My new battle map is my depiction of the rocky coastline found in my own Australian backyard. I hope that it will serve you well as a seaside encounter! Do any creatures come to mind? I’m thinking of giant crabs…

Throughout the first five months of the war, both my big sister and my sister in law had been pregnant. They had to endure constant displacement and unspeakable horrors on top of pregnancy discomforts. The few times I was able to reach my sister, she would keep praying not to go into labor before that nightmarish reality ended.

Sadly, things did not go her way. The war was raging when she gave birth to beautiful baby Ossama, and it still is ongoing. Almost at the same time my brother and his wife had sweet baby twin girls, Ritaj and Rital. The three little angels are rocked to sleep by the sound of bombs and buzzing drones instead of lullabies. Due to the unsanitary conditions in their tent and formula scarcity, the newborns have been constantly suffering from acute respiratory infections as well as slow weight gain. The only medical care they were getting was that of an overcrowded field hospital with limited resources, and even that is now denied to them as my family has been forcibly evacuated again from Rafah to Khan Yunis where nothing is left but rubble.

As you may well know, many babies in Gaza are lost while waiting for consideration. The doctors previously insisted that the little ones would fail to thrive and fully recover if they stayed in the same unhealthy environment.

Despite everything, these babies are a source of hope and strength for us. Please don't let them fade away. My family is barely holding on for their sake and that of their older brothers and sisters.

We would be forever grateful for any kind of support.

Why do we as a society keep coming back to sex jokes?

today’s obsession is ancient tattoos, in particular the s-curved floral-antlered deer of the Siberian Ice Maiden and Scythian Chieftain. 

it’s such a heavily used trope in modern media (off the top of my head I can think of Pokemon, Annihilation, Bambi, Snow White and the Huntsman, etc) and why wouldn’t it be! antlers look like branches, branches look like antlers, it’s only natural to pair them

but it makes me strangely emotional that our brains have always worked this way, and been drawn to the same imagery over and over again. 

I’m also going to resist the urge to make paired enamel pins of these ancient deer, even though I deeply desire little wearable tributes of the past

Seeing people be upset that the bad kids aren't "helping" the rat grinders/are killing them makes me feel like we've been watching entirely different shows.

Just six events off the top of my head, the rat grinders:

1. Tried to get the bad kids/other members of the student body expelled

2. Brought the guy who groomed Sandra-Lynn in as a staff member

3. Messed with Gorgug's home AND Fabian's home

4. Have committed multiple murders of innocent people

5. Actively tried to get the bad kids killed via The Last Stand (and Kipperlily killed Buddy/stole spell components which meant no revives)

6. Waited til a lot of the student body was in Fabian's house, then lifted it into the air and ATTACKED IT WITH DRAGONS. Like if the bad kids were wiped in that combat, that's mass murder of hundreds of students.

I understand they're being manipulated but MY GOD they're shitty little bastards.
