okay so, i was writing down some of the worldbuilding for my minecraft oc universe and had a realization that one bit of it could apply to martyn so i share

the code of the world is in the void, that is the reason why bedrock exists and why the void kills you if you fall in it, the universe doesn’t want people close to the code just in case they break something

still, programmers found a way to go around it and ignore it to mess around and continue their coding. that didn’t make the void safe, and those who spent too much time in it, they slowly become poisoned by it. that is what is known as void poisoning or void corruption, both names get used interchangably

the two most visible symptoms of it are the sclera of the eyes and the main points of contact with the void (usually the hands, in programmers) turning black. other symptoms are frequent headaches, problems with memory, and sensitvity to light and noise, to just name a few

i was thinking about this because of an unrelated character from that minecraft oc universe, then i remembered that martyn spends a considerable amount of time in the void in between seasons of the life series, so by the rules of my oc stuff, he would most likely start showing symptoms of void poisoning by the time double life begins

Chilchuck's scream sounds HAUNTED in brazilian portuguese. Give it a try if you can.

In spanish dub, Senshi says: "tocó mis senos de hombre", which means "he touched my man boobs" in Spanish. And I think that's the best dub line one so far.

guillermo del toro’s pinocchio is a beautiful film but my god no one has adapted that story like neverafter. you can never look at it the same way again after listening to lou wilson, a black man, explaining that he chose to play as pinocchio because it’s a story about a little boy who isn’t allowed to make mistakes. that in pinocchio's story, he is fundamentally barred from childhood at once upon a time. he must earn something that everyone else is granted from birth. the other boys get to tell lies and play and get into trouble, but when pinocchio does the same thing there are grave and violent consequences. his pinocchio is trying to understand why the world is so unfair, why the rules are so different for him, why everyone else gets to be a real boy.

and I think about it every day.
