Finral x Finesse, Lumiere x Nero and Yami x Charlotte for the ship game 💚💛💙

Hi Just-a-little-fan! 💕

I really like all of these ships 😍 Overall I'm a big fan of "canon" stuff.

Finral x Finesse -> makes sense, compels me (I’m jut not that greatly passionate about them right now)

They obviously make sense from the canonic standpoint. Finral really likes Finesse and he tries to fight his “curse” to be with her. They are cute and adorable. I am including them in my fic. 

However I admit I used to be more passionate about them before joining the fandom, not sure why. Maybe because I got to know some cute OC ships such as @cloverkingsmith Nita (I love her so much). 

However I am hoping that once I get to writing them I’ll recover some of that passion, because I want Finral to be happy and Finesse is really sweet.

Lumiere x Nero -> makes sense, compels me (I’ll make an art of them for BC ships)

It makes so much sense. They are super cute together. Canonically they support each other so much and in my opinion are perfect for one another. It’s sad that they did not get a happy ending. It compels me of how they bring out the best in one another. Also they are just adorable. Nero being the “though” one and Lumiere a sweet cinnamon roll. 

@meircury makes some awesome arts for them and hopefully soon I’ll make my own.

Yami x Charlotte -> makes sense, compels me

YES. They were my favourite BC ship for a while. They’re dynamic is just so sweet and funny. Canonically they make a lot of sense with Charlotte’s apparent crush on Yami and how he saved her. Yami is oblivious, but now that he knows I really hope they will talk and sort this out. 

They compel me for so many reasons, both being captains, the beauty and the beast vibes, just how different they are, but how great they can be together. 

My first BC ships art was for them and they will appear in Paper Hearts at the right time.

Finral was nervous. He paced the living room of the Bulls’ hideout, a small box clenched in his hands. His mind was racing. What if she didn’t like it? What if it was too forward? What if she took it the wrong way and rejected him? What if—

“Hey, Finral!”

Her voice made him freeze in his tracks and whirl around to face her, hiding the box behind him. “H-Hey, Vanessa! What’s up?”

The witch smiled as she strode over to him, her keen gaze glancing at his hidden hands. “What are you so worked up about? You’ll wear a path in the floor if you keep pacing like that.”

Had she seen him? Of course she had, what was he thinking? Still, he tried to act nonchalant. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m just taking a walk…inside.” He cringed; even he could hear how lame that sounded. “Because of the snow. And the wind.”

“Finral,” she said gently, “what are you hiding from me?”

“Nothing!” His reply was too quick and too loud and he knew it.

“Finral…”

“It’s nothing! Don’t worry about it, it’s just…” He hurried to shove the box into his tunic. “Nothing.”

Vanessa looked him over once, seemed to come to a conclusion, and gave him another sweet smile. “Is it something for me?”

This time, no words came to him. He stood there totally silent, gulping.

“Finral,” she teased, reaching forward to pinch his ribs and make him squeak in surprise, “just tell me what’s going on. You can trust me, right?”

“Ah! Of c-cohohohourse I truhuhuhuhust you, but – ahahahahaha, Vanessa, stohohohohohop!” Finral pleaded, giggling despite himself, squirming as she pinched and prodding along his ticklish torso.

“Then what’s the matter?”

“It’s nohohohohohohohothing! I swehehehehehear!”

“If it’s nothing, why won’t you let me see what’s in the box?”

Finral was blushing bright pink by now, the color matching his green tunic beautifully – to Vanessa, anyway. He cackled and tried pushing her away, but it was halfhearted at best. “Okahahahahay, okay, I’ll shohohohohow you! Just stahahahahahap!”

Vanessa did as she was asked and let him be, and she watched him with a smile as he shakily reached for the box he’d tried to hide earlier. After a brief moment of hesitation, he thrust it toward her and said, “Happy holidays, Vanessa.”

She blinked in surprise, taking the box and gingerly lifting the lid. Inside was a beautiful pair of silver earrings – just her color, and exactly her style. She looked back up at him. “Finral…”

“If you don’t like them, I won’t be upset,” he rushed to say, keeping his eyes averted from her. “I’m not trying to be presumptuous, I just thought of you, and—”

Vanessa pressed a kiss to his cheek, effectively shutting him up, and smiled at him again. “They’re beautiful, Finral. I love them. Thank you.”

Finral traced his fingers along the spot her lips had touched and felt himself blushing furiously, but he couldn’t hide his own return smile. “Y-You’re welcome. Happy holidays, Vanessa.”

“Happy holidays, Finral.”

Hi Lola! Thank you so much for your ask and the welcome back. It's nice to be back, and I'm very excited to answer your ask. Thanks for sending it in and for playing! 💖

Zora x Nebra I honestly never thought about or would have thought about if not for the fandom. I'm not sure I can really imagine my personal perceptions of Zora and Nebra really getting along with each other seeing as they are so different as people and have such wildly different priorities and values, but if they did manage to come to appreciate, respect, and even admire their differences (as they do in some of the great fics I've had the pleasure to read about them 😊), then I could definitely support the ship. I can also see how the banter they might have would be fun and entertaining. I just personally don't have much of an opinion on it or any clear ideas on how it would happen or what their interactions with each other would be like, so I'd say I'm pretty neutral on this one personally, but I do see the appeal. ^^

Finral x Vanessa is a favorite pairing of mine for sure, though I also love them in a purely platonic sense as well. I did the big write up about them here, but to summarize, the Finral and Vanessa dynamic whether romantic or platonic has always been one of my favorite things in all of Black Clover. They just know each other so well, are so good for each other, and just care for each other so much and so deeply as friends. They're basically platonic soulmates in my opinion. For that reason, there is definitely a part of me that doesn't want to change the dynamic at all and doesn't want it to go to a romantic place. It is so beautiful and so healthy just as friendship and the world needs more examples of healthy, deep, and platonic relationships (and male-female friendships especially!), but... on the other hand, I'll admit imagining their friendship taking a more romantic turn someday is a huge guilty pleasure for me.

I'm usually not much into romance in fiction or in real life, but best friends to lovers (when it's done well) can really get to me, and in this particular case, I think, after everything Vanessa and Finral have both been through and suffered in their lives, it's just nice to imagine that they get to have a happy future and a relationship that's comfortable and easy with someone who really understands them—someone who is genuinely supportive and who truly sees them for who they are: both the good and the bad and who chooses to loves them anyway. 🩷💚

And I don't think it is completely impossible for them for find it with each other (even if it's definitely unlikely, especially now that Finral's history with Finesse has been established). While I do believe they are genuinely best friends (and not in any sort of "mutual pining" situation or something like that), the idea of them as a ship does make sense to me because I can imagine their relationship taking a more romantic turn under certain, specific circumstances (that take place way, way in the future after Finral does some serious soul-searching: learns to love himself, kicks that incessant flirting habit, builds confidence, and sorts out what it is that he actually wants, just to name a few things), and I can imagine a world where they could end up romantically interested in each other and happy together in that way, in a relationship that develops healthily and naturally by just building on that strong friendship foundation they already have kind of like the ‘icing on the cake’ of their already amazing bond. It's not impossible, I think, and I'll admit it is something I really enjoy thinking about and sometimes exploring in my fics.

They are definitely in the "guilty pleasure ship" category, but I do think it makes sense (to an extent) and it's extremely compelling for me and one of my favorite canon character x canon character pairings in Black Clover.

hiya lyra! for the ship ask: yuneva? (i know your opinions already, but i like seeing you talk about them) and finessa :3

Hiya Tam! This ask actually came at the right time since I’m a little annoyed with school at the moment 😆! And I know I already answered for YuNeva, but I will answer again because I love them so much 🤧! Also I will certainly talk about Finessa!!

So for YuNeva *ahem* I am 100% biased in this, but imo, they make sense and compel me 😌. I love my opposites attract, but there’s something about people with similar personalities (but opposite appearances) that also pull me in 😆! They’re just so…good together. They don’t really force each other out of their comfort zones, but instead kind of ease each other out of them gradually! Neva helps Yuno warm up to the other GD members, while Yuno helps her begin to trust the others. Also I love how in sync and comfortable they are around each other, because the whole “they say together in comfortable silence” thing that I have with them was completely unintentional, like, I honestly put that in there because I didn’t know what else to do! But it just fits them so well, and I just…i love them your honor 😭!

(Also I love the fact that Neva wasn’t actually supposed to be shipped with Yuno, but somehow during her development she became more and more suited to him and now I can’t imagine her being shipped with anyone else 😆!)

Finessa (Finral x Vanessa) are another ship that makes sense and compels me 😆! They are certainly the “friends to lovers” trope and I just love how they’re both flirty but in different ways (Vanessa is the confident flirt, while Finral is the “i ‘pretend’ to be confident but I’m actually pretty shy” flirt). I also love how the two have tried to not let their traumatic childhoods affect how they are now, and the two can kind of bond? over that. I just really love their vibes together 😭!

Charmy x Rill -> makes sense, compels me

They make sense from canonic standpoint. Rill is crushing on Charmy even though he doesn’t know it’s her, but also platonically likes her “smaller” form. They get along well and both have their quirks. They’re adorable and passionate. Very sweet.

They do compel me and I drew an art for them. However I admit that similarly to Finessa lately I’ve grown very fond of a certain OC for Rill (Izzy that’s you, @ravioli-fries), so my passion for them slightly plummeted. I still really like them though.

Vanessa x Finral -> makes sense, kind of compels me

They make sense, because of how close they are and I’ve actually read some fluffy adorable stuff for them. They work great as a team and are oftenly paired together, so I see them as a ship, but I also see them as simply best friends. I’m fine with both and I don’t have very strong opinions on this. They would have a very sweet dynamic and they truly trust one another. They're both silly, but so supportive and we can see how much they care for each other.

In my fic I write them as best friends with Helena and that’s how I mostly see them ^^

“Hold still, Finral!” Vanessa laughed, chasing after the boy as he tried to roll away from her tickling fingers, cackling into the floor. One hand shakily reached back to try and grab her while the other clenched into a fist that pounded the ground.

“Cahahahahahan’t hehehehehehelp it!” Finral whined back. He let out a yelp when she suddenly flipped him onto his back and straddled his waist, making his eyes widen and blush darken. She latched onto his lower ribs and dug in ruthlessly, and he tossed his head back with a shriek, hands loosely grasped around her wrists. “Stahahahahahahahap!”

“Aww, but I just got started~” she teased, reaching one hand up to scribble against his neck. She grinned at his resulting squeak and scrunched shoulders. “You’re cute like this, Finral.”

“I’m nohohohohohohot!” he protested, then tried to wind it back by saying, “Wehehehehell, I mehehehehean, if you thihihihihink I’m cuhuhuhuhute, I guess thahahahahat’s okay – GAH!!”

Vanessa giggled along with him as he flailed his arms uselessly in her general direction. She’d reached behind her to grab one of his knees and squeeze, and the resulting ticklish panic on his face was well worth the risk of his potentially getting her back for this.

“Plehehehehehease, not agahahahahahain! Not thehehehehehehere!” he begged, briefly grasping her leg at one point before quickly pulling away a second later, his instinct to respect her overriding his desire to get away from her tickling.

“But I love how it makes you wiggle around like a fish out of water,” Vanessa cooed, slipping her fingers under his knee to get at the soft underside. “And hearing you laugh makes all of us happy, you know?”

Finral had his head tossed back with uncontrollable laughter at this point, but he still managed to catch what she’d said a few seconds later. “IT DOHOHOHOHOHOHOES?!”

“Of course! We like seeing you happy, sweetie.”

He blushed through his hysterics, arms flailing and legs scrabbling against the floor as much as they could in this position. Finally he settled for covering his face with his arms. “FIHIHIHIHIHINE!! I GUEHEHEHEHEHESS I CAN TAHAHAHAHAKE IT!!”

Vanessa beamed at him and used her thread magic to make him uncover his face so she could see his huge smile. “That’s our Finral.”
