

- Likes to make some sort of variation of the pasta from Elf (iykyk)

- Eventually calms down and cuddles with Aether and the other ghoulettes

Hello ! How are you ? 🖤 Do you think you could write headcanons for the Ghouls going to karaoke (pleaaaase) ? I just had this thought of them absolutely having a blast while singing Bohemian Rhapsody (don’t ask me why 💀😭)

also i got a little carried away so i do apologize for that y’all 😭😭

- The ghouls are allowed one sort of fun outing to town per week

- Copia is required to chaperone but he’ll let them pick what they want to do and where they want to go, he just goes along to supervise

- To keep everything fair, the ghouls get to write down one idea each for what they want to do, they put the ideas in a hat, and draw one each week until they’ve done everyone’s idea

- On Friday night the pack gathers around the hat and Cirrus pulls a slip with the words “Karaoke bar” on it

- So karaoke it is

- On Saturday night all 8 of them and Copia pile into one of the ministry’s van and off they go

- They enter a mostly empty little karaoke bar and get a private room for singing

- They also order a bunch of drinks

- Swiss insists on going first and gives a very unique rendition of No Hands

- Dew and Sunshine cheer him on of course

- Cirrus and Aether absolutely kill their choice of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

- The others can’t help but give Mountain an amused glance every time his name comes up in the song

- He is very much not amused

- Cumulus goes next and sings Halo by Beyoncé so beautifully that Copia rethinks her being an Air Ghoul because she HAS to be part siren

- “Show off” Dew jokingly mutters when she’s done but Rain slaps him on the arm anyway

- Sunshine decides she wants to sing I Won’t Say I’m In Love from the Hercules soundtrack and gets Swiss and Aether to be the muses

- They do the little dances and everything

- Like i’m talking full on movie accurate choreography

- Rain and Mountain seem sort of reluctant at first but once they realize Disney songs are an option they are all for it

- They do Under The Sea from The Little Mermaid, Hakuna Matata from The Lion King, I’ll Make A Man Outta You from Mulan, and more

- Aether cuts them off after they sing The Bare Necessities for the second time

- After Dew has one too many margaritas (he drank 6) he BODIES Rap God by Eminem and Tap In by Saweetie

- When he starts singing CPR by Cupcakke Copia knows it’s time to go

- “But youuu haven’t sung anything yet Cardi!” Sunshine drunkenly points out from the couch where she’s leaning all of her body weight on a fast asleep Cirrus

- All the ghouls turn to Copia with nods of agreement

- “I— eh, eh-heh. That is true. I suppose one more song wouldn’t hurt.” Copia agrees

- He wanted to do Piano Man by Billy Joel but that wasn’t an option

- So he goes with Bohemian Rhapsody

- And boy was that a choice

- As soon as the ghouls hear the intro they get so hyped up

- Copia sings the intro and verse 1 and 2 by himself

- Dew and Aether vocalize the guitar solo but it’s really off pitch

- The ghouls join in verse 3 and they all do the high pitched voice

- They do the little call and response with Copia

- Sunshine, Rain, and Cumulus song the “Let me go” part and the other five ghouls sing the “We will not let you go” part

- When it’s all over they end up super giggly and in high spirits

- Then they got kicked out because Dew got too excited and lit a couch on fire

- But it was an overall 10/10 experience

If you read all of this to the end, you’re a real one! Also does anyone know of that tiktok with that group of boys wearing like navy blue bedsheets as togas and lip syncing to I Won’t Say I’m In Love cause that’s exactly what I imagine Swiss and Aether doing while Sunshine sings. My hc for what secondo's sermons are like 🌾

Secondos sermons are always uncomfortable, but ultimately the most interesting. He's spent his life the middle child, he himself the ignored one. So he brings attention to what the clergy ignores, what they don't want to talk about for fear of taboo (he'd snort, realizing the irony) .

His sermons are more like gritty ramblings and diatribes that were clearly off the cuff, whatever's on his mind...whatever comes to mind...He's too old to care what people think anymore, he doesn't want to keep his sermons cosmetic.

At the end of the day, he wants it to stick with you, stick with you till bed, and the morning after. He wants you to remember the way he said the words you'd rather not hear and the things he shouldn't have said.

My favorite thing about Simon Riley (at least how he is in my head ya know) is that he's either on top of it like he knows you better than anyone else-

Or its just, he's oblivious until the very end-

You were currently running a hundred-and-two fever, your muscles ached and everything in you screamed at you to sit down and take a nap. However, your boyfriend just got back from deployment and you were determined to make sure everything was perfect for him. And, thus far, it was- you put on some makeup to make yourself look alive and you just resigned to not speaking a lot, or eating. He didn't seem to notice, about forty hours back into being home and everything was perfect! Aside from the lingering feeling you may just drop dead at any moment.

So at that moment, you sat on the sofa with him, his arm wrapped around your shoulders, your hot skin covered by your hoodie and the hood of it pulled over to hide your face as you had aptly nuzzled into his side. You felt like death.

Rain Design (huits)

As I was saying in the Phantom post, since I've resumed writing the missing chapters of "Hide us in the shadow" (you can find it on ao3 or clicking the link) , I've decided to finally post some designs of the various ghouls. The two forms of Rain are because, in my headcanon, water ghouls are the ones who, to stay on dry land, need to find a more fake solution, as if they were constantly at 25% glamour, because the body wouldn't function properly. So that's the 75% ghoul version of Rain. (not gonna say why is it only 75 and not 100%)

One year for Halloween both Swiss and Cirrus decide to dress up as Spider Noir and accidentally recreate the pointing Spider Man meme when they realize they’re dressed the same because neither of them told anyone else who they were going as.

While I work on some requests here are some Era 4/5 Ghoul cooking and baking headcanons:

(Includes Mountain, Aether, Dew, Rain, and Swiss)

Mountain: Absolutely AMAZING at both cooking and baking but prefers baking, memorizes recipes really easily and enjoys testing out any new recipe he finds, loves making pastries with choux dough and his favorite thing to make is eclairs but finds puff pastry to be really annoying to work with.

Attempted to make a croquembouche (basically a tower of cream puffs held together with a kind of caramel) once, ONCE, but then he accidentally bumped into it and it collapsed and he cried for like 40 minutes. Aether sat with him and tried to comfort him as he sat in disappointed silence and REFUSED to talk about it.

Aether: Okay at baking but pretty good at cooking, likes getting recipe ideas from cooking shows, he and Mountain cook most of the group meals for the ghouls, he loves making any kind of Italian food but his favorite thing to make is bread, he makes a really good herb and sea salt focaccia, with fresh rosemary and thyme from Primo’s garden of course.

He found an old Emeritus family cookbook while cleaning out a storage room one time and made one of the recipes he found for Terzo and he loved it (and maybe cried a little bit because it reminded him of the food his mother used to make). He cooked for Terzo at least once a week after that because it filled him with so much pride when Terzo complimented his cooking. After Terzo’s death, Aether left the cookbook on his bookshelf and didn’t touch it for a year. One time Dew had a cold and refused to eat because even the idea of eating anything was making him nauseous. Aether offered to make him anything he wanted and Dew quietly admitted that he would eat Pastina if Aether made it. After that, Aether brought some of the recipes back out and makes them for the pack occasionally.

Dewdrop: Absolutely ATROCIOUS at cooking, somehow kind of good at baking, doesn’t like making pastries because of how exact the measurements have to be, loves making muffins and his favorite to make are blueberry but would never admit it.

He also enjoys sitting in the kitchen while Mountain bakes and helps a little bit sometimes, but really just likes to lick the spoons and bowls (and steal some cookie dough when Mountain isn’t looking). Every so often, in the early morning when the rest of the pack isn’t up yet, Mountain will ask Dew to make muffins for the pack while he makes the rest of their breakfast.

Rain: REALLY bad at both cooking and baking, like he could burn a pot of water if left to his own devices even though it shouldn’t be possible, has ruined multiple pots and pans, accidentally set the stove on fire once and screamed so loud Aether, Mountain, and Cirrus RAN to the kitchen because they thought he was being attacked.

Doesn’t have a favorite thing to make because everything he makes comes out burnt, but LOVES to eat. Will be the taste tester for anything and everything the others make, can and will fight Dew for the leftover batter from whatever Mountain makes. One time Copia was passing the ghoul wing and heard loud growling, worried that something happened he burst into the common area only to find Dew and Rain in a standoff over who got to lick the bowl covered in brownie batter that Mountain was holding.

Swiss: Possesses a little skill in both areas of cooking and baking but isn’t awesome at it, boxed mac and cheese and pre-prepared baking mixes are his go-to, but he can make the basics like scrambled eggs and a decent grilled cheese, likes to spontaneously bake boxed brownies or cupcakes because it’s little work for what, in his opinion at least, is a delicious reward (no hate to boxed baking mixes I love them too Swiss).

He does make great edibles though, like he is the go-to if you want an edible that doesn’t taste like weed, which can be dangerous. Accidentally left a pan of STRONG weed brownies unmonitored in the kitchen one time and when he came back and they were gone he panicked a little bit. On the plus side, they didn’t make it out of the ghoul wing so he didn’t have to worry about stoned Siblings of Sin or a pissed-off Sister Imperator. On the downside, they were very strong and so Swiss had a whole pack of stoned ghouls on his hands. Luckily Aether and the ghoulettes ended up sleeping it off but Dew, Rain, and Mountain did not. Rain went back and forth between staring at himself in the mirror and eating anything he could find in the kitchen. Dew chased his own tail for 40 minutes and then joined Rain in the kitchen and microwaved a bunch of string cheese because he “wanted fried mozzarella sticks but all there is is this stupid unfried mozzarella so I’ll fry it myself in the microwave.” (which is not how that works.. at all) Mountain almost gave Swiss a heart attack because he was just sitting in the dark facing the wall and Swiss is pretty sure he didn’t move or even blink for almost 3 hours.
