Felinette November Prompt Week, Day 7, Sun. (Nov 27): Dawn & Dusk
Hey guys! The last story for @felinettenovember week!
! TRIGGER WORNING FOR ANXIETY ATTACK and FEAR OF THE DARK !
______________________
She wakes up, sits up in bed and looks into the darkness of the night room.
In the gap between the curtains, she sees the sky, – still dark, but no longer as dark as midnight, because dawn is about to come and the horizon will begin to brighten, chasing the darkness of the night, – along with all its fears and anxieties, – away.
Her thoughts go back to that night, many years ago, when she was still afraid of the darkness that filled the space between dusk and dawn...
[Flashback]
This school evening didn’t portend any changes in her life. Just another event where she would fantasize about being invited to dance by one particular person, and will be approached by anyone but him.
But as soon as the sunset burned out, dance music began to play in the large school hall and Marinette took her usual waiting spot near the exit – simply because from here she had a good view of most of the hall and she could pine after the boy she liked while watching him from a distance, – the light turned off.
Not only did the lights go out, but apparently the power went out because the music stopped and all she could see was darkness, and all she could hear was the noise of worried students.
Overcoming her long-standing fear of the dark, Marinette swallowed, clenched her teeth, and holding on to the wall headed for the exit, – if there was an Akuma responsible for this somewhere, which wouldn’t be surprising since Hawk Moth liked to attack her school during public events, – she needed to transform and find them...
Walking down a dark corridor away from the bulk of the people and reaching the nearest class, Marinette called to the room, checking to see if anyone was there, but no one answered her. She went in and closed the door behind her before calling for Tikki.
“Do you think it’s an Akuma?” The girl asked, going to the window, where was the brightest spot in the room, but the light was still extremely dim, because it came only from the moon – all city buildings and street lamps within her visibility were also shrouded in darkness. “It will be difficult for me to jump around the rooftops in such darkness without night vision, but I’ll probably have to do it anyway…”
“I’m not sure, Marinette.” The kwami replied with hesitation. “Perhaps it’s…” Tikki trailed off and slid back into her chosen’s purse as the door opened and someone entered the class.”
“Is there someone here?” A familiar male voice asked, and after hearing it, Marinette immediately became calmer in this darkness, from which unpleasant goosebumps were running down her back.
“Felix!” She breathed out in relief, – although she was looking for solitude herself, it was only when Marinette was alone in the dark that she realized how unprepared she was for this.
“Miss Dupain-Cheng…” He responded courteously, if a little irritably, as if he wasn’t happy to find her here. “I didn’t mean to disturb you, excuse me.” He said hastily and the door opened again, which only meant that he was about to leave.
The prospect of being alone with the darkness that frightened her, – which didn’t seem anything special in the light of street lamps and windows, but which aroused some primitive horror in her now, when there were no usual sources of light around, – terrified her even more than the fear of looking ridiculous, and with a loud cry of “No!” Marinette rushed to the door to stop him from leaving.
Almost blind in the darkness, she stumbled on the flat floor and collapsed into his arms, thankfully ready for her clumsiness. “I… am sorry, F-felix…” Marinette muttered as the boy helped her straighten up. “I didn’t mean to… I… Of course you can go… I just… I…”
At the thought that he would leave and she would be left alone, Marinette felt her breath become difficult, and the gray shadows around her began to merge into a blur of gloom, and her shoulders shook with uncontrollable trembling.
“...cheng… Marinette… Marinette!” Reached her blurred consciousness and the girl tried to focus her eyes on his face, which was barely visible in the darkness of the classroom – away from the window. “Can you hear my voice, Marinette? Breathe with me, do you hear? Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out…”
“I… you… go… dark… dark…” Marinette muttered as she struggled to understand what was happening and continued to choke on the air. Now there were no specific frightening thoughts in her head, but just a diffuse anxiety that didn’t allow her to calm down.
She felt the ring of his arms tighten around her, and the warmth of his closeness eased her anxiety slightly, though Marinette was still unable to regain her breath. “I’m here…” His low voice whispered, as softly as she’d ever heard Felix speak, as if penetrating her mind and displacing her anxiety. “I’m here, with you, Marinette…”
Her body began to relax and go limp against his chest, then she felt the hot stream of his breath right on her face as Felix leaned down to her. As if it was the most correct, the most natural action in the world, his lips found hers, and a completely different shiver went down Marinette’s back, – warm and enveloping, calming and exciting, but with a completely different emotion.
His kiss was very slow, and as tender as she would never have expected it to be from a man as cold on the outside as Felix seemed to be. His hands slightly loosened their grip on her, as if letting her take that part of the control over her body that she already could, overcoming her anxiety.
When his lips completely stopped, not moving away from hers however, but continuing to slowly breathe into them, and sending more and more waves of warmth and relaxation down her back, – Marinette pulled away from his face a little, as if to look into his eyes – if only it were possible in such darkness.
“Felix…” She whispered under her breath, peering into the outlines of his face and not being able to see them clearly.
Was this his way of stopping her anxiety attack? If so, it definitely worked, but her poor heart wasn’t sure it was ready to pay for it with its subsequent disappointment...
“Perhaps confessing my feelings to you is just as good now as it is any other time…” He spoke softly, and loosened his grip on her even more. “Forgive me… I shouldn’t have… I just…”
Felix let go of her completely, and Marinette instantly felt how cold it seemed without his embrace, and her next words seemed as natural in this darkness as the touch of his lips a little earlier. “I love you, Felix…” She whispered, and before he had a chance to escape, she pulled him by the neck towards her.
Felix sucked in a sharp breath, – as if her words burned his chest from the inside with the same heat as his words burned hers, – and his next kiss was already more insistent and desperate, as if he was afraid that she would escape and leave him alone, and not vice versa…
“Do you think it’s an Akuma?” Marinette asked in a low voice some time later, when she was recovering from the several passionate kisses they shared in the darkness and that made her breathless.
“The Akuma alarm system is self-powered, so regardless of access to city electricity, we would have heard the alarm.” Felix answered authoritatively. “Probably there was some kind of breakdown in the city power plant.”
“You… will you stay with me until the breakdown is fixed?” She asked carefully, afraid to frighten off what was happening between them.
Felix hugged her tighter in his arms and kissed her hair. “Until then, and then until you let me.” He answered.
Marinette relaxed and closed her eyes, where a warm darkness met her.
But it seemed that she would no longer be afraid of this gap between dusk and dawn. There was a lot of happiness hiding in it, after all...
[End of flashback]
She sees the dawn begin to creep up, slowly but surely, penetrating the sky and unavoidably resurrecting light.
She turns away from the window and watches her husband sleep, his chest rising and falling calmly, the light strands of hair tangled on his forehead.
Her attention is drawn by quick light steps in the hallway and the door opens. “Mommy, can I stay with you and daddy?” Little blonde girl asks from the threshold.
“Of course, honey.” She says, and when little feet run up to the bed and slide under the covers between her and her husband, burrowing deeper, she adds. “You can always come to me, my girl, daddy and I are always with you.”
“I love you, mommy…” Her daughter mutters back, – her eyes already closed as she falls asleep almost instantly.
She looks around the slowly brightening room once more and lies down too, burrowing under the covers together with her family.
While the dawn is coming, she still has time to get more sleep and enjoy the rest of the fading darkness.

Felinette November Day 1:
Purrito
Tumblr media
It’s almost midnight and so I’m not gonna finish the colors today, but tomorrow’s prompt is gonna give this some context. A vicious akuma has transformed poor lil' Felix into *le gasp* a cat boy! And since he absolutely can’t be seen like that in public he seeks shelter at Marinette's, who eventually manages to calm him down enough in order to sneak away to transform.
And so what if he’s cute when he's sleeping?! She's got a job to do!
...
...five more minutes maybe.

Felinette November Day 1 || Purrito

Felinette November 2020 Masterlist
mistydacat Masterlists
This isn't mentioned but I'll give a quick backstory for this to make sense.
Marinette moved to an art school, but steal sees her old friends. At her new school, she befriends Allan, Claude, Allegra, and Felix. Marinette is still Ladybug, Adrien is still Chat Noir.
Established Relationship between Felix and Marinette.
»»————- ⚜ ————-««
Marinette counted the stuffies that lay on the ground.
Twenty-three.
Twenty-four.
Twenty-five.
Twenty-six.
Twenty-six stuffed animals that she had handmade.
For Manon.
The young girl had come over about a week ago. They had played with the Ladybug and Cat Noir stuffies, as per usual. This time, though, Marinette thought it was getting boring for Manon to play with the same stuffies every time, so she decided it was time to make a few new stuffies.
And so, here she was, a week later. She may have gone just a tad overboard.
Okay, maybe just a little more than a tad overboard. Manon wouldn't play with all of them. Maybe five, max.
She could give Manon a few to take home and keep some in her room for when she comes over, but that would still leave a lot.
Oh! I should give some to my friends as a gift! Marinette thought, getting excited. She was meeting up with Adrien, Nino, and Alya that weekend, and she would see Claude, Allegra, Allan and Felix when she went to school.
She observed the stuffies. Which ones should she give? She had a ladybug doll (the insect, not her superhero persona), perfect for Alya. She had a dog and a cat wearing headphones. Allan would love the dog, and Nino would take the cat. An owl for Allegra. A monkey for Claude. She had a smiling sun, which she would give to Adrien.
That left twenty options for Felix.
Marinette's eyes landed on the most recent one she'd made.
A black cat peeking out of a burrito.
Perfect.
Felix had always complained about his bad luck, even after getting rid of his cursed ring. The black cat was perfect.
Or... purrfect.
...Perhaps she had been spending too much time with Cat Noir. His puns were starting to rub off on her.
»»————- ⚜ ————-««
The next day, Marinette went to school with the stuffies in her bag. The first few classes went by pretty smoothly, as usual. No akumas, either.
By the time lunch rolled around, Marinette was hyped to give her friends their gifts, but, to her surprise, Felix wasn't there.
Marinette unlocked her phone and, finding three missed messages, opened up their group chat.
Grumpy: I have a pretty bad cold.
Grumpy: I don't think I can make it to school today.
Grumpy: Also, why the hell is this still my nickname.
Marinette pouted. "He's sick." She informed the group.
Allan frowned. "That sucks. Do you think we could drop by after school and visit him?"
"Let's ask." Marinette responded.
Nettie: Can we come over later and keep you company for a while?
There was no response for a few minutes before the three dots finally appeared at the bottom left, signifying that he was typing.
Grumpy: I'd prefer it if you didn't. I don't want to get you all sick.
Nettie: Okay! But we're seeing you the second you feel better <333
Grumpy: Thank you.
"Felix said no. He doesn't want to make us sick." Marinette explained. "Oh, and I have things for you guys!" Marinette opened her bag and started taking out the stuffies.
»»————- ⚜ ————-««
(Definitely not skipping a bunch of stuff because just getting up to this point has taken me a ridiculously long amount of time, and I very much do not want to spend a million years on that scene. No way!)
A few days later, while Marinette was working on a sewing commission, she received a notification from her phone. She checked, realizing it was a private message from Felix.
Felix ❤: Hey, I am feeling a lot better. Would you like to meet up somewhere today?
Marinette: Of course! Where do you wanna go?
Felix ❤: How about that cafe near the park?
Marinette: Okay! See you in an hour?
Felix ❤: Okay.
Today was a warm day, so Marinette put on a pink t-shirt and some jeans. She almost left without the stuffy she had made for Felix but managed to remember it right before she left the bakery. This was the perfect opportunity to give it to him.
"Do you think he'll like it?" Marinette asked Tikki.
"You made it! Of course, he'll like it!” Her kwami assured her.
Marinette arrived at the cafe on time for once. Maybe it was because she was excited. Despite her rare punctuality, Felix still came before her.
Felix was sitting at a two-person table next to the window. The blond was dressed in his usual attire: a dress shirt with a vest and dress pants.
"Felix!"  Marinette greeted him once she reached the table, pulling him into a hug once he got up.
Felix smiled warmly, accepting her embrace.
Marinette gave Felix a quick kiss before sitting down, causing Felix to blush. He still wasn't quite used to physical affection. He sat down as well.
"You seem to be in a good mood." He commented. Watching Marinette's cheery expression warmed his heart.
"I have something for you." She told him, reaching into her purse to take out the stuffy.
Marinette placed it on the table, watching as Felix examined the small object.
"Is that... a cat inside of a... burrito?" He asked incredulously.
"A Purrito." Marinette corrected, giggling a little.
"A what?"
Marinette burst into a fit of laughter. "Purrito." She said again.
Felix pinched the bridge of his nose. "Nettie. This is ridiculous." He said, using the nickname her newer group of friends had assigned her.
"You called me Nettie! You like it!" She accused.
"I do not!" He retorted though the look on his face suggested otherwise.
»»————- ⚜ ————-««
About two weeks later, Marinette video called Felix after school. He had answered the call from his desk in his room. In the background, Marinette could see his bed and nightstand. And, more importantly, what was on the nightstand.
"Is that my Purrito?" She asked him.
Felix turned around, his eyes catching the little black cat on his nightstand. His face turned red.
"Uh." He said dumbly, searching his brain for an excuse.
"I knew it! You liked it! You sleep with it next to your bed? Felix, that's adorable."
Felix's cheeks burned a deeper shade of red.
"Admit it, Felix. Please?"
"Alright. Fine. I liked the Purrito thing and was too embarrassed to admit it."
Needless to say, that confession brought a lot of Purrito-themed gifts with it. Larger stuffies, shirts, sweaters, sweatpants. Felix was beginning to think that he would need a second closet solely for all the Purrito clothes he had received. (which he only ever wore to sleep or to sleepovers with Marinette)
Marinette teased him about it relentlessly, which he didn't mind at first, until Claude, Allan, and Allegra joined in on it too.
It wasn't long until his name on the group chat was changed to 'PurritoLover107'.
Felix almost choked when Marinette called him "My Little Purrito."
Eventually, the Purrito jokes died down, along with Marinette's horrendous nickname.
But he still went to sleep in the clothes she has given him, and the little Purrito still sat on his nightstand, watching over him.

Andrè is a Matchmaker
Felinette day 1; Matchmaking.
*Apologies for the chaotic writing, it's 2 am and I cannot focus for the life of me.*
----
They stumbled in on a Sunday afternoon, clutching each other in hysteric laughter and a red string between their right pinkies.
Andrè Glacier was a hopeless romantic,– a lover of love and a believer of soulmates. Of course, why wouldn't he be? His clairvoyance for romance and passion for love was all inherited, after all. Passed down from his ancestors, to his grandfather, to his own mother, until he was finally given the mantle of Paris' matchmaker, his ice cream scoop a symbol of his role.
Paris was known as the city of love, and for this, Andrè could not be more thankful. The idea of love in general gave him joy; seeing the hope and happiness it sparked between couples, both young and old. Love was abundant, no doubt, but it frequented Paris more often than not.
Above all else, did Andrè value people who found their soulmates. It was a rarity, yes, but such made the bond all the more valuable. Andrè knew of the red string of fate; he'd say he knew it well. He often recalled the stories of soul bonds and soulmates that his mother told him, of both his ancestor's experiences and of hers. And when he finally witnessed his first pair of soulmates in the union of Sabine Cheng and Tom Dupain,– well... None of his elaborate rhymes could ever describe the pure happiness that illuminated their eyes whenever they were together.
And the most recent pair...
They stumbled in on a Sunday afternoon, in a remote part of the local park where Andrè had settled his ice cream stand at. The sun was high and it glared furiously, threatening to melt his icy treats if not for the trees that shielded his stand. It was a peaceful spot, practically barren of chatter with only the chirping of local pigeons to break the silence. The peace was gone when Andrè turned to see two teens clutching each other in hysterical laughter, suspiciously disheveled with mischief in their eyes. They hid behind his ice cream stand. Andrè had immediately recognized the young girl as Marinette Dupain-Cheng, with monochromatic boy chuckling at her side.
It was a peculiar sight, though what truly captured his attention was the glowing red string between their right pinkies.
The laughter soon died down and the boy was the first one to notice Andrè, steely grey eyes (or were they Blue?) met his gaze with a deadpan glare, dropping the joyful expression in a mere millisecond. Marinette was the one to greet him after following the boy's gaze. With a peppy jump,.
"Andrè! I wasn't expecting to see you here!"
"But of course, Love leads to the strangest of places! From bridges to park, to put smiles on your faces!" Andrè greeted them with a theatric rhyme, jovial and upbeat.
Marinette giggled before gasping abruptly, "Oh, before I forget! Andrè, this is Felix. Felix, this is Andrè, the ice cream man!"
Andrè almost pitied the boy's standoffishness, "Pleasure to meet you." Felix greeted him clearly, though it was much too formal for Andrè to deem it normal.
"We kind of got caught up in a... crowd." Marinette looked sheepish, rubbing the back of her head. As if on cue, Andrè heard the screaming of what seemed like teenage girls in the distance.
"Stampede is a much more fitting term." Felix dryly added, rolling his eyes.
Andrè grinned, "A monochrome boy and a girl so sweet. Say, would you like an icy treat?" he almost leaped at the opportunity.
"Do you want some, Felix?" Marinette asked.
Felix paused, hesitance flickered in his eyes. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt..." He relented after glancing at Marinette's hopeful face.
"Right! Two ice cream cups, please." She announced.
"But of cour–" Andrè halted.
Wait, two cups? This doesn't make sense.
"Not a sweetheart ice cream for both of you?"
"No, no! We're not together!" A blush dusted Marinette's cheeks as she denied his assumption with frantic hands.
Andrè frowned. Had he read them wrong? Surely not, the red string clearly connected their souls together. But Andrè couldn't quite grasp why they didn't have a singular flavor that most soulmates had. Felix clearly had Marinette in his mind, but another clearly held the sweet girl's heart. Soulmates always had one flavor that described their completed soul, if they realized their bond that is. Sabine and Tom's was vanilla, pure and sweet just like their classic love. Jagged Stone and Penny Rolling received rocky road, for sweet unpredictability.
"Coming right up!" Andrè did his best to not falter.
No, this isn't right. Andrè figured that they haven't realized their bond quite yet,– thus they haven't quite found their true flavors.
But fate whispered into his ear, that this pair wouldn't end as star-crossed lovers.
"Peach pink like his lips and mint like his eyes." Andrè recited, swiftly piling the scoops on the cup.
"Here you go!"
Marinette smiled, "Thanks a lot, Andrè!"
"Strawberry sweet for her sugary heart, blackberry for her hair, and blueberry for her sky blue stare!" Andrè didn't think that Felix truly believed in his 'magical' ice cream, but he would let it pass.
"Thank you..." Felix stiffly said.
"It's my pleasure, Mademoiselle, Monsoir. Come again soon. For now, bonsoir."
Andrè needn't worry,– he had a feeling that this wouldn't be their last visit.
----
They had stumbled in on a Sunday afternoon, and they had visited many times more after. From sunny weathers to rainy days, circumstances always seemed to bring Felix and Marinette to his ice cream. Whether by fate or coincidence, though Andrè was sure it was the former.
With each passing visit, he watched them grow more comfortable; grow more in sync. They would know each other's words better, predict each other's movements and mannerisms like muscle memory. The sparkle of joy in their eyes grew as well. From a flickering flame, into starlight, brightly burning. The other boy in Marinette's heart faded away little by little, being replaced by none other than Felix himself. Andrè looked forward to the day that they would recognize each other as their other half.
The day they did was stormy and dreary,– they were both soaked head to toe in rain water, their clothes clung to their bodies. Yet despite the gloomy circumstances, they both laughed and smiled under the shelter of a single jacket. They approached his stand protected beneath a large umbrella, skipping with unabashed glee. And oddly enough, it was Felix who requested the couple's ice cream, while Marinette nodded enthusiastically beside him. It was momentous, really, if not a bit strange. Andrè nearly jumped with joy when he handed them the cup. He was sure to tell Tom and Sabine later when he stopped by the bakery.
Today, they sat comfortably on a bench, a little ways farther from his stand. Laughter was evident in their interactions, even from where Andrè stood, he could tell. Matchmaking aside, his mother told him many stories of soulmates that were cursed as star-crossed lovers, separated and unfavored by fate. He was just happy that they finally found each other, no tragedy in their wake.
----
"Andrè's sweetheart ice cream is really miraculous! Can you believe it finally brought Juleka and Rose together?" Marinette sat down next to her dear boyfriend, a cold cone of ice cream in her hand.
"I never really believed in the 'soulmates' and 'matchmaking' gimmick." Felix muttered, putting his book down beside him.
"And yet you stuck around to eat ice cream with me. Tell me, was it because you're actually a closet sweet tooth, or is there another reason for your adamance?" Marinette only smirked,– poking Felix in the cheek.
He grumbled, "You cheeky little bug. If I didn't know any better, I'd argue that you wielded the Fox miraculous."
Marinette scoffed, "Oh please, we both know that you're slyer than me." she pinched his cheek.
"Truthfully, I only relented each time because you looked so hopeful." Felix pinched her cheek in return.
"Oh Felix, ever the jerk with a heart of gold. Just admit that Andrè was a better matchmaker than you expected." Marinette snickered.
"Shut up and eat your ice cream." Felix shoved a spoon into Marinette's mouth, pink stained his pale face. She only laughed, savoring Felix's flustered face as well as the taste of cold and creamy salted caramel.
----
Felix will forever be the Jerk with a Heart of Gold to me. No creepy Adrien clone can stop me.

A Presentation to the Matchmaker
Hello, Happy November everyone! Let’s get cosy with some Felinette prompts!
Day One: Matchmaker
A Presentation to the Matchmaker
Alya, glancing at her phone arrived at the library, crossed through the desks and sat down opposite Felix. At her arrival Felix turned from staring out the window to his left to meet her questioning gaze.
“Alright Felix, I got your text. What was the ‘important matter’ that you wanted to discuss with me?” Alya finger-quoted.
Felix folded his hands on the tabletop in front of him. He looks ready for an interview, Alya’s lips quirked upwards at he thought.
“So.” He went quiet and drummed his knuckles on the wood briefly before speaking, “I know that you are the resident ‘match-maker’ of the classroom.”
“Well…” Alya interrupted, “If you want to get technical, Marinette is more of a match-maker than I am. She’s gotten three couples together since I’ve known her.”
“I’m really just trying to be a match-maker for her.” Alya admitted.
Felix nodded along, “Yes, I’m aware.” He cleared his throat, “I have a proposal to make, if you are interested, that is.
Alya sat up a little straighter – Felix wanted to help Alya get Marinette and Adrien together? This could work, Alya thought. Felix was a practical, methodical type of guy – he would be able to fine-tune any plan Alya came up with. Having him on her side was basically a guaranteed success.
She leaned forward slightly, “I’m listening.”
A brief expression crossed his face (nerves? relief?) and was gone before Alya could pick out exactly what it was.
“Perfect.” Felix leaned down to his knapsack and brought out a folder, shuffling through the contents briefly, “I think that you should change targets.”
He slid a photograph to her and she picked it up. He continued, “I would like to submit myself as a candidate as a potential boyfriend for Marinette.”
Alya, surprised by his proposal, stared blankly at Felix’s headshot before looking back at him. A light blush spread across his cheeks from the eye-contact but otherwise, showed no other signs of embarrassment. He cleared his throat and continued, laying down a Venn-diagram.
“I have created this visual to further my point.” He pointed to the center, “As you can see, we share a number of similar qualities. For example: We are both near the top of our grade, we are both multi-lingual, and we both participate as models in the fashion industry – a field which gives Marinette her joie de vivre.”
He ticked off each quality on his hand. “However, I believe that my strength lies in our differences. For example: I am not a top model – which means that, unlike Adrien, I have more free time, which is more time to spend with Marinette. Another bonus that I would like to highlight is that Marinette and I are able to have coherent, easy-flowing, and often riveting, conversations.”
Felix laid another Venn-diagram down, this time depicting Marinette’s and his name. Alya’s eyebrows crept further up towards her hairline as he went on.
“While it may not look like we share many common interests other than fashion, I believe that, again, our differences could be our strength. Marinette and I share complementary traits that I believe would bring out the best in both of us.”
Felix went quiet and Alya realised that he was waiting for her to speak. She opened and closed her mouth before finally saying, “…This is very, um, wow.”
The silence between them stretched out as Alya struggled to think of more to say. What could she say? She wondered. Make a joke? Say thank you? She was at a complete loss.
“…I uh– Thank, you?” She finally got out, wanted to slap her palm over her face. What kind of response was that?
Felix gave her a tight-lipped smile, “Thank you for taking the time to hear out my proposal. I will, um, leave you with these copies and… wait for a text on your final decision.”
And with that, Felix turned and practically ran out of the library, leaving Alya before she could say anything more. She reached for her phone, the weight of it in her hand making her feel more grounded in reality, and watched him go, thinking about she had never seen him so flustered before.
It was kinda sweet, she decided as she fiddled with the corners of one of the Venn-diagrams, that he had put so much effort into trying to impress her with visual aids to explain his crush on Marinette. It was odd, but so very Felix of him.
She shuffled the pages so that his headshot was back on top and flipped it over, expecting to see his model specs written on the back. Instead, a handwritten letter greeted her. She rolled her eyes because of course he would include a personal essay. Then Alya took the time to actually read it.
Marinette,
When I first met you – you were so different than me and, because of that, you were at the top of my dislike list. Many of your actions confused and irritated me – how could you be so assertive in some situations, yet allow other ones to steam-roll you? You were always late. I cannot count how many classes you’ve interrupted by thundering into the room after the bell has rung. And the worst thing of all?
You are so nosy.
I thought this, above all else, was the worst trait you possessed. You made it a mission to know everything about what felt like every single person. I found it beyond aggravating that I was the only person who seemed to mind – and even ore aggravating that everyone seemed to like your nosiness.
Slowly though, over the course of the year, something changed. I began to pay attention. I paid attention to why were late. I paid attention to how you used the information you had on other people. Once I started noticing those things, a thousand smaller things were thrust into focus – like the warmth you give to even people you dislike or how you utilize creativity in everything you do – from problem-solving to your clothes. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn.
I want to learn why your favourite movie is your favourite.
I want to discover how to make you happy.
But most of all – I want to learn what your hand feels like in mine.
Smiling, Alya shuffled the papers till the Venn-diagram of Felix and Adrien was on top and placed it on the table. Then she took out a pen and wrote in a small space at the bottom of the ‘Felix’ section: Sees Marinette as more than ‘just a friend’.

Person A got Person B Akumatized when person B was trick or treating. Saying that Person B’s costume was bad and that Person B was too old to be trick or treating. So now, Person B can turn people younger and give them bad costumes. Um.. Marinette got zapped and since Felix was near her both of them became younger? with Marinette getting a costume change since she was the original person who got zapped. @felinettenovember.

                                    Felinette November
                                          Day 1 - Matchmaking
                                                         -x-
Alya had noticed the way he looked at her. How, unlike Adrien, you could see the longing look in his eyes when they parted, or the constant flush of his cheeks when they talked. And how, unlike Adrien, she could talk to him with no stuttering, or mumbling, or jumbling up her words.
So it was with a determined mind that after school the next day, she approached Felix after class. "I know you like Marinette. And... I want to help you win her over."
"I don't think I have much of a chance." He said, posture stiff, looking slightly uncomfortable. It was only Marinette that he relaxed around. "What with her obvious feelings for Agreste."
"Leave that to me."
                                                         -x-
Marinette was... Confused to say the least. Alya knew she was crushing on Adrien, yet she kept setting up elaborate schemes where she ended running into Felix, not Adrien.
First, was an ice cream shop. Alya had texted her saying a certain blonde was there eating some ice cream, and Marinette had run in to find Felix sitting at a table by himself, eating a spoonful of vanilla ice cream. And seeing as how Adrien had probably already left, she gave him a smile before ordering her own ice cream, a strawberry cone with sprinkles, and sitting down to join him.
Second was an arcade. It was supposed to have been the four of them, her, Alya, Nino, and Adrien, but Nathalie had scheduled a last minute photoshoot for him. So when Alya winked at her, and told her she and Nino wanted some alone time, and that another certain blonde looked kinda lonely over by the Just Dance game, she'd rushed over to find Felix... Completely lost on how to start the game, let alone play it, and well, she couldn't have that now could she? So forgetting about Adrien for the moment, she taught her friend how the machine worked (as well as everything else in the arcade).
Then there was the library. Alya had given her a heads up that a certain blonde was heading there after school, so with a bright smile she rushed over as soon as she could... To find Felix sitting on a chair, book in hand, as he slowly read the current page he was on. But seeing as she'd once again missed Adrien, she smiled before choosing a book of her own, and sitting down next to him, and silently began reading, enjoying her friend's company.
It was after the fifth time, when she thought she was supposed to be meeting Adrien at a coffee shop, but instead she found Felix slowly drinking a cup of coffee, that she began to put the pieces together... Well, some of them anyway.
"Are you trying to set me up with Felix?" She asked Alya, after she got home from the coffeeshop. "You know I like Adrien. Why would you do that to Felix? He's my friend."
"Just a friend?" She asked, and Marinette could hear the smugness in her voice.
"Yeah?"
"Just like how you're Adrien's 'just a friend?"
"What are you saying, Als?"
"I think we both know what I'm saying, girl. I've gotta go though, I'll see you tomorrow." And with that, she hung up.
And Marinette knew she had a lot of thinking to do.
                                                        -x-
"Alya," She said the following day in homeroom, "I think... I think I like Felix."
"Well then, why don't you go talk to him? Tell him how you feel!"
"I can't do that! What if he doesn't feel the same? Then things will get all awkward!"
"Just talk to him." Alya said, nodding towards Felix's desk in the back, a making a shooing motion with her hands. "Go."
Marinette gave her a small smile, before grabbing her bag and making her way over to the back. She placed her bag on top of the desk, which alerted Felix of her presence, before sitting down next to him. "Hey." She said quietly.
"Hey."
"I-" They said in unison, a blush now adorning both their cheeks.
"You first." He said.
"I, uh... I like you, Felix. As in, more than a friend."
He gave her a small smile. "I like you too, Marinette."
They didn't say anything else. She just rested her head on top of his shoulder, a took a deep breath. So content, she didn't even notice when Adrien walked in, and sat down. Or when he sent a curious gaze their way. And she never knew about the feeling he had when he first saw the two together that day in class.

Felinette November - Day 1: New Recipes
(Ao3 link)
Marinette likes experimenting with what's edible. Félix doesn't like being her main taster.
-------------------
The rhythmic cracking of ambers bundled Félix in a protective and warm bubble as he lazily flipped a page of the book propped up on his lap, back resting on soft pillows. The house was silent, for once, and the fireplace’s soft light was enough for him to have a peaceful read without hurting his eyes.
So of course it wouldn’t last long.
The lights switched on with a bang—that switch was still going to break one of these days—and pounding footsteps eagerly approached the low couch chairs by the heart. Félix could only sigh and put his book aside as a tray was smacked on the center table in front of him.
He lifted his eyes to a beaming Marinette with yellow, pink, and blue powder smeared on her face and clothes that he honestly didn’t want to know anything about. Which was a surprise for his curious nature, but Marinette, somehow, made even him wary of new discoveries.
“What is it now,” he asked cautiously, poking the blue cube and scrunching up his nose when it wiggled.
“Just jelly!” She took a seat across from him, putting an elbow on the table and placing her chin on a palm. “Come on–” She pushed the tray to him. “The taste is divine, you have to try it.”
He arched a brow at her. “Did you taste it first?”
She bit the inside of her cheeks.
Félix grabbed his book and stood up.
“Nooooooo! Félix, pleeeeaaaaaase!” She leaned over the table, pushing the tray aside as she grasped his wrist. “I need an impartial judge! I can’t criticize my own cooking properly.”
“Translating,” Félix said, groaning as he let her pull him back to his sitting position. “You need someone that still has a decent paladar.”
Marinette humphed and crossed her arms. “There’s nothing wrong with my paladar, thank you very much.”
“Love, you swear that crickets are just like crackers.”
“If they’re crispy enough, people can’t even tell the difference! And they have way more nutritional value.”
Félix took in a whimpering breath, eyeing the three blocks of “jelly” in front of him with a frown tugging at his mouth.
“If I take one bite and not like it, the kitchen is off-limits for you for a week.”
Marinette grinned. “Deal.”
Félix narrowed his eyes at her. “The grill and the basement too.” He paused with a thoughtful look. “And the fireplace.”
Her pupils dilated the slightest bit, but the smile remained in place as she nodded in agreement.
Contented, he took the spoon from the trail and, after a deep inhale, took a bite out of the pink cube.
Marinette watched with bated breath as he swallowed the contents, fists pressed on her lap, no doubt to keep them from fidgeting.
“So?” She asked, anticipation and nervousness lacing her voice when he didn’t say anything.
Félix closed his eyes and blew out a sigh. “Dammit.” He picked up the pink jelly’s plate and took another spoonful out of it.
“Yes!” Marinette jumped up, punching the air. “Hah! Take that! You’re not getting away from my amazing cooking that easily.”
“I swear you’re scheming to kill my tastebuds,” Félix muttered in-between bites, a smile playing at his lips.
“I mean–” Marinette came behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck, resting her chin on his shoulder. “–if it made you consider–”
“No. No way in hell I’m eating worms.”

Imposter And Imposition
PV Felinette
(Ao3 / Wattpad)
[day 1] [day 2] [day 3] [day 4] [day 5]
Felinette November Prompt Week, Day 5, Fri. (Nov 25): Imposter & Imposition
Hey guys! Some Multivegse shenanigans - for @felinettenovember week and for you!
______________________
Ladybug stamped her foot. “Chat!” She exclaimed irritably, tired of listening to the verbal skirmish.
The two men stopped arguing and both turned their heads towards her.
“Yes, my lady!” They spoke in one voice, and again turned to face each other – obvious annoyance and anger on their faces.
“She’s not your lady!” Exclaimed Chat Noir, whom she had by this point mentally labeled as ‘hers’, – he was slightly taller and didn’t have a staff, like the other had.
“She’s Ladybug!” The second Chat Noir objected. “And I call her the way I used to!” He had softer features that made him look younger – although from a distance Marinette would hardly be able to distinguish the two of them.
Something weird – even for Paris – has been going on in the city since early morning. People, who duplicated other people – sometimes so accurately, down to their clothes, that they couldn’t be distinguished from the originals, started appearing everywhere. For example, when Marinette hugged her best friend at school, Chloe almost hissed at her, cursing and calling her by her last name with anger and disgust.
Marinette just stared at her in surprise, blinking silently, until HER Chloe came from the toilet and explained that the impudent one broke into her room at her father’s hotel and claimed that this was her room. And since even the parents couldn’t decide who their real daughter was, they sent both of them to school...
But when, after the first lesson, Marinette ran away from school, pretending to be sick in order to find an Akuma, responsible for the chaos, –there was none. No one chased her around the city in a strange costume and demanded to give them magical jewelry, no one shot at passers-by with ridiculous weapons - nothing.
Marinette was about to detransform and return to school when Chat Noir materialized out of thin air on one of the rooftops not far from her. Or rather, then she thought that it was her partner, but judging by what he managed to explain to her before HER Chat Noir joined them and a heated argument ensued between the men, – he fought with an Akuma and got hit by them.
The Akuma called themselves Imposition and threatened to force everyone who behaved inappropriately (namely, simply got in their way or refused to give up their miraculous – in case of superheroes) to be sent to where they would be taught to live differently. What that meant they didn’t know, – the second Chat Noir (or, as her partner stubbornly kept calling him, Imposter) explained, but people just disappeared from view. And, as logically followed from what they could observe around, – those people moved to this Paris, – the same, but different.
“You have no right to call her your lady, Imposter!” Chat Noir snorted, or rather, HER Chat Noir, – Marinette herself was already starting to get angry from all this confusion, and most importantly from the fact that from all these conversations it turned out that the Akuma remained there, in that Paris, where another Ladybug was to fight with them. And she – local Ladybug – couldn’t do anything about it.
“So your Ladybug is completely alone now?” The heroine managed to insert in between their arguments.
Both men turned to her again.
“Not completely alone, of course,” The not-her Chat Noir admitted. “But without me, it will be hard for them to cope…”
“Them?” The local Chat Noir asked suspiciously.
This time, Marinette could agree with his wary tone. There were two heroes in their Paris, and she could hardly imagine how she would have coped without her partner if he would disappear.
“Well, the other miraculous holders, obviously.” Chat-Imposter replied. “Don’t you have those here as well? Rena Rouge? Carapace?” He looked from her to her partner and back again. “Not even Queen Bee?”
Ladybug crossed her arms over her chest in a protective gesture, – the names that didn’t mean anything annoyed her, as if someone was discussing a movie that she hadn’t yet seen, and this made her feel uncomfortable. As if sensing her distress, Chat Noir, who was her real partner, took a step towards her and stood beside the heroine, as if opposing the two of them to their unexpected guest.
“And you never met the person who gave you your miraculous?” The Imposter clarified, – to which both local heroes shook their heads. “I see. Well, have you at least swapped miraculous between yourselves?” He asked hopefully. “I’ve had to work with Tikki a couple of times and it was a great break from Plagg’s constant grumbling, – although he makes me feel much more like myself and I missed the guy.”
Ladybug turned to her partner, slightly taken aback by this statement, and found that he was looking at her with the same expression. Arguing over whether his curse of bad luck should be removed by her kiss was a frequent pastime during their first months of working together...
Chat Noir cleared his throat and turned back to their guest. “You can take off your ring.” He more stated than asked. “And Plagg, doesn’t he bring you bad luck?” He took a quick glance at Ladybug and looked back at the other boy. “I mean, even if I could take off the ring, I wouldn’t exchange our miraculous. She doesn’t deserve to wear that curse on herself.”
Marinette felt her shoulders twitch with some kind of unpleasant sensation, and a shiver ran down her back.
They stopped arguing about the kiss and the ring long ago, but probably out of habit, she didn’t stop taking his feelings for pretend ones – from when they just met and she didn’t trust him yet. And this fleeting remark was like a slap in the face of her inattention, her inability to see the changes, or maybe to see something real that has always been there.
It was as if Chat Noir said everything she wanted to hear, – that he will always be there and want to protect her. But it wasn’t with these words that he said it, she realized, but she simply failed to notice that he had already told her this many times before – with his actions, comforting her after a difficult Akuma, replacing her on patrols if she was sick, being next to her in every fight and not giving any reason to doubt him.
She was still holding the barriers between them out of habit – ever since she thought he was a liar seeking her kiss just to get rid of the ring and run away. And not only was he not going to leave her if he had such an opportunity, but he wouldn’t allow her to take on a heavy burden, from which she didn’t allow him to get rid of...
“...and I got a mirror, just like I wanted!” The guest continued, and Marinette realized that he had been saying something for some time, and she was immersed in her thoughts and didn’t hear a word. “Of course, reflecting the beam coming from the sentimonsder wasn’t the right idea.” The foreign hero said with a nervous, bashful laugh. “But then we figured out how to use it!”
“So, there are two villains in your world and the other one creates these monsters?” Chat Noir asked – her Chat Noir that is, – who was listening intently to the story. “And more heroes to call on when you’re struggling, right?”
“Well, we had two villains, now he alone uses both miraculous.” The Imposter sighed. “But we will defeat him anyway!”
Her Chat took a small step closer to her, moving a little behind Ladybug’s back, as if trying to protect her rear. “We’ll defeat him too. The two of us are enough for it.” He said quietly, but firmly, as if not even for a guest, but for her, or for himself.
Or for the two of them.
And how hadn’t she realized before how much strength his calm confidence gave her?
Probably having this more cheerful Chat also had its advantages, but Marinette felt that she wouldn’t change her serious, sometimes even gloomy partner for anyone.
She leaned back a little, pressing her shoulder to his chest – not sure if she needed support or if she wanted to give it to her partner. But the way his hand fell on her shoulder and gently squeezed it told her that her gesture was right, and probably they both needed it.
“So…” Ladybug began after clearing her throat. “Your Ladybug, she... and you... you two are…” Marinette didn’t know herself what she wanted to ask and how to do it, and who needed the answer, – but the guest somehow understood her question nonetheless.
“My lady and I…” He began, but was interrupted as a red whirlwind swept over the city and the Imposter-Chat vanished into thin air just as he had appeared.
For a while, they stood silently looking at the space he had just occupied.
It was strange for Marinette to see magical powers that were exactly like hers, but definitely not caused by her, and she thought deeply about how many such worlds exist in the universe, and that if not for this Imposition-Akuma, they would never know about their existence...
Chat Noir, the only Chat Noir (and how could it be otherwise?) gently squeezed her shoulder again and Ladybug came to her senses and turned to him. The realization of how long ago she should have corrected her mistake poured into her with new strength and she opened her mouth to say about it when her partner spoke first.
“We don’t need their hints, you know.” He spoke softly, and she realized that he meant her last question, which she herself didn’t fully understand. “We’ll sort out our relationship ourselves.” He continued, and slid his hand up and down her shoulder as if to reassure her.
“You’re probably right…” Ladybug replied, wondering how she could ever mistake his soft, deep gaze for anything other than sincerity. “Listen, Chat,” She began and swallowed nervously. “I should’ve done this a long time ago and I want to apologize for taking so long to realize this. But I... I want to break your curse.”
The man looked at her with an attentive gaze, examining her face, as if trying to understand her motives. Then he sighed, took her hand and bent down to touch her knuckles with his lips. “I have nothing to forgive you for, my lady.” He said softly, straightening up. “And I’d rather get that kiss when it’s not a partner’s gesture of trust, but when it means to you what it means to me.”
He took a step back and briefly bowed only with his head. “See you on patrol.” He said, turned around and jumped to the next roof, quickly disappearing from sight.
Ladybug stood looking after him and feeling her heart pounding wildly.
With all these Akumas, Imposters and Impositions, she completely missed the moment when she started wanting this kiss for the same reasons he wanted it.
