One thing we haven’t talked about yet (understandably, because *gestures at Representation and cries*) is how Miraculous took the time to make a callback to the sketching scene from Lies IN THE FINALE
It’s been implied that art is to Kagami what “inner melodies” are to Luka: a way to access another person’s soul. When her sketches didn’t reflect what she wanted to see in Adrien, she tried to force the session to go her way — snapping at him and even physically “fixing” his pose herself, only for him to slip away from her.
AND NOW LOOK AT THEM
I bet Felix didn’t even know she was sketching him at first! All he has to do is EXIST NEAR HER and that’s enough. He’s enough!
She’s capturing his essence as he’s learning to do normal kid stuff and she in turn is learning to love her partner for who they are, not who she has been conditioned to think they should be.
This show’s writing can be inconsistent at times, it’s true, but sometimes they just hit the nail right on the head and it’s so satisfying. Felix and Kagami’s story is being told with so much love and care for them both and I cannot insist enough on how important it is to me and likely to many others!

i think a theme of the later seasons... 3-5 notably... is that there's some great tragedy, or event that has occurred, that greatly warps the status quo in ways that hurt the characters? like in s3 master fu had to give up guardianship, and marinette had to take on the duty way too early and it was far too overwhelming, too much for her to bear, which bled into the s4 finale, where she lost all the miraculous, and realized she had messed up in pushing her partner away, and in the season 5 finale there is this great sense of injustice.... it is all shrouded by the fact that everyone and society at large is being presented as PERFECT like wow so happy look at this villain! the world will remember him as a hero. but something is clearly so wrong about that and i genuinely think we as an audience are meant to feel that? that's why after all the happiness and celebration there is someone in the shadows working on something horrible, and there is literally this FORCE like shown as an electrical force that popped up at the end that makes you think

The worst part about some lovely 80s styles is that they are outdated enough to look prudish/frumpy but not old enough to register to common folk as retro/vintage.

very normal about Job era Crowley tempting Aziraphale to be closer to earth, closer to HIM, with wine and food and free will, watching him eat with barely restrained lust in his eyes, recontextualizing every future “Crowley watching Aziraphale eat” scene as him reliving that original thrill
