Baltimore’s own Fluid Movement dedicated this year’s water ballet to water infrastructure.
Photo 1: Dancers dramatize the escape of water from older pipes into rock structures.
Photo 2: A choir explains how to care for our water system in four-part harmony.
Photo 3: Dancers playing the roles of scientists and chlorine prepare to go into the water to confront dancers playing the role of typhoid.
Photo 4: Dancers illustrate the insoluble mess that occurs when we put grease, oil, and “flushable” wipes into the water system.
Photo 5: Dancers portraying fish dance with dancers personifying death by plastic litter. Both swam beautifully in partnership before coming back on the pool deck, where the fish dancers performed a dramatic death.

Artist research for movement:
Today I did some research into artists I found interesting and that correlated with my theme of body movements. The three artists I found and liked were Edgar Degas, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Arianna Piazza for the contemporary art side.

Three characters that all consistently invoke gender envy in me that are otherwise entirely unrelated past the ability to Mess You Up:
The Xenomorph from alien isolation
Hua cheng from HOB
Lord shen from kung-fu panda 2
Like???? Pretty boy ghost King I get, but an evil animated peacock and a murderous lizard monkey thing with eel jaws?? Hello???
