HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!

I would like to start off by congratulating you all, congratulations you made it through this shitty year! And what better way to start off the new year than with some blog recommendations! Enjoy your reading lovelies!

@daddynattt - seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and has amazing stories. If you like Natasha and you like g!p or just amazing stories in general, go check her fics out! She creates the hottest, saddest, sweetest fics all in one, it’s amazing how good of a writer she truly is!

@cthulhus-curse and @cthulhus-library - if you want to read some amazing fics or even just share some of your ideas, their blog is perfect! They post out fics pretty often and they’re all absolutely outstanding! They have different varieties like g!p, ABO, bottom!reader, bottom!characters, mommy/daddy characters and or reader, character x character, and more.

@sapphickorro - Once again, the fics are amazing! If you want some good smut or fluff with your favorite women, their account is a go to. Everything she posts is just *chefs kiss*

@yelenasdiary - Fics? Beautiful, outstanding, amazing. They write such incredible fics for awesome characters and just everything they post is once again, *chefs kiss*

@dirtyvulture - If you like variety, go check out their work. They have everything from g!p reader, g!p Nat, beefy!reader, beefy!Nat, angst, fluff, smut, they have everything. They post often and I believe their requests are open as well, if not you still can enjoy some amazing stories and ideas that they post!

@sevikasleftpussyflap - First of all, the name? AMAZING! And if you like Arcane they are a great person to follow. Their Sevika stories are so good and smutty. They post pretty often and also give small little blurbs occasionally.

@gayerthanevertbh - Everything she writes is just fabulous. She has many different series that you can read as well. And if you enjoy angst and hot smut, go check out her work. She also often takes many anon ideas and shares her own ideas of Natasha with everyone.

@agathashcrkness - They’re one of the people who actually encouraged me to start writing. They’re stories are amazing and they give the best Agatha thoughts and fics. If you want some good Agatha appreciation, definitely go to them. They also write for other characters like Nat and still makes hot, amazing, juicy stories that anyone will love.

@wandasdolly - just- amazing. Absolutely incredible how well they write. As you can probably tell from the name, they write for Wanda, and they write her well. If you want some good blurbs for that goddess of a woman, you have to read their work and give them a follow.

@wandasbunny - they haven’t posted in a bit but their work is amazing nonetheless. Once again they mainly write for Wanda but every blurb or fic they make is just fabulous and definitely worth the read.

@90smaximoff - their stories are just so hot! Everything they write is beautifully written and often longer than other fics out there. If you like angst, smut, or fluff, definitely go give their stories a read.

@kitesxromanova - Once again, absolutely stunning work. All their fics are well written and amazing. If you love Nat then you should definitely give their fics a look.

@wndaswife - perfect blog for my Wanda lovers out there. They post everything from mommy!wanda, Dom!wanda, Dom!reader, smut, angst, fluff, etc. They post often and even shares some of their own thoughts often. If you love good stories, check them out right now!

@mrsyelena - Just, beautiful. Amazing fics and amazing thoughts on characters. If you like marvel woman and are in need of good stories for them, just go check them out. Trust me now, thank me later.

@mostlymarvelsstuff - amazing, especially their Nat content. If you like Scarlett and Natasha their blog is definitely worth checking. Their stories are well written and very interesting to read, trust. Me.

@themidnightcrimson - just, I can’t even put into words how amazing their fics are. If you love Elizabeth Olsen and Wanda Maximoff you NEED to check out their blog right this minute. I went through every story they have ever written and let me tell you, I loved each and every one and I know you will too.

@natashaismylove - Amazing g!p and non g!p stories. They post for many characters and each fic is amazing. The smut is just out of this world. And if you like a variety of top!reader, g!p!reader, g!p characters and more you definitely should give their stories a read.

@tahliafox - Their representation on mommy!Nat is just out of this world. If you love soft and sweet smut you need to check them out right this minute. They occasionally give some of their own ideas for little blurbs as well, my personal favorite is innocent!g!p Nat.

@urmomisunderme - The stories are just amazing and definitely should be read. If underrated but talented had a definition, their work would pop up.

@once-upon-a-thigh - started reading their fics after the nerd!Nat story and instantly fell in love with their blog. If you want some good Nat fics you should definitely read theirs, I couldn’t stop picking them back up and rereading them over and over again.

There are many other amazing blogs out there that I may have not mentioned but trust me, that does not mean your blog is bad! I love all the fics people release and appreciate it all. Please give these accounts some love as they deserve all the followers in the world. Happy New Years once again!

Got this ask for Hope and Morgan so I decided to answer this over my main blog so I don't have to answer it twice. Keep in mind the order means nothing. I write everyone down in the order I followed you.

@antvnger: The very first person I found here and interacted with. The Mun is such an amazing Scott and also as mun one of the sweetest persons I ever met. I literally hear Scott's voice in my head and imagine him in this moment everytime I read something that he posted. I'm so lucky that I found him here and that I can interact with this mun. I love stalking his page and read all the answers to ask that he gives and I also love his Bloodbrothers AU with Tony and Scott being brothers.

@spideymn: Spidey Mun was the second person I interacted with here on tumblr and I had so much fun with him. I love talking to the Mun ooc but als to rp with Peter. Spider Mun is such a perfect Peter and just like with Scott I can hear Peter's voice saying the stuff that the Mun writes and imagine him. Spidey Mun is such a sweet and lovely person and I love her and her Spidey so much. She really manages to captures Peter's nerdy, awkward and wholesome character and he's the best Peter I could find here on tumblr and the best big brother I could hope for Morgan. If Morgan hadn't already adopted him Hope would have done it right away. But I know that Peter belongs into the Stark Family. But at least Hope can be like his Bug aunt or something like that.

@neonsoundbite: The both of us haven't interacted that much but we had some ooc conversations and she is also really sweet and lovely and her Oc Lucielle is so amazing. I really love her and I really need to finally read her fanfiction.

@silently-judgingyou: The best MJ that tumblr has. I'm so glad she reached out to me and asked if we want to do something with her MJ and my Morgan. Tbh for some reason it never came to my mind to send Morgan her way but I really love what we have done so far and the plan we have plotted together. I can really see how Morgan is going to see a big sister in MJ as our story progresses and I can't wait to see where our RP will take us. As Muns we haven't interacted that much but from what we wrote together she's such a lovely person and I'm still suprised from that one post how similar she is to MJ. Like the others before it's not hard for me to hear and see MJ in every answer.

@zimnyayavdova & @brooklynbred: One of the sweetest and loveliest person I've got to meet here. Her Oc Anya is just a chef's kiss and her portrayal of Steve is just as amazing. I love RPing with this two characters so much and I also love talking ooc with this Mun. So glad I had the courage to reach out to JJ. I just love her characters so much. JJ's Steve is hands down one of the best Steve's here on tumblr and for me personally even the best! She really manages to capture Steve and his personality perfectly. He's just the sweet and wholesome guy that I always pictured him to be and it's so easy for me to hear his voice and imagine him acting in the situation. It's also so much fun to plot and share ideas together. I mean we really made up the team of the young howlies just because of a picture that I put together in less than five minutes... as a joke... I can't wait to see where our story will take us and how Anya and Katya will grow together but also how Katya's relationship with Steve will progress.

@skallagrimulfhedinn: We also haven't interacted that much yet but when I saw the Mun's Oc I just knew I had to ask if we want to do something together. Till now I only wrote with the character Ash and a bit with her brother Liam but Ash is such an amazing character. She's really a sweet person and I can't wait for Freya to meet Skallagrim.

@azuresrp: The two of us mostly wrote ooc together but this is one of the sweetest persons I found here on tumblr and Ryan is also such an cool and awesome character. When I found him here on tumblr and then also wrote with the mun and we started to plot together I just knew this is going to be so awesome and so much fun. Even if we haven't done that much so far I enjoyed every second and I just love how easy it is to talk with this Mun ooc and to talk about our characters and stories etc.

@vekovoysoldat: The two of us haven't had a rp yet but I went through his page and we talked a bit ooc. And from what I saw I can tell how amazing this person is. I went through some conversations of him with JJ's Anya and Steve and gosh their so amazing. I love their interactions so much and he's such an amazing Bucky. Hopefully we'll manage to start something at one point too. And if I'm already talking about this Mun go and check out his commissions. He is making such amazing things and he's really talented. @stxrksarc: The two of us also only interacted ooc together. But I'm stalking his page every now and then and I love his bond with antvnger's Scott. The two are just so cute cool together and he really is doing an amazing job in portraying Tony and his character. He isn't playing Tony he IS Tony.

@sah1x1s: Another Mun who I haven't interacted that much with but we talked ooc and I love going through her blog and see what she's posting. She has so many muses and it's so hard to decided with which I want to interact.

So, Spooky did a thing a while back where she talked about how amazing people are, and I was inspired to do that as well! So, here are some of my rambly thoughts on a handful of people in the Superstar Daycare server, starting with Spooky herself!

Spooky is an amazing person. Hands down. She is always willing to listen to whatever crazy rambles pop up. I first interacted with Spooky when I scared her by suddenly disconnecting from a call and I apologized for spooking Spooky lol. Her art is just to die for and I always feel supported when I talk to her. She’s always there to pick someone up if they’re feeling down. Oh, and Spooky is the one who drew my amazing profile picture!

They are slowly becoming the parent of the group, I swear. Suo is always there to make sure you’re taking care of yourself and to help you if you’re having a problem. They are so full of love and always willing to share it! If you say hi, good chances are Suo is there to greet you with love! Suo is also such an amazing artist who loves to make drawings for others. Their style is so pleasing and shaped, seriously.

Opu is full of fun and mischief, in my humble opinion. Whenever you’re talking to them, you’re going to have a fun conversation! Also, seriously, they are another amazing artist to add to the ever-growing list. HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR ANIMATIONS???? SO GOOD! I swear I can watch his stuff over and over again.

Her love of Ghost Busters and Frankeinstien is so infectious, I swear. And have you seen her OCs??? Go ask her about them because they are amazing, from Cassia to Barry!

Oh boy, I have so much to say about Ari and how awesome they are. A coder, an artist, a great voice for reading; I could go on. Ari is another person who is always making sure we take care of ourselves, from making sure we drink water to getting enough sleep. Ari is also a very hard worker, and is so talented! They were also kind enough to explain a bit to me about how coding works, which is so nice of them! Ari deserves all the love, just like everyone else here lol.

Okapi is so cool! She is a kind and caring person who is great to talk to. She’s there to listen and is another hard worker! Okapi gives off a motherly and calming aura, if that makes sense? She and a few others have been coming up with an AU that is super expansive and so cool to read! I love talking to her so much.

I will never stop giving Kay the praise she deserves! Kay’s art and creativity is just off the walls, and they are such an awesome person! Kay is so much fun to talk to. Kay is another really kind person, too. I love interacting with them and just overall feel relaxed when we’re chatting. I think Kay is one of the first people I really bonded with in the DCA fandom along with some others on this list.

Gah, Lily is so so incredible! She was one of the first people I started following for DCA stuff. Lily is so cool and stunning, I love talking to her so much. Lily is both an amazing artist and an amazing writer. I could probably write a 5-page essay on how much I love her and her work. Lily is also great at giving us little clues to solve mysteries around CCRT, and just out of nowhere she’ll drop lore for us to unravel and I love it! It’s always a good time when Lily is around and just- gah she’s so cool!

Spacie is totally feral in a good way, honestly. Talking with them is an adventure that I love. I think they pretty much have everyone beat in the humor department and I will die on that hill, sorry. You’ll never be bored when you’re talking to them, and who can forget how they started the great Sunasspocolypse? I’m so glad they did, too, cause that’s part of how I found them on tumblr lol. Spacie’s art, OCs, ideas; they’re all stunning and I love them! Not to mention their singing voice cause damn, Spacie has the voice of an angel!

What is the main lesson of your story (e.g. kindness, diversity, anti-war), and why did you choose it?

For the Millennium Saga (because Whispers doesn't have a lesson or moral really), I'd say that the main lesson/theme of it is that there's strength in diversity and kindness!! And personhood is something that should never be revoked, even for the best of the best and the worst of the worst.

I didn't actively choose that theme to be the driving force behind TMS, but considering The World Right Now and how I feel about things, it was kind of inevitable that it would end up that way.

3. What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, help readers grow as a person?

The Millennium Saga has a few different MCs, and the story gets handed off between them at different points, but in the interest of keeping this simple I'll narrow this down to two <3

Ember is trying to give the world a better future because they care so much about everything and everyone, and as the author, they're the one representing that anyone is capable of helping others, but no one should have to do it alone.

Dusk wants to understand the world and who/what he is, and wants to connect with the people around him in much the same way. As the author, he's one (of many) examples of how people will always defy expectation and you can't make assumptions about anyone just by looking at what's on the surface or how they describe themself. (Especially because he's, narratively, a driving force of love throughout the text, and he's on the aroace spectrum and neurodivergent.)

7. Do you have any words of [encouragement] for fellow writers of Writeblr? What other writers of Tumblr do you follow?

I think the main thing I have always wanted to say for encouragement is that writing will always be there when you come back to it. You can step back for as long as you want, and it will always be there if/when you need or want it again. There's no time limit or age cap, period.

As for other writers I follow: there's. Literally too many to list (I follow >500 blogs and the majority are writeblrs, active and not) but for some people who maybe don't get shouted out as often:

@harehearts (his writing style is absolutely enrapturing, as is his art) @kd-holloman (they've published their work recently, and it's on my wishlist!!) @tisiphonewolfe (she's a lovely human all around, and I've loved everything I've learned about her WIP The Tectomancy Saga!!) @my-cursed-prince (she's got so many delightful characters and awesome AUs!) @writingrosesonneptune (again, she's got a writing style I adore literally so much) @lanawritesalittle (their writing!! is so atmospheric!! and I love every last bit of it!!) and @rhikasa (his worldbuilding is just *chef's kiss* and he's been a lovely presence here on writeblr for as long as I can remember!!)

HOLY CROW HI EVERYONE!! It’s time for another Resbang! I was so incredibly lucky to get paired with @the-brightest-fell, and you guys, they are AMAZING. Their fic, alignment, is BRILLIANT. I have no words to describe how good fell’s writing is. I was squealing and screaming and FLAILING while reading their work. I can’t believe I got to work with someone so amazing. THANK YOU FELL!!

We also got to work with the incredible @thiefofblood as well, and HOLY CRAP their artwork is BEAUTIFUL! Their lineart is so CLEAN and their colors are *chefs kiss*. Working with both of them was the best experience ever. They were so sweet and encouraging and I really hope I get to work with both of them again in the future!!

I...worked my butt off on this guys. I tried so hard, and I’m so friggin proud of how it turned out. I’ve never drawn a swamp before, and I don’t do backlighting ever. And I wanted to push myself and do an action scene, and I am just so HAPPY. Cause when I read this scene in the fic I just knew I had to draw it. All that hard work paid off!

Okay fuck it, I gotta give in, I gotta watch through Supernatural. AFAIK, it's all on Netflix; at least I saw it on there in passing. Going into this, is there anything I should be aware of? Are there any episodes I should skip, any seasons? Should I start from season 4? I know the basic plot and concept, and I know it's very monster-of-the-week. But aside from me highkey shipping Destiel already, that's all.

Well my first piece of advice would be

but uh, let’s fucking ~GO~

If you’re actually jumping into this hellhole (why why why) don’t start at season 4. It’s tempting, but seasons 1-3 are some of the best shit in the whole show, also having context for Sam and Dean’s characters, and their relationship with the supernatural up to season 4 really highlights how fucking wild the introduction of angels is in the show. it’s basically a complete paradigm shift.

I would recommend you watch seasons 1-5 basically as is, though if you’re in a rush, season three is kinda skippable as long as you read a general synopsis. This is the original arc of the show and it shows. A friend of mine, @sammwinchestersdimples has said she’d have been fine if the show had ended there, and I can totally see her point. After season five things start to get... uhhhhh... not as good. THAT BEING SAID some really amazing seasons come later, and you’d get nowhere NEAR the Full Destiel Experience without them. What REALLY sucks is that all the seasons have good moments in them, so even if the seasons are generally bad, they’ll have episodes of GOLD. But fuck it, here’s a season-by-season breakdown.

Season 6 - This is the first... “eh” season. There’s a lot of character choices made in this one that I don’t like. The plot also doesn’t quite seem to know what to do with itself and it has no real main villain... or I guess it has a twist villain? This is also the season where they start chucking in the typical “no homos” you get when a show is queerbaiting, so they can point to the no homo bits and claim the queers are delusional.

Season 7 - The absolute WORST season, imo, is season 7, and it features Cas the least out of all the post season 4 seasons. You can tell the writers genuinely tried to write Cas off here. Not to mention the main plot is completely stupid. HOWEVER this is the season where we get golden things like Cas showing up to Dean’s prayer naked and covered in bees, and the episode where Charlie (best girl) is introduced and Dean subsequently has to flirt with a dude because she, a lesbian, cannot. (Wow so straight, Dean)

Episodes Not To Skip:

6x03 - A good Cas/plot episode (spot the famous destiel quote)

6x04 - A good all-round episode, also Jackles directed it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

6x09 - This is one of the Batshit Episodes. Definitely watch.

6x10 - On the one hand, Cas episode. On the other, no homo, megstiel episode. Your choice.

6x11 - Good episode.

6x15 - THE ULTIMATE META EPISODE. Sam and Dean are teleported into Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles’ lives on the set of Supernatural and it is so batshit.

6x17 - Jolly good episode, and nice destiel content.

6x18 - Time travel episode, which is always fun.

6x19 - “Baby in a trenchcoat.” ‘Nough said.

6x20 - The Man Who Would Be King is the destiel episode. It is infamous in the fandom, and for good reason. It’s not just a good destiel episode, but one of the best episodes in the series. With banging lines like “Freedom is a length of rope. God wants you to hang yourself with it.” and “For a brief moment, I was me again.”

6x21 & 6x22 - The last two episodes are kind of must-watches after TMWWBK, trust me.

Episodes Not To Skip:

7x01 & 7x02 - follows on from s6 final. You don’t wanna skip.

7x05 - Good general episode

7x06 - Again, good general episode. Sets ups plot for the season.

7x08 - Ugh. So the A plot for this episodes invoves Becky, the insane, stalker, fandom-insert character, roofie Sam into marrying her (and it’s heavily implied they have sex - and it’s treated as a joke despite being LITERAL RAPE). BUT this is the episode where Garth is introduced and Garth is fucking amazing. So. IDEK.

7x10 & 7x11 - Plot important.

7x12 - Time travel episode! See if you can catch the bi!dean moment ;)

7x17 - Cas is back! Or is he???

7x18 - GARTH EPISODE

7x20 - CHARLIE!!!! WATCH THIS EPISODE!!!!

7x21 - Cas episode. It’s... interesting.

7x22 - The tagline for this episode is “Sam and Dean seek out an Alpha” 😭. It’s a Cas episode.

7x23 - If Cas weren’t in this episode I’d say skip it.

Season 8 - A fantastic season. If The Man Who Would Be King is the destiel episode, season 8 is the destiel season. When you watch this, DM me so I can RANT about all the amazing destiel this season. It’s also, again, a great season in general I remember watching it as it was airing it was soooo good. You have the arrival of the Bunker, you have Kevin and Charlie being awesome, some nice sprinkles of batshit episodes, BEST BOY BENNY rocks up in all his glory. Fucking epic season. Only downside it Sam’s character takes a bit of a dive. I’d recommend you watch through all of this season.

Episodes To AVOID:

7x13 - I literally pretend this stupid fucking episode doesn’t exist. Basically Dean impregnates a woman with Super Pregnancy and she has a daughter who becomes an adult within hours and then dies. The end. Everyone hated it. Man fuck this episode. Of course it was written by Buckleming.

Season 9 - Sadly, after how amazing season 8 was, and how spectactularly season 9 was set up, this season is a disappointment. It’s an ok season. It’s not bad, it’s not good, it’s just a bit all over the place.

I was going to give you the normal episode list to not skip, but looking through, most episodes this season should be watched for one reason or another. Either they’re Cas heavy, they do some interesting character building, or they feature one of the awesome side characters like Charlie or Jody.

This season is probably the height of the war in the writers’ room about destiel. Some writers want to no homo the whole thing and back way off, while other writers want to lean into it hard. So in the same season where SPOILER Cas loses his virginity to a random reaper woman and Dean kicks Cas out of the bunker to fend for himself, you also have Cas’ fatal flaw used as propaganda against him by Metatron being that he’s "in love” with humanity Dean. /SPOILER Whatever you do DON’T SKIP THE FINAL FEW EPISODES. TRUST ME.

Season 10 - Haha oh dear. This season is likely the biggest for wasted potential. You saw the end of season 9, right? You go “HOLY SHIT YES LET’S DO THIS” and then they do... season 10. They really became experts at setting up an awesome season only to fuck it up in delivery, right? Again, not a bad season, per se.

Episodes To AVOID:

9x05 - In which Dean wants to fuck a dog. I am not joking. I wish I were. Basically a spell-gone-wrong makes Dean doglike. it’s weird. it’s batshit. Not the good kind.

Season 11 - Season 11 is a pretty good season! They tried to give Dean a female love interest but Jackles said ✨No✨ and played Dean as brainwashed and uncomfortable the whole time and I love him for it. Of special note this season is the episode Baby (11x04), which is my favourite episode in the series! It’s funny, it’s heartwarming, it’s weirdly shot. I love it! We also get casifer this season which is awesome! Some episodes are skippable, but they’re generally good episodes.

Episodes NOT to Skip (ignore the 10 year special):

10x01 & 10x02 - Great episodes, Dean in this is *chefs kiss*.

10x04 - *sighs* Fan Fiction. A 200th episode that is simultaneously a love letter to fans and laughing in fans’ faces. I’ve never liked this episode for the second-hand embarressment of it all, but you should watch it and see if you like it.

10x06 - Pretty good episode.

10x07 - Jody AND Donna! Fantastic episode!

10x08 - Dadstiel rears his ugly head. I fucking love how Cas adopts two (2) kids over the course of the series and in both cases Dean eventually goes “ah fuck, I guess I gotta co-parent this thing”. Also we get some KILLER destiel this episode. hey go on a DATE and Cas tells Dean he’s a good person ^_^

OK so I just had a look, and you really just need to watch every episode from this point in the season on. Enjoy!

Season 12 - Another example of a TERRRIBLE season, is season 12. Season 12 is also one of the most destiel-heavy seasons in the show. You see the issue? Like, it’s got a stupid plot that makes no sense and has no fucking cohesion, but you also FINALLY have the writers going “fuck it” and all in on the destiel. After this point Dean never has another non-Cas love interest and vice versa, they stop giving us whiplash from baiting and no-homoing. IF the conspiracy theory is true, and the end of the show is shit because of executive meddling, this season is the one where the writers decided they were gonna push for destiel endgame.

I gotta tell you the truth, I skipped this season in my rewatch, so all of my memories are from years ago when it first came out. This seson was the last that I watched live (for a reason). Should you skip it? No. But I’m not well informed enough about this season that I can point out what episodes you should or should not watch.

Season 13 - Congratulations! You’ve reached the point where the show’s gotten consistently good again! (just in time for most of the audience to have already left lol). We start off with SPOILERS Dean mourning Cas like he’s lost the will to fucking live. I’m talking complete despondence, praying for Cas to come back, lashing out in anger at everything, one of the darkest points we’ve ever seen him at on the show, then pulling a 180 and being super happy the second Cas comes back. /SPOILERS They also introduce Jack, who is the SECOND child Cas decides to adopt and Dean ends up co-parenting (Sam too). In fact, Jack is explicity Sam, Cas, and Dean’s kid.

Season 14 - Another good one. My only issue is where they decided to take the plot at the end of the season. I’d recommend watching it all, regardless.

Season 15 - And so we’ve come to the end of the line. This season was... well it was actually pretty good. It started off with what we hellers lovingly refer to as the “divorce arc” where Cas and Dean have a big blow up, and Cas leaves, but that ends with Dean praying on his knees for forgiveness and a nice hug. Honestly this season you can cut the tension between the two of them like a knife, and you can tell Misha and Jensen were doing it deliberately.

I’d say watch up until 15x18, then you decide what to do with the last two episodes. If you want you can watch them to understand just why people put their conspiracy theory hats on, or you can send me another ask and I’ll rec you some post 15x18 finale fics! There’s one fic that’s a replacement for 15x20 written in script format that is particularly good.

Anyway that’s it. It’s kind of left me a little sad, to break down the show in this way. Especially coming up to season 15 nd remembering all the wasted potential. Honestly if you do decide to watch the show, good luck. I hope you enjoy it. I’m also glad you never had to be put through the bullshit false hope that came about after 15x18.

He looked so good and natural!!! And everything was just mwah, chef's kiss 💋

Anyway, omg this was such a detailed request, I was so excited to write it!! Of course, you always come up with one of the best ideas for me!

2020 End of Year Friendship Post

Alright, you guys know that I love to make gushing posts about people I’ve grown fond of.

Well, I’ve decided to make a big one for the end of the year. Celebrate the friendships I’ve created and/or maintained in the last year. This is obviously not EVERYBODY as I have shit memory and some of my friends have left the site (T_T) but this list will be a bit long, so I’m gonna post everything under a cut so that it doesn’t bother people having to scroll past it. (: to the people not mentioned in this but that follow me: thank you so much for supporting me & my writing adventure. I know that my blog has been through ups and downs, has changed immensely in the course of the past year, but I hope that you guys still enjoy and do not regret following it.

2. @franky-ts - girl... you’ll always be my twinny. Always, always. I can’t imagine life without you in it. Even through me deleting my blogs what, 3-4 times now since we met? “Upon a Hill, Across a Blue Lake”, I know it's an older fic of yours, but it's still one of my favorite Darcy/Steve/Bucky fics to exist, so I am curious. What inspired you to write it? Why did you choose this pairing? And what do you like best about it? It has a bit of everything I love with that pairing, humor, sexiness, protectiveness, fluff and sweetness. It’s just *chef kisses*. Also been a follower for a while now and your blog is awesome too <3

Oooo thank you for the ask and following @unlimitedhappylife!!!! I'm glad my random, sporadic reblogs are enjoyed haha.

At the time I wrote it (2016ish) I was deep into Marvel's ABO fics and had pretty much exhausted all the Omega!Darcy I could find. I really love Darcy, she's such a versatile, relatable character, and I'm greedy, so giving her TWO hunky Alphas just seemed like more of a good thing. Especially since Steve and Bucky have such a romance going on that I hate to break them up.

I think I like the banter in this fic a lot! Sometimes dialogue can be REALLY hard, especially when you're going for flirty or sarcastic, and that's a LOT of Darcy, so when it came together well I was really happy, and this fic has some good lines. I'm so glad you like it!

So... in writing this response I found the other bunch of Steve/Darcy/Bucky ficlets that never got off the ground. Here's a scene that never fit anywhere else and never went anywhere, but was inspired by the same drive as "Upon a Hill, Across a Blue Lake"!

"Black Eye Short"

Darcy hustled into the lab with her head down, scarf pulled up high, and bangs shaggy and low. She’d managed to dodge any looks from the security guard by sipping on her coffee, then hiding in the corner of the elevator. So far so good.

“Darcy can you add these computations to the computer and—“ Jane cut off as she got a good look at Darcy’s face. The angle from her seat in the office chair was just perfect to see the shiner Darcy was sporting. “Oh my god what happened?” Jane jumped up and yanked at Darcy’s scarf.

“It’s fine, it’s nothing Janey!” Darcy protested, batting at Jane’s hands. “Just an accident. I don’t want people to see it though or they’ll get the wrong idea.

Jane was peering at Darcy with real concern though. “The makeup’s not doing much,” she tutted. “How’d you get that?”

“Uh,” Darcy fumbled with her coffee cup. “Fell and hit a doorknob in the dark?”

Jane frowned at her and put her hands on her hips. “No Alpha will fall for that.”

Darcy sagged and Jane snatched the coffee cup away and pushed Darcy into a chair. While Jane’s nurturing instinct wasn’t very strong, seeing her best friend and fellow Omega in distress triggered what little instinct she had. “Tell me what really happened.”

“You know my friend Ashley? Well some Alpha was outside the club she celebrated at for her birthday two days ago and he got handsy. I shoved him off, you know, and pulled out my taser, but before I could get the shot off he did this.” Darcy gestured at the black eye, wincing. “Don’t worry, the bouncer got him after that and the cops hauled him off, but…”

Jane dabbed at the bruise with her cover-up in the hopes of hiding the greenish black color, but the swelling and bloodshot eye were a dead giveaway. “Why did you come in? You know you could have called.”

“Your research is due in two days and you can’t write a summary for shit. I couldn’t let you down.” Jane frowned and dabbed harder until Darcy winced. “Just don’t let any Alphas see me. They’ll make a big fuss and it’ll get all around the Tower. My reputation as a tough Omega will be done.”

Jane finished her work on the eye and sat back in her own chair. “We all know you’re a big softie inside,” she said, putting aside the concealer and rolling back to her desk. “You wouldn’t force-feed everyone dinner otherwise.”

Darcy rolled her eyes. “And you’re never any help Jane.” She said it with a smile though, thinking fondly of her erratic, dreamer of a boss and best friend. Jane didn’t fulfill any quintessentially Omega traits and Darcy loved that about her. She didn’t mind it either when Darcy let her instincts rule her sometimes, or when Darcy held them back and tazed Alphas. Now if only she could find an Alpha that was the same.

It wasn’t hard to avoid the Avengers and their Alpha members down in the labs. Jane’s side was only visited by Thor usually, and he was in Asgard for a few days at some kind of council. Tony was an Alpha but he was in a creative fog that Darcy would pull him out of eventually. Bruce, a beta, was very much in his own world, so as long as Darcy didn’t hit up the common living areas for a week or so no one would see the massive bruise on her face.

Alas, best laid plans…

“Huh, oh, uh, hi Captain,” Darcy heard Jane said in a vague, distracted voice. It was the sound of someone pulling Jane from her concentration, so Darcy started heading over. She was back by the filing cabinets so couldn’t see the visitor, but she instantly recognized that voice.

“—It seems Tony’s locked himself in but Bruce said Darcy had access. He was doing some modifications on my equipment and I’m being asked to field test them otherwise I’d wait. Can I borrow your assistant for a little while?”

Darcy had frozen in place at Steve’s polite question, knowing somehow he had that perfect, boy scout smile on his face that he well knew melted all kinds of underwear.

“Well, uh, Darcy’s in the middle of something but I’m sure she can get Tony in a bit. Jarvis can let you know when,” Jane said, and Darcy silently fist-pumped for her friend. Way to help an Omega out.

“I’m sorry Jane, but it’s time-sensitive. It won’t take more than a minute, I promise. Just to let me into the lab where Tony’s at.” Uh oh, Darcy peeked over the top of some humming machine and spotted the slight hunching of Steve’s shoulders. The puppy eyes. Jane was a goner.

Jane definitely stuttered and it took even her enormous brain a second to catch up after being hit with those big blue eyes. “Uh, um, yeah, sure, she’s back there in the filing cabinets.”

In a flash Darcy popped her compact mirror open, looked at her black eye, and decided she’d have to put off Steve without looking at him. At least she’d be immune to the puppy eyes then.

She turned to go and of course banged into something that let off a blast of smoke, and by the time she stumbled away she’d walked smack into Steve Rogers. He grasped her by the shoulders as she coughed.

“You okay? There’s a few loose things around here.”

“Yeah, I know,” Darcy coughed once more and looked up at him, forgetting for a second her eye. The moment his blue eyes went wide though remembered. “Shit.”

“What happened?” His hand went up automatically and then he thought better of it. His tone turned dark. “Who did that to you?”

“Doorknob,” Darcy squeaked. His pupils had blown as he took in the injury, his shoulders and arms bunched with tensed muscle. Suddenly he looked a lot more like the terrifying Alpha he could be on the battlefield and Darcy was having a completely inappropriate reaction.

“The damage is too spread out for a doorknob,” he rumbled, and this time he turned her cheek with his big, calloused palm and really looked at the shiner. “Patterned like a fist.”

Darcy’s nose was this close to his wrist that it took her a second to realize he’d asked her something.

“Darcy. Tell me who did this.”

She shuddered. “It’s okay, I’m fine, he’s fine. Well, not fine, but you know, behind bars, or at least I think so—“

Steve’s hand didn’t leave her face but he stroked her cheek once. “An Alpha did this?” He was obviously trying to be soothing but his voice was still in dangerous waters.

“Uh, yeah, at a bar. He was drunk, I was drunk, and my taser got stuck sideways in my purse and then…”
