🌺Series Review🌺 Snow Like Ashes Trilogy | @sara_raasch _raasch 🌺🌺 #QOTD: What book series do you love? Let’s also show some appreciation to @toliteratureandbeyond for the bookmarks she made that I’m going to be using from now on. I bought so many you guys! As I go through the series of the bookmarks I have and hopefully I can buy the coasters soon, I will be showing them off. 🌺 5/5 Stars Oh this trilogy… I first read the first two books back in 2016. But I had not read the 3rd. Back in 2018 I picked it up again and finished the trilogy. You guys… this trilogy was weird for me😕. Like I loved it and when I read it, I couldn't let it go but then I did and to get it again was so difficult. But then… you guys…😭 I wanted to cry when this trilogy ended (tbh, I think I did.) It was so not what I expected and Theron… ahhhh… I still think about this trilogy and I want to re-read it soon but first I want to read my tbr shelf before I do major re-reads like this. This trilogy had so many twists and scenes that made me cry. Whyyyy Sarah??? I am very glad with who Meira ended up with, but he was also kinda dumb. Like ma dude, think a little. “If stubborness were all that was needed to be a good queen, I'd rule the world.” ― Sara Raasch, Ice Like Fire . . . . . . I finished Down Among The Sticks And Bones, by Seanan McGuire. This book tells the story of Jack and Jill before they went back to "our" world. Even tho we know what happened after this story it was still an enjoyable read. It has a gothic setting that I liked very much, even more because it's finally autumn! (And I'm very happy about it) You are first introduced to the life of these twins as they grow. One of the things that I hated most was their parents. They were despicable!! It's not fair to put your children into this kind of stereotypes and to not let them be who they really are. We have Jack, the girly twin and Jill, the tomboy. When they go through the door and come to the Moore (don't remember how it's spelled!) they are found by the Master (a vampire). There's a pact between the "mad scientist" and the vampire: when a foundling is found, one goes to the scientist and then the next one goes to the vampire. Jack chooses to go with the scientist and we follow her as she learn things she was never allowed to and she falls in love with the daughter of the Inn keeper of the town. Meanwhile Jill is becoming more and more cruel, with dresses and all. As the story keeps on Jill wants to be beside the vampire and become one, but she is too eager and trouble begins! I liked this book but I found it a bit lacking, compared with the first installment. It's a perfect read for fall and Halloween. The atmosphere is phenomenally gothic. Good morning book dragons! So as well have left series unfinished and I am as guilty of that as anyone. Two series I really want to finish is the geisha series I am still needing to read ruin and rising and all the newest ones.
