मृत गऊ को जीवित करना*

सिकंदर लोधी ने एक गर्भवती गाय को तलवार से काट दिया जिससे माँ, बेटे के चार टुकड़े हो गए और सिकंदर लोधी राजा ने कहा कि कबीर, यदि तू खुदा है तो इस गऊ को जीवित कर दे अन्यथा तेरा सिर भी कलम कर दिया जाएगा। परमेश्वर कबीर ने एक बार हाथ गऊ के दोनों टुकड़ों को तथा दूसरी बार उसके बच्चे के टुकड़ों को लगाया। उसी समय दोनों माँ-बेटा जीवित हो गए और कहा -

गऊ अपनी अम्मा है, इस पर छुरी न बाह।

गरीबदास घी दूध को, सब ही आत्म खाय।।

चुटकी तारी थाप दे, गऊ जिवाई बेगि।

गरीबदास दूझन लगी, दूध भरी है देग।।
