I think through a series of misadventures evan’s stuck with his “stepmother” the other genesis. kind of just sitting apathetically while she does war councils and such. She would kill him for being “unfit” since he isn’t partaking in her glorious combat but she needs him he promised to teach her how to use his switch
we NEED the two genesises to be stuck together through a series of wacky hijinks ‼️ in a just world this would be a three part infinity comic

Every now and then when thinking/talking about ROM hacks, I’m reminded of those projects I see on romhacking.net where people take retro sports games from the SNES/Genesis era and update them with the latest season’s roster. This thought recurred just now, and this time I thought: why don’t they do that for other games?
Pokémon has seen a little bit of this, with ROM hacks adding every dex and gimmick up to Gen 8 into the Gen 3 games, but I think this should go further than that! What about Animal Crossing? Seeing something like Wild World updated to include items/villagers/mechanics from City Folk, New Leaf, or even New Horizon would be so cool! As someone whose favorite console ever is the DS, this would be a great hack to play, and I know I would eat it up! Games like Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and even Mario Party could play into this too, for much the same reasons.
I’m also a fan of those hacks that recreate a different game entirely, using this game’s engine/assets. What if we just recreated Animal Crossing: New Horizons in Wild World? Add all of the fighters from Smash Ultimate into Melee? Put MK8 tracks in Double Dash? The list could go on.
If I had much of any ability with regards to hacks like this, I’d be all over organizing projects like these. Unfortunately, I’m sort of at the whims of the many talented creators out there making hacks out of love and passion for the games. These are just some neat ideas I had that I would love to see become a reality :3

Worst Video Game Song Tournament Masterpost
The tournament has begun! We are currently in round 4, and each poll will be open for a week. I will also be reblogging each poll 12 hours after it is posted so that people in different time zones are able to see them more easily. If you don't want to see these reblogs, block the tag #12th hour reblog. There will be a total of 8 polls in this round. 4 polls will be posted a day for a total of 2 days.
When you vote, I would recommend listening to as much as you can of each song before voting, but how you choose is up to you. Remember to be civil in the tags and replies! Some posts will have propaganda included with the songs, but feel free to add more propaganda in the tags and replies, or send it to me in the ask box and I'll try to share it as soon as I can!

Predictions for Nintendo Switch Online
I think it goes without saying that the Nintendo Switch Online (or NSO) service has been controversial to say the least. The fact that we now have to pay for what used to be free online and the lack of benefits you get to subscribing has led to this service being received very poorly at least at launch. It's been about 5 years since NSO launched and a lot of that controversy has seemingly dried up either by new additions to the game library or simply the fact that we're just used to it at this point.
Tumblr media
Now don't get me wrong there are still detractors to NSO, but it seems as if this service has been accepted for what it is despite its flaws, although I do have to agree with some of the things said by folks regarding how the service launched and how it currently is.
Tumblr media
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I want to lay down some predictions regarding the future of this service as I've seen some wild things being proposed by fans that sound completely unrealistic and nothing Nintendo would ever regularly do. Starting with the obvious, what future platforms will Nintendo add to the game library?
Tumblr media
First things first, GameCube is not going to happen at least for a long time. I suspect Nintendo may add it once the Switch's successor is out but at this very moment it is laughable to consider GameCube right now. The biggest main issue is the fact that Nintendo themselves has been rereleasing GameCube games as full price Switch games. Metroid Prime Remastered and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door come to mind. I know for the most part the whole "things releasing outside of NSO means it will never come to NSO" myth has more or less died at this point but GameCube tends to be a special case here since these games still feel modern enough to resell as new games.
Tumblr media
Another thing is to completely throw out any consideration of any mainline Pokémon games appearing on the Game Boy apps. The spinoffs sure, but actual mainline games is a bit silly. If they were somehow to be added they would need to do a lot of backend stuff to get these games properly working and so players don't cheat with the regular tools NSO offers such as rewind and restore points. It's not impossible but I see this as too much work to be worth it if simply putting these out as digital eShop releases sounds much easier. Besides if every version was put out on NSO then you'd lose the magic of Pokémon just like that, and that wouldn't be fun would it?
Okay so what do I actually think NSO is gonna add to its game library? Well unless Nintendo puts out a Virtual Boy or a Game & Watch app then I suspect we will probably see more third party apps. One consideration I don't see a ton of people talking about is the PC-Engine and TurboGrafx-16.
Tumblr media
Games from these consoles have appeared on Virtual Console in the past on Wii and Wii U and a very limited number of PC-Engine games did release on 3DS only in Japan. I wouldn't doubt that Nintendo would add this as apart of their Expansion Pack, heck maybe even regular NSO if we're lucky. I would just love to see more NEC love (or well Konami love now).
Tumblr media
But why stop there when the Mark III and Master System could be added too? Sega is already on board with NSO with their Mega Drive and Genesis apps so this would be a great addition especially since these games have not been given enough love even by Sega. SG-1000 would also be cool but that might be a bit too niche for a service like NSO but who knows.
As for games, while there is quite a bit already on the service there are certainly omissions that are quite baffling so let's get some of the more obvious ones out of the way and in no particular order.
Gomoku Narabe Renju, Mahjong, Golf, Urban Champion, SimCity, Mario Paint, Super Smash Bros., Ridge Racer 64, Banjo-Tooie, Super Mario Land, Qix, X, Balloon Kid, Mole Mania, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Pokémon Pinball, Densetsu no Stafy 1-3, Mother 3, and Rhythm Tengoku just to name a few.
So lets start with one that might not be interesting at a glance but would be a great addition to the service.
Tumblr media
Tetris for the NES (no, not the Tengen version) is one of the more iconic versions of this beloved puzzle game, but why go back to this version specifically? I mean we already have Tetris on the Game Boy app and plenty of other Tetris games on Switch so what's the deal here?
Well for one, this version has never seen any kind of rerelease... kind of. This version in terms of how it played was ported over to Tetris Effect: Connected as a side mode but unless you knew about it I'd imagine not a whole lot of folks have dabbled with it and it's still technically not the original game.
Tumblr media
But secondly, the main reason why this mode even exists and also why I personally would like to see it on NSO is purely to make the game accessible to a wider audience considering the competitive scene of this specific classic version of Tetris.
Tumblr media
Being able to play this on NSO would mean a ton more people get to experience how this version plays and more importantly gives players another option of playing this without resorting to unofficial PC emulation. Obviously pro players are going to stick to original hardware but if you just wanted to practice or wanted a taste of this version then it's no wonder that having it on Switch would be a dream. Hopefully with the Game Boy version already being on the service this will increase the chances of this one happening.
So this next one is already planned to release for NSO in Japan but there's no word on it releasing internationally but regardless...
Tumblr media
...Kaeru no tame ni Kane wa Naru or as its unofficially known as The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls. It's an action RPG that's often compared to Link's Awakening to the point where in said Zelda game there's a cameo appearance featuring Prince Richard from Bell Tolls. This is one of the more well known Nintendo developed games that never left Japan and as of writing has never seen an official English localization of any kind and unfortunately there seems to be a trend with international NSO releases having Japanese games that have not been translated. So the likelihood of this not only releasing outside of Japan but getting a new localization for NSO is very unlikely but it's more than possible given Nintendo puts in the work to translating this in English. I'd imagine a remake of this game being far more likely to getting an international release if that were to happen and hey if it's in the style of the Link's Awakening remake that would be pretty cool.
So let's move away to one that might actually happen.
Tumblr media
This one's pretty straight forward and don't be scared by this being Japan exclusive as outside of some story cutscenes this one's perfectly playable as its mainly a puzzle game. It has seen rereleases in the past on Virtual Console and if it were to release on NSO it's very likely that it would release internationally since the benefit of Nintendo not putting in effort to localize these games means they can just drop this on the SNES app no problem. Also good time to mention that this also includes the original Wrecking Crew so it would be funny to see Wrecking Crew on the service twice.
So let's end this game prediction saga with one that probably will never happen but if it were to happen I'd be curious how it would be implemented.
Tumblr media
So let's get this out of the way, this is an M rated game. For a while it was believed that Nintendo would shy away from more mature games from appearing on the service but GoldenEye 007 on N64 at least in Japan indicates that Nintendo's solution is purely to bump up the rating of the overall app. So I'd imagine if this were to drop on NSO we'd not only see a rating bump for the N64 app but hopefully some kind of parental control option to stop players under 17 from playing this one. While it would be cool to see this on NSO in terms of being able to play it on a Nintendo platform again, I purely would like to see this get added just to see what they'd do to the app in response to this M rated addition to the service.
Tumblr media
And there are my NSO predictions as of November 2023. I do wonder when the next Nintendo platform releases if we'll see an uptick in support for the service but its likely that this slow trickle of games will continue as usual. I'd normally would wish for more platforms to be represented on NSO but the problem is that some of the ones already on the service are very lacking especially Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. Hopefully those libraries get beefed up soon.

I know y’all didn’t follow me for my nights time rambles about my ocs/sonic au stuff but HERE WE GO AGAIN
I’ve been playing Pokémon scarlet a lot lately so here’s what Pokémon my sonic au characters would have. Why? Idk just indulge with me for a sec. Im only really doing the main characters in this au so no shadow, rouge, cream etc. yet. Also I’m only doing two Pokémon each they would have, saying what team they would have will take me all night so LETS GO.
Sonic: shaymin and pikachu (of course sonic would find a mythical Pokémon by chance and pikachu is because of the smash bros ultimate trailer when he tries and save pikachu!)
Tails: vulpix and yanmega (vulpix is obvious but yanmega is a cool helicopter bug!)
Amy: tinkaton and shiny ribombee (tinkaton is Amy as a Pokémon lmao and she’d be the one in the group to find a shiny Pokémon that’s cute to)
Knuckles: falinks and sandslash (the falinks are actually based on knuckles story in frontiers with the lil soldiers! And sandslash cause they dig)
Shard: todegemaru and rotom (a steel type pikaclone to counterpart sonics pikachu and a rotom to mess with machines and chucks metagross)
Silver: espurr and hisuian braviary (silver deserves a cute Pokémon and a cool ancient Pokémon)
Elias: gallade and sirfetch’d (SWORD TIME BABY)
Blaze: espeon and ceruledge (…espeon just looks like blaze lol and ceruledge is a cool fire knight!)
Aleena: audino and bewear (audino is a musical healer like aleena and bewear is mama bear)
Sonia: plusle and purrloin (plusle to match manic’s minun and purrloin to cause mischief with)
Manic: minun and nickit (minun to match with Sonia’s plusle and nickit to steal stuff with)
Chuck: herdier and metagross (chuck needs a little lap dog for stress relief and a giant flying super computer to look cool)
Nigel: aegislash and drampa (Nigel needs a sword Pokémon lmao and drampa is just sweet and kind but extremely powerful when someone harms people he loves. Like Nigel!)
Ellidy: porygon and shiny rowlet (a Pokémon that can enter the cyberspace with you and a little green owl for gardening company)
Paulie: dragonite and togekiss (flying gentle giants!)
Brenda: grafaiai and joltik (she likes art and has electric powers she needs a cute spider and painter)
Tania: pichu and flittle (little Pokémon that can somewhat do no harm)
I’ll get back to drawing very soon! If you have any questions or ideas about this au or questions about my regular au: Sonic Genesis, feel free to ask!

Before I upload Luna Sapphire's Birthday drawing, I decided to show off some of the Recaps for 2022 when playing with my Switch. For Most played, I usually play Animal Crossing New Horizons, Pokemon Cafe Remix and Colors Live. Cause with Animal Crossing New Horizons, I usually like to play with friends or do some random tasks as well as for doing the Happy Home Paradise stuff if I have time to design a house. For Pokemon Cafe Remix, I play it a lot during lunch time and it's the only Free to Play Title I enjoy playing. Especially if I wanted to go to the Pokemon Cafe like if I want to visit Tokyo, Japan. And for Colors Live, I always like to draw since Colors Live is the app I use Besides Medibang Paint.
For 3+ Years of Play, not only I play the two I just said, but I do enjoy playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a lot. I usually like to do online races and even try out the new courses they got for the Booster Pass.
And for Games I played at Launch, I have played Puzzles and Dragons since it just look interesting compared to Puzzles and Dragons and the Mario version on the 3DS, then I got Kirby's Dream Buffet which I enjoyed the game a lot, even though my sister didn't like it much. But I would imagine having Shadow and Spot bring Lisa, Tory, Riya and Vanilla eating the sweets and strawberries after performing ballet together. Especially like if they're going to eat ice cream together. And for Sonic Frontiers, I have told you in the last post when I was sick with COVID, I do enjoy the game since the settings and music just puts me at ease. And for the favorites besides one of titles I told you guys. Not only I like the titles I told you guys, but I have favorites too. Since I do like Magical World 2 since it is my Guilty Pleasure. It's different when I usually play Kingdom Hearts all the time since 1, 2 and 3 were so good.
I have played NES and SNES a lot since that I played back in the past like if I have nothing else to do. Even like when playing some of the classic games I do enjoy, and since I got into the Nintendo 64 and Genesis, it be amazing for me to play when I have nothing else to do. And my sister does enjoy the Nintendo 64 as well since she does enjoy Mario Tennis. For Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury, I am getting progress when going through 3D World and once I beat it, then I'll move onto Bowser's Fury and see if I can get through the game as well. For Puyo Puyo Champions, I love the game so much it's something I play if I have nothing else to do like every time I play Puyo Puyo, I always imagine Sonic and Puyo Puyo are both related. Some people said that's because they're both made by Sega, and some people also said like it is like we remember Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. I remember it, my dad's remember it, they're both really good. For Smash Bros. Ultimate, I do sometimes enjoy playing online, but I do like to practice some matches when I want to enjoy some fun and enjoy adventure mode. That's why I was thinking of wanting Smash Bros to have an RPG game and collaborate it with Square Enix. And finally Miitopia cause this version is much better than the 3DS version since you get a Horse and customize a Player how you feel about the character, especially when you have some friends you know and care about that want to be in the story. And I also put like characters I know from Anime or cartoons or other video games as well.
Finally my Game Trends. I do like Racing and Multiplayer, but I do like to educate by drawing stuff and educate some imagination besides reading and math. And for Simulation, it sure likes to put me at ease when playing a good Simulation game like Animal Crossing, same when communicating as well. And for the Puzzle games, I do like to ease up my mind with some good puzzles. Especially if I want to solve any clues or cases.
And that's all I have to say for this Year's Recap for the Nintendo games. Hope we'll look forward to next year when Switch make these new titles in the future.

Why I’m Excited for Sonic Origins
Tumblr media
Let me preface this entry by saying this: I am not the biggest Sonic the Hedgehog fan in the entire world. I know, what a shocker! Why on earth would Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and all the other characters in the franchise be the air I breathe, the food I eat, and the blood that runs through me? This is absolutely ridiculous!
But, what can I say? I was always a Nintendo person growing up. I loved Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon. I never had much exposure to Sonic outside of playing Sonic 3 on the Wii Virtual Console and knowing that he was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I always knew of him as that one blue hedgehog guy and nothing more.
As the years went on, though, I got to learn more of his past and the games he appears in. I can recall staying over at a friend’s house and playing some of the Sonic Classic Collection for the Nintendo DS and experiencing some of the older games that way, too! But one fateful day- on my birthday in 2015, I received a present that would open the door to the entirety of Sonic’s past: the Sonic Mega Collection for the Nintendo GameCube.
Tumblr media
This was an incredible collection full of charm and nostalgia (I’m absolutely not the only one to think so!), and I had so much fun playing it. Although, I never actually beat any of the games on there, not even once! Sure, I unlocked all the games by tediously starting and exiting them so it would register in the in-game counter, but outside of that I only played each game for about half an hour at most. Maybe it was the GameCube controller, or the fact that I wasn’t used to the expansive levels or unfair deaths, but the games never entirely stuck with me.
Years later, of course, I did go back and beat the first Sonic game with the 3D re-release on 3DS, albeit with save states, but it’s a feat I will never forget. The first Sonic game I have ever finished. Period. Over the years I did try to finish Sonic 2, 3 & Knuckles, CD, and even Sonic Mania, but I never got too far with them. As I played, the drive to finish them just lessened and lessened. They were still fun, of course, but something about them just wasn’t clicking with me. There was no “push” for me to complete them.
Fast forward to today, and I am filled with more determination than ever before, as I’m one of the people eagerly awaiting an all-new Sonic collection from Sega: Sonic Origins.
Tumblr media
Sonic Origins is a new collection featuring Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. Not only is this the first time Sonic CD has been included in the same collection as the other Sega Genesis titles (something that was originally going to happen in Sonic Mega Collection, but was ultimately scrapped), but these are also the first time that these “remastered” editions are coming to consoles! It is also the debut of the Sonic 3 & Knuckles remaster, a long-requested game from Sonic fans.
The other remastered games have been released previously only on mobile devices, with the exception of Sonic CD, which also released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Steam. They feature widescreen support, extra levels, enhanced special stages, and bonus playable characters.
Not only will Sonic Origins include those features, but they will feature an all new story mode with animated cutscenes, missions, and other tweaks and additions to make the games more beginner-friendly. The “Anniversary Mode” features unlimited lives and a new coin system that lets players retry special stages to get all those pesky Chaos Emeralds.
Tumblr media
This mode alone has me very eager and excited to try the games again, and actually beat them this time. As stated before, I was never a big fan of the unfair deaths and challenges that led to me giving up after running out of lives. Some might say “But that’s Sonic! If you just give up and don’t learn how they work, you’re just not a real gamer.”, but it’s just how I like to play! This isn’t a piece on easy modes in video games, though. That’s another tale for another day.
One thing that people have voiced complaints about is the cost of this collection. The standard edition retails for $39.99 USD, while the deluxe edition including all the DLC is another 5 dollars on top of that. Some think that the price is a bit much for what is essentially 4 Sega Genesis games and one Sega CD game, some of which have already been re-released many times beforehand. It didn’t help that the initial pre-order chart that Sega released was the most confusing thing to read on the planet, and made it seem that things were locked behind certain editions and DLCs, reminiscent of some Ubisoft games.
Tumblr media
Thankfully, the chart was updated later on to further clarify that some things were pre-order bonuses, and that you get everything by pre-ordering the digital deluxe edition. This didn’t exactly stop the complaining, though.
Tumblr media
I may be a tad biased being a bit of a newcomer and all, but personally I don’t really see a reason to complain here. These are five fully remastered titles, in full widescreen with many enhancements and extra modes. For years there has been a demand to put these remasters on platforms other than mobile and an even higher demand to make one for Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and I was definitely one of those people hoping for both. After years of waiting, Sega had finally given them what they had been asking for.
I have heard many great things about the widescreen remasters of these Sonic games, that they were made by veteran Sonic hackers that know the classic games very well, possibly even more than the original developers! Their expertise with past hacks, the remasters, and even creating Sonic Mania makes me very excited. Finally, no more of having to play on a touch screen!
To end things off, I would just like to say that the release of this collection makes me hopeful that Sega will set these as the standard for future releases of older Sonic games, and that other companies like Nintendo and Capcom will take note and faithfully remaster their older games and package them up in a nice bundle like this.
And no, Nintendo. We don’t mean sticking a SNES ROM from 1993 onto a disc. Again.
Thank you for reading this all the way to the end, everyone! This is my very first post of (hopefully) many on here, and the fact that you stuck around means a lot. If you have any suggestions on this post or ideas for future blogs, please feel free to leave a comment or send me a message! Socials can be found on my Contact page.

Long time no post.
So I recently picked up a Sega Genesis Mini. Of course I hacked it right away. I’m not all that familiar with Sega’s library outside of what was on Sonic “Mega Collection, and I’ve played Sonic a billion times, so instead of starting with the Hedgehog, I decided to start with Marvel Land... It’s a game I’ve been interested in but never made much progress in, mostly I felt obligated to play it because the lead character, Prince Tamlit, looks exactly like the theoretical son of my two OCs, Shino and Sheila. But also, i just love me some cute platformers.
Anyway, the game itself is tough, but fair. Everything kills you in one hit, but you get infinite continues. No save feature, but passwords are mercifully short. Good thing too. This game has warps that can take you backwards. I even found a warp back to the first level in the last world... luckily the warps are usually two way so it’s not like you have to reset to the password screen if you take a wrong warp every time.
Your only means of attack is to jump on the heads of the enemy... you get a power-up like Super Mario Bros, but like... I don’t even know how to describe it. Prince Talmit starts creating after-images, but it doesn’t increase his speed or anything, Instead, pressing B just causes the after image chain to whip around and adamage things... okay???  That’s an odd attack, you’d think being a Dragon Boy, he’d get fire breath or a tail whip but nope... weird after image attack... oh, there’s also wing power ups that’s both a power up and a liability. It gives you crazy high jump power, and you can tap A or C to decent slowly, but later levels have a lot of spiky roofs, so you have to use it carefully.
The bosses are an odd mixed bag... each one is a carnival mini game instead of a direct battle. If you lose even once, you have to start at the beginning of that level. They’re usually pretty fair but I would prefer if they allowed for at least one practice round. The only true Boss Fight is the final boss. He still has a mini game but you have to do real battle with him on top of that, and I had a tough time of it, I feel like it just amounts to mashing the B button and being lucky enough to not get hit by his lightning fast beams.
Story was nothing special, typical evil bad man takes over a kingdom ( that just happens to be carnival themed ) and also kidnaps some girls, so some boy has to come save the day.  Whatever. It’s an 1989 game. It looks decent, very cute style not quite like other 16-bit games. My only gripe with the visuals is that no collectibles have any shading on them making them look like MS Paint doodles.
I had a good time with this little platformer, it’s always nice to have a non-Nintendo game that isn’t super mainstream on my list of finished games. Hopefully that list will keep growing.
One more thing... this game has bonus levels where you catch falling stars in front of a parade of Namco Character Floats, and when I played these levels it gave me two thoughts... 1. I really don’t know shit about Namco besides Pac-Man.  And 2.  Famous Video Game studios sure had much more fun character designs back in the day before everything became a race to be realistic... where the hell are these characters now, besides being Smash Ultimate Mii costumes and Spirits??

Video games from all eras and systems get a worldwide release across Thra. What happens next?
First: they have absolutely no idea what these are and many of the POV games are confused for magic glimpses into people’s lives or a form of dream etching. Hopefully there is a human around to explain that these are simulations and games.
Second: Ok this is awesome?? Can you imagine being in a fantasy world AND there’s videogames? period... Anyways, a lot of the simpler games are a big hit. Racing games, sport sims, classic games, etc. Stuff you’d find on a sega genesis are pretty popular with gelfling, a lot of visual novels and choose your own adventures are big hits with Vapra especially. Spriton both hate and love farming games. On one hand, they can just farm in real life, on the other... Stardew valley looks really fun.
Dousan like exciting mystery games with puzzle aspects especially. Point and clicks where you go on item quests are especially popular. Stonewoods enjoy team games and multiplayers. Smash bros and the like are the biggest hits. Grottons LOVE party games. They will play hours of that jackbox shit and like, board game sims. Drenchen like fps and fighting games, but ones with lighter aesthetics. They’re more into Overwatch than call of duty. In fact, most gellfing are pretty uncomfortable with extremely graphic fps games.
Sifa love RPG’s and open world adventures. Stuff like Horizon Zero Dawn and Minecraft are their favorite. They also really like puzzles and a bit of horror, anything with a good storyline too.
Mystics are not a fan of violent videogames, some of them dont even like the most lighthearted ones like pokemon. Most of them, it goes in levels really. UrSu is only interested in stuff like Tetris, UrMa will play minecraft on peaceful, UrSol will play it off peaceful.... catch UrLii playing halo tho.
The Skeksis would be very interesting. Most of them would get a kick out of vidja game violence, but they’re jumpy by nature so they’d get VERY spooked by horror games. Games where you can just go ham and mindlessly grind are thir favorites. SkekOk and SkekTek will appreciate a good storyline, but really they just want to go apeshit ingame and I for one can respect that. They like to do that thing where one or two play and the others watch and hype them tf up

So when I was an egg in high school, I created a self-insert OC named Yar Kramer. I used him for a bunch of RPs, and several works of fiction, only one of which I actually completed. There were like two sprite comics and one thing I made that was literally just "sprites + dialogue and descriptions of the action", plus an unpublished and incomplete novel.
RP
The original original roleplay was on a Hitchhiker's Guide website called the H2G2, created by Douglas Adams as an attempt at realizing the eponymous Guide (which has been largely supplanted by Wikipedia). My username was originally "Adolescent White American [wronggender] Who Likes 47" (I liked the number 47 to its frequency in Star Trek); people shortened this to "Yankee Kid, likes 47" and subsequently "YK-47" and just "YK", which I backronym'd to "Yaradovich Kramer"[sic], after Yaridovich from Super Mario RPG and Cid Kramer from Final Fantasy 8. He was originally a coolkid Jedi in a red jacket, but at some point I retconned it to generic "psychic powers."
I also roleplayed him on a few RP MUDs, but I don't really remember any details there.
The "Original" Story
The novel was going to be called "Red Jacket", I think. "Yar Kramer" was a witness-protection alias, and his original name was Daniel Lancaster (hmmmm, someone's primary identity doesn't match their birth name!); he and his family had been forced to work for an evil organization called Project Robinson, which intended to create genetically-engineered espers for reasons I'm not sure about now. Project Robinson was led by an evil scientist called Dr. Krause and a computer named Mother Brain; I justified stealing the name "Mother Brain" because there were three unrelated video games which featured a character by that name (Metroid, Phantasy Star II on the Genesis, and Chrono Trigger).
The Grim Reaper was a woman who talked in underlined dialogue, and whacked people over the head with her scythe rather than actually reaping. She'd changed her form in the 1960s because she found the whole "skeleton" deal to be depressing. She had a black motorcycle with a flame pattern and the text "Pale Horse", and the souls she collected traveled in a pink sidecar which said "Binky" on the side in Comic Sans (where "Binky" is obviously a Discworld reference). When I created this in the 00's, there was totally nothing significant about a character who'd clearly changed her gender, nuh-uh.
Yar's love interest was Mackenzie Robinson, one of Project Robinson's creation. Despite the fact that the gummint had an active hand in extracting Yar's family from Project Robinson, there was some FBI/CIA spook called Agent Pinkerton who hounded Mackenzie like Inspector Javert. I know he had a classmate named Eckhart, who was this ratty-faced jerk with a heart of gold, who was inspired by one of my RL classmates.
I also found a half-written script for a comic, which gets as far as a prologue, followed by a scene which estalishes the witness protection business. Yar jokingly introduces himself Trigun-style as "Yaradovich Halvorsen Thompson-Stryfe-Gainsborough Donatello Leonard Raphael Michelangelo Farnsworth Anderson-Smith Jean-Luc Jones Solo Pepper Tibloxley Amelia Fayette-Mahoney Kierkegaard Williamtonshireworth Melora Kramer I." Wow. Let's see, "Halvorsen" and "Kierkegaard Williamtonshireworth Melora" are clearly made from whol cloth, and I'm not sure where "Jones" came from, but other than that, I can see in order ... Trigun (Thompson and Stryfe), Final Fantasy VII (Strife and Gainsborough), all four Ninja Turtles, Futurama, The Matrix, Star Trek, Star Wars, Cowboy Bebop (re-engrished "Pepelu Tivruski"), and Slayers. Again, wow.
First Reality
The "main" sprite comic, which was a sort of Final Fantasy parody made mostly in RPG Maker, and which ran from 2001 to 2004 on Keenspace. Yar Kramer was a "Neo-Samurai" (basically a ripoff of SeeD from Final Fantasy 8), fighting alongside a dude named Shigeru 'Gary' Oak (Gary Oak except as an adult, with a gunblade and dressed as Seifer Almasy, with no sign of any pokemon), and Tina Branford (Terra Branford without her tragic backstory).
The setting was incomprehensible if you didn't have detailed knowledge of Final Fantasy 6, 7, 8, and also Mega Man X; nearly every single place name was named after something from Final Fantasy except for Death Mountain, where they went to in order to get the Triforce (long story). A pink-haired goofy-and-hyperactive Celes Chere was the princess of Mysidia, and was a FF8-Sorceress; she frequently went in disguise as a thief named Fobby, and used a Reploid named Dancer as a body-double.
The main villain was named Darklumen, and his evil plan was to destroy the world by weakening the fabric of existence by leveraging sprite comic cliches, thus demonstrating that I have always been Like That. (The fact that I had a direct author avatar called the "Ultimate Guardian Force" with semi-omnipotent powers over the comic isn't even worth dwelling on, because omnipotent "author" characters are par for the course with sprite comics.)
The other party members: Kefka Palazzo, who was the court jester for Mysidia; Enerion Imusen, a half-Esper who was invented from whole cloth, who overcame his hangups about being half-esper with Tina's help before he got killed off by the bad guy; and "Rock Light" (because one of the reality-damaging sprite comic cliches was "Mega Man is present"), who was actually the Great Guardian Force Yu-Yevon in disguise for convoluted reasons.
In the ending, it's mentioned that Gary marries Princess Celes, and sort of vaguely implies that Yar ends up with Tina. (Tina made actual romantic overtures to Yar halfway through the comic, but they were interrupted by shallow comedy.)
I absolutely refused to let go of a running gag in which a male character would say something that broke the fourth wall, and at least one female character would immediately yell at him for doing so.
... I actually found some MIDI songs in the First Reality files which I personally composed. Well ... I say "composed", but the Darklumen final boss music was clearly based on the Super Smash Bros 1's Final Destination music with techno-twittering from All Your Base, one was based on a boss theme from Final Fantasy X combined with anime music, and Yar Kramer's personal themesong was chiefly based on Glyde's theme from The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
YaraY
The other sprite comic, hosted on a subdirectory of First Reality's site. The name came from Yar's evil twin, Ray Remark ("Yar" and "Kramer" spelled backwards), and also from the Japanese expression "yare yare" (translated in JJBA "good grief").
It was a shallow Bob and George-esque thing with Mega Man sprites, and invovled Yar's shenanigans opposite Ray Remark; a straightlaced roommate with blue hair named Elbert Ssab (I don't know where I got "Elbert" from, but I came up with "Ssab" after noticing that "Elbert" backwards is "Treble"); a Reploid named Jive who was an orange recolor of Zero from Mega Man Zero; and a girl in a pink shirt named Kira, whose character concept began and ended with "hyperactive blonde girl." At one point, there was a comic which depicted First Reality as an actual console RPG being played by Kira; this comic was then ported directly to First Reality.
I abruptly stopped updating it in the middle of a story arc in which Jive went off with a group Maverick Hunters which inexplicably included Zio from Phantasy Star 4, who was just there to be generically evil rather than actually pursuing any of his canonical goals.
Super Adventure Yar
And finally, the "sprites plus dialogue" thing. It used whatever anime, video game, and internet characters I was interested in at any given moment, and there were inserts from several people I knew online. All of whom were basically overpowered in some respect, i.e. one of the friend-inserts was literally just a redheaded Goku in a trench coat, except his Saiyan name was "Suckarot". It was the most absurd and ridiculous of these things.
Yar was your basic inexplicably-overpowered action-shounen protagonist, and people kept going "What!? Why is he so powerful!?" (If there was going to be an explanation, I never got a chance to give it and I don't remember what it was, but I doubt there was anything reasonable.) Of course, this was also true of pretty much every protagonist.
His fighting style involved throwing energy blasts, and his signature move was named "Island King Kamehameha", because I knew the etymology of the Dragonball attack, but the kind of creative person I was at the time was that nuance, self-awareness, and "general understanding of what I was putting into my stories" were something that happened to other people.
Mayl Sakurai was impulsively violent with a squeaky-mallet.
At one point, while the protagonists were discussing a plot point which Mayl wasn't present for, she said, "What the hell are you talking about?" and then tossed an entire burger into her mouth.
Cut Man's NetNavi was FishMan.exe.
Yar bought Chii Chobits from Strong Bad, who ran an unbelievably shady second-hand electronics store; Chii's copycat tendencies extended to copying other peoples' magic and superpowers.
He also bought a generic NetNavi and expressed the intention to customize it, but all sign of NetNavis were dropped after a few episodes.
The "ageless faceless gender-neutral culturally-ambiguous adventuring person" (AFGNCAAP) from Zork/Enchanter was one of the main characters. They frequently used spells from Enchanter such as "gaspar" ("provide for your own resurrection" -- basically like a Final Fantasy "Auto-Life" spell, but AFGNCAAP was also able to use it on others), "vaxum" ("make hostile creature friendly", and every single target which it actually worked on promised to kill them after it wore off), "krebf" ("repair willful damage"), and "talcor" (healing; this seems to be something I made up myself, because I can't find any references to it in Enchanter canon).
I insisted on using "he/she" and the like instead of just the singular "they", wow I was deep in the egg in 2004. But they did say "I don't have a gender" at one point!
Magus/Janus from Chrono Trigger was trying to take over the world using robotic Sinistars. His minions were "the Terrible Trio", which consisted of Onslaught from Marvel vs. Capcom 1, Dalton from Chrono Trigger, and Dynamo from Mega Man X.
I stole the "now I'm wet and on fire!" joke from the webcomic Adventurers! during a fight between Dalton and AFGNCAAP.
Magus got a Vegeta-style "suddenly I happen to be on the same side of the heroes" redemption with the sudden arrival of, um, the Saiyans. Starting with Raditz as just a retread of Dragonball Z.
After Raditz was beaten, he sent a message to Vegeta and "Zappa", who was just Nappa but with a terrible wig and an atrocious southern accent; I have no idea what I was going for there.
The planet Arlia from Dragonball Z was populated by clones of Alia from Mega Man X5. It had the same fate as in the show, namely that Vegeta and Zappa just casually blew it up after going on a rescue-a-princess quest.
There was an "It's a gundam!" joke there.
The Goku-expy friend-insert taught Yar how to fly Hitchhiker's Guide-style ("throw yourself at the ground and miss"), and how to use bullet-time.
Mayl trained under Magus. At one point, while she was fighting a friend-insert with a sniper rifle (who'd previously stolen everyone's wallets for no apparent reason), Magus remarked that she had "hidden potential" and noted that in her hands, her squeaky mallet was just as powerful as the sniper rifle.
Vash the Stampede showed up, and the plot promptly started getting derailed as everyone around him dropped everything to try to claim his $60 billion bounty (Onslaught, to Dalton and Dynamo: "We'll split it 50-50-50!").
At one point, Vash ran off with Chii for reasons that only slightly made sense in context, and Yar chased them to a town called Las Eisley.
The three of them got into a bar fight at a "restaulant"[sic] (I thiiiink this was originally actual engrish from Trigun itself?) which completely wrecked the building.
After the bar fight, Yar called up AFGNCAAP to make repairs using the krebf spell; AFGNCAAP asked, "Was all the damage willful?" and Yar replied, "Well, I definitely proceeded in the full knowledge that massive destruction would occur." Due to the rules of sprite-comic comedy, this was enough for krebf to work.
There was a "Dear Strong Bad, how do you type with boxing gloves on?" joke.
In the middle of everything else, I started writing an episode introducing Valkyries and Loki -- which displayed a surprisingly deep knowledge of Norse mythology on 18-year-old-me's part -- but I never finished it and my files don't even have the sprites for the main Valkyrie character, who was another friend-insert.
... All of these continuities just feel amazing to me in retrospect, because this is the kind of thing that can only happen in fanfiction. Only something using existing characters, our existing associations with these characters, can possibly reach this level of ridiculousness.
Which isn't to say it's all fun and games, though. I was a particularly un-woke Rotten Egg, which meant that there was rampant sexism, and lowkey fanservice. The concept might look fun, but the execution was invariably "the worst parts of the sprite comic fandom."

10 Random Questions
Rule: Answer 10 random Questions and tag 10 simmers!
I was tagged by the lovely @mdpthatsme and @hystericallytragicsimmer :) Thank you both so much and sorry for answering these late 😅
1. If you could travel one place in the world where would you travel?
Probably Egypt! I would love to tour and visit the Great Sphynx and pyramids and learn more of ancient Egypt and the culture. Although I would also love to visit Italy, Japan, Greece, and the UK.
2. What do you do in your free time away from sims?
Recently, most of my time is spent working at the hospital. I have been getting back into pilates and yoga, though. I also enjoy reading, knitting, hiking, and occasionally socializing. XD
3. What other games do you play besides the sims?
I play Mario Party, Just Dance, Super Smash Bros., board games, card games, etc.
4. How tall are you?
I am 5′ 10″, which is 177.8 cm. XD
5. One random interest of yours?
I really like aloe vera plants and have been growing them for the last year. They’re fairly easy to grow and take care of and they grow little baby plants, too. I am looking into getting more pots to transplant some of them to give away as little gifts and possibly buy and grow other succulents.
6. Current favorite bands or artists?
I’d say some of my all-time favorite artists include Def Leppard, Genesis, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, The GooGoo Dolls, P!nk and Bruno Mars. I’m not usually one for country, though I recently began listening to and really enjoy Dan + Shay’s music.
7. Something you’re looking forward to?
To finish rebuilding my old hood and finally getting around to all the projects I’ve been putting on hold.
8. Current favourite films?
I love the 2017 and 2019 version of IT and IT: Chapter 2, along with LotR, The Hobbit, and the Harry Potter series!
9.  What food could you not live without?
Anything with rice or noodles in it!
10. Favourite series (book or movie series)?
If we’re speaking books, though it’s not a series, I love Pride and Prejudice. I feel like I already mentioned a bunch of movie series, so instead I’ll talk about my favorite TV series’. I recently started watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer and have been enjoying it; You (on Netflix, I can’t wait for the 3rd season!); and The Office.
Since I got to this pretty late, I won’t be tagging anyone, but if you still wanted to do this and haven’t, consider yourself tagged! :)

Invader Zim: The Pigshit Troll,  Part Two
Tumblr media
"Well, son, I can tell something's truly bothering you." Professor Membrane remarked as he sat down next to Dib in his room, black-gloved hands folded in his lap, his eyes gazing down through his big, large white goggles…not that you could see them, that glass was thick! "I'd like us to be closer. Please, talk."
"Wow, that's new." Dib thought. His dad outright approaching him pretty much out of nowhere just to talk? "Uh…Dad, when you were young, did people call you names? Bully you? Like…a lot? I'm getting accused of being this horrible online bully that's just TRASHING people's stories on the school website."
"You? Oh, Dib, that sounds so silly! You're slightly whiny, my boy, not a troll."
"…thanks, I guess?" Dib muttered as his Dad ruffled his hair.
"Complaining isn't always a bad thing, Dib. When people were getting sick from the food they bought at their local groceries, it took going to Congress and complaining to the government that the food wasn't right to change things. If we don't point out when something doesn't work, then it won't ever get made better. And sometimes it works! Look at that delightful Sonic movie. I remember when I was young, seeing that trailer drop. My heart sank. My hopes were crushed. But then…then they listened to the outcry, made Sonic look far better, and it was as if I was a child again playing Genesis, hidden away in my closet!" He proclaimed. "Sometimes people listen, sometimes they make changes, and it makes things better. THAT'S the eternal hope of people who complain. That if they say just the right words to the right person at the right time…they'll convince them to be better than they are."
"I'd LIKE to think that." Dib sighed. "But sometimes…I think people just wanna get stuff off their chest."
"Well, that's a human response." His dad told him. "That's normal."
"And sometimes I think people just wanna scream at someone and be heard!"
"That's normal too." Professor Membrane added. "At any rate, I'm not going to tell you to simply get a thicker skin and "buck up". The studies show that doesn't work at all!" He remarked, shaking his head back and forth. "And I'm certainly not going to tell you to retreat into yourself either, or just never go online. No, you need to talk to people about it. Talking always helps, that's what the data shows." He told Dib with a firm, wise, nod. "You can always come to me about this sort of thing, son. I promise you."
"That does make me feel a little better." Dib admitted, his father ruffling his hair before he left the room, a soft warmth spreading through Dib's frame. That HAD been nice, being able to just chat with his Dad. Still…he needed a long term solution. Talking to his father about this sort of thing was pretty much just a band aid.
He needed a more permanent fix. Luckily he knew just who to turn to.
"I need your help."
Gaz couldn't believe what she was hearing. She stared at Dib, mouth agape, eyes wide.
"…YOU…need MY help." She remarked as she stopped playing the latest edition of "Super Smash Bros X Street Fighter", putting the controller down. "…I should call Ripley's Believe it or Not. Rarer than Bigfoot! Rarer than the Loch Ness Monster! Rarer than an actual alien! DIB MEMBRANE ASKING FOR MY HELP." She gave a big, fat, grin. "By the way, that reminds me, guess who was using the belt sander?"
"Wait, Bigfoot's back?!" Dib asked, gaping in surprise. "Is he still there?!" He wanted to know as Gaz led him to the garage door.
"It was never Bigfoot, Dib." She told him.
"Then who was it?"
"CHEWBACCA!" She proclaimed with a grin as, sure enough, a tall, crossbow-blaster-wearing furry alien stood there, black nose a bit ruffled as he finished putting the last touches on his new knife using the belt sander, and cheerily grinned at Gaz, waving at her.
"CHEWIE?!" Dib asked.
"What a Wookie." Gaz sighed. "He's been smuggling me parts for my room security ever since I found him. I can't believe you ever spooked him enough to chase him off, though. What on Earth did you use?"
"Well, evidently wookies are positively terrified of air horns." Dib confessed. "Sorry about that. Must have super sensitive ears, huh?"
"HUUUUHRRRRRUUNNHHH!" Chewie agreed, exiting the garage as Dib sighed and turned to Gaz.
"So can you help me track down that troll?" He wanted to know.
"I dunno…" Gaz rubbed her chin. "I mean, I don't like getting bad reviews left on my stories either, but it is KINDA funny to see you squirming and under so much scrutiny." She confessed. "And you can't just move away or anything. Even if you did, if more reviews popped up trashing people's work, they would just all assume it's still you. Other countries got internet, after all. Unless you were literally tied to a pole and couldn't TYPE, people would just assume you're still at it."
"You're all heart!" Dib grumbled.
"Hey, you wanted help, I'm giving you the truth. That's just how people feel, you can be a really condescending asshole." Gaz said. "You ain't no perfect little angel."
"As opposed to being a REGULAR asshole like you or Zim?" Dib said, his temper flaring up, Gaz looking astounded that Dib was actually talking back to her. "And I've never CLAIMED to be an angel, Gaz, I…I KNOW I can be kind of…pushy. Obsessive compulsive. And I know I can be…insensitive to what other people think and…okay yeah! Yeah, I can be a jerk!" He threw his hands in the air and sighed. "But I'm doing something literally no other kid has to do!" He paced around, shaking his head back and forth. "No OTHER kid has to put up with trying to stop an alien lunatic that's not just a megalomaniac and psychotic alien but somebody outright sadistic and evil and petty and manipulative and a total jerk! On a pretty much daily basis! And half the time he almost succeeds at what he does, and if I don't stop him, people DIE! That's…that is WAY too much to put on someone not old enough to shave!" Dib told Gaz.
"…yeah, I'll give you that one." Gaz sighed.
"But I'm the only one who gets shit on. Nobody at school criticizes you because you'll beat the crap out of them. You got those freaky powers and everything! Even the teachers are scared of you! Zim? Zim gets off because people see me trying to expose him and they think I'm bullying him unfairly! Even though every day he's always up to something horrible! Literally! Every day! I shouldn't have to deal with him, OR the stuff I get from you and my classmates and now all of this with people thinking I'm not just nutty for liking stuff they think is strange, but that I'm some rotten troll!"
"Maybe Zim is the troll." Gaz suggested.
Dib stopped in mid-spiel, and he gaped at her. "…that's…not baaaaad!" He murmured. "That IS the kinda thing he'd do! Framing me for something HE'S done! And when he wants to, he can be really fiendishly clever…" He paced back and forth. "But we need to check. Is there any way to check?" He murmured. "Could we trace his IP address?"
"We could if we hack into the school's computer system, and from there, we can access where the reviews got posted. But while you do that, I'm going to go call a…friend." She remarked, nonchalantly making her way off to her room as Dib raced for his, to begin his hard work. Gaz slid on into her chair in her room, typing into a little keyboard built into the armrest, and PING! A vid screen manifested before her, and a short, tubby Irken was on the other end.
Skoodge, Zim's…friend. Though given how he treated him, you'd think Skoodge was more of a servant. When they went to go get snacks and drinks, it was Skoodge who had to carry everything. When Zim wanted something moved, he got Skoodge to do it and never thanked him. And when it came to the food…
"You see, I can't stand eating anything day-old. So its only fair I make up for it in other ways!" Zim was insisting even now to Skoodge from the other end of the basement, leaving Skoodge with the day old donuts while Zim stuffed his face. Skoodge quietly sighed, shaking his head, and then turned to the screen on his computer station, seeing he had an incoming message, and turning it on.
"Ah, Gaz. How're you?" He asked. Gaz smiled back at him. Skoodge was very eager to please, easy to manipulate but, still…compared to most Irkens, he was a civil, nice sort. Conquering planets or the like was just a job to him, it wasn't personal, and he didn't seem to take any real delight in being a jerk the way Zim did, or Tak did. Besides, he also happened to find Gaz attractive. It was the purple hair. For some reason, Irkens looooved the color purple.
"Hey, Skoodge, I need a favor. Has Zim been bragging about being the troll at school leaving all those awful, sick reviews?" Gaz wanted to know.
"Oh, no. But he's loving seeing Dib go to pieces." Skoodge remarked. "It's really mean. He can't stop laughing uncontrollably whenever the topic gets brought up. He said he wishes he'd thought of it, it's so simple and evil a plan that it should have been his plan."
Gaz had to admit that she'd been pleasantly surprised to find Skoodge so agreeable. She'd gone gaming with him, playing online, and she'd grown to learn a lot about him, and also, in return, about Irkens, and it astounded her how much they really had in common with humans. After all, her leaders were also lazy, egotistic, smug jerks who liked hurting people for not being good enough, who forced you into bad jobs that paid barely anything, and thought they were a lot smarter and better than they really were!
And they also placed an emphasis on being tall too. Nobody really respected a short President Man!
Truly, two species joined at the hip without knowing it.
"Thanks, Skoodge. I appreciate it. You're really sure it isn't him, huh? Maybe…it's a long shot but…is GIR doing it? I mean, sometimes GIR gets up to weird things with Minimoose and the Computer."
"GIR has pretended to be a girl online, but he'd never be sadistic enough to leave those kind of messages." Skoodge remarked with a shake of his head.
This was true. The new MMO that came out, "Portal Defenders", a massive crossover game indeed, had come out about five months back and Skoodge had gotten super into it, and he'd been, along with Gaz, very surprised to find a very willing girl character who played as the one and only XJ9 from "My Life As A Teenage Robot" eager to help them. They'd gone on many a raid together and much to their delight, she'd proven invaluable…and also proven to be GIR.
Still, hey. It was a valid life choice. Fine by him.
"Hmm. So much for that. It's not you, is it?"
"No way!" Skoodge insisted. "I get my stories crapped on because I exclusively write fetish material. I'm VERY into macrophilia."
"Yeah, I always wanted to ask, how come you're so into big, huge stories with the rampages or the giants or the big aliens stomping around or eating people? It's kinda odd." Gaz admitted. "I mean, I'm into super metal stuff, I like weird things too, but I always wanted to ask…"
This was true. Skoodge also attended the school in disguise, the same grade as Gaz, and he actually had a lot of talent too. But he reaaaaally enjoyed writing stories with big monsters and aliens. Time after time, they'd be leveling cities or whole towns or some rando would end up becoming a big beast that gobbled up his coworkers or the like. Occasionally he even dived deeper and entire planets would be broken apart or devoured! It was well written, without a doubt, engaging, but it could get…kinda scary.
"Well…I'm short and fat and not the least bit threatening." Skoodge sighed. "Look at me. I'm a tubby loser." He murmured as he picked up his fat gut and shook it about. "But in these stories, I can be anything. I can be big, and powerful, wonderful and terrible all at once. Everyone loves me and fears me all at once. I kinda felt like that right after I conquered Blorch, and the Slaughtering Rat People…until the Tallest shot me outta the closet and another Invader took the credit for my work."
"Wish fulfillment, huh?" Gaz sighed. "Hey, y'know, I get it. I mean, it's why I keep watching "The Craft" or "Carrie" all the time, I'd love to do the kinda things those girls do in those films. Just let loose, y'know?"
"Yeah, sometimes you just gotta feed that wolf that's howling outside your door. Besides, the guidance counselor said it's a good way for me to deal with my more unpleasant urges by expressing them in a creative way." Skoodge added with a smile. "And it's worked! Putting all this on paper made me work through my thoughts and feelings and I began to realize how rotten my species are. We're just the literal worst. Did you know we executed the last artist we had on Irk because he refused to stop drawing propaganda?"
"That sounds dickish."
"It WAS! He said art should be about more than convincing people to blow stuff up. Then they blew him up. A bunch of pieces of him evidently got on Tallest Miyuki when she was in her Invader training, and that's why she decided to tone down the imperialistic tendencies of the Empire…for all the good it did us once Red and Purple came around." Skoodge sighed. "It's too bad, I missed working alongside the Vortians in the labs, those were good years." He confessed.
"Thanks for the help, Skoodge. Keep an eye on Zim for me, wouldja? Good to chat with you again. See you around!" Gaz told him, giving Skoodge a deliberate wink, then shutting the screen off as he sighed softly.
"Anything for you…" He murmured.
Dib meanwhile, had broken into the school system and was looking at various reviews left under people's stories. Hmm, this one was from Gaz-oh. OH! He hadn't seen this before. She was taking umbrage at how the character…an obvious stand-in for her, was portrayed. After all, she had a rough upbringing too, with Professor Membrane never around and yes, when Dib had been younger, he'd done a couple experiments on her. It had actually been what turned her hair purple, and he deeply regretted it, though she'd said she actually ended up LIKING her hair turning that way.
Dib cringed as he read the review. He got that she wanted to see herself as the hero, but…c'mon, Gaz. "I'M the one literally putting my life on the line just about every day, you're playing Game Slave and stuffing your face with pizza, I think I deserve a bit more understanding than you do." He muttered. She came off as so…entitled here!
Oh, and now a new review. "You should be nicer to Zim. He's got mental health issues."
"So do I, but I don't go around trying to destroy planets and enslave people." Dib muttered. "Zim isn't just insane. He's evil. Jesus. Why are there so many Stans for Zim? They all keep thinking he's being picked on when I'm the one who almost always gets it the worst…"
He cringed, stopping himself. "Stop it, Dib. No more pity parties. No more self-flagellating. You gotta focus." He murmured, examining the reviews, scrolling, scrolling. A lot of the troll reviews had been taken down by the teachers because they'd gotten sick of it too, but-wait. A new one. "ReVIEW MY STORiES! YOUR SToRiES ARE PIGSHIT!"
Ah ha. He had the IP address. His fingers swiftly moved across the keyboard, typing rapidly, his eyes widening as he saw where it came from.
It couldn't be. But…
The address was Membrane Labs.
His father's workplace.
What…the…fuuuuuuuck?

🎞- Favorite cartoon/anime? 🎮- Favorite video game(s)? 🖌- Are you artsy?
Questions for the Mun meme (still accepting!)
Tumblr media
🎞- Favorite cartoon/anime?
My favorite anime of all time is Cowboy Bebop! I’ve been a fan for almost two decades and while I’m not as obsessive about it as I used to be, it will still forever be my favorite. Incredible storytelling, characters, music, art design, just...everything. Even the episodes I didn’t care for.
Other series I’ve really loved (besides Danganronpa) in no particular order: Revolutionary Girl Utena, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Lupin III, Gundam 0079 & Zeta, Rose of Versailles, Baccano!, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, One Piece (more the manga than the anime now), and anything by Ai Yazawa (Paradise Kiss, Nana) and Akiko Higashimura (Princess Jellyfish, Tokyo Tarareba Girls).
I’m watching/catching up on (I’m slow and spend most of my time writing on here, binge-watching Netflix, or working)  Bungou Stray Dogs and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans now.
🎮- Favorite video game(s)?
Despite the fact I write for a video game muse, this is actually hard to answer! When I was a kid and a teenager, I wasn’t allowed to have video games as my family firmly believed that they would be a waste of time and I’d never make it into a good university. So I’ve never had the skills or the patience for most video games and haven’t played games that are, in my opinion, cultural touchstones like Pokemon, Sonic, Final Fantasy, Super Smash Bros (and Mario games in general), etc. I should apologize to most video game muses who aren’t Danganronpa or otome who follow me: I probably have no idea who your muse is or their fandom. I’m sorry!
That said, what I do enjoy are visual novels and otome titles, especially those that don’t require a ton of gameplay elements beyond reading text and clicking options. My favorite games (besides Danganronpa) include: Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Steins;Gate, The Nonnary Games (999/Virtue’s Last Reward/Zero Time Dilemma), Code: Realize, and Hakuoki. I also loved playing Dance Dance Revolution whenever I could find it at a con or in a movie theater arcade (2nd mix through Max2, mostly). I also play(ed) a few cellphone games including Disney Tsum Tsum and Love Nikki Dress-up Queen. Nikki’s the primary reason why I don’t play more mobile otome at this point. I’ve also watched games of Castlevania be played through and I loved Symphony of the Night!
Before anyone asks: I still haven’t played AI: The Somnium Files yet. I do plan to play it eventually and I’ve been avoiding spoilers since it came out!
🖌- Are you artsy?
In terms of drawing/painting/CGs/videos, not at all. The only artistic talent I have besides writing is makeup, as I was a makeup artist for a year or two soon after I graduated university and music. I played flute and piccolo in elementary school through high school. I still have my instruments but I don’t really play them anymore. Most of my art involves trying to figure out cosplay wigs and props to varying degrees of success, as I cannot sew at all.

My favorite Video Game franchises PART 2
Last week on Wk 9, I did Part 1 of my favorite video game franchises, for a TL;DR effect (not that you shouldn't check it out) I said that Mario, The Legend Of Zelda, Mega Man, and Kirby were some of my favorites but I went more into detail there (please read it if you haven't read it already). Anyways into Part 2!!!
Street Fighter
Street Fighter is at least my favorite or 2nd favorite fighting game franchise, but it is the one that got me introduced into the genre. The arcade games of Street Fighter are really amazing, if you haven't played them please at least pop in some quarters and fight on. My love for it began at my churches youth group where they had arcade machines and there It was on that multi game cabinet, Street Fighter II championship edition, I was hooked. Anyways my favorite Fighters are Vega or Cammy, and my favorite Street Fighter Games are Super Street Fighter IV or Street Fighter II Championship Edition.
Sonic the Hedgehog
It's the famous franchise from Sega that rivaled Mario in terms of mascots in the early 90's, its Sonic The Hedgehog! I've only recently gotten into the Sega Games like from the Sega Genesis and those consoles, and he is of course the best and most popular of all those. I like the unique Spin (dash) the series has on the conventional platformer, including obviously going ridiculously fast through courses. I also love the music and characters and story to it as well. My favorite 2D sonic game is the Original, and my favorite 3D sonic game is Sonic Adventure 1.
Mario Kart
This series is my favorite racing game franchise. I love the games because of the energy it has and how its not series and it's most of the time pure fun and rewards players with shortcuts and stuff of that nature. I dont really play Mario Kart that much besides online matchups because I have nobody to play with. My favorite Mario Kart is Mario kart 8/8 Deluxe (the Wii U game and the Switch Port) because it's what got me into the game but Mario Kart Wii is alot of fun too.
Star Fox
Star fox is a really cool and unique Space Shooter game where you control a ship manned by Fox Mcloud as you maneuver through obstacles and space and defeat enemies. I really like the Science Fiction inspired story and the gameplay is alot of fun as well, it's just really fun. My favorites are Star Fox 64 and the SNES version (which has an interesting story behind it) (look up Super FX chip if your intrested). Also Star Fox Zero is fun but not as fun as the other 2.
Super Smash Bros
Last but not least I have Super Smash Bros. This may be my favorite or 2nd favorite fighting game franchise yet again it is hard to compare Street Fighter and SSB as they are 2 different games. I love the strategy it takes to fight using the stage and hazards to your advantage and all that. I also love that its basically a history to gaming in general (with SSBU having at the moment over 70 playable fighters including DLC) its just an awesome series that I really like. I like all the Fighters in the game but I would say that Bowser, Kirby, Ryu, Simon, or Joker are my go to fighters and also fighters that I admire watching others play as those ones in particular. My favorite SSB game is Ultimate with Melee being my 2nd Favorite.
Conclusion to Part 2
Whew hope you guys enjoyed this list, I wonder if anybody has played or likes playing or has heard of any of the games on the list (most likely). But I hope you guys enjoyed my list, maybe you guys can maybe make your own lists if you want, that would be cool how our tastes may be similar of different. Anyways have a good week!! 😀

( amber heard, 30, cis-female, she/her ) Have you seen SAGE CAULFIELD-PROUVOST around ? I hear they’re an ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR who can sometimes be BLUNT & ALOOF. But I also heard they can be LOYAL & SHARP-WITTED if you catch them on a good day. They’re usually hanging around LINCOLN PARK ZOO in their spare time. I sure hope they’re alright !
This is Sage I love her and have missed writing her so get ready. Buckle in this gets long but I’m gonna try to skip over some things.
She’s a gemini and is exactly what you’d expect from that, could be called an alpha bitch but she uses it for good. It’s tough for her to make female friends but she treasures them and her life long hobby has been sleeping with shitty men, getting them to fall in love with her the blatantly cheating on them and smashing their hearts.
Sage comes from Frostford, Alabama a small town where her family owns the bed and breakfast. She was happy there but she didn’t necessarily love it. Growing up she had her Mom and her Grandfather, her Dad being a career military officer and often deployed.
It was a picturesque town, she helped out at the front desk and would sneak away for late night parties and sit on the roof to look at the orchard in back of the bed and breakfast, when the flowers bloomed it almost looked like a vast sea. She was popular in that knew everybody but didn’t really have a group of friends sort of way. Not that she didn’t try just her personality is a bit strong for most so when she did manage to find people who’d call her friend she’d have their back instantly ready to bite the head off of anyone who was rude to them. Due to her popularity she won Homecoming Queen multiple times and Prom Queen easily enough.
But then one year she turned into that small town cliche. Sage got knocked up. and to make matters worse she truly had no idea who the father was between all of her heart breaking and cheating. She considered terminating the situation early on unsure if it was something she wanted to deal with, after all she was already the subject of enough town gossip. However her best friend and one of the babies possible fathers Ethan Prouvost brought up the idea of adoption, something Sage immediately felt was the way she wanted to go.
Okay so Ethan was an interesting person, he was half french his Mother having been born and raised in the richer side of their small town, a founding family sort of situation. She’d fallen in love with a wealthy frenchman and boom Ethan and his older brother were born. The family eventually moved out to California but they made a habit of spending Summers in Alabama along with thanksgiving with her Mother, winter break and spring break also ended up with the family back in France.
Ethan was a huge romantic, he loved the sea and fish, dude was obsessed with fish and clicked instantly with Sage, he indulged her constantly and fell in love. He had some fuck boy tendencies which first attracted Sage to him under the impression that she could ruin him next but it was always ruined by him consistently being one of those nice bro types.
Either way whenever he’d roll into town she’d drop whoever she was seeing like a hot rock and spend time with her best friend/constant hookup and they were happy that way. He loved hearing about who she was sleeping with and messing the hearts of because he not only fully enjoyed the drama but also sucked in people’s secrets like a sponge being fairly nosey.
By the time Sage gave birth the baby was handed over and honestly she didn’t feel much of a connection to it, a la Juno it never felt like her baby really to begin with and now the family that she picked out a few towns over would be happy as well.
After graduation with her best friend off at college and the few others she made as well out of town, Sage felt at a loss. Higher education wasn’t for her and sure she had working the front desk at the Inn as a stable job, handling finances and being meticulously organised was never a problem for her.
Still it didn’t feel like enough for her SO one day a town over she stumbles across a gentleman’s club. She was immediately entranced, selling sex for money seemed perfect for her. What was even better was that she discovered at times people just wanted to talk, and as someone who was always a great listener the clients opened up to her more and more. As she rose in the ranks she decided to move onto a better establishment. Specifically one in California.
Ethan had been calling her asking her to move out west and see the ocean like he’d always promised he’d show her and Sage missing her best friend and tbh the great sex decided why the hell not, packed up gave her two weeks notice and moved to a nice apartment something she was able to afford with her earnings and savings.
So she starts working at a higher class establishment growing more and more into the top spot in LA. Reconnects with her bestie not that they ever really lost contact and he’s as big a fan as ever of her career choice.
He graduates and becomes a marine biologist working at an aquarium loving fish as much as ever she’s proud of him.
She begins ruining his relationships, they often attend his family’s gathers together and make a show of shocking and horrifying his parents. Often leave with many bottles of expensive champagne.
His parents hate his career choice because it’s not bougie enough and hate that he’s still sleeping around with a ‘hooker’. They love his family’s reaction.
some things happen and there’s a fight she admits that she does love him it’s the one time in their lives she ever said it.
the next day she agrees to marry him. she’s pretty pissed about it but he’s a romantic and it makes him happy so she’s willing to compromise by doing this one thing for him because she knows it’s important to him.
she keeps working as a prostitute and they’re both happy, he’s getting all the gossip and things are honestly just good?
they consider having children possibly another child together??? things are still unclear if he’s genetically related to the baby she gave up but whatever. could have gotten it tested but who wants to do that. no one.
at 28 Ethan gets in a car crash and Sage loses her best friend.
She quits her job and moves to Chicago to where a huge aquarium is that Ethan always confessed wanting to work at. The ocean makes her a bit sick to look at now.
Considers seeing if there’s openings at Eden, Genesis or Skyfall it seemed like an easy enough gig to get with the sort of high roller and celebrity client references she could pull from LA. But in the end decides to stop. Everything about her old life is a bit hard to bare when you lose the person you were best friend’s with your whole life.
Begins working as the assistant to the Mayor of Chicago, it’s a good place to put her focus and takes advantage of some of her skills and ability to pull secrets from those around her.

Random Facts
Sage is really into minimalist decorations so she doesn’t really spend a lot of money unless it’s on shoes or baking supplies. Girl loves baking and has an easy bake oven on display in her apartment somewhere just sitting on a bookshelf.
Her closet is 98% shoes.
Sage’s last name Caulfield comes from Catcher in the Rye where Holden Caulfield hires a prostitute and then spends the entire time just talking to her. Some of Sage’s clients were like that and she did have a slight affection for them.
She doesn’t hide the fact that she used to be a prostitute and would honestly return to the career one day maybe as a madame to make sure girls are being treated right.
added her husbands last name to her’s only after he died and now wears black only because she’s a dramatic bitch like that and knows that drama hoe would have loved it.
still wears her engagement and wedding rings but that’s just more of a soft hearted personal choice. he was her best friend this is incredibly painful even if she refuses to show it.
donates frequently to the Shedd Aquarium.
She has a huge saltwater tank in her apartment with her husband’s fish in them.
Demi-romantic, and pansexual. has no interest in falling in love again, she’s good. didn’t even want to the first time still says Ethan was an asshole for getting her to fall for him.
Never talks about herself, she’d rather listen to what’s up with you.
only drinks cheap wine because she can’t tell the difference but loves champagne. Dry only.
learned french so she and her husband could shit talk people right in front of them.
she attends church and is christian, sins often and without guilt she fully looks forward to hell sounds like a fab time.
knows how to wood carve thanks to her grandfather.
she does have a slight southern accent.
hyper organised, she has folders and backups for everything and knows how to intimidate press into backing the hell up or off.
Still uses Mrs. instead of Ms. even if she’s a widow.
tells people her dead husband haunts her and doesn’t want her to move on, just because she’s possessive af and knows if she died and he tried moving on she’d be pissed. also because they’d jokingly discussed it once and he said he’d be offended by the suggestion and wanted her to haunt him if she went first.
she has that $$$$ from her rich husband
-----
Wanted Connections
female friends
maybe coworkers?
honestly idk she’s not the most personally social person.
