I got so much flute practice/learning motivation today from the theater show I saw today (technically yesterday) and I can't wait for it to be tomorrow (techinally later today oop) so I can take out my flute and practice for my upcoming concert since I will be "graduating" from the basic level flute studies and moving onto the advabced studies after that. I got over 7 years behind me and more to go and I'm very proud of myself for going at it for this long.

You will most likely hear more about this concert in the upcoming weeks and month as I prepare for it!

I have had the honor of performing both this harp and flute obbligato sonata and the Mozart harp and flute concerto, so it was an interesting tidbit that the two pieces might have related origins. Not only that, but it was great to hear more about one of my favorite composers, Joseph de Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. His elegance and bravado in his string work has really impressed me, even if I'm not a string player myself. Plus, the 1770s through the 1790s is one of my favorite periods of music, period. Add in one of my favorite music channels on YouTube and you've got yourself a great video!
