does anyone else think about uncle jack being a lawyer who majorly does divorce and crime proceedings and joyce had to be around the cases as a kid and then and when she grew up she did research into law that specifically helps things. getting into animal law to protect creatures and things that cant help themselves and know how to do it seriously. because she isnt stupid. really she isn't, she understands how some stuff works more than others because of how she grew up and her repression and neglect but she can put in the effort for things when they really matter to her. she learned the language to talk to her pen pal when she didn't know to write in english. she learned bird law in a joke of a parallel of jack. and she learned how to clean and how to look good in front of inspectors to keep the bar open because no one else will and she's keeping it alive

do you think there was ever a time in highschool where joyce got seriously fucked up like injury wise. what do you think she wouldve done. i mean in canon she's shown she can handle serious injuries whether through dissociation or determination and that comes from somewhere. i doubt bonnie was paying enough attention to notice when she didn't come home on time or the money for random doctor appointments. would she do what she did in elementary having mac kiss her scraped knee and put a bandaid on it? he spends less time with her in general but theres something instinctual of her calling him when she needs help, they're kind of a packaged deal, but i wonder if there was a time when she'd purposefully not tell him to either not worry him or because she was mad at him. idk this is nothing im just Pondering on teen joyce and it makes me sad

ok i’ve never heard of this at all before, admittedly i’m a bit new to the iasip fandom. who is joyce kelly???? i checked the blog you linked. i’m kinda getting it but there’s so much there it’s hard to find the beginning lol

i wanna warn you this post will contain heavy spoilers for season 13 episode 6. so. yeagh

joyce kelly is charlie. in season 13, episode 6, The Gang Solves the Bathroom Problem, theres a gag about how charlie wears a dress, wig, and heels while using the bathroom and uses the womens restroom. in the episode it kinda ends up fizzling out into a crossdressing thing and it feels a little awkward. theres also a later joke about charlie asks about the demographic of transgender people in philly, dennis says less than 1%, and then they ask "so where does that put me?" dennis replies "the majority", saying theyre cis, and they go along with it. turns out the original script for the episode got released(leaked? idk) and those two scenes, and even the rest of the episode, was pretty different. in the bathroom scene with the dress and wig and heels, dennis asks charlie if this woman has a name. she says her name is joyce. throughout the rest of the episode, they refer to her with she/her pronouns. the joke with her being confused about her gender instead ended with dennis telling her she was trans, the minority, instead. so uhhhhhh yeag!! a nice little corner of the iasip fandom refers to her as joyce now ^-^ ir typically she/her her, even if they still call her charlie.

going through loops and loops of "i got sick thinking about macdennis. i wanna write joymac" and then "thinking about joymac is making me so sad. i wanna go back to writing macden" and then it keeps repeating and i never actually write anything because i think about the characters too much and feel like a fuckin grouper with all my babys in my mouth. like oh my God dude. holy shit. can this show stop being so tragic

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

Feeding my inner hater today king 🙏 i enjoy shipping to a certain degree but people who write or draw seriously nsfw stuff of joyce ticks me off pretty bad id say? Like she is pretty blatantly ace coded on top of her canon trauma and its just kind of upsetting LMAO i think a lot of the fandom in their goes at shipping end up either deeply mischaracterizing them or end up making a scary toxic relationship that the show couldnt even conjure up, which yes is fun to explore sometimes ie macden can be pretty grating when people try to act like joydee would be a healthy relationship and ignore stuff from the show where its like no this would be sooo bad for everyone involved. Idk! I have a lot of thoughts on every individual gang relationship and i feel like people like to ignore the nuances involved in them which makes me sad because they're sooo interesting!!!
