Hi guys. So, this is simmilar to my post "Ideas for Hp ship names" but with the more problematic ships (ie Incest ships, huge age gap ships,etc). Now before we start i would like to clarify something: this is a post to give ideas of ship names to the weasleycest comunity, not a post for anyone to bash on this ships or even start a debate of why no one should ship them so if anyone wants to express their negative opinions about these ships and/or the people who ship them, then do us all a favor and...

Reason for the ship name: yea...i know Charlie would def not top in this case but Arthilie sounds awful.if anyone has a better idea please tell me.

okay, i'm curious (genuine) with the examples of gallade being male-only you mentioned.

so if an amab (ama-hatching?) kirlia who was trans but didn't have any idea yet touched a dawn stone, would it not work on them? that could be a stressful realisation, they expected to evolve but instead got some processing to do. (side note: i'm using they/them because i don't know if they'd immediately switch to using she or stay with he while processing)

how about if an amab kirlia touches the dawn stone and at that time their gender identity is male, but in the future their identity will shift to female over time? (ooc note: i hope i'm wording this right. my sibling was always non-binary and just didn't know as a child, but i know some people (myself /sort of/ included?) identified as their agab as a child and then their identity changed (i just threw out the gender) as they grew up, but they would still say 'yes i was x gender as a child')

and what about genderfluid kirlia? it would definitely be interesting if one could tell what gender they were that day depending on if they woke up as gallade or gardevoir but unless that one eevee from adventures is real i don't know how feasible that one is. it's more than just a form change... (ic note: adventures is a manga about pokemon in my universe. there was an eevee who could switch between eevee/vaporeon/jolteon/flareon at will until they evolved into espeon and stuck there)

well, thanks for the question!!

I studied pokepsychology as my major, one of the things that we learn is that in the pokemon world, the mind is stronger than the body. That's actually how evolution itself works. The pokemon levels up, gains more knowledge about the world/gets closer to their trainer and boom, their body reflects that.

When it comes to gender related evolutions, it can get complicated sometimes, but to keep it simple, if an amab kirlia doen't know she's trans yet, she still won't be capable of evolving into a gallade. Her mind would reject the dawn stone energy because she might not know about that, but her brain does know.

In the case of genderfluidity and an identity out of the binary spectrum, things get wonky. A genderfluid kirlia would be able to evolve into a gallade whenever they felt like a man, but they wouldn't be able to reverse the evolution and instead, they would turn into a variety of gallade that still goes unnamed, but I like to call "Gallevoir". Their bodies have small differences, but nothing too big (a small "dress" can be seen on them, their horns are less pointy. In some cases, I've seen gallevoirs lacking the classic "elbow swords"). This also happens for nb kirlias.

well, this one I don't know how to answer. It might be like the gender fluid effect, with the pokemon turning into a gallevoir, or maybe since it's a "stronger" thing, with the brain shifting it's gender identity entirely, the gallade may fully turn into a gardevoir. I can't answer it for sure tho. I gotta research more about this.

Another great book for beginners. I like the interpretations

The Inner Sky by Steven Forrest

Written by a very renowned astrologer. He goes over signs, aspects, etc and breaks them all down really well

You were born for this by Chani Nicholas

I love how this book goes over how to use astrology in your daily life and isn’t just cookie cutter definitions of placements like many other books. It’s also interactive and you can write in some pages which is always fun. It’s one of my favorite books for beginners

Aspects in astrology by Sue Tompkins

This is a great book for people curious about what each aspect means and how they can manifest into your life

Predictive Astrology by Michele Adler

This book is definitely worth the price. It gives lots of information on techniques you can use to make predictions in astrology. It’s based on Western Astrology

The Art of Predictive Astrology by Carol Rushmam

Another great predictive astro book that talks about how to make predictions based on transits in your chart

Medical Astrology by Judith Hill

This is a great book with information on body part astrology and medical information. Although I do want to note when reading this do not be afraid if you share one of the transits that the public figures mentioned had during their health issues arising as astrology is a polarity. Meaning you can take on positive traits rather than the challenging ones often

Asteroid Goddesses by Demetra George

Goes over all the major asteroids in astrology. This can help you a lot if you’re interested in learning basic information on asteroids

Planets in Composite by Robert Hand

There are not many books out there on Composite compatibility so out of all of them this is my favorite even though it’s very basic it’s still a good read if you’re learning about Composite charts

The Psychology of Astrocartography by Jim Lewis

This is the best book about astrocartography I’ve found so far and very informative. The only bad thing I have to say about this book is that the print is really small. It’s amazing other than that though

☆ OLD AGE ASTRO BOOKS ☆

Mastering Traditional Astrology by Mychal A. Brian

If you’re more interested in old age astrology then this is an amazing read. You can purchase it on Amazon

Astrology of the Tree by David Frawley

This is great for beginners in vedic astrology and goes over all the basics. Really anything by David Frolly is great if you want to learn about vedic

The Nakshatras; the Lunar Mansions of Vedic Astrology by Dennis Harness

It’s a short read and goes over all the meanings of all the nakshatras

Light on Relationships by Hart De

A very comprehensive read that goes over synastry in Indian astrology. It gives lots of interesting techniques that can give insight on future marriages as well

Mayan Calender Astrology by Kenneth Johnson

This is extremely hard to comprehend so don’t purchase if you’re new to astrology. Even I had to read it a few times to fully get it. It discusses the astrology that the egyptians wrote in their hieroglyphics

Sky and Psyche; the relationship between cosmos and consciousness by Nicholas Campion and Patrick Curry

This is an extremely underrated book and one of my favorites by far. This book goes over not just meanings of the planets, houses, synastry aspects, etc but also why the planets manifest in certain ways

The planetarization of consciousness by Dane Rudhyar

This one isn’t a basic overview like the other books I’ve mentioned it’s more psychological type astrology which I found really interesting

History of western astrology volume 1 & 2 by Nicholas Campion

This goes over how astrology has been used throughout history and why it was used in the past

Moonology by Yasmin Boland

This is a manifestation astrology book. It gives an amazing story about the authors life before using astrology and manifestation and how it impacted them. Great for learning how to manifest using the moon cycles and astrology

The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes by Theodora Lau and Laura Lau

My favorite Chinese astrology book. There isn’t many good ones out there

Birth Time Rectification by Paul Manley

There are some things I would’ve added to this book that weren’t mentioned but other than that it’s pretty good in helping find the right birth times using vedic astrology

I finally managed to catch up on reading Dæmorphing by @featherquillpen now that it’s come to a close, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I ended up with very strong visuals in mind for these four during the final chapters, so have some Andalites on the house!

Design notes and extra art below the cut.

Aximili’s design was the quickest and easiest to pin down. He looks like the Andalite standard, to me. His design is probably the simplest of the bunch but I think it’s still my favourite.

Tobias was really fun to figure out: I gave them a gentler, more aquiline profile than Ax’s. I wanted them to look androgynous (to exemplify their frollis morph between Ax & Estrid) as well as to have a subtle beaky hawk-like quality to everything. Their mane also flips up at the back, a little like crest feathers. I slanted their colours more towards Ax’s own to keep their family resemblance (with a cool-toned nudge from Estrid).

Estrid became one of my favourite characters by the end of the story -- I thought giving her a bit of an ‘edgy teen’ heavy mane felt appropriate to her characterization. I like to think that she starts off with her mane styled back more professionally, until by The Presence of Justice it’s just all in her face, a total mess.

Mertil’s patterning was inspired by the mid-chapter art in Shattered, where both he and Gafinilan have cream-coloured patches across their bodies. That the piebald splotches streak into his hair and give the illusion of him going stress-grey is a fun bonus.

En este artículo indagamos sobre cómo el desarrollo de los jóvenes se vio afectada durante la cuarentena. Se observó un incremento en trastornos psicológicos y un menor desempeño lingüístico, verbal y cognitivo. Ana Luiza Penna, de la Universidad de Harvard, este año hizo un llamado hacia dirigir esfuerzos globales para entender mejor estos impactos en la sociedad.

Los efectos del aislamiento prolongado ocasionado por la pandemia detuvieron la vida de muchos jóvenes y niños en etapas cruciales de socialización y desarrollo. ¿Qué implicaciones tiene esto? Muchas. Desde el año 2020, se han llevado a cabo investigaciones para entender cómo el aislamiento ha afectado la juventud. Los hallazgos indican alteraciones a nivel neuroanatómico e incremento en trastornos psicológicos en niños y adolescentes (Bozzola et al., 2022), así como una disminución en habilidades verbales, motoras y cognitivas (Deoni et al., 2021).

La estimulación mental derivada de interacciones en nuestro entorno resulta ser un factor imprescindible en el desarrollo saludable de un niño. Estos entornos enriquecedores les brindan un espacio donde se establecen comportamientos de manejo emocional e integración social. La pandemia interrumpió este proceso, por lo cual se han estudiado la estructura cerebral y el comportamiento para comprender sus efectos (Frolli, 2021). Se observó una alteración estructural y funcional a nivel del hipocampo, el cual está relacionado con procesos de aprendizaje y memoria (Bzdok, 2022). Además, se ha notado adelgazamiento cortical e incremento en la amígdala. Gotlib y su equipo determinaron que estos cerebros se asemejan más a los de adultos que a los de jóvenes.

Estas alteraciones impactan el desempeño académico y emocional de los jóvenes. En el ámbito académico, las escuelas cerraron en promedio 1 año y medio, lo cual es sumamente extenso considerando lo rápido que crecen y se desarrolla la juventud (Maftei, 2022). Como consecuencia, un estudio en el 2021 realizado por Deoni indica un peor rendimiento académico en comparación con los promedios de años previos (Monsaya, 2021). Emocionalmente, los adolescentes tienen un mayor grado de internalización de sus problemas, lo cual se reflejó en un estudio del 2022 realizado por Bozzola, donde se reportó una tasa más alta de trastornos psicológicos en jóvenes y niños. Esto va acompañado de una disminución en habilidades motoras, cognitivas y verbales; la cual se puede relacionar al hecho de que carecen la habilidad de verbalizar sus sentimientos complejos (Ebert, 2020). Todo esto se traduce a nivel cognitivo, ya se ha comenzado a observar dificultad en procesamiento de problemas, toma de decisiones y análisis.

Estos hallazgos nos dicen mucho sobre el desarrollo de estas nuevas generaciones y es que se encuentran en desventaja. Por tanto, es imperativo que padres, tutores y educadores sean pacientes, busquen exponerlos a un ambiente enriquecido y sean comprensivos con ellos (Sato, 2023). La tasa de enfermedades de salud mental posiblemente siga incrementando en el futuro y podrían alcanzar cantidades nunca vistas, convirtiéndose en un asunto de salud pública a una escala más grande. En fin, es importante cuidar y velar por las generaciones más jóvenes además de seguir estudiando esta situación ya que sus repercusiones a nivel social son enormes (Kourti, 2021).
